Yeah, they do it. Hoigly loujah, Thank you Jesus, hoighlylujah.
-
We get praised under God this morning, Amen, in our
-
precious name of Jesus Christ, who is our Lord and
-
our savior. Not just I save you, but yet our
-
Lord as well. Amen. I greet you this morning the
-
precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen, thanking and praising God
-
for each and every one of you who are here today. Amen,
-
we thank God for another day. We say that, we
-
say those things like you know, and and I've always
-
uh emphasized that we say we thank the Lord for
-
yet another day. But do we really I mean, it's
-
it's the thing to say, But what are we really
-
feeling about the very thing that we're saying? Are we
-
really grateful that God woke us up this morning? You
-
know some people, some people are not grateful are thankful
-
that God woke them up. But I truly am thankful
-
that God woke me up this morning and then allow
-
me to go on into a deeper sleep, Amen, to
-
see another beautiful day that God has made given opportunity
-
for me to tell somebody else about the Lord Jesus Christ,
-
to minister his word to his people. Amen. God is
-
truly merciful and graceful. He truly is merciful, and he
-
truly has grace that he applies to us. Amen. We
-
thank God, Amen, and allowing him to be the head
-
of our lives. We have to allow God to do that.
-
God's not going to just take over and do that. Amen.
-
We have to allow him to do that. And we
-
cannot compromise. And as I spoke earlier this morning, how
-
we have to completely do the will of our Father completely.
-
We can't compromise because of people's feelings being hurt. We
-
must tell them the truth. We can't get into our
-
emotional state. We must tell people the truth because they
-
gonna learn the truth. But if God give it to
-
you to do it, you don't do it, You're gonna
-
have a penalty. Amen. You don't want a penalty from God.
-
You might want one from me. Man, I promise you
-
don't want one from God. Amen. Amen. Let us let
-
us pray. Father. We thank your Lord, We think and
-
praise you and give you glory, for you are the
-
reason that we're even here today. And we thank you
-
for allowing us in such a holy God's presence. Your
-
presence is so holy. God, Help us, dear Lord, to
-
be holy as you are. Holy Father. God, we know
-
you didn't call us to be good, but you called
-
us to be holy. Help us to be holy. Help
-
us to know the difference. God, that being good is
-
not being holy. Help us Father, because we do not
-
want to be deceived. Lord, Let the light so shine God,
-
that we can see our way in all Always in
-
the name of Jesus Christ. Rebuke the enemy that he
-
don't vamboozle hood winker our smartest because of the Lord
-
Jesus Christ that lives in us. God. We thank you, Lord,
-
that you continue annoint us afresh each and every day.
-
Thank you for this day. And Lord, if we said
-
anything God outside of your character, we spoke anything, if
-
we read anything, we looked at anything, if we thought
-
anything God that was not pleasant to thee. God. For
-
our eyes need to see what you see. Our minds
-
need to imagine what you and think what you think. God.
-
Forgive us God, search us. Lord. We just want to
-
be right God. We want to be covered God. We
-
want to cover everything God, because we know scashly shall
-
the righteous make it in? We want to be right God,
-
that we make it in God, in the name of Jesus,
-
we want to live this life according to your will,
-
giving you the glory, showing your glorious work in us
-
to the world that the world may want to be
-
just like the Jesus that's inside of us. In the
-
name of Jesus Christ, this is our prayer of God.
-
Now as your word go forth, God, your anainted word
-
goes forth by your anointed man of God, your anointed servant.
-
Let it go into these anointed vessels in this house
-
in the name of Jesus Christ. Let it grow us.
-
Let it turn on the light where there's darkness that
-
we may have thought was right but really was wrong.
-
Or let the light so shine God that we'll even
-
see that thing that's trying to hide. In the name
-
of Jesus God, do it for us. God, We'll be
-
mindful always to give you the glory in the praise
-
and the honor. And this Jesus name God, in Jesus name.
-
In Jesus' name, there is no name above his name.
-
There is no name that can do what his name
-
can do. There is no name God but the name
-
of Jesus. Jesus, Jesus, we call it on your name
-
even now, Lord, in the name of Jesus Jesus. Yes, Lord,
-
every year that here is today God, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
-
Here's the name. Know the name, have strength in the name.
-
Know that the name gives strength in the name. Either
-
demons tremble at the name, the powerful name of Jesus.
-
They don't tremble it our name. They tremble it his name.
-
And God, we thank you. You give us every weapon
-
we need to fight the spiritual war. Help us, Holy
-
Spirit to use it rightly in Jesus Holy name. In
-
the church said thank God. Amen and amen, Thank you Jesus, hallylujah.
-
Amen, Thank you Jesus. We're gonna talk abo about Paul today.
-
Man, And if you would turn with me to the
-
Book of Acts, chapter twenty and verse twenty four, Chapter
-
twenty and verse twenty four. When you get there, saymen. Amen.
-
When you get the saymen, I her page is turning.
-
Somebody that's still not there yet. Amen. Amen. I'm not
-
talking to everybody. Amen. Amen. Amen, Thank you. Jeeves. Sometimes
-
I can't hear. You have to be a little loud
-
for me. Somebody told me that's read why I talk loud,
-
Because I can't hear that? Good Amen anyway, Acts Chapter twenty,
-
verse twenty four, the Bible says, but none of these
-
things move me. It's Paul talking. What things is Paul
-
talking about. Paul's proclaiming putting himself entirely in the hands
-
of the Lord. That's the only thing that moving. None
-
of these things move me. He said, neither count out
-
my life, dear unto me. Neither count of my life
-
dear unto me. See, his life belongs to the Lord,
-
and the Lord could do with him as he desired.
-
This was Paul saying. When he say use me, Lord,
-
he meant that. He meant that. We all say a
-
lot of things, like I said earlier, But is there
-
any depth in it? Do it really meaning? Paul is
-
telling him? Paul is talking, and he's saying, here, neither
-
count my life, dear unto myself, because my life belonged
-
to the Lord. That's what he's saying. And in all
-
of my desires or whatever his desires is for my life.
-
And he goes on to say, so that I might
-
finish my course with joy. That's why if God is
-
in control and he's taking control of your life, he
-
said this, I want you to do, because all of
-
them your desires. I want him to be my desire,
-
so that I might finish my course with joy and
-
the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus,
-
to testify the gospel of the grace of God. So
-
he proclaims the basics of what this course is. Amen.
-
The message of Paul is Jesus Christ and him crucified.
-
That's his message. Amen. Now we're gonna look at this
-
Paul's statement of his priority. This is paul statements of
-
his priorities. This is his priorities, this is his values.
-
It is a great perspective for any believer of any age.
-
Self preservation must be servered to the faithful completion of
-
the work assigned by the Lord Jesus to each and
-
every believer. Amen. Paul was a single minded person, and
-
the most important goal of Paul's life was telling others
-
the good news. Amen. Amen, let us turn to Philippians
-
chapter three, and you may be seated in the House
-
of the Lord. In Philippians chapter three and verses thirteen
-
and fourteen through fourteen, Paul here is saying. In chapter
-
three of Philippians, he says, Brethren, I count not myself
-
to have apprehended. He repeats this. This is a repetition,
-
repeating this of what he said back in the latter verses.
-
He's repeating it again. He says, brother, other than I
-
count not myself to have apprehended. What is he talking about?
-
But this one thing I do forgetting these those things
-
which are behind Paul is talking about the past, Amen,
-
talking about things people depended on, all the apostles that
-
depended on to have favor with God, and the failure
-
of the type of the efforts brought because of those
-
things that they depended upon. Amen. He says, I reached
-
forth unto those things which are before. So now his
-
attention is not on the past. His attention must be
-
on which is ahead, not the past, and not on
-
what is passed. So these things consist of all victories
-
of the cross. Amen. And he goes on to say,
-
I press towards the mark. I press towards the mark.
-
So he has a spiritual mark that he's pressing towards
-
and forgetting those things that are behind him the past. Why,
-
because he's pressing forward, he's not going back. He's not
-
gonna let nobody take him back. He's not gonna consider
-
you talking about his past. He's gonna coach. He's going
-
towards the future of what God gets for him, because
-
he's pressing forward towards the mark. What mark for the
-
prize of the high calling of Jesus. That's the Christ's
-
likeness in Jesus Christ is what he's pressing forward towards.
-
Because he says, in Christ Jesus. And so he's telling
-
you in what manner and the means in which all
-
these this is done, which is in Christ Jesus the Cross.
-
Hey man, let's look what Paul says to us by
-
the leading of the Lord. In First Corinthians Chapter one.
-
Paul was a powerful apostle and a follower of Jesus Christ.
-
And he meant what he said, and he did what
-
he meant. He did not compromise. He continued to go
-
forward and go straight amen. He continued to go forward
-
and go straight amen. First Corinthians, Chapter one and verse seventeen,
-
Paul says, for Christ sent me not to baptize, but
-
to preach the gospel. He's talking about the reason why
-
God sent me with the priest the gospel. This is
-
the manner in which He sent me because He sent
-
me in this manner to be to save people from sin,
-
not with wisdom of words, not with his intelligence, not
-
with his own intellect. Least the Cross of Christ should
-
be made of none effect. So he's saying, in knowing
-
certain terms, I have to preach the Cross of Christ.
-
It must always be emphasized, always emphasized in my message.
-
This is what God saved me for, and I'm compelled
-
to do it a man. So here, Paul, brother, and
-
I count not myself to be apprehended, but this one
-
thing I do for getting those things which are behind,
-
reaching forth unto those things which are before. So here,
-
Paul did not consider that he had achieved spiritual maturity.
-
He did not achieve it. He was not all he
-
knew he should be. Some of us think we all
-
this and that, But we ain't all this and that
-
in the Lord. Yet, hey man, and Paul recognizes, this
-
is what we gotta do. We gotta recognize our maturity.
-
We can't be comparing ourselves to other folks. We have
-
to compare ourselves to our own spiritual growth. Amen, and
-
understand that we have not yet achieved that which is
-
to be achieved. Yet this is what Paul is saying.
-
He said, brother, and I count not myself to have apprehended.
-
I ain't got there yet. But although he's saying, he's
-
not saying that to make an excuse for maybe some
-
failures that he may have in life. That's not what
-
he's saying. He's not trying to comfort people. Oh okay,
-
I see what he's saying. Yeah, see see he ain't perfect.
-
Uh uh. He's not saying this before you can use
-
for an excuse. But he was just saying it because
-
he was not all he knew he should be, but
-
he lived in absolute confidence of his ultimate our vation.
-
Like we must have perfection as our goal. Perfection should
-
be our goal. Why because God said, be ye perfect
-
So perfection should be our goal. Why because God didn't
-
asked us to do it as a commandment. Let's look
-
at Matthews. I'm gonna move pretty swift here. Swift is
-
he allowed me to move Matthews, Chapter five and versus four,
-
Starting at verse four. Matthew Cha five. First four He said,
-
Blessed are they who he said, Blessed are they whom
-
on for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek,
-
for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed they would do
-
hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be felled.
-
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed
-
are the pure and heart. This is where he was
-
trying to get to Paul in these scriptures. He's fourth verses,
-
Blessed all the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Amen.
-
This is his goal in right standings. So he's saying,
-
we must have the perfection. That perfection be our goal,
-
and not to pretend that sin does not exist, because
-
it exists. We're not to pretend that sin does not exist.
-
As we read in First John, chapter one and verse eight.
-
First John, chapter one and verse eight, and the Bible
-
reads again a new commandment. I write unto you which
-
thing is true in him, him being Christ, and in you,
-
if we are in him, because the darkness is past,
-
because we in Him, and the true light now shine.
-
The true light is Christ, which light will shine forever
-
and pertains to the time since Christ has come. Verse
-
eight of First John. First John. I'm sorry, y'all, my
-
ayes jumping around again. But nevertheless, I'm coming to I
-
should be coming to that too. God I had to
-
read that too, I wouldn't come into it. But it's applicable.
-
It's applicable here in the attitude and character that Paul
-
is pertaining to. But what I wanted to read and
-
what I was sinned to read is different. Verse eight
-
of chapter one of First John. It says, if we
-
say that we have no sin, because this is what
-
we were alluding to, the fact that we cannot pretend
-
that sin don't exist. And it says, if we say
-
that we have no sin, and this is referring to
-
the sin nature, okay, because you must understand this that
-
Jesus Christ did not come for sin. He came for
-
the sin nature, hey man, because we had a sin nature,
-
and so he came to change the nature of us
-
to a holy and a righteous nature. See, we were
-
bored in sin shaped and iniquity. So we had a
-
sin nature and our nature was the sin. But when
-
Jesus manifested, walked, died, buried, resurrected, counseled it out allowed
-
us to recognize and be saved from sin and have
-
power over sin. Now our nature must change when we
-
received Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. So if
-
we say that we have no sining, we deceive ourselves.
-
You're lying to your own self. Self deception, I've told
-
you on many occasions, is the worst deception you could
-
have one. Thank my daughter for point me in the
-
right direction. Let me say that, but self deception is
-
the worst deception. Anybody can help. I could be trying
-
to deceive you and somebody can come. You know he
-
lying to you, don't you? But when you lie to yourself,
-
it's hard for anybody to tell you lying to yourself,
-
you don't believe. You just rooted and ground and anything.
-
So if we say that we have no sin, we
-
deceive ourself, it is say you deceive everybody else. It's
-
saying you deceive your own self, and the truth is
-
not in us. So your nature will still be sinful.
-
If you deceive yourself and say that you have no sin,
-
not that you continually have a sinful nature. Heymen, don't
-
get in twist because people run with discript and say
-
we send a save bad grades. We still sinners. No,
-
we ain't had you gonna be a sinner and a
-
saint don't mix. Don't matter how you gonna be a
-
new creature in Christ. If you're still a sinner as
-
a sinner, that's the old man. Are y'all with me?
-
People run around try to convince you that. I see
-
people on TV say that, people ministering the word of
-
God telling them we still sinners. But yet God, No,
-
he ain't. You might be, but I'm not right, No,
-
we're not. We're a new creature in Christ. If you're
-
a new creature in Christ, Dick, you ain't no sinner.
-
Saint sinner? Don't you think those two have two different definitions?
-
Saint sinner? Paul saying, don't deceive yourself, don't vamboozoo yourself,
-
because sin can creep right up on you if you
-
ain't paying attention. Amen. So Paul here is telling us,
-
don't deceive ourselves. Don't pretend that sin does not exist.
-
The past should not be used as a barrier to
-
the future. Amen. Everybody likes to go back to the
-
past when they want to comfort themselves in what you
-
used to, You used to, you used to, you used to,
-
you used to? And then I tell people the word
-
used to is the very key in your sentence. The
-
key in my sening is I don't know more. The
-
passion I be used as a barrier to the future,
-
as an excuse for dropping out or for avoiding proper
-
spiritual conduct in our relationship with God. It's no excuse.
-
There's no excuse, because God said, man's without excuse too.
-
That's the most important thing. So you can't use your
-
past as an excuse, Amen, because Paul says, Paul said,
-
I ain't even looking at my past. I'm looking forward.
-
I got my head turned this way. I can't even
-
see that. What you talking back? You remember, brother, when
-
you used to when I want I can't see that?
-
Is that Backhuy? I can't see that. I don't walk backwards.
-
I walk forward. So we can't. We have to avoid
-
looking back and using our past for an excuse. Is
-
why our conduct is not of God, Amen, is why
-
we're not in the right relationship with God. Some people
-
believe I've done so much God will never forgive me,
-
and people actually tell people that mess him up. You're
-
not the forgiver God is. You're not the savior God is,
-
and God will saved whomever he pleased and whomever he
-
pleased it once it wants to be saved, Amen, you're not.
-
You have to save your checker. You see, Paul would
-
forget his past, his past credentials, how great he was,
-
a scholar in the law. He will forget his past,
-
he said, I count those things as not and his
-
accomplishments and sining. He forget his his his credit, his credentials.
-
He forgets his accomplishments, he forgets his the sin that
-
he's sinning, and run the race, reaching for the finish line,
-
pressing towards the gold. I gotta leave that stuff behind me.
-
I can't let this stuff weigh me down. It's called baggage.
-
You can't run with fifty pound weights around your ankles,
-
thirty pound weights around your wrist, and a vested weighs
-
one fifty. In other word, Paul was saying, I count
-
not myself to have apprehended it. Whatever gifts, grace or
-
honor I may have received from Jesus Christ, I consider
-
everything as incomplete till I have finished my course and
-
got this crime. See See, the race ain't over because
-
you done got saved. The race ain't over because you're
-
giving God the glory. The race ain't over because you're
-
living a righteous life before God. It ain't over. It's
-
not complete. Revelations. Lets you know it's not complete. If
-
Bible says in the Book of Revelations that those that
-
endure to the end, that's the completion, shall be saved.
-
So you ain't complete yet, you ain't totally saved yet.
-
You're walking into playing salvation right now, trying to get
-
the prize of the Crown of Christ Jesus ay Man.
-
He said, I consider everything is incomplete till I have
-
finished my course, got the crown, and have body, and
-
have my body raised and fashioned after his glue. Ray see,
-
because when Paul is talking about when I'm gone, resurrected
-
and got that glory fact body, then I don't count
-
that thing complete. That thing complete now incomplete? Now dec
-
when I raise up in that glorious body, Oh yeah,
-
that's it. That's it. But until the end, I stretch
-
forth toward the mark. I continue the race, looking forward
-
for the prize. But I yet not apprehended it yet.
-
But I'm stretching forth and I ain't going back. He said,
-
this one thing I know. If he don't know nothing else,
-
he said, this one thing, I know, this one thing
-
I know. This one thing ain't I do. This is
-
his concern. It is the soul business. He says, of
-
my life forgetting those things which I behind m mm hmmm,
-
soul business that his conduct is not regulated nor influenced
-
by others. Mm hmm. Pass. This only thing gonna influence me,
-
This only thing gonna drive me for. Not what you say,
-
not what you say, not what you say unless you're
-
saying this, If you're saying this, yes, I don't want.
-
I wanna talk about how I used to date four
-
five women, forgetting those things which I'm behind me because
-
see I got a wife. Now I'm going forward. You
-
don't hear what I'm saying. I consider my calling, amen.
-
I will not be influenced by others. I regulated by
-
them either. Ay Man, I'm considering my calling. That's why
-
my master, my work and my end, Oh glory, he said.
-
I'm considering my calling. I'm not gonna be influenced by you.
-
All my life be regulated by you. You got your
-
own life to live, trying to live my life in
-
your life. No, I'm not considering you, noother regulations you're
-
trying to put upon me. What I'm considering is the
-
call that God has called me to my Master's What
-
I'm considering my work for him is what I'm considering,
-
and my end to my work is what I'm considering.
-
You don't hear what Paul is saying. If others think
-
that they have time to be slow full, I play games,
-
I don't mind it. I have not that time. I
-
don't have that cantain. Pausa, I hain't got that kind
-
of time because time is flying and eternity is at hand.
-
She ain't got that cantaime. Eternity is at hand, Dick.
-
Look at the world. We're in, the end of it all.
-
Prophecy is being fulfilled for the end time Possa, I
-
ain't got that cantaion. I'm saying the same thing, y'all.
-
Thomas said, I ain't got that cantain more and Moi's day,
-
I'm realizing I don't have that kind of time more
-
and mois day, hey man, because you gotta grow every
-
day more and Moy's day, I'm realize that I don't
-
have that kind of time. Why because eternity is at
-
hand and my all is at steak. My all is
-
a steak. What's my all? My soul, it's a steak.
-
That's why I'm reaching fourth, I'm reaching forth. This lets
-
us know Paul's point in the race that he's running.
-
He's running this race with every muscle, every nerve in
-
his body, and he's putting fourth, every particle, every piece,
-
every micro of his strength in running this race. He's
-
putting his all in it, everything his mind, body, spirit, soul,
-
his physical, his spiritual, everything in this race. You know
-
why he was doing all that same reason you should
-
be doing it, because he's running for his life. That's
-
why you running for your life. Paul was running for
-
his life, and you running for yours right now. You
-
either running backwards in your life or you're running forward.
-
You know, when you're running backward, you are definitely definitely
-
gonna trip and fall. You definitely gonna stumble. You can
-
stumble running forward, but you can get up and dust
-
yourself off. See, at least you won't hit the back
-
of your head. If you're running forward in your trip,
-
you can you can brace yourself with your hands. But
-
if you fall backwards, you're gonna bust your head. I
-
used to hear him say one of the running backs
-
in the NFL, he ran, You've never seen dirt on
-
his back. You're running Ford, hey man, he's running trying
-
to make a hundred because ninety nine and a half
-
won't do. He's running trying to make a hundred because
-
he said I stretched forth for the prize. He stretched.
-
You see those Olympic runners when they running and when
-
they get close to the finish line and some of
-
them are so close together, they stretch out. They stretch
-
all the way out like that next stretched out head.
-
They just stretched out. Why because they trying to win.
-
Every fight where they body, every muscle in their legs,
-
in their arm, they stretching trying to get cross the
-
finish line. They stretches. They're trying to get cross that
-
finish line. I'm trying to beat you in. They're all
-
trying to win the race because they were one person
-
gonna get the prize. So every fight where they body
-
they putting into the race, they swing in, they arm,
-
they moving their legs, they're keeping their feet straight. They
-
striving for the finish line, and when they get there
-
and it looks so close, they stretch. The difference in
-
that race in this race is that you all win.
-
When you cross the finish line, there ain't one winner.
-
And not only the fact that you run, you're not
-
even running to win the race because you already won.
-
You're just trying to get to the finish line and
-
receive the prize that you already won. Hitting that awesome,
-
that that physical race, they like the spiritual one. Only
-
one person gonna stand on the top pole, they with
-
the golden medal around his neck. But when all of
-
us run the course and cross the finish line, the
-
pedalestal is for all of us. We all win us
-
because we've already won. Jesus is standing at the finish
-
line holding the prize for everybody, y'all. Don't hear what
-
he's saying. I pressed towards the mark. Paul was like
-
a runner in a race, straining towards the finish line.
-
Paul pressed on and on in life to reach the
-
end of the race and receive the prize. The prize
-
the prize of salvation in Jesus Christ. The prize is
-
the salvation in Jesus Amen. First Corinthians, chapter nine, in
-
verse twenty four. First Corinthians, Chapter nine and verse twenty four.
-
Know ye not that they which run in a race
-
run all but one receives the prize. So run that
-
ye may obtain the prize. What's the prize. All who
-
run for Christ, spiritually speaking, wins the crown. There is
-
no losers. Amen, There ain't no first place, second place
-
in third place, is all first place for those that
-
run the race for Jesus Christ. Amen two. Timothy, I
-
gotta give you some proof, tewod Timothy Chapter four, in
-
verse seven, he said, I have fought a good fight.
-
I have fought a good fight. Paul fought his fight
-
with sin to a finish and was rested in a
-
complete victory. He fought the sin to the victory. He said,
-
I fought a good fight. I have finished my cause
-
faithfully here undid this? I have kept the faith. Then
-
you see that, Then you see that. And then he says,
-
hence fought. There is laid up for me, laid up
-
for me a crown of righteousness. That's the victorious crown,
-
by the way which the Lord, the righteous judge shall
-
give me at that day, at the day of judgmency
-
of Christ, that day. And not to me only somebody
-
out to say hallelujah, not to me, only, not to me.
-
There's some more folks, there are some more folks me.
-
We'll raise my hand. And not to me only, but
-
unto all them also who love his appearing. This crown
-
is for all of us who consider the appearance and
-
the preciousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen
-
Paul's aim, just like I aim, is to win the prize.
-
That's how I aim to run. You ain't just running
-
to be running. Some folks get the running and they
-
quit running because they get behind. But there's no losers,
-
so you ain't behind. So that's your sad office. Start
-
running again. Because everybody that cross the finish line wins
-
is a winner. Hey man, all who run, all who run,
-
Somebody say, all who run and finish the race win
-
the race as well. All for the prize. Christ. Jesus
-
is calling us up to heaven. The heavenly call is
-
the summons to win the victorious prize of salvation. We've
-
all been summons. We've been summoned. July. You summons to
-
go to court. Y'all scared not to go, frightened not
-
to go. Why you scaged to death because you're gonna
-
be locked up if you don't take heed to the
-
summons of the court of this world. Yeah, but when
-
Jesus summons you, you you ain't fearful. You're not fearful.
-
You're good. He don't want nothing I get with him. Later.
-
You don't tell the judge that when you get that
-
summons come in your mailbox. When you when you see
-
the court name on her, you get shaky for you
-
open up the thing. And then when you open it,
-
they got it in bold letters on top of the
-
reading summon us. What your eyes get bunked at your head?
-
And what all is about? But when Jesus summons you,
-
it ain't about nothing but something good. It's all good.
-
But we don't get scared to life when Jesus summons us,
-
But we get scared to death when the when the
-
court summons us. Why can't you get scared to life? Huh,
-
I'm scared to life. I promise you I ain't scared
-
to death. I'm scared to life. The summons of Jesus
-
Christ is to win the victory, the prize of salvation,
-
h the reward which God from above calls us by
-
Jesus Christ to receive. See, God got this reward. Come on, y'all,
-
God got this reward for you. You know how you
-
like to be You know you like to be noticed.
-
Uh Huh. You know you're on your job and you
-
want to be Uh. You want you you want them
-
to notice you for a raise. God got the best
-
raise in the world. You want you want to be
-
noticed for a raise. You want to you want to
-
be noticed for your accomplishments. Hey man. But God has
-
a reward for your accomplishments too, not for your good works,
-
not for you being good, but for you being holy.
-
Hey man, he has a reward for you for that.
-
It's called heaven. Again, I say, he already went. He
-
ain't waiting to go. He already went. Everybody, he told
-
you that he was going. And he said when he
-
gets there, he gonna prepare place. So that place is prepared.
-
If Lisa cooked me a cake, it's for me, I
-
might shad. But she prepared it. She went, and as
-
she went to the store, she came home, broke egg,
-
mixed it up, baked it, icing it. All that prepared
-
it for me for me mine. That's what Jesus said.
-
I'm preparing the place for you. You you you you, you, you, you, you,
-
you and you. That place it's prepared just for you.
-
Nobody else can happen. It's for you. So the reward
-
that God has is a prepared place in heaven for you.
-
There's nothing better that can be prepared for you. God
-
is setting there waiting to give it to you. You
-
ain't waiting on God as people he say, waiting on
-
God to bless me. Dog, you know what I'm saying, God,
-
I don't know what taking him so long. He ain't
-
taking him along at all. It's you. You haven't gotten
-
in position to receive what God got for you. You want
-
to get it, Get a position and you'll get it.
-
We ain't wait on God. Who wants to wait on
-
God regime? Not me? Why would we have to wait
-
on somebody to say they're omnipresent. He's an on time God. Yes, yeah,
-
he's an on time God because he's right there. Y'all
-
get happy about them them slow songs. Folks be saying slow,
-
they slow. I don't agree with them. So he's an
-
on time. He ain't on time. He ain't got me
-
on time. He's already present. You gotta be you an
-
on time person, Yes you are. That's how you got
-
to saying it, saying it all wrong. God's on time
-
because he's ever a president, and his reward the reward
-
which God, The reward which God from above calls us
-
by Christ Jesus to receive, is salvation in Jesus Christ.
-
Paul yet still keeps in view. He's still kept in view.
-
Even though he was continuing, he kept this is what
-
he kept in view. This is what we got to
-
keep in view. We talk about it. We got to
-
keep in view the crown, keep the crown in view.
-
He kept in view, the margin that he would die
-
for Christ and his glorious resurrection. These are the things
-
that Paul kept in view. He kept in view, the
-
crown and the mardam, which means he was gonna die
-
for Christ. He kept in view. The crown he kept
-
in view, dying for Christ, now for the devil, dying
-
for Christ. The crown that God has for us, dying
-
in Jesus Christ. He kept that in view. And he
-
kept in view. The resurrection he kept in view. The
-
crown he kept in view of dying. And he kept
-
in view resurrecting, resurrecting, going up to be with the Lord,
-
his glorious resurrection. Not just the resurrection, but the glorious resurrection.
-
That's what he kept in view. Paul kept these things
-
in view. Paul was an attic. He was a He
-
was a fanatic. You gotta think about Paul now. He
-
was a fanatic about whatever he did. He learned from
-
gamniellis a gamniellarrow I have his name is pronounced. He
-
was a scholar of the law of the Jews. Paul
-
became a scholar. Paul was just. He was just ain't
-
all about his stuff. He knew that law back and forward, sideways,
-
upside down. He persecuted the Christians with everything in him.
-
Everything he did with everything in him. He learned the
-
law with everything in him. He persecuted Christians with everything
-
in him. He persecuted the Church with everything in him.
-
And then on the road to the mind he got
-
he got shined upon so bright that the darkness had
-
to leave, and the light prevailed. And when the light prevailed,
-
he was an attic and doing the will of God.
-
He didn't care. We're gonna lie you up. You mentioned
-
Jesus one more time. We're gonna put you in prison. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
-
What you're gonna do? We have commanded you to do death.
-
And so Paul said, let me ask you to think
-
about that fact. Do you think I don't obey Man?
-
Do you think I should obey God? What do you think?
-
This is what he told them. He already knew the himsel.
-
He was absolutely dedicated the service of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
And he made his statement, and he made it his
-
priority and his views and his values and his faithfulness
-
in completing his work in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Nothing.
-
You know, when he got on that road, he began
-
to walk like Jesus. You see, Jesus didn't come. He
-
didn't let anything get in his way. He didn't compromise anything.
-
He continued the work no matter what they said. They
-
sped on him, they slapped him. This is before he
-
went to the cross. They mocked him, they abused him,
-
they called them things he wasn't. But he stayed focused.
-
He stretched forward towards the mark. What was his mark,
-
the cross? Why was his mark? The cross? You and me?
-
That was his mark? You and me the cross? And
-
he failed not he stayed focused. We have to stay focused.
-
Paul was focused. Paul was dedicated. You can't let people
-
cause you to cuss them out. You can't let people
-
cause you to not like him. I didn't say hey them,
-
I said not like them. You can't let people cause
-
you to not love them even though they hate you.
-
You can't do it. That's part of stretching forth towards
-
the mall. You gotta stay on the mark. Hey man,
-
you can't let people frustrate you. All it's gonna come,
-
but you gotta shake it off. It's the Holy ghosts. Fuck.
-
You ain't got the Holy Ghost. You got a problem
-
the Holy ghosts for shaking it off. When Paul was
-
bit by the viper when he crossed over through the storm,
-
when the boat broke up and he reached into the
-
sticking to get the viper reached up, the most poisonous
-
snake on the island bit his arm, and he shook
-
it out into the fire. They were setting around like
-
this because they knew the venom of that snake, and
-
they were waiting for Paul to drop dead. But the
-
Holy Ghost helped them to shake it off. So, when
-
you've been bitten by the snake and the vipers of
-
the words of people, shake it out off. Are the
-
things that people do to you and try to do
-
to you. Shake it off and stay on the mark.
-
Stay on the mark. I'm not telling you it's easy,
-
but shake it off. If you stay in this word
-
and this word stay in you, it's not hard to
-
shake it off. But if you are any many money
-
more Christian, you gonna have a problem. You gotta stay
-
with this word. This word will strengthen your spirit and
-
weaken your flesh. And when your flesh is not as
-
strong as your spirit, you can't shake it off. Are
-
you with me? Amen? We gotta stay dedicated. We gotta
-
run this race, and the race is ran individually. You
-
might run faster than me. I might run faster than you.
-
I might not run very good good. I made job
-
pretty good. But as long as I crossed the finished line,
-
I'm still a winner. I'm still a winner. I'm won.
-
It don't matter that fifteen hundred people beat you across
-
that line, like they what are those things? They have
-
a marathons? They ain't got but one person gonna win.
-
When I was in high school, a junior high school,
-
this is what they told me. We had a race
-
they called the Turkey Truck and it was on national TV.
-
I found out later and they said the winner would
-
get a turkey and some money, and the winner would
-
be the only one that would be on TV. And
-
you were grown folks in this turkey truck. I was
-
in junior high school. I was in yeah, junior high school.
-
Bru diggon. I put everything I had in me in
-
that race because I wanted to be on TV. Oh yes, sir,
-
this is a true story. I won that race. I
-
beat all of them, mark out. I was so excited
-
to run the race. At the start line, when they
-
popped the gun, I slipped and fell. I got up, though,
-
y'all don't hear what I'm saying. Let me say that again.
-
When they popped the gun, I took off salt. We
-
were in grass, had to run from the grass and
-
the concrete and dollar. We were in the grass when
-
we took off a big field cause we had to
-
run around these areas. And when they said fou, I
-
did like that and slipped and fail. Caught myself with
-
my hands, all them folks in front of me. But
-
I got up. Got to hear what I said. I
-
got up. I didn't just get up deep. I won.
-
I ran through those little flags. It was a little
-
red and yellow and blue flags with my head up
-
like that. Come wait and get home and see myself
-
on TV. I had to be on TV. I ain't
-
caring about no turk act. I want to be on TV.
-
But young buck, I want to see myself on TV.
-
I saw myself coming through them ribbons ball I was
-
jell like that. I want that race at Southern Middle School.
-
Never forget it. But see this is a different marathon here.
-
See everybody that runs this race, that crossing the finish
-
line is gonna be on TV. Everybody gonna be on TV.
-
Then you hear what I'm saying. Everybody is a winner.
-
Everybody gets the prize. Ay man, Amen, give God a
-
handclap of praise. Aymn, praise the Lord. Gotta run the race,
-
but run it well, aymen, we gotta run it well.
-
How do we run it well? See when people run
-
a marathon, you know what they do. When they run
-
a marathon, they pace theyselves. They pace theyself. So when
-
you run this marathon, you gotta pace yourself. You won't
-
run too fast because you might run by something, or
-
you might run into something. You want to pace yourself.
-
That way, when you pace yourself, you can see it
-
coming before it comes, hey man. And so when you
-
see it coming, for it comes, you don't have to react.
-
You can respond to it. See what I'm saying. You
-
can get a response. See, reaction is different than a response.
-
A response mean you got time to think about it,
-
time to analyze it, time to figure it out, time
-
to make the right move on it. But when you react,
-
you might react the wrong way. See that's why you
-
gotta pace yourself in this race. Pace yourself. Don't stop running,
-
pace yourself. Don't stop running, just pace yourself, pace yourself,
-
keep going forward. Sometimes you might need to slow down,
-
walk a little bit, but walk fast, Go fast, go fast.
-
It's imperative that you cross that finish line. All I'm
-
trying to do is tell you that whatever it takes
-
to get across that finish line to hear well done,
-
run the race, Run it well. Amen a man, give
-
God a hand clap of prayers. Amen,
