Thank you for this privileging opportunity to come before you
-
right now in the name of Jesus. Thank you for
-
this temple You've given us to come and worship and
-
to give you praise and glory and be in all
-
of you. God. Thank you for hosting us, God and
-
watching over us. You are our only audience. Right now,
-
Father God, we come God to hear a word from you.
-
We come God to learn a word in the name
-
of Jesus, that we may live right before thee and
-
all that we do will be pleasing in thy sight. Father,
-
in the name of Jesus, as that you open the
-
eyes in the ears of your people that are here
-
today and those that are listening over the airways. In
-
the precious name of Jesus, rebut the devour for our sake,
-
cover us and keep us Lord in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen.
-
In the Book of Gallations and the fifth chapter, I
-
looked at this this morning because I was praying through
-
the night, and I went to sleep, and I woke
-
up about two o'clock, because I went to sleep about
-
eleven thirty twelve, and I woke up at two o'clock,
-
not two o'clock on the about two fifteen somewhere in there.
-
And I'm beginning to pray to God about his people
-
in this house and those that are not in this house.
-
But I say, Lord, give me a word today for
-
your people. And see there are preachers who say that
-
they ask God for a word to minister to his people.
-
But the very word that God gives him the minister
-
to his people, is the same word that he ministers
-
to him. Amen. So I mean real. I shouldn't say real.
-
But the men of God who minister the doctrine of
-
Jesus Christ and not men's doctrine, are adhered to the
-
very message that God gives him to give to the people. Aymen,
-
because that message also is speaking to him. So in
-
the Book of Relations, in the sixteenth verse of the
-
fifth chapter, it's talking about walking in the spirit. And
-
the reason I believe because I'm hearing the voice of
-
the Lord as I was praying, is that this is
-
a new year, and God has given us a new year,
-
and He's given us the twelfth day, eleventh day of
-
this year. And we always want to go backwards that
-
we may go forward. What are you talking about? People
-
making you New year's resolutions? They were backwards, and now
-
they don't go forward again. Most folks making resolutions like
-
I'm I'm gonna be in church every son, they lie
-
to theirself. They line to theirself, and they line to God.
-
But the thing here in this verses is talking about
-
these verses sixteenth to the twenty sixth verse. It's talking
-
about your spirit and your flesh. Amen. And today I
-
want to say to each and every one of you
-
that claim in Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior,
-
those in this house and those that are listening. This
-
word is for everyone whose ears are tenants. That we
-
as people and not just people, but the chosren of God,
-
should always be walking in the spirit. Amen. And we
-
should always know that we're walking in the spirit. That's key.
-
We should always know that we're walking in the spirit,
-
because sometimes we don't even know we're not walking in
-
the spirit. Amen. And God has given us examples to
-
understand and to know when we're not walking in the
-
spirit as equal to that of when we are. Amen. Amen.
-
So here in the Book of Gallatians is talking about
-
walking in the spirit. And in the sixteen verse it
-
says this, I say, then this, I say, then walk
-
in the spirit. This is what he's saying. He's telling
-
you and me to walk in the spirit. Why, and
-
you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. That's why,
-
if you walk in the spirit, you will not fulfill
-
the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusted against
-
the spirit. And you see that lusted is a continuation,
-
this flesh continually, non stop lustest against the spirit, and
-
the spirit against the flesh. Why because the are contrary,
-
the one to the other, so that ye cannot do
-
the things that ye would. The flesh does not want
-
you doing the things of the spirit, and the spirit
-
don't want you doing the things of the flesh. They're
-
contrariant to one another.
-
And the flesh is contrary to God, but the spirit
-
is contrary to God. So you got to choose, as
-
a child of God, which one of these are you.
-
In your character? But if ye be eighteen lead of
-
the spirit, ye are not under the law. I was
-
telling you this morning. I just told you that this morning.
-
There it is, somebody say, there it is. I didn't
-
make it up. But if you are lad of the spirit,
-
you are not under the law. But if you lead
-
in your flesh, you're under the law. It's the opposite
-
to it. Hey man, But if you be led of
-
the spirit, you are not under the law. You are
-
not under the law. You are not under the law.
-
If you be laid of the spirit. Now the works
-
of the flesh are manifested. What does that mean? They
-
ever did it? The works of the flesh are evident.
-
Which are these? What is the evidence? What is the
-
evidence of the flesh. This is the evidence of the flesh. Adultery, fornication?
-
Whoa fornication? The preacher just preached that fornication is not
-
a sin. The devil's preacher. That's who did it. Uncleanness, lichiviousness.
-
What is lichiviousness? Contentions? That's what lativiousness is. Goes on
-
the it's got a list because it's it jumps to
-
another verse. Adolatry, Which craft? Which craft? Mm? Hm, which craft?
-
What is which craft? Sorcery? What is which craft? I
-
tell you which craft is? Disobedience? Is witchcraft? Hatred? Hatred?
-
And say heye, it say hatred? Variances? Which is contentions?
-
I'm sorry I said that, Uh, litiviousness was contentions, but
-
it's not. It's lachivious It's the same thing. It's just lativiousness.
-
But variances is considered to be contentions. Emulation is jealousy, raft,
-
strife strife. What is strife? Strife is selfish ambitions, seditions?
-
What is seditions? Dissensions, that's what sedition is, and heresies.
-
These are the evidence of the flesh. Everybody envyings, murderers, drunkenness, drunkenness, drunkenness, revelings, reveling.
-
What is revelling? Pretty young ladys talking calling people by
-
their name, different names, it ain't even their name, talking
-
bad about it, and such like and such like of
-
the witch. I tell you this, God tell me before,
-
as I have also told you. I'm not just telling you.
-
I told you this in time past, that they which
-
do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God
-
and Man. These are evidenced. Are y'all with me, I'm
-
gonna taking a slow These are which you have in
-
your Bible to read over again and compare to your walk.
-
Whether any of these are connected to you and you
-
you're rid of it, because those that's evidence of you
-
walking in the flesh. But there's a bright side to this,
-
which is the key verse of this whole chapter, verse
-
twenty two. But the fruit of the spirit I didn't
-
say fruits. I said the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace,
-
long suffering, gentleness. Look at that gentleness. Gentleness is kindness.
-
Understand those Gentleness don't mean just being general. It means
-
you being kind. It's kindness, goodness, faith, faith, hmm, meekness. Temperance.
-
What's temperance. We all need some temperance. We all need
-
to God to strengthen that fruit of temperance. Self control
-
is what temperance is. And he says, against such, there
-
is no law. These are spiritual. These are spiritual, and
-
that's where there is no law. And they that are
-
christ have crucified death, death the flesh with the affections.
-
And thus your passions have been crucified. Your affections have
-
been crucified with the fruit of the spirit of all.
-
If we live in the spirit, let us also walk
-
in the spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory,
-
provoking one another, envying one another, being all conceited, in
-
other words, conceded. And when you, being concealed, you provoked
-
some folk to anger. So let us not be desirous
-
or conceited of vain glory, provoking one another envying one another.
-
Why do I have to envy you? For what God
-
gave me to use for him is what he gave
-
me to use to him, And what he gave you
-
to use for him he gave for you to use
-
for him. I can't get used when he gave you,
-
and you can't use what he gave me. So why
-
be in this? And more to the point, we all
-
got the same Jesus, where's he I gave? He envious you?
-
You got the same Jesus I got where's the envy?
-
I can't do no better than you, and you can't
-
do no better than me. It's the same, Jesus. So
-
the question today, after all of that, there's a walk
-
in the flesh, and there's a walk in the spirit.
-
But the question is how do you walk? How do
-
you walk? Because Paul here is explaining you may be
-
seated in the House of the Lord, that the secret
-
to loving our neighbor as ourself is by living in
-
the spirit and not giving into a sinful human desires.
-
He then explains in these verses the characteristics of a
-
life motivated by the sinful nature and a life motivated
-
by the spirit. He has broken down and gave us
-
the motivation of an individual who walks by the flesh.
-
And he broke it down by how individual walks by
-
the spirit. He said in verse sixteen, he said this,
-
I say, then, walk in the spirit, and you shall
-
not fulfill the lust of the law. Amen, if you
-
walk in the spirit, you won't fulfill the lust of
-
the law. But vice versa, if you walk in the flesh,
-
you are fulfilling the law. And we're not under the law.
-
We are under grace. And you are in grave trouble
-
trying to keep the law when God says we're under grace.
-
Ay man. The chapter eight of Romans is this verse
-
to hear. It talks also about life and the spirit.
-
And in verse ten it says, and if Christ be
-
in you, notice the word is and if Christ be
-
in you, the body is dead because of sin, but
-
the spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the
-
spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead,
-
the spirit of Him raised up Jesus, that spirit is
-
God that raised up Jesus from the dead. But if
-
it dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from
-
the dead, shall also quicken. In other words, that same
-
spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will also give
-
you life to your mortal bodies by his spirit that
-
dwell in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to
-
the flesh. We owe the flesh nothing. We owe it
-
nothing to live after the flesh. We don't owe the
-
flesh nothing to live after it. We don't owe you
-
to funicate flesh. We don't owe you to commit a
-
dawntree or wall I have an idols. We don't owe
-
it to you the murder and to steal and keep.
-
We don't owe it to you. Why because of the
-
spirit that quickened us. Because the flesh was dead in
-
its sin, and now we have come alive in Christ.
-
So we don't owe you nothing flesh. For if we
-
live after the flesh, I already told you about the
-
spirit in verse eleven. But if the spirit of Him
-
that raised their Jesus from the dead dwell and you.
-
But verse thirteen says for if and this word infests
-
in both of those, because it's conditional you live after
-
the flesh, you should die. Anybody don't understand that you
-
live after the flesh, you shall die. That's God speaking.
-
But if you through the spirit do mortified, I mean,
-
kill that thing, put that thing to death. The deeds
-
of the body you shall live. For as many as
-
I led by the Spirit of God, they are the
-
sons of God. They are the sons of God that
-
are led by the spirit of God. So I mean,
-
if you lead by the flesh, you ain God's son.
-
For you have not received the spirit of bontandage again
-
to fear, But ye have received the spirit of adoption.
-
Whereby we cry Abba, Father, Abba, Daddy. The Spirit itself
-
buried witness. It's the key verse in this chapter. The
-
Spirit itself veried witness with our spirit that we are
-
the children of God. And if there it is again,
-
then heirs heirs said it twice of God, and joint
-
heirs three times with Christ. If so be, if so be,
-
that we suffer with him, that we may be also
-
glorified together. Amen. Amen. There's the flesh and then there's
-
the Spirit of God. And these two forces are within
-
us are constantly battling. There's a war going on with
-
each other. There is a war going on inside of
-
each of us. The flesh and the Spirit of God
-
don't get along. They don't get along with each other.
-
They have different desires. The flesh wants to commit sin,
-
the spirit of God wants to commit righteousness. There will
-
go war going on inside of us. But if you
-
be led of the spirit, yeah, not under the law.
-
Onet Tifty one and nine says says, knowing this that
-
the law is not made for the righteous man. I
-
want you to similar in you. The law is not
-
made for the righteous man, even the society that we
-
live in, the laws not made for the righteous man,
-
but for the lawless and disordered and disobedient, for the ungodly,
-
and for the sinners, for the unholy and the profane,
-
For murderers of mother and fathers, and murderers and man slayers,
-
for hormongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, sleeping
-
with animals, for man slaughterers, for liars, for liars, for liars,
-
for for perverters of perverted people. And if that be
-
any other things, any other thing that is contrary to
-
sound doctrine, the law is for that too. What are
-
you saying, anybody standing behind this poor pit, I just podium,
-
any poor pit preaching men's doctrine. You are under the
-
loud and therefore you'll condemn to hell anything contrary of
-
the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Because as God says, we're
-
not ignorant. That's lack of knowledge. That's called lack of knowledge.
-
So it's not really bad when you tell somebody man,
-
he's just ignorant, unless you just be a meaning. But
-
ignorance just means like because somebody stupid or dumb. That's
-
a whole different world. But ignorance is just a lack
-
of knowledge. And we're not hignorance of his devices. The
-
Bible has just let us know that we're not ignorant
-
of the devices of the flesh. We're not ignorant of them.
-
So it is evident. Verse nineteen says, now the works
-
of the flesh are ever, which means it says, the
-
works of the flesh manifest. So whatever the work of
-
the flesh is, And if you put it like this,
-
if you're walking in the flesh, it will manifest that
-
which you are walking in. It will be evident that
-
you're walking in the flesh. How by the very evidence
-
of the things I just read manifest evidence, it means
-
it's without a doubt you're walking in the flesh. Yeah,
-
you you live with him, Yeah, miss mcgarret, y'all married, No,
-
not yet evident they walking in the flesh, because ye
-
ain't sleeping in separate rooms. Not find as she is, you,
-
not find as he is, ain't nobody in the house.
-
But y'all you're a liar. The flesh does not play
-
with temptations. So it is without a doubt that those
-
things that are evident of the flesh do not come
-
from the Spirit of God. They come from the devil,
-
these things. In case we are not really understanding these
-
this evidence of things, let me break it down as
-
quick as I can. These acts are of one who
-
walks in the flesh. In verse nineteen, in verse twenty,
-
in verse twenty one, it speaks of these things. What
-
are these things? Adultery having sex? Li'sten not just gonna
-
explain it to you. So what is adaughtry? Well, adultery
-
is having sex outside of your marriage. Adultry is having
-
sex outside of marriage. And it is adultery having sex
-
in your mind with somebody. He ain't got a touch.
-
Just think about it, think about a real deed. Think
-
about him. Boy, he show find who are the things
-
I know he can do to me. You just committed adultry,
-
your very thought in your mind of what he can
-
do to you or what you can do to her.
-
I heard people say, boy, I mean because Green, you
-
just committed adultry. And and hell gonna make you screen
-
for the rest of your life. You don't change fornication,
-
The preacher said, forthutication ain't ain't no sin. Two people
-
that are unmarried and see adultry and funtication, they connect
-
two because you can have sex with a person in
-
your mind, it's adultery, and you ain't even married to him.
-
So fortication is two people unmarried having sex, and at
-
times it does signify adultry. Also because what happens it manifests.
-
It manifests because you thought about it in your mind.
-
And if you think you have a problem with your
-
mind of thinking about it, they don't know what to
-
do about it. And the Bible tell you what to do.
-
He said, think these thoughts when you see him and
-
he looking so good to you. The Holy goes to
-
kick you and say, wait minute, don't think that. Think
-
you thoughts down instead of pure down, instead of holy
-
dostead of praiseworthy. It'll help your mind. It's chievousness, sexual
-
excess who uncleanness. Uncleanness is whatever's opposite of purity, unnatural
-
practices like sodomy and beast street. It is unnatural, hey man,
-
it's unnatural for humans to have sex with animals. It's uncleanness.
-
It is uncleanness for a man to go into the
-
whole that a woman boo boos out of. It's called sodomy.
-
The whole back there.
-
For men and women, because men want to be with men,
-
and on the whole, they can go it down there.
-
It's through it booty whole, and that side of me
-
and the booty hale was only made for.
-
Garbage to come out of. The booty hale was only
-
made for exiting and not entering. It's unnatural, it's uncleanness, odultry.
-
What really is our doctrin? Worshiping idols? I put in
-
your affections on anything a person instead of God. It
-
ain't just a piece of wood. It's an individual tool.
-
You could worship people as adultry. A whole lot of
-
folks that go to the House of God, whole lot
-
of folks say it to say whole lot of folks
-
say it to say hoole. A lot of folks commit adultery,
-
idoltry every time they come in the house of God.
-
Why because they reference the building more than God in
-
the house of God. And you can't cuss in here,
-
but you're gonna cuss out there God out there too.
-
Can't smoke my cigarette and join up in here. Can't
-
smoke it out there either. Can't drink your drinking here. See,
-
this is what you know in your mind, that you
-
know is not proper to do it in here, but
-
it's okay out there. Why you're idolizing the building. It's
-
a building. God don't live in here. God makes his
-
presence in here. Which craft sorcery, tampering with the powers
-
of evil. When people be having those which call those
-
wishes or boys or whatever, it's ouiji boys, it's witch craft.
-
It's which craft. Ye to say, don't put that brush
-
on my bed. That's bed. Look, that's witchcraft. You break
-
the glass. Superstition, thank you. I just say superstition, ain't.
-
I ain't got a name of them all. Superstition is witchcraft.
-
And I tell you something that people don't even realize.
-
It's witchcraft. Disobedience They don't know the disobedience is witchcraft
-
to God. When you being disobedient to God is witchcraft.
-
Why does he call it witchcraft? Because you got a
-
demon in you. That's why you're being disobedient. A demon
-
is is disobedient to God. Hatred, well, that's the difference.
-
Hatred is the opposite of brother. They love. It's the
-
opposite of kindness. See, even not talking to a person,
-
or rather not liking a person for whatever reason, is
-
hatred in God's eyes. I said even not like him.
-
I didn't say hating a person is hatred in the
-
sight of God. See we we sensitize it. I don't
-
hate him, brother man. Yeah, we separated and try to
-
soften it up. I don't like him, brother, I don't
-
hate him either. See I don't hate him. I just
-
don't like him. God looks at his hatred. You know
-
why God looks at his hatred? Does anybody even know
-
why God looks at that his hatred? Because God has
-
given us a commandment to love. So you don't even
-
have You don't even have. You don't neither have an
-
opportunity to say I don't like nobody. It's not it's
-
not a for discussion. He commands us to love, so
-
I ain't gonna say you don't like somebody, but if
-
you don't like him, you don't love him. You fool
-
yourself and say I love them, I don't hate them,
-
I just don't like them. You twist it because God
-
commands us to love everybody. See variances. It's the same
-
as hatred, just about because hatred is what opens up
-
this strife that you have a discord between another or
-
another individual. Amen vary incense just opens up hatred south
-
it does. It's the same way when weed cigarettes cigarettes
-
open you up to weed. We'd open you up to cocaine.
-
Cocaine open you up to the pipe. The pipe open
-
you up to death, devastation. Emulations jealousy. Not all jealousy
-
is bad, but this jealousy is jealousy. Some people are
-
so jealous they try to lure others to set up
-
oneself unholy zeal, pretending to support true religion by torturing
-
and burning alive those who both profess and practice it.
-
Emulations is a That's why they call it a green
-
eyed monster. That jealousy has the power of destruction of
-
an individual. You be so jealous of a person, you're destructive,
-
Hey man, raft, that's a person always start and stuff,
-
it's all They messy, always start in trouble. They just
-
messy strife. That's a selfish person with selfish ambitions. They
-
ain't thinking about you, thinking about what they can get
-
out of you and what you can do for them
-
to get them the way they try to go. They're selfish. Seditions, seditions,
-
those are people that cause division and separation. It's a
-
lot of those people because this is something that they
-
do inside the church. They go inside. They say that
-
they go in monster pews, and they try to separate
-
folks from each other, even try to separate you from
-
the pastor more of them try to separate from the
-
pastor they do from the people. That's what seditions is.
-
They cause division and separation in God's house. Heresies those
-
people call scandals. They give stumbling blocks to one. These
-
people are called liars. Envying, envying where pain is felt
-
at the sight of excellence. You're doing so good, sister Lisa.
-
It just hurts me that you're doing so good and
-
hurt me. You got this, You got that, I ain't
-
got it. I'm hurt because you got it. I'm envy.
-
It's the it's the feeling of hurt of the excellence
-
of somebody else. Even because somebody is happy, you're envious
-
that they're happy. Yeah, Slick told me at one time,
-
why you always smiling because I'm happy, Because I got
-
Jesus murderous one that hates his brother in his heart
-
and is ready to destroy his life. So you don't
-
actually have to kill somebody, stab them to death, or
-
shoot him, but you're because you will because you hate
-
them in your heart. That's a murderous thing, and because
-
the very thought of you thinking about hurting them. And
-
you also can murder somebody by running your black mouth.
-
You can murder folks by talking about them in a
-
negative way. The Bible said, you murdered me with you
-
murdered them with your mouth. That don't sound like no
-
knife or no gun to me. Drunkenness. We don't need
-
to know that. We know that's an intoxicated person in
-
his mind. With the liquor you're under. That's why they
-
call you. You'll see those liquors stores, don't they. They
-
say spirit, wine, spirit, wine, wine and spirit whatever it
-
got spirit up there. You got the wrong spirit, and
-
that alcohol is gonna give you a wrong spirit. And
-
when you have an accident, they say, you was under
-
the influence of what wine the spirit? You wasn't under
-
the influence of God. Revellings, revellings. That's grief, folks, excess
-
of eating a gluttoness. No one with these things whatever
-
into the Kingdom of God. If one of those things
-
is something you still stuck with, you need to check
-
your walk. You need to check your walk. Amen.
-
And God goes on to say in verse twenty six,
-
let us not be desirous of ainglory.
-
He gives us the other attributes of walking in the spirit.
-
We understand what it means to walk in the flesh.
-
The evidence of walking in the flesh the very characters
-
of the flesh. And I just mentioned those are the
-
very characters of walking in the flesh. Amen. And if
-
any of those are in you, you need to pray
-
and ask God to deliver you from it. If you
-
love the Lord. If you love the Lord, Amen. But
-
when you do love the Lord, and it's entitler He
-
speaks of the first fruit of the spirit is love.
-
That's mentioned here in verse twenty two, key verse of
-
this chapter. Love is the first fruit mentioned. Love. The
-
love is not your mindful thinking of love. It's God's
-
understanding of love. It's the God bad love that he's
-
talking about. A filial is not a fruit of the spirit.
-
A God baid is a fruit of the spirit. Sensuous
-
is not a fruit of the spirit. A god ba
-
is the only fruit here. Concerning love of the spirit
-
of God is an intense desire to please God. That's
-
the God they love. It is an intense, intense desire
-
to please God. Motivate it and push into the will
-
of your character to do so. Amen. That iparts in
-
you loving others. That's the intensity of loving God. Is
-
to love others and to do good to mankind. This
-
love is what gives energy to faith. Amen. Because love is,
-
as I've told you before, is the energy to all
-
of the fruit of the spirit. Joy. It's an arising
-
from the sense of God's mercy to the soul. In
-
the parting of the sin in us. That joy peace
-
takes place in a justified soul instead of the doubts
-
and fears and alarms. It brings satisfaction to the mind
-
that sin is forgiven. That's peace. Because some folks they
-
get saved, they saved a long time, committed a damnable
-
sin in their eyes. I say damnable because they put
-
a weight on it, and it's too it's too damnable
-
to come back from Peter thought because he rejected God,
-
which is the only sin that has sin you to hell.
-
It was hard for him to come back from it.
-
But Jesus spoke to him. But that damnable sin will
-
not allow peace to end end. But when you know
-
that God has forgiven you, there's your peace of God.
-
Lone suffering, lone suffering, long suffering, bearing through all trouble,
-
lone suffering and difficulties, suffering through the difficulty, difficulty, tease,
-
and the troubles of life and bearing them. Ay man,
-
not crying like a baby in a Pom puppy without murmuring,
-
are complaining. It's lone suffering. Having patience is lone suffering
-
having patience without Look here, I can't put up with him.
-
You need to work on your lone suffering because God
-
put up with you a whole lot longer than you're
-
putting up with him. I said, God put up with
-
you a lot longer than you trying to put up
-
with him. And God still putting up with you even
-
when you ain't putting up with him? Huh, don't. Suffering
-
is the opposite of a short tempered person. Gentleness is kindness,
-
it's goodness, it's generosity to others. Sometimes no, no, at
-
all times we try to be kind without being generous.
-
But kindness and generosity go together. They go together. You
-
can't separate them. You can't do one without the other.
-
If you're trying to do one without the other, you're
-
not doing either one of them. You don't realize that,
-
but it's true. Just like people think they can straddle
-
the fence, it's impossible. You neither fuck God against God.
-
There's no middle. There's no middle between generosity and kindness,
-
goodness to do good to the body and soul of men,
-
to the uttermost of our ability, But all of the
-
most come from a good, good, good thing that God
-
gives us. When you get saved heart, you have to
-
have a good mind to have goodness and to perform it,
-
you have to have a good mind. And a good
-
mind comes from God. And the mind that comes from
-
God comes from here, which is God's mind. Amen. A
-
good mind is a purified mind. That's why you see
-
people acting a fool. But you can yet see the
-
good because why you got a good mind? Amen, because
-
a good mind is purified by the spirit of God. See,
-
we're talking about the attributes of the spirit, not the flesh.
-
The flesh don't see like God. The flesh. See a
-
person acting up, Oh he's the dirty dog. He's going
-
to hell. God don't see it that way. He don't
-
see it that way. Look at him sitting on that
-
deg gonna bust. Stop smoking that dope. On a Friday
-
Sunday he show up in church because he don't repeat
-
it Friday night and Saturday and came came to church.
-
You didn't know that you want to You don't want
-
to show the man goodness because you seen what he
-
was doing. But God show you goodness when he saw
-
what you were doing. See, it's ironic to me. If
-
God showed goodness and mercy and kindness and gentleness and
-
long suffering and peace and joy to us when we
-
were in our mess, I can't understand why we don't
-
show it to other people. Here's why I don't understand it,
-
Because if he being you, you ought to be doing
-
the same thing he did before he got in you.
-
He gave it to you. Now that he's in you.
-
You ought to give it to others. Why because you
-
don't live no more. You have died that what you say,
-
and he live in you, right, So it's not you
-
live anymore, but he did live in you, right. Faith
-
dependability never betraying the secret of your friend. That's faith, y'all.
-
We don't want to do that. Let me tell you something.
-
I don't tell nobody. I told you because they told
-
me not to tell you. Don't tell nobody I told
-
you because they told me not to tell you. That's
-
not faith. That's not the pendability. Faith is never disappointing
-
the confidence of people that they have in you. So
-
when you walk in the walk and in the spirit,
-
don't get to walking in the flesh because you're betraying
-
the confidence that the people having you. And you don't
-
want to do that because you and your walk in
-
the spirit may be the only thing that people can
-
recognize and identify with God. And that's why people say
-
what they say about you and need because there are
-
people claiming to walk in the spirit, were walking in
-
the flesh, and they they they bring us all together,
-
or you go to jobs that ain't no I know
-
a whole lot of people go to church. They had
-
a fool. You must have a fool too. Wrong answer,
-
meekness and gentleness. I'm almost done, y'all. Whole on. I'm
-
trying to teach you something because it's the beginning of
-
the year and you're gonna have to pay attention to
-
your walk. Hey man, Meekness is gentleness. They go together,
-
suffering injury without feeling spirit of revenge, suffering in it,
-
suffering injurias without feeling a spirit of revenge. So they
-
talked about you like a dog. But you got to
-
have meatness and gentleness towards that. You can't be running
-
around with the spirit of revenge because that's part of
-
the walk of the flesh. I don't care what they
-
did to you. You can't be thinking about revenge because sometime,
-
let me tell you something, when folks say something to
-
me the wrong way, I be thinking about how it
-
can slapping their mouth, how what I can do doing
-
Then I have to repent. Oh I'm trying to I'm
-
striving for perfection. Yeah, yeah, see, I'm not telling y'all.
-
I'm like Paul not I have not yet apprehended all
-
of this, But yet I'm striving for it, hey man.
-
So yes, my mind will click over to the left
-
of how I can time to the chair and put
-
a fire up under them, burn them alive, and then
-
the Holy goes kick in. No revenge something, because vengeance
-
is mine, just said the Lord. Meekness and gentleness is
-
the opposite of bad anger. I say bad anger because
-
there's a good anger, but not bad anger. And I
-
saved this one for last because when love energizes this one,
-
it actually helps energize the rest of them. And that's temperance.
-
Self control. Self control will cause you not to be
-
vengeful pushed by love. Self control is the ability to
-
control your passions and lust for things. Self control will
-
help you to control those five blouses you're trying to buy,
-
hey man, when you got one already at home, and
-
then you about to put yourself in debt, talking about
-
the devil. Now, was you swiping that credit card or
-
that bank debit car? It wasn't the devil. Self control
-
will keep you from being in debt. Are you hearing me?
-
Self control will keep you from the lust of a
-
man or a woman, hey man. Self control will keep
-
you from picking up that little bit of thing like that,
-
that you allow them to have more power than you.
-
The cigarette, the joint. Some of the joints are smaller than
-
that because after they get through puff puffing and passing,
-
and you probably.
-
The big.
-
Caught. They call it a roach. Amen. Amen. Self control, temperance,
-
keep you from going off when somebody get on your nerves. Hey, man,
-
self control, work on it. Sister Lisa, you got new babies.
-
Self control, because they're gonna drop them off. They already
-
dropped them off. Amen, you're hearing me. Self control. Amen.
-
So in my conclusion, I guess the question stands, which
-
way do you really walk? Which way do you really walk?
-
After is it in the flesh or is it the
-
spirit of God? The question is which way do you
-
really walk? Because I've given you every attribute of the
-
flesh and every attribute of the spirit. I've given you
-
both characters of each one by God's word, not my word.
-
This God's word, the truth of God's word is in
-
this book. And it just gave you the characters of
-
flesh walking, and the characters are walking in the spirit
-
of God. So I guess the question stands which way
-
do you really walk? But if you don't have an answer.
-
Just watch your walk when you leave here. And you
-
don't even have to answer the question right here. You
-
know why because the Bible says it will be evident.
-
It said it will manifest, which will be evident as
-
to who you are walking with. Amen, it will tell
-
on you. Amen. Amen, you gotta handclap a praise. We
-
have to always have us a checklist when the word
-
of God is going forth. Amen, And we need to
-
be checking if this is always going to apply to you.
-
But which way does it apply? It's always going to
-
apply not only the preach word of God, but we
-
always also to have a checklist. When we're reading the
-
word of God ourselves in our private time, at our
-
homes or wherever we may be, that should be a
-
checklist come out in the Bible. When you begin to
-
read the word of God. You should be reading the
-
word of God as to though is this me or
-
is this not me? You gotta be reading the word
-
of God when you read the word of God said,
-
and the truth shall make you free? Where show does
-
it made me free? To have your checklist when you're
-
reading the word of God. Killed that ain't me? I
-
ain't killed nobody with a knife or a gun. Eat
-
my mouth. That's when I steal, not a thief, and
-
it's steal. None of those pins have toilet paper from
-
my job. It's comical, but it's real and you don't
-
get a free buy. Amen, Let us stand
