Being a fanatic 5: An Answer to Everything 1 Peter 3:13-17

So Outouch provides bright dark media and in the kids section a lot of times I'll go
you know find new shows and sometimes I'll watch three seasons of random shows on that
one Saturday afternoon and I found this one that's called Faith Map and the first episode
they were talking about faith and there was the people who were learning it was a big
Josh and a little Josh that stood on the table and little guy asked but why is it that we
sinned and Jesus knew no sin and he was the one who died on the cross?
That's not fair is it?
And there was times in our life it happens to me too that it'll be like oh somebody
else made this mess I shouldn't have to clean it or somebody else said this I shouldn't
have to make up for it and things like that but when you think about it Jesus did that
and he didn't complain once and that is a thousand times more precious to us than cleaning
a wound should be.
Wow that's good stuff that's good stuff that's what we're talking about okay who else?
Talking to my kids the other day and I've been telling them like for a couple months
now I was like you want a weak dad you want a strong dad and I thought about it and I'm
like they get it and even my daughter she'll be 13 soon she didn't get it and I kept saying
it because one day my daughter brought it up that she's like what if you're not strong
enough when someone overtakes you and I said and I was like oh okay you think I mean by
muscles I wasn't talking about that kind of strength because even strength is not good
enough I said it's your character because even if someone had tough muscles or big and
strong and somebody comes to do harm or someone does it they mean if their character is not
right they'll just let it go high or won't do nothing or power and fear but it's all
about character and so the one thing I encourage everybody is always finding what people's
perspectives are because I when I started sharing my kids I started to realize what
I was talking about they're still young though and then I was also thinking about Isaiah
53 where it says that um he would look like any other man Jesus doesn't look even today
I mean we see him in heaven before he is but he would come back here again as a human he
would have no appearance to make him look like an actor or a celebrity or a strong guy
or somebody better than others because he had nothing to do about what he looks like
but it's who he was inside and so um I even think about today you know when I talk to
people or you talk to people um one thing you're never going to see and never is Jesus
get out of that cloud get out of throne and defend himself because he doesn't need to
um apologetics has never been to defend the gospel it's it's always to have a defense
against everybody implying whatever they say I mean we have always have had that chance
to share that opportunity to anybody come to Jesus and the thing is I've noticed like
from what I've known in my life and anybody else's life is when you do come to Jesus there
are people that have to run to Jesus I just don't think there's a lot of them you know
I have no idea but when you come to Jesus they never turn back because you're never
the same.

It's been uh a rough couple weeks I started I think it was just the last Monday two months
ago got some weird stuff I'm talking about certain people have been basically being distorted
on bull stuff it's real bad I've basically for whatever reason I crumbled you know EMS
was coming to my house blood pressure was skyrocketing with my anger take over me and
that's not happened in a very very very long time and uh they kept having me change my
number and then the Lord stopped and we roll into Thursday powder gang with dirty tricks
bang bang dirty hits and I'm getting a concussion and I'm gonna spend time with dr I'm thinking
like what's going on they have stuff you ever get how can you get it good stuff you've got
to stand away you believe stand firm away you know to be true and for every stuff that
is free my mind is like this stuff it crumbled me kind of beat me up took me down and said
you know my son you got a number here in God's hands no matter what happened good bad or
indifferent okay I told him that in the hospital I think in that white black and blue white
I know this why did I why did why did it tear me down like a year why does this happen if
wherever I may teach a moment whatever it may be but because we've been in him have
taught had talks since his injuries and stuff when we go on and stuff happened again Friday
and I know why what would stand on what you know to be true that's the basis what I learned
from this being him have had talks about this and even though while it sucked it's been
enlightened and hopefully you know from that nice all right who else are we good all mine
clear for the moment all right bring it next week all right he can tell you would you lead
us in prayer event and then we'll go to hide and offerings and a little more worship the
power or thank you thank you this day again this thing for the sunshine a little bit warmer
weather and we're just uh thank you for this place we come to and your people and sit with
other brothers and sisters and sing and worship you and and hopefully hear from you Lord and
we ask you Lord to show up today be a pastor as he brings forth your word and you will
speak to him through us and that we can go away from here thanking you and knowing that
we learned something new maybe something to re-energize this thank for your words from
inspiration moments thank you for life experiences Lord how you use them to teach us teach us
that you are with us you will never leave us no for sake and then we just hold that
hope that trust in you everything's going to be okay we're going to go through some
stuff but uh lord you're there on the other side on each side and uh just ask you where
to be with us at this time we have offerings our ties and we take them up we're blessed
and obviously use them according to your word thank you thank you
so
