  1. All right. You got your text, right, Josh? I

  2. sent you a text with the questions. Of course,

  3. it was on two pages. Did you see they're making

  4. a He -Man Masters of the Universe movie based

  5. on the He -Man cartoon? We went and saw a movie.

  6. Shout out. Thank you very much. He -Man? Yes.

  7. A movie based on He -Man. The Skeletor? Yeah.

  8. Awesome. Oh, the advertisement. Yes. I forgot

  9. we were playing that movie. I was thinking Masters

  10. of the Universe. He -Man and the Masters of the

  11. Universe. Yeah, we were tripping. Everything

  12. comes around again, you know? They should make

  13. the real -life version of Captain Caveman. Oh

  14. no, I know what you're talking about. Well, I

  15. mean, that's one. That's not too bad. That's

  16. how my dad quit, so I'm just going to go with

  17. him to the picnic. It works, I guess. But I don't

  18. want him. Oh, really? I don't want him. That's

  19. weird. Well, because that's the way Dad said

  20. it. Yeah, she said it's my place. Thank you.

  21. You didn't waste your money on it. The name of

  22. the movie is The AI. It's like they have an AI

  23. court in Los Angeles and this guy is protecting

  24. people from crime. Okay. what power I'm not sure

  25. if I'm going to be able to help with this little

  26. pantry because the way they were whipping my

  27. head around, it's kind of moving my head right

  28. now. Hello Okay, we're going to pray together

  29. and then we'll dismiss the children. Then we

  30. have some Bible study activities that we're going

  31. to do. That's our agenda today. So when we dismiss,

  32. second grade down, we'll go to the classroom.

  33. Third grade and up stays in here with me. And

  34. we've been having some fun on these nights. So

  35. we're going to have a little fun today. It's

  36. going to be different. It's been different every

  37. single time yet. This is how the Lord led me

  38. to do it. So we're going to do it. So new prayer

  39. requests. Obviously, without getting into too

  40. many details, I would encourage you to pray for

  41. Juanita. How is she going to do some life change?

  42. But she had a pretty tragic event last week that

  43. she's recovering from. She's praying for her.

  44. Can you pray for Rachel? I did not get a report

  45. about today. I don't know if you want to share

  46. or let her. It's a so -so report, so we'll just

  47. go with that for now. We'll pray for Rachel.

  48. She's nursing her heart. What's your teacher's

  49. first name? Do you know the first name? You're

  50. going to go visit somebody. Okay, anybody else?

  51. Add them in. All right, let's pray together.

  52. We're all praying together. John's saying the

  53. words, but in your head you're hearing the words,

  54. and you're saying to God whatever it is that

  55. the Lord's laying on your heart. Father in heaven,

  56. you are our all -father. Your name is hallowed

  57. there. It's recognized all throughout the heavens

  58. and all throughout the spiritual realm. We want

  59. it to be recognized everywhere on the earth.

  60. We recognize you alone are God. We submit. That

  61. means that the things that have happened in our

  62. past that we don't agree with, we recognize you're

  63. using them for your glory. You're building us

  64. up. You're creating a future. You have a better

  65. plan. You're taking us somewhere we definitely

  66. want to go. We're grateful for all of it. At

  67. the same time, Lord, we confess to you that some

  68. things that happen, we don't understand why they

  69. happen. We get questioning. Some things that

  70. need to happen, we are reluctant to let them

  71. happen or make them happen. And that's it. Some

  72. things that you want from us, we're reluctant

  73. to render, to surrender. And that's it. So we

  74. confess to you, Lord, that we need your help

  75. to deal with those things. Be forgiven. Thank

  76. you, Lord, that you brought us to this place

  77. tonight. Give us the opportunity to be here.

  78. What a beautiful time. It's a spring day, but

  79. I'm not convinced we're done with winter yet,

  80. but maybe whatever. You can do whatever you want.

  81. We're grateful. Thank you for every person that

  82. made the point of being here. Thank you for every

  83. person that really wanted to be here and could

  84. for whatever reason. Thank you for helping me

  85. personally to overcome certain barriers, for

  86. being so real to us that we know that we can

  87. lift this prayer up to you and that you're not

  88. only hearing that, but you're acting on it. I

  89. ask you, Lord, to do every request that we just

  90. made. Be with Juanita and with what she's going

  91. through and what she just went through. dealing

  92. with the temptation that's kind of in her face

  93. all the time, that you would hold her firmly

  94. and give her strength. Heal her. She repents.

  95. She runs to you. She's looking at you. And so

  96. we actually guide her, going, what we actually

  97. do is just petri, or it's a wake -up call to

  98. realize that people your same age now are passing

  99. away. Life is shorter than most people want to

  100. think. They think, well, it never happened to

  101. me. Nothing ever happens. It's never going to

  102. happen. It's going to be difficult. The truth

  103. is, it is. It happens. You've got to deal with

  104. them when they come up. When you lose loved ones

  105. and you mourn. And as long as you want us to

  106. still be here serving you, working, we pray that.

  107. we'll come to you with that. I ask you for the

  108. lessons that are prepared for tonight, that they

  109. would honor you, that we would be able to speak

  110. when we're spoken to, that we'd be able to listen

  111. to the material, really the verse, and then we

  112. would be reminded that this verse is power packed

  113. for every single one of us when we're in this

  114. room. And I know Ms. Sherry had the great lesson

  115. for the young ones. And I pray, Lord, that you

  116. would work there just the same and maybe, because,

  117. you know, we would sacrifice ourselves for the

  118. young ones. And so, Lord, it would only be one

  119. or the other. It doesn't have to be, but only

  120. one or the other. to take care of that. We need

  121. them because they have a whole life ahead of

  122. them to serve you and to give you glory. Father,

  123. help us with the things that we're facing. We

  124. pray for Rachel, we pray for Caitlin, we pray

  125. for Amalia, we pray for Erin who's stuck away

  126. out of town again. Lord, you can do it and we

  127. trust you with it. We pray all of you can do

  128. it. Okay, this time if you're in the second grade

  129. or down, you can go to the classroom with Miss

  130. Sherry. Now it risks this other person. Okay.

  131. Horses. So I'm handing out a worksheet. Right

  132. now, we are not doing anything with the worksheet.

  133. You can color on it if you really feel bored.

  134. But other than that, we're not doing anything

  135. with the worksheet yet. One, two, three. I have

  136. so many responsibilities already, I can't handle

  137. that one too. Okay, as I said, if you didn't

  138. hear me already, we are not doing anything with

  139. the worksheet just yet. We have some stuff that

  140. we're going to do first, okay? So we're going

  141. to talk briefly today about leadership or a type

  142. of leadership. I've been thinking a lot about

  143. leadership lately because people always tell

  144. pastors that they're supposed to be good leaders.

  145. I mentioned this in my sermon on Sunday that

  146. that's really not a fair assessment. So pastors

  147. are not supposed to be good leaders in the traditional

  148. sense. We're supposed to be maybe an example

  149. of what it means to be a Christian or whatever

  150. like that. In the Bible verse that we're going

  151. to read here in a second, Paul writes to Timothy.

  152. And he flips the script of the idea of that,

  153. like a lot of people think, Ariana needs one

  154. yet. A lot of people think you need decades of

  155. experience or that you need a degree or something

  156. or like that to be a leader. And Paul totally

  157. changes that up. So you're going to see here

  158. in this verse, Paul's idea of what a leader is.

  159. In this verse, he's not giving him a pep talk.

  160. He was giving him a blueprint. Does everybody

  161. know what a blueprint is? You don't even really

  162. hear that term very much anymore. But like an

  163. architectural design, a blueprint, a schematic,

  164. a layout of how things are going to go together.

  165. That's what this verse is. Okay, so let's read

  166. the verse. Anybody want to read it? It is 1 Timothy

  167. 4 .12. It's in the worksheet that I gave you

  168. on the book. 1 Timothy 4 .12. It'll seem a little

  169. familiar to you when you hear it. Probably it's

  170. not super uncommon. Going once. Who's going to

  171. read it? Me? All right. Tony, it's eight. Nice

  172. and loud. Yep. Okay. So if this is not a pep

  173. talk, like tell them, hey, do better or hey,

  174. do this and everything will be fine. If it's

  175. not a pep talk. and it's a blueprint, then you

  176. almost could take this and break it down and

  177. say, so if I want to be an example for the believers

  178. in speech, then I could make myself an A, B,

  179. C, I'm going to do this. If I'm going to be an

  180. example in speech, I'm going to be like this.

  181. If I'm going to be an example in life or in that

  182. translation or in conduct in another translation,

  183. then I'm going to be these things. You could

  184. break those things down and follow them, and

  185. then you would be what Paul is telling Timothy

  186. is a leader. So here's the five specific areas

  187. that were in the verse. I'm using the New American

  188. Standard Version, so you'll hear the word conduct.

  189. By the time we're done, we'll hear it a couple

  190. of times. How many more do you need? One? Okay.

  191. I sent one for you. It's okay. If you have an

  192. extra one back there, just hang on to it. Mr.

  193. Tim will come in eventually. Okay, so five specific

  194. areas. Speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

  195. And conduct or life, sometimes life, it's the

  196. way you live, right? So age is not on the list.

  197. In this room, we have people that are 11. Kyler,

  198. how old are you? I didn't mean to catch you off

  199. guard with that. You knew that, right? You knew

  200. you were eight? Okay, so he's eight, right? And

  201. then we have some people that are... Quite a

  202. bit older than that, okay? We'll just go there,

  203. okay? And so this is not about age. It's not

  204. on the list. You could also say education, not

  205. on the list. You could also say experience, not

  206. really on the list, right? None of those things

  207. are on the list. So integrity doesn't have a

  208. birth date. So integrity is when you're a whole

  209. person and you're functioning. It's working for

  210. you, right? So it doesn't start at a certain

  211. moment in time. Now, if you're a Christian, it's

  212. supposed to sort of start birthing then, but

  213. there's got to be somewhere along the road that

  214. you're picking up, right? So whether you're eight

  215. or 80, your life is a sermon. So let's look at

  216. how that looks in action. Okay, so Kashawn, I

  217. need you to come up here for a second. You're

  218. not going to teach, I promise. All right. Teach,

  219. teach. Okay, so what do you see in the jug? I

  220. see water. Okay, I want you to put one good -sized

  221. drop of this in that jug. Everybody watch the

  222. water for a second there, one good -sized drop.

  223. Right back up in the thing. Okay, now what do

  224. you see in the jug? I see water. Okay, and what

  225. else? I see a color. All right, what color? White.

  226. All right, so you put one drop of... this gel

  227. color in the jug. Do you see one drop now? What

  228. do you see now? Okay, so there's a great big

  229. pile down there. That's probably the one drop.

  230. Oh, yeah. It's spreading. Yeah, it's spreading.

  231. Okay, now I'll show you something. I'm going

  232. to take this highlighter, stir the jug, just

  233. stir the water up. We're waiting. Okay, very

  234. good. All right. Okay. So, as Kishan just demonstrated

  235. to us that, When you put a drop of blue inside

  236. the water, the blue doesn't stay in one spot.

  237. It only takes a drop of blue. And you can see

  238. now, if you look at this water, what do you see?

  239. It's pretty much all blue, right? And it's only

  240. going to get more so because there's still quite

  241. a bit piled up on the bottom down there. It's

  242. disseminating, spreading out through the water.

  243. And that's how it works. Whatever you bring to

  244. a situation. However you behave, and you could

  245. say however you behave in speech, in conduct,

  246. in love, in faith, and in purity, right? However

  247. you behave, but you also could say if you come

  248. with foul language, or if you come with a vindictive

  249. attitude, or if you come with an idea that you're

  250. going to get over on people, you're going to

  251. make out the best in the situation, or if you

  252. come with a desire for control, whatever it might

  253. be, whatever you bring to the situation, that's

  254. going to change the environment around you, okay?

  255. And that's what he's talking about. So, for example,

  256. if you stand up for someone who's being teased,

  257. right, that's conduct, bad conduct being perpetrated

  258. on them, you stand up for them when they're being

  259. teased, then your standing up for them is going

  260. to affect the environment. Now, it's not going

  261. to just make bad behavior suddenly go away. That

  262. bad behavior is also already in the environment,

  263. okay? So it's there. Now, when you come in and

  264. you behave a certain kind of way, you're changing

  265. the environment. So you can think of it like

  266. if someone's being mean and you come in and you're

  267. nice or gentle or kind, you're... polluting the

  268. environment which is filled with their meanness.

  269. with your gentleness and kindness. See that?

  270. And it may not turn the environment to be all

  271. gentleness and kindness. This is blue, but it's

  272. not as blue as the gel, right? Except in that

  273. little spot on the bottom. It'll disseminate

  274. through the whole thing. It'll never be so blue

  275. as to look like the blue that came out of this

  276. tube because it's not enough blue, right? But

  277. your gentleness, kindness, goodness, etc. is

  278. going to affect the whole environment around

  279. you. It doesn't stay in one spot. It spreads,

  280. even though it starts out small, one little act

  281. of kindness, one little thing that you say, one

  282. little act of love. When you live out your faith,

  283. you're not just living for yourself. Has anybody

  284. here ever had fish? Raise your hand if you ever

  285. had a fish in your house. Kyle, you had fish,

  286. didn't you? Did you guys have fish? Okay, so

  287. about half of us have had fish. Tell me something

  288. about fish water. River, go. It stinks. Okay,

  289. does it stink when you first put it in the tank

  290. or later? Yeah, later. Okay. Haley, tell me something

  291. else about fish. Fish water. Yep. Algae grows

  292. in there. And if you get too much algae, your

  293. fish have trouble unless they happen to be an

  294. algae eater. What about you, Kyler? Can you tell

  295. me something about fish water? And what about

  296. the water that you put in that? Can you just

  297. take it right out of the faucet? Or do you have

  298. to do something to it? you put it in the tank

  299. yeah so you treat fish water because city water

  300. is poisonous to freshwater fish also you acclimate

  301. the temperature of the water because you might

  302. have a warm water fish this can handle 78 80

  303. degrees but the water coming out of your faucet

  304. is not 78 to 80 degrees so if you feel if the

  305. tank gets down about a third and then you fill

  306. it all the way up with cold water now you're

  307. lowering the temperature in the tank too much

  308. for the fish to survive possibly or you might

  309. make them sick so basically when you live out

  310. your faith, you aren't just being good for yourself.

  311. You're changing the water around you to give

  312. everybody the best opportunity to survive, to

  313. give everybody the best opportunity to be their

  314. best self. You don't need to be the biggest person

  315. in the room in order to change the color of the

  316. water. We had one tiny little drop. Okay. In

  317. fact, If I had taken, Ari had just finished off

  318. her propel water. If I had taken her propel water

  319. and poured a whole cup of it in this water, the

  320. color would not hardly change at all, even though

  321. that was a cup. And the color changed almost

  322. completely to blue with just a drop, okay? So

  323. the things that you bring in, if somebody's being

  324. mean and you come in and you just be mean, they're

  325. not going to change the water at all. You're

  326. doing the same thing everybody else is doing,

  327. right? But if they're being mean and you come

  328. in and you're gentle or kind, then you're going

  329. to begin to push the water around you in a certain

  330. kind of way. of a direction so that people can,

  331. and then there might actually be somebody else

  332. in the room will go, you know, I think I'd rather

  333. be gentle and kind. And they want to go that

  334. way instead because you're changing the water

  335. for everybody when you change the water. Okay.

  336. All right. So the next part, we're going to have

  337. Ariana come up and she's going to teach the next

  338. part. I did not get my notes today. So, well,

  339. Carson really wanted to, and Sissy is supposed

  340. to be sending him in in a second so that he can

  341. pass. So, okay. We're hearing you real good,

  342. but we're going to put this on you anyway. You're

  343. doing a good job. Then I don't have to talk loudly.

  344. Go. Okay, today we're going to start with an

  345. activity, wake you up a little bit. Everybody

  346. needs to find one person next to them. So if

  347. you don't have somebody sitting next to you,

  348. feel free to move around, find somebody, find

  349. a partner. Everybody has a partner. If we have

  350. an uneven amount, then we can do three for one

  351. person. I promise nobody bites. Not ordinarily.

  352. If someone has a partner, we can move it around.

  353. Stand down here. I don't like this. All right,

  354. tell us what to do. Okay, so once we have a partner...

  355. Everyone done moving? Okay. Once we have a partner,

  356. one of you guys is going to make a silly, funny,

  357. weird face and the other one has to copy it exactly.

  358. Okay, has everyone copied their partner's face?

  359. Okay. Now we see that it's very easy to copy

  360. somebody when they're right in front of you.

  361. Okay, done. Lost my train of thought. You're

  362. doing great. Okay. Sorry about that. So now we

  363. see that when someone is right in front of you,

  364. it's very easy to copy them. So I want everybody

  365. in your mind to think of some kind of word. A

  366. word that you want people around you to copy.

  367. So you could think kindness. You want to be kind

  368. so that people around you will also be kind.

  369. So think of a word in your mind. And we were

  370. supposed to have Carson come in here. Apparently

  371. he's not in here yet. So we're going to pass

  372. out sticky notes. And everybody is going to write

  373. down their word on a... sticky note. And once

  374. we have wrote down our word on the sticky note,

  375. we are going to put it on the mirror that is

  376. outside in the hallway that Pastor Dan has gotten

  377. close and placed out there as a promise. So when

  378. we put the sticky note on the mirror, you are

  379. promising that you are going to do your best

  380. to act in this way so that people around you

  381. can reflect off it. Write your word on your post

  382. -it note, and instead go put it on the mirror

  383. and call it. Please don't pack the mirrors out.

  384. Throw them in the mirror and make a mess. Everybody

  385. got one? Something that you think would be good

  386. for people to follow your example this week.

  387. Something godly. Now if you stick it out in the

  388. back mirror, come back in. It's really hard.

  389. You can always pick speech, conduct, love, faith,

  390. or purity. They're in the verse. If you can't

  391. think of anything else, one of those will do.

  392. Okay, is everybody back in the room? All right.

  393. So don't get too comfy where you are because

  394. now we're going to get up and move. So if you

  395. are an adult, you're going to come to this section

  396. over here. If you are a teenager, you're going

  397. to come to this middle section here. If you are

  398. a child, you're going to meet by the tree. Adults

  399. over there. Teenagers in the middle. Children

  400. over there. Okay, you're with the teenagers.

  401. Josh has the adults. Okay, so what's going to

  402. happen, listen, what's going to happen is we're

  403. going to lead you briefly. Kids, be quiet. Thank

  404. you. We're going to lead you briefly through

  405. a discussion. We're going to ask three questions,

  406. and then you're going to talk about it as your

  407. group. Teenagers in the middle, adults over there,

  408. kids over here. Those who are asking the questions,

  409. once you've done that, just cue me, and then

  410. we'll get everybody back. One drop goes a long

  411. way. Perfect. Okay. So grab your worksheet that

  412. I passed out at the beginning. Okay, can you

  413. step away from that area, please? You were seated

  414. over here. I understand. You can do that after.

  415. You can take her home. We're done in 15 minutes.

  416. You can wait 15 minutes. She can wait 15 minutes.

  417. It gives me an opportunity to talk to her after

  418. anyway. Okay, so we're on the worksheet. Youth

  419. Worth Watching. Okay? So you've got three activities

  420. on this worksheet. One of them is homework. It's

  421. very easy. You can do it later. Okay? So the

  422. first thing we're going to look at is on the

  423. bottom. It is the crossword puzzle. Okay? All

  424. right? You ready? We're going to do it together.

  425. Okay? Number one down. It's the big word right

  426. down the middle. Having traits of a lack of years.

  427. Youthfulness. That's correct. That's the only

  428. really, really long word. So it's Y -O -U -T

  429. -H -F -U -L -N -E -S -S. All the way down that

  430. big long line. Youthfulness. Comes right out

  431. of the verse. Don't let anyone look down on you

  432. because you are young. Youthfulness. Okay. Choosing

  433. to act for another person. Two down. This one's

  434. a little tricky. Think about it. Two down. Four

  435. letter word. Choosing to act for another person.

  436. You could put that there, but it won't get you

  437. what you're trying to get. It's love, okay? So

  438. here's the thing. In society, love is, oh, I

  439. love tacos. They taste so good, right? That is

  440. a misuse of the word love. In the Bible, love

  441. is when you choose to act on behalf of somebody

  442. else. Jesus so loved us. God so loved the world

  443. that he sent his only begotten son. Jesus so

  444. loved us, right? So love is when you act for

  445. somebody else. You can say I love you all that

  446. you want, but if you don't act on behalf of that

  447. person, you're basically using words, not actually

  448. backing up your words, okay? Three down. On the

  449. other hand, but, it's but, B -U -T. Let me know

  450. if you're falling behind. Kyle, you got it. Writing

  451. your tense, you're writing these words in these

  452. blanks. You're a puzzle master. According to

  453. what I hear, you're really good at puzzles. Okay.

  454. Five down. Correct. Show. Josh also is a puzzle

  455. master. Josh and Kyler are puzzle masters in

  456. this room at least. Actually, I think solo is

  457. really good. Aren't you really good at puzzle

  458. solo? That's what I heard. I don't know who told

  459. me that. Okay. Seven down. Talk with your mouth.

  460. Say it again. Speech is correct, sir. Seven down.

  461. Speech. Talk with your mouth. Eleven down. Use

  462. your eyes. Did you say see? Look. It's look.

  463. Or in the... It should be 11 down. Yeah, 11 down

  464. on the left -hand side there. 11 down. Look.

  465. 13 down. Okay, the 11 down is all the way over

  466. on the left -hand side. No, the other 11 is across.

  467. Oh, it's not supposed to be 11, though. That's

  468. why. No, it says 14. Where's 11? 11 down. Where's

  469. another 11? Oh, I see it. That's weird. Okay,

  470. the one over there is actually a 1. The little

  471. one is 1 down. No, that's not right. Oh, it's

  472. 17. That's what it is. It's 17. Either I didn't

  473. write it good or it didn't copy good. 17 is a

  474. down. It is to allow. We'll do it right now so

  475. we can get it out of the way. To allow is what?

  476. Three words. 17 down. To allow. It's let. L -E

  477. -T. To let someone do something is to allow them

  478. to do something. We haven't done it yet. Okay.

  479. All right. Seven down was talk with mouth. We'll

  480. go over that one again if we need to. All right.

  481. 11 down now is on the left -hand side. Use your

  482. eyes. Look. 11 down on the left -hand side. Four

  483. letters. L -O -O -K. 13 down. So you're going

  484. to just over to the right a little bit. The opposite

  485. of up is down. Correct. Okay. 15 down. Where's

  486. 15 down at? Next to the black square. Yep. Next

  487. to the black square going straight down. 15 down.

  488. It is only right stuff all the way. Think about

  489. the verse. Now it's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 letters.

  490. Love is four letters. Purity is correct. Yep,

  491. purity. So like if you have a loaf of bread and

  492. it's got mold in it, it's not pure because it's

  493. not bread all the way through anymore, right?

  494. So purity means it's all the same stuff. If you

  495. have water and it's pure water, it's just water

  496. all the way through. But if it's got toxic chemicals

  497. in it or something, then it's not pure. Only

  498. write stuff all the way. Okay, 16 down. Correct,

  499. I think. Wait, no. 16 down. No, it's not have.

  500. Where is it at? No. Okay. I see it. It's go over

  501. from purity. It's four letters going straight

  502. down. It's your, Y -O -U -R, when you own it.

  503. It's your house. It's your car when you own it.

  504. Okay. And then 17 down to allow is let, if you

  505. didn't get that already. So you should have all

  506. the downs done. We skipped five though. I think

  507. actually it was exhibit. It is show. Yes. If

  508. you didn't get it already, I don't think I said

  509. it, but it is show. 16 down when you own it.

  510. Your. Y -O -U -R. Your house. Your car. Your

  511. butt. Your hair. Okay. Across. Four across. Something

  512. different. Four across. Something different.

  513. It's a tough one. The hardest one if you ask

  514. me. It's rather. Rather. 17 down is let. You

  515. let someone pick on you. You let someone give

  516. you a present. Okay. Four across. Something different

  517. is rather. The middle top. Rather. Or rat -er.

  518. R -A -T -H -E -R. Six. Six. Multiple. Over there.

  519. Who? Say it again. Correct. Those. Those over

  520. there. And it's kind of in the middle left. Upper

  521. left. Eight. Across. Yes. Someone has read a

  522. Bible verse at one time in their life. Faith

  523. is the correct word. Faith. Hope in something

  524. unseen. Faith. Okay. Nine. Yeah. Nailed it. The

  525. opposite of off is on. It's that tiny little

  526. word on the right -hand side there, on, okay?

  527. 10, across, one that stands out of or from. Example

  528. is correct. Right smack dab in the middle. 12,

  529. 12 across, choices and behavior. Oh, it's the

  530. furthest left box all the way to the left. It

  531. probably looks like a 17. It's a 12. Okay, anyway,

  532. so we got faith. We got on. One who stands out

  533. is an example. 12, choices and behavior. So it's

  534. all the way the furthest left box across. Say

  535. it again. Conduct. Conduct. Okay, 14 across.

  536. To take it as fact and act. Okay, it's almost

  537. in the middle. Just look down from example. Say

  538. again. No. Believe. To believe. Take it as fact

  539. and act is to believe. And then 16 across is

  540. the last one. Youth to you, yourself. Okay. Help

  541. your neighbors make sure all the blanks are filled.

  542. We're going to do it. That's the last thing we

  543. have to do. Okay. Number five, exhibit is show.

  544. We did do it. I missed it the first time through,

  545. and then I caught it later, and then RJ said

  546. we already did it. Oh, we actually have done

  547. it for sure now. Show. Okay? So now if you look

  548. at words meditation, 14 across, take it as fact,

  549. and act is believe. 16 across is you to you yourself.

  550. We got them? We good? Okay. All right. So we're

  551. going to do an example of meditation. And you've

  552. seen this example once before. So I'm going to

  553. read the verse. And we're going down the left

  554. -hand side. In the first box, I want you to put

  555. the number 2. In the very first box. And then

  556. put a dash. Put 2 dash. And what we're going

  557. to do is we're going to count the number of words

  558. in the verse that have two letters. I'll help

  559. you. It's not that hard. And I'm using the New

  560. American Standard Version. The top box on the

  561. left, you're going to put the number two and

  562. then put a dash. Zayden, are you listening to

  563. me? I'm the one talking, so you've got to listen.

  564. Two, dash. And the top box on the left -hand

  565. side under the word meditation. All right? And

  566. then we're going to read the verse. We're going

  567. to count the number of words with two letters.

  568. And I'll help you. All right? So it says, let

  569. no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather

  570. in speech, conduct, love. faith, and purity,

  571. show yourself an example of those who believe.

  572. Note four. Five. Of is five, all right? So it's

  573. two dash five, all right? Those are all the two

  574. -letter words. So you should, in that top box,

  575. you should have two dash five. And then in the

  576. big long box there, you can write no, on, in,

  577. an, and of, okay? No, on, in, an, and of. No,

  578. on, in, an, an, of. Those are all the two -letter

  579. words, okay? Now we're gonna do three -letter

  580. words. So in the next box, put three dash. You're

  581. getting the idea, I think. Okay. So it's let.

  582. That's a three -letter word. No one look down

  583. on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct,

  584. love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example

  585. of those who believe. So the answer is five.

  586. So it's three -five. And the words are what?

  587. It's not and. It's an. A -N. And is three letters.

  588. You're right, though. You got that right. Okay.

  589. There's no and in the whole verse, actually,

  590. just an and. Oh, yes, there is. There is an and.

  591. It's in the three letters. So the words were

  592. let, one, but, and, who. Now we're kind of almost

  593. kind of get, like, you kind of hear the verse

  594. a little bit. With all the three little words,

  595. you can almost kind of hear the verse a little

  596. bit. Let, one, but, and, who. Okay. Four -letter

  597. words. You get less and less. It goes faster

  598. and faster because you get less and less. All

  599. right. Four -letter words. Let no one look. Down

  600. on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct,

  601. love, faith, and purity, show yourselves an example

  602. of those who believe. So there's five again.

  603. 4 -5. I don't get it. I'm going to tell you right

  604. now what they are. Look down your love show.

  605. Well, that's what meditation is for. See, meditation

  606. makes you drill down on those things and figure

  607. it out. Let one. One is the other one. O -N -E.

  608. So you should have two, five, three, five, four,

  609. five. And the words there were look down your

  610. love show. So again, kind of hear the verse in

  611. there. Okay, the next one's pretty fast. Five

  612. letter words. Let no one look down on your youthfulness,

  613. but rather in speech. conduct, love, faith, and

  614. purity. Show yourself an example of those who

  615. believe. So faith and those. Faith and those.

  616. 5 -2. Yep. If you look at this, you can start

  617. to see patterns. Okay? Do it again. Everybody

  618. got those two? Faith and those. Six -letter words.

  619. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but

  620. rather, in speech, Conduct, love, faith, and

  621. purity. Show yourself an example of those who

  622. believe. Rather, speech, purity. 6 -3. Rather,

  623. speech, purity. As it is right now, we only have

  624. five words left in the whole verse. We've done

  625. every word of the verse except for five words.

  626. So that really tells you something. Rather, speech,

  627. purity. Conduct is seven. Is it? Yep, yeah, seven.

  628. Okay? Now seven -letter words. No, you didn't.

  629. You're meditating. This stuff happens when you're

  630. meditating, okay? Let no one look down on your

  631. youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct,

  632. love, faith, purity, show yourself an example

  633. of those who believe. Three. Three words. Seven

  634. -three. Example, believe, conduct. Now we only

  635. have two words left. Does anybody know without

  636. looking what they are? Yourself is one, so it's

  637. 8 -1. The box is 8 -1, and then the word is yourself.

  638. That leaves one word left, youthfulness. And

  639. so it's a 12 -letter word, 12 -letter word, 12

  640. -1, youthfulness. And then in the box on the

  641. bottom, you can put 25. Now, if I was doing this

  642. meditation, guess what I would do next? What

  643. would you do next? What would be the very next

  644. thing you would do? Count the total number of

  645. words in the verse and confirm that you have

  646. them all, right? So if you did this, you'd go

  647. 2 -5, 3 -5, you add it all up, you get down to

  648. 25. Then you go back to the Bible and you go

  649. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and you get to the end and you'll

  650. find there are 25 words. That means you've got

  651. them all. If you had 24 words. but the verse

  652. has 25 words, then you would go through and figure

  653. out which one you're missing. That's called meditating.

  654. By the time you're done, you know more, you feel

  655. more, you hear more, you see more on this verse

  656. than you would if you had just read it and even

  657. memorized it, even if you memorized it. So Jason,

  658. without looking at the Bible, not asking you

  659. to do it from memory, just tell me basically

  660. what does this verse say? Good, okay. So you'd

  661. be a leader through your youthfulness and your

  662. faith. That would be it, right? So if you went

  663. to somebody and said, hey, there's a verse in

  664. the Bible, I don't know, I think it's in 1 Timothy

  665. around chapter four, and it says you should be

  666. an example in your youthfulness and faith. Would

  667. you be telling the truth or lying? No, you'd

  668. be telling the truth because that's what it says,

  669. right? That would be the truth of that verse.

  670. Now, Mike, tell me in your own words, basically,

  671. just something simple. What does this verse say

  672. to you? Say it again. 1 Timothy 4 .12, the one

  673. we've been studying. Shh. What do you think,

  674. Mike? You're not sure? Okay, Holly, you give

  675. it to me. What do you think? Come on, you can

  676. do it. You don't need the whole thing. What would

  677. you do? Based on this, what are you going to

  678. do? Okay, there you go. So you can say 1 Timothy

    1 Timothy 4 chapter mention

  679. chapter 4 somewhere. There is a verse that reminds

  680. me that I need to show young people faithfulness.

  681. Would you be telling the truth? Absolutely. And

  682. you didn't get that from memorization. You got

  683. it from meditation. See it? Okay. We're done.

  684. You can write the verse just for fun if you want.

  685. You can write the verse in the Bible I did online

  686. sometime when you want to if you want to write

  687. it again. That was the only other thing. Good

  688. job. All right, let's pray together briefly,

  689. and then we'll go snacking. Father in heaven,

  690. thank you so much for the reminder to the adults

  691. that young people need a good example. Also to

  692. the reminder that we're not as old as we think

  693. we are, that there is a youthfulness to us because

  694. we're born again. So like I've been living for

  695. 55, almost 56 years, but the truth is I've been

  696. really living for just over 30 years since you

  697. saved my soul and made me born again. And I pray,

  698. Lord, that we will be an example to the young

  699. people and that we'll be a youthful example to

  700. those who are older than us. I pray that we will

  701. be. an example in conduct and in speech. And

  702. we will believe and let people see us believing

  703. because that changes the water. It changes the

  704. area around so that they also can believe. And

  705. we will be found faithful doing the things that

  706. we're supposed to be doing because that changes

  707. the water. It makes it so that people can be

  708. faithful. And they don't necessarily want to.

  709. They're struggling with their own issues. And

  710. we just pray, Lord, that we'll be able to help

  711. anybody who needs help to draw a little closer

  712. to you. At the very least, we won't be standing

  713. in the way, but be a good example through and

  714. through, from beginning to end, inside, outside.

  715. That's what we desire. We know we have a way

  716. to go, and you can take it there. We pray all

  717. this in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you very much.

  718. On the way out, take a peek at the mirror, if

  719. you would, and think about how you're going to

  720. represent those traits this week. Hi. Hello.
