Ain't you Jesus, He's good.
-
I thank God for all that he does. Amen, He's
-
a wonderful God. I felt so relaxed this morning when
-
I got up. I don't normally sleep a long time,
-
but for the amazing reason of God himself, I'm away.
-
When I get up, Amen, I think and praise God
-
for another opportunity to be here and to minister His word,
-
which is.
-
Truly an honor and a privilege.
-
It truly is an honor and a privilege when you
-
minister the word of God to people of God. Feeding
-
God's people is no easy task, Amen, when you are
-
connected to Him in such a way that you love
-
the Lord and his people and just as not just
-
his people, but the souls of people period. Because this
-
is what it's all about. Our commission is to win
-
the souls of people to the God. Amen. And in
-
doing so we must know what the Word of God
-
says in order that we may even win souls to God. Amen.
-
So it is a privilege in an honor to be
-
able to handle something so sacred to God, which is
-
his word. And I do give honor to God today,
-
who is the head of my life.
-
Amen.
-
I pray that he is the head of your life,
-
or why else what you even be here? Amen?
-
Come here to serve him.
-
Amen, and serve him we shall while we're here, and
-
not only while we're here. And I think a lot
-
of people get mixed up. I'm just talking today, man.
-
Just want to be clear. I'm going to probably.
-
Be in this mode through the duration here.
-
Amen.
-
Amen.
-
But the world is doing so much and even the
-
people of God have taken their focus off of him
-
until this day comes that we call Sunday, and we
-
want to come on Sunday and give him service. But
-
we don't give him service all week. I can't elaborate
-
and even show you the seriousness of this. That must
-
be more than a part of our life, not just
-
a part, but.
-
More than a part of our life.
-
Yeah, I hear people say, well, I got a job.
-
We would have a job without God.
-
I got this to take care of You wouldn't have
-
provisions to be able to take care of this and
-
that without God, because.
-
He's the provider.
-
Even to the heathen, everything that heathen has, God is
-
provided allowed it to be so a man. So it's
-
without God we're not even able. And I learned a
-
long time ago that even though some believe that they
-
don't and don't want to contest to it, you need God.
-
It's funny how when trials and tribulations come, especially strong
-
troubles to some folks never stepped in the house of God,
-
but the first thing they do is say, Lord, I
-
know you don't know who I am. I know I've
-
never prayed to you, but if you would just this time,
-
I promise you I'll do this and that day. Lie.
-
They just want something done for the most part anyway.
-
But it's funny how we know who to turn to
-
when things happen and when things are flowing so pretty
-
good in our lives as we deem it to be so.
-
But everything that glitter ain't gold. Amen. Amen.
-
So in saying all of that, let me pray, Father,
-
we thank you today for your presence in this house.
-
We thank you Lord for your presence in us.
-
We thank you for your presence always being with us
-
in the name of Jesus. We thank you that you
-
allow little lords to even come and be in such
-
a holy, holy God's presence.
-
We thank you for Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
-
This is all that you do and more that we
-
may be led back into your arms, and to worship,
-
and to walk in your ways and not our ways,
-
that we may hear those famous words at the end
-
of it all and the beginning of what the end brings.
-
Well done, good and faithful servant, We thank you, Lord.
-
We thank you that you love us more than we
-
could ever know. We thank you God that you give
-
us understanding of your word today. God, that you'll touch
-
our hearts in a different way today, as you would
-
do in different circumstances and situations, that we may be lad.
-
To go in the right direction.
-
It is a life we have claimed to have given
-
to you, and we ask that you help us continually
-
to live that life according to what pleases you. Because
-
there's a lot of us, Father God in the name
-
of Jesus, a lot of us in the body believing
-
that we supposed to show forth and please those that
-
are of the humanity of the Church and be accepted
-
in their sight, when all we's supposed to be is
-
accepted in your sight. So, Lord's a lot of us
-
are trying to live up to the expectation of other folks.
-
There are preachers who want to preach like another preacher,
-
and there are others who want to break down the
-
Word of God like someone else, when all we need
-
to do is to be like you, because that's what
-
you called us to be. Help us, Father, for a
-
lot of us have lost our minds in even our
-
ways in the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
-
I know your eyes are looking all over the world
-
today on this sacred day. That folks come because they
-
love you, and some come because it's just Sunday and
-
that's what they do robotically. But I pray today you
-
put something real in them. Lord, in the name of Jesus.
-
We're losing a great number, but you are not surprised.
-
You spoke at yourself.
-
But there are some that can be found, and some
-
that have been found can be saved and continue in
-
this gospel.
-
I pray that you strengthen him. And I pray that
-
a word will.
-
Be spoken to those who are listening over the airways,
-
that it will grab a hold of those that don't
-
know you, and they'll want to come to know you
-
because this word has pricked their heart. And those that
-
have walked away will come back God and hold on
-
to You even tighter.
-
And those that.
-
Are holding on that you're strengthen their grip, that they
-
won't let go. This is my prayer today for the
-
people of God in Jesus' name.
-
Amen in the book of Second Corinthians.
-
And we'll go to Second Corinthians from me a scripture,
-
chapter five and verse seventeen. And when you get there
-
say amen. Chapter Second Corinthians, chapter five, verse seventeen. When
-
you get there, say man, thank you. Amen. Are we
-
all there? And I get a unified amen. The Bible
-
speaks to us here in this seventeenth verse of the
-
fifth chapter of the Second Corinthians.
-
It's just therefore therefore.
-
Well some say wherefore, and some say therefore, depending on
-
what Bible you're looking.
-
At, therefore a wherefore.
-
If any man be in Christ, the word if is
-
a big word in that sentence before the comma, he
-
is a new creature. See if you It says, if
-
you're in Christ, you're a new creature. If you are
-
in Christ, you are a new creature.
-
What does that mean? You are?
-
You are a new creation? You have been You're not
-
the same anymore. You've been created new. If you are
-
in Christ, you have you are not the same as
-
you used to be. There has been a recreation of
-
who you used to be.
-
And now you're new.
-
You're not old anymore, for the old things have passed away,
-
because now you're a new creature. Whatever you did back
-
then not accounted to the new creature in you, and
-
old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
-
And in the sixth chapter of Second Corinthians, it says
-
in verse one, we then, after all of this, you've
-
been a new creature and been created, and all the
-
old things have passed away. It says we then, as
-
workers together with him beseech thank you also that you
-
receive not the grace of God in vain. For he
-
said I have heard THEE. He said, I have heard THEE.
-
And this scripture comes from Isaiah forty nine and eight.
-
Right here in Second Corinthians, chapter six and verse six.
-
This is a quote from Isaiah forty nine and eight.
-
I have heard THEE in a time accepted, and in
-
the day of salvation have our scorned THEE. That means
-
He's helped them talking to Jesus. Behold now is the
-
accepted time. Behold now is the day of salvation. Now,
-
right now, as you sat in this house today now amen,
-
And as we go on to the book of Ephesians
-
chapter four, and remembering all that we've already heard, we
-
move over to Ephesians chapter four and starting at verse
-
twenty one Ephesus chapter four and verse twenty one, the
-
Bible says, well, let me see here. Yeah, let's start
-
in verse twenty one. If so be that you have
-
heard him, and you have and have been taught by him,
-
as the truth is in Jesus, that you put off
-
concerning the formal conversations the old man, which is corrupt
-
according to the deceit for us, and be renewed in
-
the spirit of your mind.
-
And that you put and be renewed.
-
And I got the Lord just says say that again,
-
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, not
-
the naturalness of your mind, but the spirit of your mind.
-
And that you put on the new Man, which after
-
God is created in righteousness and true holiness. It says,
-
which after God, this is the new Man you're putting on,
-
which is after God, is created in righteousness and true holiness.
-
So when you put on this new Man, then you're
-
created in righteousness and true holiness. Wherefore putting away lying
-
speaking every man truth with his neighbor, for we are
-
members of one of another. Be ye angry and sin not.
-
Let not the sun go down upon your raft. Neither
-
give place to the devil. So it's telling you don't
-
give an opportunity to the devil. Let him that stole,
-
steal no more, but rather let him label working with
-
his hands and things which is.
-
Good that he may have to give him that needed.
-
So you're working honestly to in laboring to get stuff,
-
not just for yourself, but in order to be able
-
to help someone that's in need. Let no corruption, community,
-
no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth. Don't be
-
using all that profanity and back biting and all of that,
-
but that which is good to the use of the edifying,
-
because all of that other stuff don't edify the body
-
of Christ. Back biting, cursing, using profanity, because you want
-
to speak that which is good to the use of
-
the edifying, that it may menace the grace unto the hears,
-
and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are.
-
Sealed until the day of redemption.
-
Let all bitterness, all of it, and writhe and anger
-
and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you
-
with all malice. Why because you've been created new and
-
in God. And be ye kind, kind one to another,
-
tender hearted forgiving one another. Why even as God, for
-
Christ's sake had forgiven you, can the church say, man,
-
you can be seated in the house of the Lord.
-
And this thought of mine would come from verse twenty
-
four of the fourth chapter of Ephesians, where it says,
-
and that ye put on the new Man, which after
-
God is created in righteousness and true holiness. And I'm
-
hinging on holiness. And the thought that I have is
-
holiness is your witness. Holiness is your witness, Amen. Holiness
-
is your witness to the world. Holiness is not held up.
-
And it's not hard to do in this controlled setting.
-
It's not folks come into the house of God. You've
-
heard me say many times that people. A lot of
-
people are idoltrous, not adulterous, adolterrous people because they put
-
on a kind of character of being good only because
-
they know better than the act of food in the
-
house of God, even though some still do, but they
-
do no better.
-
Amen.
-
So it's not hard to uphold in this control setting
-
an act of holiness. But what happens outside of here?
-
What is holiness to us when we are outside of
-
this house? Because the sum is nothing when they're inside
-
the house. But the those that are claiming to have
-
the Holy Spirit, which means there should be holiness in
-
us because we have that spirit, Amen, And because we
-
are a new creature in Christ. Holiness is our witness, Amen.
-
But how often do we remember that on a daily basis?
-
This is the problem. This is a problem in the
-
House of God today. We're not upholding holiness. Holiness is
-
not a clapping and a praising and a stomping and
-
a speaking in tongues. Holiness is a lifestyle. It's the
-
way you live before God. I said God, not ma'am.
-
We got to quit being concerned about what people think
-
about us, how they see us, and live like God
-
would have us to meal before him. We don't live
-
this life no more before men. We used to, But
-
when we gave our life to God, we live our
-
life in the presence of His. Okay, that's what Jesus did,
-
and if you got Jesus in you, that's what you
-
should do, every one of us all over the world,
-
not in just in this house, but even those that
-
are listening. Our lives are to be lived according to
-
the lifestyle that is pleasing to God.
-
I don't care what Sister Bobo or Johnny be say.
-
It's God that I'm concerned about how I live my life.
-
People can think of any in all kinds of ways
-
you should live, and never live their life the way
-
they want you to live yours. Many people in the
-
church are confused about holiness. See, it don't take much
-
for us to pet our feet, clap our hands. It's
-
a good thing because praise is always a good thing
-
to God. But some of us won't even give God
-
the praise. Some of us won't even take the commandment
-
of give God a hand clap of praise. Some of
-
us just sit there, walk around like they never heard it.
-
Why some missing, some.
-
Missing, We don't even.
-
I could be in public and somebody can say me, well,
-
praise the Lord.
-
I say hallelujah.
-
But I was teaching that thing Deecon, because I.
-
Would tell people sometimes praise the Lord.
-
They say praise the Lord. I said, praise the Lord.
-
They'll say praise the Lord. I said, I said, hallelujah.
-
Somebody gotta do it, even you a commandment you give me.
-
Woman, ain't nobody praising him? Are we listening? I we're
-
just in the a formable conditioning of of of what
-
you tradition and custom. Because I said praise the Lord,
-
you think it's applicable for you to say it too.
-
Now I'm telling you to do something. Whoa simple enough,
-
they say for a child to understand. Ah, Lord, thank you.
-
It's all right to give him praise. But there are
-
those who know to do it and still won't do it.
-
But God declares and decrees that we walk in holiness.
-
It's a decree of his. It's a commandment of his.
-
Because he said in his words that I am holy.
-
He letting you know so be ye Allo, so holy?
-
How you got saved. Therefore, if any man be in Christ,
-
he is a new creature.
-
All things have passed away.
-
And behold, pay attention, take hold, give directive to all things.
-
I become new, Amen, somebody. In other words, when all
-
things become new, there got to be a difference in
-
your walk of Christian life has to be a difference.
-
So since you have become a Christian, I'm saying it
-
in the terms of you said so, and those that
-
are listening said so because I asked you you're Christian.
-
I'm a Christian? You said so. I didn't say you
-
was one.
-
I don't really call people Christians because I don't know.
-
I don't really call I don't really save people are
-
saved if I don't know. I don't call everybody a
-
brother in the sense of they are a brother.
-
If you can understand what I'm saying.
-
Hey, man, So since you have become a Christian and
-
say you are, you say you saved, and you have
-
acknowledged that Jesus Christ is the head of your life.
-
You know, I've seen so many programs where people get
-
up and say, I think God for this, Jesus Christ, God,
-
who is the head of my life? And then when
-
they get home they smoking, you black so and so
-
they drinking. When is he the head of your life
-
when you in the temple, Because if he's the head
-
of your life, that means he's the leader of your life.
-
That means he's the lord of your life. You can't
-
call him a lord if he's not really lord. Most
-
folks call him lord and don't know what that means.
-
I'm just talking to you today and you get excited.
-
Good if you don't not good cause the word of
-
God should excite you no matter how come. But since
-
you say you saved, and you have acknowledged that Jesus
-
Christ is the head of your life, there are some
-
things that go along with your saved. You're saved, and
-
holiness is one of them things. When you say you saved,
-
there's some things that go along with say and you saved.
-
You can say you saved, but if these things don't
-
follow behind what you've said, I have a hard time believing.
-
You really saved.
-
Because holiness is one of the things that go along
-
with not just saying you saved, but being saved and
-
holiness in case you didn't know, and some folks don't
-
know that holiness cost Yes, holiness cost you something, and
-
sometimes what it costs you is where you go. It's
-
going to cost you where you go. There's some places
-
you shouldn't go if you save and you hold you
-
shouldn't be in the strip club. You shouldn't be in
-
the liquor store. See see I went in the liquor
-
store because you know that's where they sell those.
-
Extra long snickers.
-
But the dollar store next to the liquor store. Why
-
ain't you going there and get one, and it's.
-
Cheaper than the liquor store.
-
You didn't go in the dollar store because you're lying.
-
Jiff Bean was calling you in the liquor store. Vocal
-
was calling you in the liquor store.
-
Jack Daniels was standing on the counter hollering at you.
-
You didn't even see the box of Snickers because it
-
was right there when you first walked in, and you
-
walked all the way up to the counter. Holiness will
-
cost you something. It will cost you where you go.
-
Here's one.
-
We don't like this one. We don't like this one.
-
Oh, say we don't like this one. Come on, work
-
with me. Say we don't like this one. Say we
-
don't like this one. Everybody, we don't like this one. Yeah.
-
Obedience is better than sacrifice, especially when a man of
-
God tell you to say something anyway.
-
It will cost you who you run with. Let you
-
think about that one.
-
That's a sea life from Psalms. It will cost you
-
who you run with. But that's my girl. What does
-
light have to do with darkness? It will cost you
-
what you do. And there are some things that entail holiness.
-
It is a putting off and a putting on so
-
you must understand that there are some things, if not
-
a whole lot of things in your life that you're
-
going to have to put off to put this on.
-
It's not a question of what to put on. It's
-
just a question of what you have to put off.
-
And you are the only one that can answer that question.
-
I can't tell you who to run with. I can't
-
tell you where to go. You have to have enough
-
holiness in your mind, because you say, you say to
-
know what's right and what's wrong. Amen, So there are
-
some things you have to put off, and there are
-
some things you must put on. You know who you
-
should hang with and who you shouldn't. They'll tell on themselves.
-
You gonna have to ask them. You gonna have to say,
-
look at Jimmy, Uh, I'm wondering if I should hang
-
out with you or not.
-
You ain't got to ask Jimmy.
-
When you see Jimmy lying is stealing, and you see
-
Jimmy Foanny Katon and committing, you see Jimmy committing all
-
kind of evenness, you don't have the question should you
-
be hanging out with Jimmy?
-
You see Jimmy lying all the time, You ain't got a.
-
Question should you be hanging out with him when you
-
see Jimmy disrespecting his parents. You ain't got a question
-
whether or not you should hang out with Jimmy.
-
You ain't got to question that.
-
See, if you got the Holy Ghost, which will cause
-
you to be holy, the Holy Ghost.
-
Gonna tell you. It's just a matter of if you gonna listen.
-
See, the Holy Ghost tell us a lot of stuff
-
to do and what not to do, with to say,
-
and what not to say.
-
But the Holy Ghost.
-
Does not go against our will. It just tells us
-
it's up to us to do it and not do it.
-
It's not up to the Holy Ghost. It's only up
-
to the Holy Ghost to do his job, not ours. Amen.
-
So you're gonna have to put off some things, and
-
you're gonna have to put on some things. And it
-
ain't rocket science who you're supposed to be with or
-
be around, because the Bible has a whole lot of
-
answers for you on that be not unequally yoke with unbelievers. Amen.
-
What does light have to do with darkness?
-
Amen? It got a lot of answers for you. It
-
ain't like you can be ignorant of the fact that
-
what the way you should be living according to this book.
-
When you say you holy.
-
Now answers in here, houser, how am I supposed to live?
-
Holy? It's in here. It's in here. I can't tell you.
-
I can tell you what it is says. It is
-
up to you believe what I say that and make
-
and know that I'm telling you what it actually says
-
if you want to trust me. But if you want
-
to trust God, you better get it out of here
-
and then you'll know. Oh, that's exactly what he said. Okay,
-
he trustworthy. Let us look at chapter six and verse one.
-
Paul here begins to admonish the people when he says
-
where then where it says we then we then as workers.
-
That means you're working on time together. We're doing it
-
together with him. Beseech you also that you receive not
-
the grace of God in vain. Paul here is saying,
-
I'm begging you, I'm begging of you not to receive
-
it in vain. And if you pay attention, that's where
-
we all are in this day and time.
-
We are receiving the grace of God in vain.
-
The church, most of the church has received the grace
-
of God in Vain. A lot of preachers have whatever
-
title they hold. Like I said, we all have titles.
-
The bishop, and the bishop ain't the only woman the
-
title the evangelist, the preacher, of the teacher, the apostles.
-
They ain't done only with titles. You got a title too.
-
Your title is I'm a child of God. And that's
-
a title you have to live up to. That's a
-
five folk ministry. Title is a title that they have
-
to live up to as an ackmoonishment and the edification,
-
edifying of the Church of God.
-
And you have to live up to your title.
-
As the same way as the edification and edifying the
-
House of God and Jesus Christ. Why because when you
-
call yourself that, that means that you are supposed to
-
be edifying the House of God and not tearing it
-
down and not lying about it and not being deceitful
-
about it for your own selfish desires.
-
Amen.
-
So here the church has perceived the grace of God
-
in Vain, because you got preaches up in ribbing people
-
because they have taken the grace of God in vain.
-
People lying to the people, because they have received the
-
grace of God in Vain, and then guess what happens
-
You take that very lie to the streets and to
-
other people because you have not looked in the Word
-
of God and studied and learned it for yourself. This
-
is where the church is today because people are trying
-
to use God's grace to cover any and everything that
-
they want to do. God has given us grace, and
-
we're saved by grace through faith, not through the works.
-
And Paul here in this scripture says we should not
-
receive the grace in vain. In other words, it's the
-
unmerited favor of God. We didn't deserve it. We didn't
-
deserve his favor. We did not deserve his favor. We
-
did not even I could not even earn his favor.
-
And you couldn't even pay for it. But because God
-
has given it to you, to us, it was not
-
designed for us to operate any kind of way we
-
want to just because God has given us grace. Grace
-
cost you something. Oh yeah, we think we just were
-
free to go. But the life for Christ is gonna
-
cost you. See say ain't gonna suffer. It is a
-
suffering when you cannot hang out with the same people
-
you used to enjoy hanging out with knowing that they're
-
not in the body of Christ, knowing that they are
-
still doing the evil things you used to do with them,
-
knowing that it does not look like they're trying to
-
come out of them ways.
-
And if you are in their.
-
Uh space, you should be telling them what happened to you.
-
Because they're questioning it.
-
Deeck, why you don't hang out? What is no more? Man?
-
I don't roll like that no more? That's why, well,
-
why you don't roll like that no more? Man?
-
I got Jesus, Man, Jesus man.
-
I want to live and not die. Man, Jesus, I
-
want to go to heaven now. I can't go to
-
heaven the way I used to live, y'all. I ain't
-
going to heaven the whay y'all living. Y'all scared to
-
tell folks that y'all ain't going to heaven where y'all living, y'all,
-
don't them folks gonna get mad And.
-
They don't get upset.
-
That's because you're concerned about what they'll think about you.
-
And you ought to be living your life in the
-
sight of God, not in their sights. I don't care
-
what they say. I tell folks, I'll tell you don't
-
go to hell. You don't change your ways, You're gonna
-
go to hell. If you don't change your way, you
-
can't say I'm gonna go to Hell. I said, an't.
-
And see they get so upset they ain't even heard
-
what you said. I ain't saying you was going to hell.
-
I say, if you don't change your ways, you're going
-
to hell. If you don't receive Jesus Christ, your Lord
-
and save it, you're going to hell. If I change
-
the way I'm living now, I'm gonna go too. I
-
ain't gonna go with you, but I'm gonna go to.
-
Grace costs something.
-
You know why, Because it wasn't you or me that
-
hung on that cross. Mm hmm. It wasn't you and
-
me that hung on that cross. It wasn't you and
-
me that hung on the cross. To save anybody, I
-
keep tell him for a quick run around to why
-
I'm trying to save him. You can't save him. I'm
-
trying to save her.
-
You can't save her.
-
You can lead her to salvation, but you can't save her.
-
You can't save him. And if you keep trying too long,
-
you gonna fall short.
-
You know how wise God is?
-
Does anybody know just how wise God is? God God
-
so wise He tells you to shake the dust off,
-
because if you don't shake the dust off, the Word
-
of God said, you don't wind up like them, you
-
gonna get so aggravated. Then you're gonna start You're gonna
-
get so aggravated and upset, you gonna start sitting. You
-
ought to be just happy to say you need Jesus.
-
You can make him the lord in your life. You
-
can have him to save your soul so you don't
-
make it to hell, and you'll make it to heaven
-
because Hell wasn't you no way.
-
I don't know why you want to go.
-
And then they'll say, get out of my face. Who
-
makes you think you going to heaven? Will you have
-
a blessed day? You ain't got set there and argue
-
with them, you ain't got set there, and let them
-
upset you, because that's what you're gonna do. They can't
-
upset you. You're gonna let them upset you. Because some
-
people get so frustrated because you're not listening to my truth.
-
Well it ain't your truth, it's God's.
-
And once you told it to him, you have been
-
relinquished from your your job. You've been relinkish for what
-
God from your mission. You have done what you're supposed
-
to do. Your holiness has witnessed. Don't mean they'll receive it,
-
the Bible said. The Bible says, just because you show
-
people mercy, and don't mean they're gonna show you mercy.
-
And we get confused about that. But I was good
-
to him.
-
I did everything him. I'm the one that helped her
-
to get this and help her get that. See, we
-
should never get to that point because we're now allowing
-
our good to be evil. Spoken up, don't let your
-
good be evil. Unless you didn't do it in good intentions,
-
then your right to say what you're saying. But if
-
you did it in good intentions, as holiness what cause
-
you to do, then you don't have the right to
-
go that way. But if you didn't, hey, you can
-
go that way.
-
You can go that way.
-
Grace cost you're something. The blood stained cross is there
-
because Jesus. It is there because the grace of God.
-
It's because God showed us unmerited favor and allowed Jesus
-
Chriss Christ.
-
To go to the cross.
-
The blood stained is the grace and mercy of God
-
for each and every one of us. Amen, Our Lord
-
and our Savior, Our Lord. You notice it's our Lord
-
and our savior. If he's just your savior, then you're missing.
-
If he's just, he can't even be your lord unless
-
he is your savior.
-
Say, don't let me go in that way.
-
But our Lord and our Savior, who shed his blood,
-
not our blood, not goat's blood, does.
-
Bullocks because God was set up with that.
-
That was a temporary the lamb of God shed his
-
blood that we might be saved.
-
If somebody say, if.
-
We are saved at all, he shed his blood that
-
we might be saved.
-
Listen, that we might be saved.
-
What he's saying.
-
Why he's saying that, Preacher, Well, I'm glad y'all asked.
-
That we might be saved. And I say that because
-
we're not going to be saved until we endure to
-
the end in salvation. I ain't understand that. Okay, when
-
Jesus come back for you, you have to be found
-
working toward being saved. You cannot be on the left
-
when he comes back. You have to, like Paul says,
-
when he comes back for you, you have to be
-
found in the mode of striving for the righteousness of God.
-
You can't be caught hidden and missing that you might
-
be saved. Are you with me? He gotta catch you
-
in the mold of living right before him. He see
-
him coming. You get hold on. I was just using
-
fifteen words of a fantity. Let me repent. No, no, no.
-
Not gonna happen. You have to be striving when he comes.
-
You'll never be.
-
Perfect because he said he's gonna come for the perfect church.
-
He's the one that's gonna make you perfect.
-
That's when you get that new body.
-
But you have to be found striving for perfection. You're
-
striving to be perfect. Some things you're gonna conquer. I'm perfect.
-
I don't use the fantity no more. I'm perfect. I
-
don't drink no more. I'm perfect. I don't smoke dope
-
no more. I'm perfect.
-
I don't use crack no more.
-
I don't use rock cocaine no more.
-
I'm perfect. I don't hate these folks no more. Taken
-
love folks like an Y too. Say ain't perfect there yet,
-
But I'm.
-
Striving to love folks like an R two.
-
I didn't say it perfect right there.
-
See see something you ain't You ain't here, And that's
-
why you gotta be found striving for perfection. When it
-
comes that you might be saved. If we are saved
-
at all, a whole lot of people walk around saying
-
they saved.
-
They ain't saved. They ain't a bit more saved.
-
Than the man in the moon.
-
Well, I just need deliveries.
-
Okay, you've been like this for ten years. When's it
-
gonna come? We ain't gonna come as the as the
-
sorry indivisual. Steve Harvey always says, he got me.
-
I'm just under construction.
-
Well I'm trying to understand something. That house you bought
-
from Tyler Perry was under construction.
-
You put it under construction.
-
But you got done with it in a period of time.
-
When you gonna be built, you built. The house is
-
done with. Construction is finished. When you gonna start being built,
-
you ain't even pulled your foundation yet. You got a
-
smoking room in your house, got a you got a
-
a what's that called a room for a temperature room
-
for all the wine and alcohol.
-
You got in your house.
-
See, just because you say you saved, your holiness is
-
gonna witness if you got any holiness at all. Hey man,
-
if you're saved it all and so Paul here is
-
telling us we are not received the grace in vain.
-
The grace in vain will It's easy to.
-
Put on a show. Whole lot of folk put on
-
a show. They dance from that back door alway across here.
-
They'll run all the way around the church, bust through
-
the door, run around the building, come back, sweating, fall
-
out on the floor, speak in tongues. It's easy to
-
put on the show, and it's easy to act like
-
something that you're not. A whole lot of folks. Do
-
you ever seen them imitators? They can imitate almost anybody,
-
and if you wasn't looking at them, you would think
-
who you were actually speaking to. Because it's easy to
-
have a gift to do it. It's easy for us
-
to act like somebody else. A lot of us be
-
trying to act like somebody else and lose our own
-
self acting like them. Never know who we are. So
-
many people in the House of God that mastered up.
-
Can y'all see my face?
-
For what y'all.
-
See is who are claiming to be?
-
But this is who I really am. So many people
-
are masked up. A whole lot of these folks down
-
out the poor pits. They massed up to the heart,
-
They massed up to the one hundred percent. They massed
-
up like they are a true man of God. But
-
so many in the church today are massed up. See,
-
because this goes a whole lot further than we think. See,
-
holiness goes a whole lot further than we think. It
-
is concerning service in the House of God.
-
When you're in the House.
-
Of God on service day like Sunday, the holiness goes
-
a whole lot further than the service in the church.
-
And that causes a service to actually be holy.
-
You got people up.
-
In the choir singing and mad at one another. Holiness
-
is short at that point. People sitting there talking about
-
somebody else and what they got on. They sitting on
-
this side of the church, looking on this side of
-
the church. Folks back on their phone, texting and texting
-
people back and forth, Folks back their sleep. Holiness goes
-
a whole lot further that what we call holiness in
-
service in church. Amen, Holiness is a lifestyle. It's not
-
how loud you praise, or how high you jump, or
-
what you do when your feet hit the ground. Holiness
-
is living a god fearing life before the Lord.
-
Not the people. They will see your holiness.
-
The people will see your life, But it's really to
-
be lived before the Lord, our Lord, and save with
-
Jesus Christ. Do you not know His approval is all
-
you need. His approval is all you need. I don't
-
even need my wife's approval, she don't need mine. All
-
the approval we need for the life that we live
-
is what God approves of.
-
That's all approval that we need. That's all you know
-
why I'm glad?
-
Yeah, because people are always going to have their own
-
thoughts of how you should live and what it takes
-
and don't take. They gonna have that thought for you.
-
They know what it take and don't think for you
-
when they don't even know what it takes and don't
-
take for themselves. They know what it takes and don't
-
think and don't take you, but they don't know if
-
I themselves, They know what it takes for you. They
-
know what you need to do, even when they don't
-
know what they need to do. I call those folks
-
living two lives but ain't even living none. They know
-
and they'll tell you sometime. He don't take all that.
-
You ain't gotta be in church every Sunday, Lisa, Come
-
on now, you ain't.
-
Got to be in church every Sunday. It don't take
-
all that. We're finna come over.
-
You're talking about you're gonna read your Bible. Come on now,
-
you can read your Bible anytime. They don't take all that.
-
You ain't got me that holy.
-
People say that you think you so holy? No, I
-
know it. I know it.
-
All of my actions.
-
Hold it now.
-
Sometimes I slip fall, but I get up and shake
-
the dust off, get back in the mood. Oh yeah,
-
because I live in a fallible body. That's not an
-
excuse even it's just a fact. They'll tell you don't
-
take all of that, But it does take all of
-
that and more in this days and time, because the
-
days and times are seriously evil, and.
-
Holding on the holiness.
-
In this dispensation of time looks like you need to
-
have a gorilla grip.
-
To keep it.
-
Why because so much is being thrown at God's people
-
from the world. And when the world threw trumpet us,
-
a lot of the people of God are scared abt
-
their social security, They food stamps, they're living and living
-
their living life. Uh uh uh covid through death at
-
the people of God.
-
So much is being thrown at us.
-
We have to hold on no matter what's being thrown
-
at us to holiness. It don't matter death being thrown
-
at us, children acting of food being thrown at us.
-
Why isn't her husband cutting up been thrown at us?
-
Our friends won't come into the light being thrown at us,
-
prices rising being thrown at us. But we're gonna do now. God,
-
you gonna do what you've been doing. You're gonna trust me.
-
We'm gonna do now.
-
Gas fight at us.
-
You're gonna do what you've been doing, trust me. But
-
bread ten fifty nine, you're gonna do what you've been doing.
-
So much being thrown at God's people from the world
-
and the church itself, trying to tear down your holiness,
-
trying to turn you around from holy.
-
Living the church, the church.
-
That's why Jamar Brian got up in there and stood
-
before that congregation of people, thousands of them, and said,
-
Jesus Christ, an sent of his life, what's wrong trying
-
to tear down your holiness?
-
He's a liar and a heathen.
-
God said in the book of Psalms, and also in
-
the Second Corinthians, chapter six and verse two, where he says,
-
for he said, I have heard THEE in a time accepted,
-
and in the day of salvation have our scorn. The
-
scorn means that he helped THEE.
-
Behold now is the accepted Now.
-
Is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.
-
And when you look in Second Corinthians, I mean Psalms. Rather,
-
that was second crinthis Psalms chapter.
-
Two, way back in Psalms.
-
We heard it right there in the New Testament, but
-
way back in Psalms chapter two and verse eight. The
-
Lord speak to us here saying, if I find it,
-
he says, ask of me, and I will, and I
-
shall give thee the heathen.
-
I'm gonna give you.
-
The gentiles the way he said, ask of me, and
-
I should give you the heathen. The nations are the
-
gentiles for thy inheritance, and the out of most parts
-
of the earth for thy possession. So you can't let
-
the Church turn you around. Because God said to Jesus
-
that he has heard his prayer for the loss of
-
this world at a time at a time, and this
-
world is at a loss right now, at a time
-
where God was showing his mercy, and at a time
-
where salvation should be extended to the world, and I
-
scorned them. He has sustained Jesus to make salvation known
-
at an acceptable time, and that time is now right now,
-
because Jesus has already come. So now there's the time
-
for salvation and holy living. Right now today starts. It's
-
a new day, and it starts right now. Thus the
-
Second Corinthians, chapter six and verse one through ten, we then,
-
as workers together with him, beseech you also that you
-
receive not the grace of God in vain. For he said,
-
I have heard THEE in the time accepted in the
-
day of salvation, have I scorned thee? Behold now is
-
the acceptable time. Behold now is the day of salvation.
-
Given no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed,
-
but in all things, approving ourselves as ministers of God
-
in much patience and affections and necessity in distress. Now,
-
he says, now is the time in strikes and imprisonments,
-
in termals, in labels, in watchings, in fastings. I gotta
-
see lad right there, we won't stop eating, but parness,
-
by knowledge, by lone, suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost,
-
by love unformed, by the word of Truth, by the
-
power of God, by the armor of rightingness, on the
-
right hand and on the left, by honor and dishonor,
-
by evil report and good report, as thisceivers, and yet truth,
-
as unknown and yet well known, as dying. And behold,
-
we live as chesting and not killed, as sorrowful, yet
-
always rejoicing, as poor, yet making many rich, as having nothing,
-
and yet possessing all things. Amen. And when you look
-
at that, there are twenty seven characters, divided in the
-
three groups of nine each.
-
In verse four and.
-
Five, his thoughts are on his trials. Amen. On verses
-
six and seven there are on his divine provision, and
-
on in verses eight and ten they're on his victory
-
over circumstances. You can't allow nothing to get in the
-
way of your holiness and your holy living towards God.
-
Nothing.
-
Everybody know what, nothing is right. So if you.
-
Won't, and that's what it has to happen. You have
-
to want.
-
I want you to. But it ain't my wonting that's
-
gonna work. My wonting won't work. It's my work. My
-
wonting may help to push you towards wanting to but
-
it's gonna work when you want to. Let me say
-
it like that. So, if you want to live holy,
-
it's gonna.
-
Cost you something.
-
So whatever it is, whatever it is, or whoever it
-
is sometimes it ain't always or what sometimes as a
-
who if it's in the way, you're gonna have to
-
let it go, if it's affecting your holy living. If
-
it's in the way and affecting your holy living, you're
-
gonna have to let it go. Would you not rather
-
let it go and hold on to Jesus or would
-
you rather let Jesus go and hold on the worst
-
not causing you not to be holy. That's a question
-
you have to ask for yourself. You have to ask
-
yourself and answer it yourself. See God, as I said
-
before he saw us, he's so wonderful, he's so righteous
-
and so right, and he's so good. And he sold,
-
he sold to the fact that he doesn't want us
-
to be complicated. He didn't just say live holy. He
-
didn't just say live holy. It's like me saying they're
-
go to bike ride it. No, there go to bike,
-
let me show you how to ride it. There, go
-
to bike, let me show you how to ride it.
-
He didn't just.
-
Say live holy without telling you how.
-
He told you to live holy?
-
And he told you how to live holy? How he
-
tell us? Well, y'all, I'm just into it today. Y'all
-
want to know?
-
All right?
-
Then? Okay, let me get with it. Y'all want to
-
y'all want to know how he told you? Well, if
-
you look at the Book of Hepees in chapter four, amen, and.
-
Let me see where I'm gonna start, and you start
-
with verse let's see.
-
Twenty one. Okay, Yeah, let's start in verse twenty one.
-
It says, if so be that.
-
This is the way I want to start. Yeah, let's
-
start right now. If so be that you have heard him? Okay, now,
-
y'all raise your hand. If you heard him work with me?
-
You got a hand. Don't you raise your hand? If
-
you heard it so about Jesus, not me.
-
Have you heard it? You've heard him before? Right?
-
Okay, then that's why I said it's now. Don't raise
-
your hand if you ain't heard him, because it said
-
if that's the condition, have you heard him, you can
-
raise your hand.
-
You haven't heard him. Don't raise your hand.
-
If so be that you have heard him and have
-
been taught by him, as the truth is in him.
-
How many people know that, how many people have heard
-
and have been taught the truth by him? Raise your hand? Okay,
-
we move on now, because he's telling you how to
-
be holy, hey man, So I'm making sure that you
-
heard it. So that means if you're not living holy,
-
at least you heard it. So he says that you
-
put off concerning the former conversation m hm, which means
-
the way you used to act. It ain't so much
-
as what you're speaking, it's your conduct. So put off,
-
So that you put off the concerning the former conversation
-
the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceit
-
for lust, not lust with an s.
-
There's a whole lot of it, and.
-
Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that
-
you put on the new Man, which after God is
-
created in righteousness and true holiness. As I'm reading it,
-
some of y'all gonna remember I read this in the beginning,
-
wherefore putting away lying speaking every man truth with his neighbor,
-
For we are members one of another, y'all heard it
-
the first time, I said, but see second sometime the second.
-
Time you hear it real good?
-
Be ye angry? Are you listening and saying not? Are
-
you listening be angry and saying not? God just say
-
you couldn't be angry. He just said. If you're money angry,
-
don't sin. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
-
That means if you do that, you're done held onto
-
that anger too long, Because if you do. Verse twenty
-
seven says, need to give place to the devil. See
-
when you hold on to it's too long. You're giving
-
the devil opportunity to work you over.
-
Let him just.
-
Stole, steal no more, but rather let him label work
-
with his hands the thing which is good that he
-
may have to give to him that needed. Let no
-
corrupt communication proceed out of the mouth, but that which
-
is good to the use of edifying, that it may
-
minister grace unto the hearers, and grieve not the Holy
-
Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed until the day
-
of redemption, that all bitterness and wrath, and anger, and
-
clamor and evil speaking be put away from you with
-
all malice, and be ye kind one to another tender hearted,
-
not hard hearted, but tender hearted, forgiving one another, even
-
as God, for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. And when
-
you forget to forgive, folks, remember when you forget, remember.
-
That God forgave you when you forget. Amen.
-
So the Bible here in these verses are giving us
-
a guideline as how to lay aside the old man. Amen.
-
That's what it's doing. These verses addressed the life we
-
should be living. Putting off the old man, to renounce
-
your pre conversion life and sin, and be renewed in
-
your mind, to be constantly charging, constantly being brought more
-
and more in line with God's viewpoint. Putting on the
-
new man, assuming new character, new nature, new conduct, life
-
and conversion, always constantly being reminded of the holiness that
-
your life must witness. Amen. And God gave us particular
-
guidelines as how the old man can be laid aside,
-
and how the new man can be assumed in our
-
daily living, not just today, in our daily living. Amen.
-
Five things he told us here in our daily living, Aymen.
-
He tells us the guidelines of how to lay aside
-
the old man Verse twenty two, and and how.
-
The new man can be assumed in daily living. In
-
verse twenty five, it.
-
Gives us five sins to be discarded and the virtue
-
that are given to replace them, and the motive for
-
such an exchange. The virtue is the excellence that we're
-
supposed to take on the new man.
-
That's virtue.
-
So it gives us five sins to be discarded, get
-
rid of them, and then tells us to put on virtue,
-
which is excellence, hey man, and.
-
Then the motive for such a change.
-
Let me help you, and then I'm done. Lying is
-
to be replaced by truth telling, since Christians are fellow members.
-
That's Verse twenty five.
-
Sinful anger is to.
-
Be replaced by righteous indignation that the devil may not
-
be given opportunity. Verse twenty six and twenty seven. Theft
-
is to be replaced by honest work in order that
-
one may have the means to meet the needs of others.
-
Verse twenty eight. Foul language profanity is to be replaced
-
by gracious speech that may that your speech may edify amen,
-
not tear down, but build up and edify others.
-
And not grieve the spirit of God.
-
Because when you use sanity and when you use speech
-
that is not gracious to God, you grieve the spirit
-
of God. Verse twenty nine and thirty. Resentment and raft
-
are to be given way to kindness and forgiveness since
-
God has forgiven us. Amen. Verse thirty one and thirty two.
-
These five things God has given us in these verses
-
is a guideline to the witness of the holiness that's
-
in you.
-
Amen.
-
We thank God today for his guidance. His guidance will
-
rebuke us at times, and rebuke is not always favorable,
-
but it's always helpful.
-
When God does it.
-
Hey, man, it wasn't favorable when Peter did it to Jesus,
-
but it's favorable when God does it to us.
-
Peter had lost.
-
His mind because the mind of Peter was not working.
-
That's why Jesus said, even though we came out of
-
his mouth, he said, get thee behind me, Satan, because
-
Peter was being used. His mouth and his tongue was
-
being used by the devil, just like yours been using.
-
You cussing people.
-
Out, align on people, a backpiping on people, talking bad
-
about people. Your mouth being used by the devil, just
-
like Peter.
-
Amen.
-
So, Holiness, it's not your shouting it's not your coming
-
to church. It's not your speaking in tongues. It's not
-
your quote scriptures. It's not your.
-
Reading the Word or somebody.
-
It's not your it's not your dancing around in here.
-
Holiness is your witness, which is a lifestyle that's done.
-
On a daily basis. Amen. Amen. Give God a hand
-
clap of praise.
-
Amen, we thank God for that message. May be something
-
that God gave me that touched one or two of you,
-
if not all of you. I do pray, but touch
-
me because it continues to remind me that my life
-
is to be lived before Him, and it encourages me
-
to not care so much about what people say and
-
think about me.
-
Amen.
-
What matters is what I do for the Lord. It
-
all falls in place.
-
Amen.
-
If you live your life wholly before God, people will
-
see it. You don't need no sign on your car,
-
a shirt that blinks on your back.
-
You don't need none of that.
-
You don't need to conform to the way they're acting
-
because they don't like the way you are. The truth
-
of the matter is they really want to be like you. No,
-
I mean they want to be They want to be
-
like you in a sense that they want to quit
-
the mess they in. A lot of people won't to
-
quit the mess they in, but they don't know how
-
to do it. And a lot of people don't know
-
how to act. And they take it. They take they
-
take their jealousy out on you. They jealous of though
-
that you so that you live in your life right
-
and they in a mess. And then they like it
-
when they like it when they see you going through
-
trials and tribulations.
-
God, but God gonna bring ye out.
-
Then when they see you again, you're out of it
-
looking brighter than ever. Now they even matter.
-
Mhm. But God, hey, man, let us stand, we do.
-
Thank God for his word.
-
Today. Man, let us pray.
-
Father, we come again before the Throne of Grace, thanking
-
and praising you God for all that you do for us.
-
Thank you, God, help us to always live our life
-
wholly on tode that our witness would be true, and
-
that our witness would edify your house and the Gospel
-
of Jesus Christ, and that our witness may touch someone
-
to turn their life around. In the name of Jesus Christ. Now, God,
-
I ask you right now in the name of Jesus,
-
as that servant, knowing that you hear me when I
-

-
here among us today, God that are having some issues
-
in their body, in their mind, in the relationship, whatever
-

-
one to go to. So we coming to you right now,

because you the one that allows what is to be
-
allowed in our lives. You the one that help us

-
healer of our lives and of our bodies. So we
-

-
to our toes. Bless our families. Touch those that are
-
not saved. Help us delve a holy life before them

-
their lives. In the name of Jesus Christ and Lord,
-
