  1. Thanks for choosing this podcast by New Heights Fellowship Baptist Church of East

  2. Lido featuring Pastor Jerry East from Ellisville, Mississippi.

  3. Go reach New Heights in Jesus. Here we go!

  4. Good morning, good morning, good morning!

  5. We are exactly where you need to be right now to reach New Heights in Jesus.

  6. We have the distinction of driving a little over two hours to be here this morning

  7. and I've never been so pleased to drive two hours to go to church. I'm excited!

  8. God is at work! This begins as a revival, beginning kind of kick off Sunday.

  9. So Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, the next three days, we'll meet here at 630

  10. and we have like a dress theme kind of fun thing for each night that we're doing

  11. Pastor Jerry East is with us and his wife Jane coming all the way from Ellisville, Mississippi.

  12. Truth is they came from Columbus this morning. They came up from Ellisville on Thursday, Friday.

  13. So Thursday, are you there early by the way? We got this Thursday.

  14. So yeah, that's a trip. If you all want to look up on a math leader, that's a trip.

  15. But it's a good trip because you've got to stop some places along the way.

  16. So we also have our Grand Prix Matchbox kick off race, whatever you call it today,

  17. which will be in the multipurpose room after service.

  18. So we're going to race matchbox cars in like a little tournament format

  19. and then that will begin our opportunity to prepare cars going into the end of the month,

  20. beginning of December, we're going to have a race where you build your own car.

  21. And so you get the details about that afterwards.

  22. We'll all be hanging out here afterwards and racing matchbox cars in the multipurpose room.

  23. Themes in case you're not a big reader, you don't want to read or you don't want to look it up online.

  24. Themes for the revival for the next three days.

  25. Monday night is going to be your favorite football team or your favorite colors.

  26. You dress accordingly or you don't have to if you don't want to, but that's your opportunity to do that.

  27. I'm going to wear my favorite color. If you don't know what my favorite color is, you'll find out tomorrow.

  28. I already picked out most of my clothes. So all right. And then Tuesday is a Christian t-shirt, Christian themed.

  29. So wear something Christian if you have it, if you want to.

  30. If somebody doesn't have one, you want to borrow one from me, hook up with me.

  31. I've got a few that hang out in there and get used now and then.

  32. And so that's Tuesday evening. And also Tuesday evening will be a special night

  33. because that's the night where the men and the ladies and the children are all split up and going our separate ways.

  34. So we'll go Monday and Wednesday. We'll do it just like normal.

  35. We're together for a little while and then the kids will go out to their classes.

  36. But Tuesday night when the kids go out to their class, the ladies will go out

  37. and Jane is going to be with them in the cafeteria and the men will stay in here.

  38. So we'll be all over the building that night, Tuesday night.

  39. And what was the theme on Tuesday night? What do you wear on Tuesday night? Nicole, do you remember?

  40. Sean? Anybody?

  41. Christian.

  42. Christian. Yes, very good.

  43. And then Wednesday is red carpet night. So you dress up.

  44. You don't have to. Again, these are all optional, but you want to dress up, wear fancy clothes on Wednesday night.

  45. You can do that.

  46. And there'll be light refreshments, which means healthy snacks, basically, mostly healthy.

  47. Some things are not so healthy, but mostly healthy snacks before service each night in the cafeteria from about 6 to 6.30.

  48. So that's what's going to go on the next few days.

  49. Now, a revival, and be clear about this, we're going to pray in a second, but a revival is when God wakes you up.

  50. God makes you new. God reverts you.

  51. He does something fantastic in you.

  52. And we can't schedule that.

  53. You can't set a date. You can't do it for four days or even one day or even one minute.

  54. God does that.

  55. This is us coming together to reach new heights in Jesus, to praise the Lord and sing praise songs,

  56. to pray together, and we will pray together, as they hear from the Word together.

  57. And I get the opportunity of sitting on the Brother Jerry East teachings, which I don't normally get to do that.

  58. Around here, usually I get RJ or maybe all during Inspiration of a Moment or Brother Tony,

  59. but I get the opportunity to be filled as well with that teaching.

  60. So we're going to do that all together the next three days.

  61. And hopefully, the goal would be that God will revive us, not just us, but anybody who wants to come.

  62. So you invite friends and family if they've never been. It's the perfect opportunity,

  63. because it'll be a unique, fun experience.

  64. All right, so we're going to pray together. Remember, as I pray, we all pray. Hold on.

  65. After service today, before we start the Grand Prix, we have stack lunches provided for children first,

  66. and then whatever's left, adults can eat.

  67. Also, we're doing the drawing for those of you that donated candy.

  68. Okay, so those will be after service today as well.

  69. So as I pray then, you pray with me. If I don't pray good, you make sure you pray good in your head.

  70. Okay, we're all praying together. Let's do it.

  71. Father in heaven, you are Almighty Creator God.

  72. You are the ultimate healer, the ultimate leader, and when necessary, the ultimate corrector.

  73. You redirect our forces. You gave us salvation through your Son Jesus.

  74. And the truth is that even as we come together today, some of us have spent years,

  75. some of us spent time even today not honoring that sacrifice.

  76. We have sinned against you, have done something we shouldn't have done.

  77. And Lord, we confess that to you now.

  78. We ask you for forgiveness through your Son Jesus Christ,

  79. that there is someone in this room who has not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior.

  80. And before they leave this place today, let them make that right with you.

  81. Lord, you work in that. We know no one comes to you except to be called.

  82. And so we ask you, Lord, to call each one of us closer to yourself today.

  83. Lord, we thank you that you're willing to work in us.

  84. We thank you that you give us this place, this worship, this Spirit to reach new heights in Jesus.

  85. Your Holy Spirit to work in us to help us better understand, to learn, to grow

  86. so that at any age or any skin color, any background, any amount of wealth or lack thereof,

  87. any amount of health or lack thereof, that at any moment if a person truly looks to you,

  88. they can have you working in their lives.

  89. So I'm going to ask you, Lord, to do just that work in our lives today.

  90. There's a lot going on. There's some cool stuff.

  91. We didn't even mention all the stuff that's on the schedule with the parade

  92. and the workshops for the Grand Prix and the All-Family Fellowship next week after service.

  93. And I know there's more in this bulletin, more opportunities to work in the Kingdom,

  94. to serve and to spend time together to fellowship than we could list in brief announcements.

  95. We are grateful, Lord, that you're making us the church body at work for you

  96. and that you're working in us to help us reach new heights in Jesus.

  97. We pray that you will take this service as we sing, as we pray, as we listen to your word preached.

  98. Lord, as we do that inspirational moment and people share testimonies of what's been going on in our lives,

  99. as we do all of it, Lord, we pray that you will use all of it for our good.

  100. And we know you can because you're our God.

  101. We pray all of this in Jesus' precious name.

  102. And all God's people said, Amen. Thank you very much.

  103. All right, would you stand with us as we go on to these next few?

  104. If the children want to come forward or take to the aisles, there's a lot of children in this room.

  105. Get on your feet. Let's go.

  106. We're going to wake up this morning.

  107. I'm waiting for the rest of the children to stand up.

  108. Come on. Come to the front or make yourself some elbow room because we're going to dance this morning.

  109. I'm still waiting. There's children on their buttons still.

  110. Come on. You got an extra hour sleep this morning. Let's go.

  111. Yeah, I'm extra.

  112. I'm.

  113. I'm.

  114. I'm.

  115. I'm.

  116. I'm.

  117. I'm.

  118. I'm.

  119. I'm.

  120. I'm.

  121. I'm.

  122. I'm.

  123. I'm.

  124. I'm.

  125. I'm.

  126. I'm.

  127. I'm.

  128. I'm.

  129. I'm.

  130. I'm.

  131. I'm.

  132. I'm.

  133. I'm.

  134. I'm.

  135. I'm.

  136. I'm.

  137. I'm.

  138. I'm.

  139. I'm.

  140. I'm.

  141. I'm.

  142. I'm.

  143. I'm.

  144. I'm.

  145. I'm.

  146. I'm.

  147. I'm.

  148. I'm.

  149. I'm.

  150. I'm.

  151. I'm.

  152. I'm.

  153. It starts off with, it says, I think we're heading down the wrong road, fake real, and

  154. they say real's fake, whoa.

  155. False prophets on these screens everywhere we go, but what do you expect when dumb people

  156. have smartphones?

  157. I thought that was kind of funny.

  158. More memes, cool, make it all a big joke, crown your fake kings and let them sit on

  159. their fake thrones.

  160. You're young now, but you'll just, but wait until you grow old, when life gets real you'll

  161. remember the words I wrote.

  162. And then a little bit farther down.

  163. Is that what you're supposed to read?

  164. I'm not going to find it again.

  165. A little bit down, it's more towards the end of the song.

  166. It goes on to say how the mind state you're in and it compares it to Gotham City because

  167. there's always bad stuff happening in Gotham.

  168. At the bottom, it's towards the end of the song, it says Gotham isn't a place, it's a

  169. mind state, watered by the thoughts that you manifest that what you grow.

  170. So a lot of what I deal with is mental problems, thoughts in my head, anger issues, it's all

  171. mental issues.

  172. When I was listening to this song, at the very end it says it's just a mind state, the

  173. only way we can get out of that kind of mind state is by letting Jesus in.

  174. Otherwise you're going to get stuck in there and you're never going to get out, you're

  175. always going to think you're not good enough, you're always going to think that bad things

  176. just happen to you because that's just how life is.

  177. In reality, that's not how life is.

  178. The only time bad things happen to you is if you perceive it as bad.

  179. One of the things that I've been trying to teach my kids lately over the last couple

  180. of days is you can't look at failure as failure because the only way a failure is considered

  181. a failure is if that's what you make it to be.

  182. If you're going to say you fail, then that's how it is.

  183. But instead consider that failure a victory still because for one, in Christ you never

  184. fail.

  185. Because in those, what would be perceived by the world as failures, we can look back

  186. on that and go, okay, what did I learn from this?

  187. How can I grow from this?

  188. So in reality it's not a failure, it's still a victory as long as you perceive it in the

  189. right way.

  190. And it doesn't matter how big or how small it is, as long as you go into it realizing

  191. okay, God's teaching me something, this is the mind state you have to be in because God

  192. will show you amazing things in what the world sees as your failures.

  193. Amen.

  194. That's a good word.

  195. That's a good word.

  196. Good.

  197. All right, who else?

  198. I have a video to share.

  199. Okay, got a video.

  200. Coming up.

  201. In the video, the story in the video, I want you to listen to the lyrics.

  202. And it's a girl ran away from home, ran away from her father, who's a single dad.

  203. But I want you to think of it as us, as you, running from God.

  204. Instead of being so literal.

  205. Going, I just want you to imagine us being better in this seed as we run away.

  206. Have you been praying and you still have no answers?

  207. Have you been pouring out your heart for so many years?

  208. Have you been hoping that things would have changed by now?

  209. Have you cried all the faith you had through so many tears?

  210. Don't forget the things that he has done before

  211. And remember he can do it all once more

  212. It's like the tides, sunrise, waiting on the other side

  213. On the darkest night, don't ever lose hope, hold on, ever live

  214. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  215. You're constantly thinking what I've done

  216. All the promises from the point you're done

  217. All these promises, I just love them yet

  218. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  219. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  220. Maybe you'll just never see it

  221. Your consumption before you have the problem

  222. This is the best thing you will, you'll feel like you're the worst

  223. So in the questioning, don't ever doubt it's love for you

  224. Because it's only in this love that you'll find the breakthrough

  225. It's like the tides, sunrise, waiting on the other side

  226. On the darkest night, don't ever lose hope, hold on, ever live

  227. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  228. You're constantly thinking what I've done

  229. All the promises from the point you're done

  230. All these promises, I just love them yet

  231. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  232. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  233. Maybe you'll just never see it

  234. He is moving with the love so deep

  235. Hallelujah for the victory

  236. Good things are coming even when we can't see

  237. We can't see yet

  238. But we believe that he is moving with the love so deep

  239. Hallelujah for the victory

  240. Good things are coming even when we can't see

  241. We can't see yet

  242. But we believe that he is like the brightest of the sunrise

  243. Waiting on the other side

  244. On the darkest night

  245. Don't ever lose hope, hold on, ever live

  246. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  247. You're constantly thinking what I've done

  248. All the promises from the point you're done

  249. All these promises, I just love them yet

  250. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it

  251. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  252. Maybe you'll just never see it, just never see it yet

  253. So this week I heard this song at a time where I was crying, I was hurting, I've been in

  254. pain constantly for three weeks, and I've been praying, I've been trying to do the stretches,

  255. trying to work it out, and I felt like I was getting the work, and then I had a good day,

  256. and then it was bad all over again.

  257. It only takes one thing that you say or do to reach someone, to give them that little

  258. bit of hope, that little bit of push, that little bit that they need.

  259. I got a text from someone that I hadn't heard from in almost two weeks, and that right there

  260. was enough to say, it's not over, don't give up.

  261. God is here, no matter how bad you think it is or how far you think you stray, He's going

  262. to come and He's going to meet you with open arms, regardless of what just happened.

  263. Amen.

  264. Amen.

  265. Alright, anybody else who know where to pray in a moment, about the 20 tape?

  266. I'm going to parallel up there, and I guess this is it.

  267. I was waiting.

  268. Okay, so you've got to hold me accountable.

  269. The Lord told me I can't say nothing until next year, so whenever I say this is it.

  270. Y'all better have a small, some inspiration for us, because I'm just saying it.

  271. I ain't got nothing to say.

  272. And I'm also asking for help.

  273. I'm trying to post a 30 minute video, this little video that I'm posting, it's just really

  274. good, but I just want to key off some of that stuff, is that we're all running from God.

  275. We're all hiding from God too.

  276. The truth is, in Ammonim, when they first came before God, they didn't really run from

  277. Him, they hid from Him.

  278. They started running their own thing, their own task, they started hiding behind what

  279. they thought, what they think, and then God shows up, and it's like, uh oh, we can't hide

  280. no more.

  281. Come on out here, let me help you.

  282. God wasn't hiding.

  283. God wasn't running, and from the whole Bible, to our history, after Christ, everybody is

  284. running and hiding from God.

  285. Everybody.

  286. The only difference is, there's people that are under God's judgment, and they're hiding

  287. because they're done.

  288. They're running because there's nowhere to go.

  289. But the Christian, God's conviction, God's Spirit, His love, anything He does is to get

  290. us out of the love, to get us out of hiding.

  291. The ones that are under His judgment is to bring them to salvation first.

  292. And the next step is to get them out of it.

  293. And the cool thing I love about this is that you think about it, I was just telling people

  294. sharing this, is love.

  295. When someone says they love you, they always say, you don't love me, you didn't show it.

  296. And that's the thing, that's the real thing love is.

  297. But the idea is, I think love is unchanging.

  298. Jesus was always true and righteous from the get go.

  299. Before, and I'm not going to get in too long because I have 30 minutes, and I'm going to

  300. do 30 minutes, but I love that Jesus did this.

  301. I hear this from people all the time, well why didn't Jesus go on the cross when David's

  302. time, right?

  303. I'm glad He came.

  304. Because I know I've given up so many times, I'm done.

  305. And any women dying on the cross, they're going to die for the punishment of God's wrath.

  306. They'll be judged for what they've done.

  307. He righteously, innocently suffered unto death.

  308. So that's why He resurrected, bodily resurrected as the victorious God He always was.

  309. So love is never changing.

  310. He always was who He was, never stopped being who He was, and never stopped giving up on

  311. who He was.

  312. And that's the first thing.

  313. But as a Christian, we still run it high.

  314. We can hide under status, we can hide under business, we can hide under friendships, relationships,

  315. we can hide under jokes and all that kind of stuff.

  316. I love joking so there's a place for it, but hey if you guys ever want to, like I said,

  317. I want to do some skits, you guys got some goofy, you guys got some characters, please

  318. join me, let's go do some videos, let's let God honor us with what goofy talents we have.

  319. What I'm just saying is that we're not, when we're making fun of something, we're not making

  320. fun of people, we're making fun of God.

  321. It really is a reflection of the heart.

  322. And it's not like God's like, oh I'm going to get you.

  323. It's like, what are you waiting for?

  324. I just wanted to love you.

  325. I just wanted to reach out to you.

  326. I just want, just like that video, which is awesome, I've always loved that video, is

  327. He's shooting fireworks hoping, not thinking for a second, God's different.

  328. He's shooting fireworks and it's like, yep, they're coming.

  329. This man doesn't know she's coming.

  330. He's doing his best to get his daughter back.

  331. And his daughter remembers that moment, those fireworks, that's that signal.

  332. My dad's looking for me.

  333. And so God's shooting fireworks every five seconds.

  334. Dad's looking for you.

  335. Go get him.

  336. Amen, good word.

  337. Okay, in just a moment I'm going to ask, I lost him.

  338. Is Ron back in here?

  339. Is he in the hallway?

  340. Is he right out there?

  341. Ron, I'm going to ask you to pray in a second.

  342. Give me a heads up.

  343. I do want to remind you that we're passing the offering plate.

  344. Our hand sanitizer bottle is placed around the room.

  345. So after you pass the offering plate, if you want to, you can sanitize your hands.

  346. We're passing the offering plate today.

  347. And I also want to remind you that we are taking up an offering,

  348. a Ladiwim Christmas offering.

  349. So this is money that goes, 100% of the money goes to international missions.

  350. So this will be money to reach people who live in Africa or France or maybe Mexico,

  351. you know, but outside the country with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  352. Okay, and so we've asked you to pray.

  353. How in the Lord might we do that?

  354. And then there's also these prayer guides that are up here as well.

  355. If you want to grab one after service that you work through.

  356. And it's seven days prayer.

  357. And we'll go through this in December together as a group.

  358. But you're welcome to do that yourself on your own.

  359. Okay, so I just want to remind you of that.

  360. And then we'll ask for the Ron back for at least some prayers.

  361. We'll pass this one and then we'll pass off.

  362. Father, thank you so much for this opportunity to be here today.

  363. Opportunity to serve you, to hear from you, and to worship you.

  364. Thank you so much for Brother East and his wife to come up here

  365. and make the long trip up here to be with us today.

  366. Father, we're sorry that we need concepts like revival,

  367. that we're not always fired up for you.

  368. Father, please be with us during this revival time.

  369. Stoke that flame inside of all of us and help us to be drawn to you

  370. in a way like never before.

  371. So that we can get on fire, so we can do your work.

  372. Be about your business and your kingdom.

  373. Bless this day.

  374. Bless the tithes and offerings that you've provided.

  375. Lord, we pray that we are good stewards of what you've given us.

  376. Be with us today.

  377. Be with the children as they go to their lesson.

  378. Help them hear from you and learn from you today, Lord.

  379. To anybody in the room who may not know you personally,

  380. I pray that they will hear from you

  381. and that they will make the decision that is on their heart.

  382. I pray that you will just come with them and look them up.

  383. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  384. Amen.

  385. Thank you.
