  1. Another opportunity to get it right before God. Amen.

  2. God was gracious and merciful and brought us on to

  3. another day, watched over us. We slept, woke us up

  4. this morning in our right mind. We understand are many

  5. people that didn't wake up in their right man. We

  6. should not take it for granted that we woke up

  7. in our right mind. I heard somebody say today, some

  8. people go to sleep one person and wake up another

  9. one out of their mind. But thank God, we woke

  10. up in our right mind, Amen, and we were able

  11. to dress ourselves. We were able to get ourselves together

  12. to come to the House of the Lord.

  13. Amen.

  14. With God on our mind, and with God's grace and

  15. mercy and his divine protection.

  16. As we travel the streets.

  17. In the highways to get here, a man, we do

  18. think and praise God for that as always saved. It's

  19. not automatic when you leave your house you're gonna get

  20. where you're going. But because of God's grace and mercy,

  21. we make it to where we go. Man, nothing of ourselves.

  22. So we give God the honor and the praise that's

  23. do unto him this day in the name of Jesus Christ.

  24. But thank God for who is the head of my life,

  25. leading and guiding me in all righteousness of His word. Amen,

  26. even when my mind choose to go in another direction.

  27. I thank him for his quickening spirit, the Holy Spirit.

  28. Amen.

  29. Realizing and knowing that I'm one hundred percent human and

  30. I'm one hundred percent spirit. But I take no excuse

  31. for the one hundred percent human.

  32. Amen.

  33. Knowing my rights and knowing my wrongs, as we all

  34. should know, we have a choice to make.

  35. In the choice of ours. God has given us what

  36. to do.

  37. It's up to us to do it, Amen, and we

  38. should not compromise the word of God. Stay strong in

  39. the faith, Stay strong in the word of God. God

  40. will continue always to strengthen us if we allow him.

  41. Amen. Amen, don't come out of magica.

  42. We have to allow God. We have to have a

  43. hunger for it to do what God will is at

  44. all times. Amen, not compromising at any time. Let us

  45. let us pray. Father, We want to thank you for

  46. this time. Truly is a privilege and honor to be

  47. in the presence of You, Lord, who is our Lord

  48. and Savior. Not just our savior, God, but You're our Lord.

  49. We are following you, Father, God, your Lord over our lives.

  50. You direct our path, Your Lord over us, You Lord

  51. over us God, in the name of Jesus Christ. You

  52. direct thy path. God, You tell us in which way

  53. to go. It's our obedience towards You that we seek

  54. at all times. In the name of Jesus. Thank you God,

  55. Thank you for your word this morning that shall feed

  56. our spirit and our old that we'll prosper even as

  57. our soul prospers. In the name of Jesus Christ. Continue

  58. to strengthen us in these last in evil times. Continue

  59. God to put in place that what your will is

  60. to do, and help us to stay focused. Stay focused

  61. on You and not be deterred by what the world

  62. is doing, and it's in its evil desires and wicked schemes.

  63. Help us to stay focused.

  64. We know that the world is trying to break our focus,

  65. so we'll take our eyes off of You. But help

  66. us God to keep our eyes on You. That will

  67. be always be in the strength of You, Father God,

  68. never failing, never fainting in our faith, in the name

  69. of Jesus, Because truly, God, we know that you.

  70. Are all power. All things are because of You.

  71. It ain't nothing going to happen unless you allow it,

  72. and we thank you for that God, in the name

  73. of Jesus Christ, that you keep us covered under your

  74. wings up protection, and your protection is always up on us.

  75. We thank you in Jesus' name. Amen.

  76. In the Book of Matthews, chapter fourteen, Familiar passes of scripture.

  77. Matthews fourteen.

  78. And when we get through with Matthews fourteen, we're going

  79. to turn the Hebrews eleven. Let us get Matthews chapter

  80. fourteen and verse twenty two. First, when you get there,

  81. say amen, Matthew chapter fourteen, Verse twenty two. Amen, it's okay.

  82. You got one right there with you. That's all right.

  83. Verse twenty two, Amen, Amen. And straightway Jesus train his disciples,

  84. which means he compelled them to get into a ship

  85. and go before him onto the other side. Go ahead

  86. of me, he's telling them. While he sent the multitude away,

  87. he let them go ahead of him, while he sent

  88. away the multitude that he had just got through feet

  89. in the five thousand plus. And when he had sent

  90. the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart

  91. to pray.

  92. And when the evening was come, he was there alone.

  93. So they were gone in the ship and they were

  94. gone for quite a while, because he went up in

  95. the mountain to pray, and evening had come, so it

  96. must have been in the afternoon. Now evening was come.

  97. He was there alone, but the ship was now in

  98. the midst of the sea. The ship was out there

  99. in the middle of the sea, tossed with waves. A

  100. storm had started brewing, for the winds was contrary. And

  101. in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto

  102. them walking on the sea. He ain't usually, he didn't

  103. get him a boat our ship. He just left from

  104. the mountain and walked on the land and walked out

  105. in the water and walked out there where they was.

  106. And you got to.

  107. Remember, they was in the midst, in the middle of

  108. the seed, so he was quite a long walk. Hey man,

  109. it wasn't shallow water. They was in the midst of

  110. the seed. And when the disciples saw him walking on

  111. the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit,

  112. and they cried out for fear.

  113. And what they were saying was it was a ghost.

  114. They thought it was a ghost.

  115. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, immediately Jesus said,

  116. be of good cheer. He said, immediately, take courage, take courage,

  117. be of good cheer.

  118. It is I be not afraid. In other words, he said,

  119. it is I am, it is I am. It is God. Ah, yeah,

  120. don't hear what I'm saying. So be not afraid. It

  121. is God.

  122. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thy,

  123. bid me to come into the thee on the water.

  124. So Peter wants to involved in the spiritual activity that

  125. Jesus is in.

  126. And he said come, no.

  127. Prayer, no long, no long a bigliography, no long conversation.

  128. When Peter got through saying let me come, Jesus just

  129. said come, just come. And when Peter was come down

  130. out of the ship and then say he it is saying.

  131. He just walked up. He just stepped out there on

  132. the water. The ship was above the water. He had

  133. to step down, so right there when he stepped down,

  134. something was happening. So and when he said coming, when

  135. Peter was coming down out of the ship, he walked

  136. on the water to go to Jesus. He didn't say

  137. swim out there. But when he saw the wind Bowstus

  138. being violent. In other words, when he saw the violence

  139. of the wind, he was afraid and begun to sink.

  140. And when he began to sink, he cried, saying, Lord.

  141. Save me. And immediately hedn't wait.

  142. Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him and said,

  143. unto him, old die of little faith?

  144. Wherefore did it die doubt?

  145. And when they came, and when they were come into

  146. the ship, the wind ceased. Imagine that. Imagine that. Why

  147. didn't the wind cease before that? You gotta put that

  148. in your mind. Then they that were in the ship

  149. came and worshiped him, saying.

  150. Of a truth, thy the son of God.

  151. So they saw this, they saw the spiritual activity that

  152. was going on. And after they saw that, and this

  153. is the truth. Man, we got some serious faith about

  154. who you are.

  155. Now.

  156. In the Book of Hebrews, Chapter eleven, UH and Versus one,

  157. it says, now faith is the substance of things hope

  158. for Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for.

  159. What is the substance?

  160. Faith is the reality of the realization. So now you

  161. can say, now faith is the uh realization of things

  162. hope for the substance is the realization of things, the

  163. hope for for the evidence of things not seen. What

  164. the conviction.

  165. Uh. The the the.

  166. Evidence is the conviction of the things, for by it

  167. faith is by it it being faith.

  168. The elders obtained a good report through faith.

  169. We understand that the worlds were formed mm hmm. In

  170. other words, the ages of times were formed because of faith.

  171. Through faith. Through faith, we understand that the worlds were

  172. framed rather than form were framed.

  173. In other words, they were prepared by the word of God.

  174. So the things which are seen were not made of

  175. things which do appear. So those things were not made

  176. by things that were visible. They were made by things

  177. that were invisible.

  178. Amen. Everybody look up here at me. Amen. Are you

  179. looking at me?

  180. And can anybody see the words coming out of my

  181. mouth now?

  182. Because they're invisible. Amen.

  183. So the things were made by the invisible. They were

  184. made visible. Amen, you may be seen in the house

  185. of the Lord. So today we're talking about faith is

  186. still necessary. This is the title faith is still necessary.

  187. Uh.

  188. Even when we looked looked at Peter here in the

  189. in the Bible of faith is what caused Peter the

  190. step out of the boat.

  191. That's what calls them step out of the boat. Faith.

  192. And as we're looking at the dispensation of time that

  193. we're in right now. Faith is definitely necessary. And the

  194. church has lost faith in the Word of God. How

  195. you know that, Pastor, you you just can'tudge things like that.

  196. Oh yeah, I can, because I'm looking at the way

  197. the church is. They have lost faith in the Word

  198. of God, and now they're just doing what man tell.

  199. Them to do outside of the doctrine of God.

  200. They're running their ministries by their own opinions. They're running

  201. them by their own understanding. They're not running them by

  202. the word of God. That's why they're raping the pockets

  203. of the people, because they have to go beyond faith

  204. and go into what they believe works for them. Hey, man,

  205. faith is not working for them, because if faith was

  206. working for them, they would run.

  207. It the way God say, run it a man. So

  208. we have losing we have lost faith in God in the.

  209. Ministries, in these mega ministries, has lost faith in God

  210. and they're doing it their own ways. That's why I

  211. need all these members to bring me two thousand dollars.

  212. That's why I need all these members to stand in

  213. this line. They're not leaning on the faith of what

  214. the Word of God says. By basically just telling the

  215. people bring an offering. No, they got to do more.

  216. They got to have fish fries, chicken plates, they got

  217. to wash cars and have of what they call yard

  218. sales and stuff like that to raise money. They ain't

  219. in the Bible, they bring your offering. The Bible tells

  220. you to set something aside. It don't tell you to

  221. come up in here on Sunday morning to figure it out.

  222. It tells you to set something aside before you get

  223. here on Sunday. Don't come up in here trying to

  224. figure it out. He said, set it aside. When you

  225. come here on something, you already got it together. And

  226. that's the reason why people set up in the House

  227. of God trying to figure out what they gonna give,

  228. because they ain't setting nothing aside. They ain't doing what

  229. God's words said do. They set up been trying to

  230. figure it out because they're going, I'm gonna need twenty

  231. dollars for gas for the rest of the week, I'm

  232. gonna need this, I'm gonna need some lunch money. And

  233. now you set something aside when you get it, and

  234. you wanna be trying to figure it out. Word of

  235. God only the un word of God is the only

  236. thing that works for God. And man, I'm stuck on that.

  237. But faith is still necessary. When we don't believe that

  238. faith in God is still necessary.

  239. We believe that whatever that man says, standing man, how

  240. that poe him is necessary.

  241. This is how we're gonna get it. You understand. You

  242. bring this and God gonna bless you. Jesus Christ, our

  243. Lord and Savior, never preached on prosperity. Amen. You. If

  244. he did, somebody show it to me later. He never

  245. preached on prosperity.

  246. These preachers, they don't have the faith faith in what

  247. Jesus Christ word says. So they preaching on prosperity. For

  248. why are they preaching on this prosperity? Because they got

  249. houses and cars and a lifestyle to continue to uphold.

  250. They got to keep punching it. They can't go and

  251. rely on the word of God.

  252. It's like the rich man. He was like, oh no, huh,

  253. and I can't go and sell out of that gud.

  254. Whoa You see the lifestyle I'm living. I got faith

  255. in this money. It's working for me. So what is faith?

  256. Because faith is still necessary, hebrew says, What faith is

  257. Hebrews tells us what faith is. Now, faith is the

  258. substance of things hope for the evidence of things not seen. Now,

  259. this is always been a wonderful and well known chapter.

  260. Amen, and these verses.

  261. But do we really know what faith is and do

  262. we really practice real faith? Because in this verse that

  263. we just these verses that we just read, it is

  264. not so much a definition, Amen, of what faith is.

  265. It's not so much a definition of what faith is.

  266. What we just read as it is a description. It's

  267. not so much a definition, but more so a description

  268. of what faith is, and as it is a description.

  269. Of what faith does.

  270. What faith is explained as a confident assurance. It is

  271. the confidence assurance of each and every one of us

  272. that what we hope for is going to happen, the

  273. confidence assurance of what we hope for is going to happen.

  274. Faith starts with believing in God's character.

  275. That he will and what his will is, rather.

  276. And believing in who He say he is, believing that

  277. who God says he is he is. And faith also

  278. accumulates with believing in God's promises. There are promises of

  279. God that God already says.

  280. Is yes, It's already yes.

  281. We are not yet coming to the coming to the

  282. realization and understanding that the promises.

  283. Of God are already Yes. The answer is yes, my

  284. promises are already yes. It ain't no, it ain't wait,

  285. it's yes. So we must understand that he will do

  286. what he says he will do. That's his promise. You

  287. gotta have faith.

  288. In this, yes already. But even in hope, even in hope,

  289. even in hope.

  290. We look at that in our carnal sense.

  291. As to say, just like today, I hope it don't

  292. rain outside.

  293. I hope it don't rain on Saturday. I gets some

  294. things to do.

  295. But we say that with the unassured, with the uncertainty

  296. of this of assurance, ay man, and we say it

  297. with an uncertain desire. I hope it don't rain on Saturday.

  298. We say that with an uncertain desire. Before a believer,

  299. I said a believer, hope is a desire based on assurance.

  300. Can let say that again, hope hope.

  301. Hope for a believer is a desire based on the

  302. assurance and are of.

  303. That is based on God's character. Faith is the evidence

  304. of things we cannot.

  305. Yet see, meaning we have complete confidence that God will

  306. fulfill his promise. We have complete confidence in it because

  307. God already said yes to his promise.

  308. How can you not have complete confidence in it.

  309. He's already given us the confidence by letting us know

  310. that all of my promises are yes and ay mad

  311. in Jesus Christ. It's scripture, he wrote it. Everything he

  312. wrote is truth. This is the word of truth. We

  313. do believe that.

  314. Right, Hey, man, I don't know if I can go

  315. on if we don't believe that. Now. God's word is

  316. the word of truth.

  317. And he said in his word that all my promises

  318. say yes and ay man in Christ, Jesus.

  319. And even though we don't yet see.

  320. Any evidence and any evidence of the thing that we

  321. hope for, and this is one of the this is

  322. one of the deparances of this hope for even though

  323. we don't see any evidence, and even though persecution here

  324. we go, our position here we go, and temptation there

  325. we go, may get in the way, and it will

  326. because you know who's throwing all that at you, don't

  327. you faith will always override all of that.

  328. So how strong the question is is your faith?

  329. When persecution comes, oppression, opposition, and temptation, what are we

  330. holding on to are we holding on to our faith?

  331. How strong is your faith? Because guess what, even in

  332. all of that, faith is still necessary.

  333. It's still necessary. So as we look back here.

  334. Where Jesus had just dealt with the five thousand, and

  335. then straightway he sent the disciples. He constrained them, He

  336. compelled them to get into the ship and go to

  337. the other side. So as soon as they did that,

  338. as soon as the multitude was fed, they immediately began

  339. to pick up all the scraps. And Jesus immediately told

  340. the disciples to get in the ship. And then he

  341. said he sent them into the ship to go over

  342. to the other side. And then after that he sent

  343. the crowd away. Now I always wanted to know why

  344. did he send the crowd away? I mean, he compel

  345. the disciples to get in the ship and go the

  346. other way, but then he sent the crowd away. Why

  347. did he send the crowd away? And then he went

  348. up in the mountain and prayed. Well, as I began

  349. to look at this thing, and the Bible led me

  350. to the Book of John chapter six, and I began

  351. to follow up on this story, I understood why he

  352. sent the crowd away, because you got to understand the

  353. miracle wonders that Jesus had did.

  354. At that time a man feeding five thousand.

  355. Plus people, and a multitude of folk saw all of this,

  356. this miracle, this miracle wonder. So Jesus said he had

  357. sent the disciples to get in the ship, and he

  358. sent the crowd away. But in John chapter six and

  359. verse fourteen, I read the follow up on this, and

  360. it says, and then those men, when they had seen

  361. the miracle that Jesus did, said, this.

  362. Is of a truth that prophet.

  363. See they heard about him that should come into the world.

  364. It's been.

  365. In other words, they said, the thing that we have

  366. heard about this.

  367. Prophet, he has come. Now it's him.

  368. And when Jesus therefore proceed, he began to desern what

  369. was going on in the multitude of the people's minds,

  370. that they would come see what they was about to do.

  371. They was about to.

  372. Come and take him by force, to make him keen.

  373. He departed again into the mountain himself alone.

  374. See, when they realized, after the miracle wonders that he

  375. had did, that's him, that's him. Let's get him. He

  376. gonna be the king. Jesus going to be the kick

  377. this world.

  378. Jesus had the kingship of his own, so he had

  379. deserning the minds of them people.

  380. He had to get on down.

  381. He had to send them away, and didn't get on

  382. down because they was about to do the.

  383. Same thing the people are a Bible did that's why.

  384. That's why God had confused their language for the things

  385. they was trying to do. But what they was trying

  386. to do was against God too.

  387. So Jesus.

  388. Goes on his way to pray after such a tiresome thing.

  389. He goes up before the Father to pray, to get

  390. his relief, amen, to get his orders, to get what's next.

  391. I believe because he always was in the face of God.

  392. And so while he was gone up to the mountains

  393. to pray, he prayed for a while, because he went

  394. in the afternoon, and then the evening failed, and afterwards

  395. he knew what he had told the disciples, I'm coming.

  396. So now evening had failed, and he was only he

  397. was on his way now to join.

  398. Himself with the disciples.

  399. But the ship was now in the midst of the ocean,

  400. of the midst of the sea. So now that they

  401. were after So now the disciples they were troubled again

  402. facing the strong winds.

  403. You know, they was troubled again. What does that mean?

  404. They were once in a ship before, but Jesus was

  405. actually in the ship with them, but he was asleep,

  406. hey man. And they were in the midst of violent

  407. winds and ways at that point. So now they're in

  408. trouble again.

  409. And then Jesus woke up when he was in the

  410. ship and said same thing. Then he said, peace be stad,

  411. what's wrong, y'all? So here's what we're gonna here's what

  412. we're getting ready to see. They were troubled again, facing

  413. the strong winds and the heavy waves.

  414. And the last time that that had happened, Jesus was

  415. actually in the ship with them, but not this time,

  416. not this time physically. Amen.

  417. And we read in the Book of Matthews eight twenty

  418. three to twenty seven. It talks about when he was

  419. in the ship with them and he was asleep. This

  420. time they were left to this time, they was left

  421. to fend for themselves. So they thought they thought they

  422. were left to find for themselves. The first time Jesus

  423. was in the ship with them, and they were afraid.

  424. Are y'all getting this?

  425. The first time they was in the ship and Jesus

  426. was with them, but he was asleep. In my mind,

  427. all the disciples were woke. How was this man sleeping

  428. through all of this coast?

  429. Each peace?

  430. Not just peace, be still, he is peace. That's why

  431. he was a leap because he was at peace.

  432. Because he is peace. The winds in the way didn't

  433. bother him. He's peace, and he's in control.

  434. How can you be in his physical presence and be

  435. fearful and then when he's not there, and then knowing

  436. what he did last time, and here you are alone.

  437. Now they're even more fearful because he ain't even in

  438. the ship. So now they thought they was really there

  439. to fear seeing for themselves.

  440. Hmm.

  441. You see, you gotta look at this story. They just

  442. left Jesus before they got in the ship, where they

  443. didn't know what to do. They said they wanted to

  444. send them away.

  445. In verse sixteen, Jesus.

  446. Said, they need not the part, give ye them to eat.

  447. They were looking at the multitude hond whatever Donna feel

  448. all the people. Then Jesus took from the the boy

  449. five thousand plus because back then they only counted to being.

  450. And we know children most outweighed parents in time.

  451. You know, two parents, five children, two parents, three children,

  452. whatever you understand, I'm saying, so hear.

  453. You out with Jesus.

  454. And even the people were amazed by the marvelous wonders

  455. of a miracle that Jesus did feeding all those people. Amen,

  456. this man just felled five thousand plus folks. You sat

  457. there and watched that thing, the miracle working wonders of

  458. your Lord and Savior. He told you to go out

  459. to the ship. If he tell me go somewhere, I'm covered.

  460. If he tell me to go now so here. They

  461. are fearful in the ship because Jesus physically ain't there,

  462. and you just watched him commit a miracle of feeding

  463. all those people. Well, the same faith that was necessary,

  464. that's necessary here.

  465. Faith is still necessary. That he's not gonna let you

  466. meet your demands.

  467. He sent you out there, but they were fearful because

  468. he wasn't there physically. But then around about three o'clock

  469. the fourth hour in the morning, even in the past,

  470. this in the morning, they've been out there a while,

  471. and they've been out there fighting strong head winds in

  472. high ways most of that time they was out there.

  473. But here comes Jesus walking on the water.

  474. They were fearful of being out there in the boat,

  475. and now here comes Jesus walking on the water, suspending

  476. the laws of gravity, showing his godhead that nothing was

  477. impossible to him and to them that believe on him,

  478. because he could do all things to them that believe

  479. on him. Nothing is impossible for him, to them that

  480. believe on him. Jesus was walking on the sea, and

  481. it was letting them see and unmistakable picture of his

  482. divine identity, deity, and power. What in the world could

  483. ever happen now that I'm seeing Jesus. I didn't seen

  484. him free five thousand plus, and now I'm seeing him

  485. walk on water.

  486. They were in the midst of the sea. Now, y'all

  487. gotta get the picture in your head.

  488. They was in the midst of the sea. You ever

  489. seen the ocean or the sea on TV? Have you

  490. ever seen the waves when they were violent? I mean

  491. waves they get high, ships go up like this and

  492. way down like that, and up like this.

  493. But our Jesus were walking on it.

  494. Y'all heard what I'm saying, Huh, Get it in your head.

  495. The winds was voxarous.

  496. They was violent.

  497. When the winds get violent like that, it causes the

  498. water to erupt way out there in the ocean.

  499. Don't know, iugh, you've ever been out an ocean, But

  500. I've been out in the.

  501. Ocean, and those things, those waves be high sometimes those

  502. ways get up, sometimes higher than some of the highest

  503. buildings you've ever seen. That's why they have to determine

  504. the weather before they take them ships out there, especially

  505. if they go in long distance. That ocean ain't nothing

  506. to play with. The sea ain't nothing to play with.

  507. And here Jesus was walking on it. He's walking on it.

  508. And they looked up and they saw him, and they

  509. said it had to be a ghost. This Jesus, who

  510. they just left on land is now walking on the water.

  511. It's unmistakable to me. He the man, hey man, there's

  512. nothing that I do not not believe about him. Okay,

  513. he just fed five thousand plus people. Now in the

  514. midst of the in the morning, he's walking in the

  515. middle of a rough sea. Because the ciples are fair

  516. for thinking that they're gonna drown.

  517. The boat's rocking.

  518. I mean, that sea ain't nothing to play with. I

  519. went fishing in the ocean and man trying to just

  520. get out there. It's rough, especially when the waters are

  521. our calm, and it can be scary because when you

  522. look around, when you get out so far, there ain't

  523. no land. You don't see no trees, you don't see

  524. no grass nothing.

  525. How you gonna make it if you fall overboard?

  526. I don't care what TV show you in the movies,

  527. they ain't real.

  528. When you're out there in that water.

  529. That's something on TV, that thing plotted out on TV.

  530. Ain't nobody knowing you out there but the folks on

  531. the ship. If it take the ship out, the radio

  532. on what you're gonna do? You? All kinds of things

  533. can go through your mind. It's real.

  534. But there Jesus was walking on the water showing his power.

  535. And when they saw him walking on the water, they

  536. got trouble. After all the disciples had been through with

  537. the crowd and the waves and the wind still blowing strong.

  538. Here comes a ghost. After all they'd have been through,

  539. now here come a ghost. If it ain't enough, You know,

  540. the sea has got us so fearful because it's acting

  541. so violent.

  542. Now we look at and we see a ghost. What's next?

  543. Their ghost is just come out of nowhere walking on

  544. the water. So now they asking themself.

  545. They really had to.

  546. It wasn't enough that the ways and the wind were

  547. bothering them like they're gonna they was being tossed to

  548. and full in the boat.

  549. Now here comes the ghost. Now you gotta ask yourself,

  550. where is Jesus? Where's Jesus and all of this? And

  551. the answer is in all of your troubles. To every believer,

  552. when trials and tribulations come, when fearful things come, where

  553. is Jesus. He's in you. That's where he's at. He's

  554. in you. I heard somebody say they didn't know no better.

  555. You know, God always shows up on time. No he don't.

  556. He don't show up on time. He's on the present.

  557. He's already there. I can't serve. I can't serve a God.

  558. I gotta wait to come. He's already there. So they

  559. asking us said, where's Jesus. He's in you, and he's

  560. in you doing the unexpected and the impossible.

  561. When you have the real faith in him. That's what

  562. he's doing. He's in you, doing the impossible and the unexpected.

  563. Because you'll say to yourself when it's done, I don't

  564. know how I made it through that that's the unexpected.

  565. I don't know how that came to be. That's the unexpected.

  566. So they know who it was. But in the midst

  567. of the fear Jesus, Jesus had already deserned they were

  568. going to be fearful.

  569. Jesus already knew when he sent them forth what was

  570. gonna happen here again. They are given an opportunity to

  571. operate in faith. Are you hearing what I'm saying? He

  572. does the same thing to us, that same thing that

  573. doesn't happen before.

  574. Come back. You still got the same faith in it?

  575. Do you have the faith you had when you built

  576. it up the first time? Do you have it again

  577. when it comes again?

  578. The same faith works, and the same faith is always necessary.

  579. But in the midst of that fear, Jesus had to

  580. encourage them. When they saw what they thought was a ghost,

  581. he called out to them. Because he was still far away,

  582. so he called out to them saying, it is I.

  583. I am our God.

  584. I it is your peace that's approaching you, your peace,

  585. your courage, it is I.

  586. And then he said, so be not afraid. He was

  587. letting them know for sure who he really was, Hey man,

  588. he was letting them know who he really was. And

  589. we look in the book.

  590. This dispels all of these people claiming their claims of

  591. Jesus in God. Hey man, it's in the book. You

  592. can't say you believe the Bible. And I believe what

  593. God says because in the Book of Isaiah, chapter ten,

  594. I mean chapter forty three and verse ten, as we

  595. read here, when Jesus told them it is I, it

  596. is God, it is Lord, it's me. Y'all be not afraid,

  597. and he says in the Book of Isaiah, chapter forty three, ye,

  598. I'm my witnesses.

  599. They seen him walking on the water. They witness it,

  600. didn't they say it the Lord and my servant, whom

  601. I have chosen, that ye may know and believe me

  602. and understand that I am He. Before me, there was

  603. no God form, neither shall there be after me. I

  604. even I am the Lord, and besides me, there is

  605. no savior. Who's the savior Jesus? Who's God? Jesus? That's

  606. what he said. I have declared and have saved. Who

  607. has declared? Who saved us? Jesus?

  608. Who is he God? That's what he said. And I

  609. have showed when there was no strange God among you.

  610. Therefore ye are my witnesses, said the.

  611. Lord that I am. I am God. So he's letting

  612. them know be encouraged. It's me, It's God.

  613. The disciples new God believed in God. Jesuid, you're looking

  614. at it.

  615. That's who it is that you see walking on the

  616. water coming to you. You're looking at the very power

  617. that I possesses God.

  618. So when they saw that it was him after he

  619. spoke to them, they were encouraged because there was no need.

  620. To be fearful anymore.

  621. And you got to understand that the disciples on that ship,

  622. their need was real, and there was fear.

  623. Their fear was real. But they knew one thing.

  624. They knew that in the presence of God, fear had

  625. to be dispelled.

  626. It had to go, It had to be dismissed. Faith

  627. and fear don't go together.

  628. And since God didn't give us the spirit of fear,

  629. as he quoted in his Word, he gave us a

  630. sound mind. A saund mind doesn't have fear. A sound

  631. man is sound, it's stable, it's sober, it believes the

  632. word of God. It knows that the word of God

  633. is truth. It holds on to the word of God.

  634. It's encouraged by the word of God, every word.

  635. Of God, not some of it.

  636. See that's the problem with us. We want to believe

  637. some of it and not all of it. The happy stuff,

  638. we we just well with it. But when the trials

  639. and tribulations come, we forget what the word of God says,

  640. and when they begin to be encouraged, and when they

  641. begin to allow fear to be dismissed. Then Peter spoke up.

  642. He wasn't testing Jesus, he just spoke up.

  643. He would notice, out of the twelve disciples, he was

  644. the only one that spoke up. He was the only

  645. one in the whole boat.

  646. That reacted in faith, and this led him to get

  647. a demonstration of God's real power.

  648. While the storm was still brewing.

  649. Notice the Bible made mention pacifically, are you're hearing what

  650. I'm saying? It made mention pacifically that the storm did

  651. not cease until they both got in the boat.

  652. So when Peter.

  653. Stepped out on the water, he had to have the

  654. faith to step out and believe when.

  655. He said, it is high it is I I am,

  656. That's who it is. It is I am? It is

  657. God walking on the water. Fear not. So Peter took faith,

  658. built it up and begin to ask if it's you

  659. did me to come to you then? But the storm

  660. was still bruing. Aymen, it was still bruin. See.

  661. Peter only asked Jesus to do what he wanted to

  662. do because he wanted to.

  663. Share in the power. But Peter, like us at times,

  664. forget that Jesus already gave him power. Hey man, he

  665. already gave him power. Walk with me, Matthews, ter ten,

  666. verse one.

  667. He already gave him power when Jesus chose the twelve.

  668. Are you're hearing what I'm saying? When Jesus chose the twelve,

  669. When he chose them, he says, And when he had

  670. called unto him his twelve disciples, he done called him

  671. under him. He gave them what what against unclean spirits,

  672. to cast them out and to heal all maun of

  673. sickness and all miner of disease.

  674. He already had power.

  675. He was walking with Jesus fire before this, he had

  676. already been called and been walking with Jesus.

  677. He already had power. But we forget the power. We

  678. possess in the trials and tribulations.

  679. The same faith in our norm is the same faith

  680. necessary in our trials and tribulations. It's the same faith

  681. that's necessary, hey man. He even goes as far as

  682. the say in the Book of Luke, chapter.

  683. Ten, in verse nineteen.

  684. Jesus begins to speak again here in ten and nineteen,

  685. and he says, behold, I give you, I give unto

  686. you power, power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and

  687. over all somebody say, all the power of the enemy,

  688. whatever power the enemy got, you got power over it.

  689. And nothing shall by means hurt you. This God's word,

  690. this God's promised and by faith we believe it, ay man.

  691. But you got to keep filling up. You got to

  692. keep filling up with this faith. I don't care what

  693. comes in your life from the point of having the

  694. faith to restrain what you was in at that point.

  695. When the next one come, before it comes, you should

  696. still keep filling up.

  697. So when you get to that you'll walk right over

  698. it too.

  699. You'll put it under your feet, stump it down by

  700. the faith given to you about God.

  701. But you gotta keep filling up. God give you the

  702. faith of a mustard seed. But you got to keep

  703. filling up. The must seed got to be planted and grow.

  704. And when if you know.

  705. Anything about a musty s it's the smallest seed on

  706. the farm, they tell me.

  707. And when you plant it, it grows into a big

  708. old tree. Somebody work with me on that. It started

  709. out a little mustard seed.

  710. But in time, I said, in time, you got to

  711. understand that when that was planted, there had to be

  712. storms that had to be rained.

  713. It had to be snow, It had to be heat

  714. that surpassed this seed while it was inund trying to grow.

  715. It had to endure trials and tribulations. But boom, some

  716. point in time it continues.

  717. To grow by faith, busted through the earth and became

  718. a big old tree.

  719. Through all its trials and tribulations. It was necessary for

  720. the seed to hold on to faith to grow.

  721. You gotta hold on it. You gotta let it grow.

  722. You gotta let it grow. It's got to grow. It

  723. can't stay a seed. It's gotta grow. If it don't grow,

  724. you're gonna faint. But your faith must be built. And

  725. that your faith is only built by trials and tribulations.

  726. That come into your life. You've heard people when.

  727. The service is high and the music is playing and

  728. the pastor them put a word.

  729. Out, the more power they sing a song. More power Lord,

  730. More power Lord.

  731. Everybody's saying it, whole lot of folks saying it with

  732. no recognition, no depth in what they're saying. But when

  733. they come to understand, more power means that you're about

  734. to endure. You asking for trials and tribulations to come.

  735. In your life. Ain't no other way to get the power.

  736. You asking for.

  737. More power Lord, You asking for trials and tribulations. Trials

  738. and tribulations is what strengthens you. Ay Man, you asking

  739. for more power. You ask for trials and trivilations. So

  740. let's get back, Peter, he asked God, and Jesus said come,

  741. and he went and he walked. But then verse thirty says,

  742. when he saw the wind boastress, when you begin to

  743. meditate on your trouble, when you begin to take what

  744. the doctor said to heart in a negative way, when

  745. you began to listen to doubters, Amen, when you actually

  746. see the trouble that's coming, it says, when he solved

  747. you understand. So when you see like he solved the wind.

  748. He ain't see the wind. When he stepped out, all

  749. he saw was Jesus. But when he saw, in other words,

  750. what happened to Peter, he took his focus off of Jesus.

  751. He took his eyes off of Jesus and began to sink.

  752. When you take your eyes off of Jesus, you been

  753. gonna begin to sink in your troubles.

  754. You're gonna be sinking your circumstances and your situation. He

  755. took his eyes off of Jesus, and he began to sink.

  756. Just as we do when we make our problems bigger

  757. than God. We lose faith and faith when we make

  758. the problem bigger than God. Peter had enough.

  759. Faith to believe and trust Jesus to come out of

  760. the boat and walk on the water, because Jesus said

  761. in verse thirty one, oh I have little things. He

  762. had some faith, but it was little because when he

  763. realized that the trouble was all around him, his faith wavered.

  764. As long as he had his eyes on Jesus, he

  765. was good. His faith was strong. It's just like when

  766. even though Jesus was in the boat with them, but

  767. they couldn't see him because he was down in the

  768. court of sleep.

  769. But when he solved.

  770. Jesus walking on the water, he had faith to endure

  771. in the same power that Jesus was operating in to step.

  772. Out of that boat and walk on that water. But

  773. when he took his eyes off.

  774. Of Jesus, when we take our eyes off of Jesus,

  775. we lose our focus. And when we lose our focus,

  776. fierce crept creaks in into the troubles and trials and

  777. tribulations of our life. He realized that trouble was all

  778. around now he realized the ways he really he could fill.

  779. The wind now blowing, and how the waves were climbing.

  780. But he still knew what to do. He's still he

  781. still don't know where his health was gonna have to

  782. come from. And he called on his help. Although his

  783. faith had diminished and he began to sink in his troubles,

  784. he knew in his troubles what he needed to do.

  785. See wasn't in trouble when he stepped out of the boat.

  786. He was in trouble in the boat before Jesus came,

  787. And then when he saw Jesus he ceased to understand.

  788. And when Jesus says me, man, He said, okay, trouble's

  789. over with Jesus here. Let me come at that to you.

  790. Come on. So he came focused on Jesus, and then

  791. he realized it was trouble all around.

  792. Him as he was walking, and he began to sing

  793. it because he took his eyes off of Jesus.

  794. But he knew where his help had to come from.

  795. And he called on Jesus, and the Bible says immediately,

  796. he didn't take no time at all. He immediately stretched

  797. forth his head and caught him in his troubles and

  798. delivered them out of it.

  799. Because Peter had a real knees right then. Peter had

  800. a real fear right then. And Jesus knew it. But

  801. when he had come into the ship, the wind ceased.

  802. It was over. See, Peter ain't no different than us.

  803. We have doubts.

  804. So Peter's doubt just like ours. It will always be

  805. our downfall. I like to see it like this. When

  806. we doubt God, we don't believe God. And when we

  807. don't believe God, here come we saying unconsciously that God

  808. is lying to us? Who wants to say that God

  809. is truth? God don't lie because he already made the promise,

  810. and the promise is already yes, hey man. But when

  811. we don't hold on the faith, we lose sight of

  812. Jesus Christ's promises. So no different than Peter's doubt, just

  813. like ours. It will always be our downfall, just like

  814. it was Peter's downfall. If we don't hold on to faith,

  815. that'll be always our downfall. Jesus was saying to Peter,

  816. why did you lose doubt? You had faith enough to

  817. come out here to me knowing that I was gonna

  818. take care of you. Why did you use doubt when

  819. you have me always?

  820. He said, I'll never leave you no for sake you?

  821. Why do we lose doubt?

  822. The same faith necessary when He walks through us in

  823. the good times, is the same faith necessary when we

  824. believe there are bad times. And when we believe that

  825. we are having bad times, then we have to have faith.

  826. And with the Word says that all things work together

  827. for the good of them that love the Lord who

  828. are called according.

  829. To his word. That's the promise. He said, I'm with

  830. you always to help you in your times of trouble.

  831. I never leave you no for safety. Jeu was right

  832. in his miss right there. I don't know how close

  833. he was, but he was right there. He was close

  834. enough to see him. He was close enough to talk

  835. to him, and he was close enough to hear him.

  836. If if you've ever been in a storm, a storm

  837. is loud, so he was close enough to see him

  838. in the hearing.

  839. So if you're that close, where's the fear? And we're

  840. closer than Peter was. We're closer than Peter because he's

  841. in us. Can't get no closer than that. He's in us.

  842. Seeing wasn't until they got out of the storm that

  843. the storm ceased. Because we understand that Jesus is the

  844. prince of peace. The storm didn't seise the Jesus and

  845. Peter got in the boat because Jesus is the prince

  846. of peace, and where he is, peace abides.

  847. And I'm a witness to that. It's been some disruptive

  848. things going on.

  849. And when I settled down and sat down, the peace

  850. began to overwhelm me. All of the anxiety begin to

  851. go away. It begins to get out of here. Because

  852. Jesus has power over every circumstance and situation in our lives.

  853. I told you the story one time I was in

  854. a hole and cell and it was it wasn't that big,

  855. and it was over, I mean it was way over crowded.

  856. People were wrapped around the walls. People were all in

  857. the middle. You couldn't you had to step over folks

  858. and even walk around in there. And it was loud

  859. in there, just loud, everybody talking at the same time.

  860. Some folks were gambling. Everything in the hole sale.

  861. And I sat down, put my back up against the wall,

  862. closed my eyes. This is a true story. I lied

  863. to you not.

  864. And I began to pray, and I lost time in prayer,

  865. I lost thought in prayer. I actually kind of fell asleep,

  866. went into a daze. But I woke up out of

  867. my days, and I woke up to peace and order.

  868. When I woke up, those negroes was laying their sleep.

  869. It wasn't a sound in that place. So you can't

  870. tell me he's the principal peace. He's not the principal peace.

  871. Everything shut down and shut up.

  872. And this is what happened here.

  873. After Peter walked on the water and then Jesus saved him,

  874. and then they entered into the boat.

  875. And when they both enter into the boat, the waves.

  876. Ceased to roar, the wind ceased to be violent. Peace

  877. came upon everything.

  878. And it was at this time.

  879. They begin to understand, and they declared the word says.

  880. They declared that Jesus was truly the son of God.

  881. And what happened right here was their faith began to progress.

  882. They began to progress in faith. That's what this indicated

  883. when they begin to understand. At this point, they said,

  884. truly that.

  885. Are the son of God. So their faith. That indicated

  886. a progression in faith for them. But they still.

  887. Had a lot to learn about who Jesus was and

  888. what he had come to do. They had grown that

  889. faith right there, but.

  890. They still had a long way to go.

  891. They still had a long way to go, because even

  892. after that, they still was doubting certain things, even watching

  893. all these miracles. I have to ask myself sometime, if

  894. I was one of those disciples, and I was walking

  895. with Jesus, and we know the Bible said that he

  896. did more miracles than wonders, that the Bible he could

  897. even contain, any books could contain it, any amount of

  898. books were contained.

  899. How in the world could I doubt who he was?

  900. They already professed right here that he was the son

  901. of God, hey man, But you know the story as

  902. you read on, when he was telling them what he

  903. had to do, and he had to die, and Peter

  904. had to be rebuked. And then when Jesus was the

  905. faith that he had on the water was still necessary

  906. for Peter when he was captive and taking him to

  907. an ilegal court, and Peter was the one that followed,

  908. and then he denied him three times because again he

  909. lost faith. Scared, ay man, he knew the power of Jesus.

  910. What would I be fearful of seeing a man that

  911. gonna walk on water, seeing a man that could make

  912. fish multiply and bread multiply, seeing a man raised the dead, huh,

  913. seeing a man giving the blind man's sight the deaf

  914. man is what could I doubt about him being captive

  915. by a.

  916. Bunch of heathens. What I would think was he gonna

  917. get out of it. He gonna get out of it

  918. because he's Jesus, He's I AM. He's gonna showed me

  919. he's I AM.

  920. I've seen him do the impossible, so it's gonna be

  921. possible for him.

  922. To get away from this. Even if they did take

  923. him to the cross.

  924. You understand what I'm saying, why would I be so fearful?

  925. He delivered me On several occasions, they're asking me you

  926. wanted them, you wanted them Jesus folks say, oh no, no,

  927. I ain't want them Jesus folks.

  928. Ah. See, but you can't get away from the church.

  929. They said he looked like it, and when he was

  930. the nine Jesus, they said he sounded like it. You

  931. can't get away from your identity just because you're trying

  932. to fit in with the world. See. See Peter right there,

  933. he was trying to fit in with the world. At

  934. that point he lost faith in Jesus, and now he's

  935. trying to fit in with the world because the faith

  936. that he lost. He was fearful of death. See, just

  937. like he died for us, we have to die for him,

  938. and we died to ourselves that he may live in us.

  939. Hey man.

  940. But Peter was fearful, so he trying to fit in

  941. with the world so he wouldn't look like a Christian.

  942. Because he was amongst all of these.

  943. That's what a lot of folks do nowadays, with their

  944. partners and their friends and they buddies.

  945. They got to fit in with the world. Because they

  946. don't want to.

  947. Look like Jesus to their friends. That's what Peter was doing,

  948. and he had to make it a sure because he said, you.

  949. Sound like it.

  950. Peter had to start using profanity because you had to

  951. know that Heaven knew what a Christian looked like, sound like,

  952. and acting like. So he had to use profanity so

  953. he wouldn't look.

  954. Like Jesus but look like them.

  955. Now he had to speak a different language because the

  956. language that he was speaking it identified him as a.

  957. Child of God.

  958. I've talked to many people, conversations of people that know

  959. nothing about me, and all of a sudden in the conversation,

  960. they'll say, you're a preacher, you're a minister.

  961. You sound like one. That's what they say. You sound

  962. like one, you look like one. That's what they said

  963. to Peter. But he denied it. And when he denied it,

  964. he was denying God. He was denying Christ.

  965. Why because he lost faith, The same faith that he

  966. had on the feeding the five thousand, the same faith

  967. that he had when he saw Jesus walking on the

  968. wall and ask him to come to him, The same

  969. faith that he had when he saw Jesus healing folks

  970. the same faith that he had when they couldn't heal

  971. an individual and Jesus said, oh d of little faith.

  972. They had faith.

  973. They didn't have strong faith, but they had faith because

  974. if they didn't have faith, they wouldn't have been trying.

  975. To heal it. The same faith was necessary.

  976. When they took Jesus to an illegal court session and

  977. he followed them.

  978. Why did he even follow him? Same faith is always

  979. necessary in the faith that we have. When things look

  980. like they smoothed, we need that same faith.

  981. That same faith as necessary when trials and tribulations come

  982. into our life. That same faith thing God is necessary

  983. when you're being tried by your so called associates. Amen,

  984. it's the same faith because they gonna try you, and

  985. they got a right to try you. Amen, they gonna

  986. try you. Are you gonna hold onto the faith? Are

  987. you gonna roll with them? So that's what Peter did.

  988. He didn't hold on to the faith and the belief

  989. that he had in Jesus Christ. He had to roll

  990. with them because he was fearful. You know why he

  991. was fearful. He was fearful for his life. Bibble tells,

  992. ain't nothing we can do to save our lives man

  993. to try to save his life and lose his life.

  994. What the Bible says, So the same faith that you've

  995. been having is the same faith that's necessary today. Even

  996. though all this stuff is going on in the world,

  997. and they're talking about all this stuff.

  998. You know, the biggest you know what the biggest fear

  999. is in the world today. It ain't the fact that

1000. we got an idiot in the White House. It's what

1001. the idiot is threatening, earning the well being of money.

1002. That's the biggest fear of all of them.

1003. He's cutting Social Security, they scared, that's money. He's cutting

1004. what's it called health care? They scared that's money.

1005. That's the biggest fear that they having is that he's

1006. playing and messing with the money. But my God said

1007. I shall supply all of your needs according to his

1008. riches in glory. So no matter what they're trying to

1009. mess with, I gotta have the same faith that God

  1010. will keep his promise.

1011. I can't lose my faith in his promise because of

1012. what they're doing. The faith that our God is still

1013. necessary in this dispensation of time and whatever come.

1014. We can't lose our faith because what they saying we

1015. lose our faith, then we not believe in the promises

  1016. of God.

1017. He said he gonna take care of us. That's a promise.

  1018. That's a promise. Amen. Amen, that's a promise.

1019. So faith is still necessary in this time, and what

1020. people are believe in now is not faith in God.

1021. Faith is still necessary. What faith is still necessary the faith.

1022. That we have in God.

1023. Some have turned their faith from God to man. But

1024. the faith that's necessary is the faith we've already.

  1025. Had in God.

1026. We can't change it, and we can't change it in

1027. the middle of the game because it's still the same

1028. faith that we must have in God. Because of trials

1029. and tribulation in the world is trying to take our

1030. focus off of God and his promises and his help

1031. and his deliverance. We still need that same faith. It's

  1032. still necessary to sustaining.

1033. Amen. Amen, give God a hand, clap of praise. Amen.

1034. Crying, pleading, rolling around on the ground, slobbing all over yourself,

1035. don't move God. The Bible specifically declass that faith is

1036. the only thing that moves God. Our faith moves God

1037. into our circumstances and situation.

1038. It's our faith, not our whining. We can cry out

1039. to God, but cry out to him in faith.

1040. I don't even understand how we can believe that He

1041. made the stars in the sky, and the moon and

  1042. the sun.

1043. And he created man. How can you not have faith

1044. in that kind of power that's powerful,
