But just like it's just like the first of the
-
year just flipped over yesterday, and here we are in
-
another another month in the new year, the first Sunday,
-
Sunday of the second month.
-
Look at God, look at me dropping every now.
-
An he ain't you glad to be here today? Well,
-
we gonna get right into it, ah, man, let's get
-
right into it. Book of Matthews, very very very We
-
know about this because it's called the Beauty Twoes? Do
-
we know about this? Do we understand the Beauty Twoes? Well,
-
if you don't, we gonna find that. I didn't understand
-
the Beauty two at one time, but I understand it now.
-
God will give you the revelation of understanding, because you
-
know what God says. God says and all I get,
-
and He wants us to get an understanding.
-
Amen.
-
So Sunday, before that we talked about when when you
-
stay connected?
-
Amen.
-
And after we talked about after we talked about staying connected,
-
we talked about how to avoid what disconnects us, which
-
was saying Amen. So we talked about staying connected, and
-
the only way to stay connected is to avoid sining.
-
If we don't avoid saying, we get disconnected. So now
-
we're going to talk about the person that avoids sining
-
and the person that does avoid saying, what this person's
-
in a self should look like.
-
Amen.
-
The person that is connected is the one that avoids sin,
-
and that one that avoids saying, we're gonna talk about
-
how the inner self of that individual should look like
-
that avoid sin, Amen, and stays connected to God.
-
Amen.
-
So let us look at Matthews chapter five and starting
-
at verse one, and it says, this is the Sermon
-
on the Mountain, and this is Jesus, and it's it's
-
watch Jesus here and seeing the multitudes. And seeing the multitudes,
-
he went up into a mountain, and when he was
-
seat sack he and when he was set, his disciples
-
came under him. So he went when he saw the multitude,
-
He saw multitude, and so he had to get in
-
a position where he could see all of them, and
-
he had to get in position where all of.
-
Them could hear him. So he got up in the mountain.
-
When he spoke, his voice would carry because there was
-
so many folks that he had to talk to. And
-
when he got seated, his disciples came under him, and
-
he opened his mouth and taught them, saying, so Jesus.
-
When he opened his mouth, he began to teach how
-
you with me? And he said, Blessed.
-
Are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom
-
of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall
-
be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit
-
the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst
-
after righteousness, for.
-
They shall be filled.
-
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed
-
are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
-
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they should be called the
-
children of God. Are the sons?
-
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake?
-
For theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye when.
-
Men needs, say they? He said, ye, when men shall
-
revail you and persecute you, and shall say all man
-
of evil against you falsely for my sake, So what
-
does God tell us to do? Rejoice and be exceedingly glad,
-
for greatest your reward in heaven for soul. Persecuted they
-
the prophets which were before you. Can you say, man,
-
may be seated in the House of the Lord. I'm
-
gonna pick these apart for you. Hey man, I'm gonna
-
pick them apart and serve you a piece back piece.
-
Amen, so you won't miss nothing. Amen.
-
Somebody, Amen, you don't take all your food. If you
-
got man tatoes and green beanes, you might mix it
-
together and eat it, but you ain't gonna take it
-
all and put it in the pound, shove it down
-
your throat. You got the you, and you ain't gonna
-
take that chicken and shove it down. You're gonna break
-
it down, ain't. You're gonna break the steak down to
-
and eat it.
-
Right. So we're gonna break this word down and eat it. Amen.
-
And we're gonna talk about the heart of God's Child.
-
This is our title, the Heart of God's Child, because
-
this is the kind of heart you gotta have to
-
stay connected and avoid sining.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
So Jesus here he comes with an opening statement of
-
this sermon on the mound, and Jesus opening statement of
-
this sermon on the Mound indicate that this message deals
-
with the inner state of mind and heart that is
-
the indisispensable, absolute truth. Amen of Christian discipleship. It is
-
the absolute indispensable truth of Christian discipleship.
-
If you're a Christian.
-
Jesus' message here indicates the outward manas the station of
-
character and conduct of true believers and genuine disciples. Understand
-
it projects, Amen, this is the indispensable, absolute truth of
-
a Christian who is considered a disciple of Jesus Christ.
-
So with Jesus's teaching here, it will indicate what's on
-
the inside of you, Amen, Because all this that he
-
He's talked.
-
About about, the beauty ties.
-
Is the inner part of a child heart of God.
-
Are you with me?
-
And what's in you will come outwardly because it would
-
manifest its menisters, station will come out of your character
-
and conduct a man of every true believer and every
-
truth and genuine disciple. Listen to the words that I'm using,
-
genuine disciples of Christ.
-
You can't vary from this. I got to tell you
-
the truth.
-
Because this only way you're gonna really grow is with
-
the truth. Can't grow with half a truth, just like
-
you can't be a little pregnant. It's either the truth
-
of Us not you Ei the pregnant that he ain't
-
pregnant you can't be a little pregnant.
-
And you can't get a little truth. You gotta get
-
all the truth.
-
So this discermon that Jesus ministered on the Mount gives
-
proof to what is on the inside of a true believer.
-
It gives a genuine indication of what's on the inside
-
of them that are true believers and true disciples of
-
Jesus Christ.
-
True. I'm gonna use that word luck.
-
It's a way of true Christian. He told you, I'm
-
gonna use that word luck. Lives in God's eyes. It's
-
not the way a Christian lives in other people's eyes.
-
It's the way a Christian lives in God's eyes. Because
-
God's eyes that's looking at us is the only eyes
-
that matter. It don't matter how you live in my eyes,
-
you live in you know, some people, a whole lot
-
of folks in ministry try to live a certain way
-
in the eyes are faster, and his eyes are crooked,
-
and his eyes ain't living the way he's supposed to
-
be live in.
-
Your eyes.
-
Because your eyes got a certain way that your pastor
-
supposed to live and project itself, and he got eyes
-
that he believed you's supposed to live, and what he's
-
supposed to be living believing the way you's supposed to live,
-
and what you's supposed to be believing that he's supposed
-
to be living is what God sees in his eyes.
-
You're thoroughly confused now because it messed me up. So
-
it's not the way we look in somebody else's eyes,
-
but the way we look in God's eyes.
-
Because we got to understand the way of the world.
-
Contradicts God's way a Christians. It contradicts the way of
-
Christian should live. Ay man, God's way that Christians should
-
be living in the world is the way the Word
-
of God tells us how to live a man. Just
-
like this morning when we're talking about blessed he that
-
fear the Lord, that one that reverenced God, and that
-
one that walketh in the way of God. And then
-
it goes forward and he begins to tell you what
-
your blessings is for walking in the ways of God.
-
But I reiterated, the only way you're gonna get that
-
you need to know how to also walk in His ways.
-
We're gonna be blessed for walking in His ways. And
-
it indicated what the blessings are. But I had to
-
indicate to you that you have to know the way
-
to walk. You can't walk any kind of way in
-
God's eyes.
-
And think it's pleasing to God, and think that you are.
-
Totally indispensable and absolute a true Christian of the way
-
God sees it. Because when we talk about being a Christian,
-
you gotta look like Jesus. When God look at you,
-
you gotta look like Jesus. If you don't look like him,
-
you don't look like no Christian. What does Christian mean?
-
Somebody tell me to be?
-
What to be? What to be? What y'all a loud them?
-
If y'all shout loud on that of the baseball game
-
and the loudest one in it, I can't even hear her.
-
All Right, there we go to be what?
-
That's what it means. It don't mean to be like
-
you are like me, I like her, or like him,
-
or be like Mike. It don't mean to be like Beyonce.
-
It means to be like Christ. Every Christian should be
-
striving to be like Christ.
-
The only reason he came here to show us the example.
-
And to save our souls. So we gotta understand that
-
the way of the world contradicts God's way a Christian
-
should be living in the world.
-
So we got the beauty tows here, beauty tooth. What
-
is the beauty too? The beauty too. It's a state
-
of comput happiness and joy.
-
The beauty tooths, it's a state of complete I said,
-
it's a state of complete happiness and joy.
-
That's why I said, blessed Are they blessed? Are they blessed?
-
Are they? What does that mean?
-
Blessed means what I told you this morning? Blessed means happy?
-
Are they happy? So happy is a description of the
-
believers in a condition as a result of the work
-
of God.
-
That's a sea live moment there.
-
See, when you're blessed of the Lord, there is an
-
inner condition that goes along with the fact that you
-
are blessed of the Lord. What is that in a
-
condition that in a condition is the result of the
-
work of God on the inside of you? Hey man,
-
So the beauty tooths do not understand the beauty tooth.
-
The beauty tooth.
-
Ain't talking to a man and trying to tell.
-
Him how to be saved. Amen.
-
The beauty toths do not show a man how to
-
be saved, but Rather, the beauty tooth are describing the
-
characteristics of one who has already been saved. Is describing
-
a save indi visual is describing the heart of a
-
child of God with God's heart in him.
-
Let's break it down for.
-
The vibn Since blessed are the poor in spirit, The
-
poor in spirit are the opposite of the proud. Are
-
haughty in spirit? That man that think more of himself
-
than he is. They have been humbled by the grace
-
of God.
-
Amen.
-
They're not poor in spirit because they because they in
-
a state of depression, they're in the They're poor in
-
spirit because they're humbled to God, and they're humbled by
-
the grace of God, and they have knowledge of their sin.
-
So you got to first get humbled to understand your sining.
-
When you're halty, you don't see your sin cause you
-
be like the Republican.
-
I pray twice a day, pay my time and my offer,
-
give to the poor.
-
I'm greater than that man right there. That's the haughty.
-
But the other man said, he beat against his chest,
-
recognizing that he wasn't needed worthy of being in the
-
presence of God. That's humble, that's haughty. That's recognizing you
-
got sin. So they acknowledge their sin, and therefore there
-
their position with God is that God can save them.
-
Blessed are they that mourn.
-
This is a deep depth of one's humility and realization
-
of one's unworthiness.
-
Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.
-
This is one that realizes one's unworthiness before God. The
-
one that don't come so proud like I did all
-
you're telling me to do the long Why you ain't
-
gave me my cake so I can eat it now?
-
You got the wrong spirit. Hey man, you're not.
-
You're not in a deep humiliation, humiliation of state, not realizing,
-
you're not realizing you think you worthy of whatever. You're
-
supposed to do this for me. This is one that
-
has true sorrow. They'll truly have sorrow. They if they sin,
-
their truly sorry, heartfelt God, heartfelt sorrow for the sin
-
they have committed.
-
Amen.
-
You got folks that only say this sorry because they
-
got caught. This ain't him and they know that only
-
God removes sorrow for sin, and only God can forgive
-
and erase it. And only God can give comfort to
-
those who suffer for His sake. They come to understand
-
that those that mourn blessed are the.
-
Meek, not the weak, but the meek.
-
They are the general that show humility and trust in God,
-
and they don't think too hardly of themselves.
-
They the meek in God, ay Man, the meat there
-
is in the meet.
-
There is the balance between physical and the spiritual.
-
Promises of the Kingdom of God.
-
Not only do they inherit the earth, but the blessedness
-
of Heaven. So here the kingdom that Jesus teaches is
-
not only yet to come.
-
They understands he teaches about the kingdom that's yet to come.
-
But not only do they understand that teaching, but it
-
is that they understand that the Kingdom of God is
-
in them now, not only yet to come, but in
-
them now. Blessed are they wish to hunger? They ain't
-
talking about after no steak and no baked potato.
-
This is those that have also.
-
A deep, intense desire for personal.
-
Justice and righteousness. See, I'll be.
-
Watching TV and I know it ain't nothing but the show,
-
but I'll be clocking out when they ain't doing right
-
by the other person on the show. My wife has
-
to remind me it's just a TV show. It's it's
-
a TV show. But see that's that's a compassion that, uh,
-
that a child of God has.
-
In his heart.
-
You know, like even though it's a show and it
-
ain't really real, it's still you know, it sends a
-
message to you that that.
-
That is wrong with that. I'm I'm appalled to that.
-
But it's just a show.
-
So this person here is intense, has an intense desire
-
for personal justice and righteousness. And this gives proof to
-
the spiritual rebirth of this person who completely does God's
-
will with complete obedience. Oh it hurt right there, with.
-
Complete obedience to God, no matter what nobody else say.
-
And I'm gonna tell you something, and back were back
-
at it again. The only way to have complete obedience
-
to God is to know what God says to be
-
obedient to which means you have to know the word.
-
You have to pick this thing up seven days a week.
-
Are somewhere in the vicinity of more than one on Sunday, heymen,
-
and this one their soul shall be completely satisfied, ay man,
-
completely satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, the merciful, the merciful,
-
those who have been born again by the mercy of God.
-
And because the divine love of God has been extended
-
to them, they have the work of the Holy Spirit
-
in them. And they and that they produce a mercy.
-
Y'all gotta watch this whole thing about this mercy. They
-
produce a mercy they must.
-
E etin to others.
-
They have a mercy produced in them by the Holy
-
Spirit that they must extend to other folks. Heymen, the
-
same mercy that God has extended to them. Mercy is
-
and it implies generosity. This with mercy implies generosity. It
-
also implies forgiveness and compassion and a desire to remove
-
the wrong as well as the suffering of people. But
-
this promise does not guarantee mercy from other people.
-
That's the part of the ones you get. I showed
-
him mercy, spost show me mercy. Ain't no guarantee.
-
You got to show the mercy whether they show it
-
or not. You called to show and to share the
-
mercy and have the mercy.
-
And even if they.
-
Don't show it to you, you gotta continue showing the
-
mercy to them, because this is the merciful.
-
Blessed outdated, Blessed are the pure in heart. These are
-
truly saved people.
-
Those who are truly saved shall see God. They are
-
the pure in heart. Their lives have been transformed by
-
the grace of God. They are not sinless, but their
-
position before them. They're not sinless now, heymen, and not
-
sin less but their position before. They actively worked for peace,
-
to cause reconciliation, to end bitterness and strife, who solving problems,
-
to maintaining peace at all times, reflecting nothing but the
-
character of God.
-
Amen, Blessing our They.
-
Which are persecuted, but only for righteousness. Man, you can
-
get persecuted two ways, for what you done, did wrong,
-
and for the righteousness of God.
-
But this one was talking about.
-
Those being persecuted for the righteousness of God. Amen, And
-
those that are persecuted for the righteousness of God's sake,
-
for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. When you live
-
for God, persecution should not surprise you.
-
Let me say that again, When you live for.
-
God, persecution should not surprise you.
-
And the only reason why most folks are that live for.
-
God are surprised by persecution because they don't realize that
-
they are. They don't realize that they believe that they
-
shouldn't be persecuted because they do live for God.
-
That's what I'm trying to say, that I fumbled over
-
all of it.
-
So when I live for God, I shouldn't be persecuted.
-
But no, if you live for God, you shouldn't be surprised.
-
You're gonna be persecuted because God told you, and if
-
you ain't read it, then that's your problem. That's why
-
it's a surprise for you. Also that you didn't know
-
it was gonna happen. And if you had been in
-
the word of God, you would have known it was
-
gonna happen. So when you live for God, persecution should
-
not surprise you, because Jesus clearly teaches that such a
-
life causes his people to be in direct contrast to
-
the world in which in which we live. So the
-
world's gonna persecute us, and not long the world befolk
-
sitting right beside you in the House of God.
-
Going persecute you.
-
So when persecution comes, don't be surprised, because even though
-
persecution comes, God will make up for the suffering when
-
we stay the loyal to Him. So when you get persecuted,
-
don't go to the left. Keep God's word in your persecution, hey, man,
-
in your persecution, continue to hold on the God, continue
-
to stay loyal to God, because God already have a
-
way out for your persecution. And when you get out
-
of it, there's a blessing.
-
Waiting on you.
-
As a matter of fact, there's one inside.
-
The persecution bless their ye. I got it back up again.
-
Now I got to get back to the persecution. We
-
can't handle persecution. We can't handle slamder.
-
Some of us are soul passionate that we can't even handle.
-
Somebody not liking us can't handle it. Why don't like me?
-
I ain't never did nothing to them?
-
You need to straighten your back up, get your mind
-
right with God. You just said you ain't never did
-
nothing to him? What you upset about? The enemy got
-
you on the run and won't let you let you
-
turn around to see that you shouldn't be running.
-
You said, he ain't never did nothing to him? Wound
-
like me? What your crying for?
-
You know you ain't never did nothing to him? Then
-
you know they ain't got no right to persecute you.
-
So now they persecuting you for righteousness sake? You ain't
-
never did nothing to them. And some people just gonna
-
gonna gona not like you because you won't. You won't
-
help them in the way they want to be helped.
-
You ain't give them the five dollars because they because
-
you already realize they ain't trying to do nothing use you.
-
You look like an ATM machine for them.
-
After a while, you realize they keep drawing the money
-
after the machine. You realize something. Ain't nobody putting money
-
back in the machine. ATM machines have to be restored.
-
After a while. You ain't gonna keep going to.
-
An ATM machine down there in Regions Bank, and don't
-
nobody come in there and replenish it.
-
You're gonna come up her one day and it's gonna
-
say out of order, temporary at order.
-
Don't allow Oh God is saying is, don't allow persecution.
-
To dim your loyalty to Him.
-
And that's what people are doing today. Like I'm saying
-
this morning. People think people treating the churches like uh,
-
I can't never remember the name of the street Missouri.
-
They treating.
-
They treat the House of God like Missouri Street. Missouri
-
Street got all kind of restaurants on. So if they
-
get mad at McDonald's, they go to bird King so
-
they can have it their way. If they get mad
-
at harvest time, they gonna go the greatest thing whoever
-
mark somewhere. If they get mad that, they're gonna go
-
to another Baptist so and so see where. If the
-
fries are cold at McDonald's, they gonna go to bird
-
King and see if they're hot. And in doing all that,
-
there's no loyalty to God because you jumping from church
-
to church because it the way you like it, because
-
they appreciate what you want to hear, because they're attacking
-
the way you live, the wrong way in the sight
-
of God. So now you gotta go to another restaurant
-
and get what you want that set its sides your flesh.
-
The milkshake is too sweeted Burger King, so you go
-
to Wendy's appreciating that and talking about me living with
-
this woman. I ain't married to you, man, It ain't
-
ain't all that, ain't necessary. I'm going somewhere else, going
-
on somewhere else, still going to hell.
-
Wherever you go. If you don't, if they don't take.
-
Heed to it, don't matter where you jump, go on
-
over there and get your flesh.
-
Fieled. I thought we supposed to be denying.
-
The flesh can't handle suffering. Suffering is a guarantee when
-
you follow Christ, I said, a guarantee.
-
Can't handle it. It wouldn't let my.
-
Daughter in the choir, s she in the choir. Ain't
-
ever let her sing her song. I'm go'a go to
-
the church. That'll let her sing.
-
Go on to the church. May't let her sing. They
-
let her sing. Let all the sisters sing. They let
-
the sisters direct.
-
Now everything go on over there, m hm, go on
-
over there. Sisters coming there. Sisters ain't gonna go nowhere
-
until they get comfortable. That's why sisters are starting ministries,
-
so they can go where they're comfortable. The House of
-
God is diminishing on a daily basis because of suffering.
-
They don't want to fluffing.
-
They want they flesh to be comfortable in the house
-
of God.
-
Your fleshing. If your flesh is comfortable in the house
-
of God, you and you ain't in the house of God.
-
Because your flesh shouldn't be comfortable in the house of God.
-
Because the flesh is evident with God. It's an enemity
-
of God's So ain't the way your flesh should be
-
comfortable in God's house? If it is, it ain't God's house.
-
They ain't doing nothing to tell you about your flesh.
-
They patting your they telling you so they could pet
-
your poets.
-
They don't care that about you.
-
They want your money, so they don't want you to
-
suffer in there.
-
I told you a while back, Assist.
-
They opened up a ministry, and he had a thousand
-
members on the first day that he opened the doors
-
of the House of the Devil. The first day he
-
opened the house, his first opening, he had a thousand
-
people come up in there, a thousand people like him.
-
No sises, abominations. We're in there, so I know it
-
in God's house a house.
-
Full of abomination. Because they don't want to go nowhere.
-
Somebody tell them about their acts. They don't want to
-
go nowherehere they flesh is not going to be condemned.
-
And there's no way you can set up in God's
-
house to not feel some kind of a pressure of
-
the word of God against what you're doing. If you
-
ain't convicted, it's something wrong with you.
-
Even the words I vary that I preach on Sunday.
-
At some point, I'm convicted.
-
Blessed with men shall reveal you and persecute you, and
-
say all manner of evil against you.
-
Here's the key. Falsely for my sake, falsely for my sake.
-
Again, Jesus warns them of persecution and folks talking about them,
-
blaspheming them, slandering them.
-
But this is a twofold persecution.
-
It's physical, and it is a personal attack of slander,
-
where people will mock you and lie on you.
-
Like they lied on me when all came here.
-
They gonna do it just as they did him. They
-
lied on me to sister Lane. That's why Sister Lane
-
didn't like me when she first met me.
-
But it came around with it. I gotta use your
-
sister Lane. Be quiet, backer. That's what happens when folks
-
lie on you. Other folks begin to believe the line.
-
They aren't like you, hey man, But blessed are they
-
when folks do that to you, Because he says, rejoice,
-
Jesus gives us a description of the way to handle persecution.
-
He gives us a way, he says, be happy in it,
-
be very glad, because grat is our reward in heaven.
-
Great is our reward in heaven. In other words, we
-
are to focus our attention on the eternal destiny of
-
all things and not on the persecution of what people
-
try to put upon us are the persecution and sorrow
-
that comes against us. Our focus is always still to
-
stay on the Lord. That's why he said bless it.
-
So you can't stay focused. If you literally attack you
-
and you take on the attack. You have to let
-
yourself take on the attack. It's up to you, even
-
though they persecute you. It's up to you to accept
-
the attack, how to be blessed of it?
-
Like God said, be happy?
-
And if you stay happy during the persecution, you can
-
stay focused on him. Depressed people ain't a focus on God,
-
then I focused.
-
When you get out of focus.
-
Then you can't have stand connected to you and you
-
can't avoid it. But if you stay blessed is he
-
in the Lord, you can stay.
-
Focused on him. Hey man, let me conclude, So I ask.
-
You if God is as real as he claims, if
-
the Bible is true?
-
Y'all getting the ifs in this? Huh? Let me say
-
it again.
-
So I ask you if God is as real as
-
he claims to thee. If the Bible is true, if
-
heaven is to be gained, then no temporary earthly trouble
-
or persecution can deprive the children of God of the joy,
-
of the eternal glory that lies ahead.
-
If that's true, Amen, I'm done.
-
And so pss so now you know, so, now you know. Well,
-
let us all stand
