He is an awesome God worthy of all the praise
-
and all the glory. Amen. First like to say that, God,
-
we thank you for yet another gathering as the church
-
to expound on your word, God, that we may learn
-
more of you, because you know all about us. So
-
we thank you Lord for this privileged opportunity that we
-
can stand here in your holy house, on your holy grounds,
-
in your holy presence. Amen. Let us pray. Father. We
-
want to thank you God in the name of Jesus, first,
-
for forgiving us God, if we went any other way
-
but yours. If we came out of character, Please forgive us, Lord,
-
but give us in the name of Jesus Christ. If
-
we spoke anything, said, anything thought, anything I acted in
-
any way it was out of character of our Lord
-
and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is by far our example
-
in which way to walk in Thy sight. We thank
-
you Lord for that, and that the Holy Spirit will
-
continue to help us to walk in that way of
-
example that he showed us to walk, as your word
-
teaches us continually, God, how to walk and how to
-
keep your character. In the name of Jesus, Thank you Father.
-
We're open God, We're open to you. Lord. We're open
-
to you. God. We're learning more and more God to
-
lift our hands up and not be holding our hands out. Yes, Father,
-
in the name of Jesus, we thank you God for
-
this word today that shall not come back void, but
-
it shall come what you set it out to do
-
this morning, in the name of Jesus. Touch every heart
-
in his place, everyone listening on the airways, in the
-
name of Jesus, and touch that sinner's heart. Touch it God,
-
if you have to touch it twice, Touch it twice,
-
as you did the blind man's eyes. That you touch
-
it the first time, he can see, but he's not focused.
-
Touch it again to bring him in the focus. God,
-
in the name of Jesus. Touch that backslider who's turned
-
away from you, who have been seduced, hood, wicked, and
-
out foxed to believe the lie. Turn his heart back
-
around God and come back to his first love. In
-
the name of Jesus. And God, look and continue to
-
help the saints today that are holding on. Help them
-
to hold on with a mighty grip. God, because we're
-
living in some dangerous times, we're living in some wicked times,
-
and we're living in the end of it all. And
-
we want to hold on God until the end. When
-
we hear you say well done, well done, and we
-
live in the paradise you meant for us in the
-
beginning in Jesus' name, I pray thank God in the church.
-
Say Amen, Amen, and amen. I want to read for
-
your hearing in the Book of Matthews. Go quickly to
-
chapter six and verse twenty four. When you get there,
-
say a man sounds like everybody is in Matthews, Chapter six,
-
verse twenty four. I see, I see one page, two
-
pages still turning, and give you just if I want
-
everybody to see this. Always amen. I don't make up this,
-
It's already made up. In the Book of Matthews, chapter
-
six and verse twenty four, Jesus says here for our
-
hearing that no man, So I don't know who you
-
think you are, what title you hold, and I don't
-
know how important you may believe that you are. But
-
my Lord and Savior said, no man. None can serve
-
two masters, for either he will hate the one and
-
love the other, or else he will hold to the one,
-
which means be lawyer to that one and despise the other.
-
Ye cannot serve God and matter riches. Jesus said that, therefore,
-
I say unto you, take no thought for your life.
-
Don't worry about it. Do not worry about your life
-
what ye shall eat. Don't worry about what you're gonna eat,
-
or what ye shall drink. Nought yet for what your
-
body not yet, nor yet for your body what ye
-
shall put on is not the life more than food
-
or meat, and the body than the arraiment clothes. Behold,
-
he says, take note of the fowls of the air,
-
the birds, how they fly freely, For they sore not,
-
for they sow not. They ain't sol nothing, They just
-
flying around free. Neither do they reap nor gather into barns.
-
They ain't trying to save up nothing. Yet your heavenly
-
Father feed it. You see what I'm saying, feed it.
-
He always feeds them, continually feeding them. They ain't worried
-
about it. They know they gonna get some food somewhere somehow,
-
Are you not much better than they? Which of you,
-
by taking thought can add one cubic unto his statue?
-
What can you add to your life by wearing? And
-
why take ye thought for raiment? You're worried about clothes
-
for consider the lilies of the field, how they grow
-
and grow and grow? He said, they toil. Not they
-
ain't spinning around where it trying to figure it out.
-
Neither do they spin. And yet I say unto you
-
that even Solomon, who was the richest man, head it
-
off and all of his glory, was not a rag
-
like one of these. He wasn't even clothed like the
-
lilies of the field. Wherefore, if God so clothed the
-
grass of the field, If God clothing the grass of
-
the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into
-
the oven, shall he not much more clothed you, oh
-
ye of little faith, therefore taking no thought wearing saying
-
what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or
-
whether shall we be clothed? Now see, I only see
-
you're saying that, making those statements because you're trying to
-
choose between what you really already got. Amen, Somebody see
-
I leave here every Sunday saying what shall we eat?
-
Not because I'm worried about getting food. I'm just trying
-
to pick the place I'm going because I'm already I've
-
already been supplied. You understand, I got a hamburger set
-
now steak set now, cheeseburger seting now, some fish here
-
and some meat, bottles of spaghetti there. I'm only saying
-
what shall I eat? Because I'm trying to figure out
-
which one I want? What shall I wear out? Because
-
I'm in the closet trying to figure out what I
-
fit to put on? What shall I drink? Because I'm
-
looking at my refrigerator. And then I got juice, and
-
I got milk, and I got tea, and I got
-
fruit punch. Because God did already supplied all my needs.
-
I'm not worried about it. I'm just trying to see
-
which one I want right now. For after all these things,
-
do the gentile seek for your heavenly Father know it.
-
He knows that you have need of all these things.
-
He know you got need of food and clothes. He
-
know you got need of drink. But what he wants
-
you to do is verse thirty three. He said, but
-
seek Eve first the Kingdom of God. Keep your mind
-
on the spiritual things of Me and my righteousness. And
-
when you do that, you ain't got to worry about
-
all that stuff, because he says, and all these things
-
shall be added unto you. Take that for no thought tomorrow,
-
for tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
-
Sufficient into the day is the evil there are. Don't
-
worry about tomorrow. Man got his own problems. You gonna
-
get there. If you get there, just take thought about
-
what you're doing right now. Don't worry about tomorrow because
-
the mow might not even come. But if it do come,
-
he got his own problems. You're wearing too much and
-
you're going too far, ay Man, But I'm gonna talk
-
to you today about you can still trust him. You
-
can still trust him. I see what the world is
-
throwing at you. You can still trust him that these
-
folks talking about they running out of food and you
-
can still trusting stores cloth closing and they got clothes
-
for you to wear, and stores closing, they got food
-
and drink for you. But you can still trusting. You
-
can still trust him. Don't worry about the terrorists. God
-
put a percentage on can't nobody take off? And his
-
percentage to you and me is zero percent. Because he
-
gonna supply, because he promised, aymen, and if he promised,
-
he still trustworthy. You can trust him. You don't have
-
to wear it. You may be seated in the House
-
of the Lord because God got your back, hey man.
-
And if God got your back, I said, if God
-
got your back, then he's the only master you can trust.
-
You can't serve two masters. See that other person that
-
you serve, he ain't trustworthy. He's a liar, he's a thief,
-
a robber, and a killer. He's a misappropriator. He'll guide
-
you in the wrong direction. But the Lord and Savior
-
that I serve, oh yeah, you can trust him. And
-
he's the only one that I trust. Hey man, somebody
-
said something to me. I think it hurt they feeling
-
when they say, well, you can trust me, and I say,
-
I don't trust you. You don't trust me, brother, I said, no, sir,
-
how long you been knowing me? I said, man, I've
-
been knowing you, but I don't really know you. But
-
I know him. It ain't no fault in him, no failure.
-
And I don't even say yet because it ain't gonna
-
never be a yet. You See, when you're trying to
-
trust two masters, to be sick, to be seek to
-
be perfectly honest with you, you're only trusting one. See,
-
you can't really serve two masters. You're really only serving one.
-
But when you think you are. This kind of spiritual
-
double vision causes one to believe he can serve two masters.
-
But total loyalty to God cannot be divided. It can't
-
be divided between God and loyal to your material possessions.
-
You can't divide. Either you trust God or you don't.
-
You can't trust him a little bit here and a
-
little bit down. You trust them all ways because God claims,
-
He claims it total lawyers total lordship over his own. See,
-
when you say you don't give yourself to him, you
-
belong to him. And when you belong to him, he
-
claims total total lordship over you. Therefore, Jesus can rightly
-
be claimed you cannot serve God and Mammy. See, he
-
can right to claim that when God has toltdal lordship
-
over you, and when God has told the lordship over you,
-
ain't no other master for him, ain't man somebody? You
-
can't serve God in mamony and mamed is a word
-
derived from the Aromatic term for possessions and materials our wealth. Amen,
-
but Jesus is not. See Jesus ain't condemning money our possessions. Okay,
-
let's don't get a twisted, and we say he can't
-
serve you masters. He ain't condemned it. He's not condemning money,
-
our possessions, but he is condemning. What he is condemning, Amen,
-
is the improper attitude of enslavement towards wealth. That's what
-
he's condemned. That in proper attitude you got towards Hey, man,
-
it's mine, mine, mine, and you can't have none. But brother,
-
you got twelve of them. I just want a half
-
of one. It's mine, mine, mine, and I gotta get
-
some more. But Jesus not is. He's not condemning. He's
-
just condemning the improper attitude because possessions have been known
-
to enslave folks. A lot of folks have been known
-
to be enslaved towards wealth. Wealth meaning your money, your car,
-
your clothes. There's people right now out there washing their
-
car in this Sunday morning. They may it gonna it's
-
gonna rain again. We're gonna get this off here. You
-
get well, you're gonna have some dirt on you that
-
that water can't get off of you. It's gonna take
-
Jesus better get in, get in the house of God
-
and get that dirt washed off of you. Because the
-
soap and water ain't gonna do it. You better leave
-
that car and come to God. Here, blow on that
-
car and you won't have it no more, just like that.
-
But now Jesus goes on to tell us not to worry.
-
I'll be anxious because when we do this, it means
-
we are so disturbed about material needs that we distrust God. See,
-
when you're disturbed about having something, you ain't trusting God,
-
when you're mind aed at ease about it, knowing that
-
the truth of the Word says that he shall supply
-
all of your need. You see, you distrust God when
-
you become overwhelmed bad, are disturbed by are distracted, hey man,
-
because that's what happens to you when you get disturved
-
back you just trust God. You just you just trust God,
-
and you become distracted from faithful be doing his will.
-
So we should not worry about what we will eat, drink,
-
or even what we should put on our bodies because
-
He promised to take care of us. And God is
-
not a man that he should lie, but the son
-
of Man that he's he's not He's not a He's
-
not a man that he should lie, nor the son
-
of Man that he should repent. Amen. Amen, my mind
-
is trying to go into directions here this morning. I'm
-
gonna have to slow it down. God says, I want
-
you to teach this thing, and I'm trying to do
-
them both. But I'm gonna teach this thing because we
-
need to be taught. Amen. He promised to take care
-
of us. We cannot be insecure about God's provision. We can't.
-
We can't be insecure about God's provision for us because
-
it deprives us of the spiritual blessings of God, Amen,
-
and the trust that we should have in Him. Look here,
-
I can't just tell you that God promised these things
-
just coming out of my mouth. You understand. I want
-
you to know that God made a promise to each
-
and every one of us in Philippians chapter four, in
-
verse nineteen, and God says this, but you don't be
-
worried about what you drinking, or what you got to
-
eat or where, because he says, but my God is
-
he your God shall supply all your need according to
-
his riches in glory back Christ Jesus. He promised right there.
-
That's the word of God. He promised to take care
-
of us, and we cannot be insecure about his provision
-
for us because if the prizes of the prospiritual blessings
-
of God. And then Jesus goes on to tell us
-
how God is the sustainer and creator of nature, and
-
if he'll take care of them that have no soul,
-
how much more will God take care of his most
-
prized creation if he takes care of the lilies of
-
the field, the files in the air. Heymen, somebody, he's
-
telling us how he took care of nature, and how
-
he yet takes care of nature. How much more would
-
he do for the creation that was most precious to him? Amen?
-
And what will you gain from worrying about your life?
-
Accept sickness and death because you know it's a saying.
-
Gets sick from wearing too much, and you can die
-
from wearing too much. God don't want you to worry
-
about what you wear. He clothes nature. He clothes nature,
-
so he will clothe you, don't you know? Even the
-
homeiness on the street run up on clothes to wear.
-
Come on here, the homeless on the street run up
-
on food to eat. Huh. He'll touch somebody's heart if
-
they don't give him a couple of dollars. They'll take
-
them in the restaurant and give them something to eat
-
and something to drink. He will touch his heart. Sometimes
-
they'll take the shirt off their back and put it
-
on them. So worry about it. He gonna clothe you too.
-
He gonna feed you. Nature he feeds and clothes, and
-
he'll feed you too. He provides everything that nature needs.
-
The dirt, the soil, the rain, the sun. He provides
-
all that for him. The wind, the rain, the wind
-
to blow the leaves off the tree when it's time.
-
Put him to sleep in the winter when it's time,
-
wake him up again in the summer, and he'll do
-
the same for you and me. Don't stop trusting him.
-
He's still trustworthy. But all he wants us to do
-
is to understand he is the father. And when you
-
understand that he's the father of us, all that seek
-
him and trust him. And that's why he says, take
-
no thought about what you need, because he knows what
-
we need even before we ask him. Don't worry about
-
what you're going to put on, don't worry about what
-
you're going to eat, don't worry about how you have
-
gas money to make it to work the rest of
-
the week. Don't worry about lunch, don't worry about any
-
of that stuff. A man somebody, because you can still
-
trust in him. Don't worry about what the media is saying,
-
what the news is projecting in this wicked times. It
-
don't matter what they projected. You can still trust him.
-
You see. Father, he birth us into this new family,
-
and then he becomes daddy because he takes care of us.
-
He's a real daddy all the time. He don't pick
-
and choose. No matter what you do, He's still daddy.
-
A man. We're not to be worried about all these
-
all these trivial things, not even about where you're gonna
-
lay your head. For the Father knows all things. He
-
knows your need and your wonts, not just your need
-
but also your won't you know you you know back
-
in the day the parents said, boy, I'm gonna get
-
you what you need. He ain't always get what you want,
-
but that ain't God Daddy say I'm gonna give you
-
what you need and what you want. Because he said
-
I'm gonna supply all of your needs. And then he
-
backs up and said, I'm your shepherd, and you shall
-
not want, so he gonna take care of you on
-
both ends. You don't hear what I'm saying even before
-
you ask, because he knows your thoughts before you think him.
-
Hey man, But he simply says, put these things in order,
-
put things order. And I hear you ask, what is
-
that order that orders? With God spoke to you to
-
seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
-
That's the order. Our order is to seek first the
-
Kingdom of God and his righteousness. And then somebody say,
-
and then all of these things? What are these things?
-
All of these things our material things, because he knows
-
we live in a material world. So we got to
-
have a place to lay our head because we live
-
in a material world. We've got to have food to eat. Amen.
-
Because we live in a material world. We can't walk
-
around buck nickd. We got to have clothes to wear
-
because we live in a material world. And we just
-
got to have things that money can be. And that
-
means we got to have a job to get the
-
money to buy. And let's God bless somebody to give
-
it to us who also had to have money to buy. Amen.
-
And the fact that you got a job. To do
-
these things, you gotta have a way to get to
-
the job. He know you're gonna need a car, or
-
you might even need a uber or you might even
-
need a bus, Amen, somebody, or you might even need
-
a pot now with a right, But God go supply
-
a way to get to work. Amen. He gonna get
-
that transportation to you. You see, Jesus said, your father
-
knows everything you have need of, and all you've got
-
to do is do is don't spend your life seeking
-
after thieves, folks spending their life seeking things instead of
-
his face. Amen.
-
But all he told us to do was seek first
-
the Kingdom of God and his righteousness. Seek first the
-
Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
-
I need y'all to say that with me one, two three,
-
Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness. One
-
more time. Seek first the Kingdom of God one more time.
-
What's gonna happen after that? And all things are gonna
-
be added unto thee. Somebody say, all things are gonna
-
be added unto THEE. Who is THEE? Say me? Say me?
-
And you all you got to do is seek first
-
the Kingdom of God, and then all those things, all
-
those material things will be added unto you, because Jesus said,
-
I didn't say the preacher said all this, Bishop of
-
Prophet said, I said, Jesus said that your father, your daddy,
-
knows everything you have need of. And all you gotta
-
do is don't spend your life seeking after things. But
-
if we would just seek first the kingdom of God
-
and his righteousness and trust him, hey man, then all
-
the things will be added unto us. And you will
-
seek him, the Father. And when you seek him, you'll
-
recognize that one of the one of the words that
-
describe a father. When you seek him and seek him
-
like he says, he'll add all things to you, because
-
when you're seeking him, you'll find out Father turns to Daddy.
-
And since Father turns to Daddy, Father is the source
-
of all things. Amen. One of the definitions of the
-
word father is source, Amen, the place where it all
-
flows from. It all flows from him. If you would
-
just seek him, all flows from him. The things flow
-
from him. Amen. When you seek his kingdom, the things
-
flow from him. Hallelujah, flowy to God. So instead of
-
you running out the cars and running out the houses,
-
and running out the jobs and running out the clothes.
-
If you would just run out the guard and trust him,
-
just run after him. He is the source of all things.
-
And once you connect with the source, once you connect
-
with the source, Amen, this is a disconnection. But when
-
this switch connects, you got light. When you connect to him,
-
you got source. Amen, you got source when you connect
-
to him. When you seek first the Kingdom of God,
-
he'll send you the house. He'll send you the car,
-
he'll send you the clothes. He'll send you everything you
-
need for he is your father, and he's concerned about you,
-
all of his children. He'll send you the husband. He'll
-
send you the wife. He'll send you the healing them. Amen, somebody,
-
he'll send you the deliverance when you seek first him.
-
He'll send you the peace and the joy when you
-
seek at the him. And if you seeking after him,
-
ain't no need to do it. If you can't trust him,
-
you gotta trust him because God is concerned about his children.
-
What Dad is not concerned about his children? My children grown,
-
and I'm still concerned about him. I'll always be concerned
-
about my children. And I'm glad that I know who
-
he is. And I'm glad that I have a personal
-
relationship with him, and so whatever I need, he does
-
supply my ever need. I'm glad I got a relationship
-
with him. He is my supplier. He supplies every right
-
thought I need in my head. Heymen, somebody every right
-
way I need to go, he supplies. And in my conclusion,
-
I'm getting ready to conclude all this, and I hope
-
you got some matter of it. But I want you
-
to get this, hey man. I want you to I
-
want you to get this. I want to tell you
-
something that you need to know. Get in touch with
-
your father, hey man. Get in touch with your father.
-
You know why, because he wants to hear from you.
-
Get in touch with him. He want to hear from you.
-
His numbers never busy. You might have two ways. He
-
got eternal way, huh. You may call waiting a call hold.
-
He got continuation. And you may be able to put
-
somebody on the party line as much as two or
-
three or four. But he can put millions on them
-
and hear them all at the same time. You don't
-
hear what I'm saying. Get in touch with your father.
-
He wants to hear from you. He loves you, hey man,
-
and he wants to do the things for you get
-
in touch with him. He's waiting to hear from you.
-
Most folks don't ever talk to him enough. Some only
-
talk to him when they got their hand out. He
-
want to hear from you when your hand is out,
-
but he wanted more hear from you when your hands
-
are up. Hey man, he wants to hear from you.
-
Call on him and see when he answer. Because God's
-
got you back. If you would just trust in him
-
and in him alone. I didn't say trusting him and
-
then trusting Pastor Tompkins. I said in him alone. The
-
only way you can trust in me is if I'm
-
in him. And the only way you can know if
-
I'm in him is if you in him, because you're
-
gonna recognize it. Hey man, somebody, if you would just
-
trust in him and in him alone, he can do it.
-
No matter what the world is doing, no matter what
-
the all the calamity in the world, all the disturbance
-
in the world, all these things don't do nothing to
-
come to knock you off the focus of trusting in
-
your Lord and save it to put you in a panic.
-
Why should I be in a panic when my God
-
is in control of everything? Why am I panicking because
-
an earthquake coming. He got the earthquake under control. Whoever
-
he gonna receive during an earthquake. On. You ain't running
-
hiding nowhere, Come on in here. Somebody ain't no need
-
of frightening dying when some folks live to die. Amen.
-
And everybody want to get to heaven, but don't nobody
-
want to die to get there. All you got to
-
do is trust in Him and you ain't got to
-
worry about dying because you're gonna live. Amen. Amen. Just
-
trusting Him and you will live and not die. Amen. Amen.
-
God is good. Amen. Somebody tell him thank you. Oh,
-
you can do better than that. Somebody tell him. Somebody's
-
standing on their feet and tell God thank you. You
-
know how you do when you at the game. Somebody
-
tell them, thank you. Oh it's hard when it comes
-
to God, but it's easy for me. I don't know
-
about you. They had boots on the ground yesterday. Didn't
-
nobody have no problem walking through all that mud. They
-
didn't care about the cars being stuck in the ground.
-
Some of the cars are still there because they had
-
to leave them when they left when it was over with.
-
Because the car is still stuck in the grass,
