  1. Good morning.

  2. So, Steven is

  3. our volunteer of the week. And,

  4. wow.

  5. So,

  6. Steven does he works with the worst. He

  7. works in the booths back there. He was

  8. weren't you just ushering? Was that you up

  9. here? Okay. He's also,

  10. with the ushers

  11. and, and he's part of the men's team

  12. too, men's ministries team. So so, yeah, Steven

  13. does a lot. We like that. We like

  14. when people do a lot. So,

  15. so I I have a question. I always

  16. ask this around this time of year.

  17. How many how many like the weather outside

  18. right now?

  19. I do. I love it. This is like

  20. my favorite.

  21. I like cool, cloudy, drizzly.

  22. I don't like all those fake sunshiny days

  23. when they give you a not accurate outlook

  24. on what life is.

  25. I like this

  26. right here.

  27. I'm

  28. mountain biking, I really like, misty rainy. That's

  29. the best because you're getting hot, you're sweating

  30. all this stuff. I'd rather I'd rather not

  31. do that. So, yeah, it's

  32. few days here. We had, General Flynn here

  33. with the, human trafficking, conference that we did

  34. Friday night, all day yesterday. It was it

  35. was just great.

  36. It was powerful, extremely

  37. informative.

  38. A lot of lot of different people and

  39. a lot of different,

  40. places, spaces within the the concept of rescuing,

  41. kids and and also adults, by the way,

  42. from human trafficking.

  43. And then, those that do after care and

  44. just just the whole gambit of stuff with

  45. this. It was I I've been in this

  46. space for a long time.

  47. I've done the training,

  48. the, the training to recognize,

  49. kids being trafficked. I've done all this stuff,

  50. And I still learned from every single aspect

  51. of this thing,

  52. who's who's doing what out there and how

  53. they're doing it. And

  54. and, and then just also a good sense

  55. of

  56. we've got to care about this. We've got

  57. to care about,

  58. kids that are being trafficked.

  59. And and I've run bills at the house.

  60. I've done,

  61. all kinds of things. Of course, none nothing

  62. I ever do

  63. comes to fruition in the house. But

  64. but

  65. but this is an important

  66. important place. And so,

  67. we also got to watch the movie yesterday,

  68. Into the Light.

  69. The director producer was here

  70. to,

  71. to show us the movie and then explain,

  72. and they did a panel afterwards discussing this.

  73. And basically, this is if you're interested, you

  74. can scan the QR code. This is you

  75. have to pay something to watch it. But,

  76. but it's about how,

  77. everything is,

  78. everything that's going on manipulate

  79. is manipulating us.

  80. The, everything, every social platforms, Hollywood, all this

  81. stuff. I mean, they show how they're doing

  82. this, how they're spinning things, how they're telling

  83. you certain amounts of information

  84. or completely wrong information. And they go over

  85. and it's it's just a lot of information,

  86. a lot of good stuff in there. And,

  87. so if you're interested in that, we can

  88. also make sure that you that you have

  89. access to that at some

  90. at some time in the future too. But

  91. it was just a good weekend.

  92. And I really enjoyed getting to,

  93. to meet General Flynn. We've been,

  94. connected some with some of the stuff that,

  95. he he's posted some of my

  96. videos from the house and things, but I

  97. actually got to sit down and talk to

  98. him. He's just a really,

  99. really nice guy. I really enjoyed getting to,

  100. know him a little bit.

  101. And now, you know, I can I can

  102. say I know General Flynn? So there's that

  103. too. So

  104. we're buddies.

  105. Okay. So,

  106. I I do want so last Sunday, I

  107. mentioned of course, I've been mentioning this a

  108. lot,

  109. but I talked about,

  110. I I mentioned before service, before I jumped

  111. into this, that,

  112. that, they cannot

  113. by they, this is not Democrat, Republican. This

  114. is a lot bigger than that. This is

  115. kind of the powers that be in our

  116. country. They cannot allow Trump to get to

  117. the White House. They cannot do it. And

  118. you guys know, no matter which way this

  119. comes out in November, our our country's going

  120. to explode.

  121. BLM's already been putting stuff online, putting a

  122. lot of information out there, and attached to

  123. Antifa

  124. that they're gonna tear they're gonna burn this

  125. country down if Trump gets in the White

  126. House.

  127. Well, if

  128. if Kamala gets in the White House, the

  129. the rest of the country knows this is

  130. a big fat lie.

  131. And what are the what is gonna happen

  132. then?

  133. Right? So I don't know. It's gonna be

  134. crazy. But but even after I said that

  135. last Sunday,

  136. what, 2 hours later, there was another

  137. attempt on his life, another assassination attempt, and

  138. then 2 more this week. 1 where there

  139. was a bomb in a car

  140. that, was right

  141. near the,

  142. the group of cars

  143. that drive with President Trump in them. And

  144. they found that before

  145. the the entourage got to there. And then

  146. he was at a speech in Arizona and

  147. a and a group of people at the

  148. front were sitting there. And all of them

  149. immediately got sick, started throwing up. Some of

  150. them passed out and all this stuff. And

  151. so they they, you know, take Trump out.

  152. But they had been exposed to some kind

  153. of gas that was up there at the,

  154. front of the speech. Guys, this isn't this

  155. is not gonna stop. I've I've been saying

  156. this. This is not gonna stop. There we

  157. have crossed a line in our country where

  158. this is okay.

  159. The media is blaming Trump

  160. on his own assassination

  161. attempts

  162. because he's not he's not bringing his speech

  163. down, his rhetoric down. In other words, you're

  164. saying things we don't like. You're speaking truth

  165. and we don't like that and so we're

  166. gonna kill you.

  167. This is where we've come to in our

  168. country. This is disgusting.

  169. It doesn't matter which,

  170. party affiliation you are. This is not okay.

  171. This is beyond the pale and this is

  172. not what made our country.

  173. This is not who we are.

  174. I just strongly encourage you. I think that

  175. the greatest

  176. thing we can do at this point is

  177. truly pray. I mean really seek God for

  178. our country, not just our God protect Trump,

  179. but really pray for the soul of our

  180. country.

  181. We're in a in a very bad place.

  182. With all of that said, the last thing

  183. that I wanted to mention,

  184. I was very excited to see all of

  185. the stuff happening in Israel

  186. and actually mostly in Lebanon,

  187. this last week.

  188. I didn't know you could do this stuff.

  189. I didn't know you could make pagers blow

  190. up.

  191. This is absolutely amazing.

  192. And they're only

  193. blowing up on Hezbollah

  194. leaders.

  195. That is absolutely phenomenal.

  196. These Israelis are absolutely geniuses.

  197. Then all of a sudden, cell phones started

  198. blowing up. Then

  199. walkie talkies

  200. started blowing up. So then all the Hezbollah

  201. leaders are like, we should not be using

  202. technology. So let's get together in a group

  203. and just talk personally.

  204. And the Israelis were like, are they all

  205. there? Okay. Boom.

  206. Blew that place up.

  207. This is this is what should always happen

  208. to terrorists. This is absolutely amazing. I have

  209. been a little shy of answering my phone

  210. this week.

  211. Absolutely phenomenal. And, and this is they're scared

  212. to death

  213. they're scared to death to get near anything.

  214. Pretty soon, they're I mean, somebody's going to

  215. be at morse code. Boom.

  216. That's going to blow up. So, alright. I

  217. I wanna I wanna look at something this

  218. morning. I think it's

  219. So I spoke 2 weeks ago.

  220. I spoke about the rapture.

  221. Okay?

  222. And,

  223. now I'm not going to revisit that really

  224. this morning. I know that I I do

  225. love to preach about that. I am pre

  226. tribulation rapture. I know that some of you

  227. in here, and

  228. you're post trib, stuff like that. But what

  229. ifs? But I do want I do want

  230. to look at the bigger subject because it's

  231. not necessarily about the rapture. Okay. Let's kind

  232. of take that

  233. the table. Alright? But this is one of

  234. the arguments that I I have for pre

  235. tribulation rapture is what I brought out 2

  236. weeks ago in in Matthew 24, and I

  237. wanna take this into this week,

  238. is the idea that, Jesus himself says that

  239. that,

  240. before

  241. the rapture, he doesn't use that term, but

  242. before the rapture,

  243. there

  244. the earth is going to look like the

  245. days of Noah.

  246. And he does not say,

  247. evil like the days of Noah. What he

  248. says is which is which is true. That's

  249. got to be included. Right?

  250. Because of the whole everything that follows. But

  251. what he says is that there's gonna everybody's

  252. gonna be living life as normal, and there's

  253. gonna be partying

  254. and marrying and things like that. And he

  255. says, and you won't be ready. They were

  256. not ready. I'm getting ahead of myself. They

  257. were not ready for the flood. But Noah

  258. had been telling them for a 100 years.

  259. But they weren't ready for the flood. Why?

  260. Because they were just living normal life. There

  261. was nothing,

  262. there was nothing urgent. That's part of my

  263. argument with why it can't be mid or

  264. post trib because you're going to have been

  265. in the tribulation.

  266. There is urgency. There is, oh no, we're

  267. in the tribulation. So that somehow it could

  268. sneak upon you.

  269. I just don't think that fits theologically. Okay?

  270. But let's let's

  271. let's let's look at this without the

  272. the the trying to figure out when the

  273. rapture takes place.

  274. But let's look at the fact that Jesus

  275. says,

  276. you're not going to you're not just like

  277. they weren't ready for the flood, you're not

  278. going to be ready for the rapture.

  279. Because you're gonna be living life as usual.

  280. The partying I don't think there's gonna be

  281. a lot of parties in the tribulation.

  282. Partying,

  283. giving in marriage, all this other kind of

  284. stuff.

  285. That

  286. gets me with this with the church mentality,

  287. as I think that I don't think the

  288. church has a sense of urgency about it.

  289. I'm saying the church across America, we just

  290. don't have a sense of urgency. And there's

  291. some things that are tied to that urgency.

  292. It's, this is this is one of the

  293. reasons that I to me, I think the

  294. church needs to to be preaching a rapture

  295. mentality

  296. sense of urgency. You don't know Jesus himself

  297. says, you don't know when this is gonna

  298. happen. It's gonna happen instantly. It's gonna happen

  299. suddenly. And and even though you have been

  300. told about it, you're just partying it up.

  301. On actual stuff. I feel like that's where

  302. the church is at. We're just kind of

  303. going through the motion to party and we're

  304. doing marriages.

  305. We're doing all this stuff.

  306. But there's not a sense of urgency on

  307. a few things. There's not a sense of

  308. personal urgency.

  309. There's not a,

  310. there's not a,

  311. urgency for the lost.

  312. Doesn't

  313. exist anymore, which kind of makes sense though,

  314. because if you have an urgency for the

  315. lost, then there has to be something driving

  316. that urgency.

  317. Rapture mentality, or the reality that is for

  318. all of us that take the rapture off

  319. the table. So let's say God came

  320. to you right now and said,

  321. you, I'm not coming back during your lifetime.

  322. When is that?

  323. When is your lifetime

  324. over?

  325. Let let me read a couple of scriptures

  326. to you. Romans chapter 10

    Romans 10:13

  327. verse 13. For everyone who calls on the

  328. name of the Lord will be saved.

  329. This is this is a part of what,

  330. people have called the Romans road over the

  331. years. But but ask yourself this question.

  332. What does this sentence mean? What are the

  333. elements of this sentence?

  334. Everyone who calls on the name of the

  335. Lord. First, what does that mean to

  336. you? Because it means different things to different

  337. people.

  338. And then it says, everyone who calls on

  339. the name of the Lord will be saved.

  340. What does that mean to you? What is

  341. saved mean to you?

  342. How do you define saved?

  343. I I've I've mentioned this over the last

  344. 3 years, a statistic I read 3 years

  345. ago from Barna Research that says from Gen

  346. z. Okay?

  347. It actually was a little bit

  348. older than that too. But but let's say

  349. Gen z,

  350. that over 60% of all of the the

  351. the gen z generation, and this was basically

  352. like 30 and under

  353. for the statistics,

  354. that 60% of all of the the people

  355. within that age group that are Christians,

  356. that declare themselves to be Christians,

  357. believe that it is morally wrong.

  358. This is this is important, the wording.

  359. That it is morally wrong

  360. to tell other people about Jesus

  361. because they have their own religion and that

  362. would be proselytizing.

  363. So let me ask the question.

  364. What does saved mean?

  365. Do we really believe that this is a

  366. a,

  367. a big enough issue to cause concern within

  368. our spirit, our minds, our hearts,

  369. our lives?

  370. Should it should it cause anything to happen?

  371. John 316,

  372. this is how God loved the world. He

  373. gave his one and only son that everyone

  374. who believes in him will not perish,

  375. but have eternal life. What does perish mean

  376. to you?

  377. What does eternal life mean to you? Why

  378. would Jesus himself,

  379. God of the universe, the Word,

  380. the the one that is the Word itself

  381. at,

  382. creation.

  383. What why would Jesus himself take on human

  384. flesh to die for us? Because the word

  385. perish

  386. is a very important word.

  387. And in Romans 2, when it says that

  388. you will be saved,

  389. saved from what to what,

  390. for what reason, purpose, all this kind of

  391. stuff. See, this is the thing is you

  392. have to be able to answer this for

  393. yourself.

  394. And this this demographic that is saying that

  395. it is morally wrong to tell other people

  396. about Jesus, they have not answered it scripturally,

  397. or they wouldn't be thinking that way.

  398. Jesus says that he is the way, the

  399. only way,

  400. truth and the life that he is the

  401. only way to God the father. Without Jesus,

  402. there is no salvation.

  403. So it doesn't matter. If you really believe,

  404. if you really believe that Jesus is the

  405. only way to God, then that means all

  406. the other options are not real. They're not

  407. true.

  408. They're they're false religions.

  409. You say, well, no. I believe that that

  410. all the other religions have validity too. Then

  411. then somewhere you're you're off track with what

  412. the Bible says and you need to reinvestigate

  413. this.

  414. Because this is where we this is where

  415. we are as a country within the church.

  416. We are not telling people the truth. We

  417. are not living the truth. We are not

  418. displaying

  419. the truth. And so therefore, there's any,

  420. a myriad of options

  421. to get to God the father. There's a

  422. myriad of options for eternal life and all

  423. these other things. That's not true. If if

  424. Jesus dies on the cross so that we

  425. won't perish, if he himself

  426. is the necessity

  427. to keep us from perishing

  428. so that we can have eternal life, then

  429. we need to know what that perishing means

  430. and we need to know what that eternal

  431. life means.

  432. Or

  433. or what's the point of this thing?

  434. This is this is why I believe there's

  435. not an urgency within the church and why

  436. the church at large

  437. is not concerned anymore about witnessing. We don't

  438. have problem inviting people. In fact, they encourage

  439. that.

  440. I I I talked to a guy the

  441. other day that had been to a church

  442. and he said that this church was giving

  443. bonus bucks to people that brought guests.

  444. And I'm like,

  445. excuse me.

  446. I have lots of questions.

  447. Bonus bucks

  448. for what?

  449. Are these heavenly bonus bucks?

  450. You get toward the front of the line

  451. in eternity. I don't that was weird to

  452. me that I think it's like for their

  453. gift shop or something, but I'm I I

  454. don't know.

  455. Just seemed a little strange to me. But

  456. but here's the thing guys, if we're not

  457. actually about people getting saved, what's the point?

  458. What's the point of this whole thing?

  459. Benefits to that, but I don't mean this

  460. pejoratively, but look around the room. Is this

  461. the social group you've chosen?

  462. You got me? All right. So here's the

  463. thing. Guys, what are we saying when we're

  464. saying being saved

  465. Guys, what are we saying when we're saying

  466. being saved?

  467. Alright.

  468. Let's go to John chapter 4.

    John 4 chapter mention

  469. See this is, this is interesting to me

  470. is again, let's take the rapture off the

  471. table.

  472. How long

  473. Yeah. I don't want to. That's not

  474. But but how long do you have left

  475. in life?

  476. Alright. I'm gonna I'm gonna drill down here

  477. quite a bit. I'm not trying to to

  478. scare you but I'm actually okay with that

  479. if it happens.

  480. But how long is your life Like I

  481. said earlier, if God says to you, I'm

  482. not gonna come back during your lifetime. That

  483. could be the the day after tomorrow.

  484. You you understand what I'm saying?

  485. And tomorrow is your last day. But he's

  486. he's promised he'd not come back during your

  487. lifetime.

  488. How long how long do you have on

  489. this earth?

  490. James chapter 4 verse 14.

    James 4:14

  491. How do you know what your life will

  492. be like tomorrow?

  493. Your life is like the morning fog.

  494. It's here a little while then it's gone.

  495. And I do want to thank the Lord

  496. for the illustration.

  497. He's he's working well with me.

  498. Verse 15,

  499. guys

  500. what you ought to say is if the

  501. Lord wants us to, we will live and

  502. do this or that.

  503. I think that's important the way he says

  504. it. He says, my life is like a

  505. vapor. It's it's here today. It's gone tomorrow.

  506. But what we should be saying is, God,

  507. you're the one who determines my life. Not

  508. just if I'm alive,

  509. but what I'm doing.

  510. Do this or that. What I am doing

  511. with my life

  512. This is where we have

  513. in our American culture, you know, we get

  514. up, we go to work, we go home.

  515. We get up, we go to work, go

  516. home. And if you're not careful, what happens

  517. is the routine or the mundane of life

  518. can, lure you into kind of a, a,

  519. can lure you into kind of

  520. a,

  521. a sleep,

  522. a laziness.

  523. I think even without trying to.

  524. There's not an urgency in our spirit.

  525. And so we can go to work with

  526. somebody year after year after year. We know

  527. they're not a Christian. We know that they

  528. don't have a relationship with Jesus. But it's

  529. there's not an urgency in our spirit to

  530. do something about it,

  531. have a conversation, do something.

  532. Somewhere there has to be an urgency.

  533. Why?

  534. Because

  535. how long are you gonna be alive?

  536. How long are they gonna be alive?

  537. I I,

  538. I,

  539. I had

  540. a meeting with somebody this week,

  541. and this is a political stuff, and we're

  542. trying to set some things up. And he

  543. was telling me, he said, did you hear

  544. and so I'll ask you the question. Did

  545. you hear about the motorcycle wreck on I

  546. 25 this last week? Anybody hear about that?

  547. It was on the news, all this kind

  548. of

  549. stuff. This was interesting. He said his wife

  550. was driving

  551. their van

  552. right beside

  553. this motorcycle wreck. He said, this is what

  554. happened. This is her she watched the whole

  555. thing. She was the person directly beside,

  556. the guy that died on the motorcycle.

  557. Okay.

  558. There was a car coming down I 25

  559. the other on the other direction going northbound.

  560. She was going southbound.

  561. And tire came off of the car,

  562. ran through the median, hit something in the

  563. median, bounced up in the air.

  564. She said she's watching this happen, and she

  565. thinks it's gonna hit her van.

  566. K. It goes up and it and it

  567. goes over all of this. Like, 20

  568. something, 30 something motorcycles all riding together.

  569. Goes over all of the motorcycles until it

  570. hits the very back

  571. guy on the motorcycle.

  572. It hit him square right here.

  573. Instantly killed him, instantly. And he said, this

  574. is where it got so weirdly, spiritually bizarre.

  575. He said,

  576. it killed him. He just

  577. laid back on the motorcycle dead, instantly dead,

  578. laid back on the seat on his motorcycle.

  579. She's now worried because that motorcycle is not

  580. being driven.

  581. K.

  582. The motorcycle didn't veer, didn't stop. It just

  583. kept driving straight down the middle of the

  584. lane,

  585. slowed down, slowed down. She's braking this time,

  586. so she's getting slower faster at a quicker

  587. rate. And so the motorcycle is still slowing

  588. down, slowing down,

  589. slowly pulls over to the shoulder

  590. and then just stops against the guardrail and

  591. kind of leans over onto the guardrail.

  592. The guy is laying back on his back

  593. dead the whole time.

  594. She's and when he's telling me this, he's

  595. tearing up because he said, God did that.

  596. How does that happen?

  597. And he said, God protected my wife and

  598. my kids in the van right beside the

  599. motorcycle.

  600. That guy didn't get up that morning saying,

  601. I think I'm gonna ride my motorcycle and

  602. this is the last day of my life.

  603. He didn't say that.

  604. He wasn't thinking that.

  605. Guys, I we there has to be a

  606. moment. There has to be some times I

  607. don't believe it's a moment. I believe it's

  608. moments in our life

  609. when we realize,

  610. our own mortality.

  611. That we're limited.

  612. Do we have a certain amount of time

  613. on this earth? And even if you live

  614. it out to the way Psalm says 70

  615. or 80 years, that's a long time. We've

  616. You know, a lot of people live past

  617. 80 years nowadays.

  618. Right? But that's still not very long.

  619. And as I get older, I'm recognizing that.

  620. I'm realizing how short

  621. life

  622. is, how how this little

  623. bleep of time

  624. What are we doing with it?

  625. What are What's happening in Luke chapter 16?

    Luke 16 chapter mention

  626. I,

  627. was thinking about this the other day.

  628. So my mother passed away 4 years ago

  629. this

  630. this summer, this last summer.

  631. Do you know the rapture is basically irrelevant

  632. in that context?

  633. Didn't matter when the rapture is gonna happen.

  634. She died 4 years ago.

  635. Doesn't doesn't matter

  636. when the rapture is gonna happen for that

  637. guy on the motorcycle.

  638. He died last Friday.

  639. Rapture is irrelevant to that point.

  640. But there needs to be an urgency because

  641. of this thing we call life

  642. and death.

  643. And again, it just feels like we just

  644. don't have

  645. this urgency in the church. I think part

  646. of it's because,

  647. well, there's no heaven. There's no hell.

  648. There's no sin.

  649. There's no right or wrong.

  650. This is just about going to church.

  651. Well, if those things are true, then what's

  652. the There is no urgency.

  653. There is no urgency. Look in Luke chapter

    Luke 16 chapter mention

  654. 16. Okay? Now let me throw this out

  655. here before I jump into this. Jesus tells

  656. us a lot of parables in scripture. Okay?

  657. When he tells us a parable, it is

  658. it is got a certain parameter built into

  659. it that lets you know it's a parable.

  660. Sometimes, he literally says he's gonna tell us

  661. parables.

  662. Right? But

  663. when there are names

  664. in the stories, they're not parables.

  665. They're stories.

  666. They're true stories

  667. about real people.

  668. And the people of the time frame

  669. would have known who these people are.

  670. That's why we know they're not parables.

  671. Okay.

  672. Alright. This is a true story that Jesus

  673. is telling. This is not a parable.

  674. Jesus said, there was a certain rich man

  675. who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine

  676. linen

  677. who lived each day in luxury.

  678. At his gate lay a poor man poor

  679. man named Lazarus. This is not the Lazarus

  680. of Mary and Martha and Lazarus. Okay. It's

  681. a different Lazarus.

  682. At his gate lay a poor man named

  683. Lazarus who was covered with sores.

  684. As Lazarus lay their longing for scraps from

  685. the rich man's table, the dogs would come

  686. and lick his open sores. I'm glad he

  687. included that in the story.

  688. Finally, the poor man died and was carried

  689. to the angels to sit beside Abraham at

  690. the heavenly banquet. This is before,

  691. God's giving us,

  692. access to,

  693. Jesus has not died on the cross yet.

  694. After Jesus dies on the cross, when you

  695. are separate from this body, you are present

  696. with Christ. You're merely with Jesus Abraham's bosom.

  697. This is before this. This is why, if

  698. you just want to study this stuff out,

  699. this is why in, in,

  700. chapter, Matthew chapter 25, I think it is,

    Matthew 25 chapter mention

  701. or maybe 26. I think it's 25.

  702. When it says, after Jesus dies on the

  703. cross, the graves open up and they could

  704. see the saints walking. That's part of that

  705. understanding. Abraham's bosom, all that kind of stuff.

  706. Okay. Now, with that,

  707. the rich man also died

  708. and was buried and he went to

  709. the place of the dead.

  710. There,

  711. in torment, he saw Abraham in the far

  712. distance with Lazarus at his side.

  713. Okay. So you've got

  714. you got the place of the dead and

  715. you've got Abraham's bosom is what it's called.

  716. And,

  717. so Lazarus goes to Abraham's bosom

  718. and the rich man goes to the equivalent

  719. of hell. Alright. This isn't the hell. This

  720. isn't the fullness of hell that we see

  721. in Revelation at the end where he throws

  722. Satan and,

  723. the the devil and his angels, all that

  724. kind of stuff, but this is that place.

  725. Okay?

  726. Alright. Now with that being said and the

  727. the reason I say all of that is

  728. because I guys, I hear all the time

  729. from people. I hear from Christians. I hear

  730. from church leaders. I I see where guys

  731. write this stuff in books. These are pastors

  732. and theologians

  733. that say that there is no such thing

  734. as hell, that that is a creation of

  735. the church. It's not a biblical understanding.

  736. Hell is described

  737. many times in scripture. Different descriptions of it.

  738. Different aspects of it. But it is a

  739. very real thing. But see, here's where the

  740. church is at. If the church does not

  741. believe there's hell, then what are you being

  742. saved from? What are you being saved to?

  743. Right? And it's interesting. They all believe in

  744. heaven.

  745. That's the part that irritates me. You're getting

  746. heaven from the same book that hell comes

  747. from.

  748. Why do you just choose 1? Well, because

  749. heaven's a lot easier, isn't it? Yeah. It

  750. is.

  751. But there really is such a thing as

  752. hell. And and the more the church tries

  753. to sideline that or disassociate,

  754. or I think just kind of erase it

  755. from the story. Guys, it

  756. comes back to then what is Jesus dying

  757. on the cross for? Because if it's just

  758. to give us a little bit better life

  759. on this earth, and then we're all just

  760. going to get there anyway,

  761. then why would Jesus himself die? Couldn't he

  762. have sent something else like an angel?

  763. Why would the son of God himself, God

  764. in human flesh need to die? It's because

  765. this is the utmost of importance and he

  766. is literally saving you and I from the

  767. clutches of Satan himself

  768. in hell.

  769. And we don't like to say that in

  770. the church nowadays,

  771. but that's just reality.

  772. When when when you come across somebody that

  773. says there is no hell, I would I

  774. would this would be a one of the

  775. ways you could approach this. Say, if I

  776. brought you a bunch of scriptures that prove

  777. that there is a hell, would you believe

  778. it?

  779. From the Bible, many sentences

  780. that show and describe hell, would you believe

  781. it? Because this is the thing that gets

  782. me is I don't think they I think

  783. they don't believe it because of a choice,

  784. not because of what scripture says.

  785. They're just hoping it's not real because it's

  786. easier that way. You can do whatever you

  787. want.

  788. Doesn't matter what you say.

  789. Doesn't matter what you do. Doesn't matter what

  790. you think. Doesn't matter where you go. What

  791. you're what you're involved with doesn't matter.

  792. Because I mean we're kind of all gonna

  793. get there anyway.

  794. And then you got the group that says

  795. I'd rather be in hell with my friends.

  796. I'd rather party in hell. I I heard

  797. that so much when I was a teenager.

  798. Other, I'd rather party in hell with my

  799. friends than go to heaven with with all

  800. those church people.

  801. You're an absolute moron.

  802. That that makes no sense.

  803. Why? Because we don't really understand. And if

  804. we do, we don't really believe

  805. in our soul, in our heart, or we're

  806. choosing not to. Look what he says. The

  807. rich man's shrouded

  808. The rich man shouted,

  809. father Abraham have some pity. Send Lazarus. All

  810. of a sudden he cares who Lazarus is.

  811. Lazarus has been sitting at the gate, been

  812. walking by him every day for years. Doesn't

  813. care who Lazarus is. All of a sudden

  814. Lazarus is important.

  815. And people say, hell is not a real

  816. thing.

  817. Difference is is if I'm a Christian, I

  818. belong to Jesus, then I have it's not

  819. it's not in reference to me.

  820. Right. I worry about hell if I don't

  821. belong to Jesus, or I worry about hell

  822. for my friends and family that don't know

  823. Jesus.

  824. That's where that's where it gets Here's your

  825. first. He says, just the tip of his

  826. finger and water and cool my tongue. I

  827. am in anguish in these flames.

  828. And and let me throw this out too.

  829. Even if somehow you think this is a

  830. parable, which I don't but it's okay I

  831. guess if you do. If you think this

  832. is a parable, Jesus is not making stuff

  833. up that's not true in parables.

  834. He's telling truth in parables.

  835. Okay?

  836. Abraham said to him, son, remember that during

  837. your lifetime you had everything you wanted and

  838. Lazarus had nothing.

  839. So now he is here being comfort and

  840. you are in anguish. Now I do wanna

  841. think I I have to say this. I

  842. do think this is important.

  843. Being poor

  844. does not give you access to heaven.

  845. That's not what Jesus is trying to say

  846. here. K? Does does the Lord have,

  847. special compassion on poor people? Yeah. He says

  848. this all through scripture. And as Christians, we're

  849. also care supposed to care about poor people,

  850. right?

  851. Take care of the widows and the orphans.

  852. This is scriptural stuff. Sometimes we get so

  853. involved in our own materialistic direction and gains

  854. that we forget there are people that go

  855. without stuff.

  856. Right? Now, I I have found that there

  857. is actual

  858. crazy abject poverty around the rest of the

  859. world, not so much in America.

  860. It does exist in America, but it's a

  861. different kind of poverty. And if you've ever

  862. been anywhere else around the world, you know

  863. the difference.

  864. Okay?

  865. But but this idea that somehow that Lazarus

  866. has that that's how he got to heaven,

  867. that's how he's standing there beside Abraham, that

  868. is not not because he's poor,

  869. because he knew

  870. God. He had a relationship with God.

  871. And and the rich man's not in hell

  872. because he's rich.

  873. Right?

  874. These things are natural directions that show attitude

  875. of life and stuff like that, which could

  876. lead to that. But it's not it's not

  877. a given. If you're rich, you go to

  878. hell.

  879. I I've actually heard people say that over

  880. the years.

  881. There's and they take from the scripture, it's

  882. more difficult for camel to go to the

  883. eye of the needle than a rich person

  884. to get to heaven. That means all rich

  885. people are going to hell.

  886. I don't think that's what that says.

  887. Right? But we do things like that. Right?

  888. So

  889. he says,

  890. and besides there's a great chasm separating us.

  891. No one can cross over to you from

  892. here. No one can cross over to us

  893. from there.

  894. This is important too. That seems like a

  895. little casual statement. But there's mentalities nowadays that

  896. are being taught in the church that hell

  897. is rehabilitative,

  898. and that after a while you'll work your

  899. way to

  900. heaven.

  901. There's no bridge from hell to heaven. Okay?

  902. Hell is not rehabilitative.

  903. It's never designed that way. It is it

  904. is literally

  905. eternal torment and punishment

  906. because you chose something besides Jesus.

  907. He gives you opportunities, but you choose something

  908. else.

  909. Hey. The rich man said, please father Abraham,

  910. at least send him to my father's home.

  911. I have 5 brothers.

  912. Now, he's concerned about his 5 brothers spiritual

  913. direction.

  914. I've said this at many funerals,

  915. almost every funeral I've ever done. I'll say,

  916. I can promise you one thing. I know

  917. this for sure

  918. that the person that died,

  919. that they their number one priority for you

  920. right now is that you know Jesus.

  921. No matter whether they're with Jesus or not

  922. with Jesus,

  923. their number one priority for you is that

  924. you know Jesus.

  925. This rich man's number one priority is that

  926. his brothers be warned,

  927. because he doesn't want them to end up

  928. where he is.

  929. I want him to warn them so that

  930. they don't end up in this place of

  931. torment. But Abraham said, Moses and the prophets

  932. warned them.

  933. You've been told.

  934. You've been told. And you have a whole

  935. life to live this out. You have a

  936. whole life to make this decision. Day after

  937. day after day, you make this decision. Do

  938. I serve Jesus? Do I not?

  939. Am I am I all in with Jesus

  940. or am I not?

  941. Your brothers can read what they wrote. The

  942. rich man replied, no father, amen. But if

  943. someone is sent to them from the dead,

  944. then they will repent of their sins and

  945. turn to God.

  946. Well, that happened. Moses wrote and he's dead.

  947. He told you. But here's the bigger one.

  948. Jesus,

  949. for us, Jesus actually

  950. died and came back and told us.

  951. And he's saying, but you

  952. but but I need somebody else. I need

  953. more people.

  954. This has always been the question for me.

  955. And this was this was the question for

  956. me too when I was when I was

  957. not serving Jesus, when I wasn't a Christian.

  958. I mean, I can tell you what it

  959. took for me but what what does it

  960. take what does it take for anybody?

  961. Jesus has given us the information. But here's

  962. part of what's happening is the church has

  963. been complicit in this. The the more that

  964. we do not talk about sin, the more

  965. that we do not talk about heaven or

  966. hell, the more that we do not show

  967. the reality of what this means in the

  968. bible, we are hurting people and we are

  969. we are condemning

  970. them to not knowing the ultimate truth. And

  971. so therefore, there's no urgency. There's no reason

  972. for them to need Jis. There's no reason.

  973. All they have to do is just go

  974. to church every now and then do some

  975. good things.

  976. And it's basically okay.

  977. Because that is not biblical truth.

  978. That's not

  979. reality.

  980. The reality is there that Jesus really did

  981. that on the cross for what? To cover

  982. us with his blood, forgive us of our

  983. sins, so that we turn our entire life

  984. to him.

  985. Not a little along the way,

  986. but that we belong to Jesus.

  987. That he's not just the the the originator

  988. of this thing we this religion we call

  989. Christianity, But he's actually my savior,

  990. my God, my King, my Redeemer.

  991. And according to Romans 12, I put myself

  992. up on his altar and I sacrificed myself

  993. to him.

  994. This is this is what true Christianity

  995. is.

  996. We can we can kind of go along

  997. with

  998. the the kind of the woke mentality that

  999. the church is in involved in so strongly

  1000. now.

  1001. That use

1002. the term love. I don't even think it

1003. applies here. But you love them enough to

  1004. not

  1005. hurt their feelings.

1006. But you don't love them enough to keep

  1007. them out of hell.

1008. That that makes no sense to me.

1009. That that is the opposite of what the

1010. church is supposed to be about. But I

1011. would much rather have people come to the

1012. church and give in the offering.

1013. That's the disease that the church has. I

1014. want more people in the seats and more

  1015. money.

1016. So we can't offend anybody because then they

  1017. won't come back.

  1018. That's sad.

1019. Guys, we're hurting. We're hurting the people that

1020. God said we're supposed to love. God says

1021. love God with everything. Love your neighbors yourself.

1022. When you split those 2 and you only

1023. focus on one side, neither become true.

1024. All be about God and then therefore, you

  1025. don't witness. You don't you're not ministering to

1026. others. We're just all about God. Well then,

1027. actually, you're not because then he says the

  1028. next sentence,

1029. this next law is the same as the

1030. first one. It's just as important the first

1031. one. Love your neighbor as yourself, as yourself,

1032. which means if you want to go to

1033. heaven, you should love people that much.

1034. And then churches become all about loving people,

1035. and they're not really loving God because if

1036. they love people, they would tell people what

1037. is right and wrong. They would tell them

1038. what the Bible says. They would tell them

1039. that there is life and death, and that

1040. you don't have to go to hell because

1041. if we really love them, we'll do that,

1042. which that actually comes from love for God.

1043. When we really love God, we will truly

  1044. love people. Not limitedly,

1045. not not just for us, but we will

  1046. love them to God

1047. or we're not really loving them. We're really

1048. liking them a lot. And I would even

1049. argue, how much do you really like them?

  1050. Right?

1051. Listen to Moses and the prophets, they won't

1052. be persuaded even if someone rises from the

  1053. dead. And

  1054. that's

  1055. a stark reality.

  1056. So a few things here. I've put 4

  1057. things together.

1058. The first one, hell is real.

1059. As we we've got to the church has

1060. got to come back to seeing this as

  1061. a reality.

1062. We've lost this. We don't think this is

  1063. a thing anymore. It doesn't matter.

1064. We have a very strong universalism that's invaded

  1065. the church.

1066. In other words, everybody's going to get to

1067. wherever they're going to go. Well, actually, universalism

1068. is everybody's going to get to heaven someday.

1069. Unitarianism, then that means everybody's going to get

1070. wherever they think they're going.

1071. That makes a lot of sense. We're all

1072. just going to get where we think. So

  1073. that means

1074. that when a Muslim blows themselves up by

  1075. a,

1076. a suicide vest, that they really are going

1077. to end up in paradise with 70 virgins.

1078. Everything Jesus says is not true, because he

  1079. says that's not true.

  1080. So which is it?

1081. Hell was a real thing. Revelation 20 verse

    Revelation 20:11

  1082. 11. I saw a great white throne and

1083. the one sitting on it.

1084. The earth and sky fled from his presence,

1085. but they found no place to hide.

1086. I like the fact that it says, they.

  1087. I don't think he's talking about

  1088. clouds and stuff.

  1089. Right?

  1090. Verse 12. I saw the dead. I love

1091. this sentence because he says, I saw the

1092. dead, both great and small,

1093. standing before God's throne. Well, I thought they

  1094. were dead.

1095. Uh-huh. They did die on this earth.

1096. They had a physical death.

  1097. Guys,

1098. We are every one of us in this

  1099. room, we are eternal

  1100. beings.

  1101. We are spiritually

  1102. transcendent

  1103. of this earth being.

1104. We're going to be somewhere forever.

1105. You decide. But the dead,

1106. John sees the dead standing

  1107. there.

  1108. So they died

  1109. in their life.

1110. And the books were open. I've talked about

1111. books before. Right? There's there's the book of

  1112. life and then there's other books. There's a

1113. lot of books are gonna be open at

1114. this time. K. Including the book of life.

1115. The book of life is the one that

1116. if your name is in it, the reason

1117. it's in there is because Jesus has covered

1118. you with his blood at your reach out

1119. of faith. He doesn't just do it. You

1120. have to ask for this. You have to

1121. repent of your sins, and by faith embrace

1122. Jesus covering you with his blood and making

1123. you right with God the father. Then your

1124. name is in the book of life.

1125. The other books are stuff that has done

1126. has happened in your life.

  1127. The things you've done.

1128. K? And the dead were judged according to

1129. what they had done as recorded in the

1130. books. The sea gave up its dead.

  1131. I I love this part because,

1132. I was in the navy and so that

1133. has a a navy feel to it. You

1134. know, the sea gave up its dead.

1135. In fact, 2 years ago, this was an

  1136. interesting thing. I so I I am I

1137. got ministry when I was 20 years old.

  1138. Okay?

  1139. So,

  1140. 34 years I've been in ministry.

1141. The first 15 or so years I was

  1142. in ministry,

1143. every funeral I did was a coffin

  1144. funeral.

  1145. Every single funeral.

1146. I I did not see for the first

  1147. 15 years I was in ministry, I never

1148. saw a cremation or or an urn. I'm

1149. sure they they were obviously happening, but I

1150. just didn't see that in the church setting.

1151. They were all coffins. And one of the

1152. things, and I'm not trying to be, you

1153. know, too critical here, this is just me

1154. personally, I don't like coffins open and viewing.

  1155. I've never liked that. I think that's a

  1156. that's there's a lot of cultures that have

1157. very morbid things. I think that's western culture

  1158. morbidity.

1159. It's strange to me that we do that.

1160. And I understand for closure and all that.

1161. So whatever. I just don't like to do

1162. it. And I just usually don't. Even when

  1163. I'm doing the funerals, I don't. I go

1164. stand at the head of the casket because

1165. I'm supposed to shake hands with our family

1166. and hug them and stuff as they go

1167. by. But I don't like looking in the

  1168. casket.

  1169. So I don't.

1170. But but here's the thing I noticed about

1171. 15 plus about 15 years in the ministry.

  1172. So

  1173. so 20 years ago,

  1174. is,

  1175. it began to change

1176. and we started doing more and more cremations,

1177. which which are really they're cheaper. They're easier.

1178. They're better. You can have multiple memorial services.

  1179. It's a very Cremations make a lot more

  1180. sense, in my opinion.

  1181. But either way,

1182. but then I was getting a lot of

1183. questions at that same time as we begin

  1184. to shift as a culture. I began a

  1185. lot of questions.

  1186. The question was,

1187. if we is is it is it a

1188. sin to cremate the body?

1189. Is it wrong? Is it morally wrong

1190. to cremate the body? And they get this

  1191. from, I think, 2 places. 1 is a

1192. misunderstanding of couple scriptures that talk about some

  1193. of this. But

1194. but I think that this is my opinion.

1195. I don't this is just from seeing it

1196. over the years. I think what's happened

  1197. is people got confused

  1198. because

1199. the Native Americans burned their dead.

  1200. Right?

1201. And then there was also, oftentimes, some animistic

  1202. or spiritualistic

1203. ritual that went along with that.

1204. But those are 2 different things. Burning the

  1205. dead is innocuous.

1206. The ritualistic stuff is animism or something.

1207. Okay? So I think that the church was

1208. confused and saying, coming from 150 years or

1209. 200 years before, should we be doing this?

  1210. Because

1211. way they would say it is, you know,

1212. if it's burned, what does God do with

  1213. that?

  1214. I think that's

1215. a kind of a short sighted question.

  1216. Alright?

  1217. Because then there's a part of me that's

  1218. like,

1219. well what if like they they had an

  1220. appendage cut off

1221. and they didn't keep it along with them?

1222. In other words, they didn't carry it around

  1223. the rest of their

1224. life. Does God know where it is?

1225. I mean, that's the same kind of question.

1226. The sea gave up its dead. Do you

1227. think that body goes to the bottom of

1228. the ocean and just sits there?

1229. And all the fish are like, hands off

1230. or fins off or whatever.

1231. Do you do you think

1232. Guys, it's weird how we approach it's weird

1233. how we approach things like death, and the

1234. finality of it and the and the the

1235. giving of a new body and all this

1236. other kind of stuff. It's weird how we

  1237. do this.

  1238. Right?

1239. What is what is God actually saying about

  1240. all this stuff?

1241. The Christians the people that are serving Jesus

1242. and covered with the blood are going to

1243. be given new bodies. Did you know nowhere

1244. in scripture does it say

1245. that the the sinners that

  1246. die

1247. are given a new body?

1248. Doesn't actually say that anywhere.

  1249. You should process that.

1250. And here's part of the deal. The worm

1251. that they're in fire and torment and the

1252. worm, it says that the worm eats at

1253. them and it never dies.

1254. That's why they're not given new bodies.

1255. What would be the point?

1256. Sin and disease will will get But and

1257. where did that sin and disease come from?

1258. From the Garden of Eden when they sinned

1259. and God and they asked for

1260. all the other stuff, all of the evil.

1261. They already had all the good. Now they're

1262. asking for all the evil. That sin and

1263. sickness and disease and all this other stuff

1264. is added to humanity on that day.

1265. And it's going to stay with them forever

1266. because they're still part of that system.

1267. Getting saved and being covered with the blood

1268. of Jesus pulls you out of that system.

1269. Jesus redeems you out of that system and

1270. brings you into the relationship with God.

  1271. That's what salvation is. You're not a relationship

1272. with God. You're not part of that old

1273. system. So God's gonna give you a new

1274. body. Why? Because you're gonna spend eternity with

1275. him and he doesn't want that stinky old

1276. human body with him. That's just my thinking.

  1277. I don't know. But

1278. the sea gave up its dead and death

1279. and the grave gave up their dead and

1280. all were judged according to their deeds. That's

  1281. the books.

1282. The death and the grave were thrown into

  1283. the lake of fire.

1284. This lake of fire is the second death.

1285. And anyone whose name was not found recorded

1286. in the book of life was thrown into

1287. the lake of fire with them.

1288. Satan and and his demons are thrown into

1289. the lake of fire. And if you want

1290. to go that direction with his team, that's

  1291. where you'll end up.

1292. But if you want to go with Jesus

1293. and his team, that's where you end up.

1294. But to do that, you have to surrender

1295. your life, submit your life, and and be

1296. covered with the blood of Jesus.

1297. The second thing, all of a sudden the

1298. rich man is concerned with Lazarus.

1299. The rich man is now concerned

1300. with his brothers. Maybe I should have done

1301. better. Maybe I should have done more. Maybe

1302. I should have done better. Maybe I should

  1303. have done more.

  1304. You know, I've I've sat with

1305. so many people over the years, literally in

1306. the last seconds of their life as they

1307. take their life last breath. I've been with

1308. many, many, many, many people

1309. over the years. And I've never heard anybody

1310. say something like, I wish I would have

1311. spent more time at work.

1312. I wish I'd had one more car.

1313. Never say that stuff. I

1314. wish I would have spent more time specifically

1315. with my wife, my husband.

1316. Always, I wish I would have prayed more.

1317. I wish I would have talked to my

1318. kids more about the Lord. I wish There's

1319. all this spiritual stuff that's involved. The third

  1320. thing here, guys,

  1321. you only have one

1322. life. You only have one life.

1323. How are you using it?

1324. What are you doing with this?

1325. There needs to be some urgency in the

  1326. church nowadays.

1327. There needs to be an expedience with the

  1328. gospel,

1329. some focus when it comes to, we need

  1330. Jesus now.

1331. My kids need Jesus now.

1332. There needs to be some urgency. What are

1333. you doing with the life that you've been

  1334. given?

1335. How are you spending that currency?

  1336. That time, energy, resources.

  1337. Then the 4th thing,

1338. we truly are the answer

  1339. for people.

1340. And I want to I want to put

1341. 2 sides to this. In James chapter 5,

    James 5 chapter mention

1342. the first side is we're the answer for

  1343. the prodigals.

  1344. Okay?

  1345. I I'm I don't believe in, what's called

1346. unconditional eternal security. I don't believe in that.

1347. It's another way to say it is once

  1348. saved always saved. I don't think that's,

  1349. a legitimate theological stance.

1350. In fact, I think it's actually one of

  1351. the most dangerous

  1352. manipulative,

1353. theologies that man has come up with. Is

1354. to me very, very clear. I could give

1355. you 30 other scripts, but this is very

1356. clear. And I think this one is literally

1357. for prodigals. Well, it's obviously for prodigals.

1358. Verse 19, my dear brothers and sisters,

1359. away from the truth, that means you are

1360. a Christian and then you are not. Because

  1361. you chose something else

1362. besides relationship with Jesus. But see, if we

  1363. if we,

1364. couch salvation as a prayer that we prayed

  1365. one time,

1366. not relationship, not being engaged to Jesus, to

1367. be married to him someday,

  1368. but it's just a prayer I prayed one

1369. time and shook the pastor's hand, then yeah,

1370. you can come up with some kind of

1371. theology that says that. But when it comes

  1372. to relationship,

1373. Jesus wants you in relationship at all times.

1374. He wants you waiting for the return of

1375. the bride. That's the that's the, the the

1376. parable of the 10 virgins.

1377. He wants you to be waiting for him

  1378. and ready for him.

  1379. And he says,

1380. if you wander away from the truth and

1381. and someone is brought back,

1382. you can be sure that whoever brings the

  1383. sinner back from wandering

1384. will save that person from death.

  1385. This is very clear.

1386. But it's weird how we can just pass

  1387. by this stuff.

1388. You'll save that person from death and bring

  1389. about the forgiveness

1390. of many sins. So that's the prodigal.

1391. As I think part of our responsibility as

1392. the as Christians is to tell people that

1393. used to serve Jesus, hey, you you better

1394. get your mind, your spirit right.

1395. We we we've got to be urgent about

1396. this. And then John 316 again, this is

1397. for the for the unsaved

1398. that's never been saved. This is how God

1399. loved the world. He gave his one and

1400. only son. Everyone who believes in him will

  1401. not perish,

1402. will not go to hell,

  1403. will not be destroyed,

1404. but will have eternal life. I want you

  1405. to stand with me.

1406. So my prayer for us

1407. is that that somewhere in our spirit, somewhere,

1408. we let the Holy Spirit

1409. give us a sense of urgency.

  1410. Give us

  1411. a

1412. care, a deep care for

1413. our friends and co workers and whoever

  1414. that need Jesus.

1415. Because you don't know how you don't know

1416. how many days they have left. You know

1417. how many days you have left.

  1418. Okay?

  1419. Here's what I do know.

1420. If you've got today, you've got the answer.

1421. You've got the answer for people.

  1422. Do what you can.

1423. Let's pray. Lord, we submit ourself to you.

1424. That you really are the king. We're not

  1425. the king. You are.

1426. Lord, you are our savior,

  1427. our redeemer.

1428. Jesus, you died for every one of us

1429. in this room. But lord, you died for

  1430. everyone

1431. that everyone in this room will come in

  1432. contact with this week.

1433. You died for them too.

1434. You died for our friends, our family.

1435. Lord, you died for our enemies.

1436. Jesus, you died and shed your blood so

  1437. that we could all,

1438. every one of us know you.

1439. So Jesus, stir in our hearts.

1440. Stir in our hearts right now.

1441. Lord, I wanna say like Isaiah said,

1442. here am I, send me.

1443. Lord, I believe that you have sent every

1444. one of us in this room.

  1445. You've already called us

1446. to preach the gospel, to make disciples of

1447. the nations. You've already called us.

1448. So lord, help us to respond to it.

1449. Keep your head bowed with me. I wanna

  1450. I wanna pray

1451. for you, but I want you to think

  1452. about this. So

1453. so keep your head bowed here for a

  1454. minute and focus in

1455. on this right here. I wanna do this

1456. kind of as a commissioning

  1457. moment, a commissioning time.

1458. Same way we would do with missionaries when

1459. we you lay hands on missionaries before they

1460. go out, but the same way you do

  1461. with with pastors

1462. when they're responding to the call kind of

  1463. thing.

  1464. To say,

  1465. I I need

  1466. I I want

  1467. to be sent.

1468. My heart is, Lord, send me. So I

  1469. wanna be sent.

1470. And that we can do this as a

  1471. whole body.

1472. But, right right where you are, I'm not

1473. gonna ask you to come down front or

1474. anything like that, but right where you are,

1475. if you say, I I truly want this,

1476. and I want you to really think about

1477. what you're saying if you say this,

1478. Lord, I want you to send me.

1479. I want my mind to know that. I

1480. want my spirit to know. I want to

1481. hear your voice. I want to, I want

1482. to look for those moments. I want to

1483. be responding to this call. If you can

  1484. say

  1485. completely honestly,

1486. Lord, hear my, send me. I'd like you

1487. to raise your hand. Just keep it up

  1488. for a minute.

1489. Lord, send me. Send me.

1490. Send me. Send me to who? You know,

1491. I don't know, but you know who.

1492. Some of them you may not, but most

  1493. of them you know.

1494. Lord, send me. God, you see our hearts.

  1495. Lord,

  1496. I I I pray with everything in me,

  1497. send me.

  1498. Use me.

  1499. Give me wisdom, discernment.

1500. Open my eyes that I see the moments

1501. that I don't just pass them by.

1502. I see the moments when I can talk

  1503. to somebody.

1504. Lord, let it let it jump out at

  1505. us.

1506. And all of a sudden, everything kinda slows

1507. down and we can see

1508. this is a moment that you've called me

  1509. to.

1510. I can talk to somebody. I can pray

  1511. with them.

1512. Lord, I get to tell them how much

  1513. you love them

1514. and how much you've done for them specifically.

1515. Lord give us those moments.

1516. So Lord I pray over everybody here just

1517. like Paul said to Timothy,

  1518. preach

  1519. the gospel.

  1520. Preach

  1521. the gospel.

  1522. Use us, Lord.

1523. I will preach your gospel.

1524. I will preach your word, not my word,

  1525. your word.

1526. Lord, help them to see

  1527. your love through me.

1528. I pray that for every one of us.

  1529. Lord, thank you.

1530. Thank you for being so amazing, so big.

1531. Thank you for using us. God, that doesn't

  1532. even make sense,

  1533. but you use us.

1534. Give us these moments this week.

1535. Empower us with your holy spirit.

1536. Just like the book of acts where we

1537. are ready, just like acts 4 where we

1538. pray, God, give me boldness.

  1539. Give me boldness

1540. and help me to truly care.

1541. Break my heart for your people,

  1542. your people.

  1543. Jesus' name.

  1544. Name.

  1545. Amen. Amen.

1546. I wanna encourage you with this.

  1547. It is,

1548. if you if if you're kind of stepping

1549. into this maybe for the first time ever,

1550. you can invite somebody to church. That's good,

  1551. but that's not

1552. really what I'm asking you to do.

1553. It's to try to step out there, and

1554. it's gonna be a little scary, but try

1555. to step out there and just talk to

  1556. somebody.

1557. Invite them to church if that's all you

1558. can do. That's good because they may not

  1559. like this church.

1560. Sometimes I appear to be not likable. It's

  1561. not true,

1562. but they may want to go to a

1563. different church. Okay. So talk to him about

  1564. Jesus

1565. and then maybe invite him to church. Right?

1566. You understand what I'm saying?

1567. Look for these moments. Look for these moments.

1568. Okay? Don't forget Wednesday night. To

  1569. this. Tonight, my house,

1570. the journey, if you've never been, then you

  1571. need to be

  1572. there.

1573. Just let me know ahead of time so

1574. we can make sure Linda is I'm not

  1575. going to tell you

1576. what she's making. It's one of my favorite

1577. ever favorite dishes she makes, but

1578. it does involve bacon. Yes. I'm sorry.

  1579. So guys,

1580. before noon tomorrow, let me change. Let me

1581. broaden it for this week.

1582. Sometime this week, God's gonna give you an

1583. opportunity to let somebody know Jesus loves them.

1584. Do the best you can.

1585. Tell somebody you'll change their life. You'll change

1586. your life, and no telling how many other

1587. lives. And God honor that

1588. with you. And so shake somebody's hand, tell

1589. them how glad you are that they're here,

1590. and we will see you tonight or Wednesday

1591. night. Have a great rest of your afternoon.
