  1. The title to the lesson is that we can live

  2. in an up We can live an.

  3. Upright life in an upside down world.

  4. We can live an upright life in an upside down world.

  5. Upside down world is a world that lies, a world

  6. of no truth. Amen. Amen, So let us get into

  7. this Father.

  8. First, let us go to the to the throne of Grace.

  9. And we don't have to invite him. He's already here,

  10. and we already accept the fact that he's here, and

  11. we always want him to be here because it is

  12. his house. We thank him for accepting us in his

  13. house and accepting us in his presence. In the name

  14. of Jesus, we thank you, Lord, that your word will

  15. go forth and strengthen us.

  16. And enlighten us and impart in us wisdom, knowledge, and

  17. most of all unders.

  18. And then that we may walk up right in thy

  19. sight and in thy presence, in the name of Jesus,

  20. And that thou endour us with power to fight against

  21. the wives in the darks of the enemy, the powers

  22. of darkness.

  23. The rulers of this world, principalities.

  24. You give us the power, and not just power, but

  25. authority to use the power. So Lord, we thank you

  26. in the precious name of Jesus, and we give you

  27. glory and honor in this house. Thank you for filling

  28. us with your spirit and rebuking the enemy it is

  29. always trying to enter end. Thank you for shutting the

  30. door that he cannot open and opening the door that

  31. he cannot shut.

  32. Thank you Jesus. And it is in his name we pray.

  33. Thank God.

  34. Amen and amen, if you would turn with me to

  35. the Book of Acts in the seventeenth chapter. They're gonna

  36. try to be long today, but we'll let God use

  37. me do what he do.

  38. Amen.

  39. I've yet to even try to wrap my mind around

  40. why people come to the house of God in a heiry?

  41. Why do they come to his house in a herry?

  42. Didn't the Lord say he set this day, he set

  43. a day aside for himself, and that day that he

  44. set aside for himself is for his people to come

  45. together and unity, that we may have unify power in

  46. prayer and praise and in worship. So, if you with

  47. me in the Book of Acts in chapter seventeen, say

  48. man so, and starting in verse one, it's just now

  49. when they had passed through Amphileus and Philippus is however't

  50. you say that, and Apolloni, they came to Thatsalone Eca,

  51. where was a synagon of the Jews.

  52. And you didn't hear to say a church of the Jews?

  53. Is he said, a synagon of the Jews, trying to

  54. help us to get away from those things that we

  55. were rooting grounded in.

  56. It's a synagon or temple of the Jews.

  57. And Paul, as his manner was, in other words, the

  58. custom of Paul. When he came to a city, he

  59. went into the synagon. So it says he went into

  60. them and three Sabbath days somebody say three. Somebody say three?

  61. What did he do? Reason with them? Out of the scriptures?

  62. Three days? And we can't sit in here comfortably. For

  63. thirty minutes.

  64. He opening and alligating that Christ must needs have suffered

  65. and risen again from the dead, and that this Jesus

  66. whom I preach unto you, he is the Christ.

  67. So when he did here.

  68. In verse three, he was explaining to them and demonstrating

  69. to them that Jesus is the Christ, the one that

  70. he's ministering about to them in the synagon of the Jews.

  71. And they were listening to Paul amen, and some of

  72. them believed.

  73. Some of them were.

  74. Persuaded rather consorting consorted with Paul. Some of them believed,

  75. and then they consorted with Paul. In other words, they

  76. believe the gospels that he was telling them.

  77. And they joined in. And they joined Paul hey Man,

  78. and of a.

  79. DeVault, and of the default Greeks, and great multitude, and

  80. of the chief women, not a few, but the Jews,

  81. which believed.

  82. Was persuaded by was not persuaded. Rather, but the Jews

  83. which believed not.

  84. See, you got some people that gonna believe it, and

  85. you got some folks that's not gonna believe it. But

  86. it's talking about the Jews. Are yell with me with that?

  87. He's talking about the Jews? Now, God's chosen some of

  88. them Jews believe, and something didn't.

  89. And the ones that didn't believe, they was moved with envy.

  90. They got upset.

  91. Them jokers got upset, and they took him to them

  92. certain lewd fellows, which means certain eves, fellows of the basar,

  93. certain evil fellas of the marketplace sort, and gathered a

  94. company or multitude and set all the city on an

  95. uproar and assaulted. They attacked the House of Jason and

  96. sought to bring them out to the people. They attacked

  97. Jason's house because that's where Paul and Salas were. And

  98. when they found them not they had gone on to

  99. see God had moved them on out the way that

  100. God knew that this riot people were coming for him,

  101. so it says.

  102. And when they found them not, they drew Jason.

  103. So they drew Jason out, and certain brethren unto the

  104. rulers of the city.

  105. Crying, these that have turned the.

  106. World upside down are coming hither. Also they didn't turn

  107. it upside down. Who Jason had received. Jason the one

  108. took them into his house.

  109. And these of all.

  110. Do contrary to the decrees of Caesar. They're not telling

  111. the truth of Caesar. They tell him the lies of.

  112. Jesus Christ Caese upside down.

  113. They was telling the truth of Jesus, and it was

  114. going against the lies of Caesar, saying that there is

  115. another king one Jesus. They saying there's another king, Jesus.

  116. See what they Here's what their problem was. They thought

  117. that Jesus was gonna be the king in the world.

  118. But he's not the king of this world.

  119. This is what they thought he was gonna take over

  120. the kingdom of Caesar.

  121. Nah, he what he came for.

  122. He came to be his people's king, not their king,

  123. the people's king, his people, whoever were the believers of him.

  124. And they were saying, is another king won Jesus. And

  125. they troubled the people. They troubled them, They troubled It

  126. was a crowd of people.

  127. So they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city.

  128. When they heard these things, and when they had taken

  129. security of Jason and of the other the rest, they

  130. let them go. And the brethren immediately sent away Paul

  131. and Salace by night. Unto the rah who coming thither

  132. went into the synagon of the jew There you go again.

  133. He didn't went somewhere else and gone back into synagon.

  134. That was his custom. These were more noble. So these

  135. folks right here, Mins were a little better. They man

  136. were better than the mother folks. Then he went into

  137. their synagon. But they Mins were better. Uh.

  138. These were more noble than those in the Lonia, in

  139. that they.

  140. Received the Word with all readiness of mind, and search

  141. the scriptures daily, whether those things were sold.

  142. See. In other words, what.

  143. They did was as he was revealing to them the

  144. manuscripts and the and the scribes to them.

  145. The word of God ministering to these people.

  146. They were looking themselves at what he was talking about

  147. to see what he was talking about was the truth,

  148. and therefore many of them believed. See the ones that

  149. didn't believe back in the other city probably was because

  150. they didn't study it to see what if he was

  151. really saying the thing that that describes the manuscripts did say.

  152. By the prophets.

  153. But there were many of them believed, also of honorable

  154. women which were Greeks, and of men, not a you,

  155. not a few, but many. Amen. So amen, we look

  156. at this and we thank God. I say myself, thanks

  157. be to God to all that are here today to

  158. hear this word from the Lord on the first Sunday

  159. of this new year. So thanks be to God to

  160. all that are here today. Why, thanks be to God, preacher,

  161. because you're here.

  162. Not only are.

  163. You here, you're here in the House of God on

  164. the first Sunday of this new year, looking and thirsting

  165. and hungering for even more God.

  166. Amen.

  167. So I say to you all, may the Holy Spirit

  168. open unto us what is so relevant in our present age.

  169. What is relevant in our present? What are you saying, Preacher,

  170. what's gonna be relevant.

  171. In this year to us? From God?

  172. When we just look around, we can see that this

  173. world is in a.

  174. Topsy turning.

  175. Upside down dispensation of in this time, the condition is horrible.

  176. You may be seated in the house of the Lord.

  177. The condition is horrible. Amen, Just you ain't even gotta

  178. look far around. So many situations and circumstances are soul

  179. soul out of control, inside out and upside down.

  180. And guess where it's at.

  181. From our schools, to our jobs, to our churches, homes, governments, marriages, businesses, communities,

  182. and so on. But I truly thank God for those

  183. holy instructions.

  184. And divine encouragement that He speaks to us.

  185. And what is that encouragement that our God is still

  186. somebody say, still in control in this upside down world.

  187. So this sermon says to us that we must make

  188. the difference.

  189. We must make the difference.

  190. We we those of us that are claiming Jesus Christ

  191. as our Lord and savior. We must make the difference

  192. in an upright and an upside down world.

  193. We should make the.

  194. Difference and live upright in an upside down world.

  195. Because see, sometimes only you and your and the character

  196. of God in you is all that some people will

  197. ever see to turn them around from upside down to

  198. upside right. To see you, sister Lane, go through the

  199. trials and tribulations that they're going through as a sinner,

  200. and the watch you come out smelling like the roses. Well,

  201. may calls and draw them to the Jesus that cause

  202. you to come.

  203. Out of your trials and tribulations. Well, what's going on

  204. with you? It's because of God. Baby, It's all God.

  205. If it wasn't for the Lord, I would not have

  206. made it. He delivered me. So be encouraged through Christ.

  207. I believe that what some people think of God is definitely,

  208. definitely often based on.

  209. How God's children live.

  210. Can approve with you, I'll do it anyway. When you

  211. see somebody's kids acting a plumb food, then the first

  212. thing to come to your mind is his parents didn't

  213. raising right?

  214. Did y'all get that? Are y'all with me? So what's

  215. the first thing you think?

  216. Those people think when they see you claiming to be

  217. a child of God?

  218. Think when you acting a fool? So I believe like

  219. I said.

  220. That people with people's first impressions is really based on

  221. how we present God to them.

  222. Amen.

  223. You ain't gotta say, man, it's real anyway, because these

  224. passes of Scripture is one of those texts that need

  225. a little a little bit more explanation. Amen, it's inspirational.

  226. Just by reading it. I read it and I was inspired. See,

  227. because it's gonna help you to know.

  228. All Paul and Silace did was shake the dust off

  229. their feet, and see, if you have to learn to do.

  230. That, at least you be upset.

  231. I messed up in the mind about why the folks

  232. ain't receiving what you're trying to tell them, and you

  233. know they hadn't for hell, so you frustrated because.

  234. They won't listen to you.

  235. So this is inspirational to me to know, as God

  236. has walked me down many roads before, to know that,

  237. because when I first got said, I was trying to

  238. jam salvation in people's he is.

  239. But God told me, he.

  240. Said, son, I didn't tell you to do the work

  241. of the Holy Ghost.

  242. I didn't tell you to do that.

  243. I told you to just plant the seed.

  244. And let me do the rest. Amen.

  245. See the wisdom of God will cause you to stay

  246. in the peace and the joy in your life. Amen,

  247. he says, loan nothing. He says, loan expecting nothing in return.

  248. So when you loan it and they ain't give it

  249. back till you ain't having a hissy fit, because guess what,

  250. God don't give it back to as long as you

  251. gave it to Him with a good heart.

  252. A man. It's the way you give.

  253. It to them, whether or not you will receive it.

  254. Y'all heard what I'm saying.

  255. It's how you get it to them, whether or not

  256. you will receive it.

  257. Well, it increase.

  258. If you gave it to him gradually, then you didn't

  259. mean for them to have it in the first place.

  260. So I believe, in the sight of God, you ain't

  261. did nothing, so you ain't gonna get nothing. Yeah, y'all

  262. gotta understand this given thing. Y'all understand this given thing

  263. right here, This given thing is so big to God.

  264. Y'all understand the thing the things that are.

  265. So big to God. Forgiveness is so big to God.

  266. Given is so big to God.

  267. You know what I said. You know why given is

  268. so big to God because He gave us Jesus. It's

  269. big to God, and then I given. We got a

  270. give as we give it under him. The Bible does

  271. say do is all that you do? Do it is

  272. you do it under him. Don't think you're doing it

  273. as you're doing it unto the to the to the ministry.

  274. You're giving to God should be given as you would

  275. give it to Jesus. Okay, ain't none somebody? Am I

  276. talking about money?

  277. Yeah, but I'm just because this first thing come people

  278. mind anyway, so let me gonna help you out. But

  279. I'm also I'm talking about giving your time, giving your hands.

  280. Don't walk past paper in the parking line, give your

  281. hand to that thing. You would pick it up if

  282. if you saw Jesus coming and saw you're gonna pick

  283. it up.

  284. Just impressing. Well, he's still seeing you. You can impress.

  285. Him, although it's virtually impossible to impress him. But I'm

  286. just saying you can think it in your mind if

  287. you want to. But this was inspirational just by reading

  288. the Book of Acts tells incredible.

  289. Histories, hey man, of what happened.

  290. See it tells about what happened after jesus death, burial

  291. and resurrection and ascension. This phrase of turning the world

  292. upside down in verse six, where Christians were accused of

  293. this as a testament to their disruption and counter cultural faith. See,

  294. their stuff caused disruption because.

  295. This ain't what we believe. Y'all calling that the truth?

  296. Christians, y'all calling that, yes, the truth because it came

  297. from God.

  298. So it was disruptive. But get this, this sermon is

  299. that the world.

  300. This sermon is that the world already is upside down

  301. with sin, but.

  302. Is made right.

  303. Bade the transformation a transformative message of Jesus Christ. The

  304. transformative message.

  305. Of Jesus Christ.

  306. What if you believe will turn your world that's upside

  307. down upside right?

  308. Amen. And this message comes from the lives of the believers.

  309. Aymen, this upside this upright message comes from the believers

  310. to the upside down world.

  311. But if you ain't speaking it, that's why the world

  312. around you is upside down. I said around you. See

  313. the believers message.

  314. It's challenging to unbiblical norms and virtues and values.

  315. It's challenging to them. It's even challenging to.

  316. The believer that does not know the truth. And then

  317. it's challenging for when the truth comes forth, and I've

  318. said many times, even if as I said in Sunday School,

  319. the problem with the church today is the truth is

  320. going forth, and they've been upside down so long it's

  321. hard to believe the truths. That's why our CRIDs like

  322. this are not really pertinent in megaministries because they're still

  323. upside down.

  324. They not preaching sin.

  325. They're not telling them women to get some length on

  326. your skirt. The mother's setting in there, fifteen twenty of

  327. them in their little white outfence, ain't said nothing to

  328. these young ladies that don't know the truth.

  329. That's what they supposed to be doing. They're supposed to

  330. be to custom mom in a tradition of him.

  331. Anyway, although it's everybody's job, Amen, somebody. They're not telling them, guys,

  332. you ain't supposed to be a lusting after no man.

  333. No, They just telling you did God bless you, God

  334. love you. God will give you a new house, a

  335. new car. And that ain't challenging.

  336. But that's even challenging to the people of God because

  337. they've been stuck in a and rooted and ground it

  338. and false doctrine from false prophets, false bishops, false pastors, teachers,

  339. and when the truth is going for it's hard. It's

  340. challenging to believe in the truth.

  341. It's challenging. There ain't so much challenging to the center.

  342. It's challenging to the one that believes.

  343. So we found here Paul Silence had been preaching the

  344. gospel in Philippi, and a woman named Lida Linda or.

  345. Lydia was when they was preaching.

  346. She got saved and baptized and shared with them in

  347. her home.

  348. So she took him in Amen. But on the way

  349. there they met another woman.

  350. That was possessed with the spirit of devnation that brought

  351. much money to her masters.

  352. She was a soothsayer and she and they used her

  353. to make money.

  354. And as she was there was one that listened and

  355. got saved. And now there's another woman who is possessed

  356. with a demon Amen that came into Paul's and then

  357. present as well. And this woman brought much money to

  358. her masters. But as she was following Paul in Silace,

  359. Paul became grievous in his spirit and commanded the spirit to.

  360. Come out of that woman.

  361. And the spirit came out, I said, he commanded it

  362. to come out, and he commanded it in the name

  363. of Jesus, And in the name of Jesus.

  364. Every name got a buy and come subject.

  365. So that spirit came out of her, and he came

  366. out that same hour. The Indian say he came out immediately,

  367. say he came out the same hour. Amen, he didn't

  368. want to go, Thank you, sister. But when this happened,

  369. the people that was using her, the multi million dollar

  370. man who was in the ministry that the pastor was using,

  371. when he came to his senses and the God of

  372. the truth of the gospel, he got upset. Here couldn't

  373. get all that money out of him. No more came

  374. into the truth of the gospel.

  375. Mm.

  376. But when the spirit came out of her, and it

  377. came out in the same hour, this made her masters.

  378. It made them mad and upset because of the loss.

  379. They ain't comeing in my heart. It was because of

  380. the loss of the money. So they brought Paul and Silas,

  381. brought them to the magistrate and had them put in jail. Well,

  382. to be honest with you, they weren't.

  383. Just in jail. They was in a dungeon.

  384. You ever heard somebody say gonna put you under the

  385. jail well that's where they were.

  386. They was under the jail. So here they were under

  387. the jail.

  388. For doing an upright thing to something that was upside down.

  389. They was doing the right thing, and but they was

  390. put in jail for doing it.

  391. Then I had to ask you is that upright?

  392. Well, here's why we must not compromise when doing right.

  393. You see, even though they was brought to the magistrate

  394. and told they he told him qut preachure that gospel

  395. when when you read the story, he said, who you

  396. think I served? Who you think I should serve? Man

  397. of God? And they locked him up. He didn't compromise,

  398. even though he was going to be put in a dungeon.

  399. And when he was put there, they how many people

  400. go to jail and when they put you in your

  401. cell they leave a handcuffs on you.

  402. They don't do that unless there's something wrong with you.

  403. But ninety nine point nine percent of the time when

  404. they lock you up, they take the handcufs all once

  405. they get you behind them bars. Hey man, but here

  406. why this is why you don't compromise. This is why

  407. you don't compromise because the story is good. When you

  408. do right, don't compromise wrong for right, because people are

  409. gonna put pressure on you in the right of your doing.

  410. And yes, the enemy gonna come and tap you on

  411. your mind and say, give you a little try to

  412. give you some fear and change your story because it

  413. looks kind of fearful now. But don't compromise, hey man.

  414. Even though they were in jail, y'all know what they

  415. were doing. Let me show you what they were doing.

  416. Acts sixteen and verse twenty five.

  417. And at midnight and at midnight.

  418. Paul in Sialace prayed and singing praises unto God. They

  419. not setting in the cell deep thinking about how to

  420. get out, thinking about why me or woe is me

  421. doing right? And they locked me up? Now they had

  422. God on their mind. They had Jesus on the brain,

  423. praising Jesus in their troubles.

  424. They wasn't complaining they were locked up in a dungeon.

  425. Not only was they locked up in the dungeon, but

  426. they still had shackles changed on their wrists and on

  427. their ankles while they sat in the dungeon.

  428. But what was they doing at midnight?

  429. Paul and Salads were praying and singing praises under God.

  430. And the prisoners heard them. The prisoners heard him, and

  431. what happened?

  432. And suddenly, in their praising and singing, there was a

  433. great earthquake. They sing and praised God to his glory.

  434. That God moved. It caused God to move.

  435. Because there was true praise God, that praise, holy praise,

  436. uncompromised praise, uncomplainable praise, and it moved God. I just

  437. say they were crying to God, weeping and mourning. They

  438. were praising and singing joyful songs to the Lord, and

  439. it moved him. And suddenly there was a great not

  440. a little bit is tremor, a great earthquake. And that

  441. earthquake was so great that the foundations found, My foundation

  442. found their sons.

  443. Of the prison was shaken.

  444. And when it was shook, immediately all the doors, not

  445. just pausing them doors, all the prisoner's doors opened and

  446. everyone not just pauling them, but everybody locked up down

  447. there because the presence of God was in the place,

  448. and everybody received a blessing because God, because paul and

  449. silence broke the presence of God, and the blessings in

  450. the house, and all the chains on all the prisoners,

  451. not just pauling silence.

  452. Were loose, just fell off, just fell off.

  453. Mm.

  454. And when they fell off, the text says they moved out.

  455. If the door is open, that suggested me walk through it.

  456. God opened so many doors for us, said we.

  457. Can stand there and look at it. Just stand there

  458. and look at the door.

  459. Deep.

  460. See, I'll tell you something deep.

  461. These folks run around talking about they created the automatic door.

  462. None, they didn't. God did that wave back then he

  463. created an automatic door without a motor, without a sensor. Yeah.

  464. So they moved out and went to Thessalonica and found

  465. another synagon. Then then he get out of there and

  466. go hold me party. They didn't go to the mall

  467. as a man.

  468. They ain't gonna try to find him a woman because

  469. they've been locked up so long.

  470. They went to another synagone.

  471. Whoa.

  472. That was his practice.

  473. That's what he did when he went into a city,

  474. he found a synague. That's when I go out of

  475. town when sunny rolled around and stay out of town.

  476. I'm looking for a synagonue I am. I ain't pretting

  477. myself on the back. I'm telling you the truth. I'm

  478. looking for a Synagonue. Ain't another city They got out

  479. of there. When they left ub out of there, they

  480. went to another synaggue. And when they went there, the

  481. practice was that they was in for three Sabbath days.

  482. And they reasoned and preached with them out of the

  483. scribes and manuscripts, the scriptures of the Holy One. Yes,

  484. when they got up out of there, they kept preaching

  485. the Gospel of the Lord, which they were threatened to

  486. not do. They kept going telling everybody about Jesus Christ

  487. and souls by the multitude of the Greeks believed and

  488. was saved.

  489. See, they was on a mission to complete a purpose.

  490. Siles. That let you know that no matter what happens,

  491. to keep preaching the gospel. Nobody in this house, maybe

  492. some folks that's listening, but nobody in.

  493. This house been locked up for preaching the gospel. Hey man,

  494. So what am I saying?

  495. These guys were thrown in a dungeon for preaching the gospel,

  496. telling an upright delivering an upright message to an upside

  497. down world. And because they did that, and they rebuked demons,

  498. they were locked up. Because the preacher couldn't keep fooling

  499. the person of the individuals, they got mad. They want

  500. you to be upside down, you get upside right, they

  501. ain't gonna like you. M M. I had that problem

  502. in another ministry when I came into the knowledge of

  503. the truth, and I was stabbing coming in it because

  504. I stayed in this.

  505. My own pastor said, you acting funny now? This is true.

  506. He told me this when I went in his office.

  507. He said, you acting funny now. I said, yeah, sure him.

  508. That was my answer, Deep, I show him acting funny

  509. because it's funny to you that I'm not.

  510. Doing what you want me to do no more. Yeah,

  511. that's funny, that's acting funny. I'm doing what God says do.

  512. But if you notice, they begin to continue to preach

  513. the gospel of Jesus Christ, and multitudes of Greeks believed

  514. and was saved. But noticed that the text shows that

  515. verse five there were Jews that believed not, and even

  516. today there are.

  517. Jews that believe not.

  518. They are Jews today that believe that Jesus Christ has

  519. never come. And I truly believe they believe that Jesus

  520. Christ has never come because they don't want to be

  521. it accounted to them that they were the ones.

  522. That sacrificed them. That's why the don't want to believe.

  523. He ain't never came. We ain't do it. What you mean,

  524. I ain't no.

  525. Cookies, crumbs all over your face. We ain't do it,

  526. blood all over the head.

  527. We ain't do it. But there were Jews that did

  528. not believe.

  529. And then when they didn't believe, they was upset and

  530. they would move with envy, and they got mad, and

  531. they got and when they got mad, they went and

  532. got some folks.

  533. With like spirits. Woo, this is fun.

  534. Where they get mad at the pastor, they go around

  535. and find some members with like spirits. They gotta find

  536. some folks with like spirits to come against them. They

  537. gathered the people up and then they set the whole

  538. city in an uproar. But just as God did that

  539. jail thing, he showed up again because he was we

  540. like to say he showed up and showed out.

  541. Sounds good, But he was already there.

  542. He came in the city with him because he said,

  543. I never leave you, notf to sak you.

  544. So he don't go nowhere. But he was right there with.

  545. Them because they couldn't find them, and they had to let.

  546. Jason go because he received them in his house. They

  547. were mad.

  548. You brought this righteousness to her city, That's all they

  549. were saying.

  550. Where at.

  551. They couldn't find, So they had to let Jason look

  552. look at God. Not only did he delivered Paul in silence,

  553. they had to let Jason go.

  554. For helping his men of God. I'm gonna tell you something.

  555. If you gonna make an upright impact in an upside

  556. down world, you're gonna have to keep the Gospel.

  557. In the church. Ain't talking about this building er. You're

  558. gonna have to keep the Gospel in the church. You

  559. the church. You got to keep it in your mind,

  560. in your heart. Art Amen. If you're gonna make an

  561. upright impact to the.

  562. World, you're gonna have to keep the Gospel in the church.

  563. You see, the phrase turning the world upside down refers

  564. to the disruption unsettling they had spoken verse five, I

  565. believe yes, and verse six. See it's describing the destruction

  566. and then settlement and transformative influence of the apostles preaching

  567. of the Gospel turned an upside down world upside right.

  568. And they didn't like it. It hurts. It hurts. Truth hurts.

  569. I don't care what they say about sticks and stones.

  570. They lied about that too. See they lied about that

  571. too deep. Sticks and stones may break your bones, but

  572. words will never harm you. A's a lie.

  573. The truths will offend many. The truth is words, amen.

  574. But because of their influence, the folks will upset because

  575. it challenged the existing society and religious order. And that's

  576. what's happening in God's houses today, is that they're listening

  577. to folks outside of their pastors, and it's challenging the

  578. order of the ministry they.

  579. Go to that's not telling them the truth. It challenges

  580. and they get confused and they get mad. Pastor that

  581. preacher I was listening to last night, he said, he

  582. said that were.

  583. Looking like hose up in here because our skirts are

  584. short and our makeup look like we dived off in

  585. a makeup bucket.

  586. They can't helen it. It goes against it's disturbing to the.

  587. Existing society and religious order, and to them, it's revealing

  588. to be morally upside down. Rather than generally turning the

  589. world upside down, the apostles were exposing the worlds already

  590. falling and corrupt statement and turning it from upside.

  591. Down to upside right. Are you with me?

  592. Folks? Don't want to know the truth. Some folks do

  593. want to know the truth. It's it ain't a hundred percent.

  594. Some folks want to know the truth, and some folks

  595. just want to believe the truth that they have because

  596. it's comfortable to them. Hey, man, it's comfortable. People don't

  597. believe it's comfortable. It's comfortable rather.

  598. To them to believe that it's all right with God.

  599. That I set here Sunday and watched the televangelists when

  600. God commanded us to forsake, not the assembly of the Saints.

  601. No, I was in church at home. That ain't true.

  602. That's not God's truth, and that's not God's will.

  603. But that's what they believe, and they're comfortable with it,

  604. and it's truth to them.

  605. They want to believe that this is just a little sin.

  606. There is no little sin. Amen.

  607. Man may tell you there's a little sin, but God

  608. says all sin will go to hell. Does that sound

  609. a little to you? It doesn't sound a little to me.

  610. But this gospel was offering a path to a truly

  611. up side, a right side up existence only through Jesus Christ.

  612. That's what this gospel does. It allows us to have

  613. a true, right side up existence. But only through the

  614. belief of Jesus Christ can understand from this sermon. We

  615. must commit. And that's what a whole lot of people done,

  616. got saved. Ain't really good. They ain't commit it.

  617. We must commit to living the upright life to an

  618. upside down world. You may be the only thing in

  619. the world sees that exemplified Jesus Christ. And if you

  620. live it upside down, they gonna feel like they're in

  621. the right place.

  622. He go to church every Sunday. You go to church.

  623. The sun comes in this job, cussing, lusting older women,

  624. it must be all right. I've even heard people say.

  625. A lady asked me one time on the job, when

  626. I did work a job, you know at places, She said,

  627. you smoke.

  628. I said, no, I don't smoke, because she knew who

  629. I was.

  630. She knew whose I was. I said, no, ma'am, I

  631. don't smoke. She said, my pastor smoked cigars.

  632. What's wrong with it? My pastor smoke? It was wrong

  633. with it.

  634. I said, you and your pastor going to hell if

  635. you don't change. If you don't change, your pastor leading

  636. you right to hell. See darkness only but begets.

  637. Darkness, and darkness leads darkness, and if you lay it

  638. by darkness, you're gonna fall into to the whole with darkness.

  639. I said, no, ma'am. She said, do you drink? She

  640. was testing something. I said, no, ma'am, I don't drink either,

  641. my fast of drinks. She said it proudly too, not

  642. that's a drink. I said, well, I don't do that.

  643. I said that any man of God shouldn't do it either,

  644. because the Bible said to present your body is to

  645. God holy and acceptable, a living sacrifice. You think your

  646. body when you presented to God is holy. If it

  647. got alcohol in it, you think it's holy. You think

  648. it's it's a true offering to God if it got

  649. alcohol in it or smoke in your body. And furthermore,

  650. God did not create your body to have alcoholic smoking

  651. it in the first place.

  652. That's why you're having problems with your body. That's why

  653. when you.

  654. Get saved forty years, you know, and you've been drinking

  655. for forty years, your living kidney fell out.

  656. Oh you saved, but you done tore up the body.

  657. You reaping what you sow.

  658. I keep telling folks you can get saved and you

  659. still don't reap what you sow. You just mayn reap

  660. with mercy because you got savedy.

  661. Don't hear what I'm saying. We gotta commit. That's the

  662. key in all I doing.

  663. Work on it.

  664. Hey, man, Wherever you feel, only you God know.

  665. And if you don't know, God know, And since God no,

  666. ask God what it is because the enemy gonna try

  667. to fool you and make you believe you all right,

  668. But go to God and say, Lord, what is it

  669. that you seeing me that ain't right?

  670. Before you? I believe I'm doing all that I know

  671. to do. I'm working out the Bible. But again it's

  672. something that I'm not doing that I need to be doing.

  673. Y'all know that's what happened to Job.

  674. Job actually went through what he went. We found that

  675. out when we all read the book. Yeah, he was

  676. an upright man before God. But God was trying to

  677. show Joe something about himself as well through all of that.

  678. Sometimes you got a secret hiding place you don't know about.

  679. You ever heid something and couldn't find it, something physical,

  680. hid it from yourself. But sometimes it's something in you

  681. that's hid and you can't see it. You going along

  682. doing what God tell you to do. But it's something.

  683. That may be in that you don't know about.

  684. So you go before God because he seeing he's all sining,

  685. because our lives have to be upright to help.

  686. Turn an upside down world upside right.

  687. We gotta bring the gospel in and put the gospel out.

  688. We gotta lift up Jesus, and he will do the drawing.

  689. If I be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto me.

  690. Men are not being drawn under him because they ain't

  691. lifting up Jesus. Men are not coming in right because

  692. they're not lifting up Jesus. They're lifting up man's doctrine.

  693. That's why the people ain't coming in. I noticed in

  694. the ministry that I was in for years seventeen to

  695. almost twenty years in the ministry, and they're preaching the

  696. same thing to the people, God gonna bless you if

  697. you do this and do that and this and twenty

  698. people here in this line, with a hundred and then

  699. forty people in that line, with fifteen if you do this,

  700. God gonna bless you.

  701. I've seen them. Folks continue to live in poverty. No

  702. why anybody know why.

  703. Man's doctrine and what is man's doctrine cause you to

  704. do what men tell you to do. Did God tell

  705. you to get in the line and give one hundred dollars?

  706. Did he tell you that? And they blame it on God.

  707. God said, there's ten people in.

  708. Here, and when they get eight off, they get eight

  709. folks get to cheer.

  710. When he called for ten and fifteen come. They really cheering.

  711. But you said God said it, and my Bible says

  712. whatever God says comes to past. So at fifteen came,

  713. God didn't say it because you said God said ten.

  714. Ah, move right along.

  715. We got to lift up Jesus and he'll do the drawing.

  716. We got to bring prayer, praise and power in to

  717. conquer the docness of this world. Brain prayer, bring praise in. Yes,

  718. we must bring back the p remembrance of Christ, which

  719. means his supreme, unveiled rank and importance in all of

  720. creation and salvation.

  721. He is first. He's first.

  722. That's why I said seek first the Kingdom of God.

  723. He is first, he is above all. He is the

  724. central to He is central to everything, not just a

  725. part of it, but as it's creator, the sustainer, and

  726. the head of the church.

  727. Let me prove it to you. That's what the Bible

  728. says he is. That's who he is.

  729. In First Clausius, in Colossius, Chapter one, in verse fifteen,

  730. it says, who is the image? Who is the image

  731. of the invisible God, the first Born?

  732. I told you the first of every creation.

  733. For by him were all things created that were in

  734. heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether

  735. they be thorns or the men, dominions, principalities, are powers.

  736. All things were created by him and for him, And

  737. he is before all things, and by him all things consists.

  738. And he is the head of the body the Church,

  739. who is the beginning, the first born from.

  740. The dead, that in all things he might have the

  741. pre eminence.

  742. For it is pleased, For it pleased the Father that

  743. in him should all fullness dwell, and having made peace

  744. through the blood of the Cross, by him, to reconcile

  745. all things unto himself, by him, I say, whether they

  746. be things in earth, are things in heaven. This concept

  747. stands against false teaching that diminish jesus divine status by

  748. showing he is the beginning Amen.

  749. Through whom all things were made, and the one who

  750. all things are.

  751. Reconciled upright life versus upside down world. Sounds like a

  752. royal rumble, like a royal spiritual war, rumbling.

  753. Amen. Were living in a time where the truth is

  754. going forth.

  755. But they're gonna be believers and unbelievers. They're gonna be

  756. people who are gonna stand fast on what they believe

  757. and what they have been believing, and they don't want

  758. to change.

  759. But I'm here to say it's sad because if the

  760. change don't come, they gonna go to hell.

  761. Hey man, I mean we just been rooted and grounded

  762. and stuff. I was rooted and grounded in a lot

  763. of stuff until I.

  764. Got the truth.

  765. I was rooted and grounded and believing that this is

  766. a Baptist church, that's Presbyterian Church of Christ, Church God Christ.

  767. Uh pull the mother folks, the Pope's people, Catholic folks.

  768. Thank you. I believe all that. But I got the truth.

  769. There is no denomination given by God.

  770. The Bible says the only thing and the only thing

  771. religion that we have is holdiness.

  772. What are you? I'm Baptists, What are you? I'm Presbyterian?

  773. What are you? When they asked me, I say holding

  774. And there are even some being food to say we're

  775. non denominational. No such thing. It's not in the Bible.

  776. But I can tell you what is in the Bible.

  777. The Bible says that you are holy. That's what you are.

  778. You're not Baptist. There is no patriarch in the Bible

  779. that a ministry is named after. None. John the Baptist didn't.

  780. He wouldn't call it John the Baptists because so you

  781. can make a Baptist church that was his name.

  782. There's no church named after nah patriarch in the Bible,

  783. not one.

  784. For around to My church is Saint John, Saint Johnny

  785. and bah Jesus Christ founded the church. They got aposthetic.

  786. Ain't no prosthetic.

  787. It's holy. And I ain't saying name your church holiness,

  788. see the upside down.

  789. Don't want to believe the upside right, So they're doing

  790. their own thing, and people believe it. It's hard to

  791. break away from something you've been rooted and grounded in

  792. for twenty thirty even a year, a.

  793. Couple of days. Once you grab a hold of it

  794. and really believe it, it's hard to break you away

  795. from that. It's hard.

  796. It's hard for people to understand that toilet paper that

  797. they done took out of their closet at their job

  798. is stealing it. In they mind, they got all this

  799. toilet papers and they ain't gonna miss this.

  800. It ain't no big deal. It ain't no big deal stealing.

  801. You're stealing.

  802. I'm a close. I went to home depot one time,

  803. long time ago, looking at this stuff, buying stuff. I

  804. got a screwdriver I wanted to buy, but I had

  805. stuff in my hand, so I took that screw drive

  806. and put in my back pocket. While I was looking

  807. at something, went in and looked at something else, and

  808. it's something that you know how your mind do. Went

  809. up to the counter, paid for the stuff I had,

  810. walked out, got ready to sit down in my car,

  811. and felt.

  812. That screwdriver in my back pocket. I said, I stole

  813. screw that. I didn't steal it, but.

  814. I've had got If I had got caught walking through

  815. that door, they would have said I stole it, But God,

  816. somebody better say but God, it didn't.

  817. Let it happened.

  818. I mean, this srew driver was sticking out of my

  819. pocket in the back of sawt I got out of

  820. my car, went right back in there.

  821. And put it on the counter. I said, I forgot

  822. to pay for this.

  823. Because I don't live in an upside down world, ay man.

  824. And I wouldn't have thought that's a little thing, not

  825. a little thing. If i'd have drove out that lot

  826. and wouldn't use this, I done stole that thing. Now

  827. knowing that I did not pay for that thing. Hey man,

  828. I was, I was, I'm gonna close with this. I

  829. was watching one of them judges that shows, and the

  830. guy had put her out of his house. She still

  831. had a key, though, and she came back later a

  832. couple of days later, and she used the key and got.

  833. In the house. So when they were sitting in the courtroom,

  834. just said, well, how did you get in the house?

  835. He said, then you put you out of the house.

  836. She said yeah, she said, I didn't break in. I

  837. used the key.

  838. He said, no, you didn't have permission to go in there.

  839. Said even when you use the key, you broke in

  840. because you didn't have no business being there. See I

  841. said that to say this, that's simple. We would think

  842. we all right with that. I got a key, I

  843. still got a key. I ain't breaking in. I use

  844. my key to get in deep you might have used

  845. your key to get in, but you and have permission

  846. to use that key to get in, so you broke in.

  847. You're wrong.

  848. I'm gonna close with this statement. You and me can live,

  849. can live, matter of fact. Let's let's let's do it

  850. like this. Why don't y'all just close with me?

  851. Repeat after me. I can live a upright life in

  852. an upside down world. Amen, I'm done. Hey man. So

  853. for folks to tell you you gone sin, you can't

  854. live without sinning, that ain't what God says. God said,

  855. if you've been born of Him, you cannot sin.

  856. So you can live an upright life in an upside

  857. down world. When people tell you stuff like that and

  858. you let it germinate in your mind, it helps you

  859. to make excuses. It helps you to make excuses.

  860. That you ain't got to do it all the way right.

  861. Yes you do.

  862. You see, the Lord is still the same, He's not changed.

  863. He will not change.

  864. See people get confused when they see things change. See, well,

  865. God said you got to be circumcised.

  866. That was a mosaic covenant son under Jesus Christ and

  867. a new covenant. Only thing they got to be circumcised

  868. is your heart, not your penis.

  869. Amen.

  870. God never changes, but God changes things.

  871. But God don't change.

  872. So for you to think you can do this now

  873. because the era and the dispensation of the time, No,

  874. God ain't changed.

  875. You still can't lie. Amen. He still meant that. Let

  876. us stand.

  877. You know, I was thinking about prayer and how God

  878. gave me the revelation to give this wisdom to each

  879. and every one of you because you've been rooted and

  880. grounded all your life, that when you pray, you should

  881. close your eyes and pray. But that's something that that's

  882. man's doctrine. Because see when Jesus listen to this. Listen

  883. to this, sister Lane, You're good.

  884. Listen.

  885. It says that Jesus looked to the Father and prayed.

  886. That sounds like he closed his eyes. Is Jesus, for example,

  887. how you gonna look to the Father if your eyes

  888. are closed?

  889. But you see, these are the same things I'm telling

  890. you about upside down. This is what preach tell you, y'all.

  891. I want to turn it along ago, y'all, buy your

  892. head and close your eyes. Now.

  893. I was sitting there just like this, beaming lights. I'm

  894. bowing my head just like that. But my eyes gonna stay.

  895. Open because I gotta look to the Father. I don't

  896. want them demons sneaking up on me and I don't

  897. see them. Uh, that's how they get you.

  898. Women in the Synagonus of God's sitting there with your

  899. eyes closing, your head out, and they dig it somebody

  900. behind you, dig it in your purse. You get home,

  901. you can't find your billfold them because the demon got you.

  902. It's happened. It's happened in somewhere.

  903. I was once before lad stuff got stolen out of

  904. purse while she bound her head, eyes closed and prayer.

  905. How then I have a god pray?

  906. How come I gonna still beause you wouldn't pay attention.

  907. See God want you pay attention when you pray. Ay man,

  908. he said, be watchful as well as prayer for that scripture.

  909. Let us pray. Father. We want to thank you, thank

  910. you for this time. It is my prayer. God.

  911. If there is anyone here that's hurting and the mind

  912. and the body, I asked that you touch it right

  913. now in the name of Jesus, and heal it. Heal

  914. their mind, heal their body, if they're hurting in the finances,

  915. heal the finances. God, because you know we live in

  916. a world. It's necessary that you provide what we need.

  917. You know that we need food. You know that we

  918. need clothing. We need a place to be, a way

  919. to get around, to get to our jobs. Because you

  920. said that for a man don't work, he don't eat.

  921. So Lord, we need your help in keeping what you

  922. would have us to do.

  923. In the name of Jesus, we want to thank you God.

  924. We wanna thank you Jesus.

  925. That you always hear us when we pray, and that

  926. you always answer us. Jesus, we thank you for that.

  927. We thank you God for the Holy Spirit that lead

  928. and guides and teaches us. We thank you God for

  929. the life you've given us, for mine that stayed on you.

  930. In the name of Jesus Christ.

  931. Now touch everyone in this house under the sound of

  932. my voice, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.

  933. Touch now, God keep us. We have a new year.

  934. The Lord to be thy will.

  935. We'll see all of it, and we'll see it all

  936. up under your protection. You'll keep us covered, under your

  937. wings of protection. You'll keep our bodies healed. You empower

  938. us against the darkness of this world, giving us the

  939. strength and the power to not compromise.

  940. To the world just to be pleasing to them. Help

  941. us to be mindful. You are the only one we

  942. are to be pleasing too. Help us, Lord, in the

  943. name of Jesus, no.

  944. Matter what the circumstance, no matter what the troubles or

  945. the trials, Help us to stay focus on you, Lord,

  946. because you said.

  947. You will fight our battles.

  948. You said, put it in your hands, for the burdens

  949. are too heavy for us, and the yoke is too heavy.

  950. Said you will cover it and carry it upon you, Lord.

  951. So we give it to you right now, individually and

  952. collectively in Jesus Holy name, we say thank God.

  953. Amen, Amen,
