God Bless you. Did you know? The truth about being
-
strong was revealed over two thousand years ago. Jesus Christ
-
lived in a very harsh world. He faced hatred, rejection,
-
and physical torture. Yet he possessed a quiet and unbreakable strength.
-
He never panicked, and he never lost his purpose. Jesus
-
taught us the true strength is very different from what
-
the world says. The world tells you to fight harder
-
and rely on your own abilities. Jesus taught that true
-
resilience comes from the inside out. It comes from how
-
you connect to God and where you place your focus.
-
In this view, we will explore seven secrets Jesus gave
-
us to build unshakable strength. One of the most powerful
-
lessons Jesus ever taught about resilience was given at the
-
very end of his most famous speech. This speech is
-
commonly known as the Sermon on the Mount. After sharing
-
deep truths about love, forgiveness and peace. Jesus wanted to
-
make sure the crowd understood how to actually use what
-
they had just heard. He knew that listening to good
-
advice is not enough to make someone strong. To be
-
truly resilient, you have to build your life on the
-
right foundation. Jesus used a very simple story that everyone
-
in the crowd could easily picture in their minds. He
-
talked about two men who decided to build houses. The
-
first man was wise. He took the time and the
-
effort to dig deep down into the earth until he
-
hit solid rock. He built his entire house on that
-
firm rock foundation. The second man was foolish. He wanted
-
to build his house quickly and easily, so he just
-
built it right on top of the loose sand. For
-
a while, both houses probably looked exactly the same. On
-
a beautiful sunny day, you would not be able to
-
tell the difference between the two homes. But Jesus warned
-
that the sunny days do not last forever. The storms
-
of life are guaranteed to come. Jesus said, the rain
-
came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and
-
beat against that house, Yet it did not fall because
-
it had its foundation on the rock. Then he described
-
what happened to the house built on the sand. When
-
the exact same storm hit that house, it collapsed. The
-
secret to the surviving house was not the quality of
-
the wood. The secret was entirely in the foundation. Jesus
-
clearly explained what this foundation represents. He said that anyone
-
who hears his words and puts them into practice is
-
like the wise builder. Resilience is not built overnight. It
-
is built day by day through small choices of obedience
-
to God. When we choose to forgive someone who hurt us,
-
we are laying a brick on the solid rock. When
-
we choose to be honest, even when lying would be easier,
-
we are digging deeper into the rock. When we choose
-
to love our enemies and pray for them, we are
-
pouring strong cement into our foundation. The world often tells
-
us to build our foundation on things like our career,
-
our bank account, or our social status. But all of
-
these things are exactly like sand. A sudden change in
-
the economy can wash away your bank account, A sudden
-
illness can wash away your career. A bad rumor can
-
destroy your social status. If your entire life is built
-
on these unstable things, you will fall apart when they disappear.
-
Jesus invites us to build our identity and our security
-
on his eternal truths. His love never changes, his promises
-
never fail. When your inner peace is based on the
-
fact that you are loved and saved by God, no
-
earthly storm can destroy you. You might feel the wind
-
blowing violently against you, you might get wet from the
-
heavy rain. You might even feel scared for a moment.
-
But because your foundation is securely anchored to the rock
-
of Jesus Christ, your life will not collapse. You will
-
have an inner fortitude that cannot be explained by human logic.
-
Building on the rock requires patience and hard work. It
-
requires us to read the Bible and actually change our
-
daily habits to match what it says. The reward is
-
a life of incredible strength and unbending resilience. Have you
-
ever noticed how exhausting it is to worry? Worrying actually
-
drains our physical and emotional energy faster than almost anything
-
else in the human experience. Many of us carry heavy
-
burdens in our minds about things that have not even happened.
-
Yet we stress about what might go wrong next month
-
or next year. We imagine the worst possible scenarios. By
-
the time we have to deal with the actual problems
-
of today, we have no strength left. Jesus perfectly understood
-
human nature, and he knew that anxiety is a thief
-
of resilience. If you want to be strong, you have
-
to learn how to direct your mental focus. Jesus addressed
-
this problem in a beautiful and gentle way. He invited
-
the anxious crowd to look at the world around them.
-
He pointed to the birds flying in the sky. He
-
noted that birds do not plant seeds, they do not
-
harvest crops, and they do not store food in big barns.
-
Yet God provides for them every single day. Then he
-
pointed to the wild flowers growing in the field. They
-
do not work or make clothes for themselves, but they
-
are dressed more beautifully than any rich king. Jesus use
-
these simple examples of nature to prove a point about
-
God and his provision. If God takes such wonderful care
-
of birds and flowers, how much more will he take
-
care of you, you are His beloved child. Because of
-
this amazing truth, Jesus gave us a direct command about
-
how to handle our thoughts. He said, therefore, do not
-
worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each
-
day has enough trouble of its own. This single sentence
-
contains a profound secret to maintaining your strength. Jesus is
-
teaching us the power of living strictly in the present moment.
-
God provides grace and strength to help us handle the
-
problems of to day. He does not provide today the
-
strength you need for tomorrow. When you try to reach
-
into the future and drag tomorrow and all of its
-
potential problems into today, you will break under the extreme weight.
-
Your mind and your spirit were simply not designed to
-
carry the burden of the future. You find resilience by
-
focusing on one thing at a time. When things go wrong,
-
do not ask yourself how you are going to survive
-
for the next five years. Ask yourself how you are
-
going to walk with God for the next five minutes.
-
Just take one step at a time, do what is
-
right to day. Pray today, trust God. Today. Tomorrow belongs
-
entirely to God, and He is already there preparing the
-
way for you. This does not mean we should never
-
plan for the future. Planning is wise and necessary, but
-
there is a very big difference between planning and worrying.
-
Planning is making a thoughtful decision about the future and
-
leaving the results to God. Worrying is trying to control
-
the future and living in fear that God will fail you.
-
To be a strong and resilient person, you must actively
-
train your mind to stop spinning into the future. Every
-
time you feel the panic rising in your chest because
-
of something that might happen next week, gently bring your
-
thoughts back to right now. Remind yourself that God is
-
sitting on the throne today. He has given you exactly
-
what you need to survive this specific day. By refusing
-
to let your mind wander into the scary shadows of tomorrow,
-
you preserve your energy, You protect your peace, You remain
-
steady and calm. This quiet confidence in God for today
-
is a supreme mark of a deeply resilient spirit. The
-
modern world constantly tells us that the key to strength
-
is absolute independence. We are taught from a young age
-
to pull ourselves up, to never ask for help, and
-
to carry our own weight. We believe that if we
-
just push a little harder and work a little longer,
-
we can conquer any problem, but eventually everyone reaches a
-
breaking point. There comes a moment when the heavy weight
-
of life becomes completely crushing. You realize that your own
-
human strength is limited and it is quickly running out.
-
It is in these moments of total exhaustion that Jesus
-
offers us a secret that sounds completely backward to human logic.
-
He teaches us that true strength and resilience are not
-
found in fighting harder. They are actually found in surrender.
-
Jesus looked at the crowds of people following him, and
-
he saw how tired they were. They were weighed down
-
by religious rules, physical sickness, and daily survival. His heart
-
was moved with deep compassion for them. He said, come
-
to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and
-
I will give you rest. Jesus did not offer a
-
new philosophy or a complicated set of instructions. He offered
-
himself as the solution to their exhaustion. But he did
-
not stop there. He went on to say something very interesting.
-
He invited them to take his yoke upon them. In
-
the agricultural world of that time, a yoke was a
-
heavy wooden beam that was placed across the shoulders of
-
two animals, usually oxen. The wooden yoke connected the two
-
animals together so they could pull a plow through the
-
hard dirt. Usually a younger, weaker ox would be paired
-
with an older, stronger ox The stronger animal carried most
-
of the heavy weight and guided the direction of the plow.
-
The weaker animal simply walked alongside and learned the rhythm.
-
When Jesus invites you to take his yoke, he is
-
inviting you to step inside that wooden beam with him.
-
He is the strong, experienced partner. He is offering to
-
carry the crushing weight of your life. He says that
-
his yoke is easy and his burden is light. This
-
is the profound secret of Christian resilience. We are strong
-
because we have surrendered our heavy burdens to the strongest
-
person in the universe. We do not have to pull
-
the plow all by ourselves any more. We simply need
-
to walk closely beside Jesus and let him carry the load.
-
To be resilient, you must learn how to let go.
-
You must stop trying to fix everything in your own power.
-
When a difficult health diagnosis comes, or a child goes
-
down the wrong path. Your first reaction might be to
-
panic and try to control the situation. Surrender means taking
-
your hands off the steering wheel. It means going to
-
God in prayer and saying that you cannot do this alone.
-
You admit your weakness in the Kingdom of God. Admitting
-
your weakness is actually the very first step to gaining
-
ultimate strength. When you stop fighting against God and start
-
resting in his presence, you will experience a deep, cooling peace.
-
Your mind will stop racing, your heart will calm down.
-
This deep rest of the soul gives you the ability
-
to wake up the next morning and face a difficult
-
world with fresh energy. True resilience is knowing that the
-
battle belongs to God and your job is simply to
-
trust and follow him. By giving up control, you actually
-
gain the unshakable power of Heaven. Quick update. I've removed
-

so I'll be uploading those old videos to Patreon completely free,
-
so you can still listen to them any time. Thank
-
you for being here and for supporting the channel. The
-
Patreon link is below. Imagine walking through a beautiful vineyard
-
filled with healthy green vines and clusters of rich purple grapes.
-
If you reach out and cut a single branch completely
-
off the main vine, what will happen to it? For
-
a few hours, it might still look healthy and green,
-
but very quickly it will begin to dry up. The
-
leaves will turn brown and crumble. It will never produce
-
another grape. The branch has absolutely no power or life
-
of its own. Its entire life, its strength, and its
-
ability to grow come completely from the sap flowing out
-
of the main vine. If it is separated, it dies.
-
This is exactly the image Jesus used to explain another
-
major secret to spiritual strength and resilience. On the very
-
night before he was crucified, Jesus wanted to give his
-
followers a final crucial lesson on how to survive the
-
incredibly difficult days ahead. He knew they would face persecution, fear,
-
and massive challenges. He told them, I am the vine.
-
You are the branches. If you remain in me and
-
I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me,
-
you can do nothing. Jesus was making a very clear
-
and absolute statement without a daily continuous connection to Him,
-
we are completely powerless to face the deep trials of life.
-
Many people try to live their lives separated from God.
-
They might go to church on rare occasions or pray
-
only when a terrible emerge urgency happens. The rest of
-
the time, they try to generate their own strength. This
-
is just like a severed branch trying to produce its
-
own water. It is a slow, miserable path to spiritual
-
and emotional death. When life gets tough, these people dry
-
up and break because they are empty inside. The secret
-
to resilience is making sure you are deeply, securely attached
-
to the vine every single day. Jesus use the word remain.
-
Some translations use the word abide. It means to stay,
-
to live closely, and to never leave. How do we
-
actually remain in Jesus in our daily lives. It is
-
simpler than you might think. We remain connected through a constant,
-
humble conversation with Him throughout the day. You do not
-
have to be sitting in a quiet room with your
-
eyes closed to pray. You can talk to God while
-
you are washing the dishes, driving to work, or sitting
-
in a stressful meeting you can silently ask him for wisdom.
-
You can quietly thank him for his grace. We also
-
remain connected by reading his words and letting them fill
-
our minds. When you read the Bible, you are letting
-
the pure sap of the vine flow directly into your spirit.
-
It provides nutrients to your soul. When you are deeply
-
attached to Jesus, you absorb his characteristics. His patience becomes
-
your patience. His courage becomes your courage. His unbreakable joy
-
becomes your joy. When a storm hits a well connected branch,
-
the branch might get tossed around by the wind, but
-
it will not snap and it will not die. The
-
constant flow of life from the main trunk keeps it flexible, green,
-
and strong. Resilience is not something you magically summon from
-
an empty heart. It is the natural result of living
-
very close to Jesus. The closer you stay to him,
-
the stronger you become. Do not wait for a crisis
-
to try and build this connection. Start to day, spend
-
time in his presence. Cultivate a deep, rich relationship with
-
the Creator. When the difficult times arrive, you will not
-
have to panic or search wildly for strength, you will
-
already be plugged directly into the ultimate source of life
-
and power. One of the greatest enemies of inner strength
-
is a feeling of worthlessness. When you do not believe
-
you have any value, you become extremely fragile. If your
-
sense of self worth is tied to how much money
-
you make, how attractive you look, or how many people
-
praise you, you are in a very dangerous position. The
-
world is incredibly cruel and unpredictable. People will insult you,
-
bosses will overlook you, friends may abandon you. If your
-
identity is built on human approval, a single harsh comment
-
can compleatly destroy your resilience and make you want to
-
give up on life. Jesus understood that humans have a deep,
-
desperate need to be loved and valued. He knew that
-
an insecure person cannot stand strong in a hostile world. Therefore,
-
one of his greatest secrets to resilience was showing people
-
how much they truly mattered to the creator of the universe.
-
Jesus frequently went to the outcasts of society. He went
-
to the poor, the sick, and the rejected, people who
-
were told by the religious leaders that they were garbage
-
he looked at them with profound love and dignity. He
-
taught them a transforming truth about how God views them.
-
Jesus used a very simple but moving illustration involving small birds.
-
In the market places of that time, sparrows were the
-
cheapest meat you could buy. They were considered basically worthless
-
by society. You could buy a couple of them for
-
a single copper coin. Yet Jesus has said, are not
-
two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of
-
them will fall to the ground outside your father's care.
-
He went on to say that even the very hairs
-
on your head are all numbered by God. He concluded
-
by telling the people not to be afraid, because they
-
are worth much more than many sparrows. This teaching is
-
a massive source of personal power. Think about what it
-
really means. The eternal God, who spoke the stars and
-
the oceans into existence, pays attention to the smallest details
-
of your life. He knows when you're hurting. He numbers
-
the hairs on your head, which means his knowledge of
-
you is intimately perfect. He values you so much that
-
he was willing to send his only son to rescue you.
-
When this beautiful truth sinks deep down into your heart.
-
It builds an incredible shield of resilience around your mind.
-
If you truly know that the King of Heaven love
-
you deeply, the opinions of mere humans begin to lose
-
their power over you. When someone insults you or rejects you,
-
it still hurts, but it does not destroy you. You
-
can walk into a room holding your head high, not
-
because of pride, but because of grace. You belong to God.
-
When life knocks you down and makes you feel like
-
a failure, you can find the strength to get back
-
up because God does not view you as a failure.
-
He views you as his precious child. Resilience thrives in
-
a heart that is completely secure in God's love. To
-
apply this secret, you must fight back against the lies
-
of the enemy. The devil constantly whispers in our minds
-
that we are ugly, unwonted, useless, and forgotten. Every time
-
you hear those dark thoughts, you must replace them with
-
the words of Jesus. Remind yourself aloud that you are
-
fully known and deeply loved. Your worth is not determined
-
by your bank account, your job title, or your past mistakes.
-
Your worth was decided on the Cross. Remembering your true
-
value in God's eyes will give you the emotional armor
-
you need to survive any attack and the courage to
-
keep moving forward no matter what. Many people lose their
-
strength because they have a false expectation of what life
-
is supposed to be like. There is a very popular
-
but dangerous idea that if you are a good person
-
and if you follow God, your life will be completely
-
smooth and free from pain. People who believe this false
-
idea are constantly shocked and angry when bad things happen.
-
When they experience a sudden tragedy or a severe disappointment,
-
their faith shatters. They ask why God is punishing them,
-
or they assume that God has completely abandoned them. Because
-
they never expected the storm, they have absolutely no resilience
-
when the storm finally hits them. Jesus never sold us
-
a false idea of a perfect, trouble free life. In fact,
-
he was brutally honest about the reality of living in
-
a broken and sinful world. He prepared his followers for
-
the harsh realities they would face. He wanted them to
-
have an honest, realistic expectation so they would not be
-
caught off guard during his final meal with his closest friends,
-
Jesus gave them an incredibly comforting, yet sobering promise. I
-
have told you these things so that in me you
-
may have peace. In this world. You will have trouble,
-
but take heart, I have overcome the world. Notice the
-
absolute certainty in his words. He did not say that
-
we might have trouble, or that we will have trouble
-
only if we make a mistake. He said, we will
-
have trouble. Sickness, betrayal, financial ruin, and death are natural
-
parts of this fallen world. Jesus guarantees that we will
-
face them. But knowing this truth actually makes us resilient.
-
When you expect difficulties, you are not devastated by surprise
-
when they arrive. You do not view a crisis as
-
a sign that God hates you. You simply recognize it
-
as a normal part of the human journey that Jesus
-
already warned you about. This realistic mindset stops you from
-
falling into the dark hole of self pity. But Jesus
-
did not just leave us with the depressing news that
-
trouble is coming. He immediately followed it with a declaration
-
of victory. He told us to take heart, which simply
-
means to be courageous and brave. Why should we be
-
brave in a world full of pain? Because Jesus has
-
already overcome the world. He defeated sin, he defeated darkness,
-
and he ultimately defeated death itself when he rose from
-
the grave. The absolute worst thing the world can do
-
to you is take your earthly life. But even then
-
the world does not win, because you are guaranteed eternal
-
life with God. When you embrace this profound secret, you
-
become a deeply resilient warrior. You can walk right into
-
the middle of a frightening situation with a calm confidence.
-
You know that the pain is temporary, but the victory
-
is completely permanent. You can endure a season of suffering
-
because you know the suffering does not have the final word.
-
Jesus has the final word. So when the heavy troubles arrive,
-
do not panic and do not lose your faith. Remember
-
the honest words of your savior. Let his honesty give
-
you peace, and let his victory give you the courage
-
to stand firm. You are not fighting for victory, You
-
are fighting from a place of victory. The battle has
-
already been decided, and the world cannot steal the ultimate
-
joy that God has secured for you. When we look
-
closely at why people break down during hard times, we
-
often see that their eyes are fixed completely on the
-
things of this world. We invest all of our time,
-
all of our energy, and all of our emotions into
-
building a comfortable life right here on earth. We want
-
the perfect house, the secure retirement fund, the nice car,
-
and the perfect reputation. But there is a massive flaw
-
in this strategy. Everything on this earth is temporary. It
-
is all slowly decaying. Cars breakdown, houses need constant repairs,
-
money loses its value, our physical bodies grow older and weaker.
-
If your entire life's focus is wrapped up in these
-
temporary things, you will inevitably face deep despair. Every time
-
you lose a piece of your earthly kingdom, a piece
-
of your heart breaks. To be truly resilient, you need
-
to look past the short horizon of this temporary world
-
and look toward eternity. Jesus gave us a powerful secret
-
regarding our wealth, our focus, and our hearts. He taught
-
us how to protect our inner joy from the decay
-
of the world. In his great teaching, on the mountain,
-
Jesus said, do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
-
where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in
-
and steal, But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
-
where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves
-
do not break in and steal. He added a crucial
-
final thought by saying that wherever your treasure is there,
-
your heart will also be. Jesus is warning us about
-
the danger of attaching our hearts to temporary things. If
-
your heart is completely tied to your business and your
-
business fails, your heart is completely broken. If your heart
-
is tied to your physical beauty and you start to age,
-
you will lose your confidence and your peace. But if
-
your heart is tied to the eternal kingdom of God,
-
you become an incredibly resilient person. How do we store
-
up treasures in heaven. We do this by choosing to
-
focus on things that last forever. This means loving those
-
around us, serving God, and sharing the grace of Jesus.
-
As we do these things, we grow our character and
-
build a faith that can never be broken. When you
-
spend your life doing these things, you are sending your
-
wealth ahead into eternity. Thinking about eternity completely changes how
-
you deal with loss. It makes your biggest problems feel
-
much smaller. For example, if you lose all your money,
-
you are not destroyed because you know your real treasure
-
is safe in heaven. If you get sick, you can
-
remain brave because you know this body is only temporary.
-
When you remember that this life is just a brief moment,
-
you gain tremendous strength. You stop worrying about things that
-
fade and start focusing on what lasts forever. This protects
-
your mind from giving up and fills you with a bright,
-
living hope. True strength comes to those who look beyond
-
this world and focus on God's eternal home. Resilience is
-
born in a heart that refuses to be limited by
-
this dying world. Today you have learned that true strength
-
is not about being cold or doing everything on your own.
-
It is a deep spiritual power that comes from Jesus.
-
You now have the blueprint to stand firm no matter
-
what happens in your life. Think about the secrets we
-
have covered. You build your life on a solid rock
-
by doing what Jesus taught you. Stop worrying about next
-
month and trust God. For today, you let go of
-
the steering wheel and let Jesus carry the heavy weight
-
for you. You stay connected to him every day like
-
a branch on a vine, and you find your worth
-
in his love instead of what people think. You face
-
trouble with courage because you know Jesus already won, and
-
you keep your eyes on heaven, where your real treasures
-
are safe. These seven secrets are practical tools for your soul.
-
They are the same truths that helped people face the
-
hardest trials in history with joy. You have access to
-
that same power right now. God does not want you
-
to live in fear or exhaustion. He wants you to
-
be like that strong tree that bends in the wind
-
but never snaps. It does not matter how weak or
-
broken you feel today, Jesus is inviting you to come
-
to him exactly as you are. Bring him your tired
-
heart and your failures. As you start to live out
-
these truths, your spirit will change. The problems that used
-
to break you will become chances to trust God more.
-
You will find a deep, quiet peace that surprises every
-
one around you. Your life will become a bright light
-
in a very tired world. If this message about finding
-
strength in Jesus touched your heart to day. We invite
