  1. Yeah. person to volunteer to open us to pray

  2. for you. Are you ready? Carson, go ahead. Nice

  3. and loud. Hold on to your seatbelt. I changed

  4. everything, but it's okay because it doesn't

  5. always have to be the same. So here we go. Wacked

  6. out simple stuff today. We're going to look at

  7. some Bible verses, Bible intake through music.

  8. So some of you have some note cards. We're going

  9. to start with number one. Who's got number one?

  10. Go ahead, Reed. All right. 2 Corinthians 4, 8,

  11. 9. And then Psalms 34 .5. Okay. Got to read the

  12. verse. I got to hear the verse. I didn't know.

  13. The instructions are not clear. Give me one second.

  14. One second. I'm behind you. Sorry. So we'll play

  15. the Jeopardy song. One second. One second. Hey,

  16. that makes sense. We are hard -pressed on every

  17. side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not despair,

  18. persecuted, but not advantaged, struck down,

  19. but not destroyed. Sound familiar? We just sang

  20. Bible verse. You got the other one, Tommy? Yeah.

  21. All right, Psalms 34 and 5 is, Sing to the Lord,

  22. you saints of his. Praise his holy name. For

  23. his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor

  24. lasts a lifetime. We who may remain for a night,

  25. but rejoice it comes in the morning. That's Psalm

  26. 2. Yep. Who's that number two? Go ahead. Sounds

  27. familiar? Yes. We're counting in order. So whoever

  28. has number three can read now. Who's got it?

  29. Who's got three? Behind you. And my people who

  30. are called by my name humble themselves and pray

  31. and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways

  32. that I will hear from heaven and I will forgive

  33. their sin and will heal their man. What is That's

  34. exactly right. From the right to the left. Number

  35. six. Seven. So. So. You are the Skip number eight

  36. for a minute. Number nine. Sorry, going out of

  37. order. Number nine. Who's got it? Three of them.

  38. Go ahead. For I know that my Redeemer lives,

  39. and he shall stand on the earth. Stand at last

  40. on the earth. Isaiah 40, 31. But those who hope

  41. in the Lord will endure their strength. They

  42. will soar on wings. They will run and not grow

  43. weary. They will walk and not be faint. We just

  44. did this song on Sunday. I'm not going to sing

  45. this one because I don't have time. So, but you

  46. are my hiding place. Says, you are my hiding

  47. place. You always fill my heart with songs of

  48. deliverance. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust

  49. in you. Let the weak say I am strong in the strength

  50. of the Lord. You are my hiding place. You always

  51. fill my heart with songs of deliverance. Whenever

  52. I am afraid, I will trust in you. 12. Isaiah

  53. 54, 17. But in that coming day, when I went to

  54. turn against you, you will succeed. These benefits

  55. are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord. Their

  56. vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have

  57. spoken. this passion against us will stand. Your

  58. battle belongs to the Lord. We sing glory, honor,

  59. power, and strength to the Lord. We sing glory,

  60. honor, power, and strength to the Lord. 13. By

  61. my spirit, we did on Sunday, these mountains

  62. shall be removed, I will build my temple in you,

  63. and what I have promised shall be done, not by

  64. might, not by power, but by my spirit, says the

  65. Lord. 14. 126. Jesus said to her, woman, believe

  66. me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain

  67. nor in Jerusalem will worship the Father. You

  68. worship what you do, not know. You worship what

  69. we know. For salvation is from the Jews. But

  70. an hour is coming and now is When the true worshipers

  71. will worship the Father in spirit and in truth,

  72. for such people the Father seeks to be his worshipers,

  73. God is spirit, and those who worship him must

  74. worship in spirit and truth. Then the woman said

  75. to him, I know that Messiah is coming, he who

  76. is called Christ. When the one comes, he will

  77. declare all things he was. Jesus said to her,

  78. I am he. The song Maranatha, that Tim sings so

  79. well, says, hear the news. Jesus Christ is coming

  80. and it will be soon. Come on and join the race

  81. we're running. For God is the spirit, the almighty

  82. spirit, the spirit that's living inside of me.

  83. And I want to raise my voice and sing, Maranatha,

  84. Christ is king. Fifteen? Fifteen? All right,

  85. Jason, last one. Okay, so hold that thought.

  86. One more song. Before we do that, I want you

  87. to think about this. I have sang these songs,

  88. some of these songs, for what, 15, 20 years?

  89. Did I know that they were Bible verses word for

  90. word from the Bible? I did not. So think about

  91. that when you're going through your life. Think

  92. about there may be things that you're seeing,

  93. that you're hearing, that you're saying, that

  94. you're singing every day that is straight from

  95. the Bible and you may not even know it. Which

  96. is why Bible intake is so important. You take

  97. it in, you put it out. But it's good to know

  98. where the out comes from. Children, you may go

  99. to your lesson. That was cool. Let's go. Woo!

  100. Thank you very much. I gave them all to him.

  101. Okay. So you have a worksheet coming around.

  102. You will notice when it comes around that it

  103. is... than average size. At least the amount

  104. of information that we're going to cover in it

  105. is smaller than average size. Before we are through,

  106. we are going to stretch our technology to the

  107. limit and review all of the last 10 weeks of

  108. lessons that we have done through the time when

  109. David was ousted from Jerusalem. Okay, so that

  110. is our goal. So we have quite a bit on our agenda

  111. and I have done it in kind of a fun way when

  112. that time comes. So we'll... Some of us will

  113. actually be using our phones in church. This

  114. will be very different, very new, something odd.

  115. So I hope you did bring it today, but don't have

  116. it out until that time comes. So we're looking

  117. at David, and it says wrapping up. So as much

  118. as this as we can do from memory will be the

  119. less of it that we need to look up. So the more

  120. that you can do from memory. the less we will

  121. need to look up and the faster it will go and

  122. the more time that we'll have for fun later,

  123. which we'll need quite a bit of time because

  124. the fun is going to take a minute, okay? All

  125. right, so David, wrapping up. The first section

  126. there is always a person and then, if you will,

  127. what happened to them or what we learned about

  128. them during the time of our total study, okay?

  129. And then I threw in a couple of guys that you

  130. probably won't remember and we will have to learn

  131. about them. So the first section, We learned

  132. about a guy who starts with the letter J. That's

  133. exactly right. And what happened to him ends

  134. with he died. That's right. So he wound up dead.

  135. Very good. That was easy. The next one, a little

  136. less known guy starts, the whole name is there,

  137. was Abiathar. Do you remember who he was? Anybody

  138. remember who he was? Okay, who was he? Kind of

  139. an advisor. Who was he? Tell me who he was first.

  140. He was a priest. And later became a high priest.

  141. That's true. And so he was the high priest when

  142. Solomon takes over when David dies. And then

  143. what did Solomon do to him? And it's on the paper

  144. then. They're filling the blank. It starts with

  145. an R, so that's pretty easy. What did he do to

  146. him? You got a high priest. You get rid of him.

  147. You have to have a high priest. So you replaced

  148. him. So he replaced him. Abiathar was there during

  149. the time of David's ousting, but he was not the

  150. high priest at that time. Zadok was. Later, Zadok

  151. and Abiathar are still alive, but Abiathar is

  152. the high priest. And Solomon kicks Abiathar out

  153. of the priesthood and brings Zadok to be priest

  154. again. So the old guy comes back. And then the

  155. next one is Solomon. And this one we will actually

  156. probably have to read. David says to Solomon,

  157. this is from 1 Kings 2. He says, I am going the

  158. way of all the earth. Be strong, therefore, and

  159. show yourself a man. And so Solomon is what?

  160. Starts with a C. What's that? No, I'm talking

  161. about in this actual verse. So what did David

  162. do to him? He says, I'm going the way. No, not

  163. cursed. That's not like a curse, does it? He

  164. says, be strong, therefore. And show yourself

  165. a man. Jason, if I say to you, be strong, what

  166. am I doing to you? Okay, yeah, you could say

  167. that. Or if it starts with a C, you could say

  168. he challenged him or charged him. Right? He was

  169. charged with what? Being strong. That's right.

  170. He was charged with being strong. And it continues

  171. on to the next line. And, shall I read the verse

  172. again? Showing himself a man. Okay. Those are

  173. not the same thing necessarily. Right. So it's

  174. not a restatement of the same phrase. So be strong

  175. and show himself a man. That's what David told

  176. Solomon to do. Now he does a little bit more.

  177. We'll get to it a little later. All right. And

  178. we have this guy who's kind of an interesting

  179. character. I very seriously doubt that you remember

  180. him. His name is Barzillai. B -A -R -Z -I -L

  181. -L -A -I. Okay. And David. charges Solomon in

  182. verse 7 of that same chapter, but show kindness

  183. to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite. I can

  184. spell Gileadite for you as well. It is exactly

  185. like it sounds. G -I -L -E -A -D -I -T -E. So

  186. it's Barzillai the Gileadite. That just means

  187. he was from Gilead. Okay, Barzillai the Gileadite.

  188. And David told him the K is what? Kindness. And

  189. it goes a little further, so I'll read a little

  190. bit more here. Show kindness to the sons of Barzillai

  191. the Gileadite, and let them be among those who

  192. eat at your table. For they assisted me when

  193. I fled from Absalom your brother. So Barzillai

  194. the Gileadite, kindness and eat at Solomon's

  195. table. Eat at Solomon's table. We're going good.

  196. We'll have plenty of time for the fun part. I

  197. don't like this. This is kind of fun part two.

  198. So whatever. All right. So then we have another

  199. guy. Does anybody remember some guys that started

  200. with an S and maybe you'll get it? We studied

  201. them. Saul was one, but not the one. Right. Saul

  202. is pre this story mostly. Right. Shimei or Shimei.

  203. That's who we're talking about. And he was, you

  204. probably wouldn't remember this. He was the son

  205. of Gera. G -E -R -A. What did he do? He's in

  206. your paperwork. We studied him. He was not on

  207. a page by himself. We did not study him a week

  208. by himself because he's kind of a small character.

  209. Does anybody remember what he did? S -H -I -M

  210. -E -I. Shim -E -I or Shim -A. He is the son of

  211. Gerah. G -E -R -A. Does anybody remember anything

  212. about him? He cursed David when David was in

  213. retreat. As they came to a place of worship in

  214. the high hills, He yelled curses at David and

  215. said, see, you didn't belong to be king anyway.

  216. He cursed him, calling down curses from God on

  217. David. Yeah, he said, do not punish him. Do not

  218. kill him now. Maybe God will respond to these

  219. curses and give me good instead. Yep. So later,

  220. Shimei comes back and we studied this. Shimei

  221. comes back to David and he pledges his loyalty.

  222. He does it right. He comes back to him, he brings

  223. the troops, and he says, we're with you. And

  224. David says, I promise you, I will not kill you

  225. with a sword. I will not do it. Even though you

  226. cursed me in that day, I'm not going to do it.

  227. So now we're at the death of David. And Shimei,

  228. the son of Gerah, David says, shall not be unpunished.

  229. So the word there is not unpunished. I'm going

  230. to read to you how Solomon handles this. Pretty

  231. tricky, pretty wise sounding. This is what happens.

  232. I'm almost there. Almost there. Almost there.

  233. There it is. Okay. The king. Okay. Now the king

  234. sent and called for Shimei and said to him, build

  235. for yourself a house in Jerusalem and live there.

  236. Do not go out from there to any place. In other

  237. words, he basically grounded him in Jerusalem.

  238. For on the day you go out and cross over the

  239. brook Kidron, you will know for certain that

  240. you shall surely die. Your blood shall be on

  241. your own head. Shimei then said to the king,

  242. the word is good. As my lord the king has said,

  243. so your servant will do. So Shimei lived in Jerusalem

  244. many days. But it came about at the end of three

  245. years that two of the servants of Shimei ran

  246. away to Ashish, son of Makkah, king of Gath.

  247. And they told Shimei, saying, Behold, your servants

  248. are in Gath. Then Shimei arose and saddled his

  249. donkey and went to Gath to Ashish to look for

  250. his servants. And Shimei went and brought his

  251. servants from Gath. It was told Solomon that

  252. Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had

  253. returned. So the king sent and called for Shimei

  254. and said to him, Did I not make you swear by

  255. the Lord and solemnly warn you, saying, You will

  256. know for certain that on the day you depart and

  257. go anywhere, you shall surely die? And you said

  258. to me, The word which I have heard is good. Why

  259. then have you not kept the oath of the Lord and

  260. the command which I have laid on you? The king

  261. also said to Shimei, You know all the evil which

  262. you acknowledge in your heart, which you did

  263. to my father David. Therefore the Lord shall

  264. return your evil on your own head. But King Solomon

  265. shall be blessed. and the throne of David shall

  266. be established before the Lord forever. So the

  267. king commanded Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada,

  268. and he went out and fell upon him so that he

  269. died. So Shimei, the son of Gerah, it says on

  270. your paper, not unpunished, he was first ordered

  271. to stay in Jerusalem, then, keep going, then,

  272. killed for breaking his promise. Perfect. Killed

  273. for breaking his promise. See how good we've

  274. gotten at this? So he was... First ordered to

  275. stay in Jerusalem, then killed for breaking his

  276. promise. That's right. So now we have another

  277. character. The next part is another character.

  278. I just mentioned him. His name is Benaiah. It's

  279. B -E -N -A -I -A -H. Benaiah. B -E -N -A -I -A

  280. -H. Okay? And he is the son of, I just read it.

  281. Did anybody hear it? Jehoiada. That's right.

  282. He is the son of Jehoiada. During our story,

  283. He was already a mighty man of God. And when

  284. we read about him, he was the... Say it again.

  285. Okay. Get it from somebody around you. They should

  286. have it. Okay. Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada,

  287. he was the... Yes, the head of David's... Starts

  288. with a G. A king must have a guard. He was the

  289. head of the king's guard. Right? And now, Solomon

  290. makes him... He gets a promotion of that. The

  291. head of the army. That's right. So upon David's

  292. death, Joab is slain. Solomon orders it. And

  293. Jehoiada, I'm sorry, Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada,

  294. becomes the head of the army in Joab's place.

  295. David spends his remaining days. The next line

  296. is David. Does anybody know what David did for

  297. the remaining days of his life? Starts with a

  298. G. Say it again. Nope. In fact, he had no cause

  299. to grieve from then on. Everything went pretty

  300. well, even though he was dying. He gathered supplies.

  301. What did he gather the supplies for? To build

  302. the temple. So David spends the remainder of

  303. his life, you can read about it in 1 Chronicles

  304. 22 .5, gathering supplies to build the temple.

  305. David gathered supplies to build the temple.

  306. Then, He charged Solomon again with a list of

  307. things to do. And I'm just going to give them

  308. to you in the interest of time because I want

  309. to get on to the review. Solomon was charged

  310. with being successful. He was already charged

  311. with being strong. Now he's charged with being

  312. successful. Discerning, D -I -S -C -E -R -N -I

  313. -N -G. Discerning, D -I -S, like disc, E -R -N

  314. -I -N -G. Discerning. It means to be able to

  315. sort one thing from another. Understanding. We

  316. talked a lot about that recently. You need to

  317. be able to understand the word. That is what

  318. we are called to, is not just to know it or even

  319. abide by it, but to understand it. That's a pretty

  320. big calling. He was called to understand it.

  321. And the last one you might get starts with a

  322. K. Say it again. No. Actually, he was not called

  323. to be kind. He was kind of a jerk. He was harsh.

  324. Real harsh. Like, remember the whole, take her

  325. baby out and cut it in half. That's not kind.

  326. That was pretty mean. Pretty shrewd. So try it

  327. again. K? Nope. It's not knowledge. It's keep

  328. the whole law. Now all kings were called to keep

  329. the whole law, but not all of them will do it,

  330. right? Keep the whole law. And we have now seen

  331. the transition then from King David to King Solomon.

  332. From King David to King Solomon. And now we arrive

  333. at our review of 10 weeks. Okay? So Tommy is

  334. going to... go on the New Heights website where

  335. you can look at this from now on until I take

  336. it off of there. Just FYI, the New Heights website

  337. right now will say that the security is invalid

  338. because it is. It's not trying to steal your

  339. identity or anything like that, but our security

  340. certificate is invalid and we're waiting for

  341. them to update it. They have everything that

  342. they need. It will be updated shortly. But in

  343. Google, it should already be open, Tommy. What's

  344. after Ben Rehosoja? Okay. Was the head of David's

  345. Guard, now the head of the Army. Yep. Did everybody

  346. get all the blanks? Okay. So we are going to

  347. play Jeopardy. But before we begin, first of

  348. all, we're going to have a token. Hold on. We

  349. will not play this throughout because it's actually

  350. quite annoying. This is our one time. So if you

  351. recognize it, the Jeopardy scene. Okay. Maybe

  352. we'll play 12 more seconds of it later. Okay.

  353. So now, this is where we need our phones. So

  354. if you brought a phone, I need about three or

  355. four people to volunteer to be one of the people.

  356. Okay. So Jason is one. Tony is one. Haley is

  357. one. I've got three. I need one more at least.

  358. One more person is willing to use their phone.

  359. You don't have to say where you're at. Okay.

  360. So you're willing to use your phone? Okay. So

  361. it's Tony, Haley, Solo, and Jason. And everybody

  362. else needs to get on one of their teams right

  363. now. So move a little closer. Somebody's with

  364. Haley somebody so let's go. So why don't you

  365. go move over there? Yeah, you can collect all

  366. those adults Okay, and then Jason why don't you

  367. come up here to the front? You can have Brady

  368. and your mom. Oh boy, that's a winning team right

  369. here. Okay, and then Haley why don't you move

  370. back there with Tommy and Tim can you move over

  371. with Haley and Tommy? Tommy's gonna play because

  372. he has to run the screen, but he doesn't know

  373. the answers and then Josh should be with Tony.

  374. Okay, that'll work The mic's probably going to

  375. come up a row because he's doing his yarn up

  376. here. All right. Okay. So now, those of you who

  377. are using your phone, I need you to go to a certain

  378. website. So you're going to go to Google, and

  379. I'm going to read the website to you. Can't do

  380. what? Can you go to Google and put in a website?

  381. If not, it's okay. We'll do it differently. Okay,

  382. so the website is Buzonk, B -U -Z -Z -O -N -K

  383. dot com. B -U -Z -Z -O -N -K two Z's dot com.

  384. Okay, are you there? Okay, then enter this code

  385. on the line when you're there. The number eight.

  386. Looks like this. It's yellow and black. It says

  387. Bazunk. Like a B. It's B -U, not B -O. You can't

  388. misspell words. Is that a problem? B -U -C -Z.

  389. O -N -K. Is it just B? That's it. In the box.

  390. Is it just B? You guys give us all. Okay, so

  391. the code is 8, the letter R, the number 7, 8R,

  392. 7, Y, W, K. And then you can join. It should

  393. be there. Yes. Okay, I've got a connection problem.

  394. Retry. Hold on. Okay, if you click the top, you

  395. should be able to add your name, your team name.

  396. Yours is Bill? Yeah. Okay, I may have just erased

  397. you. Did you say enter? Or buzz? That's the buzzer

  398. for the game. Okay, so I have five players. Let's

  399. see what they are. Make sure all my settings

  400. are right. All right, so here's how the game

  401. is going to be played. One player will begin

  402. by picking a category and a point amount off

  403. of the screen that you see above us. Okay, we're

  404. going to try this one time. So I'm going to hit

  405. the reset button. You should be able to... Push

  406. your buzzer after I hit the reset button. Do

  407. you see your buzzer lit up? Yes, it's lit. Everyone

  408. got it? Haley, is your buzzer lit up? No, it's

  409. not. Somebody pushed theirs, that's why. Okay,

  410. try it again. Everybody's buzzer should light

  411. up. Don't push it. As long as we can all see

  412. it, that's fine. Okay, we're good. Okay, so everyone

  413. can see the buzzer. So here's how it's going

  414. to work. Once somebody buzzes in, nobody else

  415. will be able to buzz in. Okay? Yep. So I should

  416. get a record of who buzzed in first. You start

  417. with zero points. If you get an incorrect answer,

  418. you will go backwards. I'm not seeing everybody's

  419. name title. Do we have to say who it is, what

  420. it is, just like Jeffrey? Yes. Yes, it's a question

  421. like Jeffrey. Yes Okay, there I see everybody

  422. now. All right, so I have these are the teams

  423. who's awesome You guys are awesome back there.

  424. Okay, who's Knights of God Knights of God over

  425. there? Okay, who's Pluto? Okay up there and then

  426. yarn busters. I love it So So what we're gonna

  427. do is the first part whoever has it first will

  428. Pick a category at a dollar or point amounts.

  429. We're not doing dollars, okay? And then you will

  430. have the question will be displayed. Whoever

  431. buzzes in at that time, only who buzzes in will

  432. be called on to answer the question. If you get

  433. the question wrong, you will go backwards by

  434. that many points. And then somebody else will

  435. have an opportunity to buzz in and you will not,

  436. okay? All right. Here we go. We're going to try.

  437. I say we're stretching the technology as far

  438. as I know how to stretch it right now, all right?

  439. Okay, so I am going to ask a question. No, actually,

  440. I'm just going to pick. The Yarn Busters will

  441. have the first choice, so we can just get this

  442. moving, all right? Because we're going to try

  443. to do the whole screen if we can. Let's do plots

  444. for 300, Alex. Okay, so click on plots. Okay,

  445. wait, wait. Plots for 300, Charlie. Ready? And

  446. you are. Prophet and wife who approached David

  447. to ensure that Solomon would become king, as

  448. promised, need both names. Someone pushed the

  449. buzzer, and it is Yarnbusters. Who is Nathan

  450. and Bathsheba? That is correct. Those are the

  451. correct answers. Yarnbusters, how much does it

  452. work? 300. Yarnbusters have 300. Okay. So your

  453. score should show 300 on your screen. All right.

  454. Not bad. Okay. Alright yarn Buster's ever have

  455. the board still give us a Category and points.

  456. Let's go for plots for 400 army plots for 400

  457. Okay Okay, this is a video challenge So I will

  458. pause the timer on the buzz in alright So what

  459. we're going to watch is a video segment of I

  460. know I want to actually see people on the screen

  461. because this is from YouTube But you'll be able

  462. to hear This is not from Tuesday night. It is

  463. from a Sunday morning sermon. Okay? So, Tommy,

  464. there's going to be a question at the end of

  465. it. When you hear the question, pause the YouTube

  466. video. Okay? Because they'll give the answer

  467. afterwards. All right. Okay. So let me reset

  468. this. Once your buzzer lights up, you can buzz

  469. in. Absalom has his men kill Amnon. And the story

  470. could stop there, right? Revenge has been taken.

  471. Sounds good. Absalom did that. But guess what?

  472. The part of the story you may or may not have

  473. focused on when we studied it is David receives

  474. news of what happened. The first news he receives

  475. is that all of his sons have been killed by Absalom.

  476. That's the first news, right? But then there's

  477. a guy there and he says, no, no, no. It really,

  478. I guarantee you, it wasn't all of your sons.

  479. It was just Amnon. Absalom had Amnon killed because

  480. he was mad over the rape of Samar. Right? And

  481. then the message comes and the servant or the

  482. person who was there said, see, I told you. And

  483. then the sons come and he says, see, I told you.

  484. I told you it was just Amnon who was killed.

  485. And guess who that person was? 11 seconds. And

  486. the time has expired. And reveal the answer.

  487. That was telling David. It was just... Just click

  488. on the spot where it says face bar at the top

  489. where it says reveal correct response. Jonadab.

  490. Who was Jonadab? Okay. All right. So no one got

  491. the answer correct. So we're back to the Yarnbusters

  492. picking another category and point amount. Plots

  493. for 200, Tommy. Plots for 200. This person sent

  494. orders to Joab to have a man killed to cover

  495. up his sin with the man's wife. Did you buzz

  496. in? Hold on. Don't say the answer until I'm sure

  497. it's you. Okay, I have awesome, correct? Yes,

  498. that is right. David is the correct answer. And

  499. was it 200? Yes. Okay. You should now have 200

  500. points. Died hanging from his hair. Okay, who

  501. buzzed in? It was buzzed in by Yarn Busters.

  502. Absalom is correct. Was that 100? Okay. Alright.

  503. Okay. Go ahead. What do we got? Plots for 500.

  504. Tries to replace his brother Solomon as king

  505. while David is old. Ten seconds. And time is

  506. up. The answer is... Who is Adonijah? Adonijah.

  507. Push the button, Tommy. Who is Adonijah? Okay.

  508. And who picked that category? That was Yarnbusters.

  509. Plots for 100, Tommy. Absalom used this method

  510. to Joab to invite him to see King David. How

  511. did he get Joab to invite him to see King David?

  512. Somebody buzzed in. All right. Who was it? I

  513. think it was Awesome. I have everybody. That's

  514. not right. Okay. All right. Now I have Awesome.

  515. Team Awesome. That is correct. What is burned

  516. is peeled. 100 points. Chris just sent me a letter

  517. and you burned my fields. You tried the letter

  518. thing quite a few times before you resorted to

  519. that. Resetting, pause, okay. Alright, what do

  520. we got? Death for 200. Left under a blanket off

  521. the road after being killed by Joab. Hey, I have

  522. somebody buzzed in. It is awesome. Go. Amasa

  523. is correct. 200 points. Okay. Awesome has control

  524. of the board and also the lead with 500 points.

  525. Is that right? Where's Yarnbusters? Yeah, Yarnbusters

  526. is at 400 points. Okay. Pick title and... Not

  527. Amasa, but the other leader of the army Joab

  528. murdered. Okay, someone buzzed in and the answer

  529. is two goes to Yarn Busters. Uh -oh. What is

  530. the answer, please? You have eight seconds. Two

  531. is incorrect. Okay, so that's the correct answer.

  532. So you will lose 300 points. One second while

  533. I do that. Resetting the buzzer so someone else

  534. can buzz in. Okay. Pluto. Pluto. Who's Pluto?

  535. Okay, go. Who is it? Abner is correct with 200

  536. points. Okay. Yep, so you guys are picking. People

  537. for 400. People for 400. Cursed David as David

  538. evacuated. Okay, we have somebody buzzed in.

  539. It is Team Pluto taking a big risk here. Team

  540. Pluto, 10 seconds. Shimei. Shimei is correct.

  541. Verily under the gun there. That was a big one,

  542. though. And that puts them in the lead. So we

  543. have 600 for Pluto, 500 for Awesome, 100 for

  544. Yarn Busters. All right. Resetting. People for

  545. 500. People for 500. Became leader over one -third

  546. of the army. David is famous for killing a giant

  547. from his hometown. Did somebody buzz? Yes, I

  548. think Pluto buzzed, but I think they're going

  549. to be in trouble. Seven seconds. Itai. No. The

  550. answer has been given as Itai, and that is correct.

  551. Oh, okay. Love you. Who is Itai the Gittite?

  552. Hold it out. Oh, my, my, my. You did not think

  553. you were correct, though. No, I did not. Okay.

  554. All right. People for 100. Hold on one second.

  555. Okay, people for 100. King on the run. It should

  556. be. It's counting. Somebody got it. No, it doesn't

  557. show anybody buzzed. Oh, it is. Stop. Okay, get

  558. ready. Everybody look away and go now. Let's

  559. see who got it. Knights of God. That is correct.

  560. David was on the run, and you're on the board.

  561. Yay! All right. Watch him come from nowhere.

  562. The game is still young. The game is still young.

  563. It's anybody's game. Okay, you guys pick. What

  564. do you want? Any category. People for 200. King

  565. temporarily. Okay. The buzzer went to Pluto.

  566. King temporarily. Absalom. Absalom is incorrect.

  567. The answer must be phrased as a question. Hold

  568. on. I got to restart it. Go. Somebody must have

  569. done it. And the next person is yarn busters.

  570. Okay. Grammatically incorrect, but still correct.

  571. Okay, that was worth 200. Okay. We're not out

  572. yet. No one's out. No one is out for sure. Okay.

  573. Who got it? Yarnbusters, pick a category and

  574. a point value. People for 10 ,000. That's not

  575. fair. People for 300? 300 ,000. A loyal commander

  576. of the army throughout. Yarn Busters is in. Who

  577. is Joab? Joab is correct. And that was 300. The

  578. parsers made a mistake there, apparently. I told

  579. you I was stretching myself to limit here. All

  580. right. Let's go Endings for 300. Endings for

  581. 300. Okay, so this is an illustration. Name the

  582. two cities pictured, the hometowns of two people

  583. who fought in the Battle of David and Goliath.

  584. Someone buzzed in. It was Pluto. Gath and Bethlehem

  585. is incorrect. Must be phrased as a question.

  586. Ten seconds for somebody else to buzz in. Well,

  587. it would as soon as I hit the resume button,

  588. and now it has. And so awesome has buzzed in

  589. for the answer. Awesome. Six seconds. Okay. Time

  590. has expired. So both of them are getting a detraction.

  591. We'll do that in a moment. The buzzer will become

  592. available to you again. And time has expired

  593. on the question. Okay, so let's do the directions.

  594. The answer is what or where is both Bethlehem

  595. and Gap, which is what Jason said. So he did

  596. give the answer, he just gave it wrong for that.

  597. 300. All right, so both teams lose 300. All right.

  598. All right. One second, we'll reset. Go ahead.

  599. Endings for 200, Tommy. Replace David as king

  600. when David died. I do not have anyone buzzed

  601. in at the moment. Oh, my bad. Okay, here we go.

  602. Okay. Yarn Busters. No, it is awesome. I'm sorry.

  603. It is awesome. Awesome. Go ahead. What was that?

  604. The question was, who is Solomon? That is correct.

  605. And 200. Okay. So the scores as we stand right

  606. now, just so everyone is aware, Awesome has 400,

  607. Knights of God at 100, Pluto at 800, and Yarn

  608. Busters at 600. So Pluto is in the lead despite...

  609. Two major failures and forgetting to say a question.

  610. Okay. All right. So we're going to test it. We're

  611. going to test to make sure the buzzer. No one

  612. buzz in, please. Go ahead. Okay. It's probably

  613. because somebody's buzzing in right before you.

  614. Sometimes you just have to have confidence and

  615. risk it. I don't know. All right. Here we go.

  616. So resetting, pausing. Okay. Pick a category

  617. and point value. So should the buzzer be lit

  618. up then? No, not until you put the question up.

  619. Killed by Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, on Solomon's

  620. orders after David's death for his murders of

  621. army leaders. Yarnbusters has buzzed in. You

  622. have 15 seconds to answer. Six, five. Time has

  623. expired. Yarn Busters has not answered. Be prepared

  624. to buzz in. Okay, who was it? Let's see. Knights

  625. of God. That is correct. Joab is the correct

  626. answer. So Yarn Busters lost the 400 points.

  627. Hold on, I can't find 400 points off the screen.

  628. And Knights of God have taken a jump toward the

  629. front. No one's out. It's going to go to the

  630. very last minute. It's going to go to the last

  631. minute. So score as we have it right now, Awesome

  632. is at 400, Knights of God at 500, Pluto at 800,

  633. and Yarnbusters at 200 after a brilliant early

  634. lead. Okay. Ah, I can't do it. Okay, I'm ready.

  635. Nice if God got it, you pick. Allies for 100.

  636. Allies for 100. Very top of the screen. A faithful

  637. warrior, got results, no recorded losses. Someone

  638. is obviously buzzed in. It is Pluto. Who is Joab?

  639. Joab is correct. Who is Joab is correct. Okay,

  640. so that was 100 points. Yay. What did you say?

  641. All right, create a category and a point value.

  642. Allies for 400. Allies for 400. Corrected David

  643. after his sin with Bathsheba, use the prophet

  644. Nathan to do so. Yarnbusters has buzzed in. Who

  645. is the G .O .D.? Okay, I'll give it to you, even

  646. though you spelled it. That's correct. Who is

  647. God? 400 points for God there. God used the prophet

  648. Nathan to correct. It was a trick question. It

  649. was one of those ones designed to cause you to

  650. lose points. For a second, I'm like, wait a minute.

  651. Who corrected David? It was supposed to be exciting.

  652. That was really hard. The bottom ones are kind

  653. of tricky. Let's go. Allies for 500, Tommy. Allies

  654. for 500. Going for the big points. Get back in.

  655. This man countered Ahithophel's advice. Okay,

  656. Pluto has buzzed in. 17 seconds. They're scrambling.

  657. They don't know the answer yet. That is incorrect.

  658. The buzzer will become available. Seven seconds

  659. remaining. Going, going, going. All right. Time

  660. has expired on this question. What was the word?

  661. 500. Okay, that hurts. Okay. Anybody want to

  662. answer it now that time has expired? We want

  663. to spell it correctly for points. Who was it?

  664. Archi. I misspelled it. That's awesome. All right,

  665. definitely stretching myself here. All right,

  666. here we go. Are we ready? Deaths for 500. The

  667. number of men slain by the pestilence before

  668. the Lord stayed the hand of the angel about to

  669. strike Jerusalem. Somebody buzzed in. It is nights

  670. of God. You have 14 seconds to answer. The number

  671. of men slain by the pestilence before God stayed

  672. the hand of the angel. Four seconds. May as well

  673. take a guess. The time has expired. Get ready

  674. for your buzzer to be available. Okay, someone

  675. has buzzed in. It is Pluto. Give us your answer.

  676. I don't know how to phrase this. 20 ,000? What

  677. is 20 ,000? That is incorrect. Okay, so they

  678. will both get that incorrect and we will go to

  679. the top. Your buzzer is going to become available

  680. again. So Knights of God and Pluto are out. That

  681. leaves the two of you if you want to take a stab

  682. at it. Yarn Busters has buzzed in. Ten seconds.

  683. Actually, seven seconds. Three, two... What is

  684. 70 ,000? What is 70 ,000? Is the correct answer?

  685. You opened up the Bible, baby. You used the Bible

  686. to get the answer? Oh, you're going to blame

  687. me. I made such an awesome worksheet and you

  688. didn't go find it in the worksheet? Way to come,

  689. man. We could find it. He went to the champ.

  690. All right, so we've got to do some reduction.

  691. I don't think it's on the worksheet either. It

  692. might not be, but we talked about it for sure.

  693. Great job, Jeff. Way to come. Okay, thanks a

  694. lot. Let's do allies for 300. Yarnbusters, hold

  695. on, I'm doing the points here. Yarnbusters has

  696. pulled ahead at 1100. We have Knights of God

  697. and Pluto are both at negative 100. Awesome is

  698. at 400. But we're not done yet. It's not over

  699. yet. Whenever you're ready. Allies for 300. I

  700. was trying to say. Stayed to carry messages during

  701. David's flight into the region in Ephraim. Either

  702. name will do. Five seconds. Pluto is in. 18 seconds.

  703. That is incorrect. The original buzzer is resetting.

  704. Three seconds. Okay, time is up. The answers

  705. are two young men. Go ahead, Tommy. Jonathan

  706. and I forgot the other guy's name. Ahamaz, the

  707. son of Zadok, or Jonathan, Abiathar's son. Abiathar

  708. and Zadok came out with the ark. I thought it

  709. was Jonathan. I thought it was Jonathan. Allies

  710. for 200, Tommy. Hold on, I've got to reduce Pluto,

  711. right? How much was that word worth? That was

  712. an hard one. It must have been 400, right? 300?

  713. Okay. And that was the only person that missed

  714. it, right? Okay. Next time, somebody else is

  715. going to do this part. This is stressing me out.

  716. I'm here to any keystrokes. Alex Trebek does

  717. not do this. Okay. No, he doesn't do it for himself.

  718. Okay. What do we got? Allies for 200. Allies

  719. for 200. Brought the Ark of the Covenant out

  720. to David at the Brook of Kidron. Someone buzzed

  721. in. I'll tell you who it is in a second. It is

  722. Pluto. 16 seconds. Who is Jonathan and Satan?

  723. That is incorrect. Too many words. Too many words.

  724. Reopening the buzzer. Still got 18 seconds left.

  725. Knights of God buzzed in. Unfortunately, Jonathan

  726. is incorrect. The buzzer is back. Does anybody

  727. know the other word that Jason said? That was

  728. the other word he said. Two seconds. One, zero.

  729. Okay, so Knights of God missed it, unfortunately.

  730. It was 200 down. It was not Jonathan. It was

  731. Zadok. Zadok was the high priest. He came out

  732. and David told him to go back. It's a tricky

  733. question. The four and 500 point questions are

  734. hard. Okay. All right, here we go. Endings for

  735. 500, Tommy. Endings for 500. Go with the big

  736. banging here. Goliath has this many sons who

  737. died to David and his allies. I heard a buzzer.

  738. Hold on. It is Pluto. What is four? What is four

  739. is correct. Yeah, good job. We're back to almost

  740. zero. All right. We've got some left. Almost

  741. done. What do we got? Endings for 400. This king

  742. oversaw the building of the temple. Okay. The

  743. buzzer has been buzzed. It is awesome. Solomon

  744. is correct. 400. Look at that. They just came

  745. way from behind. All right. I think we only have

  746. one question left. One tiny little question left.

  747. Who is Caiaphas? He became king over all Israel

  748. for 40 years. Awesome. Who is David? Who is David

  749. is correct. A good ending for you all. But Yarn

  750. Busters will take the day. Congratulations. All

  751. right. So we'll probably do this again and someone

  752. will operate this part of it next time so I don't

  753. have to because that was really hard. Yeah, probably.

  754. But you won't be able to be answering questions

  755. then. All right. Thank you very much. I enjoyed

  756. that. We're going to pray together. I have hot

  757. zots. Famously fizzy, fiery candies. Say that

  758. five times fast. Famously fizzy, fiery candies.

  759. For anybody who would like some. Okay? Everyone

  760. can try them. I'm going to pray together first.

  761. Let's pray together. Father in heaven, as we

  762. bring to a close this lengthy study, it's been

  763. a lot. There's been a ton of information. And

  764. pulling out questions that I asked wasn't easy.

  765. And asking them correctly wasn't easy. And certainly

  766. answering them correctly isn't easy. And we're

  767. grateful that we have such a rich history. Through

  768. David, and we learned so many lessons through

  769. him and through his being ousted from Jerusalem

  770. and then being brought back and being king for

  771. a long, long time. And even, Lord, some of the

  772. things that he did that seemed shrewd, but at

  773. the same time just seemed mean, vicious even.

  774. Like on his deathbed, ordering that Solomon would

  775. kill Joab. That's a big deal. Joab was faithful

  776. to him for a really long time, but also kind

  777. of sneaky and betraying him and manipulating

  778. him. And Joab was a murderer twice over at least

  779. that we know of. And so it does make sense. It

  780. was just justice. But those things are challenging

  781. to us, Lord. So we ask you, Lord, that we would

  782. be found faithful, that each of us would step

  783. up and do what needs to be done, that we would

  784. stand strong, even be discerning and understanding

  785. and walk as best we can by the whole counsel

  786. of the Word of God. I don't know where we'll

  787. go next, for sure. I believe you'll take us there.

  788. I believe you'll teach us something special,

  789. something exciting. I'm grateful that this technology

  790. that I discovered is available. We can use it

  791. again. And others can go on, even on our website

  792. now, and go through those Jeopardy questions

  793. and watch those. Or we might do them again by
