Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you
-
God for the gift of mothers. In the name of
-
Jesus Christ, we come humble before thy throne of grace.
-
We bow down heads and humble hearts, asking if we
-
said or done anything thus Father, this day you forgive us, Lord,
-
because Lord, your grace and mercy allowed us to sleep
-
last night and wake up this morning, even if we
-
didn't repent before we went to bed. Because of your
-
gracious and merciful character and your heart that you have
-
towards us, you still allowed us to get up this morning.
-
And since we're up and here today, we just want
-
to proclaim right now, Lord that we thank you for
-
your grace and your mercy. In the precious name of Jesus,
-
we give you glory today and we give you honor
-
that is due only unto you, God, because of the
-
life that you gave for us to live and not die.
-
We pray God that your word goes forth. We know
-
it won't come back void, but allow it to do
-
what you want it to do, and that we receive
-
that and let it do just that in our lives.
-
In the name of Jesus, it is my prayer that
-
none here today are listening, will reject what you must
-
speak through me today. In the name of Jesus, we
-
thank you Lord. Your word is hard, your word is lovely,
-
your word is soft, Your word is rebuking, Your word
-
is teaching, and God, we accept that. In the name
-
of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we thank you
-
for rebuking the devour for our sake, that we may
-
live and not die, that we may be able to
-
listen and hear and do in obedience to your word,
-
according to the help of the Holy Spirit, who is
-
our covering, our help. A man somebody, and it is
-
in Jesus' name we pray, thank God, Amen, and a
-
man In the book of Luke the Doctor, chapter twenty two,
-
we thank God for the gift of a mother. Amen.
-
My mother is no longer here in her physical presence,
-
but lives always in my heart. Amen. But we thank
-
God for those who have a mother to go and
-
celebrate with. Amen. You know, some people believe because they
-
mother was harsh, was unruly mother, she don't deserve to
-
be celebrated. But that's not God. Amen. I believe that
-
they should still go and celebrate that mother, whether she
-
took care of him or not, she's still the mother, aymen.
-
For the Bible tells us to honor thy mother and
-
thy father, and didn't say honor them because they was
-
good to you, how bad to you. It gave you
-
an order to obey it, and it gave them one
-
to obey. It didn't just give you one. God didn't
-
just deal with the child. He dealt with the parent too.
-
But we're talking about the child right now. Ay Man. Amen.
-
Every child should that knows better. Some don't know no
-
better because they don't have Jesus. And some know better
-
but don't know how to do better because they don't
-
have Jesus. Amen. But those of us didn't know better
-
should always do better. In the Book of Luke, chapter
-
twenty two and verse thirty one, I'm gonna try to
-
get this in and get out of the way so
-
folks can enjoy the gift that God had given them
-
in the Mother, Peter says in the Book of Peter
-
rather verse thirty one. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon.
-
You notice he didn't call him Peter. Right. Behold, Satan
-
has desire to have you, that he may sift you
-
as we But I have prayed for you, for your
-
faith fail not. And when you are converted, you know
-
once you come back from there, saying, straighten your strengthen
-
your brethren, see the Lord, we are. We are the
-
saints of God, and the devil wants to sift you.
-
So we're asking God today to help the sifted saints. Amen,
-
help the sifting sifted saints. Lord, and he verse thirty three.
-
He Peter said, unto him, Lord, I am ready to
-
go with you both into prison and to death. See
-
Peter speaking of his own power here. And he said,
-
I tell you, Peter, I hear what you're saying. Man,
-
But the cock shall not crawl this day before by
-
shall thrice denied that you even know me. Brother, I'm
-
just paraphrasing a little. And he said up. And he said,
-
unto them, when I sent you without purse and script,
-
stripe and shoes, straps and shoes lacked you anything, you
-
ain't lack nothing. Because I sent you out there without nothing,
-
you didn't lack anything. You lacked you. Well, let me
-
read it again. And he said it to them, when
-
I sent you without purse and strap and shoes lacked
-
you anything. He's asking the question. And they said, nothing.
-
So they were speaking of that every need was met
-
abundantly met. Then said he unto them. But now he
-
who has a purse, let him take it, and likewise
-
his strap. And then we jump over to John chapter
-
seventeen and verse eight. Are you with me? John, chapter
-
seventeen and verse eight, Are you with me? Hey man?
-
For I have given unto them the words which you
-
gave me, and they have received them. Gave it to
-
him and they got them too, and have known surely
-
that I came out from you, and they have believed
-
that you did send me. So they're saying they had
-
belief in the fact that God did send him. I
-
pray for them, he says, I pray for them who
-
he's talking about, the disciples. But when we read on
-
and we will read on them, he didn't just pray
-
for them at this particular time. He was also praying
-
for us future disciples and saints of God. So he says,
-
this is a personal prayer, in a sessionary prayer for
-
those believers. I pray for them. I pray not for
-
the world. He's not saying he don't pray for the world.
-
He's saying, right now, I ain't praying for the world
-
right now, and I'm praying for them. See, some people
-
will take that and run with it. But that's what
-
he meant, because if he didn't mean that, he said
-
in John three sixteen he says, what God to love
-
the world that he gave is only begotten son. So
-
he did pray for the world. But right now he's
-
speaking personally, just like you hear me say sometime, Lord,
-
I'm talking personally. I'm talking about Harvestown Christian Church right now, God,
-
personal prayer for the saints, personal prayer that he was
-
praying not just for the Saint before his disciples right here,
-
but for them which you have given me. See, I
-
pray for them. I pray not for the world, but
-
for them which you have given me. They are thine,
-
and all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and
-
I am glorified in them. Now only Jesus can say
-
that part right, second part right there? Okay, A man can't.
-
A man can say all mine are thine. A man
-
can say that all mine are thine. But only Jesus
-
can say all thine are mine. Are you hearing me?
-
And I know he says, And now I am no
-
more in the world. But these are in the world,
-
and I come to you, Holy Father. He talking about
-
being a sin. He's acending keep through your own name,
-
those whom you have given me, that they may be
-
one as we are. They're gonna be in unity like
-
me and you God. They're gonna be in unity like
-
we are. While I was with them in the world,
-
I kept them in your name. Those who you gave
-
me I have kept. And none of them is lost.
-
But the son of tradition talking about Judas that the
-
scripture might be fulfilled, he was only lost so that
-
the scriptures could be fulfilled. But he always had to
-
have twelve disciples. That's why they cast a lot as
-
another script as another story, ay Man, And now verse thirteen,
-
come I to you, and these things I speak in
-
the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
-
I have given them your word, and the world has
-
hated them because they are not of the world, even
-
as I am not of the world. So I prayed
-
not that you should take them out of the world.
-
That's not my prayer. But what my prayer is but
-
that you should keep them from the evil. And this
-
is only done for the saints of God. Through the
-
Cross and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen,
-
you may be seated in the House of the Lord.
-
Let's break it down a little bit so y'all can
-
go on do what you do. Amen. Again, here we
-
are with instructions from heaven to help us. Amen, to
-
help us along life's journey, because life is a journey. Amen.
-
And in this journey, our prayers are with God. Our
-
prayers I answer, and some of our prayers are trying
-
to catch up to us. Amen. This is a life
-
of trials and tribulations. Amen, that we live. We're going
-
to live a life of trials and tribulations. Amen. And
-
I pray that you come to understand that trials and
-
tribulations and adversities of life are never pleasant. But it's
-
in those things that we learn to be dependent on God. Amen.
-
Even the Heathen, when adversity comes hard enough, they holler,
-
oh God, oh Jesus. I think the most famed one
-
is Oh Lord, diversity. And I know that nobody in
-
here wishes for trials and adversities, but some people do unaware.
-
Some people really do unaware. They get caught up in
-
the message, They get caught up with everybody else that's saying,
-
and they say it to without understanding you ever hear
-
people say more power, lawd more power, Lord, more power.
-
You have heard that before they sing it, don't they
-
You know what they're doing. They're asking for trials and tribulations.
-
They're asking for him.
-
Why you say that, passing, because they're only through trials
-
and tribulations that you can get any power. So they're
-
asking for unaware they're asking for you want power.
-
Tribal and true relations build up strength in you. That's
-
where it comes from, to strengthen you, to give you
-
power more power in the law drawing because what it
-
does it draws you closer to God and dependent on Him. Amen,
-
and in the hope of His presence in your life.
-
But it's through them, it's through adversity. It's through trials
-
and tribulations that God refines us. If you read in
-
the Book of Malachi, chapter three, see nobody reads Chapter three,
-
verse one eight. They started eight will a man rob God?
-
Then they throw they part in there to scare you
-
to death. You're cursed with a curse. And God didn't
-
even talking to you, Amen, because God didn't give you
-
the order He gave the Israelites because if you read
-
in verse seven, it says, and you have not kept
-
my ordnance of your father's move right along. But there's
-
a refining fire that God has for the souls and
-
minds of his people. And trials and tribulations causes us
-
to be refined, amen, and to draw nearer to him,
-
just like when a when a metalsmith takes metal and
-
puts it into the fire. And once he puts it
-
into the fire and it gets hot enough to where
-
he can deal with it, because you gotta heat it up,
-
because you got to heat up a hard headed individual
-
to make it soft. You don't hear what I'm saying.
-
You gotta get that head soft so you can mold
-
that head, you understand. So they got they gotta get
-
that metal soft enough to where they can mold it
-
and shape it the way they trying to get it
-
to look like. You understand what I'm saying. So that's
-
what God trying to do, shape us and mold us
-
into his image. See you see that metal when you
-
heat it up, and you know you see them when
-
they put it down and they bang on it. Why
-
it's red hot. What they doing once they take it
-
out of the furnace. If y'all feeling what I'm feeling
-
you with these words, God just he just bompart me
-
with it with when when he take it acter, you know,
-
you got to go in the furnace. You know, we
-
be in the furnace sometimes, but we don't burn up.
-
God pull us out. He pulled the metal out, and
-
then they beat on it. And then God he starts
-
shaving it because it's soft enough. Now that mind is
-
soft enough. Now it been beat on enough. Now you
-
can soften it up. And when they begin to take
-
the metal out, and they out of the furnace, and
-
they place it on the anvil and they begin to
-
beat on it while it's hot, that white hot. Then
-
the draws begins to fall off the metal. Y'all don't
-
hear what I'm saying. See when they beat that metal,
-
draws falls off of it. The no good stuff, the
-
stuff that can't use falls off the metal as they
-
beat on it. Are you hearing me? And God allows
-
us to enter the furnace of affliction so that we
-
might refine, I be refined and purified our lives. Amen,
-
and see the most difficult adversities we face that which
-
comes from the very sin in our life and the
-
attack of the devil. Amen. See, I have to say
-
the very sin that tries to come into our life,
-
or even as in our life, I have to say
-
that and the devil, because there's two different things happening.
-
The devil can't make you do anything. He just a
-
cond artist, if I say, he's just a motivated speaker. Amen.
-
And it's up to you to allow the sin to
-
be manipulated. You ain't enough to cause you to get
-
into it. Amen. So the diversities of life is the
-
sin we allow in our life and the devil. Because
-
we see here in the text that Simon Peter is
-
made to understand the fact that he is about to
-
be tested. He was made to understand that he said Peter,
-
or he said Simon Simon. He didn't say Peter because
-
Peter meant rock. So he wasn't rock right there at
-
that point. He knew he wasn't gonna be no rock
-
at that point, so he said Simon Simon. He wasn't
-
gonna be no rock right there, because he said if
-
he was gonna be a rock, he would have said Peter.
-
But he said Simon you gonna deny me thrife because
-
you ain't the rock. At that point, rock go crack huh,
-
So he said Simon, And he was made to understand
-
at that point because he told him you about to
-
be tested. Doc. The devil has sought are The word
-
he used was desire to sift. You. See, that's what
-
the devil does. He don't call come on at once.
-
He don't walk up with Jesus. Man, he can't come
-
on at once. He walking with Jesus. He gonna get
-
rebuilt knocked down, But he walked here with Jesus. You
-
walking with Jesus. He don't come only once. He don't
-
come all it wants to you come a little bit
-
at a time. See, he know he donet been to
-
the cross. He knew once he went to the crow
-
he had lost his power. So he don't even come.
-
All it wants to the heathen. He come to the heathen. Man.
-
They look like they enjoying him. Cigarettes. What about you
-
get your wom sifting sifting? Get that cigarette, and that
-
cigarette ain't good, man. You need to put a little
-
weed with that sifty. That ain't strong enough. Man. You
-
want to really get blasted. Better put some rock cocaine
-
on it. Yeah, what a little weed. They gonna get
-
you right there? See sifting. Why is he shifting? Because
-
he trying to kill you, That's why. And he don't
-
come all he wants. And that's why you see people say.
-
That's why you see people man, I've been on that
-
stuff for thirty one years because they keep chasing that devil.
-
That's why they chasing it. See, once you get that
-
first what they call it in the world, When you
-
get that first blast, it buy out your pupils, just boom.
-
What happens after that to get it again? Guess what,
-
you can't never get it again. You only get it
-
the first time. But you chasing what you got the
-
first time. See I talked, I talked drug ANOLMS class.
-
I had to wake them up to it. They told me,
-
I didn't know what's talking about because I ain't never
-
been on dough. But I said, sit down and listen.
-
I'm gonna help you, I said, cause the Holy Girl said,
-
I'm able to teach all things. I said, you're chasing
-
that blast you got the first time. That's what they do. See,
-
that's what the devil do. He's your enemy, he's your
-
avacar and once he gives you that first blast of sin.
-
Oh yeah, it's like a man that commits the commiss fornication.
-
Once he commenced that fornication. Hold, Lord, that want some
-
good stuff right there? Let me try another one and
-
see how that feel. And another one. Now you've got a's. See,
-
you had the itchy thing first crabs, and then you
-
ran on the sickness. Then you got a hold of
-
something that you can't scratch. Sifty sweet you do. You
-
don't hear what I'm saying. So he wanted to sift Peter.
-
He told him, you're gonna be tested. Now, you got
-
to be tested. But guess what he said, Oh my god,
-
you ought to be encouraged by this if you ain't
-
evencouraged about nothing else. He said when you read, Peter
-
should have been encouraged. I wonder if Peter even heard
-
what the Lord said, he should have been encouraged. He
-
might have been the first part of that might have
-
been like what the devil has desired to cist you man,
-
But the second part should have said he should have said, oh,
-
he might have been like this at first, but that
-
second part should have went, oh, because you know what
-
he said. But I'm praying for you, Peter, what Jesus
-
God praying for me. I ain't worried about that working.
-
I ain't worry about that working. You don't hear what
-
I'm saying. I might pray for you. You might wonder
-
if it gonna work. But if Jesus said, I'm praying
-
for your man, yea, you don't have to worry about
-
that work. You see. The Lord said, Look, the devil
-
sees to saf you man, but I'm gonna take an
-
act this part in the desire that he has to
-
do to you. I'm gonna be retroactive in this thing
-
for you that I'll tell you. Well, Lord, I'll thank you.
-
In verse thirty one, he says, See see right there,
-
that's just a praise. That's just a praise area right there.
-
But I'm praying for you, Peter. He desires to sif
-
you die. Yes, he does. That's a praise that I
-
just can't get away from that right there, y'all give
-
me a minut I'm gonna try to get up out
-
of here, but just give me a minute right now.
-
I desire he desired to sift the man to take
-
him down. Tear him down, brutalizing. You gotta understand what
-
sifting means. I'm gonna get to it in a minute.
-
He desired to brutalize Peter. But Jesus said, wait a minute,
-
you didne activated something in me, because that's mine. You
-
heard what he said, dying or mind and mind are ying?
-
That's mine. Doctor, You didne activated something in me. Mm hmm.
-
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan had desire
-
to have you. Mm hm. He desired to have it.
-
You know what. That's special. That's also special that Satan
-
had desired You know why, I'm gonna tell you what
-
I truly believe. I speak as a man. I believe
-
he really desired to have Peter because Peter, to be
-
seemed to have been the strongest disciple standing. That's the
-
way slavery was. They take the biggest bunk of the man,
-
and that's the crated him in front of all the
-
slaves to weaken the rest of him. Glory to God.
-
So he desired Peter.
-
Uh.
-
It's just like job when when when the Bible reads
-
that the sons of God had all come together and Joe,
-
but the sons of God wasn't who God chose for Satan.
-
He said, have you have you thought about job dot?
-
Joe was special. You don't hear what I'm saying. So
-
he desired him. And you see that right in verse
-
thirty one. But also that you see in verse thirty
-
one is no matter who you are. It don't matter
-
who you are as a child of God. We all
-
have a determined thought who's determined to to to take
-
us out. He's determined to kill and destroy us. He's determined.
-
But what we see also is that Jesus is telling
-
Peter that Satan has made a request to have all
-
of disciples to test what what? What want? What did
-
he even want with them? To sift them? He wanted
-
to test the reality of the faith that they claim
-
to have. In Jesus, that's the same thing you want
-
with you. He comes to test the reality of the
-
faith because he says he desires, which means he demand
-
to ask for you. It's the plural in nature in
-
his demand, in his request, he's requesting to sift in
-
the Yet, y'all bear with me. I have a hard
-
time saying this word in the agricultural somebody say that
-
for me? You know what I'm saying, don't you see
-
I hear somebody say it. I can see it. Say
-
it again. See in agricultural, in the agricultural word, the
-
word is in agriculture, the word shifting. In agriculture, this
-
word or the term of this word means to It
-
means it's a savage process. I told you he wanted
-
to brutalize him, didn't I. The word shift in our
-
cultural word, and the meaning of it is to sift.
-
Sithe means it's a it's a it's a it's it's
-
it's a hard process that the week goes through, you understand.
-
So he was demanding him. And the way they do it,
-
even back in the day, it's a savage process. They
-
take that week, beat it. You know what I'm say.
-
What they do, that's how they get it. That's how
-
they break the week down. That's how they break it down.
-
They break the week down like that, y'all. Hear what
-
I'm saying, y'all the week? You heard the start the
-
week and the tear y'all the week. And so it's
-
a savage process of separating. See, they trying to get
-
that husk of the week from the grave. So they
-
it's savagely done. And that's what the devil was trying
-
to do to Peter. See, this is how critical this
-
process he is. Satan wanted to tear the heart of God.
-
He wanted to tear the heart of God by proving
-
that there was no reality to the faith of the
-
disciples and us as well. That's what he's always trying
-
to do. Still kill and destroyed the faith. And what
-
he was trying to do with Peter when sifted him,
-
he was trying to tear the heart of God. He
-
ain't really faith for the youth. I'm gonna show you
-
he ain't faith for the youth. He's trying to do
-
the same thing with us, the very heart of God,
-
by showing God that our faith is not real towards God.
-
That's the reality of what he's trying to do. There's
-
no reality in their faith. Lord, that's what he's trying
-
to do. That's what he's saying. And this becomes a
-
battle with the determined foe, the enemy. He wants to
-
prove that we are phonies, we don't really have faith
-
in God. That's why these trials and adversities come, and
-
God allows them to come. To prove to him that
-
we do have it. See, Satan don't know. God does know.
-
So in him trying to prove it to God by
-
the adversities, in the trials and tribulations, God proven to him.
-
Yes they do. He wants to ruin our testimony, destroy home,
-
take away every value of our life, and leave us
-
with nothing but a devastated shell of a person of
-
what we had. But I'm reminded in the Book of John,
-
see that right there as a John Ate in forty
-
four moment from medd y'all, don't hear what I'm saying.
-
This is John eighty eight. This is John eight and
-
forty four moment for me and you as well, because
-
in John eight and forty eight the Lord says, he
-
gives a declaration, then answers the Jews and says, unto him,
-
say we are not weare of what you are a
-
Samaritan and have a devil. Jesus answered, I have not
-
a devil. But I honor my father, and you do
-
honor this, honor me and my Yes, this is this
-
is no. No, no, this is that. Yeah, this is it.
-
This is it, This is it, this is it, And
-
I seek not my own glory, who seeks and judges. Really, really,
-
I say unto you. If a man keep my saying
-
he should never see death, then said the Jews, and
-
to him, now we know that you have a devil,
-
Abraham is dead and the prophets. But let's back up
-
to forty four is the declaration that lets me know
-
when the enemy comes to us. He says, why do
-
you forty three? Why do you not understand my speech?
-
Because you cannot hear my word? Why you are of
-
your father the devil and the lust of your father
-
you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning,
-
and a bold not in the truth, because there is
-
no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he
-
speaks of his own, for he is a liar and
-
the father of it. So when he comes to try
-
to dishonor me and my faith, this my moment of
-
eight forty four, You a liar and the truth ain't
-
in you. You are a liar and a murderer from
-
the beginning, and ain't no truth in you. Because what
-
he does he digitally, he digitally comes after each and
-
every one of us to seek us, to take us out,
-
to try to show God that we don't have the
-
faith we're claiming. That's why he comes to sift. Sift
-
you already understand. It's brutal, and he comes like a
-
thief in the night. If you had known when the
-
thief would come, you would have prepared for the thief.
-
But see when you in this word and the thief come,
-
you're prepared for him. But if you ain't in this word,
-
when he comes, it's gonna be devastating, for he is
-
a liar and the father of it. And the next
-
thing this teaches us we have not only do we
-
have an adversary that's trying to sift us and take
-
us out, guess what, we have a powerful ally in
-
our corner that never leaves us north of seesus. See
-
when he tries, when he tries his thing on us,
-
and he fails because of our powerful ally, he leaves,
-
but he comes back. You better read Joe, he failed
-
trying to cause job to fall short of God's glory.
-
But then he came back again. See some read that
-
the thing he never stopped messing with all yea, he did,
-
he stopped when he failed, and he came back again.
-
But guess what Jesus was still there. When he knock
-
on your door and you open and the door get opened,
-
Jesus said, can I help you? See see you can't
-
when you go to the door. You mess up when
-
he knock on your door trying to deceive you. Let Jesus,
-
can I help you? When Jesus opens the door and
-
say can I help you? They for please he get
-
on there. See we got a powerful adversary in our corner.
-
And he let Peter know that I'm gonna pray for you. Brother.
-
He gonna say, if you're gonna come to sif you
-
you're gonna deny me thrice, but I'm gonna pray for you.
-
I'm gonna restore you. You're gonna fall short, but I'm
-
gonna restore. He told him he was gonna fall short,
-
but I'm gonna restore you. He told Adam the day
-
that he eat of it, he would he restore him.
-
Y'all gotta remember that now, because Jesus said, and Luke,
-
chapter twenty two, in verse thirty two, he said to him,
-
but I have prayed for you that your faith fell nothing.
-
He said, samon Simon, the whole Satan desired to sit.
-
If you in verse thirty one, but then thirty two,
-
he says, but I have prayed for you. Look, he
-
didn't say I'm praying for you. He said I prayed.
-
I've already done it because I knew it was coming.
-
He knows you gonna fall short, so he's not ready
-
to pray for you. See, he ain't waiting for you
-
to fall short and then go God, please heave him. No,
-
he prayed already before the fall. Y'all better listen to
-
the Lord. We got a powerful ally. He desired to
-
sifty man, But I'm already prayed for you, that your faith,
-
that your faith failed, not because that's what he's after.
-
What a prayer. We got to embrace that, Amen, Lord,
-
We got to embrace that. Lord, Lord, Lord, let our
-
faith fail. Not. See if you can't take that lightly,
-
you can't take that light, and you can't run with
-
it in the wrong direction either. You can't run with
-
it in the wrong direction. You can't take it light.
-
You ain't run out of the acting a fool because
-
you know God already prayed for you. You don't hear
-
that's where you're testing it. These are the things that
-
may come on you unaware and may even come when
-
God tell you they're gonna come, but you ain't paying
-
attention like Peter wasn't. Because Peter he was paying attention,
-
but he was believing in his own strengths. That's where
-
he felt, See, we gotta we gotta lean and depend
-
on him. Ay man, you see, Peter said. His reply
-
was with his chest out Jesus. He let him know,
-
he said, man, his reply to Jesus that he was
-
ready to go with Jesus, I'm ready to go with
-
your Jesus, both in the prison and in the death.
-
What that was easy to say, deep, It's easy to
-
say a whole lot of stuff, uh huh. And so
-
what they said that what your mouth said, We're gonna
-
see what your action is gonna produce. Your mouth said that,
-
but let's see what your action is gonna produce. That
-
was easy to say for Peter. But when it came
-
time to perform that, Jesus informed him that before that
-
cock shell crow, Peter, you will have denied me knowingly,
-
Jesus said three times. That's why they called it a testimony,
-
hey man, without a true testimony, without a true test rather,
-
there is no testimony, hey man. But when we look
-
at this. We look at this, we look at this again,
-
look at this thing. He told Peter he was gonna fail.
-
Are y'all with me? But guess what he did? He
-
told Peter he would fail. But he told Peter, I
-
prayed for you in your failure. I went, I went
-
before you when prayer before it ever happened. That's what
-
he told me. See that's the good news. See, no
-
failure should be ever considered final. Your failure shouldn't be
-
considered final. See Peter fell. He thought maybe it was
-
final because he went out. He cried, He weep bitterly.
-
Not really probably at that point understanding what Jesus said,
-
I've already prayed for your man.
-
And he let him know you gonna come out of it.
-
And when you come out of it, strengthen your brethren.
-
You can't strengthen your brother that you ain't gonna come
-
out of it. He told him he was gonna come
-
out of it. Failure shouldn't be considered permittent.
-
That's what Jesus said. He prayed for his faith to fail,
-
not and he became converted. He said that when you
-
become converted, when you become converted, you're gonna be converted
-
after this fall. Brother, I'm telling you, he said, but
-
when you do, you ain't on your own. Now, once
-
you get tight and strong, strengthen thy brethren because they're weak.
-
You see. There's great news in this and it's in
-
John chapter seventeen, and I'm gonna close with this John
-
chapter seventeen, Jesus had a prayer on the throne of God,
-
and that prayer includes us right now. He says, Father,
-
have given them the words that you have given me,
-
and they are studying them right now. That's what he
-
said to God. He's talking to God, and they have
-
I've received them, and I have known surely that I
-
have come out from thee and them that the Father
-
has given me. He says, you don't have to take
-
them out of the world. But he says, Father, keep
-
them from the evil. Now, let me get this.
-
In John seventeen, these words spoke Jesus and lifted up
-
his eyes to heaven because he talking to the Father
-
and said, the hour is come.
-
It's time glorify your son, that your son also may
-
glorifa you. He's praying. This is inncessory prayer. You know
-
what in acessory prayer me he ain't just praying for himself.
-
He praying for others. But those others are the believers
-
and disciples. As you have given him power over all flesh,
-
that he should give eternal life to as many as
-
you have given him. And this is life eternal, that
-
they might know that the only true God and Jesus Christ,
-
whom you have sent, I have glorified you on the earth.
-
I have finished the work which you have me to do.
-
And now Father glorified thy me with thine own self.
-
The glory which I had with you before the world
-
was his disciples. He goes on the verse six. I
-
have manifested your name unto the men which you gave
-
me out of the world. You see, first he prayed
-
about him. Now he's put the disciples in it. And
-
us I have manifested your word to the me. And
-
when you gave me out of the world, yours they were,
-
and you gave them me, and they have kept your words.
-
Now they have known that all things whatsoever you give
-
me are of you. For I have given unto them
-
the words which you gave me, and they have received
-
them and have known surelyn that I came out from you.
-
And they have believed that you did send me. I
-
pray for them. Pray not for the word. I pray
-
for them. I pray not for the world, but for
-
them which you gave have given me. They are thine,
-
and all thine are, and all mine are thine, and
-
all thine are mine. And I am glorified in them.
-
And now I am no more in the world. But
-
these are in the world talking about us. I have
-
come to you, Holy Father, keep through your own name,
-
those whom you have given me, that they may be
-
one as we are. While I was with them in
-
the world, I kept them in your name. Those who
-
you gave me I have kept. And none of them
-
is lost, but the son of tradition, that the scripture
-
might be fulfilled. That's the only reason one was lost,
-
because the scripture need to be fulfilled. But they still gained.
-
And now come I to you, and these things I
-
speak in the world, that they might have my joy
-
fulfilled in themselves. I have given them your word, and
-
the world has hated them because they are not of
-
the world, as I am not of the world. I
-
pray not that you should take them out of the
-
world but you, but that you should keep them from
-
the evil. This is done through the Cross people. They
-
are not of the world, even as I am not
-
of the world, sanctified them through your truth. Your word
-
is truth. You're gonna be sanctified through the word of God.
-
As you have sent me into the world, even so
-
have I also sent them into the world. And for
-
their sake I sanctified myself, that they also might be
-
sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone
-
here we come, here we come de Neither pray I
-
for these only. Now Jesus is speaking not only of
-
his present disciples, but the multitude in all ages who
-
would believe the testimony of Jesus Christ. Now he ain't
-
just praying for the disciples. Now we in say we
-
in now we in. Now neither pray out for these alone,
-
but for them also, which should believe on me through
-
their word, that they all may be one, as you,
-
Father are in me, that they also may be one
-
in us. The world may believe that you have sent me,
-
and the blurry which you have, which you gave me,
-
I have given them that they may be one, even
-
as we are one, I in them and you and me,
-
that they may be made perfect in one, and that
-
the world may know that you have sent me and
-
have loved me as you have loved me. That the
-
world may know that you have sent me and have
-
loved them as you have loved me. Father, I will
-
that they also, whom you have given me, be with
-
me where I am, that they may behold my glory
-
which you have given me, for you love me before
-
the foundation of the world. That's Jesus proclamation, Old Righteous Father.
-
The world has not known you, but I have known you,
-
and the please have known that you have sent me.
-
And I have declared unto them your name, and will
-
declare it that the love wherew you have loved me
-
may be in them and in I in them. Can
-
the church say amen? Heymen, thank you Lord, hallylujah. That's
-
for the sifted saints. The sifty Saints need to know
-
that there is victory in your corner. Your fail is
-
not permanent because Jesus has prayed for you. It events.
-
You can bank on it. It's not by chance, it's
-
not by accident. Jesus didn't do it by accident. He
-
is not a mistake. He has prayed for us. You see,
-
you had to understand verse chapter seventeen is where Jesus prayed.
-
Guess what, He didn't just pray that prayer. He prayed
-
that prayer before he went to the cross. Are you
-
hearing me? So that means he didn't pray that prayer
-
after the cross. He prayed it before the cross in
-
belief of the cross. So what that means is that
-
was a long time ago. So it's already been prayed
-
and it still works. That's the point I'm getting to.
-
It still works. When you fall short, it ain't permanent
-
because He's already prayed for your failures. Your future failures,
-
and your past failures have already been prayed for. Amen, Amen, Amen,
-
let us stand
