Thank you for this privileged opportunity God, to stand here,

to be able to hear a word from your servant.

Thank you, God that you imparted in your servant what

to feed your people today.

Pray God that they're.

Fulfilled, their soul is filled, their spirit is filled, and

that they get more than enough God, and that they

get emptied out after they get filled, so that they

can come back and get filled up again.

We thank you, Lord for the feeling of your word.

We thank you for your holy spirit, our son, your

son Jesus Christ. We thank you for your knowledge, wisdom

and understanding of your word. We thank you God for

blessing us to be here. We thank you that you

watch over your word and as we go forth, open

up our eyes and ears and understanding.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

And in the Book of Matthews, chapter fourteen, starting in

verse twenty two, we're talking about this faith thing.

Amen. Matthews fourteen and twenty two, it said he also

that received he also that received seed among the thorns.

He is he that Ah, slow down, Okay, let's see

where we're at reading the wrong things. Yeah, I really

got slow that because I'm at the wrong book, I

mean the wrong Here we go Matthew, Chapter fourteen, verse

twenty two.

And straightway.

Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, says

straight way with In other words, he compelled them go

get in the ship. This is after the feeding of

the five thousand. Now y'all go get in the ship,

and to go before him unto the other side. While

he sent the multitude a way. And when he had

sent the multitude a way, he went up into the

mountain apart to pray. So he went up in the

mountain by himself, and when evening was come, he was

there alone. But the ship was now in the midst

of the sea. So the ship's after in the middle

of the sea with the disciples in it, and it

was being tossed with waves from the wind, because for

the wind was contrary, which the wind wasn't acting right.

And in the.

Fourth watch of the night, Jesus went unto them walking

on the sea. After he didn't come from talking in

private conversation with the Lord with his father, he come down.

He had to get back to he had to get

to the boat, but he ain't have a boat.

Where he walked out there.

So Jesus, Jesus went into them walking on the sea.

And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea,

they were trouble, saying it is a spirit, and they

cried out for fear. Now watch this, now they say

it's the spirit. They done cried out for fear.

But they just watched.

Miraculously, Jesus Christ faithfully filled over fifteen twenty thirty thousand

people with what was two peoples of fish and the

loaf of bread.

I'm trying to understand that. So two fish and a

loaf of bread.

And when the disciple saw him walking on the sea,

they were trouble.

Here, they got trouble saying it is a spirit, and.

They cried out for fear. In other words, they thought

it was a ghost. So when they say it was

a spirit, they thought it was a ghost.

Hey man.

But straightway Jesus spoken them, saying, so here he is

again compelling them, because he's said Jesus is compelling them

by speaking to them.

He said, be of good cheer.

He said, have some courage, take courage, sell us, sell us,

take courage.

It is I be not afraid. So he says, it's

I am, It's me.

It's I am be not afraid. Okay. Somebody girded up

their lawns. His name was Peter.

He answered them and said, Lord, if that's conditional, right there,

if it be, Thy, bid me come unto thee on

the water. And jesusin't going to no long conversation. He

ain't begin to pray, he ain't look up to the Father.

He said, come.

With your scary self, with your shaking it bacon self.

And when Peter was coming down.

Peter was coming down as courage out of the ship.

He walked on the water to go to Jesus.

But when he saw the wind bolstus the wind was

he was looking at Jesus. He turned and looked at

the wind and saw it was violent. He got afraid.

He began to sink because he was afraid, but he

knew where to go.

When he got scared, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.

And immediately when he cried out to Jesus, he stretched

forth his hand and caught him and said, unto him,

oh thy our little faith, I see you had enough

faith to ask me to come out of here. Then

you lost your faith? Wherefore did it die? Doubt you

had the faith. You came out here and you got doubtful,

and yes, like we do, we'd be believing in something

just looked like the headway coming. It didn't look like

a stop. Then we get the doubt. Well, maybe it

really ain't coming. It looked like it was coming, but

now it looked like it ain't really coming. Oh's coming, Oh,

these little faith. And when they were come into the ship,

the wind ceased. When peace came in the ship, that

disorder got out and out of there.

Then they that.

Were in the ship came and worshiped him, saying, oh.

Of a truth. Oh it's got the peace. Truth. It's

gotta be true, Man th Art, the son of God.

It gotta be you.

You done walked on the water, stepped up in the ship,

and the violent wind ceased.

Everything that come you must be him.

You must be seated in the house of the Lord.

As I turned to the book of Hebrews in chapter eleven,

see that's that old faith, that's the faith. Chapter Hebrews,

chapter eleven and verse one says, now, now faith is

the substance.

Now faith is the substance. What is the substance?

Faith is the realization of things hope for now. Faith

is the substance.

Now.

Faith is the realization of things to hope for. It's

the realization of things, the hope for the evidence the

conviction amen, the evidence, the conviction.

Amen of things not seen for by it.

The elders obtained a good report by faith. That's how

they got that good report. They have faith. That's how

you get that good report. You guess who.

The report came from.

God because they had faith. Through faith, we understand that

the worlds, that the worlds.

Are our ages, amen, were framed.

we understand? See it was through faith.

You wasn't there, I wasn't there. It was through faith

that we have to understand that this world was prepared this.

We have to believe through faith that the trees is

It is through faith we understand that the world's worlds

that the worlds were framed.

By the word of God, so.

That things which are seen were not made of things

which do appear.

Hey man, So it's not by things that are visible,

ay man. So what is faith? What is faith? Because

faith is what the enemy is trying to sift out

of you. That's what he told Peter. Peter believes, and

Jeez bleed. He died for him, he loved him. I

ain't going nowhere. I'm gonna fight for you. But when

he saw.

One, when he's all them folks were doing the.

But when they end time come and we're pressed, oh yeah,

and suffered because we claim Jesus Christ as our Lord

has saved you, We're gonna be like Peter.

We're gonna hold our faith. But Jesus. Jesus. See, Jesus

told Peter.

What was gonna happen before it ever happened. So at

that point you should have been strengthening his faith. He

didn't have a whole lot of time, but he had time.

We done had a whole lot of time.

You got fifty years old, ain't you.

You done had a lot of time, and you've been

in church probably thirty years, probably fifty and you hadn't

had all fifty years, Oh my God, to have faith

in our Lord and saved you.

Oh my God, Look at all the time we didn't

have to have.

Faith in our Lord, and saying, my daughter's the only one.

They had as much time as everybody else in here,

my youngest daughter because he's younger.

All of them been in the House of God ever

since they was Why I just seen so all this time.

And he's still after what you got or what you

claim you got? But are we going to be like Peter?

What is faith? We just heard what Hebrew said faith was,

or what faith is?

Nown faith is the subjects of things, hope for the

evidence of things not seen.

Now this is a wonderful and glorious sing.

And it's a well known chapter and verses in the Bible,

and folks said with positivity, they saying with their chest

stuck out. Not see that's how he said, like powerful.

But whereas the evidence they're talking about in them? Mm hmm,

it's a one up on a well known chapter. But

do we really know what faith is? And do we

really practice real faith? Not? As I said, do we

really practice? You got to practice that faith? Practice makes perfect?

Do we first? You have to know what it is

even practice? Ay man? Do we really know what it is?

And do we really practice real faith?

Because in this verse, our versus, it is not so

much a definition of what faith is.

Not a definition, ay man, as.

It is a description. It's a description of what faith does.

Hey man, it's not so much a definition of what

faith is as it is a definition of.

What faith does.

Faith here is explained as the confident assurance. Confident assurance

that what we hope for is going to happen. Faith

starts with believing in God's character. That's what it starts at,

that he is who he say he is. Faith will

accuminate with believing in God's promises.

See, we have a hard time.

Believe in God's promises like I shall supply all of

your needs.

We have prov with that. You know why we have

You know how we can tell we have a problem

with that.

Because we're sitting around wondering, panicking, how we're gonna do it.

You're gonna do it through him. That's what he said.

Your faith causes what he says to come into fluition.

You know how. I know because the Bible said faith

moves God.

Aymen, your crying, you're flipping around, flopping your pity parties.

Only tell God you don't trust.

Him, right, But your faith moves God.

Amen.

That means that we must believe who he says he

is and believe that he will do what he said

he will do.

Amen. But even in hope, we have a certain hope. Amen.

Like when we want to go somewhere and we might.

Say, man, today's Friday, look like it's gonna rain.

Man, I hope it don't rain.

I gotta do such and such Saturday, so I hope

it don't rain. And looking at it right there, but see,

faith is a substance thing I see. But I'm looking

at it right there and say it's gonna rain, but

I hope it don't rain. Because we're doing an outside

event to mo Man. But we say that with uncertain desire.

We're not sure. That's an uncertain desire of hope that

we have and hoping that it don't rain.

To see.

For a believer, hope is a desire based on assurance,

hey Man.

Our hope is based on the assurance, and the assurance

is based on God's character.

Faith is the evidence of things we cannot yet see,

meaning we have complete confidence that God will fulfill his promise.

Complete complete confidence, complete confidence is what we have to

have in God's will. This God's will, God's promise is

in his will. We got to have complete confidence in

that even though we don't yet see any evidence. You

might not see the evidence, but you still got to

have complete confidence in what God says he will do even.

Though you don't see the evidence.

And even though persecution, opposition, and temptation may get in

the way, because it does, it always gets in the

way of your faith, to the belit of your faith, Ayma.

But faith will always override it all.

So I have to ask the question, and it must

be asked everywhere in every house of God today. This

question must be asked because of the trials and tribulations

that are being presented to.

Us in the world today. So the question is how

strong is your faith?

Many people are walking away from this because their faith

has failed. Temptation has caused them to fall short of

their faith in God.

Opposition has caused them to fall short.

Oppression conditions have caused them to fall away from God

to do it their self their way.

Are you hearing me? But soon back to my scripture.

As the multitude was fed, they picked up all the scraps,

and Jesus immediately told the disciples to get in the ship,

and then he sent the crowd away. There was a

reason why he did that. See, after he fed those

five thousands, they had faith in something that he want

them to have in. That's why he had to send

them away. And John expounds on why Jesus did what

he did and sending the people away after they were fed,

because he said in chapter six and verse six Chapter six.

And verse fourteen.

Rather then these men, when they had seen the miracle

that Jesus did, said this is of a truth. They

said the same thing that the disciples said when he

got the vote after the thing ceased, and he even

walked on the water, that prophet that should come into

the world. In other words, that prophet that was coming

into the world. They were saying, this is he right here.

So he had to send them away because they was

looking at him as.

To be the one to be.

Over the world in a physical natural sense. But this

is not his kingdom, right he know what their minds

were thinking, y'all got to go, and now.

Gotta go. So they went on, and they went on.

In other words, the disciples went on, and the crowd

went on, and Jesus went up.

Y'all hear what I'm saying, turn it up.

They went on, the disciples and the ship and the

multitude of people that were fed went on, and then

Jesus went up.

Whoo. So now they are all troubled again, hurt it

out on the water.

And they troubled again, facing the strong winds and the

heavy rains, the same thing they did face once before

in Matthew's eight twenty three to twenty seven, when they

went out there and they faced the wind. But just

at that point Jesus own ship with them. He sent

them out from the feeding and again and again the

same circumstances and situation that they didn't have faith in

before even after, he didn't fare thirty thousand people. Maybe

I don't know. It was five thousand men. They only counted.

We know children always be more than than family, so

it did ain't.

Count the women. So I'm thinking probably fifteen twenty thirty

thousand folks.

He did a miracle, so it had been a whole

lot of folk.

They saw that miracle. They was in the boat once

before they saw that miracle.

Peace be still.

He was backing up, snawing, sleeping, blowing bubble. They woke

him up. He came out there.

It's wrong with y'all.

Man, You don't see all this is going on out here,

he said, I can't hear y'all. Hold on, peace be still.

Now what y'all said, The wind and the waves ceased.

Just shut up.

Now where y'all talking about? Now we got another. Now

we added again. Y'all seen me calming down. Y'all saw

me feed a multitude. And now you out here again

with the vorstuous winds that are being violent in the ship.

But I'm not on the ship this time. See.

I had to ask y'all a few minutes ago, how

strong is your faith?

They saw him feed over five.

Thousand people, stop the winds and the wave that listen

to him that you can't see ears and eyes and

a body on but he told him to be still.

There's some power.

And now you've seen me walking on the water, and

you're afraid after you just seen the mark. You didn't

know who I was, Okay, but yet you know who

I am. You've seen what I've done. I delivered you.

From the crushed need that they said you would never

walk again. And now you got a mind graine.

Headache and you still complaining and in a pity party.

I'm the same one that healed your crush knee. I'm

the same one that the heal your midgrain.

I'm the one to give you relief.

Hm, you didn't you? What were you believing in when

I was owned the ship with you?

What were you.

Believing in when y'all came to me talking about what

we're gonna do. We're gonna have to send these folks away.

You ain't gonna send nobody away. Come, little boy, I'll

give them two fishing that piece of bread. Blam, multiply, blam, multiply.

Why God gave him created power? Why he looked up

to heaven, he said, Father, and he gave him created

power every time he took it, and he broke broke

it in MULTIPLI created power, y'all.

Hear what I'm saying. Y'all saw this.

So now here you are out on the ship again.

But the last time that happened, I was on the

ship with you. But not this time, not physically anyway.

This time they were left to fend for themselves. So

they thought, see, we have to always remember the word

of God. When we and our rights standards were God,

we have to hallways remember that, he said. They believed

they was on They didn't see the miraculous power of

Jesus Christ.

And they looking at it again when they're walking on

the water.

Everybody was shaking any boots but pill and then they

all knew who he was.

He said, it as I am. It's mess Jesus God,

here I am. He said, okay, as it be, you

bid me come out to you. If that's you, I

know you got the power to do it. Let me

let me let me feel a little bit of that power.

He said, okay, come. But he got out on the

water and he was looking at Jesus.

Then he started looking, and then he start listening to

the wrong stuff.

The wind and the.

Waves can't see Jesus this way.

So now he got afraid. But guess what, Jesus ain't

gone nowhere.

He made a promise, and his promise stands even today.

His promise stands. We are never alone, because he said so.

Either we believe that by faith are we doing and

our faith fails? I will never. I will never leave you,

are forsakee you. I will never emphasis on never.

Either we believe that or we don't. It's our choice.

Though he ain't gonna make us do it. He's not.

He's not gonna try to convince us that your car's

next to mine and it.

Ain't his, because he gonna.

Believe it's still his car right there.

That's an inside joke. Huh. I can't make him believe it.

All I can do it tell it to him.

That's all Jesus can do is tell it to you.

I'll never leave you, nor for sake you. They thought

they was a loan on that ship, but they weren't.

He's always there, He's everywhere. He knew when they went

out on that ship, when he sent them away, when

he sent them ownership to go out there to go

to the other side, and he sent the crowd away,

and he wanted to be with the Lord.

He knew what they were about to endure. But he

allows our faith to be tested? Why?

Why does he allow our faith to be tested? Sure

we can know just how strong our faith is. It's

not for him, it's for you and me.

It's for you and me.

Well, God was testing me just to see what I

would do? Wrong answer, wrong statement. First of all, God

ain't testing you, and you don't have to wait to.

See what you will do. That's a very familiar statement

that people make. Do it. It's a false statement. How

is he testing you to see what you will do?

When he's all knowing? I'm just saying.

But the Bible says that it's verse This was about

three o'clock in the middle in the morning, and they

had been out there fighting strong headwinds while Jesus was

in prayer with.

His father and watching him at the same time. A whoo.

Ah, But here comes Jesus at this out walking on

the water.

You know what he was doing.

He was suspending the laws of gravity.

See gravity says you get on top of the water,

you sink. That's the law.

You get on a building and jump off, you fall down,

that's the law.

But Jesus was defying the law of gravity. I walks

on water. Gravity don't make me. I made gravity, and

gravity gotta do what I say do. I don't do

what gravity sayd do. I am the law over gravity.

Walk on this water. He was showing his godhead. I'm

God of the water too.

Y'all don't remember when I told it, Peace be still.

I tell this water what to do. Water, I'm finna

walk on you, and you gonna let me. He was

showing his Godhead that nothing y'all heard me. Somebody say

nothing was impossible for him to do, and nothing is

impossible for him to do. To them that believes, heymen,

because he can do all things.

That's what y'all say. Y'all say it.

Y'all know why I'm laughing, Because I'm laughing. People to

make these statement they don't even believe in it. I

can do all things through Christ. That strengthens me.

You care well, you know what when you make.

Those statements, I'm gonna tell you something. A lot of

y'all probably gonna be quiet, now, are those that's listening

on the airways, maybe some of y'all in here. See

when you make those statements like that, God is not

the only one that hears it. See the devil here's

the statements you make. And his job is to make

a liar out of you, to make a phony out

of you. I can do all things through Christ, who

strengthens me. Can you get out of that depression through

Christ that you say will strengthen you. Can you handle

the problems of this job through Christ, who you say

strengthen you? Because guess what, when you make that statement,

you open up the door for the test to come.

You open the door.

For the test to come, because he's coming in to

try to prove the faith you claim you got in

that you can do all things to him, He's coming to.

Prove that you You ain't strong as you say. You're

worried about what you saying. I'll be with you, Jesus,

I'll never leave you. I fight for you. I died

for you.

And then when they took Jesus, he was running scared.

He was running like a dog with a tail between

his legs.

You know, Jesus, I don't know that. Jesus.

Then he had to use profanity to disconnect himself from holiness,

to make sure that they knew that he was a

part of them, not a part of him. Why because

his fate failed him. Hey, man, he comes Jesus walking

on that water, letting them know there was nothing.

That he could not do.

Yes, saw me see five thousand just before he got

on the boat five thousand plus.

I got y'all. They were letting him know that.

I am that I am.

See.

What they failed to realize is that Jesus walking on

the sea was an unmistakable picture of his divine identity

and power.

If listen, if you.

Didn't believe me telling you what I could, the power

that I have, brother Diggan, and you saw.

Me walk on that water, how much.

More would it take for you to believe me to

tell you I can do whatever I want to do.

If I tell you what I can do, I tell

you I can do it.

Are you gonna believe me after you see me walk

on that water?

After I walk in that water and I come, you

tell you, man, I can heal you. Man, if you

want me to hear me, then, because.

Then my man like you donet walk through water. Yeah,

I'm sure you can do that. Y'all, don't hear what

I'm saying.

See what I'm trying to say right there is we

believe one thing that we see, but we don't believe

the thing can see that we asked for.

But faith is what faith the subtance of things not seen.

If you can see it, then you don't need to

believe it. You know it. How you with me, If

you can see it, you don't have to believe it.

You know it. There it is right there in front

of you.

After all these disciples had been through with the crowd

and the waves and the wind twice blowing strong.

Here comes Jesus. Here comes to Jesus walking on the water,

and they believe they saw a ghost.

See, your mind can help you believe whatever your mind

wants you to believe. That's why you have to have

the mind of Christ or control what your mind tries

to show and tell you.

Amen, he come out of nowhere. You have to think.

You got to put it in your mind. Put you

got a picture in your mind. And there's a ship

out there in the water with twelve disciples on it.

I don't know if y'all ever been on the ocean.

It can be scary even if it ain't.

No how it wins. And if you on, they went

on no vessel the sea.

There's no ship that don't look like a toy on

the water.

And an aircraft carrier.

If three football feels long, it still looks.

Like a dot in the ocean. Yeah, you're here.

I have to bring that help your mind, pitch this

because you're not on You're in this.

Boat and you're not on calm waters.

And at any minute the sea can swallow you up

and nobody will know where you are.

Huh.

See once you go under, huh, he ain't gonna tell them.

Where you are. See when a person falls off of

aircraft carry.

When I was in the military, that's why we have

to have a swivel head.

They tell you have a swivel head.

On the deck because you have to be able to

see everything.

Your swivel head is not just to save your life,

but it's to save your ship. Makes life. So somebody

get blown overboard and.

It depending on the depending on the condition of the

day and the water, they got three minutes to saving

are here die and when he falls over after somebody

got the hollow mad overboard and then the horns go off,

and then they move and are rushing at this and

they drop the boat. The boat's moving, the ship is

moving and it's moving and some knocks. When if he

fell over right here, the ship probably up there.

Now they don't say him. And the ocean is huge.

You cain't saying now when the waters the waters is

always moving up and down, sometime more vocious than others,

which means violent than other times.

It's how to see him.

They sit down, to rescue, to crew quickly, to try

to to try to locate them.

That's why we have to wear them bright vessels too.

One fellow fell over not too long ago. They didn't

find it. He was buried at sea.

And I mean they but see they didn't know how

long it.

Was that he fell over. That's very important. You have

to immediately know and see.

Somebody fall over because it takes more.

Than a notion.

And I'm saying all this because yes, they were fearful.

Yes, they had left the crowd.

They had got on the boat and the boat had

When they got out there, it was calm, but all

of a sudden, a certain time of the day, the

wind started blowing real.

Strong, and the and the waves.

Started lifting up, and they were already in panic right there.

And now all of a sudden, if that wasn't nothing, somebody, somebody,

somebody walking on the water.

If there ain't enough going on in my life, here

come a ghost.

Now I'm already in panic mode.

This boat rocking, water, coming over, boarding, splashing out, and

nine a ghosts walking on the water. We don't have

nowhere to go in this ghost walking towards us.

So now they're asking themself he sent us out here?

Where is Jesus in all of this?

In other words, it's the same thing that people say

unconsciously when they have a problem, they have a trial

and tribulation in their life. They don't have no relationship

with them, but they holler, oh Lord, you know why.

Now they need somebody to save them. So they're calling

on a savior. Amen, they're in trouble. They calling on

a savior. They were out there in the water asking themselves.

We ask ourselves. We get in, we get in predicaments

sometime and we be like, where is Jesus at in

all of this?

Where you at? Lord? I need you right now? You

know where he's at right there in you? He's in

you look for him in you. He ain't gone nowhere.

See the trials and the tribulations have caused your mind

to forget that he's right there. When problems come, we

forget the scripture and speak our own ideology and doctrine.

No speak that. Here comes the problem, Here comes a weapon.

You gotta speak. No weapon for him against me shall prosper.

You gotta speak it. Man, Let you bill come up

two hundred and fifty dollars, and I ain't got a

fifty dollars.

Oh, he shall supply all of my need. Speak. Those

words are spirit.

Speak the spirit into the spirituality of this, this, this, this,

this world, so it can come back to you.

The Bible said I won't come back void. Y'all don't

understand God. God, did y'all not understand.

What it meant when he said his words shall not

come back void. It ain't just talking about something that

you're not even thinking about. That you gotta say, no

weapon from against me should prosper.

You just spoke those words, in those words.

Which are spirit, which are God's words.

It can't come back void. It gotta come back and protect.

It's gotta come back and supply the joy of the

Lord is my strength. It's gotta come back and be

that joy and strengthen you.

Amen, somebody, he he's in you. And guess what he's

doing while he's in you. He's doing the unexpected and

the impossible work. He's doing the unexpected and the impossible

in you.

In you, I ain't finished that. Have a real faith.

See faith moves God, It's real. You gotta know how

to talk to God. She said, yeah, y'all do Yeah, yeah,

somebody I don't know how to talk to God. Yeah. Yeah.

We gotta be like some of these, some of these

religious people, you know, they get up here and they go, Father.

Of Abraham and Jacob and Isaiah.

Father of Mustausalem and Father of this world, I'm coming

to you right now.

And God's up here doing like this. Get to the point, man,

Can you get to the point.

By the time you get to the point, you've been

unvanished with all that simply Father of God in heaven.

You see my situation. You saw it before it ever came.

They talking to God, don't you hear me?

Lord? I need you right now, I know you here.

I need the manifestession of your power right now.

God.

See He's in you, you that have real faith in Him.

But in the midst of their fear, Jesus called out

to them, saying, it is I I I am.

God is here with you.

In other words, I'm here, and the fact that I'm here,

I'm your peace.

I'm your courage. I'm here. It is I am in

the midst of the star, I'm here. I am. I

am what your peace? I am your courage. I am

is here. Take hold of it and fear not.

Be not afraid. He was letting them know who he

really was. He was letting them know I am done.

Walked at her on the water, I got.

Up in the boat. Everything had to be still.

I'm your peace, I'm your courage, isaid forty three.

In verse ten. What does Jesus say? What does God say? Jesus?

He says, you are my witnesses, said the Lord and

my servant, whom I have chosen, that you may know

and believe me and understand that I am He. Before me,

there was no God form, neither shall there.

Be after me.

I even I am the Lord, and beside me there

is no savior. I have declared and have saved, and

have showed when there was no strange God among you.

Therefore you are my witnesses, said the Lord that I

am God.

He made a plain.

So when they saw that it was him, they were encouraged,

because see they were encouraged.

But the disciples had a real need right here. There

was a real need.

The need they head was real, and their fear was real.

The need was real, and the fear was real. But

they knew in the presence of Jesus, fear had.

To be dismissed.

And that's what we have to always know, because fear

and Jesus, like night and day, like light and darkness,

can't coexist together. They can't coexist together.

Either you got either.

You got the faith of Jesus or the fear of

the devil. He's the faith that Jesus, fear of the devil.

You can't you can't have them both. You can only

have one. You don't get one. Take one, strawberry, don't

take no more.

I got the other people that need the rest of these.

Can only have one. But Peter asked him, he said,

let me come out there. Man.

He wasn't testing Jesus. He was not testing Jesus. As

Matthews four and seven lets us understand what this actually means.

He was not testing Jesus.

What Peter was doing was asking to experience something.

Jesus said unto him.

It is written again, thou shalt not tempt the Lord

thy God. In other words, don't test me, don't test

me like that. But he wasn't testing Jesus. Peter was

the only one in the boat, the only person in

that boat. After he saw what he saw and heard

what he heard, he reacted in faith and this led

him to get a demonstration of God's real power.

That's what he wanted.

He got a demonstration of God's real power when he

walked out on the water. But the storm was still

brewing when he stepped out of the boat. But he

had faith enough to step out into the storm. But

when he took his concentration off of his eyes off

of Jesus, then his faith fell. Because what he did

was he took his eyes off of Jesus and put

his eyes on the problem. And when he put his

eyes on the problem, he made the problem bigger than Jesus.

See, so when you.

Make the problem bigger than Jesus, then you got a problem.

And when you want to see what the problem really

looks like compared to Jesus. Look down on the floor

and see if you can find the smallest dot.

That's how big the problem is compared to Jesus. If

you can see the doctor.

If you understand what I'm saying, Hey man, he wasn't

testing him. He wanted to experience the power that Jesus had.

But when he was experiencing it, the storm was still

going on.

But he lost faith in the experience he.

Was having by taking his eyes off of Jesus and

putting it on the problem.

That's what we do.

We put our eyes on the problem and don't have

faith in what the Word of God tells us. This

is where faith come from, faith coming.

By hearing and hearing what by hearing what?

This is where faith come from. So Peter was only

asking to do what Jesus was doing because he wanted to.

Share it in his power.

But Peter, like us, forgot that Jesus had already gave

him power. Jesus has already given us power. Aymen, But

you have to keep filling up.

Amen. It come as a mustard seed. Got a planet,

water it and it starts filling up.

Which way does a seed grow up. It comes through.

What a seed comes through trials.

And tribulations and suffering. It comes through.

It gotta break through the dirt, trials and tribulations. Hit

a rock might take it this away, and it's still

going up. It's got it suffering under there, and it's

going through trials and tribulations under there until bound it

breaks up past the earth and begin to grow even bigger.

Now because what happened, I made it.

And that's the same thing we have to do.

Matthew tells us in chapter ten and verse one.

See if they't come back here, I'm trying to give

you these script, the script Supos, to help you.

And when he had called him to him his twelve disciples,

he gave, he gave. He gave them power against unclean spirits,

to cast them out and to heal all manner of

sickness and all manner of disease. Peter wanted to experience

the power of Jesus, but he already gave him power. See,

he had already gave him the power before they got

on that boat. That was happened before the fifth the

house was said. And then he told them again.

In Luke. He came in Luke chapter nineteen. I'm sorry

Luke chapter ten.

In nineteen, he told them in Luke chapter ten, in

verse nineteen that behold, listen to what he says, I

give unto you. Behold watch this, take take me, take, take,

make pay attention. In other words, I've give un to

you power.

That power is authority to tread.

On serpents and scorpions and over all the power of

the enemy. And nothing shall by in it means do

what hurt you?

Why? Because he gave you power over all of that. Amen.

But when Peter took his eyes off of Jesus and

began he began to sink, just as we do when

we make our problems bigger than God and lose faith.

See, when we make a problem, you gotta go and

confess it.

If you make your problem bigger than God, and we've

all done it, you might well confess it. When you

make your problem bigger than God, you lose faith. Peter

had enough faith to believe and trust Jesus to walk.

On the water. He did.

That's why he stepped out of the boat. But when

he realized that trouble was all around him, his faith wavered.

But he still knew where his help came from.

And he called on Jesus.

See, you know your faith may fail, you better know

who to call on. Your faith failed, you better know who.

To call on. He knew who to call on.

Even though his faith failed, because See Peter's doubt was

just like ours. We'll his doubt was just like the

doubt that we have at times, just like ours. And

his doubt, just like ours, will always be our downfall

if we don't hold on the faith. See you, you

got to hold on the faith.

Faith ain't gonna just stay there with you.

You gotta hold on to it, you understand, because he's

coming to still.

Kill and destroyer.

If I'm super thirsty, I ain't had nothing to drink

in twenty one days, and somebody trying to get this

bottle of water from me, I got a hole onto it.

I got a hole on like a rock waller grip. Huh,

like a like a pit bull grip.

You know what I'm saying, to put bull grab something

and they just got him wabbing their or just shaking it.

He won't let it go.

That's how you got a hole on the faith, like

you got a.

Pit bull grip on it. And that's why Jesus said,

He said, Peter.

Why didn't you doubt when you have me always to

help you in your times of trouble.

Jesus was right there in the midst of it.

He probably was maybe a foot a two away, right there,

standing on the water with him, because the Bible say

he admits imediately reached and got him. Cause so he

couldn't have been there far away from him.

He had to step out on that out of that boat,

under that water.

And he had to walk out to Jesus. And when

he got close enough to Jesus, he looking at Jesus,

and then he took his eyes off of Jesus.

Started looking at the trouble that was around him.

And then when he looked at the trouble around him,

like we knew we made, he made the trouble bigger

than Jesus standing right in front of him, and took

him to a sinking hole.

See that's what happens. We begin to sink in our

troubles when we don't have faith in God. Amen. He

had enough faith to get out there on the water.

That's a lot of faith for me to step out

of a boat and walking onto you got see. You

gotta remember when I kept saying that the the the

ways and the wind was still doing what they was doing.

Hey man, you got to understand that the winds were violent.

You know ways when the wind is.

Violent, the waves of the water they come over the ship.

Are y'all getting the pictures?

These waves are just these waves are just violent. They

didn't stop being violent when he stepped out of that boat.

He stepped right out there on that trouble like that

trouble wasn't even there. That water was just who if

you haven't watched waves on TV.

And the boat's going up and down like that, that's

how that water was. But the Bible said it was

violent at that point. That's enough to sink ships. But

he walked out on it. He walked out on that trouble.

Because he believed Jesus in his trouble. But then he

took his eyes off of Jesus. We believe it or not.

We believe him as long as trouble don't come.

And when trouble come, why don't we believe it in

We just seen trouble before. This was this was all about.

You just seen this trouble before. Here, this trouble come again.

You oughta been strengthened for that trouble to come back again.

How y'all getting what I'm saying.

They saw all these miracles in wonders that Jesus did,

but it was not until they entered the boat that

the storm stopped. It didn't stop until they got in

the boat. I should I say it didn't stop until

Jesus got in the boat because Jesus is the prince

of peace. So it didn't stop until Jesus got in

the boat, because he is the prince of peace, and

where he is, peace of bids. I know as a testimony.

I was in a place and havoc was all over

the place. I began to pray for the peace of him,

and it was all gone. That's the truth from here

to blow. Jesus has power over every situation, every circumstance.

He got power over all of it to them that

believe and have that faith. And because they saw all

of that, how Peter, you gotta remember these disciples, they

watching Peter step back their boat and walk to Jesus.

And not only did they watch him walk to Jesus,

saw him start sinking. And when they saw him start sinking.

They also saw Jesus.

Look here, now, y'all gotta pay attention.

Watched this when he started sinking, Jesus didn't pick him

up and put him on his back.

He grabbed his hand, lifted him up.

Now he back on the water, and now he walking

on it again because he.

Had to get to the ship. Do you didn't carry

him over? His faith came back. That's how he did.

See that was that's another time. That was the first time, brother,

and the second time it happened to Peter. He said,

when you have strengthened yourself, when your faith come back again.

See this is when he denied him three times. This

the second time he had telling me. And so when

he said, when you have when your faith, when you

have strengthened yourself, he said, go strengthen your brother.

When your faith come back to you.

After crying and boohoo and lying and cussing the folk out,

trying to make the folk believe you had nothing to

do with me, when you come back from all that

weeping and and and sorrow of what you did, he said,

strengthen yourself. And then I want you to go and

strengthen your brother.

Mm hm the rock mm hm.

And so when all that happened, they had watched all

this that other disciples, and at this point they declared

that Jesus was truly.

Oh you got to be the son of God. Doc.

Come on, now, who you think I am? Who you

think I am? Sir, leader, you'll see me walking on water? Come,

I'm some You might not know what to call me,

but but you can call me somebody.

I'm walking on the I'm walking on the sea. That

is voistous. You don't hear what I'm saying. I'm walking

on the water, and I ain't shaken with a ways.

I'm just walking on the water. And the ways is

just clowning. But I'm just walking on the water because

I'm peace. That's how I walk on the water. Like

it's I'm peace.

Huh.

I am peace, and peace can walk in the midst

of a storm like the storm ain't there.

I'm peace.

You somebody. I don't know who you are, but you somebody.

But see the reason why they knew that he was

God because they didn't heard it. So they looking at

him now like, oh, yeah, you truly out of sun

of God, You truly out of son of God. So

when they said that, it indicated something. It indicates when

they said in the scripture that you truly are the

son of God, it indicated that there was an indication

and a progression or progressiveness in their faith, because what

you truly are the son of God. Whether they're saying,

I believe you truly out the son of God, I believe.

So at that point they faith had increased. They weren't

all the way that, but it had increased, ay man.

But they still had a lot to learn about who

Jesus was and what he had come to do. Because

even after this incident, Peter denied him three times. And

not only did Peter deny him three times, the disciples scattered.

They were had. They got Jesus, they got our leader.

You know, they coming after us. You go there on

follow me. They got on down. But Peter us like,

I'm gonna follow Jesus. I'm the rock. Then they started

seeing it.

Oh Lord, now I see that court right there that

they haven't that's illegal. They can do whatever they want

to do. And they got our leader. Man while he

paying attention, excuse me, saying, ain't you one of them

Jesus folk?

No, no, you ain't gonna throw me in there with him.

His faith had failed him.

The trial and tribulation of life had caused his faith

to fail.

Amen. So I asked you their question again in closing.

Because of the times that we're living in, and we're

living in a reality of gas prices up. I went

in and store the other day and six tomatoes was

eleven dollars or something. We're living in a see see,

that's enough right there for some people to panic. Tomato

eleven dollars or six, that's the ones that you know.

They put three in the little thing, and then they

took the guy in produce on the meat department. Rather,

he took one tomato and weighed on the scale for

me and I and because he said so much, you know,

a pound, and then he put it on the scale

one tomato.

That tomato was three dollars or something. One tomato.

Gas is up to four dollars everywhere. Now three ninety nine,

y'all is four dollars. I saw another place where it

was four thirty nine in Memphis, four nineteen in Memphis.

Thank god you're not in California. It's around seven eight

dollars gallup four to five to six dollars in Detroit,

five or six dollars in Michigan.

Four dollars over here. What am I telling you?

I'm telling you this for a reason, because these are

the times that God spoke about. This is the reason

you got the message today. How strong is your faith?

Fainth not? Because God will never leave you? Not for

sake you. God made you a.

Promise that he would always supply all of your needs.

He said that to those that believe. That's God. That's

what he said. He says he's gonna take care of

his people. And when you believe God, you believe that

he is going to do what he says he's gonna do.

Ay Man, Because we're living in some bad times. They're

closing churches, they're closing hospital over they're closing schools. They're

closing things because people can't keep up, they can't afford it.

Stores are being closed. I just see where they're closing

some BUCkies. They closed some more walmarts. They're closing some things.

They're closing a lot of things.

They're closing the coffee shops.

I see where they're closing some five guys. I like

fat Gas.

But I know why they're closing, they're gonna hamburger frying

to shake it thirty dollars.

And that was before the gas prices. So you understand

what I'm saying to you all.

Is that our faith is being tested by the spirit

of this world, which is the devil.

He's testing your faith. Coffee tested our faith.

There's a disease right now that was on a ship

that don't killed some folks. They say it's gonna be

the next COVID. That's a fair tactic, that's what they're saying.

But where will we stand in all of this? Well,

I know where I'm gonna stand, and I can't stand

for you. I can only stand for me. I can

help you stand if you want to stand, but I

can't stand for you. Now you understand what I'm saying.

And like a man want to get up, I can

help him get up, but I gotta let him go.

At some point. If you want to stand up here,

stand up.

You don't even fall back down, especially if he got

the strength in his legs once I give h up.

Amen. So I'm just saying, if you want to stand,

you need to.

You need to stand, because standing is what is gonna

You're gonna need.
