Galations Chapter 6 (10/2/2024)

So,

it's continuing to kick up in Israel.

The

So here is

a possible way to look at this.

If I had to

take a stance,

this is how I would be looking at

this

is right now we have

so Iran now is is,

bombing Israel,

k, which which, by the way,

you know, Israel doesn't want that to happen.

That's not what I'm about to say.

But

Israel is kinda okay with it.

Why?

Gives them the right to say, okay, We're

gonna go after the 2 basic things in

Iran right now to make sure,

Israel is gaining an advantage.

They're gonna take out the oil filled refineries

and they're gonna take out the nuclear, which

the nuclear is the big one. Right? The

nuclear is Israel's safety.

The oil filled refiners is Iran's,

financial collapse.

Those both will be happening together. So

so,

so this is good.

200 something ballistic missiles.

This is the largest

ballistic missile barrage in the history

of the planet.

So one tiny little spot on the map

called Israel

from

Iran. It was like 25 times larger than

Israel.

And,

no Israelis were killed.

One Jordanian was killed in the process.

But,

you know, it's I I just keep thinking

of the scriptures that talk about how that

God will protect Israel.

God will cover Israel. And then somebody will

say,

well, yeah, but that's because they have the

iron dome.

Right?

Thank you, God.

Remember when

when, Reagan was trying to build a Star

Wars?

It that the Russians were scared to death

that we were going to build Star Wars.

In fact,

one of the last,

sticking points

for Gorbachev when,

him and Reagan were coming down to the

end

of all of their this was like

a few months before

the Berlin Wall was torn down.

They were back and forth back and forth.

They were going at each other and and

Gorbachev would not give up. He kept saying,

get rid

of Star Wars or we're not gonna have

any deal. Get rid of Star Wars. Get

rid of Star Wars.

And Reagan said, nope. Not doing it. We're

not gonna get rid of Star Wars because

that's the only thing that will protect us.

Did you know there was no such thing

as Star Wars when he said that?

They didn't come up with that technology good

enough. They wanted to. It was out in

the future but Russia didn't know that,

Neither did we in America. We are like,

yeah, that's right. You're not taking our Star

Wars,

Luke.

So

but, but it wasn't perfected yet. It wasn't

it wasn't we didn't have enough to to

make it happen at that time.

And, but Israel was working on at the

same time and Israel was developing it and

they actually came up with it. It's called

the iron dome.

And,

and I think that was a God gift.

I think God gave them the ability to

do all that stuff.

We we see where God prophesies

through the prophets about all these things that

are happening right now

that

that Israel will become a nation. They'll never

be destroyed again. They'll never be,

defeated and pushed out of their country again.

All these different things.

And now,

one of the largest

well, the number one largest terrorist

states in the world, the number one largest

one who has all of these proxies,

Everybody's been so scared of them. I I

don't know if you guys remember. I was

thinking about this the other day

because I'm watching all this stuff go down

in Iran.

And,

I I remember

so I so I was a kid. See,

I would have been

late junior high, early high school. And when,

the Ayatollah took over

excuse me.

When the Ayatollah took over you guys are

older. You remember that? When he came in

and took over Iran,

there was this bloodbath in the streets. Well,

that's really the first time that the average

American,

knew there was Iran.

Right? Well, I mean, we kinda knew there

was Iran, but we didn't know there was

Iran. Right? I mean, you knew it was

over there.

But all of a sudden and I remember

as a as a as a kid,

being

scared of this,

being scared of

I remember laying in bed at night scared

of Iran

and the Ayatollah

Khomeini.

I don't I don't know why. Maybe it's

just God was putting something in my head

so that it means something to me over

the years.

But I remember being scared of that and

that,

and then right right around that same time

is,

when the, marine barracks was blown over, I

think that was 1984. Does that sound right?

1984.

And all of the stuff that's going on

craziness And,

and and and God, through all of this,

we've all thought that Iran was the

big bad guy that was gonna do it.

And Israel has neutralized them almost overnight.

I just love that. I absolutely love that.

It feels the same way as

when, Glass knows remember that? Gorbachev was talking

about how powerful and strong and everything that

Russia was and how they had so much

money, and they were and they would have

Americans come over and tour,

Russia, and they would take them on certain

place. And then we found out later that

all that stuff was false. It was false

fronts.

They would paint the front of the stores

and there wouldn't even be a back to

it

because Russia was falling apart.

We didn't know that.

But then all of a sudden, we realized

Russia

is bankrupt.

And, when when

Reagan said, tear down that wall,

they didn't have a choice.

And so many people in America were scared

to death that if we push that if

if Reagan I say we because me and

Reagan were tied.

But, when Reagan pushed that, people were scared

to death,

that Russia was gonna nuke us.

But Reagan knew, he knew this was all

false, fake.

Which by the way, some of this stuff

not everything I'm talking about, but some of

it's in the Reagan movie.

stand. And so I I was just I've

I've always been a huge fan of Reagan.

I've I've read many of his biographies,

studied him a lot. I just think I

think there's every now and then,

there comes along an individual

that everything rests upon them

and they make it happen, like George Washington,

Abraham Lincoln.

And I I put Reagan in the the

same category as those 2 guys,

just me personally.

And, Churchill,

right? Margaret Thatcher, the same time as Reagan.

And she was a little bulldog and she

was right there with Reagan the whole time.

Because they fought together, they got a lot

of this stuff done. And, Churchill coming off

the the hills of Chamberlain. Chamberlain Chamberlain was

a waste.

He almost he almost put

England under Nazi control.

And, Churchill came along and said, nope, not

gonna do that. And I just I just

like those moments in history.

what have we been talking about?

Oh, I did want to mention something else.

so right now, the schools are really messed

up. Right?

Prerenter rights are being taken away all this

Guys, you understand this is on the ballot

in November.

And it's being it's being played up very

strongly by a lot of Republicans.

Republicans all over the state are bragging on

this. Oh, this is a great law. This

is gonna be great. We need to put

this into effect.

So we're gonna let,

8 year old decide what's best for 8

year olds.

When has society

ever thought that was a good idea?

Right?

Now, I've heard some people say, well, let

them move out and get their own job

and then they can make their own decisions.

But guys, there's a reason why we're parents.

They can't do that.

I said that this was 20 something years

ago. I was doing a Wednesday night service

like this and I was talking about,

that 16 year olds are not old enough

to decide,

their own life.

They're not old enough. They they they make

too many mistakes.

They're gonna compound.

Now, can they make a lot more,

decisions than an 8 year old? Sure. There's

no doubt about that. And by the time

your child is 16, you should be letting

them have more freedom and all that kind

of stuff. But the idea that somehow a

16 year old is gonna make adult

decisions

well,

it doesn't make sense. When I said that,

there was this,

16 year old girl sitting at the back

of the service.

She got mad.

She stood up and, who are you to

say that 16 year olds can't make their

own decisions? I can make my own decisions.

I can do whatever I want. I make

good decisions all the time.

And,

this guy sitting over here

looked back at her and said, the fact

that you're saying this and yelling at the

pastor in the middle of a service means

maybe you're not making good decisions.

I was like,

But but guys, this is the thing is,

we understand this,

but I don't understand that this is the

part problem I'm having

is that literally people that consider themselves conservatives

all over the state are saying, let's

let children

decide for children.

Which means who's actually gonna be deciding?

This is not a pro child,

rights bill,

ballot initiative.

It's it's an anti parental rights.

Because who's with those kids,

6, 7, 8 hours a day?

Teachers, counselors,

those they're gonna be making decisions for 8

year olds. Right?

There are some teachers

that I would say,

sure. I think they would make good decisions

for my children.

But they are a minority,

a small small minority

compared to who's out there trying to make

the decisions.

And the people that actually would probably make

the right decision for your child will be

the first one to call the parent and

say, what do you think? Because they're your

child.

It's all the people fighting

for the children to make their own decisions

that you better be careful of because they

are trying to take away the parental rights

and give it to somebody else. But not

officially to somebody else because then they at

the end of the day, they can still

blame it on the child.

That's that's egregious.

That's horribly egregious.

I'll probably talk about some of these other

bout of initiatives over the next,

few weeks.

That's a that's a dumb one. That's,

what's the number? 80? 80. That's 80.

Other people are gonna give children that do

not belong to them

rights that will supersede parental rights.

I think these things And I know I

keep saying this, and I get picked on

anytime I say this. I get picked on

in the media and stuff like this. I

think these are just pedophilic mentalities.

These are just more pedophile.

Because why?

Who are the people

wanting

children, young kids,

7 year olds, 9, 12, 30 Who are

the people wanting them to be able to

make all their own decisions?

They're the vultures.

They're the pedophiles that are making that

I wanna do this is because

of, some of the things that I've been

speaking about the last few weeks, but then

also what I'm gonna be speaking about this

week coming up.

Suffering.

do this.

look for suffering.

That's not what I'm saying.

I did say look for challenge.

Challenge yourself. I think we should always be

challenging ourself.

I try to do this

I recognize that as I get older, my

my potential

for challenging myself becomes less and less, right?

Did you realize

that,

most most people will not make a life

changing decision after 35 years old.

Most people. Now, that was an older statistic.

I think that is changing because

because, the way our culture is changing,

right? Our culture is changing quite a bit.

In fact, this is hard for me to

wrap my mind around but this is just

the way it is. Against my, my sensitivities,

I guess you would say. My son is

a, internet he he does internet stuff.

I don't really know what it is. Sometimes

he tells me and I'm like, I don't

know what he's talking about. But,

and he does this he's done this for

for 5 or 6 major

corporations

here in Colorado Springs.

He he contracts

sometimes to a company or sometimes he gets

hired by the company and they contract him

or he works with the company. And right

now, he's working for Lockheed.

And about every

well, it's more than that.

I was about it's about every 6 months,

but it's actually quite quite more often.

But he'll have headhunters call him and say,

hey. This company will hire you, and they'll

pay

you 15,000 more a year.

I'm doing this. And he's done he's changed

like that

5 or 6 times in the last 4

or 5 years.

Sometimes he'll change jobs twice in a year.

That's

not the mindset I had growing up. I'm

old enough that that my parents would try

to instill in me, you know, get a

good job,

work your way up through that job, and

stay with it

your whole life.

Now that that's not how I looked at

it,

but that was the norm when I was

a child

and as I grew up. Now it began

to change. I would I think it began

to change in the eighties

because there was just so much

I mean, going back to Reagan. Reagan made

our country so prosperous

in the 19 eighties. You could you could

get some amazing jobs and move around. But

nowadays,

if when I think of that,

I think

I think to myself, at least stay at

the same job a year,

2 years.

That's not the mindset.

And I'm the I'm the dinosaur.

Because when I say to him, doesn't your

company

doesn't your company not like it when you

move around like that?

And he says, no. That's the way it

is. It's the expectation now. These companies know

that's the way it works because they're the

one trying to hire you from this company.

And then they're trying to hire you from

this company. And he said, specifically

in

in in any kind of technology field and

any definitely any kind of contract, governmental contract

technology work, you're gonna be changing all the

time because you can just get more money

and more money and move around and move

around and move around.

And, because I even asked him,

well, isn't there one of the companies that

you worked for that you would like to

have stayed in? He said, yeah, there was

one. He told me which one it was.

He said, but I got a call from

this other company. They were gonna pay him

20 something 1000 more a year. His company

couldn't match it. And he was gonna get

the job that he wanted,

a little bit higher up in in the

way he I don't know what he's doing.

So

it's just the expectation now. That is so

foreign to

me. Take it in take it in church

work.

You guys realize that I'm a I'm an

I'm an old timer

in church work. The last

the last two churches I worked at, I

was in Strasburg for 11 years. I've been

here for 12 years.

You realize that makes me

the the anomaly?

The average pastor stays at a church less

than 3 years.

The average youth pastor stays at a church

less than a year. That makes Josh and

Liz complete freaks.

They've been here 11 years now. That's

weird. In fact, we get calls we've had

we've spoken different things,

all over because people want to know. We've

done Zoom calls, all kinds of things because

people wanna know how how do you guys

stay together so long.

Like,

I don't know.

I mean, there are reasons but

but at the end of the day that

makes us weird.

That makes us strange.

So so here's the reason that I'm asking

this.

When it comes to

understanding, embracing, suffering, I think our culture right

now,

everything about our culture is taking

the easy way out, taking the easy path.

And I'm not trying to pick on the

way my son works or or that because

it is the norm. If he said, no.

I'm just gonna stay at this company, you

know, for 5 years. Everybody else is gonna

get promoted and promoted and everything else, and

he's gonna be sitting there.

It is the it is the culture. I

don't understand it, but it is the culture.

But everything about life,

this whole thing about,

abortion. One of the big things about abortion

that people don't really just pay attention to

because it's all about, well, the the woman's

rights, and the baby's rights, and all these

things.

One of the things that we don't process

is

this comes from a society that just wants

no accountability.

It's just easy path.

Oh, no. I got pregnant

because I had a choice.

That's that's the woman's choice.

She made a choice.

And then people say, well what about rape

and incest? I understand that. Those are very

very tiny percentages.

Very, very minute percentages.

I still don't believe in killing the baby

though.

I still just I just don't The baby

didn't do anything wrong. Why do we murder

the baby?

Somebody will take it the day it's born.

The day it's born, they'll take it. Things

that we're seeing as a as that is

running rampant around our country right now, because

all different states have all these different rules

of how to adopt, and and then you

got overseas adoptions, and all these other things.

It's getting harder and harder and harder to

to

adopt children, and the foster care system is

getting more broken and more corrupt in the

process.

Okay?

So what's happening is is people are buying

children.

I I don't mean like in a negative

way.

I mean they're they're bypassing the the,

the social services and everything else, and they're

just going privately to mothers and saying I'll

I'll pay this much for your baby. Let's

get a contract, do it up, and they're

buying the children. And it's an it's a

it's a legal adoption,

but you don't have to go through the

stupidity

and the corruption

of social services.

And they're just buying kids.

That's that's becoming rampant right now.

But but the thing is is,

we just we just don't want to deal

with our decisions.

Back when I was a teenager,

this sounds like a complete different

life. It sounds like a different world.

But back when I was a teenager, if

if if a girl got pregnant,

he married her.

Right? That was the thing. Now, I'm not

I'm not saying that's the best idea.

Right? I I don't necessarily think that's the

best idea,

because why make another wrong because of a

wrong.

Right?

You know, I'm looking at this as a

father of a girl.

She gets pregnant. It doesn't mean I I

think she needs to spend the rest of

the life with this moron,

but you understand what I'm saying.

But that was the mentality. Forever that was

the mentality.

Take responsibility. That was the thing. Nowadays we

don't take responsibility

for anything.

We just we run. We run from everything.

We just try to avoid, avoid, avoid.

This is part of the problem with everything

that is happening.

Like when like when,

well, even just using the Venezuela thing in

Aurora. You realize that the, mayor of Aurora

came out yesterday and said, yeah, we have

a major problem.

Wow.

Good to have you on board,

doofus.

Because because they've been trying to hide all

this because it doesn't fit the narrative.

Polis needs to be president. And when you

when you have Venezuela

invade your state and set up a stronghold

in your state, and then start having gang

wars against each other, and you you you

wanna be president, well, all your policies, all

your open border sanctuary city policies are proven

that you're a complete fool and that this

is the result.

So now we gotta lie about it. We

gotta hide it. We gotta do all this

other stuff.

Now Aurora mayor is saying, we got a

problem.

Yeah. You you did. Stopped immediately. And by

the way, they could still stop it. Right?

You realize it take about an hour to

stop it. Send the National Guard in there.

Send the SWAT in there, fully loaded with

rules of engagement. We will shoot.

And you can clean that place out in

about an hour.

Arrest them all, do it. They're not gonna

do that.

That's that that's horrible.

Now,

I'm saying all of this. As I've been

saying, we're we're

we're we're going to be dealing with difficulties.

Things are gonna get more and more difficult

as we move forward.

They just are.

I I had a conversation with a couple

of guys. I was listening to the conversation,

and I finally butted in.

They were talking about, you know, making sure

you they stockpile weapons and ammunition, all this

stuff, which I'm I'm not against that. Do

what you wanna do. You're a grown adult.

And here's the thing. I asked them, I

said, so

what happens when your,

neighbor down the street that's a police officer

is told that he has to come confiscate

your guns?

This is this is a serious question, guys.

Are you gonna shoot them?

Now, I believe most of your cops will

go, not doing it.

What about when they do?

It's it sounds

simple to say,

well, they're not you know,

right?

Over, you know, over my dead body. Take

it from my dead corpse.

It it That sounds simple until that's a

person standing outside your door and they're saying,

give me your guns, and they're gonna shoot

you.

And your wife and your kids are sitting

there. I'm

not saying

I'm not saying there's not an answer to

this. I just don't think that we really

think through this stuff. Did you have a

question?

So, Pastor Scott, if they knocked at your

door and say, give me your guns, what

would you do?

Came to your door and say give me

your guns.

Kamala Harris has said

many, many times I know she changed it

all at the debate and all this, but

there is many places on record with videos

of her saying, the day she becomes president,

she's gonna

by executive order, take all the guns in

America. First, that's a stupid,

naive,

arrogant statement. It's not a possible thing.

But

I they'd be also naive to assume she's

just not gonna try. Did I see somebody

raise that hand? Yeah. I was gonna ask

you, like,

do you believe

oh, shoot. I got a microphone.

Do you believe that that, like, she could

actually do that? Like, do you think our

country could get to that point?

I know our country could get to that

point.

Yeah. Hands down, I know that our country

can get to that point because it happens

all over the world.

Now, it doesn't happen in a place like

America very easily.

But look at all the things that have

been happening in our country right now.

I've been saying this for a few years

now. We we are not a republic anymore.

We don't have a president that is in

control of the country.

We know that. Right? Biden's not running the

country. We know this. That means there are

other people that are. They don't if since

there's already other people that are running the

country, then that means we're not going by

the constitution, which means we're not a republic,

Which means they can do whatever they want.

They're already doing whatever they want.

They're already going against the constitution. And I

have people argue with me and say, no

that's not true. Then is our president running

the country? Because if he's not, we are

not going by the constitution.

There are other people running our country. That

means we're not going by the constitution which

means we're not a republic anymore.

But we keep telling ourselves because we've been

we've been in this country

our whole life potentially.

Well, no. That's not really what's going on.

I saw an article the other day. I

think it was independence Well, I don't wanna

say that because I don't know for sure.

Big article talking about how

That, yeah. There's a lot of problems, there's

a lot of issues and everything. But but

Trump, if if

he gets reelected, there will be a peaceful

transition of power.

Guys, I I can't believe that. Show me

anything in society right now that says that's

true.

Even the fact that Biden is president,

we know they didn't win the election. That's

why they had to stop it at 10

o'clock at night or whatever it was because

the algorithms were not bringing

Biden to the top.

They had to stop it before all the

votes came in because they knew they would

lose.

So they have to stop it, make sure

all the computers are changed, everything goes on,

and now we're seeing state after state after

state where a 100,000 ballots here, 80,000 ballots

here. All this stuff has been proven wrong

that we know for sure that that, Trump

won the election. If you just take Arizona

and Georgia, we know that Trump won the

election.

So so here's my thing is, is that

a possibility?

Hands down, it's a possibility.

It's the same thing has happening in Venezuela

right now. The president was voted out, but

he said, no, I don't think so.

And by the way, there was 20 something

other people that were running for president

over the last 2 years coming up to

the election, and every one of them were

killed.

And

now the president

is not even elected,

But he's not leaving, and he's and he's

trying to arrest the the guy that was

elected.

That's why he fled the country

because they're gonna put him in jail and

kill him.

We're seeing this all over. Look through history.

All over.

And what's the very first thing you have

to do to make sure you can control

the people? You have to take their guns.

Now

is it a possibility

that they can actually take the guns?

No.

I do not think that's a possibility.

I'm not talking about guys like me that

are saying, you know, there's a there's a

moral question here or whatever.

Guys, I grew up in Texas. I know

who rednecks are.

My son's a redneck.

At his he says he is.

I know I know the people in Texas

and Louisiana,

Oklahoma,

Georgia,

Mississippi.

I know these people.

They are hoping this happens.

They are hoping this goes down.

I'm not exaggerating that.

A civil war would be Do you realize

the state of Texas you grow up? I

I grew up in Texas.

They teach you in school. You you take

Texas history, you take American history. When you

take Texas history, they explain to you how

Texas

is the only state that can fly the

flag the same level as the United States

of America flag. It's the only state that

can secede from the union. It's the only

state that will wage war on our parent

country.

I was taught that in school and I'm

like, that's good. You know, I I'm a

kid. I don't know. Now that stuff's not

all exactly true

the way that I said it, but that's

what you're taught.

I do believe I do believe day 1,

if somehow Kamala actually convinces the people of

America she's been elected. That's the only way

I can say it truthfully.

She will try to do some kind of

executive order to take guns. I believe she

will try to do this. She's already said

multiple times she's going to.

Now,

now is the problem.

Her saying that that's not the problem.

Problem, because it's not possible. But come back

to your question.

Are we to that place as a country?

Yes, we are.

Yes, we are. When the FBI

is putting people in jail for standing

outside of the capitol,

yes, they will come take your guns. When

the FBI raids

the the president's

house and facilities

after he voluntarily said come down anytime you

want,

they raid him in the wee hours of

the morning. Yes. That same group of people

called the FBI

will come take your guns.

Guys,

right after January 6th, the biggest thing that

we were hearing and I saw this 2

different times. The FBI coming and and coming

into people's houses here in Colorado Springs because

they had seen them on a camera or

heard that they had been in the capitol

during January 6th.

The FBI coming into your house

that is against the law.

Are we to that place? Yes.

We're to that place.

We've lost our country

and most people in our country don't know

it.

We've lost it.

That's why I keep saying I

they're not gonna let Trump in the White

House. They may let an election go through.

I still don't I still think they're gonna

try to figure that one out.

But if they think they can cheat strong

enough, and yes, I do not think Biden

was elected, I think Trump was elected.

I get called a denier all the time

for this

because I'm not an idiot.

did not win. Trump won.

They can do an election and they're gonna

try to cheat the same way they did

all these other things. They're gonna have to

be better at it. Blah blah blah.

But it doesn't matter if somehow

on paper

Trump wins the election. They're not letting him

in the White House.

I hope come January I'm wrong about that.

I just don't think I am.

It'll it'll truly have to be a supernatural

miracle

that makes that happen.

And if that's the case, then everybody in

the country is gonna recognize that. And and

then I can easily get up and say,

well, it was because of that.

That's gonna be my default.

But it's not gonna be the way that

it always is. I can guarantee you that.

I wanted to look at Galatians 6 is

because I'm actually gonna talk about

part of this

coming up this weekend.

I'm gonna try to encourage you with some

really good stuff this weekend.

I'll show you something maybe I don't think

you've seen before. Maybe? Maybe you have.

But,

it's just one of those moments in scripture

where I'm I'm just gonna show you Sunday.

But

but,

Galatians 6,

this this is where all of this stuff

that I've been talking about,

the

we need a sense of urgency. We need

to step up and really care about the

lost around us, that sense of urgency for

the lost. We've got to to focus in

on,

the fact that suffering is coming our way,

and we better we better start, expecting and

embracing this. Okay? This is one of the

reasons why okay. So I talked about when

I talked

about the rapture

the other day, I talked about the fact

that

that, that Jesus said

that life is gonna be going as normal.

So this is part of my argument, right,

that we're not gonna be in the tribulation.

You're not gonna have gone through the tribulation

because

life is gonna be going as normal when

Jesus comes back. But then there's a statement

where he says,

and, and pregnant women,

it will not be good for pregnant women.

Why?

Because there's a suffering mentality.

There's a,

I'm gonna have to be,

I'm gonna have to be

doing things that it would be more difficult

for a pregnant woman to do.

You see the the language that he's talking

about? When this happens, all of a sudden

Again, they're not gonna know it's about to

happen. They're not gonna This is why I

keep saying that I think the rapture is

before the tribulation because they're not gonna know.

Nothing is gonna be They're gonna be warned,

warned, warned but nothing is gonna have happened

yet. And then

just like they weren't ready for the flood,

they're not ready for the rapture. Well, here's

the thing. The stuff that falls in line

after that

is the devastating stuff.

Now,

the the rapture has happened and the whole

world is in turmoil.

The whole world is in chaos.

Then there I I think the other things

not to go over all that a bit.

Then the other things lead up to the

signing of the peace treaty. Okay.

But here's the thing with this,

is we we see all of this stuff

being prophesied

before,

right up to the time of the tribulation.

And then all this stuff gets bad. Tribulation

we're about to go through. Right? But Jesus

even says you're going to be going through

that stuff

before. Now, again, I believe the rapture happens

before.

But he says, you're gonna be going through

all this stuff. It's gonna be building and

building.

And and

you're gonna be going through the difficulties, but

he says, but the time hasn't come yet.

How many times he say that in Matthew

24, like 3 or 4? But it hasn't

come yet. These are the beginning of birth

pains.

Guys, I believe that's the time frame we're

in right now.

That we're in the beginning of the birth

pains.

And that

that, that this stuff is building up and

we're recognizing

something is something is coming.

Right? Now there's a lot of people prophesying

out there that what is coming is this

great supernatural revival that's gonna sweep across America.

I don't believe that's gonna happen.

I don't see that in scripture anywhere.

I I'm not saying it wouldn't be great,

but but to say that for these people

that are prophesying this, the way they're prophesying

this is this gonna be like this supernatural

move of God that's going to change the

world and it's going to it's going to

transform America and we're all going to turn

back to God as a country and all

that. Show me that in scripture.

When I when I look at stuff in

scripture, it's saying that in the last days,

they will become completely so self absorbed and

selfish that they don't care about truth. That

they that the church itself just wants to

hear things that'll tickle their ears. That that

that they they will turn against mothers,

mothers against daughters, fathers against son. That's the

stuff that I hear about in the last

days. It's not this great move of God

where there's gonna be

supernatural revival. I just don't see that.

It's gonna get worse and worse and worse.

Then we start the tribulation.

And again,

to me the last

starts the floodgates

is the rapture. When the church is raptured,

now the antichrist is

now free. It's what first Thessalonians

4 says. Now, the

antichrist

is now free to do what he wants.

The church has been holding him back.

Let's think about this.

The church is holding the antichrist back right

now,

and we're not doing that great of a

job.

You know,

we

keep hearing about

walls in the, in the, debate

last night tiptoed around this when he when

they talked about, will you believe in abortion

up to the time of birth? Nobody believes

in abortion. Guys, it is legal here in

Colorado. It's legal here in Colorado.

I don't care what those guys say. It

is legal here in Colorado. We're standing in

the capital when this happened.

And

there is this language that is vague enough

that a doctor is gonna be allowed to

decide

if a baby is viable

after birth.

And if the baby's not viable,

then they're going to let the baby,

die.

Right there

in the room. Let the baby die. That

is the way Colorado law is written. I

don't care what the liars called Kamala Harris

or Walls say. They are they are lying

and they know they're lying.

And partly because Kamala and Walls both

fought for this.

But here's the thing with this is, what

if the church is not here at all?

Think about

babies.

Think about babies if the church is not

here at all.

Think about babies in the womb. Think about

2 year old babies.

Think about 5 year old kids

if the church is not here at all.

Think about the evil that will

immediately

descend upon the children.

This is the stuff that we see in

the tribulation.

He says in Galatians 61,

humbly help that person back onto the right

path. It is a responsibility of Christians to

help,

people that have have gotten away from God

to come back.

But I do like the fact that he

says, do this gently and humbly.

My most of my experience as a child

into

junior high, early high school was a very

legalistic approach to this. People would just beat

people up,

not physically, but verbally and everything else.

You're you're a center. You're going to hell.

All this other kind of stuff.

You know, I remember

I mean, this hadn't been crazy long ago.

But I remember it was pretty common back

in the eighties nineties where people would walk

like in big cities and they'd have those

a frame boards over them and it would

say things like turn or burn,

stuff like that. And that just that gets

you, doesn't it? And that just bless you.

That just move your heart.

Gently and humbly help that person back onto

the right path. Now look what he says,

and be careful not to fall into the

same temptation yourself.

Right? Don't ever get to the point where

you think

that you're untouchable.

Satan loves that mentality.

Satan loves it when we think there's there's

nothing Satan can do to hurt me.

We stay humble before the Lord. Our salvation

comes from Jesus Christ. So he's already started,

and he's being we stay humble before the

Lord. Our salvation comes from Jesus Christ. Our

salvation

comes from Jesus Christ.

We we have

we build and develop spiritual disciplines, but our

salvation comes from Jesus. It does not come

from any other place.

It does not come from deep with inside

you.

I talked about this at The Journey,

last time or time before.

That that's a that's a religious spiritual mentality

out there, the self help gurus.

They're all saying reach deep down inside of

you and grab that perfection that's inside of

you and pull it to the surface.

Alright. Do that through positive thinking. Do that

through all this other stuff. Guys, that's voodoo

and it doesn't work.

There is no there is no greatness inside

of you.

And so what we're doing is not reaching

deep into us. We're leaning not on our

own understanding, but we're leaning on Jesus Christ.

So it is it is him

who saves us. And we've got to make

sure that we stay there because

we are we are always going to be

susceptible to temptation.

The whole Bible is the story of that,

right?

Satan is always crouching at your door. Satan

said to to God in Job that he's

been going around the the earth.

He's been roaming around the earth to to

destroy people is basically what he's saying.

That Jesus himself said that Satan is

has come to kill, steal, and destroy.

Don't ever get to the point where you

think you're above that

because it will be your downfall.

The the arrogance that comes along with that

will be,

that that and pride will destroy you.

Let Jesus

always be where you're looking.

Don't ever look in the mirror. How am

I supposed to live? I look at Jesus.

And you build on what he's giving you,

not what you have.

That mentality

seems to always be prevalent, I guess.

He said, share each other's burdens.

In this way, obey the law of Christ.

I was telling I think I was telling

Aidan this the other day. Yeah.

I had a I had a guy in

our last church,

great great friend of mine, great musician. He

and I would travel and do music stuff

together sometimes.

And,

name was Greg. And and and Greg, one

time, Greg came and said

To me, he was asking me questions about,

his cousin and some of his cousin's family,

needed to move needed a place to live.

And he said, should I let them live

in my house

for a little while?

I told him, I said, that's not a

decision I'm gonna make for you. You gotta

pray about that.

And I do think that there are times

in life when you need to do things

like that. You know, God shows you. And

you need to open up your life, your

heart, something,

and do something for others.

Linda and I have done that a handful

of times over the years.

And, and so

I got to talking with Greg,

Greg Lopez, great friend.

And he came into church one day and

and this person was beside him. I assumed

his I assumed this guy was his cousin

that was living with him.

So when when Greg walked in, he said,

hey, pastor. I want to introduce you to

my cousin. I was like, okay. And

he said,

Linda, do you remember this? Do you know

what he called him? You know what he

called him?

Greg.

You know, Greg.

Okay. So,

thanks for the help.

So, so Greg comes in and he says,

this is my cause.

And, and he said his name is Jesus

Christ.

What did I say?

Oh, that's a different we know a

Greg Lopez too, but that's a different guy.

That Greg ran for governor. So

different Greg.

So Greg comes in and he says, this

is my cousin. His name is Jesus Christ.

Now Greg's a funny guy, but I was

like, I don't know where we're going with

this. Why why do you think he introduced

him as Jesus Christ?

No, that wasn't it. His cousin's name was

like Mark or something like that. I don't

know.

He said I said, Jesus Christ.

Yeah, because you were there.

Yeah. I know Greg. Yeah. You know Greg.

Tell me, Linda.

Because when you do to the least of

these, you do unto me. And so he

was letting you know that he is doing

letting the least of these live with him.

So therefore, he's doing it for Jesus. Yes.

It was his way of being funny, but

also explaining he was doing something that was

really and if you know Greg, it was

way outside of his

comfort zone, way outside of his comfort zone.

He was a loner, very introverted,

kinda guy.

And, and we would joke about that because

he and they ended up living with him

for months. But,

but that's what he said. He said, I

have to keep reminding myself.

I'm not helping my cousin.

I am, but I'm not.

I'm trying to do the best I can

to serve Jesus. And this is a way

that I believe Jesus has told me to

do this.

Right?

That's that's real stuff right there.

That's that's really carrying each other's burdens.

So does this makes me Jesus Christ being

that I just live with you? Yeah.

You were only Jesus for like a week,

but

yeah. I didn't I didn't put that together,

but yeah, you are.

Share each other's burdens. In this way, obey

the law of Christ.

If you think you are too important to

help someone,

you're only fooling yourself. You are not that

important.

Amen. I love that.

I love that. I've met many people over

the years that would never read that sentence.

Many Christians

would never read that sentence because they thought

they were too important.

I've met a lot of people over the

years.

To Christians and non Christians, I'm too important.

I'm too important. Guys, we've gotta be careful

that we ever don't ever get to that

place.

We don't ever get to that place.

Linda, I have some socks in my

in my,

closet. I've I haven't opened the package. Linda

gave them to me for Christmas.

And, the sock say,

I'm kind of a big deal around here.

And I I they they sit right there,

and I've thought 3 or 4 times I

reach for them, I'm like, yeah, I'm just

gonna leave them there. Because it to me,

that's like,

it does the opposite for me. When I

read that as I'm leaving my closet, I

read that and I'm like, no, you're not.

You're really not a big deal.

You think you're a big deal.

What was that, Linda?

Is this something you wanna share with all

of us?

It was good.

We're we're gonna talk.

When we get home, young lady.

When we get home, young lady.

I don't know why I'm calling you young

lady. You're older than I am.

Oh. I hate you. Okay.

But you are. So

But you are. So

guys, I I just I just think it's

important for us to always have this check.

Right?

You're

you're not as important as you think you

are sometimes. Now I don't think that that

means that we should go around

beating ourself up saying, I'm not I'm not

anything.

That's not what Paul is saying.

He's saying if you get to the point

where you think you can't help somebody,

that you can't carry somebody else's burdens, that

means that you've got to the arrogant pride

point and you're not as important as what

you think you are.

If you're if you're doing the opposite where

you're saying, well, I'm worth nothing. Now you're

saying, well, Jesus,

Jesus created something that's not important and not

vital and and doesn't care enough to live

within me and all that. That's that's the

exact opposite, but it's just as it's just

as bad.

Right? What makes us amazing And I do

believe people are amazing, but only because of

Jesus.

I I don't I've said this before in

a bunch of different ways and I can

unpack this a lot if you wanted, but

I don't I don't really,

have that much hope in people.

I've never had that much hope in people.

But when somebody accepts Jesus, it's amazing

how they become

amazing.

And they start caring about something besides themselves.

They start realizing that there's a bigger picture

than them,

a bigger picture than just what you're seeing.

Jesus makes us absolutely

new

in him,

but people,

man,

people are

are bothersome.

People are disappointing.

Right? And they, of course, are exceptions. But

I don't put hope and stock and trust

in people.

It's Jesus.

It's Jesus.

And you can tell the people that really

are letting Jesus be in charge. I'm not

talking about people that do all the church

things and all the Christians. That's not what

I'm saying. I'm saying you can tell the

people that truly are trying to put Jesus

first. You can actually see that. I think

you can see it fairly,

easily.

I'm not saying that they're perfect or any

of that kind of thing, but they really

do care. And they care about God, and

they care about other people.

This

is why I I saw I don't even

know who the guy is, but some on

the Christian post or some some some blog

today or some site, talking about this megachurch

pastor that,

endorsed Kamala Harris. And and the church just

tore him apart.

Said, how can you how can you say

that you would vote for people that believe

in murdering babies?

Just start there.

And he said, well, I think the evils

that are Donald Trump are bigger than the

evils of murdering babies.

That was his quote.

Like,

You you you you really think this is

about you.

This is about God and God loves the

babies.

I don't care what anybody says. I go

round and round with people constantly.

What about this reason? What about this reason?

What about here? What I we do not

murder babies.

You it doesn't matter the reasons you come

up. We do not murder babies.

And

you're fooling yourself. You're not that important.

And then he backed off, well, there's so

many people that are upset.

Well, do you either believe it or you

don't, man?

You believe it hold to it. Don't be

a wimp.

You believe in murder and babies hold to

it.

Says be careful pay a careful attention to

your own work for then you will get

the satisfaction of a job well done and

you won't need to compare yourself to anyone

else.

I was watching Bob's Burgers the other night.

Most

of you don't know, but apparently, Daniel does.

It's a great cartoon, great life stories like

you would not believe.

And it's a good

it's it's morally sound. It's not like South

Park and stuff like this. It's a good

one. But

and he was and this was This scripture

is exactly how that. I I already processed

this. And so when I'm watching, I'm like,

that's exactly Galatians 6.6.

He's worried about the guy across the road

that owns another restaurant. He's getting all these

people and stuff. And his wife told him

and his friend told him, don't compare yourself

to others. Only concern yourself with you.

Who are you, not who they are, who

are you.

And that'll

that that's got mileage to it.

You won't need to compare yourself to anyone

else.

Emily

asked me this question one time, and she

she understood what she was asking.

But,

because I immediately had to do pastor mode,

you know, when she said this. It was

years ago. But she said, does it irritate

you,

or do you get upset or something like

that? Does it irritate you

when and I don't remember what the vehicle

was, but it was a vehicle that I

wanted or something, or liked or something like

that. She said, does it irritate you when

you see somebody

else driving

one of those cars?

No.

Let me give you a little bit of

American understanding, a little bit of class warfare.

I may want I don't know what the

car was.

Let's say a jeep.

And maybe I don't have a jeep, and

I want a jeep. And somebody drives by

with a jeep, if I'm upset because they

have a jeep,

that is literally the definition of coveting.

Just because I want a jeep doesn't mean

I should be upset because somebody else can.

But isn't that where America is right now?

Well, they have a big house. Why can't

I have a big house? This is literally

the definition of equity,

not equality.

I believe in equality.

Equity is evil.

Equity says we all end up at the

same place.

Doesn't matter whether you try harder, you work

harder, you work less, you don't care, you

care real hard.

As long as we all end up with

the same house, and the same car, and

all the same stuff, that's equity. And it's

wrong. It's marxism.

It's marxism done poorly

and well at the same time.

But here's the thing.

Why should

it ever matter to me what somebody else

has?

Why should that ever matter to me?

Well, they have a new house.

So what?

Maybe maybe if I went out to eat

less, I could have a new house,

which by the way is how Linda and

I's life works.

We we eat out a lot. We love

it.

And she's an amazing cook. You think we

would be home more,

but

but she's quitting

at the end of the year.

Yes.

That's what I told her when she said,

I do think I'm supposed to resign. I'm

like,

we better have better meals around here regularly.

And I'm saying this stuff online. I can't

always. As we Here's the key sentence. We're

responsible

for our own conduct.

We're each responsible for our own conduct.

And it's easier for me to pick on

society right now because society does not embrace

this at all. It is it's never your

fault. It's never your fault. It's never your

fault.

Guys, let's own this in the church too.

It's never my fault.

I know I've picked on this some, but

we come up with so many reasons

why my sin is okay.

God made me this way.

You know, the old mentality and you can

put anything into this category, but I hate

it because I don't think it's biblical.

Once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic. I hate

that.

I hate that mentality.

You're basically just giving up and saying Jesus

isn't bigger than that.

The holy spirit can't conquer that.

Well, this is always just put anything else

in there. Once a murderer, always a murderer.

When when do we say, Jesus

can change me?

Same concept. God didn't make them that way.

They're not just trapped in that. Now, I

I know people that think that is one

of the biggest things that people can't come

back from.

Right? Guys, I just have to believe Jesus

is bigger than anything.

He can save us and change us from

anything.

Now, I'll be really honest with you. For

me personally,

if I know somebody was a pedophile,

and then they they get saved and they're

trying to do good, I'm gonna keep an

eye on them.

I mean, I am.

Right. You're supposed to.

You're supposed to.

Okay?

But you also have to balance this with

with Grace.

Here's the thing. There's a lot of people

that I wouldn't save if I was Jesus.

Just let Jesus be Jesus? As you're responsible

for your own conduct, you're responsible

You're responsible for

for for everything. You're responsible.

How well do you know the Bible?

That's your responsibility.

It's not somebody else's responsibility.

How often do you pray?

That's your responsibility.

And we like to shirk around all this

stuff and say, it's it's not important.

Doesn't matter. I had a pastor try to

explain this to me one time. He said,

I don't really like have, times when I

pray. That's kind of like pray all the

time. Like Paul said, pray without ceasing. Yeah.

I just pray through the whole day. I

don't have like these specific times when I

pray.

Except that is not a biblical

mindset.

Jesus not only said it, but he modeled

it.

He would go to be alone by himself

to pray.

We have what's called our prayer closet.

Why do we just say, well, no, I'm

going to do it my way. I'm just

going to do it my way.

I can name 10 things right now that

I hear this all the time from Christians.

Yeah, I know that's kind of the way

it was done. No. It's the way the

Bible says it, but I'm going to do

it this way.

Oh, yeah, I know. But this, you know,

this is kind of the, this is kind

of the, the better way.

Except God tells

us how to live. He tells us what

to do.

But we don't like to take responsibility.

As all of this stuff is

all of this stuff is going to be

vitally important.

As we're as we as we progress as

a country. As as we progress Do you

realize that the that

the FBI is putting people in jail all

of the time?

Right now, Friday

Friday

is the the,

the court case for Tina Peters.

The only thing Tina Peter Peters did was

try to,

be a whistleblower against the complete corruption

of our secretary of state.

The lying

corruption

of our secretary of state. And then she

ran against her in in the election, and

the secretary of state had her put in

jail.

This is coming back to to his question.

Well, could our country get to that point?

We put our public we put our political

opponents in jail right now. What other countries

do that? Russia,

China,

North Korea,

Venezuela.

We put that's why they've been going after

Donald Trump. You know, that's gonna be one

of the ways they're gonna try to keep

him out of the White House. If he

gets elected, they're gonna say he cannot be

the president because he has been convicted of

of treason.

That's that's the whole reason for the indictments.

It wasn't because they expected him to go

to jail. And all these people were saying,

yeah. He's gonna go to jail for the

no. He's not. They're doing this so he

can't be president.

And it's a farce.

Because this is this is where we are

as a country.

This is where we are.

Nobody nobody's gonna take responsibility

for for their own actions. We don't do

that anymore.

Those who are taught the word of God

should provide for their teachers,

sharing all good things with them.

Now, we we kind of usually limit that

to,

you know, pay your pastors. That's kinda where

people that's kinda where people use that scripture

for. Pay your pastors.

I'm not against that.

Okay?

But I think there's more to it. I

think there's a relationship. It's a mentoring mentee

kind of thing.

Are are we working together

toward being discipled and discipling?

Right?

Because the teachers have teachers too, right?

Are we working toward that together? Don't be

misled. You cannot mock the justice of God.

You will always harvest what you plant.

You will always harvest what you plant.

This is a major thing that I talk

about with pre married couples,

is what does that look like. Some of

what,

what,

our South African pastor,

Papa Boomer said last Wednesday night

was sexually, you actually harvest what you plant.

Those who live live to satisfy their sinful

nature will harvest decay and death from that

sinful nature.

But those who live to please the spirit

will harvest everlasting life from the spirit.

Who who makes that decision in your life?

You do.

Right? What what did he say? We are

each responsible for our own conduct. So if

we're satisfying our sinful nature, that's not somebody

else's fault.

It's not nobody else can make you do

things.

Nobody else can

can make you not serve Jesus.

Jesus away from you? They can't. It's not

possible. You can serve Jesus in prison. You

can serve Jesus in

persecution. You can serve

Jesus

in the highest mountain, the

lowest valley.

Nobody can take Jesus from

you. That's you. You make that decision.

If you please the spirit, it's because you're

deciding to. If you don't please the spirit,

it's because you're deciding to.

But those who live to please the spirit

will harvest

everlasting life from the spirit. So let's not

get tired of doing what is good. And

I there are different times in your Christian

walk when this is vital and this is

the this is the sentence that I was

building

to.

There's there's different moments throughout your Christian walk

when you just have to keep you know,

you just put your head down and you

just keep going forward. Right? You ever been

there?

You just put your head down. You just

keep going forward. Things aren't working out the

way they're supposed to. It's not good, blah

blah blah. But I'm gonna I'm just gonna

I'm just gonna keep doing what I'm supposed

to be doing.

I'm not gonna give up. I'm not gonna

give up. And that's what I was talking

about someday,

quitters. We don't have the luxury of being

quitters. That's not a thing. That's not a

that's not a real spiritual thing. We think

it is. And we think, well, I'm just

gonna kind of give up for a little

bit, and

and it'll all work out. I'm still going

to go to heaven. Jesus and I, we're

good and all this kind of stuff. But

I'm just I'm just so done right now.

So done with what?

Relationship?

Done with grace?

Do you want do you want Jesus to

be done with grace? Are you done with

grace?

Are you done with forgiveness? Do you want

Jesus to be done? Are you done with

loving others? Or you want Jesus to be

done with loving others?

Are you done with the word of God?

Is that not important? Are you done with

prayer?

And I mean, we can go down all

kinds of things. Right?

Instead, he says,

don't get tired of doing what's good.

Don't get tired of doing what's good.

Just hang in there.

Keep doing that. Emily bought me a poster.

It was

it's a it's more of a joke than

it is. It is a joke

because she knows I think these things are

goofy.

It's on the back of my door in

my office,

and it's a cat hanging on to a

rope,

and it says, don't give up.

You know, it's like leadership

poster

kind of thing.

Those things are so cheesy, so cheesy.

But I see it all the time and

I'm like,

that's right. Don't give up.

Right. Same with you. All

right. We're going to pray.

Any thoughts or anything before we pray? I

don't want to just rush through it.

Yes, ma'am.

As a North Carolina girl, my heart is

just breaking for Western North Carolina, and I

just saw a thing that Kamala's going to

give every family $750

And,

I don't know. I just think we ought

to pray for them. There's a lot of

absolute tragedy there.

Yeah.

Yeah. That $750

should fix it.

Yeah. That's called buying votes.

That has nothing to do with legitimacy.

Yes, sir.

Okay.

No. I I was just going back to

the beginning of your sermon and, like,

I I I spend a lot of time

meditating on,

just Western Christianity

and I feel persecuted

when someone doesn't say thank you or please.

A. Maybe I'm speaking for myself or the

church as a whole, but I feel like

that's the mentality of our western. I

don't know. You and I talked.

Pushed to rapture. So I

kinda stress like,

if that's what persecution is to me, I'm

done.

Valid.

So, So, you know, I strongly I never

had it said that way, but, yeah, that's

true. Right? You know? You're going down first

5 minutes. I'm done.

Just just cut me out.

This persecution thing is too much to meditate

on.

So, but anyhoo, I do talk with my

kids and stuff too. Like

like, do I I I mean, I I

had a pastor a while back, and maybe

this is too much for your live

on, social media. But he said, what if

it gets to a point where somebody puts

a gun to your kid's head?

Are you gonna renounce Jesus?

And that's persecution.

Meditate on that, and how are you gonna

behave in the end of days?

I meditate on that. That's pretty wild to

think about because I don't think American Christians

have been persecuted like that in a very

long time.

Yeah. So anyhow American Christians have never been

persecuted like that.
