  1. You guys having fun this morning?

  2. It's cool, It's funny. MM was just saying earlier that

  3. it's funny how prayers get answered.

  4. He's like, man, I, I really want to see more people come to the

  5. front and, and worship God passionately.

  6. And I suppose God has to cut the electricity in order to make

  7. that happen. So it's pretty exciting.

  8. So hey, we, we've been talking a lot about just the mystery of

  9. God, like just be be able to come in on a Sunday morning

  10. life, grieve your own times with the Lord and just experience

  11. more of that mystery, the more of the glory of God and.

  12. I think we got. A just a taste of that this

  13. morning. Is that better?

  14. I don't. I don't.

  15. I'm so used to having the. The one that fits on my head is

  16. OK, so is. This better right here.

  17. This is good. OK.

  18. Awesome. My wife's telling me this is the

  19. better way to go. All right.

  20. Man, so we've been just experiencing the the glory of

  21. God. Just recently, just even in our

  22. services and I just I've just been praying more of that that

  23. we would not take advantage of, of the fact that we have an

  24. opportunity to come together to experience God here, that we

  25. don't just come in routine And sometimes God physically has to

  26. change some things up in order to make that happen and that we

  27. wouldn't come just as OK, this is where we're we're coming in

  28. routine. Already got a text this morning.

  29. Stayed the obvious, right? The lights not working,

  30. everything's not working. And you know what?

  31. No problem. And in fact.

  32. The late in fact yesterday when Alex came over, he's he's

  33. basically Eli's piano T2, but he he came over and Alex is the

  34. one. Placed here in the keys and he,

  35. you know, he just, he's like, man, I think we, you know, we're

  36. just talking about, it's funny. It's kind of comical.

  37. Like we're talking about LED lights and stuff, which I'm not

  38. for, you know, like I'm not like big flash, all that kind of

  39. stuff. That's just not my ideal.

  40. I'm fine with it. But I was like, hey, if we focus

  41. on character and making sure people get what's important

  42. around here, you can have all the lights in the world.

  43. OK, You got whatever you want. Maybe not the smoke machines.

  44. I'm not really into that. Not gonna say that's a good step

  45. too far, too far. But it's just funny yesterday,

  46. Like, wow, we're gonna go big. We're gonna, you know, they're

  47. just all. Talking.

  48. I'm just like kind of thinking I'm like, I don't know, We'll

  49. see what happens, you know? And I just, the Lord knows how

  50. to humble us pretty quickly as you come into the room, it's

  51. like, hey. We don't need any of that stuff.

  52. It really doesn't matter. So we're just going to do it old

  53. school, right? I mean, kind of old school in a

  54. way. But like Edson came up to me.

  55. He's like, do you know that George Whitfield, he spoke to

  56. 30,000 people with no microphone.

  57. And Ben Franklin was one of the, he was not even a believer.

  58. He testified to that. And so we might have to even do

  59. it halfway through. I don't know, seconds from now

  60. we'll have to do it. Just old school.

  61. Like really old school. No mic so but you can pray for.

  62. That I'm not, I don't know. I don't know if I'm George

  63. Driftfield so but go ahead and turn your.

  64. Bibles to John chapter 12. We've been in John chapter 12

John 12 chapter mention John 12 chapter mention

  65. for the last three weeks now and I was like, I've been wanting to

  66. get into 13 and here's another Sunday where I'm like, Lord,

  67. you're not allowing me to go to chapter 13.

  68. And you'll see why, man, it's so rich.

  69. The Bible is so good. And.

  70. Chapter 12 hopefully. Will be a blessing to you all.

  71. But and the title of the message is his patience incorrection

  72. leads us to transformation. OK, his his patience

  73. incorrection leads us to transformation, ultimately

  74. holiness and fruitfulness, which we'll see in a second.

  75. So let's start reading from verses 27 to verse 50.

  76. All right. And then finally, next week we

  77. will be in 13, I hope. All right, so verse 27.

  78. Now my soul has become troubled, and what shall I say, Father,

  79. save me from this hour. But for this purpose I came to

  80. this hour. Father, glorify your name.

  81. Then a voice came out of heaven. I had both glorified it and

  82. we'll glorify it again. So the crowd of the people,

  83. proud of people who stood by and heard it, were saying that it

  84. had thundered. And others were saying, it's an

  85. Angel has spoken to him. But Jesus answered and said,

  86. This voice has not come from my sake, but for your sakes.

  87. Now judgement is upon this world.

  88. Now the ruler of this world will be cast out, and I, if I am

  89. lifted up from myself, if I am lifted up from the earth, will

  90. draw all men to myself. But he was saying this to

  91. indicate that kind of death by which he was to die.

  92. The crowd then answered him, We have heard out of the law that

  93. the Christ is to remain forever. And how can you say the Son of

  94. man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

  95. So Jesus said to him, for a little while longer, the light

  96. is among you, Walk while you have the light, so that darkness

  97. will not overtake you. He who walks in darkness does

  98. not know where he goes while you have the light.

  99. Believe in the light, so that you may become sons of the

  100. light. These things Jesus spoke, and he

  101. went away and hid himself from them.

  102. But though he had performed so many signs before them, yet they

  103. were not believing in Him. This was to fulfill the word of

  104. Isaiah the prophet, which he spoke.

  105. Lord, who has believed our report, and to whom the arm of

  106. the Lord has been revealed. For this reason they could not

  107. believe. For Isaiah had said, said again,

  108. He has blinded their eyes, and He had hardened their heart, so

  109. that they would not see with their eyes and perceive with

  110. their heart, and be converted as I heal them.

  111. These things Isaiah said, because he saw the glory, saw

  112. His glory, and He spoke of Him. Nevertheless, many even of the

  113. rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees, they

  114. were not confessing him for fear that they would be put out of

  115. the synagogue. For they love the approval of

  116. men rather than the approval of God.

  117. That'll just preach right there, right?

  118. And Jesus cried out and said, he who believes in me does not

  119. believe in me, but in him who sent me.

  120. And he who sees me, the one who sent me, I have.

  121. I have come as light into the world so that everyone who

  122. believes in me will not remain in darkness.

  123. If anyone hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not

  124. judge him, for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the

  125. world. He who rejects me and does not

  126. receive my sayings as the one who judges him, the word I spoke

  127. is what will judge him at the last day.

  128. For I did not speak on my own initiative, But the Father

  129. himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to say

  130. and what and what to speak. I know that this is His

  131. commandment. It's eternal life.

  132. Therefore, the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has

  133. told me. All right, guys.

  134. Well, I have a few. Points here this morning and

  135. then we'll we'll land and we'll close but one of the things that

  136. I want to point out to you first is that Jesus was troubled I.

  137. Don't know if you saw. That in verse 27 it says my soul

  138. is troubled. Just pause for a second.

  139. Jesus one time said this. Do not be troubled, right?

  140. In fact, in a couple of a couple of chapters.

  141. Later he's going to say, do not be troubled.

  142. Yet we know Jesus is not a hypocrite.

  143. He's saying I, I am troubled and this trouble.

  144. This means mental horror. It also means disturbed.

  145. I looked up. The word it just means

  146. unsettling. It's a harassing thoughts if

  147. you're I don't know if you've ever.

  148. Felt that way. But Jesus is feeling this.

  149. He's feeling harassed because what he's about to do on the

  150. cross, what he's about to do. You know, Jesus was not numbed

  151. out. He didn't go.

  152. I just went to the dentist this week.

  153. I had to get a crown. If you've ever got one of those

  154. things, it is brutal, right? Or a root canal, hate them.

  155. You know, like, I don't know if everyone's ever got one of

  156. those. It is not fun.

  157. And I was thinking about this. I was thinking that, you know,

  158. if you're totally numb, you're not going to be able to feel

  159. anything. The idea is if you've ever

  160. gotten a crown before, sometimes you need a root canal and

  161. sometimes you don't. But if you're numb, if you don't

  162. feel any pain, you're not necessarily feeling that the

  163. root dying. And if the, if the, if the nerve

  164. dies or the root dies, then you can get infected.

  165. And if you have no pain, you could actually have worse

  166. problems, right? So Jesus, he's not numbed.

  167. He, he did not numb out. He felt all the pain and the,

  168. the word trouble means a harassing thought.

  169. He had all these harassing thoughts, knowing what's going

  170. to happen to him going to the cross.

  171. And so I love the fact that when Jesus says he's a high priest

  172. and he's be, he's able to identify with everyone in the

  173. room. He's able to identify what it

  174. means to actually walk into this life.

  175. He didn't numb out. So many of us numb out, right?

  176. Like maybe physically, yes, all right, we go to the dentist.

  177. That's a good numb out. By the way, I'm thankful for

  178. lidocaine. I don't know about you but but

  179. if we just numbed out and we didn't feel any pain, the pain

  180. is is an indicator something else is wrong.

  181. Right. And I was thinking about that

  182. like it is easy just to numb out and just kind of go throughout.

  183. Life but that wasn't Jesus's plan, right?

  184. He felt everything and just think about this God hates sin

  185. like think about all the sin in your life.

  186. Think about everything that you've ever.

  187. Done. Just you.

  188. Just you alone. Think about everything you've

  189. done, whether it's gossip, lust, envy, anything, greed, whatever

  190. it is, that's just your sin. Now imagine all the sin of the

  191. world, all the people that he keeps going across, and he's

  192. thinking about all the people who have not yet been born that

  193. will sin. All the weight, the literally

  194. the weight of the world's sin and the people he's dying for is

  195. on him. No one's ever felt that way.

  196. And the worst excruciating pain is that we'd be separated from

  197. God for a few days. He'd be separated from God.

  198. He just. He's he's being rejected, he

  199. experienced the full wrath of God, the fullness of it, not

  200. just like 99%. But the full wrath of God, 100%

  201. of the wrath of God would come towards him and I love this when

  202. he says, shall I say save me from this hour.

  203. Now, one of the reasons why I like using this translation in

  204. particular is is that when it says this in some translation,

  205. maybe yours and that's fine. I just saying that what shall I

  206. say, question mark? Father save me from this hour.

  207. I like this version because he's he's.

  208. He's, it's like hyperbole in a way.

  209. He's like saying, he's like saying, look, father, save me.

  210. What should I say? Like save me from this hour?

  211. Like what do you want me to say? I mean, This is why I came.

  212. Like I I, I'm, I don't save me from like, yes, I I I don't want

  213. to go through the excruciation. Like how many know, like

  214. normally, like for, for all people, it is, it is normal to

  215. fear death. And as far as like not dying,

  216. what will happen to you? Because we know what will happen

  217. to us. We know if we're in Christ,

  218. we're going to see Jesus and he's going to accept us into his

  219. Kingdom because of what he did on the cross.

  220. But you're not afraid to die. You're just afraid how you're

  221. going to die. You're like, no one knows how

  222. you're going to die, right? I mean, you don't know and and

  223. maybe that's what keeps you up at night, right?

  224. And that's normal. That's like a normal fear.

  225. It's like, I don't know how I'm going to die.

  226. Oh, it's like just in my sleep, just kind of pass.

  227. Away to heaven. Right.

  228. So Jesus is saying he's like, what should I say?

  229. I'm like, I'm troubled. And most of us when we're

  230. troubled, we numb out, right? We just numb out.

  231. We're like, hey, quick, just, you know, we're talking about

  232. like, you know, grab your phone, grab your phone just anytime

  233. you're in line, right? Just watch people.

  234. Just become an observer of people.

  235. Like when you watch people right at the dentist's office,

  236. especially the dentist's office, they're occupied more so because

  237. they don't want to think about what's going to happen next or,

  238. or a doctor's office, right? You're just people numb out

  239. there just trying to distract themselves.

  240. Literally, I walked in the dentist's office, everybody's on

  241. their phone and I purposely didn't want to be on my phone.

  242. I just wanted to watch. I was like, this is crazy.

  243. All right, Next, MM, is Mike in here?

  244. MMM's in here. All right.

  245. He goes and it's you numb out, right?

  246. You just don't want to think about what's coming next.

  247. That's not Jesus. He fully accepted the weight of

  248. this and he's just saying, man, I'm troubled.

  249. I don't like what's coming, I don't like the pain and knowing

  250. that I'm going to be beaten right and all that.

  251. He went through the thorn thorns on his.

  252. On his head and the, the mocking, the beating, people

  253. pulling out his beard, spitting on him, all these things.

  254. Like nobody likes that. That's not normal to like that.

  255. Jesus didn't like that, but it says here in Hebrews 12/3 he

  256. despised the shame. He despised all this shame that

  257. was coming because he the shame was was the.

  258. Experiencing the wrath of God. Experiencing.

  259. The creator of the universe. Can you imagine just going like

  260. if you go up to Tyler? Waltham.

  261. He's got the best beard in the entire house, right?

  262. And look at that thing. That is a beautiful thing.

  263. My wife here would say she's like, you can't grow a beard

  264. fully, so don't even you're not Tyler Walton.

  265. I'm like, I know. So you just go out and pull his

  266. beard, right? Just like yank his beard.

  267. He's not the creator of the universe.

  268. No problem, right? It's just a human being and he's

  269. a good guy. But but Can you imagine doing

  270. that to the creator of the the one who created you?

  271. You're pulling and plucking, trying to pluck his.

  272. Beard It's ridiculous. He he despised the shame.

  273. He endured the cross with. Joy.

  274. I don't understand how that happens.

  275. I don't think he did that with a big old smile on his face.

  276. But I think internally there was a It wasn't happy, but he was

  277. joyful. How many know the difference?

  278. Deep inside, he was joyful, knowing that one day the lights

  279. are going to go off on Oviedo High and there's going to be

  280. still people singing about his death and resurrection.

  281. I don't think you caught that. See most of us.

  282. We're we're trained. Pain, numb pain numb out.

  283. And then maybe you're like, oh, I'm not a drug deal, I'm not a

  284. drug guy. OK fine, maybe you're ATV guy or

  285. get this, maybe you just eat any stress.

  286. Eaters in the room, right? You just eat.

  287. But I'm not saying, OK, you're this horrible sin, you know, but

  288. I'm saying your pain is an indicator.

  289. It tells you something. It, it, it, it, it's an alarm.

  290. It's at the check engine light. It's like saying, hey, look,

  291. something's terribly wrong. And Jesus is saying what?

  292. Where did he go to? 1st When something was terribly

  293. wrong, he went to his father. He said, What shall I say?

  294. Should I, should you save me from this hour?

  295. No. Jesus willingly gave his life.

  296. He wanted to. Why?

  297. Because He loves you. He loves you.

  298. Think about all the like all the passages.

  299. That say right, he could have had 12 was it 12 like Matthew

  300. 2653? He could have 12 legions of

  301. Angel save him no problem. He didn't need any help.

  302. He just could have had that right away.

  303. He could have had help. But he says look and and Luke

  304. and Matthew records this this famous prayer, right?

  305. Your will be done. Not my will, but your will be

  306. done. And then he says something

  307. interesting. Glorify your name.

  308. The whole purpose of all this He says, glorify your name.

  309. And then a voice came out of heaven, right?

  310. When was the last time you heard God's voice audibly?

  311. Anybody please see me by the side here.

  312. If that has happened to you, I'd.

  313. Love to talk to you about that experience.

  314. I'm not saying it can't happen. I'm just saying God can do

  315. anything, but I just that probably doesn't happen

  316. normally, but it did hear and it's funny.

  317. They, they're at that point people started saying, oh, maybe

  318. it's an Angel or maybe that's Thunder, right?

  319. How many know God's always speaking, but it's man who is

  320. deaf. God's always speaking, always in

  321. his word. He speaks this to our hearts,

  322. confirms things. This is his glory.

  323. How many guys ever thought about even?

  324. This week that the glory of God is something that you actually

  325. pursue in your life. I want to see his glory.

  326. I think in a, in a very simple way, like I said, you know, we

  327. the lights went on all the stuff, you know, we rely so much

  328. on technology, but sometimes it's refreshing.

  329. We don't have all the bells and whistles.

  330. Because people could just come up here and they could use their

  331. voices. We got this experience a little

  332. bit of the glory of. God and I think think this is a

  333. coincidence at all. As I'm preaching this message,

  334. as I thought through it, even just in this moment, I was like,

  335. man, the timing of God as this message will land, you'll see it

  336. all come together. It's amazing how.

  337. Like we just need to pause sometimes and think through

  338. this. The savior of the world was

  339. troubled. That's why he could say to us,

  340. don't be troubled. The savior of the world could be

  341. troubled. So that all of us can experience

  342. his peace. If you have every, if you have

  343. any peace this week, knowing where you're going when you die,

  344. it is because he was troubled. You never have to go through

  345. that excruciating, painful thought of you being beaten.

  346. For your sin, because it's already been done, so you get to

  347. experience peace. But it's in our pain when we

  348. experience like, so you're like, wait, hold on a second time up.

  349. I experienced a lot of pain this week, emotional pain, pain for

  350. pain relationship, all that he said that's going to happen.

  351. But in the midst of that, if you go to Him immediately and you go

  352. to Him to find comfort, you can actually receive that piece

  353. because He was. Troubled.

  354. There's a phrase, and it's not popular in modern

  355. evangelicalism. OK, now whoa.

  356. Big word. OK, but you thought that was

  357. big. This is a bigger word.

  358. OK, PSA. It just stands for penal

  359. substitutionary atonement. Edson's like, yes, finally we're

  360. getting to the big words. He likes those big words.

  361. He's writing that in his notes for for this Week for a Life

  362. Group. OK quiz.

  363. What's PSA mean? OK, why is that important?

  364. A lot of modern preachers today. Don't like that word.

  365. They don't like the idea that the Father was glorified and

  366. allowing his Son to go through all that so that you might be

  367. saved. But I'm telling you, that's what

  368. we believe here. There needed to be a substitute.

  369. For you in order for you to find life.

  370. And that's hard to see that like if you've ever watched the

  371. Passion of the Christ, maybe you just watched it out of

  372. curiosity. When you watch all that, he,

  373. you're, you understand. Substitute.

  374. Like substitute teacher. Someone comes into the place.

  375. You're a teacher. And for the day there's a

  376. substitute when you're watching that movie, understand he is

  377. your substitute. You.

  378. Should have gone through all that and then died.

  379. Not just died and then gone to heaven after you got all the

  380. beatings and died, but going to hell for all of eternity.

  381. But instead, he went through all that.

  382. That's why he's so troubled. He's like, I don't, he's like, I

  383. don't want to go through this, this physical pain and emotion

  384. of being separated from God. But I'm doing this so that

  385. others might not be troubled for all of eternity.

  386. We might have life. OK, The second thing, verse 31

  387. and 34 says this. Now judgement comes in the

  388. world. So judgement comes on the world.

  389. And then the ruler of this world, which we know is the

  390. enemy, will be casted out. And then he says, And if I'm

  391. lifted up, I'll draw all men to myself.

  392. So there's three victories on the cross, 3 victories,

  393. judgement to the worldly system yes.

  394. Who likes that? Who wants that?

  395. Who's like the justice meter? Who's got a high justice meter

  396. like justice, You know like who has that?

  397. Well, that's good. That's a good thing.

  398. You know why that's good to have a high justice meter?

  399. Because that's God, but he's. Also the Most Merciful, and so

  400. you see in this passage. There will be justice.

  401. If the enemy has tormented you, there will be justice.

  402. That's good. I know not everybody might be

  403. awake this morning. That might be too much for

  404. everybody thinking like, wow, way to the future.

  405. But that is good for you and the everyday.

  406. Why is that good for you? Because I don't know about you,

  407. but I'm tempted every week to sin, right?

  408. You know what's so glorious about heaven is that you'll

  409. never be tempted. One guy's excited about that.

  410. Awesome. I'm excited about that.

  411. How many thought of you? How many of you thought about

  412. heaven this week? Just one time.

  413. Just one time. How about two times?

  414. 345? OK, Usually the older you are,

  415. which is that section. They want heaven more than and

  416. they're not ashamed of it. Then those who are younger, like

  417. the college, college like not I haven't thought about having in

  418. like 3 or 4 months, right? It's true.

  419. You think about it a little bit more.

  420. I thought about it this week a lot as I'm sitting there with my

  421. mouth open wide and they're just, you know, do whatever they

  422. want to my jaw and my teeth. I'm like, oh Lord, I'm going to

  423. have nice luscious long hair. You know those.

  424. Those guys, do you know those guys?

  425. You know those dudes that are OK, so think of what's that guy?

  426. OK, so we went to a wedding. And there's this.

  427. I don't even know. Colombians could have beautiful,

  428. long, thick hair like that. I was like, wow, what the heck?

  429. I don't think they're full Colombian.

  430. And he sings the flute. I'm like, is that guy?

  431. Is that guy married? He plays the is that dude

  432. married? No, he's not married girls.

  433. I mean like like he just playing.

  434. I don't know. I don't want to play the flute

  435. in heaven, but I'm like that guy.

  436. I'm like, look at. I was like, I was looking.

  437. At the bride and groom. Because that's where your focus

  438. focal point. But I kept looking over.

  439. I'm like, gosh, gosh, that guy is gorgeous.

  440. And he plays. I'm like, what the heck?

  441. You know, OK, the ruler of this world will be punished for all

  442. of eternity for taking this hair away from me.

  443. No. I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

  444. I'm kidding. I'm really kidding.

  445. I. Don't know if that was the

  446. enemy. It could have been God.

  447. I don't know. OK.

  448. But it says. How many guys OK, thought this

  449. week how many people are afraid to die No, no joke, no, no joke

  450. came wrong. How many people are afraid to

  451. die? Most people, you go to the if

  452. you, if you had some guts, you know, you go to the office, you

  453. just go around the room. How many guys are.

  454. Afraid to die? We'll just take a serve.

  455. We'll just anonymous. Right, right on a piece of.

  456. Paper guaranteed to be like 100%.

  457. People are afraid. To die.

  458. And this is what Jesus is saying.

  459. He's saying this in this hour, He's foretelling his death.

  460. He's saying, look, no worries, I'm going to defeat the last

  461. enemy I'm. Going to defeat death, that is

  462. Hebrews 214 the greatest enemy is death and he will defeat that

  463. so therefore we do not have to be worried one.

  464. Bit about dying. Revelation 12/10.

  465. The enemy accuses us day and night, and we will overcome by

  466. the what? The blood of the Lamb and the

  467. word of our testimony. How many of that, how many of

  468. you guys not maybe not afraid of death, but how many of Got have

  469. been accused by the enemy this week, right?

  470. You said something you didn't mean and then, right, you even

  471. apologized. You worked it out.

  472. You get in the car, you drive away.

  473. And the enemy's still messing with you.

  474. You're a failure. You always will be a failure.

  475. You can never get it right. Whatever it is.

  476. What Jesus is saying is my death will do three things.

  477. You will. I will crush the little voice

  478. box that's inside of your head that accuses you all day long.

  479. It's done. Not only that, but I will, I

  480. will literally bring you out of every fear, the one last

  481. remaining fear that everybody on this planet has their the fear

  482. of death. You will no longer have that.

  483. And 3rd, I will save you from your sin.

  484. I will you will find forgiveness, he says when

  485. people, when where is this? I am lifted up and I will draw

  486. all men to myself. He gets that right from John 3,

  487. but he gets that. From I just read it actually

  488. this morning which is crazy from numbers.

  489. Right, The people had got bitten by a snake, right?

  490. Because they what? Complain.

  491. God says stop complaining. If you need any verse to help

  492. you stop complaining. That would be it, right?

  493. And the snakes came and bitten the people and they're like

  494. Moses. You're you're, you're the guy

  495. that's connected to God, which is so sad.

  496. To watch that in that passage. You're the guy that's connected

  497. to God. You're the guy that's connected

  498. right, right. So so pray for us says OK, Lord,

  499. pray for these people once again.

  500. They they screwed up. Please forgive them.

  501. He's like I. Want you to do this.

  502. I want you to put a snake on a stick and everyone who looks at

  503. him, it'll be it'll be lifted up and every time you look at that

  504. snake. You'll be healed.

  505. It's kind of weird. I know a snake.

  506. Why is it, you know, the idea is that salvation is outside of

  507. them. And as you look at Jesus, as

  508. he's lifted up, if you look at him and believe in him, all men

  509. will be saved. Does that mean all men?

  510. Every. Person on the planet.

  511. People like universalist like Universalist church.

  512. They love this passage. They just believe everybody is

  513. saved. But all this is important for

  514. your Bible students. All means.

  515. Right, without distinction means all kinds of people.

  516. Good news. Italians get to go to heaven,

  517. Portuguese get to go to heaven, right?

  518. All right, all kinds of people, girls, guys, slave, free,

  519. whatever, short, tall, all kinds of people get to be saved.

  520. But it's not all without exception.

  521. All without distinction, but not all without exception.

  522. Does that make sense? Is that hopeful?

  523. So when you read the Bible and look guys, there's like 20 other

  524. verses in the Bible that says. All all all all.

  525. And you got to know what that means.

  526. OK, so final call here, verse 35.

  527. So Jesus said to them, while little while while while there's

  528. light among you, walk while you have light, so that darkness

  529. will not overtake you. He who walks in.

  530. Darkness does not know where he goes.

  531. This is so. Important he is getting the

  532. final call. Guys, listen.

  533. You don't understand. I mean, I I saw this and This is

  534. why I had to I had to preach on this because I was like, OK,

  535. let's just go to the 13. This is.

  536. The final public call we're. Only at chapter 12 and this

  537. thing goes all the way to chapter 21.

  538. This is the final public call that Jesus has to be saved.

  539. I kind of wanted to. I didn't want to be too.

  540. Intense this morning. But I kind of wanted to like

  541. title it Final boarding call sounds like a movie, but so it's

  542. crazy when I I was kind of thinking about this.

  543. So when? When?

  544. We had our first mission trip, I.

  545. Don't know if you've had any in your own.

  546. Experience this, you get to the airport, we're normally late.

  547. That's not unusual for us, so. This drives people crazy.

  548. When I get rides to the airport, someone's like.

  549. OK. What time is your flight?

  550. Oh, it's at 3:00 PM Or what time would you like me to pick you up

  551. like 2:30? I mean, I'm sorry, like. 12 or

  552. no, I don't have to be there 3 hours early, I just need to be

  553. at 45. Minutes cuz I TSA Pre-check.

  554. In and out, I like to literally go through the thing, you know,

  555. the little tram and I like to walk literally on the plane just

  556. like that. I'm flying this week cuz I'm

  557. like, oh Lord, I better be careful what I say.

  558. I'll probably miss my flight. But but the first time like we

  559. went on a first Antioch mission trip of our church, it was in

  560. 2012. OK.

  561. We are going to Mexico and I think it was five of us, Kathy,

  562. you were with us and we're running, you know, to, to the I

  563. think. We're we're in San Diego at the

  564. time, or Orlando. Or, you know, Midway Chicago,

  565. OK, we're connecting there. So I'm like running and the, you

  566. know, the 10 minute rule before the flight leaves, like it's 10

  567. minutes, they close it. The doors literally like closing

  568. like this. And I'm like, yeah, like this.

  569. No, no, no, no, no. And they literally let us in

  570. just in the nick of time, you know, like they're, you could

  571. hear your names, you know, like final boarding call, like

  572. they're they're say like the last flight call before it

  573. closes the gate. Well, it's a little.

  574. Different than what we experienced in New Orleans, so.

  575. We're in new. Orleans and two people.

  576. I don't know if I should say their name.

  577. I'm, I'm going to say their name.

  578. Cole Newhouse. And Christian Bravo, yeah, two

  579. of them. So they're in OK, we're up in

  580. the lounge. We're just chilling in the

  581. lounge up in you know, cuz they, they got me free in one of these

  582. like credit card lounge things. So we're.

  583. All up there. We're getting like disgusting

  584. food, you know, like potato soup that's been like 3 days old.

  585. We're just eating that and we're enjoying our time and

  586. everything. And Eli and I were like.

  587. It's we're on the same flight, by the way.

  588. I'm like, I think it's time to go.

  589. And so I go downstairs and down the elevator into my out of my

  590. flight just made in the nick of time sitting there and I'm like,

  591. where's Christian and. Cole, what are they doing?

  592. And I texted, I'm like, dude, they're the ladies like we're

  593. going to close the door. Like come.

  594. Oh, I have thought the flight they looked at the wrong number.

  595. I think that there was like the flight number and they thought

  596. that was the time. I don't know how that got mixed

  597. up. Something got mixed up.

  598. So they're coming down and literally the door closes and

  599. I'm like they close the door like it's it, you're done.

  600. That's it. Final boarding call.

  601. You missed it. How do you do that?

  602. They were literally like they're right above us.

  603. Like they're just dilly dallying.

  604. I don't know what don't dilly dally.

  605. Right. Don't dilly dally in the

  606. Kingdom. Yeah.

  607. OK. So I want to show.

  608. You this how incredibly patient God is.

  609. Arthur Pink says this. He's a old theologian.

  610. Why does God not suddenly killed a prideful liar like he did with

  611. Ananias and Sapphire? Why does he not 'cause the?

  612. Earth to open up and. Devour all those who dishonor

  613. like the sons of Korra simply this because he's patient,

  614. because he's patient. Luke 13, six to nine, says this.

  615. A man had a fig tree which had been planted in his vineyard.

  616. He came looking for the fruit on it and did not find any.

  617. And he's and he said, cut it down, right?

  618. Three years I have come looking for this fruit.

  619. And. I haven't found any.

  620. Then just what do I do, You know, let it alone, Sir, for

  621. this year, I'll until I dig around it and put fertilizer in

  622. it. If it bears fruit next year,

  623. fine. If not, cut it down.

  624. God is incredibly patient. I'm just going to rattle off

  625. these verses because I want you to get something here, right?

  626. Romans 24. Do you think lightly of the

  627. riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience and

  628. kindness. Do you know that this leads us

  629. to repentance? It's His kindness that causes us

  630. to pause to see His glory and then to be transformed.

  631. Second, Peter 339 says God is patient towards sinners, not

  632. wishing for any to perish, but for to come to repentance.

  633. I love that God is patient towards sinners, not wishing for

  634. anyone to perish. He's not like ha ha, you missed

  635. the flight. You know, but he's he desires

  636. and look, guys, this is awesome. I'm like sometimes.

  637. You know, sometimes. There's these obscure passes,

  638. and I'm not saying John 12 is like some obscure passage, but I

  639. don't know, when I got into this passage, I was just saying like

  640. normally people just go on in chapter 13, the washing the

  641. feed. But this, There's something here

  642. that I don't think personally, I've noticed in my prior reading

  643. that in his love and in his mercy.

  644. All these people if you if you've been.

  645. Following with us for the last 5 1/2 years that we going through

  646. John their their first. I'm just kidding.

  647. I don't I don't know how long it's been like a year and a half

  648. or something like that two years.

  649. So. When we when we started it John

    John 1 chapter mention

  650. chapter 1 and going through like seeing the glory of God, like do

  651. you know John chapter 1? Does anyone know John chapter 1

John 1 chapter mention John 1 chapter mention

  652. the the most famous passage, right, the world, the word

  653. became flesh, right dwelt among us.

  654. That's God. He came, and he dwelt among us,

  655. right? And then he finds.

  656. Finds his disciples John chapter 2.

    John 2 chapter mention

  657. What is it? Winning a can of right.

  658. He turns water into wine. Beautiful.

  659. It's amazing. Right, he turns our dull lives

  660. into something joyful and amazing in the Kingdom of God.

  661. Chapter 3, what happens? He meets Nicodemus, this

  662. religious phony, right? And, and he's asking questions

  663. and he doesn't get saved right there in the middle, in, in, in

  664. that chapter. But later on, somehow after

  665. watching the glory of God be displayed, he gets saved.

  666. And then chapter 4 the, the, the woman at the well, right?

  667. This this woman who is, who is with five other people.

  668. Right in her life. Sexually.

  669. Immoral to the NTH degree. I don't think anybody in this

  670. church. Probably has lived a life like

  671. that, and if they have. You've seen it in that passage.

  672. There's forgiveness, there is forgiveness.

  673. Chapter 5 The man who is lame for 38 years, he gets saved.

  674. Not only does he get healed, but he gets saved.

  675. So are you. He's like.

  676. What do you what do you want? I want to be healed, be healed.

  677. Chapter 6. Feeding the 5000.

  678. Chapter 7 Rivers of living water will flow through you.

  679. If you believe right, the power of the Holy Spirit will come

  680. into your life. Chapter 8 right.

  681. He's. Dealing with a woman who's

  682. caught in the act of. Adultery Chapter 9 What is it?

  683. He heals them. He heals the man born blind,

  684. Chapter 10. He is the Good Shepherd Chapter

  685. 11. He raises Lazarus from the dead,

  686. Chapter 12. Mary breaks the alabaster jar at

  687. Jesus feet and we haven't moved on from there.

  688. Do you see the glory of God? God can run circles around your

  689. life. He could do whatever he wants

  690. and he's choosing in this moment.

  691. And all their unbelief is the all these people that have, it's

  692. like the I call them like the in betweens, the in betweens, the

  693. stories, the in betweens. Like all these people, he's, he

  694. does this great miracle. And then it's like some believe

  695. and many reject great miracle, great miracle, great.

  696. And in between is these reactions.

  697. This is where you and I come in. This is where we come in.

  698. What do you choose? Do you want to believe the glory

  699. of God and follow Him? Or do you want to go your own

  700. way? Do you understand?

  701. I was thinking I was researching.

  702. This was like Genesis 5 through 8.

  703. I don't, you know, it doesn't tell you the amount of years.

  704. You have to kind of do some math.

  705. But 100 you don't. You don't know know what I was

  706. going to say was this. No one was preaching for 100

  707. years. I've only been preaching for 14

  708. years, 100 years of preaching. But now is he preaching?

  709. He's building a boat. He's telling everybody repent

  710. because the floodwaters are coming.

  711. Do you understand at one time in your life, if you have not

  712. received Jesus, His patience will run out?

  713. I'm not sure if I said anything more important than what I just

  714. said like in the last 14 years. Do you understand how gracious?

  715. If you're troubled, I don't think you would be caring about

  716. the the weight of the world. You would just be caring about

  717. the weight of yourself. And in this moment in time, he's

  718. troubled. And what does he think about you

  719. that's profound. That is really profound.

  720. I do that for you, by the way, not for me, because that is

  721. amazing. There should be a doubt in your

  722. mind. About the love of God right now.

  723. That while he was troubled, he takes one more opportunity to

  724. say while you have light. And do I think it's a

  725. coincidence that we've been having trouble with our lights

  726. this morning? Do you understand that before

  727. electricity, which is probably what maybe what I need somebody

  728. to tell me the year like what, what year did the electricity

  729. come in with that? Was it a?

  730. 100 years ago? No, it's not even 100.

  731. Years ago is. It about 100.

  732. I mean, we this this, this globe has been literally turning.

  733. For 6000 years and maybe maybe the last, I don't know, Not even

  734. 100 years, 1870. Five.

  735. There you go, buddy. 1875. Yeah.

  736. So Dick would probably understand.

  737. When that when that was right. Just kidding.

  738. Just kidding, Dick. OK, Yeah. 1835.

  739. There's a wrong there, right? No.

  740. So 1875, that's not that long ago, but do you under, do you

  741. understand? What he's saying because they

  742. they didn't. I mean, they couldn't.

  743. Flip the switch. They couldn't use a generator

  744. like we're using right now. We're using the generator, but

  745. during those times they had to walk only in the daylight.

  746. And Jesus is saying, while you have me, believe in me, because

  747. at some point I'm shutting the lights off.

  748. And some of you in this room have the lights off.

  749. I. Was just trying to show you one

  750. thing and then we'll I want to show you in Romans chapter 1 and

    Romans 1 chapter mention

  751. then we'll we'll start to make our way to a close here for the

  752. wrath of God verse 18 the wrath of God is revealed from heaven

  753. against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who

  754. suppress the truth and unrighteousness because that

  755. which is known about God is evident within them for God made

  756. it evident to them for since the creation of the world his

  757. invisible attributes, his internal powers, the divine

  758. nature has been clearly seen being understood through what

  759. has been made so that we're without excuse.

  760. Talk about the glory of God. I mean this is amazing.

  761. This is this passage fits so well for.

  762. For that, though, even though they knew God, they did not

  763. honor him and give him thanks. For they became futile and

  764. speculation, and their foolish heart was darkened.

  765. The lights were out. Profession.

  766. Profession to be wise. They thought they were wise.

  767. Think about like professors at UCF.

  768. They think they're so wise, but yet they're fools.

  769. And exchange the glory of an incorruptible God for an image

  770. of the form of a corruptible man, and the birds and four

  771. footed animals and crawling creatures.

  772. Therefore, God. Gave them over.

  773. To the lust of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies

  774. will be dishonored among them for the exchange the truth of

  775. God for a lie, and worship and serve the creature rather than

  776. the Creator, who is blessed forever.

  777. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions.

  778. For their women exchanged natural function for which is

  779. unnatural. In the same way the men

  780. abandoned the natural function of the women who burn in the

  781. desire towards one another. Men with men committing indecent

  782. acts, receiving to their own persons deep penalty of their

  783. error. And just as they did not see fit

  784. to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved

  785. mind, So that those things which are not proper, proper, being

  786. filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of

  787. envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice, their gossip, slanders,

  788. haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boasters, inventors of

  789. evil, disobedient to parents without understanding,

  790. untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful.

  791. And although they know the ordinance of God because it's

  792. written on their hearts from birth that those who practice

  793. such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but

  794. they give hearty approval of those who practice them.

  795. Get it this Let me just say it like this if you keep saying.

  796. My way, my way, my way, my way, my way, my way.

  797. God will eventually say find your way.

  798. What is he saying to us this morning?

  799. Because I don't think everyone is like, I just want to go my

  800. way. Like in the sense maybe the

  801. extreme of Romans 1. Some maybe, but some may not.

  802. Some are just thinking they're OK, right?

  803. I love what Spurgeon says. We have waited for God's sound

  804. at the dead of night and looked out for him and expected him in

  805. the heat of day and figured he might come here.

  806. And yet another son went down. But he's not here.

  807. He waits a very, very long time. Patience is, which keeps him

  808. from coming. Now he might be thinking, OK,

  809. loved ones, I'm so thankful that God is not yet here.

  810. But for your own soul, are you thankful that you still have a

  811. pulse? Because God is wanting to teach

  812. us. There's so much more that He

  813. wants to teach us as a church. There's so much more that He

  814. wants to show us. He wants to reveal the glory of

  815. God, but yet we're maybe not ready for that.

  816. There's so many passages I can share with you, but I wanna, I

  817. wanna just, I wanna close on a few things here.

  818. I can have Alex come up, but I'll read a few more.

  819. Nehemiah 930 You bore with them for so many years.

  820. This is Nehemiah's prayer. He's talking to God.

  821. He's saying you admonish them by your spirit through your

  822. prophets, yet they did not give ear.

  823. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples, into of the

  824. lands. And then Hebrews 10/26 says

  825. this. If we go on sinning willfully

  826. after receiving the knowledge of truth, there's no other

  827. sacrifice. And we just, we had lunch with

  828. the Kims the other day and we, we went to, we went to

  829. Canterbury and some of you guys know what Canterbury is, right?

  830. I like our church got started there.

  831. We did ADS there. We did world mandates there.

  832. We did our A1A conferences, we did our mission conferences.

  833. We did so much there and we helped them during hurricane

  834. outreaches. I remember.

  835. When we were. Just picking up, you know, just

  836. trash and everything. And we just, we love those

  837. people. But they sold just recently and

  838. a lot of, a lot of it, they probably sold, God had to shut

  839. the lights off in that place because they began to open up.

  840. They got so desperate for money, they began to open up to new

  841. age. And I remember, I remember going

  842. on a canoe ride in the back because they let us, they let

  843. our church basically just do canoe rides back there and hike

  844. and whatever you want to do really.

  845. They, I mean, like we said, we felt like we owned the place.

  846. And. I remember like 11 evening,

  847. we're as a family, we're just on a canoe and we're looking over

  848. and this this woman with like purple hair.

  849. She's like, like doing this like raking thing or whatever, some

  850. weird thing. And I found out it was like some

  851. new age raking. And I'm like, why would they do

  852. that? Why would they let these people

  853. on this property? This is a precious property that

  854. was. Dedicated to the Lord, I mean.

  855. They just, they had the stations of the cross.

  856. You could do that around the lake.

  857. I mean, it's just a just a moment.

  858. You can just a powerful time. You can meet with God.

  859. And I'm just, I have so many memories there of just meeting

  860. with the Lord and he had to shut the lights off.

  861. But we went there and we're just like, man, we, we just, we want

  862. to redeem this place. Lord, we, we sent a letter.

  863. We're just like, would they just donate like 10% of of the land

  864. to our church? You guys could be believing with

  865. us for that, but we brought the Kims there and we're just

  866. praying. We're just like, Lord, come on,

  867. like this. We want to see the glory of God

  868. again because it's so sad to watch.

  869. Like the signs are just smashed there.

  870. Things are just literally just looks like the place has been

  871. abandoned like some. Like some horror movie, you

  872. know, like. And I'm like, Lord, redeem this

  873. place. And I just, I, I was thinking

  874. about a little bit, but how quickly how something can shine

  875. so brightly and then the lights turn off.

  876. And I was thinking about like man, Isaiah 55, which is our

  877. family verse rise our family chapter.

  878. It says call on the Lord. Seek him while he may be found.

  879. Come, eat, buy bread which that you cannot afford, like come.

  880. And. You.

  881. You can't. You can't buy heaven.

  882. You can't buy eternal life. But just come and I love this

  883. towards the end of John is our end of this passage.

  884. You know, there are people that were coming and they were

  885. believing, but then it says, you know, just in parentheses it

  886. says, right. It's like it's not literally in

  887. parentheses, but just this little note that said for they

  888. love the approval of man rather than the approval of God.

  889. And then I was reminded of Revelation 21, five through 8.

  890. He who overcomes will inherit all these things, and I will be

  891. his God and he will be my son. And I saw.

  892. It like I underlined it because I was like, what?

  893. Like I can understand the unbelieving, abominable

  894. murderers, immoral persons, sorcerers, idolaters, liars.

  895. All of them will be in the lake of Fire.

  896. Like, OK, yeah, I understand that.

  897. But it says the cowardly. The cowardly, Like what?

  898. Look in the Greek, still the same word, the cowardly, those

  899. who give in to their lust, their pleasures, but also those who

  900. are afraid to associate with God and to be gods and to be his and

  901. to walk with him, those who are afraid.

  902. It says if you deny me before people, I'll deny you before my

  903. Father who's in heaven. I'm not saying this is an easy

  904. message to receive this morning. I'm just saying this is true.

  905. This is Jesus, this is he's speaking.

  906. My concern guys for this morning is it says in in Revelation,

  907. Revelation 314. Some of you know this passage

  908. really well, right? I mean, you've maybe heard it

  909. preached, but it says in Revelation 14 or 314 to the

  910. Angel, the Church of Laodicea, I know your deeds.

  911. He doesn't say intentions. He doesn't.

  912. Say I know your intentions. I know your works.

  913. That you're neither cold. Cold means you want nothing to

  914. do with God and everybody knows it, and you just.

  915. Nothing in your life lines up with God.

  916. That's God's not talking about that crowd neither.

  917. Hot, hot, hot means you're red hot for God.

  918. I mean like you're in, you're a Mary, you're at his feet, you

  919. love Jesus, you're in, you've given your.

  920. Life. But he's talking about this

  921. lukewarm, this mixture. So because you're lukewarm,

  922. neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

  923. It's almost just like, have you ever had anything lukewarm?

  924. If you if you, if you went to Chili's, Mitch.

  925. And you had a Luke, you had a lukewarm, you had a lukewarm

  926. burger. You know, like just kind of like

  927. just it's kind of not cold. There's not a cold Patty that

  928. they just brought out of the freezer.

  929. Nor is it the way it's supposed to be cooked.

  930. And you kind of like eat and you're like, whoa, you spit it

  931. out of your mouth. Listen, listen.

  932. That might sound really harsh that Jesus would spit the

  933. lukewarmness in the room out of his mouth, but.

  934. You could do hot. Hot tea is wonderful hot food,

  935. cold smoothie. You don't want a hot smoothie.

  936. I think what I'm most concerned about in this church, we've seen

  937. so much fruit in the last so many months.

  938. It's been amazing to watch. I've gloried in so much of it.

  939. I've, I've just thank God so much of it.

  940. I it's cost something. It's cost a lot more than

  941. anybody in the room would know. But I'm concerned about plateau.

  942. I'm concerned about growing to a point and then settling and

  943. being OK with it and not being able to hear the warnings of

  944. scripture. To be able to hear you're like

  945. and every warning you're like, that's not me, that's not me,

  946. that's not me. And to be all into the hype and

  947. the excitement of whatever is going on.

  948. And to miss what Jesus is trying to speak, to miss the.

  949. Glory of God. Lukewarm has too much hot to be

  950. cold and too much cold to be hot.

  951. You think about that. I've had some time to think

  952. about that, but you think about that later, OK, With Jesus, if

  953. you look at all of Scripture, what God is most concerned

  954. about, You look from Genesis to Revelation, and I'd rather over

  955. and over and over again, but you just trace the theme what Jesus

  956. with the Lord God, Yahweh is looking out for.

  957. Is mixture mixture? Do you have mixture?

  958. In your life, let me show you something because you say I'm

  959. rich and I have become wealthy and have need of nothing.

  960. Have you ever said that I don't need?

  961. Do you not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind

  962. and naked? And I advise you to do this by

  963. keep that word in mind. Keep that word by, just store it

  964. by from the gold refined by fire, so that you may become

  965. rich in white garments, so that you may clothe yourself, that

  966. the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed in the eye.

  967. Solve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

  968. Those whom I love underline He loves us as a church.

  969. Those whom I love, I reprove. Some of us are deaf, can't hear

  970. and discipline. Therefore be zealous and repent.

  971. Behold, I stand at the door and knock.

  972. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in

  973. and I will dine with him and he with me.

  974. Sometimes when life is so good and you think you have no need,

  975. but God is saying, don't you hear the knock?

  976. I want to meet with you and you're like, I don't have any

  977. need. I'm good.

  978. I mean, life's good. We're good, we're good.

  979. It's all of America, by the way. You ever just?

  980. Just let it just trust me. You're like, what is this guy

  981. doing up there? How many just keep hearing the

  982. knock and you don't answer the door because you're afraid of

  983. what's going to what? Maybe God would say for better,

  984. for worse, but he says I reprove those that I love.

  985. Maybe it's pride. Maybe no one can get through to

  986. you. Maybe people have been trying to

  987. say something to you. God's been trying to say

  988. something to you and you can't hear him.

  989. He's just knocking. Want to come in?

  990. I want to meet with you. I want to fellowship with you.

  991. Come everyone who thirsts Isaiah 55, come to the waters.

  992. You who have no money, come by. Eat.

  993. I want to just land on this. I know it's a lot, but I just

  994. want to land on this story. I think this will tie it all

  995. together. Chapter 25 Matthew it says this.

  996. The Kingdom of heaven will be comparable to 10 virgins who

  997. took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 5 of them

  998. were foolish, and five are prudent or wise.

  999. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with

1000. them, but the prudent took oil in the flask along with their

1001. lamps. And now while the bridegroom was

1002. delaying talk about the patience of God, they all got drowsy and

1003. began to sleep. But at midnight there was a

1004. shout. Behold, the bridegroom come out

1005. to meet with him. Then all the virgins rose and

1006. trim their lamps. And the foolish said to the

1007. prudent, Give us some of your oil, for the lamps are going

1008. out. The prudent answered, No, there

1009. will not be enough for us, and you too should go instead to the

1010. dealers and buy some for yourselves.

1011. And while they were going away to make the purchase, the

1012. bridegroom came, and those who are ready went in with him to

1013. the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

1014. Later the virgins also came and saying Lord, Lord, these are the

1015. unwise. I want to understand.

1016. These aren't the cold in Revelation 3.

1017. This is the mixture, Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord.

1018. Like that means I think I know the Lord, I'm with God, I do my

1019. quiet times every day. Lord, Lord, open up to us.

1020. But he answered this truly. I say to you, I do not know you.

  1021. I don't know. Who you are?

1022. Be on the alert then, for you do not know when this day is

1023. coming. You do not know when God's going

1024. to shut the lights off. You don't know.

  1025. I don't know literally. I don't know if these things are

1026. going to make it or not. But I want you to notice some.

1027. I want you to see one thing. The foolish and the wise go into

1028. a convenience store and they all buy lamps.

1029. The foolish go up to the counter, I'll take a lamp.

1030. Next lady, take a lamp, next one take a lamp.

1031. And then the YS come in. They say, hey, I liquidated all

1032. my cash, I have nothing left. Not only will I buy the lamp,

1033. I'll buy the oil. Do you?

1034. Want to know the ultimate problem with the foolish?

1035. They all had lamps, right? What was the problem with the

1036. foolish? They didn't give all their lives

1037. to God in his Kingdom. It's not enough to just say I

1038. believe. It's not enough to just assume

  1039. everything's OK, everything's good, I'm good, I'm fine.

1040. But to be desperate, you know, the only woman that I see in

1041. this chapter in John chapter 12 that had oil, not only a lamp,

    John 12 chapter mention

1042. but oil was who Mary isn't that awesome how it all comes

  1043. together? Isn't that beautiful?

1044. The scriptures Scripture interprets scripture.

1045. It takes a whole Bible to make a whole Christian and just seeing

1046. the the beauty of this. Mary had the extra oil so

1047. therefore she could endure to the end.

1048. She was prepared. The foolish were unprepared.

1049. They just want a bare minimum. Is there any bare minimum people

1050. in the room? Just I just want to make it in.

1051. I just want to get by. That's not going to be.

1052. Enough in the end times, because this passage Jesus is saying is

1053. all in context. Chapter 232425 is all in context

1054. of when things get really hard in the end days and he's saying

1055. don't be the foolish, don't go bare minimum because in the end

1056. he will say I don't know who you are and they're going to say

1057. well. Lord, Lord, I mean, I know

1058. everything about you. I have.

1059. Systematic theology book on my bookshelf.

  1060. I don't know you. I don't I don't know who you

1061. are. You didn't give your.

1062. Life. To me, you bought the lamp, but

1063. you didn't bring the oil and now it's too late.

1064. The lights are off. You got what you wanted.

1065. You want a mixture. You want a God in the world.

1066. You wanted both. That was what your life was

1067. about. Your life was both.

1068. I want the comforts of this world, and I also want God to

1069. come with that. And God saying that's not

1070. enough. It's all or nothing with him.

1071. Where's this all going? Isaiah 35 shows you something

1072. here. Without holiness, it says in

1073. Hebrews 12, without holiness no one will see the Lord.

1074. And it says be careful you don't fall short of the grace of God.

1075. What he's saying is you can take the grace of God in vain and not

1076. use it to live life. And he's saying this in Isaiah

    Isaiah 35:3

  1077. 35 verse 3. Encourage the exhausted.

1078. So what does God do? He wants to discipline us.

1079. He wants to come in and correct us.

1080. He wants us to hear His voice so that we might walk with Him all

1081. the days of our life. He says this encourage the

1082. exhausted and the strength in the feeble.

1083. He says that in in the context of discipline in Hebrews 12, say

1084. to those with anxious heart, Take courage, fear not, behold,

1085. your God will come with vengeance.

1086. The recompense of the God will come, but He will save you.

1087. Then the eyes of the blind will be open, the ears of the deaf

1088. will be unstopped, the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue

1089. of the mute will shout for joy. It's the grace of God coming in

1090. right. The waters will break forth in

1091. the wilderness and the streams and are above, and the scorched

1092. land will become a pool and a thirsty ground springs of water

1093. in the haunt of jackals. It's resting place.

1094. Grass will become reeds and rushes.

1095. And listen to this. A highway will be there.

1096. What is this highway that God wants to produce in your life?

1097. A roadway. And the highway will be called

1098. the Highway of Holiness. Do you feel that?

1099. I'm not kidding. Do you understand what this

1100. whole thing is about? This whole thing is about you

1101. becoming like Jesus. It is not about your comforts.

1102. God is not interested in your American comforts, but He's

1103. interested in you knowing Him. It's a highway to holiness.

1104. He brings every bit of discipline in our life and

1105. uncomfortability in our life for the purpose of becoming more

1106. like him. It's a highway to holiness.

1107. Isn't that good? The unclean will not travel on

1108. it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and the fools

  1109. will not wander on it. Guys, I, I, I don't know.

  1110. I. Understand it's been a wonky

1111. morning, but I do not want you to miss this.

1112. This is recording. You can go back and listen to

1113. it, but the word of God is so powerful and if you if you just

1114. listen to the voice of. God in this moment and don't

1115. think it's. Angels or Thunder talking but.

1116. Listen to the voice of God for your sakes.

1117. You'll see the beauty of the scripture come alive in your

1118. life and you will have true comfort.

1119. The comfort that God always wanted to give you.

1120. Do you know where true comfort comes from?

1121. When we don't numb out in pain and find His comfort.

1122. When we actually receive his grace, his the beauty of God

1123. like be able to when we're open to his correction.

1124. When we have true humility like Mary, we will see His glory.

1125. And when we see his. Glory, the fruitfulness will

1126. come into our life, the fruitfulness of what holiness

1127. and we will be then effective witnesses.

1128. It's Jesus family mission. It's what he's called us to do,

1129. be effective witnesses to this. World.

1130. But we have to be able to be quiet.

1131. And hear him in this noisy crazy.

1132. World that we live in, that we can actually hear his voice.

1133. He's saying there is more. In your individual life, yes,

1134. corporately, but in your life, I've seen it.

1135. And a lot of times he takes me, he kind of takes me for like, I

1136. go first and a lot of these things I'm like, you know, like

1137. just going through whatever. And it's like, man, it's just

1138. I've been seeing God's glory in my times with God in the last

1139. three or four weeks. And it's been hard, but it's

1140. also been good because he's like, John, I have more for you.

1141. And so then there's more for this church.

1142. And if you don't listen to my voice and they don't hear my

1143. voice and accept my way, my way like my way of correction, my

1144. way of, of molding my people. If they don't accept that, they

1145. will plateau. They will settle in the land,

1146. they will settle in the wilderness and not come to that

1147. place of promise that come to the place where we could

1148. experience God together as a people continually all the days

1149. of our life. So you think you can see and

1150. you're you think you have clothes, but God say no, you're

  1151. blind, you're naked and you're poor.

1152. Come and buy from me. Take from me.

1153. I'm good take from me and receive and a lot of times, you

1154. know, certain messages, they don't make sense until weeks

1155. later. I think these are one of those

1156. times where it's just like you, it's like we can't see it until

1157. we go through it and it's like the lights are on.

1158. And while it's still while the lights are still on, God is

1159. asking. He's begging you to come to Him

1160. to receive all that He has for you in this season, in this

1161. moment before we go on mission. He wants us to come to Him

1162. because He wants us to see His glory.

1163. And He could see that He is patient with us.

1164. He is so patient with us. How many times in your life has

1165. has the Lord just showing you His patience?

1166. Maybe hopefully this time is now and how He's called you to get

1167. out of that sin. Stop that.

  1168. Grow. Run, run.

1169. Stop giving into that. Don't give into those lies.

1170. Don't give into that sin. He's calling you to himself and

1171. he's saying my patience at times it's seen in Scripture can run

1172. out. Don't take advantage of my

1173. patients, but receive my grace in this hour and you will be

  1174. transferred. Amen.

1175. So, Father, thank you for this morning.

1176. Thank you for all the. Craziness that happened and I

1177. just, I even thank you for that because I think it's just even a

1178. glimpse of what it means when we go through trials and like we're

1179. inconvenienced by the trial. We're not.

1180. Seeing what you. Ultimately want to do and if we

1181. don't slow down and sometimes we're just seeing even and even

1182. hear people. Frantically running around the

1183. room like Oh my gosh, like it's like it was like the end of the

1184. world. And it's it all worked out like

1185. and just showing us just even as a.

1186. Really just even as a a small little picture.

1187. Of what it means when you come into our lives and want to speak

1188. something and we're not willing to listen because we're, we have

1189. our agenda. We have, we're focused on what

1190. we want in this life, the comforts in this life.

1191. We numb out and we want what we want.

1192. But ultimately, when we surrender, we can become like,

1193. marry and receive all that you have and be.

1194. Prepared and have the oil. In our lamp so that whatever

1195. comes our way we're ready to hear well done good my good and

1196. faithful servant come in to the joy of my house and we want to

1197. hear that So God, I just ask you right now for every person in

1198. the room for every person in this room.

1199. You might just be having that like all of us are at times just

1200. that stubbornness, that hard, hard just walking in the

1201. darkness and just we just ask you while there's light receive

1202. receive the light. He's saying that Jesus is saying

1203. in this. Chapter It's the last time, he's

1204. saying, and perhaps it'll be the last time.

1205. For you to hear this. Walk in the light.

1206. Walk in the light while you have the light otherwise.

1207. You will walk in darkness for all of eternity.

1208. God, I pray for those who've been believers for a long time

1209. or for a short time. Or for no time at all.

1210. I just pray that they would run to the light, that we would

1211. desire the light just as we desire.

1212. Just as we saw the lights go out and we started opening up the

1213. doors, we just saw light come through.

1214. And it's just taking advantage of that light.

1215. Running to the light while we have light, while you're with

1216. us, while we have a pulse, while we have life.

1217. But we just ask you right now, in Jesus name, all across the

1218. room, Lord, we just pray. For salvation, we pray for that

1219. you'd sanctify us. We pray that we hear your voice

1220. and to walk with you no matter what comes our way.

1221. That we be a church that's in it for the long haul.

1222. That we not be just in it for the short term.

1223. We not just be in it for our own selfish game or just to just

1224. just to make a name for ourselves, whatever that might

1225. be, whether it's through albums or books or creativity or

1226. whatever. It is, God, that our life is not

1227. about us. You came to give your life for

1228. us. That's why you were troubled.

1229. So that while you were troubled, you'd say they might have peace,

1230. they might have life. And we ask you for that now in

1231. the name of Jesus, God, we pray for life.

1232. We pray for life across the room that we would be in this for the

1233. long haul. We pray for prayer warriors to

1234. rise up and say we have not prayed enough.

1235. Forgive us, Lord, for not praying.

1236. I saw the Kims yesterday and they were praying soon as they

1237. got out of the car praying. Look Lord, make me a prayer

1238. warrior like them. We want to pray like them.

1239. We want to pray God. We ask you God for for more, for

1240. more humility in our lives to receive all that you have

1241. praying. Wake us up God, May we not be

1242. spit and vomited out of your mouth.

1243. May we not be amongst the lukewarm of this city.

1244. God, will we be hot for you Jesus?

1245. May we be like on fire for you God, in Jesus name.

1246. In Jesus name. May there be a fire in US again,

1247. a fire in US and never lose that God.

1248. We, we ask you, God, that you'd drive away all lukewarmness out

1249. of this place. Lord, that that is normal, that

1250. it seems so normal to so many, but it's not normal to you.

1251. And we just say and like we just ask you for a glimpse of the

1252. throne room of God that all across right now, just even

1253. churches, all across, how many churches have just paused and

1254. said, just God, give us a glimpse.

1255. Give us a glimpse of what's happening in heaven right now.

1256. There's no lukewarmness. The 24 elders who are around the

1257. throne are. There's not one bit of

1258. lukewarmness of the angels who've been created literally

1259. for worship. Just as we're being created for

1260. worship. We've been created to worship

1261. you wholeheartedly, not lukewarm wholeheartedly.

1262. We ask you right now, Jesus, we just pray that we would be able

1263. to hear your voice and we would not be like the crowd to just

1264. say always that Thunder and be distracted always.

1265. That may be an Angel, but is the voice of God for our sakes, for

1266. our sake, for our sake. Jesus is pleading with you.

1267. This morning come into the life so that you may never walk in

1268. darkness ever again. And we ask you, Lord, that we

1269. would come. Let us come and worship you with

1270. sound. No, sound doesn't matter.

1271. What matters is that one day the lights are going to be shut off.

1272. One day there will be a shout. Behold, he is here.

1273. Will we have oil? In our lamps.

1274. Or we'll be. Frantic in the end times,

1275. wondering is he real? What's going on?

1276. I spent too much time in my own pleasures and then it was too

1277. late. So how will he find us?

1278. Will he find us in worship? Will we find us in our own

1279. selfishness? Will He find us the day he comes

1280. back? How will he find us?

1281. How will he find us? Church, How will he find you?

1282. How will he find you? Will he find you just building

1283. your own Kingdom? How will he find you?

1284. Will he find you serving his people?

1285. Will he find you worshipping? Will he find you with him?

1286. Will we find you with just evil and doing whatever you want and

1287. then saying Lord, Lord, and you have no oil.

1288. And we ask you God, that we would liquidate our lives.

1289. We liquidate our lives at the convenience store and we just

1290. say, Lord, take it all. We don't want just the lamps, we

1291. want the oil. We might be prepared for your

  1292. coming in Jesus name.
