Hey man, anybody come here to hear something from the
-
Lord today?
-
You ain't gon bandoned? Well?
-
God is good? Amen? Amen, we get glory to God
-
this morning. A man.
-
Who I'd like to believe is the head of our lives.
-
I know he's my savior. What about you? I can
-
claim him freely and I can claim him honestly.
-
Mm.
-
Don't get quiet on me. I should have started praising
-
him right there. I mean, yards be able to claim
-
the same way. Ain't no other way to claim it.
-
He ain't gonna take nothing else. Freely and honestly, I
-
can claim the Lord. I give him my praise because
-
I know he accepts it a man, and I give
-
him glory because it's due under him.
-
Anybody can praise him. Are you with me? But you
-
got to be one of his to worship.
-
Him the Bible to let the rocks cry out. I'm
-
not gonna let no rock, no birds, no bugs, no
-
nothing beat me giving God praise. Hey man, somebody, so
-
we give God the glory this morning, and the honor
-
is due unto God. Thanking God for yet another day,
-
a dated.
-
He has made a dated.
-
We know nothing of All we can do is wake
-
up in the morning, and let God have his way,
-
cause he gonna have it anyway. You can do what
-
you wanna do, but God gonna have his way. See,
-
you can go to the left, and God still gonna
-
have his way because his word is gonna dictate what's
-
gonna happen.
-
To you when you go to the left.
-
And you can go to the right, and his word
-
is still gonna dictate to you what's gonna happen to
-
you when you go to the right, because He already.
-
Put it in motion.
-
See see you, you're fighting against principalities and spirits. You're
-
not fighting against flesh and blood. It's a spiritual war
-
in this a spiritual world. And the sooner that the
-
people of God, I know, the world ain't got it,
-
But the sooner the people of God get this, we
-
can help the world out a whole lot better. But
-
here we can get it. There's no way they can
-
receive it. I get it themselves, because the Bible declares
-
that we don't want supposed to know the things of God.
-
Hey manh y'all ain't ready yet, and we keep on moving.
-
Let me God pray.
-
Then, Father, we want to thank you, Lord, thank you
-
for another day.
-
God. Thank you God for waking up this morning. We
-
know it was you.
-
God.
-
Somebody may have shook us, the alarm clock may have
-
went off, but if you didn't wake us up, God,
-
none of that would have helped, no way. So Lord,
-
we want to thank you God that it was you
-
that allow our eyes to open up on this side
-
and not the other side. Some of us might not
-
have been ready yet God, but God, I pray we're
-
getting ready for when you come. We'll be ready and
-
not getting ready when you come. We thank your Lord
-
for the safe travel and to come to your house
-
with a right mind. Thank you God for a sober
-
mind this morning.
-
God in the.
-
Name of Jesus, Thank you for being so good and
-
loving us more than we could understand. Thank You for
-
another day that we know nothing of. But we know
-
you in control.
-
God.
-
It don't matter what the government is doing. God, You
-
in control. They can only do what you allow them
-
to do God, and no more. But I know God,
-
that will come a time when they don't come right.
-
You're gonna shut it all down. So Lord, just have
-
your way and let your will be done, and continue
-
to cover your people God and protect them. I pray God,
-
even those listening today over the airways, that a word
-
will be spoken to them that are listening that are
-
not saved, that the word will put their heart to
-
come and running to You God for this plan of salvation.
-
I pray God, that those have turned their backs on
-
You and turn away from You by deceit, being vamboozled
-
and hood went by having itchy years listening to false
-
prophets and teachings, that they'll come back to the truth God,
-
in the name of Jesus.
-
And those that are.
-
Still holding on God, will continue to hold on by
-
the power of your right hand.
-
In the precious name of Jesus.
-
We in some trying times God, we need you Holy Spirit.
-
We need your strength God. Today.
-
God, in these lasting evil times, we need Your Lord
-
like never before, more today than yesterday. In the name
-
of Jesus, Old God, having mercy, Lord, have mercy.
-
Have mercy. God.
-
We thank you for your long suffering with us, for
-
your patience with us. Lord, and we know that your
-
patient because you're not lacking. Some believe that you're lacking
-
because they continue to get away with the mischief.
-
But you're not lacking. You're just long suffering, giving us
-
opportunity to turn from our wicked ways.
-
But we know you'll come a time where you are
-
gonna get tired of us and tired of our wicked
-
ways and give us over to them. But have mercy
-
God in the name of Jesus, because I know God
-
is not your will that anyone should perish. God, let
-
your word go forth this morning and do exactly what
-
you called it to do today.
-
In Jesus Holy name, we pray, Thank God, and the church.
-
Say Amen, Amen and Amen, Thank you Jesus, Thank your Lord.
-
We bless your name today. God.
-
Hallelujah. We give you glory. We give you glory. Thank
-
you Lord, We give you glory. Lord, Thank you Jesus.
-
We're gonna go into the Book of Galatians and chapter one.
-
I wanna talk about an individual here that very inspirational.
-
Should be very inspirational as towards all.
-
Amen. Right, Ah, I know Jesus is, but.
-
This is one of his uh patriots, one of his disciples.
-
It's very inspirational to me because of his tenacity and
-
his drive and his faith in believing in what it
-
is he's in.
-
Amen.
-
So we're gonna we're gonna talk about Paul who used
-
to be solved.
-
And Paul always measured up.
-
To what he believed in. But today I wanna ask
-
you do you measure up? I want to ask you today,
-
do you measure up?
-
Hours?
-
A lot of us run around talking about we Christians,
-
But do you measure up? Everybody saved? But do you
-
measure up? Have you been saved? You always know the question,
-
the answer that I get most of the time I've
-
been baptized. I didn't ask you was you a dry
-
devil coming up or wet demon? I said, have you
-
been baptized in the blood of Jesus? And I want
-
you to know that the water didn't save you. You
-
only got baptized because you was in direct line with
-
the word of God. And that's the only reason you
-
should get baptized.
-
You ain't saved. Stay out of the water.
-
Because you're doing yourself an injustice because the water purpose
-
is not gonna change because you're feeling emotional about what
-
you want to do.
-
You see, baptism isn't Outwit's showing of.
-
It in what happening. And if you ain't save and
-
you go in the water, whatever demons in, you're gonna
-
come out more or that before they did, before you
-
hit the water.
-
Are you listening to me?
-
So today we're gonna talk about Paul, and I want
-
you to get these things in you.
-
I wish everybody was here during Sunday School.
-
Because David praised some prayers that should be praised by
-
each and every one of us on a daily basis,
-
because on a daily basis, each and every one of
-
us are being tacked by the enemy. There's nobody in
-
here that's not being attacked by the enemy. Even if
-
you ain't saved, you still being attacked by the enemy
-
because he's trying to keep you from being saved. He's
-
trying to keep you from Jesus. So that's an attack
-
all by itself.
-
But once you get saved. You know, some folk think that.
-
They don't need to do nothing else because they done
-
came to the altar and lifted up their hands and
-
confessed that they have given their life to God. But
-
yet when they leave here, they still living the way
-
they want to live. So you ain't did nothing but
-
a performance.
-
Amen.
-
God knows a performance.
-
Different from something that's real, Amen, just like he knows
-
if you repent because you.
-
Just saying I'm sorry, I got.
-
Caught whether than I have a godless sorrow as he
-
was producing in Peter, as we talked about last Sunday. See,
-
Jesus was trying to produce from Peter true repentance, just
-
like God is trying to produce out of us. They
-
claim to be saved and be a child of His,
-
to measure up to what we say we.
-
Are to God.
-
Y'all, don't hear what I'm saying. All these folks out
-
here doing so many things. I'm disturbed about him. I'm
-
disturbed about the folks standing behind his poor.
-
Pit more so. But there's a greater disturbance than me
-
about those that sit out there.
-
In the pews, because you allow this foolishness to go
-
on in God's house, Yes, Lord, you do. That's the
-
great accountability. You should not let somebody.
-
Preach, false teaching to you, false.
-
Words, telling you all kind of stuff, confusing your mind
-
about who God really is and what He really means
-
to you. And the only way that happens is because
-
you don't measure up. When you measure up, you know
-
the foolishness when you hear it. Hey, man, come on
-
in here now, folks, taking the word of God more today, I've.
-
Been watching it.
-
I'm looking at these preachers on the internet, and I'm
-
listening to the ministry that they're preaching to thousands in
-
their congregation.
-
Ain't that many people here?
-
Because I'm not gonna preach happy, happy, happy soul happy
-
happy emotions to you. I'm gonna tell you the truth,
-
right because the truth is the only thing that's gonna
-
make you free.
-
Why be happy and emotionally happy and go to hell?
-
Because that's what's happening in these megachurches nowadays. All they
-
telling you is how to get some money, and what
-
the only thing they're doing is telling you how to
-
keep them rich. They live, They got thousands of members
-
living in five ten twenty million dollar homes. Folk suffering
-
in their congregation, and they multi millionaires. If you ask me,
-
should nobody in the congregation be suffering?
-
If they multi.
-
Millionaires, they multi millionaires. Even if they had forty thousand members,
-
they can give each one of them ten thousand dollars.
-
If they can bless every one of them with ten
-
thousand dollars, that's only what four million, a four hundred thousand,
-
and they.
-
Got about they got about two or three hundred million.
-
They don't even that's a write off if they pay taxes.
-
All right, good, focus here, preacher. Through all of that,
-
I'm still saying, did you messure upright? Because they don't.
-
Paul here says.
-
In verse six of chapter one of Galatians, he said,
-
I marveled that ye are so soon removed from him
-
that called you into the grace of Christ until another gospel.
-
I'm marveled kind of ware of that. When I told
-
you the Truth will make you free. You believing that
-
the preacher said, the truth will set you free. I
-
marveled at that that you have gone into it. Believe
-
in another gospel soon, which is he says in verse seven,
-
which is not another?
-
There is no other doctor.
-
But there be some that trouble you and would pervert
-
the Gospel of Christ. But though we are an angel,
-
but though we are an angel from heaven, preach any
-
other gospel unto you than that which we have preached
-
unto you.
-
Let him be a.
-
Cursed, he said, I don't care if the angels from
-
heaven come down and start preaching to you some gospel
-
this outside of this, he said, let him be cursed.
-
I don't care who preaches. I don't care who they
-
say to. Y're the archbishop, the bishop.
-
The pope.
-
I don't care who they call theyself. If they preach
-
any other gospel than this, let him.
-
Be a cursed. He said.
-
Now, as we said before, so I say now again.
-
I just said it before. I'm gonna say it again.
-
If any man preach any other gospeling to you then
-
that ye have received, let him be a curse. I'm
-
gonna say it twice. Make it plain, he said. I
-
realized that God's number two is a number for witness.
-
So let me say this twice. Then he goes on
-
to say, for do I now pursue men? Do I
-
now persuade men a God? Who am I trying to
-
persuade with this gospel?
-
Huh?
-
Who am I trying to entertain? For I do I
-
now persuade men of God? I do I seek to
-
please men? For if I get pleased men, I should
-
not be the servant of Christ.
-
So all you stand behind that pool, be trying to
-
please everybody that's setting out there. You ain't pleasing God. Period.
-
Thank you, Sister Lisa. Turn me down some.
-
The one all the way to your left. He goes
-
on to say, but I.
-
In verse eleven, but I certify you, brother. But I
-
certify you, brother, listen to him, he said, I'm trying
-
to make it known to y'all. Y'all listening to him?
-
Are y'all listening to me? Paul said that, are y'all
-
listening to me? I'm trying to make it known to y'all.
-
I'm trying to make this known to you, brethren, that
-
the gospel which was preached of me is not after men.
-
See the gospel that was preached to me and not
-
after men. So the gospel that I'm giving you didn't
-
come from some man telling it to me. Hey man, somebody.
-
So the gospel that Pastor Timkins preached to you didn't
-
no man give it to me. I'm giving you what
-
was given to me. But what was given to me
-
was given by some man.
-
What was given to me was given.
-
By God to give the you, So Paul said. For
-
I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it,
-
but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
-
I couldn't care Paul the same, for we have heard of.
-
My conversion in time past. He said, you knew about
-
my past. You know how my former conduct used to
-
be before this gospel.
-
You know how I was before I got saved.
-
You heard about it, for you have heard of my
-
conversion in time past in the Jewish religion.
-
See, I knew the laws of the jew. I was
-
a scholar of the laws of the Jew. Y'all know
-
about my past, how that beyond measure.
-
I persecuted the Church of God and tried to destroy it.
-
You know my past. That's what I used to do.
-
Y'all may be seated in the House of the Lord.
-
Stay with me. Stay with me.
-
Y'all know about my past. That's what I used to do, y'all.
-
Y'all know me.
-
Y'all heard my conversation. My conversation is my conduct of
-
how it used to be. I said how I used
-
to be, But now I measured up to what I was,
-
But now I have a different measure. Paul goes on
-
to say, and he said, and profited in the Jews
-
religion about above many. In other words, I was so
-
involved in what I was doing that I became above
-
all the.
-
Rest of my fellow courts. That's why he said it.
-
In profit profited in the Jews religion above many my equals.
-
So he done profited above many.
-
He had progressed above those in Judaism, and he became he.
-
In the Judaism that he was in, he profited above
-
those that were in it with him, above.
-
My counterparts of partners.
-
I was greater in this mess than they were, because
-
he said, above many my equals in my own nation,
-
being more exceedingly zealous.
-
See, I had a drive.
-
They didn't have to do what I was doing, of
-
the trends of the traditions of my fathers. But where
-
did please God, somebody say, when the change is coming?
-
Who separated me from my mother's wound, and called me,
-
by his grace, his Numerican favor, to reveal his son
-
in me, that I might preach.
-
Him above among the heathen.
-
See I was called to preach to the heathen. I
-
told you Paul was called to priest to a heathen
-
a long time ago. But yet Peter was called to
-
preach to the Jews. And that's why Paul rebuked Peter,
-
because he was acting like a heathen, trying to convert
-
them into being a Jew. And that's why Paul said,
-
why do you, Peter act like a heathen trying to
-
convert them to be Jews, when you yourself acting like a heathen,
-
You trying to convert them to be Jews, but you.
-
Acting like a heathen, had to rebuke him. Bring him around.
-
You know how we call ourselves Christians, and we out
-
there acting like the heathen and.
-
Trying to preach a word to them, doing the same
-
thing they doing.
-
M H. So he said him sixteen to He said
-
that he came to reveal his son and me, that
-
I might preach him among the heathen. Immediately I confered,
-
not with flesh and blood. Neither went I up to
-
Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me. So he
-
didn't go amongst the apostles. He adn't go amongst the disciples.
-
But I went into Aruba and returned again into the Micas.
-
Then after three years I went up in Jerusalem to
-
see Peter and abode with.
-
Him fifteen days. Fifteen days.
-
When he went.
-
After he was amongst God and was taught by God.
-
He was ready.
-
But other of the the other of the apostles saw I,
-
none save James, except James brother, the Lord's brother. Now
-
the things which I write unto you behold before God.
-
I lie not.
-
I'm telling you the truth.
-
Afterwards, I came into the regions of Syria and Sister
-
and was unknown by faith. They knew his name, or
-
they knew his name.
-
Until the churches of Judah, which were in Christ. Look
-
what happens. But they had heard only that.
-
He which pushed, he which persecuted us.
-
In time passed, in time passed.
-
We've heard about this brother who pursed yout to the
-
church in time passed.
-
But now this brother is preaching. He preaches the faith
-
which once he destroyed.
-
What he used to clock out on us, dic trying
-
to drive us into.
-
Prisons and take us to God. Godfer And now you're
-
preaching what you didn't like before.
-
They were afraid of Paul. But Paul had a speaker
-
to help him to understand. I'm measuring up to God now,
-
and they glorifact God in him. Can the church say man?
-
Can they say man again? Let's look at this Paul.
-
He was Saul.
-
He assaulted the Church of Jerusalem because it presented a
-
threat to him.
-
Heymen, the church is a to the devil. The church.
-
I ain't talking about this building. This building is a
-
temple and a synagogue. I know y'all keep talking about
-
I'm going to church. I don't know how you're gonna
-
get there. When you are the church. When he talking
-
about the church, he talking about.
-
You and me. We the church. This is a building.
-
So Paul, he used to be saw.
-
God will change your name to some righteous when you
-
run around with the devil's name, just like he did the.
-
Three Hebrew Boys.
-
But the three Hebrew.
-
Boys already had a name after God. But the King
-
changed their names that they would worship the devil. See
-
a name gonna worship something? Amen, he changed their name.
-
You know, y'all call him Shatrack, me Shack and Bendigo.
-
That's what the names that worship the devil that the
-
king needs to give them. But God called him as
-
a Michelle and the and I So Paul who was
-
saw and when he was sold, see when he was solved.
-
When he had the name Saul, he assaulted the church.
-
But when his name became Paul, he lifted up the church. Amen, somebody,
-
but see the church. It presented a threat to him,
-
and it presented a threat to all that Paul had.
-
Most that Paul held most did to himself. Ay man,
-
that's the same thing that happens to the devil. You
-
present a threat to what dear to the devil, and
-
that's why he comes after you.
-
And the worst offense was.
-
The proclamation of one who had suffered, which is Jesus,
-
a death cursed by the Jews law as Lord and Messiah.
-
See the Jews.
-
See the Jews, a lot of Jews having come up
-
and measured up yet because they like to believe that
-
Jesus Christ has never come, only because they don't like
-
the fact that the world knows it was the Jews
-
that crucified him.
-
They don't like that. They don't like that. You want
-
to fight on your hand.
-
Telling Jessus is one that crucified Jesus. You have a
-
fight on your hand. That's why they don't want to
-
believe that he ain't come yet and that he's still coming. Oh,
-
he's still coming. But it's the second one. They don't
-
believe he's come before. Paul, just give me a little background.
-
He was born in tars Tarsus, that's the city of Sicily.
-
He was a citizen of Tarsant Watch why Paul, Watch
-
how he he came about? That city was called no
-
mean city. You see that in Acts twenty one and
-
thirty nine. He was also born a Roman citizen Amen
-
Acts twenty two, twenty five to twenty nine. But that
-
worked out for Paul's favor because he.
-
Was an honor roll student.
-
In his zeal, Notice, he said that I was zealous
-
more than any I mean, he had this thing about him.
-
He just wanted to know it.
-
That's the reason why he came.
-
So it didn't change because that's what God put in him.
-
So when he began to turn it over to measure
-
up to what God really called him for. That's why
-
he was so zealous in the Word of God and
-
wrote and wrote more of the New Testament than any
-
other because of the zeal that he had.
-
Amen.
-
So it worked out for his favor because he was
-
on the honor.
-
He was more zealous than any other the Jews in
-
the Jewish laws and in the Jewish traditions. And he
-
was taught by the great Gamriello or Gamella something g
-
A M A L I E l. Because he was
-
the most highly person in the Jewish law who illustrated
-
the law and taught the law.
-
He was a rabbi, a teacher of his days.
-
You can see that in Act five and thirty four.
-
And he was also a pharisee, a man. So Paul
-
learned from the best about the laws of the Jews,
-
and that's why he was so zealous in going out
-
and keeping those laws. But when he met Jesus, all
-
these things had to change, Paul says in verse fifteen.
-
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my
-
mother's wound and called me by his grace, Paul saying
-
that my conversion to being a Christian was due to
-
God and not man. You see, there are some people
-
out here who call themselves Christians, and they call theirself
-
preachers and apostles, and they and they put titles on
-
people they ain't ready. Those things are from the devil
-
and they're not from God. Are you hearing me and
-
that message, folks up?
-
I know it for a fact.
-
I got a kin folk who were messed up by
-
a person that wasn't even supposed to be a pastor
-
in the first place, trying to ordain him the something that.
-
He wasn't ready for.
-
And right now today the demons is running him ragged
-
and we're trying to get to him. But when your
-
conversion is of God and not of man. God will
-
help you to measure up to who he called you
-
to be, because he's the one that he owed you
-
to be it and he's the only one that can
-
help you the message up to be what he called
-
you to be. Man can't do that for you. Is
-
that your measure that man tell you who you are
-
in God? Or did God tell you who he was
-
in you and you and him? Did somebody tell you
-
you look like a preacher? You look like you said, well,
-
the devil can look like that. The Bible confers that Bible.
-
Say he comes as an angel of life.
-
That don't mean he is an angel of life. It's
-
because they say you are Christian just because you do
-
good things and folks know you for.
-
Being kind to them, don't mean you saved. See all
-
kind folks not saved. Can you can be? I should
-
tell you used to tell kids all the time, even
-
a monkey can go to school and behave it self.
-
What am I saying?
-
If you get bad grades in school and bad conduct,
-
that's a serious problem, because even a monkey can go
-
and behave itself. Every child that was raised, that's raised,
-
that's raised, that's raised, can.
-
Go to school and behave.
-
You might not get the lesson, but every child should
-
get an E in condom.
-
You might not get a C plus, may get a
-
D plus. You might get a B or A in.
-
Your curriculum, but you should have an E in conduct.
-
Hey man, somebody you can measure up to that as
-
long as you've been raised, long as you've been raised.
-
The kids today raising their own parents, they ain't raising no,
-
they keep the parents ain't raising them. And that's the
-
reason why they don't measure up in society like they should.
-
Is a good citizen. But do you measure up? Is
-
that your measure? Or did somebody tell you who you
-
are and you look like somebody that they believe you
-
look like, or do you look like who you're supposed
-
to look like the God? See, Paul made it quite
-
plain that his measure came from God.
-
He said in sixteen to reveal his son.
-
He said, to reveal his son, after he separated him
-
from his mother's womb and called him by his grace.
-
He revealed to him.
-
Then in him, that his son is in me, that
-
I might preach him among the heathen. Immediately after that
-
was told to me, I conferred.
-
Not with flesh and blood.
-
So he said he to reveal his son in me.
-
So I had I asked you do they say do
-
they see this in you? Do they see this in you?
-
What is this? Past or?
-
Do they see the Son of God in you? Because
-
when they see the Son of God in you, then
-
you absolutely measure up because that's what God wants to
-
see himself.
-
He wants to see his son in you.
-
He said, you are like a filthy rab You said,
-
I die that he may live. So if he lives,
-
and then he must see his son in you. If
-
you live, because that's the only thing that lives in you.
-
You say, he live in me. And if he live
-
in you, and God see that, then he know you
-
measure up? Hey man, So do they see this in you?
-
They the world? Do they see this Son of God
-
in you? I told you my story.
-
One time I was in this warehouse working.
-
I was riding on the fork living and I stopped
-
because I was waiting to pick up something and put
-
something up in the God and walk just just walked
-
up to me out of the blue and say, are
-
you trying to let your life shine? He saw the
-
Son of God in me. I'm not bragging. I'm telling
-
you what my testimony. That's what he saw. Do they
-
see the.
-
Divine disclosure.
-
To man of the person Christ in the essence of
-
the Gospel?
-
Can people see Jesus in you?
-
Because if they don't, you already know what your measure is.
-
Hey man, he.
-
Said, neither went I up to Jerusalem. He said, I
-
didn't go up to Jerusalem to then, which were apostles
-
before me. See they were apostles before he was hav
-
an apostle. He said, I didn't go up there to
-
Jerusalem to the apostles before me, but I went into
-
Arabia and returned again unto Tamacus. Paul lets us know
-
he didn't go to Jerusalem where the apostles were, where
-
men were that could possibly teach him this gospel, but
-
went to Arabia for three years where God himself taught
-
Paul not man. See, your teaching got to come from God.
-
You can come to Sun's school be taught about a teacher.
-
You can come to Bible study and be taught.
-
By the teacher.
-
But that teaching that you're getting has to come from God.
-
And the only way you don't know if the teaching
-
is from God is that you yourself are at home
-
with your word of God, hearing from God, who will
-
teach you. Ay Man, Now I'm not saying because that
-
he said. I'm not saying because the preaching that you
-
get from the Man of God is from God.
-
This Paul's case. No, Paul's case.
-
Was he was taught directly from God, not through some man.
-
For three years. For three years, Paul was taught directly
-
from God. I'm gonna tell you something. I was taught
-
directly from God for three years. Three years. I sat
-
in a place just like Paul did. He was on
-
an island.
-
You can say I was on an island because you
-
couldn't leave it.
-
You couldn't leave where you wanted to. You understand what
-
I was saying.
-
But for three years he took me out of where
-
I was before man and took me. That allowed me
-
to go to a place where I was taught by God.
-
For three years, every day, every morning, every night, I
-
was in my word before God, learning from God. Every
-
single day. Didn't the day go by? Are you listening
-
to me? Thedn the day go bye? I didn't pick
-
up God and begin to learn of him. Not a day,
-
not a day and sometime. It was three four times
-
a day, and before I shut my eyes, I was
-
before God when I woke up in the morning.
-
Before I had to go to where I was called
-
to go, I was before God for three years. I
-
know I measure up. That's why I tell myself all
-
the time.
-
If I cut up sideways, I tell myself, you are
-
without excuse you. That's why I hear in my spirit
-
every time, every time I decide to do something, I
-
say something I don't need to be saying.
-
God said you would out excuse you. Know you know better.
-
I taught you myself, and it shakes me. Y'all want
-
to know about Scared straight, Yeah, because I know what
-
he can do. I mean I really know what he
-
can do. I ain't telling you what somebody told me.
-
I know what he can do.
-
Now.
-
I hear these stories about people talking about this, but
-
I know those are lies because the Bible don't confer
-
it like they don't. If it ain't in here, it
-
ain't real and you can take it and twist it.
-
That's in here. But if it ain't like it's supposed
-
to be in here, no, no, no, people talking about
-
I went to hell and uh hell ain't. Ain't no
-
visitation place. And I came back. You ain't gonna go
-
to hell?
-
And are you going to Hell and come back, Sirs James?
-
Not according to this word. Now, God gave me a
-
glimpse of Hell. I didn't go to Hell, but he
-
gave me a glimpse of hell. That was my testimony.
-
You hear me, brother, married, Hell ain't no vacation spot.
-
Even the devil ain't in hell. Why are people run
-
around thinking that he down there waiting to tor him
-
in folk?
-
No, my Bible tell me when he visits, when he
-
get down there, he.
-
Gonna be torn minute. What time he got to be
-
messing with you? When he's trying to get it off him?
-
It ain't no visitation place. The devil don't hang out
-
in Hell. He going there, though, And anybody else that
-
want to go with him.
-
They welcome. God welcomes them in the hell of heaven.
-
It's up to you. You don't if you don't measure up,
-
if you don't see the sun, you going. I got
-
ten things I want to I want to throw at
-
you ten things and I'm done. But before I throw
-
him at you, I want you to do this. I
-
want you to take that mirror. It's a spiritual mirror.
-
You can't see it with your natural eyes. You can't
-
see the mirror with your natural eyes. You got you
-
can only see it with.
-
Your spirit Are you with it?
-
You can only see in this mirror with your spiritual eyes,
-
not your natural eyes.
-
And there's ten things you need to look at.
-
Don't be you know some people are like you say
-
something like, well.
-
You know she needs to do such, and you know
-
you need to do such as.
-
You might be up for a predencess.
-
Some of y'all need to tell and so and so
-
on and so and then folks be looking on that. Yeah,
-
that's brother Marion, he need to do that too. Now
-
I want you to look at you in your mirror.
-
You ain't gonna see brother Mary in your mirror.
-
You're only gonna see you.
-
So yeah, So I asked you today that are ten
-
ways to.
-
Know that you measure up.
-
One is that you have a hunger to know God
-
and his truth on it, not just to know it,
-
but on an intimate level. And an intimate level means
-
what I just told you, This word of God will
-
always bother you if you're at home doing nothing. They
-
be calling out to you, read me, read.
-
Me, pick me up.
-
I want to talk to you. I want to talk
-
to you. And but yet the.
-
TV got more.
-
Of your time than this word.
-
I'm guilty of as sometimes well a lot of times.
-
But then again, I use the TV for that instrument.
-
God gave it to me for as well, and I
-
listened to the.
-
Word of God on it.
-
But number one is a home to know God and
-
his truth on an intimate level. Number two is an
-
increasing awareness of sin, not.
-
Sining, but your sining.
-
Are you with me?
-
See, I haven't increasing awareness of sin, not just if
-
I but getting ready to commit it. And that's why
-
you need to have an increasing awareness of sin, because
-
they'll keep you from getting in it, hey man. And
-
it also will show you others that our sinning. Why
-
not for you to judge them in a particular manner,
-
but for you.
-
To help them.
-
You know, one of the most famous scriptures quoted even
-
by Heathens when you correct them, the Bible says, judge
-
not least you be judged. You ain't supposed to judge me.
-
That's a lie.
-
That ain't what it says. That's what it's saying, But
-
that ain't what it means. I tell you all the time.
-
People know what it says, but they don't know what
-
it's saying. Heath and can tell you what it says,
-
but they don't know what it's saying. And you have
-
to know what it's saying. And the only way you
-
can know what it's saying is if you have that
-
intimate level of knowledge and hunger for God. And that's
-
why we run around quoting scriptures and running off of
-
stuff where the Bible.
-
Said, Jesus, this lady presented us to.
-
Me at the store. I was talking to a lady
-
that just opened up a business, and they they in
-
the ministry and I said, well, she said, well, what
-
do you I was telling about different things. She said,
-
what do you think about wine? I said, the Bible
-
said wine is a mockery and strong drink you shouldn't drink.
-
She said, well, Jesus turned water into wine. I said, yeah,
-
but it wasn't for a minute, baby.
-
It wasn't for a minute, baby. And I said, let
-
me help you with one more scripture.
-
The Romans said, presenting.
-
Your bodies, if you got a whole glass of wine
-
inside even your body, ain't why unto God.
-
She was done with that subject.
-
See, but when you have an intense.
-
Hunger for the intimate level of truth in God, that's
-
how you can speak to folks and help them. Number three,
-
you have to have a sincere repentance and the desire
-
to become more christ Like and to turn away from
-
your sining. See, I'm sorry, I got caught. Don't work
-
with God. And a lot of folks have been bamboozooed
-
and hood went and believe in just because they repented,
-
and they know there wasn't a God felt repentance.
-
They think they free of it.
-
You're not.
-
You didn't.
-
You didn't receive forgiveness from God because it wasn't God's sorrow.
-
So you got to have a sincere repeat and the
-
desire to become more christ Like. Because see, when you
-
got a the sincere repentance, you will have a desire
-
to be more like Jesus, because christ Christian means to
-
be christ Like, and you will have that desire to
-
be more like him, your leader. How many of us
-
want to be so much like Mike, but don't want
-
to be like Jesus. Mike gonna die and go somewhere
-
out whatever way he lives. Mike, don't hold heaven and
-
in hell for you.
-
Mike can't bless you like God. God is the only
-
one that has life.
-
I want to be like Michael Jackson. I don't want
-
to be like Jesus. Number four and this one right
-
here is the one that really gonna don't really help you.
-
And a lot of us miss this measure. But number
-
four said view spiritual battles and trials and temptations and
-
failures as avenues of growth instead of obstacles. And a
-
lot of us when trials and tribulations come, we don't
-
view them like that. We gonna sing that song whoa
-
as me? But if you want to measure up to
-
Jesus Christ and leader is considered war with me. So
-
if you want to consider those things as what was me,
-
you're not gonna measure up. When those trials come, those
-
battles come, those failures come. You should you view those
-
as a way that God is trying to help you
-
grow and not an obstacle for you to.
-
Fail and fall short.
-
Hey man, And when you do fall short, because the way.
-
You view them, you're gonna get up. Yeah, I see
-
you again. Move on.
-
Number five A desire for godly woo. You can get
-
a sea lit on this one. Somebody say, sea lie
-
a desire for godly obedience and commitment regardless.
-
Of the personal cost.
-
Woo wow.
-
Yeah, they cuts you out. God said, don't cuss them now.
-
Uh huh.
-
God said, go, you better go. You question the God.
-
You sure about that? God, nigger, I said it go.
-
I'm always sure about what I say. Well, I'll just
-
do a little bit of this. Well, you ain't been obedient.
-
To God.
-
Number six and increasing faith through trials and tim so
-
when the trials and tribulations come, it only comes to
-
bill your faith.
-
How does it come to build my faith?
-
Because when trials and tribulations come, we must remember, even
-
though they come, I still got my faith, and no
-
weapon formed against me should prosper.
-
See.
-
Even though they come, I still have my faith in
-
what God says for me is gonna be. I still
-
got my faith in even though the trials and tribulations come,
-
that God has already.
-
Seen me through it.
-
It's like that little footprint poem. When he walked in
-
the sand, he saw two sets of footprints, and then
-
when he got in trouble, he only seen one set
-
and he was hollering whether I wasn't in trouble, you
-
was walking. I had two sets of footprint, one was mine,
-
when one was yours Jesus. But now that I'm in trouble,
-
I only see one set of footprint. Well, when he
-
did understand those footprint, whatn't is don't footprint.
-
But one set with Jesus.
-
Because Jesus was carrying him, so he wasn't making no footprints.
-
That's why you only see one setting. Now you got
-
in trouble, I had to carry you.
-
It ain't but one setting now. Number seven. A hunger
-
for private devotion and prayer. A hunger for when you're
-
at home by yourself, some private devotion, but just you
-
and God, devotion and prayer. I ain't say prayer and
-
that's it. I said devotion and prayer. Who don't know
-
what devotion is?
-
Okay, then tell the truth.
-
Number eight A desire to please God by making decisions
-
based on his will and not on personal wants and needs.
-
See, it's what Jesus always did.
-
When the enemy came at him after forty day fast
-
and the wilderness, he said, man, I know you home
-
here I'm peraphrasing gon't turn I know you got the power.
-
Godn't turn that stone into bread and eat Jesus you hungry,
-
jesusd I'm gonna do the will of the Father. And
-
the will of the Father is that he said bread alone.
-
And what's the scripture somebody tells him man should not
-
live by bread alone, but by every word that proceed
-
out of the will of God or out of God's mouth.
-
In other words, I'm not gonna do my will and
-
turn the stone to bread like you're trying to convince
-
me to do. And I'm not gonna listen to you,
-
because I'm always listening to God said to.
-
Us a lot of things. Right there.
-
He not only is he not gonna do his own will,
-
but he ain't gonna listen to the voice trying to
-
tell him to do something that God's voice ain't telling.
-
Them to do. Amen.
-
So that's a desire to please God by making your
-
decisions based on God's will and not your own personal
-
wants and needs.
-
But by the will of God.
-
Will we make the decisions in our lives we make
-
as a matter of fact, God tells us, and if
-
we obedient to it, everything that we do, we supposed
-
to seek Him first Amen.
-
Supposed to give an ac count to God.
-
Number nine and desire to be used by God in
-
the lives of others. I like this right here because
-
you know we we people of choice, and we like
-
to know you know we we people of choice.
-
And you know how you.
-
Have ministers on the road can't wait to get behind
-
the poor hit the priest, the people that the pastor
-
priest to every Sunday. Somebody help me in here. You're
-
a minist of the gospel. Why don't you preaching the folks?
-
Or your poor pit is out there? God gave this
-
poor pit.
-
To the pastor. That one's out there.
-
And if the pastor want you to come up here
-
by the move of God, then here. He knows that
-
you got a word, He'll set you up here. But
-
other than that, you don't be sitting out there with
-
a frown on your face because you ain't never get
-
behind this poor pit.
-
Your puopit out there, hey man.
-
And when you understand that, then you have a desire
-
to be used by God to preach it. No matter
-
who they are, we always want to tell the same something,
-
tell them heeding something out there.
-
They the one that's supposed to need the help. Yeah,
-
help your brother.
-
Don't get it twisted when they're in need of help.
-
But how many of them out there that really need
-
heaven ain't got no heaping, ain't nobody helping them.
-
That's why the world is in.
-
The condition that it's in now because the Church, which
-
is the body of Christ, can't get behind these walls.
-
And one of the main saddest reasons they can't.
-
Get beyond these walls because they're too busy fighting with
-
each other.
-
And they ain't ready to go out there to talk
-
to nobody.
-
See God win his house right first before he send
-
you anywhere, huh.
-
Then, and Jesus our leader, then he get the disciples
-
right before he sent him out. He didn't send him out,
-
so he.
-
Knewe they was ready. And when he knew they was ready,
-
he empowered them. And then he sent them out. And
-
they was amazed by what growth they had because they
-
all came back.
-
They were just they were just cheerful and testifying. Whooh boy,
-
I touched.
-
That man and he could hear it when he was there. Man,
-
I pray for that lady boy, and the healer came
-
upon her. They was excited. Some of y'all boys, y'all
-
went out there trying to pray for somebody might run
-
from me because I don't never see your smile. You
-
come in the House of God and you look like
-
something wrong with you. I always used to I always
-
used to love, and I still do because it's the
-
same tenacity when I used to sit out there and
-
the choir.
-
We used to have a choir up here.
-
It was one in the It was two individuals that
-
I always focused on because they had they measured up
-
to being up here.
-
They did.
-
I'm telling you about me. I don't know what y'all thought,
-
but I'm talking about what God.
-
Was showing me.
-
Sinceter Lisa was always bubbled up here all the time.
-
No, it ain't chained.
-
And Sister Marriage was always bubbled up here, even though
-
she had some weight on her. Sometimes she had to
-
she had to masket sometimes because it had some heathens
-
up here that wouldn't comply. And that's the way we
-
should always be bubbled up for the Lord. People always
-
need to see that in you see that. That's what
-
Paul said that they saw. They they see the sun
-
in me. They need the son in me. They need
-
to see the son in you. You don't just need
-
to see the son in you in here, because that
-
ain't the real son in you.
-
They need to see the son in.
-
You out there, every backing look like they got the
-
son in them. And if it's here, even the he
-
didn't come up in God's the center, come in God's
-
house and know he gotta act like he got some
-
sense because he know what he is. And then he
-
go to cutting up some of them cut up in
-
here too, just like no claiming to be saved.
-
God has the desire, but you have to have a desire.
-
For number nine, you have to have the desire to
-
be used back God. God has a desire to use you.
-
But you have to have the same desire to be
-
used back God. And when you have a desire to
-
be used back God, you do God's will, not your will.
-
Hey man, somebody, God is awesome.
-
And not only do you have a desire to do
-
to be used.
-
By God in the lives of others.
-
This is the most important part of this part.
-
It has to be no matter who it is. It
-
has to be no matter who it is, for you
-
to be. I ain't going over there and tell her nothing.
-
I can't stand that helper.
-
You know she don't like me that you ain't got
-
that desire. You ain't got that desire. She don't like me,
-
I ain't got nothing to say to her. Well, you
-
ain't got that desire.
-
You ain't doing God's will, he said, no matter who
-
it is. And if you know she don't like you
-
need to be praying for it. Not liking her because
-
she don't like you. That ain't God.
-
That's another way you gotta measure. That's the desire.
-
And the only way you can have those nine is
-
because of the temper. It's only one way. I believe
-
y'all know what it is. Y'all know you know what
-
it is. I talk about it all the time. You
-
can't even have joy, You can't have peace, can't you
-
can't have you can't have patience without this one thing.
-
This one thing still is a driving force for these
-
other nine. A vibrant love for God. Love is a
-
driving force. You can't forgive folks.
-
Unless you got there God. They love of God.
-
You might give them a past, you might give them
-
a free Bible. You you ain't still loving them. You
-
ain't really forgive Him until you have a vibrant love
-
for God. Can you even do the other nine? You
-
have to have a vibrant love for God and an
-
awareness of His presence amen indicating spiritual growth at.
-
All times, not when you want to at all time.
-
I keep telling y'all, He's an all God. He ain't
-
gonna take this a little bit of here and a
-
little bit there. He want it all.
-
And for you to do that, it means you focus
-
on him. Hey man, you focus on him. He ain't
-
gonna take a little bit. Well, I'm gonna go to
-
true Sunday and uh give God the praise and you know,
-
act right. But Monday through Saturday, you a gonna fool God.
-
Don't accept that. He don't accept that. He don't accept that.
-
And if you keep doing that, you're gonna fool yourself
-
real good, and you gonna wake up in hell cause
-
you done Van Boozer the hood with yourself.
-
You understand what I'm saying. You can't love this person
-
to mistreat that person.
-
I don't care if they don't like you, you still can't
-
mistreat him. Why because you ain't measuring up like that.
-
They hung your Savior on a cross, stabbed it in
-
the side, beat into a Pope mocked him, and he
-
still said, forgive them because.
-
They know not what they do. Ain't nobody hung you
-
on no cross and beat you half to death. O.
-
Well, she talked about me, so what they talked about Jesus.
-
Get over it. She mistreated me. He mistreated me. He
-
ain't doing me right. Get over it because sooner or later.
-
As Sister Forward said in Sunday School.
-
They ain't gonna read what they saw. See.
-
If you just do your part, God don't do his part.
-
But when you try to do your part and God's part,
-
God don't do nothing because he don't need your health
-
to do his part.
-
So when you put your hand.
-
In while he's trying to help you, on his head
-
out because you ain't gonna testify I help God out,
-
it ain't gonna happen, Captain. So let God do God,
-
and you do you like God. That's the reason why
-
God says, seek first the Kingdom.
-
Of Heaven and his righteousness. That's all he ever told
-
us to do. Everything else falls up under it.
-
He said, And I shall supply all of your need.
-
I get rid of your enemies. Don't worry about your enemies.
-
I got them.
-
I know it taken a long time, but I'm gonna
-
get them, and they ain't gonna reap whatever they did
-
to you.
-
They gonna reap it worse than they did it to you.
-
It never fails. I know it.
-
Don't fail.
-
I don't feel it. Don't fail. I've seen it personally happen.
-
When I was in the penitentiary and folk come against me, God.
-
Got rid of them. I wanted to get rid of them,
-
but God did it.
-
I said, you must don't know what I come from.
-
You don't know what I come out of. You don't
-
wanna come against me.
-
I rain on you worse than you ever seen a flood.
-
You don't know my own life.
-
And when Paul said, you don't know where I come from,
-
you don't know what I used to do.
-
I go to a city and folks start running because
-
they know my reputation. But God said, you got a
-
different reputation. Now all you got to do is seat
-
first the Kingdom of God.
-
In my righteousness. Ill handled your enemies. I got him
-
keep on walking, and it happened.
-
God came to me one time I was coming through
-
the door at the penitentia, threw his shoulder to me.
-
I know it wasn't no accident.
-
Brother man, everything in my body got hot, I said,
-
he thinking, Yo, he thinks I'm gonna fight, I'm killing
-
cause that's what.
-
I'm used to do. I'm not gonna fight you, brother.
-
See, I learned the law in Los Angeles a long
-
time ago. You don't fight nobody so you can look
-
at him again. You gotta get rid of them so
-
they can't come back to you.
-
But then God spoke to me and he said, I
-
got that. So I stood there. He was right there,
-
I was right here. He looked at me. I was
-
looking at him.
-
Then I started smiling cause I start speaking to me.
-
Then I just turned to walk away, and the like,
-
you gonna get it doctor now for me, God gonna
-
handle it. And God handled it. I ain't see him
-
no more. I don't know where he went, but I
-
ain't see him no more.
-
You see, if.
-
We just stay focused on God, I want you to
-
get this and I'm done. If you just stay focused
-
on God, I don't care how long you think it takes,
-
It's already done. I've been praying for three weeks and
-
God finally didn't know. God did it before you ever prayed, because.
-
He knew you believed in it.
-
It just manifested because you got in the position of
-
faith to believe it.
-
And now here it comes. But it wasn't three weeks ago.
-
It's right now with God. See, Ytta understand, he lives
-
in eternity. We live in time. So whatever he does
-
is right now because already done in.
-
Six days, God created everything even this day. And that's
-
before he even manifested at him. He'd already created everything
-
that was gonna be back in the garden.
-
Back then in six days. What was gonna happen today?
-
He already knew it. It ain't no surprise to God. Nothing.
-
You can't fool him, you can't trick him. You can't
-
play with him. And when you come up the part,
-
you will realize all of that.
-
When you measure, you better quit playing with God. Man,
-
he can't play with God. It's impossible to play with God.
-
How you gonna play with somebody that's all knowing, How
-
you gonna play with somebody to know your thoughts before
-
you even think your own thoughts. How you gonna play
-
with him before you think about the mischief you're gonna do.
-
God already saw it. It came to you late. You
-
got his second hand, your own thoughts, you got him
-
second hand. God already knew it. It ain't no to God.
-
Then you were gonna mistreat somebody, He already knew. And
-
you know, if you're gonna repent about it and be
-
true about it, he already knows. You can't bamboozle him.
-
He hood wig him up, pull the wool over his eyes.
-
He's all knowing. So when y'all run around talking.
-
Back, bed could playing with God. You can't play with God.
-
What you're doing is playing with your own soul salvation.
-
You're playing with your position. You're playing with your You're
-
playing with your presence. You're playing with your future. You're
-
playing with your whereabouts. You're playing with your own whereabouts.
-
What's your whereabouts?
-
Heaven or Hell?
-
That's what you're playing with. You ain't playing with God.
-
So in order to have the nine of the ten,
-
you have to have.
-
A virant love for God.
-
And that love for God will cause you to be
-
obedient to God.
-
And that's what God, God says.
-
Obedience is better than sacrifice.
-
Amen, I'm done. You got a handcuff for us? Amen?
-
Amen, I hope you looked in your own mirror.
-
I hope you saw where you did measure up and
-
where you didn't that wherever you don't, you need to
-
fix it because if you don't got it all, you
-
ain't got none of it. That's the where God rose.
-
If you don't have it at all, you don't have
-
none of it. You gotta have it all.
-
Just like the law.
-
If you break one till of the law, you've broken
-
the whole law.
-
That's the word of God. That's the reason why we're
-
not under the law anymore. We under grace.
-
Because God realized we couldn't keep the law. God gave
-
six hundred and some laws to his own people, the Jews,
-
and they added.
-
More laws to God's laws.
-
Wasn't even keeping the laws God gave him in show
-
was and keeping the ones they made up. And we're
-
still living in that dispensation of time. Look at our
-
government giving us all these laws to take and laws
-
to abide, bye, and the government don't even keep them.
-
They like the Pharisees and the Sadda Seas.
-
Same thing. You see police driving down.
-
The street that speeds pass the speed literally you're breaking
-
the law. They run red lights, they breaking the law.
-
They unlawfully arrest people they breaking the law.
