THE PORTRAIT OF A MOTHER

Turn my mic down a little bit. Thank God for

the mamas. Anybody that's capable can be a mother, hey man,

But a mama a mama, y'all work walk with me

right now. A mama can be a mama even if

she ain't never had a child. I heard what I'm saying.

A mother has a child, But a mama can be anybody.

Because a mother is the one that birthed the child.

That's why she's called the mother of the child. But

the mama is the one that takes care of the child.

It's a whole lot of mothers that are not mamas. Amen.

I already told y'all Happy Mother's Day, So let me

say Happy Mama's Day, Happy Mama Days, because her mama

never stops. A mother may cease, but a mama never stops. Amen,

So let me say happy Mama's days days as well.

When we look in Proverbs thirty one talking about this

virtuous mama, this psalms a proverb rather well, the words

of King let Mail was the prophecy that his mother

taught him in verses one through nine. Amen. But these

ten verse through the thirty first verse is beginning to

speak about this virtuous Mama. Amen, let us pray. Father,

we want to think. Let us stand while we pray. Amen,

let us all stand while we pray. We stand in

the presence of God. If you can stand, stand, you

got a problem standing then, and you can stand, I pray, God,

don't take your standing away from you when you can stand,

because it's somebody can't stand. Amen. So let us stand

in the presidence of the Lord. And I know you

can stand because you walked in here. Amen. Yeah, you

caused me to set you out. Father. We want to

thank you for this privilege and opportunity to come before

a holy God. And I pray God because I know

you will send a word and a message to all

that are listening this morning. Help us Lord by your

Holy Spirit. We need your help God, those that are

listening over the airways and those that are here in

the house. We need the help of the Holy Spirit.

We need your guidance, We need your deliverance. We need

you the leaders in the right way because heaven and

Hell are real, and we know God that no sining

were in of the Kingdom of Heaven. So we ask

that you would search our hearts. God with your spiritual light,

search us out God. And if you find anything that's

not like you, please God, deliver us from it, cast

it out of us. In the name of Jesus, we

stand before you this morning giving you that permission. We

stand before you this morning, needing you to do just

that for us, that we may hear the words from

you when our judgment comes well done, and not depart

from me and go to hell. We want to hear

well done, God, in the name of Jesus. So as

your words go forth this morning for the mamas of

this world. Lord, in the precious name of Jesus, Help today. God,

Help today, too many mamas without Daddy. Help today, Father,

in the name of Jesus. Rebuke that enemy that tries

to always separate the family's God in the name of Jesus,

Rebuke that enemy that causes them to give up on

their marriage and on their children. Rebuke him right now, God,

because marriage is almost like a contest in this day

and time. It's almost like some kind of hobby. But

I know God that it's sacred to you God, and

so is the gift of a child to a mama

and a daddy. Help today, Holy Spirit, in the Precious

name of Jesus. And will be mindful always gone to

give your glory and give you praise. Fill the house

with your spirit as always, and these temples in it

rebuke every demonic and every devil from hell to try

to come against your word. In Jesus' name, I pray

and thank God in the church, says a man, a

man and a man in the Book of Proverbs, chapter

thirty one. I call this a picture, are a portrait

of a mama. You may be seated in the house

of the Lord. I'm gonna be brief, not gonna be

with you. Loan, just want to drop this note, hey man.

Nineteenth century artist Jamie Abbott McNeil Whistler was the most

famous for his oil painting of his mother, and his

painting was considered to be one of the world's masterpieces.

This was his poetry of a mother, hey Man. I

said this was his portrait of a mother. But an

inspired writer from Israel gave a majestic word picture of

a mother. And it is recorded in Proverbs verse chapter

thirty one, ten verse the thirty first verse, and it

ranks very high as a masterpiece, as did the masterpiece painting.

It ranks even higher than his masterpiece. Amen, mothers are

the mama should possess the qualities of companionship. Are you

with me? She should have companionship with her children. She

should have companionship with her husband, sharing in domestic responsibilities.

While he goes to work and attends to his job,

so should she attend to the clothing and feeding of

her family because teamwork is very vital to marital stability. Amen,

a mother should possess the quality of nurturing. Hey, man,

that's what a mother does. She's a nurturer. See biological capability.

She should have to produce those capabilities of nurturing. But

come to understand that when you think about it, biologically,

your biological capability is to nurturing. Does not make a

woman a nurturing mother because motherhood is not basically a

biological act. Are a physical relationship. Why you might ask that, Well,

I'm glad you asked. Let me tell you. Let me

tell you this. Then, many women have given birth to

a child but never become a real mother, a mama

because some regard children as a personal accomplishment. That don't

make you a mama, That just makes you a mother.

They value them, and they regard a child as a

personal accomplishment or a biological accident. Amen, But no child

is an accident. I don't care what the case may be.

I don't care what they witness. Is no child is

an accident as a matter of fact, Jesus, are you

with me? Was the only child that I know there

was not planned by the mother or the father. That's

the only child I know that was not planned by

the mother of the father. I don't care what you say.

You got in that bed, and you did the due diligence,

and you had on the jimmy, and you you got pregnant.

And then you want to say that the jimmy had

a hole in it, so it was an accident that

I got pregnant. No, no, No, there was no accident.

See an accident? Yeah? Is that man who came out

of his house and tripped on the threshhold click of

the door and rode and fell off in his car.

And as he fell up in his car, his hand

slung the key in ignition, And then is that her

hands slapped it and started it and the car started

rolling down the street. And then the car wound up

in her driveway and it hit a bump. The door

came open. He rolled out of the car so hard

when he hit the front door of her house, he

flipped up and landed between her legs and the bed.

There's an accident. No, he left the house with the

intentions on getting busy with her, and if he had

not gotten busy, Jimmy and old Jimmy, that would never

have been a child born. There's no accident. That's planning,

even though your mind wasn't set the planet Jesus, I

say again, was the only child that I know that

was not planned by the mother of the father, the

which y'all call the boyfriend and the girlfriend a man somebody.

Some also treat children as toys, are objects to be

played with like dolls, and dress them up like dolls.

Some using his tools for manipulation. She had the baby,

trying to draw him in. He got a pregnant trying

to draw her in. See it works both ways. Women

don't have women don't just have children to try to

draw the man, try to keep him a man again,

her pregnant, try to keep her. They use them for

tools of manipulation. Amen. Sometimes they use them for the

benefits for their own game. I'm gonna have me two

more babies, and the government gonna give me some more money,

and the government gonna get me some more food stamps. Well,

you're in the wrong era now if you're trying that one. Yeah,

because I know a man by the name of you

know his name trying to cut out all these government

plans a man, and I really don't have no problem

with that, because there are some mothers not mamas. I'm

gonna explain some stuff to you here in a minute.

There's some mothers not mamas, who've been trying to live

decades off of the government because they have had these

kids for the purpose of the benefit of their own game.

But a mama a nurtures She's nurturing a child means

that this mama accepts the responsibility of the child. Amen,

she commits herself to helping to develop the life of

that child. It means hurting when he hurts, laughing when

he laughs, and crying with the child, experiencing good and

bad times together, telling the child the truth, telling the

child the truth and living it before them, Telling the

child the truth and living it before them. Do you

hear me? The mamas don't tell their children there's an

Easter buddy Santa Claus. Because that's a lie. Amen. They

don't tell that their father is on vacation when he's

in jail. They don't lie to their children. And not

only do they don't lie to him, they live the

truth before them. Are you with me? Let me tell

you a story about a little boy. I told you

one about a little boy on a train last Sunday.

I'm going to tell you about this little boy. This

little boy he found a little chick and brought it

to his father. But his father told him to take

it back to its mother. But he said, father, it

has no mother. So he said take it back to

its father. And he said, father, it don't even have

a father. He said, it's only it only has a

little lamp to take care of it. That's an incubation process.

So the electric lamp did serve the need for the

chick in that it helped to hatch him and preserve him.

But that was all it could do. But a mama

can feed it. She can give it a warm bed,

she can give it warm clothes to put on them.

She can give it a roof over his head. Are

you with me? And a mother can do? A mama

can do the most important thing that causes her to

do all of those other things. She can love it

and holding it in the times of need. Hey, man,

I hope you're getting this. Most of all, a mama

ship possessed the qualities of the most important ingredient, godlyness.

Godliness will cause the love to project out to nurture

her child in every way possible. Amen. There are many

who speak of motherhood as a qualification for sainthood, but

many are far from that. Amen. When I look in

the Book of Second Timothy, there's a saying second Timothy,

chapter three and verse six and seven, and the scripture

says four of four of this sort are they which

creep into houses and lead captives, silly women, laden with sins,

laid away with divers lust, ever ready learned, ever learning,

and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

What are you saying, Paul says. Paul speaks about women

carried away by false doctrine, and women who turn from

the house of the Lord to the house of devastation. Amen,

these women are carried away with false doctrine. And these

women are women who travel from house to house, spending

time in gossip and slander, and probably many of these

women are not. Most of these women are considered to

be mothers, but they are not good women. And one

of the saddest words written about a mother was about

the king a Hazi of Judah. His mother encouraged him

to do wrong. That's not a mama, that's a mother,

hey man. You can read about that in Second Chronicles

twenty two and verse three. Because good mamas come as

a relationship with God. Are you with me, God letting

us in? A good mother can only come from our

Lord and sage of Jesus Christ. Is that driving force

in a mama to be nourishing to her child. Nourishing

means it all, feeding him, clothing him, hugging him, holding him,

telling him you love him, telling her you love him,

put the roof over their heads. A mama is a

one again, as I say, takes care of the child.

A mother has them. But every body that's a mother

is not a mama, aymen. A good mother comes as

a relationship with God. You have to have a relationship

with the Lord Jesus Christ in order to be a

good mama. There are those who have mothered a child

and gave him away for somebody else to take care

of him. There's no reason whatsoever for you to give

away a child that God allowed the miraculous miracle to

happen within you. Because a child is a gift. We

must understand a child is a gift to us. And

if God give you a gift, you should be a

good steward over the gifts that God give you. Amen.

A mother has to become a mama. Aymen, let me

give you something. Proverbs thirty one and verse ten. Who

can find a virtuous woman, for her price is far

above rubens. The heart of her husband do is safely

trust in her, so that he shall have no need

of spoil. She will do him good and not evil

all the days of her life. She speaketh. She speaketh

wool and flex and work it willingly with her hands.

She is like the merchants ship. She bringeth her food

from afar she raised. She rises also while it is

yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a

portion to her maidens. She consider it a field and

buy it with the fruit of her hands. She planteth

a vineyard. She girded her lawns with strength and strengthening

her arms. She perceives that her merchandise is good. Her

candle goth not out by night. She laith her hands

to the spindle, and her hands hold the district this draft.

She's strengthened out her hands. She stretches out her hand

to the poor yead. She reaches forth her hand to

the kneedy. She's not afraid of the snow. For her household,

for all her household, her clothes was scarlet. She make

it herself coverings of tapestry. Her clothing is silk and purple.

Her husband is known in the gates when he sit

it among the elders of the land. She make it

fine linen, and sell it and delivered grattles unto the merchant,

grittles into the merchant. Strengthen in honor are her clothing.

Strength and honor are her clothing, And she shall rejoice

in the time to come. She openeth her mouth with wizards,

dumb not foolishness. And in her her tongue is the

law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of

her household, and edith not the bread of idleness. Her

children arise up and call her blessed. Her husband also,

and he praises her many daughters have done virtuously, But

Thy excellent excel it them. All. Favor is deceitful, and

beauty is vain. But a woman that fearieth the Lord,

she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of

her hands, and let her own works praise her in

the gates. This is the godly woman that is the mother, Amen,

and turns into the mama. How you with me? This

Proverbs chapter thirty one, verses ten through thirty one describes

a mama, a mother and a wife. Amen. This proverb

says and is used to describe also the covenant relationship

that she has with God. In all of this description,

she keeps this as a covenant with God. Amen. So

look again at the biblical portrait. For we have seen

the whistler physical portrait. But this and these verses in

this book describes the biblical portrait of a mama. She

is not just a nice woman, ay man. Instead, she

is a companion for her husband and her children. For

her husband and her children, she's a biblical mama who

gives her children more than life. You know, just because

you birth a child and become a mother, that don't

make you a mama. Are you with me? Anybody can

be a mother, but it takes a mama with the

god holiness of God to be a mama. The whole

lot of mothers out there, but not all of the

mom mamas. Hey man, the mama is the nurturing one.

The mother just has a child. And anybody can have

a child. Many mothers have had children and have given

them away, never becoming a mama. Only was a mother.

Takes a mama to nurture child. It takes a mama

to tell the child the truth, stay with me. It

takes a mama who has the ability and Godliness in her.

Even when the father don't want nothing to do with

the child. It takes a mama to allow the father

to even see the child. He ain't did nothing for

him in ten years. I ain't let him see him.

You're just a mother, You not a mama. See that's

why it takes God to help you to be a mama,

because a mama gonna do what's right. See, the child

is innocent, so the child has a right to see

his father even if he ain't a daddy. It takes

God in a mama to make those kind of decisions. Amen.

It takes God and her to move her with compassion,

to have that relationship with her child, but first with God,

and she will always nurture that child by need and demonstration. See,

just because you can't be running around talking about I'm

his mamma and and daddy, well then you must be

a morphade. You must be a morphade. If you is

mamma and his daddy. And even if you are morma dike,

he can't be nobody, but his mama can't be his daddy.

I know they upset because he don't do nothing. They

want to say, I'm the mama and his dad. Now

you ain't just his mother. And when you have thinking

like that, you ain't became a mama yet. Hey man, somebody,

I know it ain't I know this ain't sweet, but

it's true. I told you last Sunday. If you ain't

ready for the truth, get ready, because that's all God's

dealing with. A biblical mother gives her children more than life.

That means she gives them more than the fact she

birth them. Ay Man, she gives them more than the

fact that she birthed them. A mother can have a

child that she don't even like, but a mama don't

go in that direction. How can you not like the

miraculous miracle work that God gave you. Hey, man, I

don't care how the child come out. He's still a

miracle and he's still a gift from God, so he

should be treated with all compactmionship, all the love in

Jesus Christ, no matter what. There are people who have

had kids that were retarded and they didn't want to

do nothing with them. They didn't want nothing to do

with him. Some's wrong with you, mother and father. Amen.

The gift that God gives is to be taken care

of regardless, because a child is a gift from God,

no matter how to come. Amen and gnaw. As the

Lord spoke to the one asking about the blind man

who did sin his mother or his father, and Jesus said, neither.

He's that way. So that God can get the globe.

Mother becomes a mama only to fulfill her role as

a mama through the help and the power of our

Lord and Savior of Jesus Christ in her life. You

see again, I say, the child is a gift from God.

And the Bible commands us to be a good steward

over the things that God gives us and if God

gives you a child, you need to be a mother

to that child and then become that mama. And that

child does not always have to be the one to

come out of your womb for another woman to be

a mama. See a mama don't even really have to

have a child come out of a womb. She can

be a mama any high. I heard God say all

the time. I heard the young lady say all the time,

say well, I'm his I'm his stepmother. I say, you

take care of him? She said, yeah, you feel her? Yeah,

he live in your house. Yeah, I say, you is mama.

His mother don't live with y'all, but his mama lives

with him. And that's you. I'm not as real. I'm

not as real father, but you know he I say

you you right? You not as real father? You is daddy.

So before when I close and I'm closing now, happy

Mama's day. But do you resemble the mother in this

biblical poetrait? Hey, man, give God some priends. There's so

much truth, as we were talking about in Sunday School

this morning, and it really disturbs me in these ministries

around the world. But what's most disturbing is is that

people really don't want the truth. They just want to

feel good about themselves. And you got those preachers that

want you to feel good about yourself because he wants

you to keep yourself coming, and he want to keep

yourself giving, and he wants you to keep yourself raising

him up in his wallet and in his house, his mansion,

and his gated house, and his Mercedes and Rose Royce.

They don't care nobody telling you the truth because they

don't want to offend you. Well, my Bible tells me

that I can teach you all things, and I will,

and I'm not going to shortcut the teaching. Hey man,
