The title to the lesson is that we can live
-
in an up We can live an.
-
Upright life in an upside down world.
-
We can live an upright life in an upside down world.
-
Upside down world is a world that lies, a world
-
of no truth. Amen. Amen, So let us get into
-
this Father.
-
First, let us go to the to the throne of Grace.
-
And we don't have to invite him. He's already here,
-
and we already accept the fact that he's here, and
-
we always want him to be here because it is
-
his house. We thank him for accepting us in his
-
house and accepting us in his presence. In the name
-
of Jesus, we thank you, Lord, that your word will
-
go forth and strengthen us.
-
And enlighten us and impart in us wisdom, knowledge, and
-
most of all unders.
-
And then that we may walk up right in thy
-
sight and in thy presence, in the name of Jesus,
-
And that thou endour us with power to fight against
-
the wives in the darks of the enemy, the powers
-
of darkness.
-
The rulers of this world, principalities.
-
You give us the power, and not just power, but
-
authority to use the power. So Lord, we thank you
-
in the precious name of Jesus, and we give you
-
glory and honor in this house. Thank you for filling
-
us with your spirit and rebuking the enemy it is
-
always trying to enter end. Thank you for shutting the
-
door that he cannot open and opening the door that
-
he cannot shut.
-
Thank you Jesus. And it is in his name we pray.
-
Thank God.
-
Amen and amen, if you would turn with me to
-
the Book of Acts in the seventeenth chapter. They're gonna
-
try to be long today, but we'll let God use
-
me do what he do.
-
Amen.
-
I've yet to even try to wrap my mind around
-
why people come to the house of God in a heiry?
-
Why do they come to his house in a herry?
-
Didn't the Lord say he set this day, he set
-
a day aside for himself, and that day that he
-
set aside for himself is for his people to come
-
together and unity, that we may have unify power in
-
prayer and praise and in worship. So, if you with
-
me in the Book of Acts in chapter seventeen, say
-
man so, and starting in verse one, it's just now
-
when they had passed through Amphileus and Philippus is however't
-
you say that, and Apolloni, they came to Thatsalone Eca,
-
where was a synagon of the Jews.
-
And you didn't hear to say a church of the Jews?
-
Is he said, a synagon of the Jews, trying to
-
help us to get away from those things that we
-
were rooting grounded in.
-
It's a synagon or temple of the Jews.
-
And Paul, as his manner was, in other words, the
-
custom of Paul. When he came to a city, he
-
went into the synagon. So it says he went into
-
them and three Sabbath days somebody say three. Somebody say three?
-
What did he do? Reason with them? Out of the scriptures?
-
Three days? And we can't sit in here comfortably. For
-
thirty minutes.
-
He opening and alligating that Christ must needs have suffered
-
and risen again from the dead, and that this Jesus
-
whom I preach unto you, he is the Christ.
-
So when he did here.
-
In verse three, he was explaining to them and demonstrating
-
to them that Jesus is the Christ, the one that
-
he's ministering about to them in the synagon of the Jews.
-
And they were listening to Paul amen, and some of
-
them believed.
-
Some of them were.
-
Persuaded rather consorting consorted with Paul. Some of them believed,
-
and then they consorted with Paul. In other words, they
-
believe the gospels that he was telling them.
-
And they joined in. And they joined Paul hey Man,
-
and of a.
-
DeVault, and of the default Greeks, and great multitude, and
-
of the chief women, not a few, but the Jews,
-
which believed.
-
Was persuaded by was not persuaded. Rather, but the Jews
-
which believed not.
-
See, you got some people that gonna believe it, and
-
you got some folks that's not gonna believe it. But
-
it's talking about the Jews. Are yell with me with that?
-
He's talking about the Jews? Now, God's chosen some of
-
them Jews believe, and something didn't.
-
And the ones that didn't believe, they was moved with envy.
-
They got upset.
-
Them jokers got upset, and they took him to them
-
certain lewd fellows, which means certain eves, fellows of the basar,
-
certain evil fellas of the marketplace sort, and gathered a
-
company or multitude and set all the city on an
-
uproar and assaulted. They attacked the House of Jason and
-
sought to bring them out to the people. They attacked
-
Jason's house because that's where Paul and Salas were. And
-
when they found them not they had gone on to
-
see God had moved them on out the way that
-
God knew that this riot people were coming for him,
-
so it says.
-
And when they found them not, they drew Jason.
-
So they drew Jason out, and certain brethren unto the
-
rulers of the city.
-
Crying, these that have turned the.
-
World upside down are coming hither. Also they didn't turn
-
it upside down. Who Jason had received. Jason the one
-
took them into his house.
-
And these of all.
-
Do contrary to the decrees of Caesar. They're not telling
-
the truth of Caesar. They tell him the lies of.
-
Jesus Christ Caese upside down.
-
They was telling the truth of Jesus, and it was
-
going against the lies of Caesar, saying that there is
-
another king one Jesus. They saying there's another king, Jesus.
-
See what they Here's what their problem was. They thought
-
that Jesus was gonna be the king in the world.
-
But he's not the king of this world.
-
This is what they thought he was gonna take over
-
the kingdom of Caesar.
-
Nah, he what he came for.
-
He came to be his people's king, not their king,
-
the people's king, his people, whoever were the believers of him.
-
And they were saying, is another king won Jesus. And
-
they troubled the people. They troubled them, They troubled It
-
was a crowd of people.
-
So they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city.
-
When they heard these things, and when they had taken
-
security of Jason and of the other the rest, they
-
let them go. And the brethren immediately sent away Paul
-
and Salace by night. Unto the rah who coming thither
-
went into the synagon of the jew There you go again.
-
He didn't went somewhere else and gone back into synagon.
-
That was his custom. These were more noble. So these
-
folks right here, Mins were a little better. They man
-
were better than the mother folks. Then he went into
-
their synagon. But they Mins were better. Uh.
-
These were more noble than those in the Lonia, in
-
that they.
-
Received the Word with all readiness of mind, and search
-
the scriptures daily, whether those things were sold.
-
See. In other words, what.
-
They did was as he was revealing to them the
-
manuscripts and the and the scribes to them.
-
The word of God ministering to these people.
-
They were looking themselves at what he was talking about
-
to see what he was talking about was the truth,
-
and therefore many of them believed. See the ones that
-
didn't believe back in the other city probably was because
-
they didn't study it to see what if he was
-
really saying the thing that that describes the manuscripts did say.
-
By the prophets.
-
But there were many of them believed, also of honorable
-
women which were Greeks, and of men, not a you,
-
not a few, but many. Amen. So amen, we look
-
at this and we thank God. I say myself, thanks
-
be to God to all that are here today to
-
hear this word from the Lord on the first Sunday
-
of this new year. So thanks be to God to
-
all that are here today. Why, thanks be to God, preacher,
-
because you're here.
-
Not only are.
-
You here, you're here in the House of God on
-
the first Sunday of this new year, looking and thirsting
-
and hungering for even more God.
-
Amen.
-
So I say to you all, may the Holy Spirit
-
open unto us what is so relevant in our present age.
-
What is relevant in our present? What are you saying, Preacher,
-
what's gonna be relevant.
-
In this year to us? From God?
-
When we just look around, we can see that this
-
world is in a.
-
Topsy turning.
-
Upside down dispensation of in this time, the condition is horrible.
-
You may be seated in the house of the Lord.
-
The condition is horrible. Amen, Just you ain't even gotta
-
look far around. So many situations and circumstances are soul
-
soul out of control, inside out and upside down.
-
And guess where it's at.
-
From our schools, to our jobs, to our churches, homes, governments, marriages, businesses, communities,
-
and so on. But I truly thank God for those
-
holy instructions.
-
And divine encouragement that He speaks to us.
-
And what is that encouragement that our God is still
-
somebody say, still in control in this upside down world.
-
So this sermon says to us that we must make
-
the difference.
-
We must make the difference.
-
We we those of us that are claiming Jesus Christ
-
as our Lord and savior. We must make the difference
-
in an upright and an upside down world.
-
We should make the.
-
Difference and live upright in an upside down world.
-
Because see, sometimes only you and your and the character
-
of God in you is all that some people will
-
ever see to turn them around from upside down to
-
upside right. To see you, sister Lane, go through the
-
trials and tribulations that they're going through as a sinner,
-
and the watch you come out smelling like the roses. Well,
-
may calls and draw them to the Jesus that cause
-
you to come.
-
Out of your trials and tribulations. Well, what's going on
-
with you? It's because of God. Baby, It's all God.
-
If it wasn't for the Lord, I would not have
-
made it. He delivered me. So be encouraged through Christ.
-
I believe that what some people think of God is definitely,
-
definitely often based on.
-
How God's children live.
-
Can approve with you, I'll do it anyway. When you
-
see somebody's kids acting a plumb food, then the first
-
thing to come to your mind is his parents didn't
-
raising right?
-
Did y'all get that? Are y'all with me? So what's
-
the first thing you think?
-
Those people think when they see you claiming to be
-
a child of God?
-
Think when you acting a fool? So I believe like
-
I said.
-
That people with people's first impressions is really based on
-
how we present God to them.
-
Amen.
-
You ain't gotta say, man, it's real anyway, because these
-
passes of Scripture is one of those texts that need
-
a little a little bit more explanation. Amen, it's inspirational.
-
Just by reading it. I read it and I was inspired. See,
-
because it's gonna help you to know.
-
All Paul and Silace did was shake the dust off
-
their feet, and see, if you have to learn to do.
-
That, at least you be upset.
-
I messed up in the mind about why the folks
-
ain't receiving what you're trying to tell them, and you
-
know they hadn't for hell, so you frustrated because.
-
They won't listen to you.
-
So this is inspirational to me to know, as God
-
has walked me down many roads before, to know that,
-
because when I first got said, I was trying to
-
jam salvation in people's he is.
-
But God told me, he.
-
Said, son, I didn't tell you to do the work
-
of the Holy Ghost.
-
I didn't tell you to do that.
-
I told you to just plant the seed.
-
And let me do the rest. Amen.
-
See the wisdom of God will cause you to stay
-
in the peace and the joy in your life. Amen,
-
he says, loan nothing. He says, loan expecting nothing in return.
-
So when you loan it and they ain't give it
-
back till you ain't having a hissy fit, because guess what,
-
God don't give it back to as long as you
-
gave it to Him with a good heart.
-
A man. It's the way you give.
-
It to them, whether or not you will receive it.
-
Y'all heard what I'm saying.
-
It's how you get it to them, whether or not
-
you will receive it.
-
Well, it increase.
-
If you gave it to him gradually, then you didn't
-
mean for them to have it in the first place.
-
So I believe, in the sight of God, you ain't
-
did nothing, so you ain't gonna get nothing. Yeah, y'all
-
gotta understand this given thing. Y'all understand this given thing
-
right here, This given thing is so big to God.
-
Y'all understand the thing the things that are.
-
So big to God. Forgiveness is so big to God.
-
Given is so big to God.
-
You know what I said. You know why given is
-
so big to God because He gave us Jesus. It's
-
big to God, and then I given. We got a
-
give as we give it under him. The Bible does
-
say do is all that you do? Do it is
-
you do it under him. Don't think you're doing it
-
as you're doing it unto the to the to the ministry.
-
You're giving to God should be given as you would
-
give it to Jesus. Okay, ain't none somebody? Am I
-
talking about money?
-
Yeah, but I'm just because this first thing come people
-
mind anyway, so let me gonna help you out. But
-
I'm also I'm talking about giving your time, giving your hands.
-
Don't walk past paper in the parking line, give your
-
hand to that thing. You would pick it up if
-
if you saw Jesus coming and saw you're gonna pick
-
it up.
-
Just impressing. Well, he's still seeing you. You can impress.
-
Him, although it's virtually impossible to impress him. But I'm
-
just saying you can think it in your mind if
-
you want to. But this was inspirational just by reading
-
the Book of Acts tells incredible.
-
Histories, hey man, of what happened.
-
See it tells about what happened after jesus death, burial
-
and resurrection and ascension. This phrase of turning the world
-
upside down in verse six, where Christians were accused of
-
this as a testament to their disruption and counter cultural faith. See,
-
their stuff caused disruption because.
-
This ain't what we believe. Y'all calling that the truth?
-
Christians, y'all calling that, yes, the truth because it came
-
from God.
-
So it was disruptive. But get this, this sermon is
-
that the world.
-
This sermon is that the world already is upside down
-
with sin, but.
-
Is made right.
-
Bade the transformation a transformative message of Jesus Christ. The
-
transformative message.
-
Of Jesus Christ.
-
What if you believe will turn your world that's upside
-
down upside right?
-
Amen. And this message comes from the lives of the believers.
-
Aymen, this upside this upright message comes from the believers
-
to the upside down world.
-
But if you ain't speaking it, that's why the world
-
around you is upside down. I said around you. See
-
the believers message.
-
It's challenging to unbiblical norms and virtues and values.
-
It's challenging to them. It's even challenging to.
-
The believer that does not know the truth. And then
-
it's challenging for when the truth comes forth, and I've
-
said many times, even if as I said in Sunday School,
-
the problem with the church today is the truth is
-
going forth, and they've been upside down so long it's
-
hard to believe the truths. That's why our CRIDs like
-
this are not really pertinent in megaministries because they're still
-
upside down.
-
They not preaching sin.
-
They're not telling them women to get some length on
-
your skirt. The mother's setting in there, fifteen twenty of
-
them in their little white outfence, ain't said nothing to
-
these young ladies that don't know the truth.
-
That's what they supposed to be doing. They're supposed to
-
be to custom mom in a tradition of him.
-
Anyway, although it's everybody's job, Amen, somebody. They're not telling them, guys,
-
you ain't supposed to be a lusting after no man.
-
No, They just telling you did God bless you, God
-
love you. God will give you a new house, a
-
new car. And that ain't challenging.
-
But that's even challenging to the people of God because
-
they've been stuck in a and rooted and ground it
-
and false doctrine from false prophets, false bishops, false pastors, teachers,
-
and when the truth is going for it's hard. It's
-
challenging to believe in the truth.
-
It's challenging. There ain't so much challenging to the center.
-
It's challenging to the one that believes.
-
So we found here Paul Silence had been preaching the
-
gospel in Philippi, and a woman named Lida Linda or.
-
Lydia was when they was preaching.
-
She got saved and baptized and shared with them in
-
her home.
-
So she took him in Amen. But on the way
-
there they met another woman.
-
That was possessed with the spirit of devnation that brought
-
much money to her masters.
-
She was a soothsayer and she and they used her
-
to make money.
-
And as she was there was one that listened and
-
got saved. And now there's another woman who is possessed
-
with a demon Amen that came into Paul's and then
-
present as well. And this woman brought much money to
-
her masters. But as she was following Paul in Silace,
-
Paul became grievous in his spirit and commanded the spirit to.
-
Come out of that woman.
-
And the spirit came out, I said, he commanded it
-
to come out, and he commanded it in the name
-
of Jesus, And in the name of Jesus.
-
Every name got a buy and come subject.
-
So that spirit came out of her, and he came
-
out that same hour. The Indian say he came out immediately,
-
say he came out the same hour. Amen, he didn't
-
want to go, Thank you, sister. But when this happened,
-
the people that was using her, the multi million dollar
-
man who was in the ministry that the pastor was using,
-
when he came to his senses and the God of
-
the truth of the gospel, he got upset. Here couldn't
-
get all that money out of him. No more came
-
into the truth of the gospel.
-
Mm.
-
But when the spirit came out of her, and it
-
came out in the same hour, this made her masters.
-
It made them mad and upset because of the loss.
-
They ain't comeing in my heart. It was because of
-
the loss of the money. So they brought Paul and Silas,
-
brought them to the magistrate and had them put in jail. Well,
-
to be honest with you, they weren't.
-
Just in jail. They was in a dungeon.
-
You ever heard somebody say gonna put you under the
-
jail well that's where they were.
-
They was under the jail. So here they were under
-
the jail.
-
For doing an upright thing to something that was upside down.
-
They was doing the right thing, and but they was
-
put in jail for doing it.
-
Then I had to ask you is that upright?
-
Well, here's why we must not compromise when doing right.
-
You see, even though they was brought to the magistrate
-
and told they he told him qut preachure that gospel
-
when when you read the story, he said, who you
-
think I served? Who you think I should serve? Man
-
of God? And they locked him up. He didn't compromise,
-
even though he was going to be put in a dungeon.
-
And when he was put there, they how many people
-
go to jail and when they put you in your
-
cell they leave a handcuffs on you.
-
They don't do that unless there's something wrong with you.
-
But ninety nine point nine percent of the time when
-
they lock you up, they take the handcufs all once
-
they get you behind them bars. Hey man, but here
-
why this is why you don't compromise. This is why
-
you don't compromise because the story is good. When you
-
do right, don't compromise wrong for right, because people are
-
gonna put pressure on you in the right of your doing.
-
And yes, the enemy gonna come and tap you on
-
your mind and say, give you a little try to
-
give you some fear and change your story because it
-
looks kind of fearful now. But don't compromise, hey man.
-
Even though they were in jail, y'all know what they
-
were doing. Let me show you what they were doing.
-
Acts sixteen and verse twenty five.
-
And at midnight and at midnight.
-
Paul in Sialace prayed and singing praises unto God. They
-
not setting in the cell deep thinking about how to
-
get out, thinking about why me or woe is me
-
doing right? And they locked me up? Now they had
-
God on their mind. They had Jesus on the brain,
-
praising Jesus in their troubles.
-
They wasn't complaining they were locked up in a dungeon.
-
Not only was they locked up in the dungeon, but
-
they still had shackles changed on their wrists and on
-
their ankles while they sat in the dungeon.
-
But what was they doing at midnight?
-
Paul and Salads were praying and singing praises under God.
-
And the prisoners heard them. The prisoners heard him, and
-
what happened?
-
And suddenly, in their praising and singing, there was a
-
great earthquake. They sing and praised God to his glory.
-
That God moved. It caused God to move.
-
Because there was true praise God, that praise, holy praise,
-
uncompromised praise, uncomplainable praise, and it moved God. I just
-
say they were crying to God, weeping and mourning. They
-
were praising and singing joyful songs to the Lord, and
-
it moved him. And suddenly there was a great not
-
a little bit is tremor, a great earthquake. And that
-
earthquake was so great that the foundations found, My foundation
-
found their sons.
-
Of the prison was shaken.
-
And when it was shook, immediately all the doors, not
-
just pausing them doors, all the prisoner's doors opened and
-
everyone not just pauling them, but everybody locked up down
-
there because the presence of God was in the place,
-
and everybody received a blessing because God, because paul and
-
silence broke the presence of God, and the blessings in
-
the house, and all the chains on all the prisoners,
-
not just pauling silence.
-
Were loose, just fell off, just fell off.
-
Mm.
-
And when they fell off, the text says they moved out.
-
If the door is open, that suggested me walk through it.
-
God opened so many doors for us, said we.
-
Can stand there and look at it. Just stand there
-
and look at the door.
-
Deep.
-
See, I'll tell you something deep.
-
These folks run around talking about they created the automatic door.
-
None, they didn't. God did that wave back then he
-
created an automatic door without a motor, without a sensor. Yeah.
-
So they moved out and went to Thessalonica and found
-
another synagon. Then then he get out of there and
-
go hold me party. They didn't go to the mall
-
as a man.
-
They ain't gonna try to find him a woman because
-
they've been locked up so long.
-
They went to another synagone.
-
Whoa.
-
That was his practice.
-
That's what he did when he went into a city,
-
he found a synague. That's when I go out of
-
town when sunny rolled around and stay out of town.
-
I'm looking for a synagonue I am. I ain't pretting
-
myself on the back. I'm telling you the truth. I'm
-
looking for a Synagonue. Ain't another city They got out
-
of there. When they left ub out of there, they
-
went to another synaggue. And when they went there, the
-
practice was that they was in for three Sabbath days.
-
And they reasoned and preached with them out of the
-
scribes and manuscripts, the scriptures of the Holy One. Yes,
-
when they got up out of there, they kept preaching
-
the Gospel of the Lord, which they were threatened to
-
not do. They kept going telling everybody about Jesus Christ
-
and souls by the multitude of the Greeks believed and
-
was saved.
-
See, they was on a mission to complete a purpose.
-
Siles. That let you know that no matter what happens,
-
to keep preaching the gospel. Nobody in this house, maybe
-
some folks that's listening, but nobody in.
-
This house been locked up for preaching the gospel. Hey man,
-
So what am I saying?
-
These guys were thrown in a dungeon for preaching the gospel,
-
telling an upright delivering an upright message to an upside
-
down world. And because they did that, and they rebuked demons,
-
they were locked up. Because the preacher couldn't keep fooling
-
the person of the individuals, they got mad. They want
-
you to be upside down, you get upside right, they
-
ain't gonna like you. M M. I had that problem
-
in another ministry when I came into the knowledge of
-
the truth, and I was stabbing coming in it because
-
I stayed in this.
-
My own pastor said, you acting funny now? This is true.
-
He told me this when I went in his office.
-
He said, you acting funny now. I said, yeah, sure him.
-
That was my answer, Deep, I show him acting funny
-
because it's funny to you that I'm not.
-
Doing what you want me to do no more. Yeah,
-
that's funny, that's acting funny. I'm doing what God says do.
-
But if you notice, they begin to continue to preach
-
the gospel of Jesus Christ, and multitudes of Greeks believed
-
and was saved. But noticed that the text shows that
-
verse five there were Jews that believed not, and even
-
today there are.
-
Jews that believe not.
-
They are Jews today that believe that Jesus Christ has
-
never come. And I truly believe they believe that Jesus
-
Christ has never come because they don't want to be
-
it accounted to them that they were the ones.
-
That sacrificed them. That's why the don't want to believe.
-
He ain't never came. We ain't do it. What you mean,
-
I ain't no.
-
Cookies, crumbs all over your face. We ain't do it,
-
blood all over the head.
-
We ain't do it. But there were Jews that did
-
not believe.
-
And then when they didn't believe, they was upset and
-
they would move with envy, and they got mad, and
-
they got and when they got mad, they went and
-
got some folks.
-
With like spirits. Woo, this is fun.
-
Where they get mad at the pastor, they go around
-
and find some members with like spirits. They gotta find
-
some folks with like spirits to come against them. They
-
gathered the people up and then they set the whole
-
city in an uproar. But just as God did that
-
jail thing, he showed up again because he was we
-
like to say he showed up and showed out.
-
Sounds good, But he was already there.
-
He came in the city with him because he said,
-
I never leave you, notf to sak you.
-
So he don't go nowhere. But he was right there with.
-
Them because they couldn't find them, and they had to let.
-
Jason go because he received them in his house. They
-
were mad.
-
You brought this righteousness to her city, That's all they
-
were saying.
-
Where at.
-
They couldn't find, So they had to let Jason look
-
look at God. Not only did he delivered Paul in silence,
-
they had to let Jason go.
-
For helping his men of God. I'm gonna tell you something.
-
If you gonna make an upright impact in an upside
-
down world, you're gonna have to keep the Gospel.
-
In the church. Ain't talking about this building er. You're
-
gonna have to keep the Gospel in the church. You
-
the church. You got to keep it in your mind,
-
in your heart. Art Amen. If you're gonna make an
-
upright impact to the.
-
World, you're gonna have to keep the Gospel in the church.
-
You see, the phrase turning the world upside down refers
-
to the disruption unsettling they had spoken verse five, I
-
believe yes, and verse six. See it's describing the destruction
-
and then settlement and transformative influence of the apostles preaching
-
of the Gospel turned an upside down world upside right.
-
And they didn't like it. It hurts. It hurts. Truth hurts.
-
I don't care what they say about sticks and stones.
-
They lied about that too. See they lied about that
-
too deep. Sticks and stones may break your bones, but
-
words will never harm you. A's a lie.
-
The truths will offend many. The truth is words, amen.
-
But because of their influence, the folks will upset because
-
it challenged the existing society and religious order. And that's
-
what's happening in God's houses today, is that they're listening
-
to folks outside of their pastors, and it's challenging the
-
order of the ministry they.
-
Go to that's not telling them the truth. It challenges
-
and they get confused and they get mad. Pastor that
-
preacher I was listening to last night, he said, he
-
said that were.
-
Looking like hose up in here because our skirts are
-
short and our makeup look like we dived off in
-
a makeup bucket.
-
They can't helen it. It goes against it's disturbing to the.
-
Existing society and religious order, and to them, it's revealing
-
to be morally upside down. Rather than generally turning the
-
world upside down, the apostles were exposing the worlds already
-
falling and corrupt statement and turning it from upside.
-
Down to upside right. Are you with me?
-
Folks? Don't want to know the truth. Some folks do
-
want to know the truth. It's it ain't a hundred percent.
-
Some folks want to know the truth, and some folks
-
just want to believe the truth that they have because
-
it's comfortable to them. Hey, man, it's comfortable. People don't
-
believe it's comfortable. It's comfortable rather.
-
To them to believe that it's all right with God.
-
That I set here Sunday and watched the televangelists when
-
God commanded us to forsake, not the assembly of the Saints.
-
No, I was in church at home. That ain't true.
-
That's not God's truth, and that's not God's will.
-
But that's what they believe, and they're comfortable with it,
-
and it's truth to them.
-
They want to believe that this is just a little sin.
-
There is no little sin. Amen.
-
Man may tell you there's a little sin, but God
-
says all sin will go to hell. Does that sound
-
a little to you? It doesn't sound a little to me.
-
But this gospel was offering a path to a truly
-
up side, a right side up existence only through Jesus Christ.
-
That's what this gospel does. It allows us to have
-
a true, right side up existence. But only through the
-
belief of Jesus Christ can understand from this sermon. We
-
must commit. And that's what a whole lot of people done,
-
got saved. Ain't really good. They ain't commit it.
-
We must commit to living the upright life to an
-
upside down world. You may be the only thing in
-
the world sees that exemplified Jesus Christ. And if you
-
live it upside down, they gonna feel like they're in
-
the right place.
-
He go to church every Sunday. You go to church.
-
The sun comes in this job, cussing, lusting older women,
-
it must be all right. I've even heard people say.
-
A lady asked me one time on the job, when
-
I did work a job, you know at places, She said,
-
you smoke.
-
I said, no, I don't smoke, because she knew who
-
I was.
-
She knew whose I was. I said, no, ma'am, I
-
don't smoke. She said, my pastor smoked cigars.
-
What's wrong with it? My pastor smoke? It was wrong
-
with it.
-
I said, you and your pastor going to hell if
-
you don't change. If you don't change, your pastor leading
-
you right to hell. See darkness only but begets.
-
Darkness, and darkness leads darkness, and if you lay it
-
by darkness, you're gonna fall into to the whole with darkness.
-
I said, no, ma'am. She said, do you drink? She
-
was testing something. I said, no, ma'am, I don't drink either,
-
my fast of drinks. She said it proudly too, not
-
that's a drink. I said, well, I don't do that.
-
I said that any man of God shouldn't do it either,
-
because the Bible said to present your body is to
-
God holy and acceptable, a living sacrifice. You think your
-
body when you presented to God is holy. If it
-
got alcohol in it, you think it's holy. You think
-
it's it's a true offering to God if it got
-
alcohol in it or smoke in your body. And furthermore,
-
God did not create your body to have alcoholic smoking
-
it in the first place.
-
That's why you're having problems with your body. That's why
-
when you.
-
Get saved forty years, you know, and you've been drinking
-
for forty years, your living kidney fell out.
-
Oh you saved, but you done tore up the body.
-
You reaping what you sow.
-
I keep telling folks you can get saved and you
-
still don't reap what you sow. You just mayn reap
-
with mercy because you got savedy.
-
Don't hear what I'm saying. We gotta commit. That's the
-
key in all I doing.
-
Work on it.
-
Hey, man, Wherever you feel, only you God know.
-
And if you don't know, God know, And since God no,
-
ask God what it is because the enemy gonna try
-
to fool you and make you believe you all right,
-
But go to God and say, Lord, what is it
-
that you seeing me that ain't right?
-
Before you? I believe I'm doing all that I know
-
to do. I'm working out the Bible. But again it's
-
something that I'm not doing that I need to be doing.
-
Y'all know that's what happened to Job.
-
Job actually went through what he went. We found that
-
out when we all read the book. Yeah, he was
-
an upright man before God. But God was trying to
-
show Joe something about himself as well through all of that.
-
Sometimes you got a secret hiding place you don't know about.
-
You ever heid something and couldn't find it, something physical,
-
hid it from yourself. But sometimes it's something in you
-
that's hid and you can't see it. You going along
-
doing what God tell you to do. But it's something.
-
That may be in that you don't know about.
-
So you go before God because he seeing he's all sining,
-
because our lives have to be upright to help.
-
Turn an upside down world upside right.
-
We gotta bring the gospel in and put the gospel out.
-
We gotta lift up Jesus, and he will do the drawing.
-
If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto me.
-
Men are not being drawn under him because they ain't
-
lifting up Jesus. Men are not coming in right because
-
they're not lifting up Jesus. They're lifting up man's doctrine.
-
That's why the people ain't coming in. I noticed in
-
the ministry that I was in for years seventeen to
-
almost twenty years in the ministry, and they're preaching the
-
same thing to the people, God gonna bless you if
-
you do this and do that and this and twenty
-
people here in this line, with a hundred and then
-
forty people in that line, with fifteen if you do this,
-
God gonna bless you.
-
I've seen them. Folks continue to live in poverty. No
-
why anybody know why.
-
Man's doctrine and what is man's doctrine cause you to
-
do what men tell you to do. Did God tell
-
you to get in the line and give one hundred dollars?
-
Did he tell you that? And they blame it on God.
-
God said, there's ten people in.
-
Here, and when they get eight off, they get eight
-
folks get to cheer.
-
When he called for ten and fifteen come. They really cheering.
-
But you said God said it, and my Bible says
-
whatever God says comes to past. So at fifteen came,
-
God didn't say it because you said God said ten.
-
Ah, move right along.
-
We got to lift up Jesus and he'll do the drawing.
-
We got to bring prayer, praise and power in to
-
conquer the docness of this world. Brain prayer, bring praise in. Yes,
-
we must bring back the p remembrance of Christ, which
-
means his supreme, unveiled rank and importance in all of
-
creation and salvation.
-
He is first. He's first.
-
That's why I said seek first the Kingdom of God.
-
He is first, he is above all. He is the
-
central to He is central to everything, not just a
-
part of it, but as it's creator, the sustainer, and
-
the head of the church.
-
Let me prove it to you. That's what the Bible
-
says he is. That's who he is.
-
In First Clausius, in Colossius, Chapter one, in verse fifteen,
-
it says, who is the image? Who is the image
-
of the invisible God, the first Born?
-
I told you the first of every creation.
-
For by him were all things created that were in
-
heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether
-
they be thorns or the men, dominions, principalities, are powers.
-
All things were created by him and for him, And
-
he is before all things, and by him all things consists.
-
And he is the head of the body the Church,
-
who is the beginning, the first born from.
-
The dead, that in all things he might have the
-
pre eminence.
-
For it is pleased, For it pleased the Father that
-
in him should all fullness dwell, and having made peace
-
through the blood of the Cross, by him, to reconcile
-
all things unto himself, by him, I say, whether they
-
be things in earth, are things in heaven. This concept
-
stands against false teaching that diminish jesus divine status by
-
showing he is the beginning Amen.
-
Through whom all things were made, and the one who
-
all things are.
-
Reconciled upright life versus upside down world. Sounds like a
-
royal rumble, like a royal spiritual war, rumbling.
-
Amen. Were living in a time where the truth is
-
going forth.
-
But they're gonna be believers and unbelievers. They're gonna be
-
people who are gonna stand fast on what they believe
-
and what they have been believing, and they don't want
-
to change.
-
But I'm here to say it's sad because if the
-
change don't come, they gonna go to hell.
-
Hey man, I mean we just been rooted and grounded
-
and stuff. I was rooted and grounded in a lot
-
of stuff until I.
-
Got the truth.
-
I was rooted and grounded and believing that this is
-
a Baptist church, that's Presbyterian Church of Christ, Church God Christ.
-
Uh pull the mother folks, the Pope's people, Catholic folks.
-
Thank you. I believe all that. But I got the truth.
-
There is no denomination given by God.
-
The Bible says the only thing and the only thing
-
religion that we have is holdiness.
-
What are you? I'm Baptists, What are you? I'm Presbyterian?
-
What are you? When they asked me, I say holding
-
And there are even some being food to say we're
-
non denominational. No such thing. It's not in the Bible.
-
But I can tell you what is in the Bible.
-
The Bible says that you are holy. That's what you are.
-
You're not Baptist. There is no patriarch in the Bible
-
that a ministry is named after. None. John the Baptist didn't.
-
He wouldn't call it John the Baptists because so you
-
can make a Baptist church that was his name.
-
There's no church named after nah patriarch in the Bible,
-
not one.
-
For around to My church is Saint John, Saint Johnny
-
and bah Jesus Christ founded the church. They got aposthetic.
-
Ain't no prosthetic.
-
It's holy. And I ain't saying name your church holiness,
-
see the upside down.
-
Don't want to believe the upside right, So they're doing
-
their own thing, and people believe it. It's hard to
-
break away from something you've been rooted and grounded in
-
for twenty thirty even a year, a.
-
Couple of days. Once you grab a hold of it
-
and really believe it, it's hard to break you away
-
from that. It's hard.
-
It's hard for people to understand that toilet paper that
-
they done took out of their closet at their job
-
is stealing it. In they mind, they got all this
-
toilet papers and they ain't gonna miss this.
-
It ain't no big deal. It ain't no big deal stealing.
-
You're stealing.
-
I'm a close. I went to home depot one time,
-
long time ago, looking at this stuff, buying stuff. I
-
got a screwdriver I wanted to buy, but I had
-
stuff in my hand, so I took that screw drive
-
and put in my back pocket. While I was looking
-
at something, went in and looked at something else, and
-
it's something that you know how your mind do. Went
-
up to the counter, paid for the stuff I had,
-
walked out, got ready to sit down in my car,
-
and felt.
-
That screwdriver in my back pocket. I said, I stole
-
screw that. I didn't steal it, but.
-
I've had got If I had got caught walking through
-
that door, they would have said I stole it, But God,
-
somebody better say but God, it didn't.
-
Let it happened.
-
I mean, this srew driver was sticking out of my
-
pocket in the back of sawt I got out of
-
my car, went right back in there.
-
And put it on the counter. I said, I forgot
-
to pay for this.
-
Because I don't live in an upside down world, ay man.
-
And I wouldn't have thought that's a little thing, not
-
a little thing. If i'd have drove out that lot
-
and wouldn't use this, I done stole that thing. Now
-
knowing that I did not pay for that thing. Hey man,
-
I was, I was, I'm gonna close with this. I
-
was watching one of them judges that shows, and the
-
guy had put her out of his house. She still
-
had a key, though, and she came back later a
-
couple of days later, and she used the key and got.
-
In the house. So when they were sitting in the courtroom,
-
just said, well, how did you get in the house?
-
He said, then you put you out of the house.
-
She said yeah, she said, I didn't break in. I
-
used the key.
-
He said, no, you didn't have permission to go in there.
-
Said even when you use the key, you broke in
-
because you didn't have no business being there. See I
-
said that to say this, that's simple. We would think
-
we all right with that. I got a key, I
-
still got a key. I ain't breaking in. I use
-
my key to get in deep you might have used
-
your key to get in, but you and have permission
-
to use that key to get in, so you broke in.
-
You're wrong.
-
I'm gonna close with this statement. You and me can live,
-
can live, matter of fact. Let's let's let's do it
-
like this. Why don't y'all just close with me?
-
Repeat after me. I can live a upright life in
-
an upside down world. Amen, I'm done. Hey man. So
-
for folks to tell you you gone sin, you can't
-
live without sinning, that ain't what God says. God said,
-
if you've been born of Him, you cannot sin.
-
So you can live an upright life in an upside
-
down world. When people tell you stuff like that and
-
you let it germinate in your mind, it helps you
-
to make excuses. It helps you to make excuses.
-
That you ain't got to do it all the way right.
-
Yes you do.
-
You see, the Lord is still the same, He's not changed.
-
He will not change.
-
See people get confused when they see things change. See, well,
-
God said you got to be circumcised.
-
That was a mosaic covenant son under Jesus Christ and
-
a new covenant. Only thing they got to be circumcised
-
is your heart, not your penis.
-
Amen.
-
God never changes, but God changes things.
-
But God don't change.
-
So for you to think you can do this now
-
because the era and the dispensation of the time, No,
-
God ain't changed.
-
You still can't lie. Amen. He still meant that. Let
-
us stand.
-
You know, I was thinking about prayer and how God
-
gave me the revelation to give this wisdom to each
-
and every one of you because you've been rooted and
-
grounded all your life, that when you pray, you should
-
close your eyes and pray. But that's something that that's
-
man's doctrine. Because see when Jesus listen to this. Listen
-
to this, sister Lane, You're good.
-
Listen.
-
It says that Jesus looked to the Father and prayed.
-
That sounds like he closed his eyes. Is Jesus, for example,
-
how you gonna look to the Father if your eyes
-
are closed?
-
But you see, these are the same things I'm telling
-
you about upside down. This is what preach tell you, y'all.
-
I want to turn it along ago, y'all, buy your
-
head and close your eyes. Now.
-
I was sitting there just like this, beaming lights. I'm
-
bowing my head just like that. But my eyes gonna stay.
-
Open because I gotta look to the Father. I don't
-
want them demons sneaking up on me and I don't
-
see them. Uh, that's how they get you.
-
Women in the Synagonus of God's sitting there with your
-
eyes closing, your head out, and they dig it somebody
-
behind you, dig it in your purse. You get home,
-
you can't find your billfold them because the demon got you.
-
It's happened. It's happened in somewhere.
-
I was once before lad stuff got stolen out of
-
purse while she bound her head, eyes closed and prayer.
-
How then I have a god pray?
-
How come I gonna still beause you wouldn't pay attention.
-
See God want you pay attention when you pray. Ay man,
-
he said, be watchful as well as prayer for that scripture.
-
Let us pray. Father. We want to thank you, thank
-
you for this time. It is my prayer. God.
-
If there is anyone here that's hurting and the mind
-
and the body, I asked that you touch it right
-
now in the name of Jesus, and heal it. Heal
-
their mind, heal their body, if they're hurting in the finances,
-
heal the finances. God, because you know we live in
-
a world. It's necessary that you provide what we need.
-
You know that we need food. You know that we
-
need clothing. We need a place to be, a way
-
to get around, to get to our jobs. Because you
-
said that for a man don't work, he don't eat.
-
So Lord, we need your help in keeping what you
-
would have us to do.
-
In the name of Jesus, we want to thank you God.
-
We wanna thank you Jesus.
-
That you always hear us when we pray, and that
-
you always answer us. Jesus, we thank you for that.
-
We thank you God for the Holy Spirit that lead
-
and guides and teaches us. We thank you God for
-
the life you've given us, for mine that stayed on you.
-
In the name of Jesus Christ.
-
Now touch everyone in this house under the sound of
-
my voice, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
-
Touch now, God keep us. We have a new year.
-
The Lord to be thy will.
-
We'll see all of it, and we'll see it all
-
up under your protection. You'll keep us covered, under your
-
wings of protection. You'll keep our bodies healed. You empower
-
us against the darkness of this world, giving us the
-
strength and the power to not compromise.
-
To the world just to be pleasing to them. Help
-
us to be mindful. You are the only one we
-
are to be pleasing too. Help us, Lord, in the
-
name of Jesus, no.
-
Matter what the circumstance, no matter what the troubles or
-
the trials, Help us to stay focus on you, Lord,
-
because you said.
-
You will fight our battles.
-
You said, put it in your hands, for the burdens
-
are too heavy for us, and the yoke is too heavy.
-
Said you will cover it and carry it upon you, Lord.
-
So we give it to you right now, individually and
-
collectively in Jesus Holy name, we say thank God.
-
Amen, Amen,
