The Ends is Coming 1 Thessalonians 4:18, Be encouraged

This is Pastor Daniel Stevenson. I'm director

of the Southside Life Station and pastor of New

Heights Fellowship Baptist Church of East Toledo,

and you're receiving this message because you

opted in to be encouraged. I'm thinking today

of 1 Thessalonians 4 .18. It says, Therefore,

comfort one another with these words. Be comforted

and comfort others. That's kind of the calling

of Christians. Strange when we face all the temptations

and the confusion and the difficulties of these

days. But know that these days filled with challenges,

temptations, confusions, trials, all of these

kinds of things will come to an abrupt end and

there will be no more unanswered questions. There

will be no more complications. There will be

simply glory prepared beforehand by the almighty

God for all those from every tribe and tongue

and nation who revere him and follow him through

his son Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4 .17 that comes

just before this is talking about how in the

end, in a twinkling of an eye, we'll all be transformed

and meet up with him in the air. The bottom line

is, as Paul was writing this message to the Thessalonians,

they were facing difficulties. They'd been through

the ringer, so to speak. And so have we. In recent

years, we've faced difficulties and trials, and

I would say temptations, and we've been through

the ringer. But we can look forward to that day.

in which God will take care of it all. He's going

to bring it all to completion. Jesus is going

to come again, and all those who didn't respect

that he was coming again are going to pay a very

dear price. But for the rest of us who are looking

to Jesus, be encouraged. The end is coming of

all these difficulties, and blessings for eternity
