Praise the Lord.
-
Somebody shout hallelujah.
-
Come on, shout hallelujah Now from your mouth, from your voice.
-
Can you just release your hands and put them together and give God a thunderous of praise if you believe that he's doing great things in your midst, wherever?
-
you are glad that he's doing great things and you're excited about it.
-
Come on, come on, right where you are.
-
Come on, I don't believe you.
-
Come on, I'm not convinced just yet.
-
Come on, he's doing great things.
-
Eyes haven't seen, ears haven't heard.
-
Come on, great things, great things, great things.
-
Come on, don't wait on nothing else.
-
Lift it.
-
Great things, great things, great things, great things, great things, great things, great things, great things.
-
Hallelujah.
-
We honor the Lord and we're grateful for who he is, and we just give God praise for the opportunity to share this morning.
-
This is the day that the Lord has made and we choose to rejoice and be glad in it.
-
Brother Adrian, if you can just put that in the monitors on the pulpit instead of the stage, I will be great.
-
Otherwise I'm going to talk like Mickey Mouse until it get there.
-
Amen.
-
Oh, why y'all looking deep?
-
I am at home, right, I ain't trying to wear myself out.
-
Oh, y'all sit down, sit down, sit down.
-
We'll give them a chance to get that together.
-
It is an honor just to be here and we thank the Lord for his faithfulness and who he is to us and we're grateful that God is indeed doing great things on our behalf and he's doing the unexplainable in our life.
-
Anybody just been feeling like God's doing the unexplainable in your life?
-
Been feeling like God's doing the unexplainable in your life?
-
Yeah, some stuff that we just cannot trace, some stuff that we don't have blueprint for.
-
But we understand that whatever he's doing, it's good, amen, it's good.
-
And even if it don't look like it, if it don't smell like it, we always just take retrospect in Romans, chapter eight, and we know that all things work together for the good.
-
Somebody shout it's all good Of them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.
-
So we are grateful today, and we just give God praise, truly indeed, for just being here.
-
Could you help me celebrate this awesome, esteemed leader that we have in the person of Pastor Walter Bowers?
-
Come on, let's celebrate him.
-
Come here, elvis Smith, come on, celebrate him real big.
-
We thank God for him just being with us and just giving us the vision for this house.
-
Listen, the people perish for a lack of knowledge and also for not having vision, but we have a leader here that has vision and insight that's going to take us to the next place, take us to where we need to go.
-
Just turn it around.
-
It's all right, don't be bad.
-
He's so scared, he's so bashful and scared I ain't going to be able to preach this right y'all.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah, amen, amen.
-
Listen, I ain't wearing myself out.
-
Man.
-
God, no, no, no, no, no.
-
He's a wonder in my soul.
-
My soul loves Jesus, my soul.
-
Let me get the church mother back.
-
My soul loves Jesus, my soul loves Jesus.
-
Bless his name.
-
Bless His name.
-
My soul loves Jesus.
-
My, my soul loves Jesus.
-
My, my soul love Jesus bless his name I need thee, oh, I need thee every hour.
-
I need Thee, oh bless me now say say I, I come to bless the.
-
Oh, my soul and all that is within me, bless, bless his holy.
-
I wish I had a church.
-
Bless his holy, his holy name, for he has done great things.
-
I wish I had somebody.
-
He has done great things.
-
He has done great things.
-
Bless His holy.
-
His holy, clap your hands right there and say His holy name, his holy name.
-
Thank you, man of God.
-
Now you hear what I was hearing.
-
His holy name.
-
I said His holy name.
-
I said His holy name.
-
I said His holy name.
-
I shall never hire.
-
I said his holy name.
-
I said his holy name.
-
I said his holy name.
-
Okay, go ahead and stand.
-
I'm going to get out of the way.
-
I'm going to get out of the way.
-
I just let me help you, pastor.
-
You said I was at home, right, okay, I'm at home.
-
So I'm the pastor for this next 15 minutes.
-
Let me quit lying.
-
Probably about 25, 30, but I'm past for the next 30 minutes.
-
Always, when you enter into a space, you go in as the atmosphere changer and if it's not where it needs to be, you're the person that showed up, the changer.
-
I can't hear nobody.
-
Okay, let me break it down a little bit more simple.
-
Just tell the person beside you you're the reason for the change.
-
That's it.
-
You're going to remember that.
-
We're going to John, chapter 15.
John 15 chapter mention
-
I'm getting out your way.
-
I'm only lifting up one verse of scripture today, but I am grateful for every graduate.
-
I celebrate the elevate, what god has done for you.
-
Let's clap one more time for them.
-
My big sister, dr colle Colleen.
-
Ha, I had to say that I love it.
-
I love it.
-
I'm right behind you, sis, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, but the word today I was telling Pastor in the back because he tried to debo me.
-
You know, like he do us associates, y'all pray for us.
-
He tried to debo me in the back.
-
Come to my office when you get here.
-
I was like yes, sir.
-
So I pulled up and you know, deacon john's gonna do everything, he said.
-
He said how you doing?
-
I sound good, put that code in, come on in.
-
I was like dang, you knew I was coming to go in the room and he's just talking.
-
Yeah, preach the word, man.
-
I said yes, sir, I yes sir, I'm going to preach, I said, but I'm kind of struggling with the fact of making it youthful.
-
Dr Coley, I knew the Lord sent you in here.
-
I knew I had something.
-
What is wrong with this dude?
-
Just preach man, you know.
-
I mean we love the kids and stuff, but just preach man.
-
We need the word.
-
So I say all that to say you blame your pastor today for whatever God says to us.
-
He gave entrance that I could just say what the Lord says and sit down.
-
I do apologize in advance.
-
Once I get done speaking I will zoom out so I can do this all over again about 1230.
-
All right, let's look at the word John, chapter 15.
John 15 chapter mention
-
Father, it is at the entrance of your word that bring us light and life.
-
Speak to these, your people, whom you have created.
-
Lord, we thank you for this opportunity.
-
We thank you for this grace.
-
We thank you for this next level.
-
This word is going to shift our life and it's going to shift our mindset.
-
In Jesus name, amen, word, lord, we read in this house together John 15, verse 16, the only verse that will live for the new living translation.
-
Let's read it together.
-
You didn't choose me, I chose you.
-
I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for using my name.
-
I would be okay with that, but y'all almost sound like y'all in the library.
-
Let's try that one more time, with a little bit more power, and I need you to understand that God is prophetically speaking to your life through this text.
-
Let's try it again.
-
One, two, three.
-
You didn't choose.
-
There you go.
-
I chose you.
-
I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for For the few moments that are mine.
-
Can you just tell somebody you are the one, or you are the one, if you'd rather say it that way, you may be seated in the presence of the Lord.
-
You didn't choose me, but I chose you.
-
I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for using my name.
-
It's been a significant amount of time since many of us have participated in the childhood highlighted game called Tag.
-
The sequence of the game, my brothers and sisters, is to have one person close their eyes while everyone else runs around to find a spot to hide in.
-
The person with their eyes closed counts down or up, and once completed, they shout ready or not?
-
Here I come.
-
Sound like a few of y'all played the game too.
-
The objective is to find someone in their hiding spot and shout tag, you're it once you catch them.
-
This game was never meant to be prophetic, but it's significant to me today and to the balance of the believer that, no matter the fashion we're in or where we try to run, or where we try to hide, when God's countdown is complete, ready or not, he's coming.
-
Truthfully, it's not for glitz or glamour.
-
It's not that you wanted to sign up for it.
-
It's not that this was the route you chose for yourself.
-
But you got to understand when God catches you, you have been chosen.
-
Tell somebody I've been chosen.
-
To be chosen means to be picked or selected as the best fit or the most appropriate from other alternatives to settle on and to decide upon a course of action.
-
It was William Law that quoted if you have not chosen the kingdom of God first, it will, in the end, make you no difference what you have chosen instead.
-
I'm going to say that again If you have not chosen the kingdom of God first, it will, in the end, make no difference what you have chosen instead.
-
See, many of you are looking at me like that because you say Pastor Smith, I understand what you're saying, I know I'm chosen, but I really don't want this.
-
I know, I get it.
-
I get it.
-
I've been in that place too.
-
I've been in that place too.
-
You're tired of church people and their drama.
-
You're tired of people always criticizing you when you're just simply trying to do your job.
-
You ain't out here trying to make it on television.
-
You ain't trying to have a gospel album.
-
All you want to do is find yourself effective and obedient.
-
You ain't trying to tell people what to do, you just want to show up and make sure everything is in sync in the spirit of excellence.
-
But can I encourage you for a moment that many are called, but somebody shout few are chosen.
-
You may not like the whiplash, you may not like the stuff that comes with it, but you got to understand that man did not decide your fate, man did not decide your destiny.
-
They did not decide your career choice and they did not decide your purpose.
-
But scream at your neighbor and agitate that demon.
-
Tell him, god did this thing.
-
He chose me from my mother's womb.
-
He equipped me for the battle.
-
He equipped me for the testimony.
-
I may not be the best preacher, but I know I'm chosen.
-
I may not be the best doorkeeper, but I know I'm chosen.
-
I may not be the best choir member, but, baby blessed assurance Jesus is mine.
-
Oh, what a forte.
-
Somebody said I'm chosen.
-
I'm chosen, chosen for such a time as this and the battle becomes with the choice.
-
May I submit to you that God is choosing people that the people have not chosen.
-
I feel my help, hallelujah.
-
I said God is choosing people that the people have not chosen.
-
He's choosing the ones that have detrimental testimonies, the ones that survived divorce.
-
You survived abuse.
-
You survived your daddy's demons.
-
They didn't think you were going to make it to school because your mama understood that.
-
You looked like your daddy, you smelt like your daddy, you wore your daddy's cologne.
-
But tell somebody I didn't have my daddy's destiny.
-
My daddy may have been a drunk, but God chose me to be successful.
-
My daddy may be jacked up, but God chose me to be righteous.
-
Scream again and tell somebody I'm chosen.
-
I don't know who that was for, but I felt that on my back.
-
Agitate him again and tell him I'm chosen.
-
So, smith, calm down.
-
When you you're chosen, you got to understand that you're chosen for a specific work that must be completed.
-
What I'm, what I'm seeing now, oh lord is pastor anointing is on me.
-
What I'm seeing now many people, many people are signing up and acknowledging that they're chosen, but they're not finishing the route.
-
So you got people that's on the road, that's listed for the job, but the job ain't getting completed.
-
Y'all don't want to talk.
-
Y'all don't want to talk to me.
-
So then you get mad when we start expecting your fruit.
-
You get mad when we call you to the carpet because it's more than just being chosen for a category.
-
But you got to be effective in that place.
-
We don't need you just taking up a spot.
-
If God has given you the rights to be chosen.
-
Tell somebody at least do something.
-
Let's do something.
-
So the only choice for the background history I'm going to go, the only choice that leads to salvation, is to follow Jesus and obey his commandments.
-
To abide in Jesus means that we are all in and committed to following him, no matter what.
-
It doesn't matter where the path leads us, how difficult it becomes or what stands in front of us.
-
We make a commitment to follow him all the way through.
-
So our text today is presented now with the final evening of his mortal ministry.
-
After the last supper, the Savior taught his apostles that he is the true vine.
-
Somebody shout true vine and his disciples are the branches.
-
He commanded his disciples to love one another and he warned them of the persecution that they would experience because of their association with him.
-
I got to pause real quick to let you know that the reason you're getting all that backlash from everybody is because who you're connected to.
-
They don't like the fact that you really got a real connection with Jesus.
-
They want you to be some kind of flimsy-flopsy, to make you feel like you're going to say yes to everything you do, but you can smell a wolf in sheep clothing a mile away.
-
They don't understand that your discernment is king.
-
They don't understand that you can see when somebody's faking the phony ship.
-
But is there anybody in this room that say I'm willing to ride with God, even if it caused me to have to be persecuted because of my association?
-
Look how y'all looking at me today.
-
Many of you graduated but you couldn't get the diploma without the persecution.
-
Why is it that the church wants the reward but we don't want the persecution?
-
We wants the reward but we don't want the persecution.
-
We want the elevation but we don't want the persecution.
-
He said bless those that persecute you.
-
But persecution makes us feel like we're not popular.
-
Help me, holy Ghost.
-
Lord, I'm trying to shout y'all.
-
He keep tugging me in another way.
-
Persecution makes us feel like we're not the one they like.
-
You know, kim, it's a sad day when the only success we want is church popularity.
-
Y'all ain't liking me.
-
The only success if you build your success on how popular you can be in church, baby, something is wrong with you.
-
Even the text said heaven and earth shall pass away, but his word gonna stand forever.
-
If you build your hopes on what you can do inside of a building, then you're putting your faith in the wrong hands.
-
You're doing it for the wrong reason.
-
You're putting your faith in the wrong hands.
-
You're doing it for the wrong reason.
-
But come here, old school church, only what you do for Christ.
-
But we got to get back to.
-
We got to get back to this format.
-
Let me take a pause for a minute.
-
We got to get back to this format because we're making church look like a circus.
-
Y'all don't like me.
-
I'm coming through.
-
We're making church look like a circus and we're teaching our young people, those that come behind us, this is how you serve.
-
No, you don't serve with malice in your heart.
-
You don't serve hating your brother on seat number 22.
-
You don't serve disliking your sister.
-
You don't serve being full of cuss words and animosity.
-
But you got to serve.
-
He said who shall ascend to the heel of the Lord?
-
He that has clean hands and a pure heart.
-
Watch this elder Deborah We'll make sure our hands are clean, but we'll come with corrupt motives in our heart.
-
Ooh, I don't know who that's for.
-
So your hands get clean, because we didn't see you throw the rock.
-
But the corruption of your heart showed up before your hands ever got there.
-
But the corruption of your heart showed up before your hands ever got there.
-
Y'all sit, I'm just talking.
-
If you're going to be the one, you got to understand that some things can't go with you in this next journey.
-
We understand that many people are going to be different.
-
We all have different purposes and talents and gifts, but our talents and our gifts and our purpose together is for an effectual kingdom building.
-
Oh, come here, john.
-
John said how can you say you love me, my god, but you hate your brother?
-
He said you murderer.
-
Some of us got to get back repentant in our heart because we've killed so many people with our tongue.
-
We've killed so many people with our evil ways.
-
We've killed so many people with our nasty disposition.
-
I don't care nothing about you looking at me like that, I'm going on anyway.
-
We've killed so many people with all this harassment.
-
But I charge you today.
-
Tell somebody, get delivered.
-
How can you advance the kingdom of God and still hold on to corruption?
-
Light and darkness can't go together.
-
He said when you look warm, I'll spit you out.
-
Lord, why you got me here?
-
Some of us gotta choose the day what side we wanna be on.
-
You gonna be a hot Christian or you gonna be a cold jelly bag.
-
So we rehearsing.
-
Lord, help me, lord, help me.
-
I don't know why you called me.
-
We're rehearsing to possess the land when we need to be possessing our heart.
-
Oh, I'm out here now, marcus, and I ain't scared of the devil.
-
I said we're possessing the land, but we need to possess our hearts.
-
Hands are busy, but hearts are far from him.
-
Steps are in order, but our hearts are captivated with evil intentions.
-
Somebody sitting in this room saying you know, I thought I was going to be able to get with him, but, baby, I ain't feeling this.
-
It's because your heart wrong.
-
Do you think a patient feels like having heart surgery?
-
No, am I right, bree?
-
Do they feel like going into surgery?
-
No, am I right, brie?
-
Do they feel like going into surgery?
-
No, but the surgery is necessary for them to live.
-
Look how y'all looking at me and listen.
-
Tell somebody that's not all bad.
-
It's not all a bad testimony, but the moment you lock in and allow God to do the surgery, tell somebody that's when life can come.
-
Jesus said I come, that you might have a life more abundantly.
-
Woo, woo.
-
I feel like Martin Lawrence Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo woo Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo woo woo.
-
I'm so glad Elder Al came before me so he can preach you happy Because I got to help you.
-
I can't deny my charge, but we got to be better than where we were.
-
What got us here was enough for right here.
-
I'm going to run that back.
-
What got us here was enough for right here.
-
But where God has taken us, come here Bible.
-
Because some of y'all don't believe me.
-
You think I'm just spitting stuff.
-
I ain't talk to nobody.
-
Truth be told, I don't even like talking to people.
-
You wouldn't think that, but I don't.
-
I stay to people.
-
You wouldn't think that, but I don't.
-
I stay to myself.
-
The Bible says we go from faith to and from glory to.
-
Why y'all tripping these?
-
He didn't give us no elevate message.
-
Jesus Christ is the true vine Human of the, the union of the human and divine nature, and the fullness of the spirit is in him.
-
Pastor Bowers Resembles the root of the vine, made fruitful by the moisture listen to this from rich soil, believers are the branches.
-
The root is unseen, my God, and our life, just like the root, is hid with Christ.
-
But the root bears the tree, my Lord, it diffuses the sap and in Christ all the supports and supplies.
-
Lord, help me.
-
Believers, just like the branches of the vine.
-
They're weak, listen to this, unstable at moments, unable to stand, but as they are born up, the father, which is the husband, my God, god today, never was the vine dresser so wise and so watchful about his vineyard and about his church, and therefore that's how we prosper.
-
But what I found significant, coleman, when I was studying this and I said, lord, why are you giving me this for celebrate the elevate, he took me, took me to verse two.
-
Do you still got your Bible open?
-
Let's walk it just for a moment.
-
Let's look at the same scripture in John, chapter 15.
John 15 chapter mention
-
And we're going to look at verse two.
-
If you have it, shout, I got it.
-
The word says I'm going to go to verse one, I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman here.
-
It is Every branch in me that beareth not fruit.
-
He takes it away, lord I get ready to scream oh my God.
-
And every branch that beareth fruit, he purges it.
-
Wait a minute, lord.
-
Y'all see that.
-
So if I don't bear no fruit, you're going to take it away.
-
But then if I bear fruit, you're going to still cut me.
-
Okay, I'm running back because I used to be slow too.
-
If I don't bear fruit, you're going to take it away.
-
If I do bear fruit, you're going to still cut me.
-
Some of us are upset because we've been getting cut.
-
Oh help me, holy Ghost.
-
Some of us have been saying you know what?
-
My issue is not the fact that I'm not fruitful.
-
I've been praying, I've been sowing my ties, I've been trying to speak to everybody.
-
I've been trying to stay on my P's and Q's.
-
I ain't been in no discord, I ain't been in no drama, but I'm still getting cut.
-
I got all my ducks in a row.
-
I came in, I said hallelujah, I done my dance, I got with Brandy, but I still found myself getting cut.
-
The worst thing, hallelujah, that a believer wants to feel is pain.
-
But how would you respond?
-
And don't tear this church up.
-
But how would you respond if I told you pain is a part of the branch?
-
Y'all don't like me.
-
Sometimes on your journey you're gonna get cut.
-
Sometimes you're gonna feel some hits.
-
That wasn't really meant for you, but you got to understand that the branch is in the vine.
-
Lord, look how y'all looking at me.
-
I said tell somebody you got to understand that the branch is in the vine and when the branch is in the vine you can withstand every cut.
-
I want to prophesy for a moment, because some of you we all going to get delivered today, because there's some things in my life I need him to cut out of me.
-
I know you can sit there and look sad, sadidi, like you ain't never done nothing and that's the reason why can't nobody eat no fruit from your table because your fruit is rotten and spoiled.
-
You don't want to tell your real testimony of how you had a baby out of wedlock.
-
You don't want to tell your real testimony how you used to be a two dollar hole.
-
I used to be a hot mess.
-
I used to go to every club possible.
-
I I used to sleep with every Tom, dick, harry and Susie, but God delivered me.
-
So I understand.
-
I understand you don't want to tell that side.
-
But in order for the branch to become strong and fruitful, you don't just get the reward, you got to get the cut.
-
Somebody's getting delivered today, elder Meosha from being offended because the pastor didn't pick them.
-
It was a Somebody mad because you felt like you never measured up to be a disciple.
-
You're not worthy to even come into the building.
-
It was a Somebody's afflicted because your emotions have been out of whack, because you've been unstable, because you don't feel like you fit in.
-
You don't feel like you're a part.
-
Where's my place?
-
It's a part of the cut, but you can't get the strength of the vine until you understand the cutting was by him.
-
Thank you, thank you very much.
-
How do you respond when God is a part of the cutting?
-
Yeah, I know you thought it was your brother the devil, but it ain't your brother.
-
It is not Satan, it's not Judas.
-
He minding his business.
-
He's seeking whom he may devour and take over.
-
But this season God said I've been cutting you so I can elevate you.
-
I've been cutting you so I can promote you to the next place.
-
I caused them to turn their backs on you because I needed you to understand that it's in me you live, move and have your being.
-
I made sure they look like they was phony and fake, because I needed you to rely on my strength.
-
Many are the afflictions of the righteous.
-
But somebody screamed but God, what would happen if I told you God's getting ready to heal you from every cut in this season?
-
You thought it was to kill you, you thought it was to make you weak.
-
But God is healing the wound, he's healing the cut, every bruise, he's mending it.
-
So I'm almost done.
-
He says in order for you, in order for you to not only gain strength L Debris Anderson but to also get fruit.
-
He said you gotta be cut.
-
He said I purge it so that it can produce more fruit.
-
Who are you holding up?
-
Because you're settled in your cut, you're settled in your scar, so you're holding back the tomatoes, the apples and the oranges.
-
You feel like if I don't show up, it's not going to get done.
-
Let me help somebody If you don't rise to the occasion or come to the home plate.
-
Do you not know there's another batter in the dugout?
-
Baby, we don't need your gift.
-
Everybody is replaceable.
-
Oh, tune me up one more time.
-
I said everybody is replaceable.
-
I tried to be youthful as possible.
-
Clearly I don't do youth revivals no more.
-
But it's the trick of the enemy that devises its way in the church to make us war against our members.
-
We're one body.
-
Oh, I got to go, but many members.
-
I did an illustration the other week and I'm going to get back on track.
-
I did an illustration the other week and I told my members Pastor Chris I forgot the name of the girl that I used, elder Deborah but I said if she is the left thumb, I'll just redo it.
-
If Elder Shane is the left thumb, elder Liles is the right foot.
-
Lord Paul, I about forgot your name.
-
Paul is the right hand.
-
Okay, elder Liles can never become a left thumb.
-
But what the church does, instead of becoming operational and functional, we try to take over what we desire to be.
-
Y'all don't like me.
-
Me, because I feel like my foot is insignificant.
-
I would rather be a thumb.
-
I try to portray that I can be a thumb, because I feel my left hand is insignificant.
-
I would rather be a foot that's walking into different rooms.
-
I try to portray it and then the spirit of comparison kills.
-
Young people write that in your book Comparison kills.
-
So now, instead of coming into agreement, I have come to a resolve of comparing.
-
Am I gooder than you, better than you, more pliable than you?
-
Or should we be working together?
-
I don't know why I'm here.
-
What would happen to the church if we never looked in comparison to one another, if I never sized up your gift?
-
I don't preach like them, you don't suppose to.
-
I don't sing like them, you never will.
-
I don't have the anointing to speak in tongues like them, you never will.
-
But what would happen, coleman, if we all started?
-
Can Can I illustrate?
-
And I'm going to go, come here, come here, come here.
-
Every man that can Come here, come quick.
-
Every man that can Just stand in line, stand in line and get real close In line In line.
-
Look at y'all, come on, come on.
-
You, a sergeant, you weren't even the first one in what would happen if we all came together like this.
-
Hold on spread back out just go go different directions, move go away we're going to be like atoms and neutrons and molecules.
-
Now come quickly, come on, come on, squeeze, squeeze.
-
What would happen if the body of Christ started doing this?
-
The bible says what would happen if the body of Christ started doing this.
-
The Bible says that for the work of the ministry, the edifying of the body, he said, we're fitly joined together by that which every joint supplier.
-
Let's walk as a unit.
-
Come on, come on, come on.
-
Don't leave out Paul.
-
Come on, ain't nobody missing?
-
Stop.
-
Every time we're the unit.
-
Come here, dr Colleen.
-
Even when we're faced Lord I am so off my notes With a stumbling block, we're not faced with it alone.
-
Y'all missed that.
-
Let me tell y'all how y'all missed that.
-
Stay there, because what most of y'all trying to do?
-
You trying to do this, the unit's there.
-
You trying to be grand, then you get there to the challenge you like.
-
Oh god, in the name of Jesus, oh Lord, I don't understand what that is.
-
Oh Jesus.
-
Oh Lord, while the rest of the unit is in the back saying we ain't even got to that yet.
-
I hope y'all hearing me.
-
But if we went as a unit, hut two, three, hut two, three, boom.
-
She know I love her.
-
Do you see, y'all go ahead?
-
Do you see, y'all go ahead?
-
Do you see?
-
Do you see how more powerful we became?
-
Dr Colleen, aka the stumbling block, couldn't even stand Because men and women of God began to get together and the Bible said that one can chase a thousand I thought I had a church and two can chase 10,000.
-
What would happen if all of 567 people in Chosen City got together and began to defeat the enemy themselves?
-
Tell your neighbor, tell them we're more powerful together.
-
Okay, all right, I'm going to try to talk the rest of this.
-
Here is how you're able to confront it.
-
Here's my first point.
-
You got to understand you're the origin for it.
-
Tell somebody I'm the origin for it.
-
What does that mean?
-
Pastor Q he in the text Ye, have not chosen me, I chose you.
-
Our biggest issue has been we've relied our choice on the people.
-
They never chose you Elder Deborah 30, about to get delivered, watch this.
-
They never chose you, carlo, and they never will.
-
I know you were taught all church people are lovely ducklings.
-
They just love the Lord.
-
Yeah, they do.
-
But they also were assigned strategically to put some fire under your feet, trying to say because all God was intending to say was will you bow to what they said or will you honor what my word told you you were?
-
He said my word is even exalted above my name.
-
So many of us are trying to live this walk in the shadow of somebody else.
-
But tell somebody, I'm the origin for this.
-
I'm the first one to do it in my family.
-
I'm the first one to write the book.
-
I'm the first one to get the business started.
-
I'm the first one to do the job.
-
I am the origin.
-
I don't need a blueprint, I don't need no kind of other results.
-
I don't know where I'm headed.
-
I'm just going with God because I'm the origin for it.
-
When you know you're the origin, you have another confidence that can't be duplicated or denied.
-
Somebody shout confidence.
-
Confidence is a state of feeling certain about a truth, of something.
-
It is not possible to say with confidence how much of the increase that you would get, because if God told you to do something but confidence is I know he told me to do it and it's going to work.
-
Quick, quick plug.
-
I share with Pastor Bowers all the time when we're talking in certain settings as it relates to this church.
-
I tell him in a minute, man, god's going to do what he said.
-
He's going to do Mind you.
-
At the same time I'm saying it, pastor Chris, he's going to do Mind you.
-
At the same time I'm saying it, pastor Chris, I ain't got $60,000.
-
Oh God, somebody walk with me.
-
So he hollering capital campaign and he feeling like oh man, what's you know what's next?
-
Brother, god's going to do it.
-
The worst feeling sometimes is when you got to hear the truth of what God said back to you in your disappointment.
-
I'm going to run that again.
-
When you got to hear the truth of what God said back to you in your disappointment, the truth of the matter is it is going to work, but it's not going to work until you go through some stuff.
-
The truth of the matter is the money is going to be there, but it's not going to happen until you lose some members.
-
Elder Smith, bring me that water.
-
I said God, why do we have to lose people in order to gain?
-
Take a top off man.
-
God, this ain't my normal edge to y'all.
-
Bless his heart.
-
You look good.
-
He's so embarrassed.
-
That thing gonna be cussing later.
-
I'm just joking that.
-
Y'all do know that's my oldest brother, right?
-
okay.
-
I wonder about walking Lord.
-
He said his preacher was gonna be cussing.
-
That's my brother.
-
Well, he'd been slapping me in my head since I was like that.
-
Yeah, the title didn't change that.
-
But why is it that we have to go through the persecution in order to get the good?
-
And for many of us, we fail in the accomplishment because we feel like it's not going to ever work out?
-
Some of you got plans, you got books in you.
-
You got so many big ideas but you've put them on the table because you got so many other areas that look like it's not going to work.
-
If you can start a church in a pandemic, I thought I was going to have at least about 70 people.
-
If you can start a church in a pandemic, I thought I was going to have at least about 70 people.
-
If you can start a church in the pandemic, can't nothing stop you.
-
I don't care if the head missionary of the Jubilee Department leave tomorrow.
-
If you can start a church in the pandemic, nothing can stop you.
-
It has to understand.
-
You gotta have the confidence that you're the origin for what God wants to do through you.
-
Bible says in 1st Timothy 4 and 12 don't let anyone think less of you because you are young.
-
Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity.
-
You can't be stopped.
-
Declare that from your mouth.
-
I can't be stopped.
-
Come on, look how weak you said it.
-
Say I can't be stopped.
-
Declare that from your mouth.
-
I can't be stopped.
-
Come on, look how weak you said it.
-
Say I can't be stopped, can't be stopped.
-
That's number one.
-
Number two here it is I'm hastened.
-
Not only are you the origin for it, but I'm ordained to conquer it.
-
Scripture says we're still in the Bible, first, john 15, john 15 16.
-
It says ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you.
-
My god, I've ordained you that you should go and produce.
-
I'm ordained to conquer the places that seem hard.
-
Being ordained to conquer the places that seem hard, being ordained to conquer requires you to alter every other mindset and thought process you may have had previously.
-
It's always going to be according to what you believe and the enemy understands.
-
I cannot kill, listen to this.
-
I cannot kill the believer, but I do desire to kill their belief.
-
And for many of you, your belief has been stagnant because it's all been looking real shaky.
-
Okay, let me bring it.
-
I don't want to preach you and you miss it.
-
Is there anybody in this room that's been feeling like you know I get God, but it's been looking a real shaky lately.
-
Okay, let me help you again.
-
Am I doing good?
-
Let me help you again.
-
The first step to deliverance you ready is honesty.
-
I know they told you, let me help you, come to church for me.
-
I know they told you deliverance was get it out, baby.
-
Get out yeah.
-
Sound like a car that won't crank and you get up off that floor doing the same thing you done when you got down there.
-
Because deliverance, oh, oh, lord, let me just well, I'm gonna talk.
-
I've already killed my little voice.
-
I can't stand the monsters in this church.
-
Let me get delivered.
-
That's my honesty.
-
Hallelujah, um, because the truth is the reason why many of us can't get delivered, sadie, is because honesty starts revealing us.
-
You don't really want to see you.
-
Oh, y'all better get up off me.
-
It's an ugly thing when I gotta see myself, because everything on myself, I know is not good.
-
It's okay, you can be the vice president of Wells Fargo, you can be the national teacher of the year, you can be the executive department of overseas and and missions and all of these glitz and glamour.
-
But just like Michael Jackson said, when the man is in the mirror, it puts you in a different light and a different perspective.
-
But you can't get delivered until you're able to be honest.
-
So I'm going to try you again.
-
How many people have been saying I've been rocking with God, but it's been looking a little shaky lately?
-
See it, don't mean you're not safe by a clock on the wall.
-
I've been safe all day long.
-
Don't mean I ain't safe, it just means I'm still a branch.
-
The vine is the one that's perfect.
-
But the branch gets weak.
-
The branch gets unstable.
-
The branch gets old, bark starts falling off of it.
-
Gotta get with it sometime and pruned, gotta be cut.
-
But when you understand that you're ordained to conquer every place, none of that affects your functionality.
-
Here's another help.
-
What you are in life is not just for chosen city.
-
Maybe pastor will let me do a leadership something another time.
-
But I got to say this one thing you don't join this church just to be in this church.
-
I'm trying, but you join this church showing up saying I'm a part of your answer.
-
Watch this.
-
I love him.
-
You do too.
-
I probably love him a little bit more than y'all, though, because I've been here for a while.
-
I love him.
-
I started with this church when it was bags of garden soil and stuff on the stage.
-
I came in here, elder Meoshe, and I said I know this ain't God.
-
I'm supposed to be over here.
-
I said I'm tripping.
-
I done fell off in my prayer life.
-
Man of God said you see it?
-
You see it, don't you?
-
I was like.
-
But if I would have relied on my feelings.
-
I would have never entered the portals of what God had for me in my calling.
-
I couldn't become executive pastor in the place that I was.
-
Lord, help me.
-
You got to know that when you join, you come with something.
-
The key is what is it?
-
How do I get it?
-
How do I get it?
-
How do I discover it?
-
What's going to open my mind?
-
What's going to make me work?
-
Can I tell you how?
-
It's real simple.
-
It don't come from Pastor Walt.
-
It don't come from Pastor Q, it don't come from Elder Liles.
-
It comes from your devotion and your personal time with God.
-
Here it is, god.
-
Show me, me.
-
Show me the steps I need to take.
-
Show me how to deal with that woman, a part of that department that you know.
-
You called me to be on, but every time I show up, she give me harassment.
-
Show me, but we don't like that because we like operating at our own will.
-
The gist of my message today, in telling you that you are the one, is simply to tell you you're the one that he's calling for, you're the one that he's challenging, you're the one that he's pruning and cutting, and if you miss the fact that he selected you and you get in your feelings and try to bypass and manipulate the selection.
-
It's going to make the process longer.
-
Some of the stuff you in is not because of God playing Watch me.
-
Some of the stuff you in is not because you connected to this church.
-
Some of the stuff you in is because of your decision.
-
Many people are walking away from the faith because they decide they don't like the cut.
-
They decide I don't want to be a branch no more, because it gets to a place where all of our processes, all of the mindset that he set up for us, gets toiled and wrapped up in people.
-
Young people, let me tell you something.
-
Pastor said this one the youth message Don't get to the place college and beyond that.
-
You wrap your mindset up in people.
-
They tell us all the time you hear it used to be on the war show and all a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
-
Here's my philosophy If you can get your mind out, your life will follow All right.
-
Some of you not church hurt.
-
Your mind is just low.
-
Your mind gave in to the deception.
-
She wasn't your enemy, she was your assignment.
-
She ain't going to talk to me like that.
-
That, that, that she, your assignment, that which frustrates you you're the answer to.
-
But because, enemy, to play me down?
-
Because I feel prophetic.
-
Now just play me down.
-
I ain't nobody.
-
They don't mess my voice up with these low whack monitors.
-
Play me now Because the enemy knows if you ever get to the place here.
-
It is where you agree with God.
-
Text says can two walk together Except they agree?
-
Most of us try to translate and say how can two walk together Except they agree?
-
It never said how.
-
When you say how can, it becomes methodology.
-
Then you're trying to find a strategy for it.
-
It says can two.
-
Then you're trying to find a strategy for it.
-
It says can to.
-
Can to means that there's already agreement there.
-
Here's the thing.
-
If we're not walking together unless we agree anyway, I ain't got time to compromise what god said about me.
-
If we're not in agreement, most of y'all trying to figure out how?
-
What's the strategy?
-
What's this, what's that?
-
It ain.
-
What's this, what's that?
-
It ain't no strategy, it's just agreement.
-
Agree with God.
-
When you agree with God, you agree with his creation.
-
I don't have to like everything about you, but I love you for you and it's not.
-
I'm sorry, brother, try another time.
-
It's not.
-
I'm sorry, brother, try another time.
-
It's not.
-
I love you enough so I can go to heaven.
-
You ever heard people like that in Alabama?
-
They do that stuff in Shelby, north Carolina.
-
I don't know about Charlotte, I'm from Shelby.
-
They be like, I love them so I can go to heaven, but I don't like their ways.
-
You ever heard that?
-
Can I help you?
-
You still suck, not suck, you stuck.
-
Sorry, blooper, I won't be back up for a while.
-
God is talking in this room.
-
God is trying to tell you something.
-
I'm so glad I'm at home.
-
I ain't really on the road.
-
Woo, all right.
-
Seriously, though, you become stuck even with that mentality.
-
Why?
-
Because that's still a barrier for you.
-
I don't like their ways, but I still love them.
-
To go to heaven.
-
No, that's still a barrier for you.
-
Every time they come in your presence, you're triggered.
-
Every time you smell their white diamond down the hallway, you're in your name.
-
May not never make it on the door of the office, but every time you pass the office in, it's a barrier for you.
-
But God says the connection to ask me for whatever you want text, I'm still there comes through the connection of my son.
-
Then the son said but you can't love me if you love everybody.
-
You got to love every branch on the tree, because we all rooted together.
-
You are the one to make the difference.
-
You're the one to start a new trend.
-
Everybody ain't got to be fake, everybody ain't got to hold the grudge.
-
Aren't you the one to show them a better way?
-
Aren't you the one to say, uh-uh, not in Chosen City.
-
Build, overcome, be like Jesus.
-
Everybody's standing, I'm done.
-
Well, thank you, holy Ghost.
-
That's yeah.
-
That ain't none of that stuff.
-
Darn, that was some good stuff too.
-
Oh well, I gave what he wanted me to give.
-
You are the one he ain't looking for, nobody else.
-
Stop the excuses of not wanting the cut.
-
The reason you're fruitful is because he got the purge.
-
You, you know the people define success.
-
Watch this pastor, al, you're going to like this.
-
People define success by wealth and profits and investments.
-
Can I tell you what real success is?
-
Come on, talk that thing.
-
Tell me if that's cute.
-
Real success, dr Colleen, is your willingness to be obedient to God.
-
I know it's not popular, it's not always convenient, you don't always get to tell your side of the story and most of the time you will be misunderstood.
-
But word says Paul, if ye be willing and obedient, and and and and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.
-
He said you'll bear more fruit.
-
And fruit text, said one translation, new Living Translation, I think it was said fruit that lasts.
-
And then King James says fruit that should remain, some stuff you ain't gonna have to give up, god just gonna give you an abundance of it.
-
You seeking God for healing, he said I got your healing, I got your credit score, I got your family members, I got your new house, I got everything lined up for you If ye be willing and obedient my whole gist.
-
You cannot get the benefits unless you remain connected in Christ.
-
To live is Christ, to die is gain.
-
Kill your excuses, cut off your malice, clean your heart, prepare for the next.
-
But there's no next until you get delivered.
-
I'm going to tell my church when I get there, as soon as I get there, I strongly believe in this season.
-
God's not taking us until next, until you uncringe from your offenses, until you really get delivered.
-
I know they told you he'll use a crack kid, He'll use a jackass, he'll use that, that, yeah, but for how long?
-
You tapping me?
-
Okay, I'll make sure I love you, man.
-
You know I do.
-
How long, how long do you have to be crippled and still try to minister?
-
How long are you going to deal with that childhood trauma and still try to minister?
-
How long are you going to deal with that childhood trauma and still try to serve?
-
Is there ever a place of healing?
-
Why is God limited to just leave you with that and still make you serve in ministry?
-
There is a place of wholeness in God, in God, in God, in God.
-
Somebody shout in God, in God.
-
Truth is, I cannot, colleen, do it by myself.
-
If it was up to Quintero, it would not happen.
-
I wouldn't speak to him, I'd go by them, I'd probably punch them.
-
I'm sorry, but because thank you, Mary Mary it's the God in me.
-
You're looking so fresh, you're looking so clean Because of God inside of me.
-
Him in me, hallelujah sanctifies my witness.
-
Him in me tells me take the high road.
-
Him in me tells me to kill your flesh.
-
You sit down so I can be exalted.
-
And he said I'll be exalted even among the heathen.
-
Thank you Lord, thank you Lord.
-
This ain't no weak battle.
-
This ain't no weak turf.
-
You're a believer, you're the one.
-
That's the strong one.
-
Kim, flex on them.
-
I'm done.
-
Every hand lifted.
-
Pastor, I'm just going to release a general prayer, if that's fine, and then I'll let you come and I'm going to go preach again.
-
You should come preach for me, that would be nice before I pray chosen.
-
hear me.
-
If you never hear anything else I say I told you I probably won't be back up for a while.
-
I messed up today but seriously, I love y'all to death.
-
But God is speaking this word.
-
It's not a chosen city thing, it's not drama, it's not that.
-
It's a universal word that we can't go to the next place until we come in agreement with God.
-
Until the branch recognizes the divine In him is the fullness of the Godhead.
-
Every hand lifted.
-
I'm praying, father.
-
I thank you for these, your children, lord, thank you for every obstacle, thank you for them overcoming every challenge.
-
Father, I pray over their spirit, over their purpose, over everything that you've assigned their hands to do.
-
Father, you've assigned a good work in their life that can't be duplicated or denied.
-
Father, I pray for godly connections today, that they connect with people that won't distort their destiny, but, god, they connect to people that's going to feed their future.
-
Father, I pray even now against the wicked one that would try to come and sift up what you have placed inside of them.
-
Father, we cut off the raven even now, in the name of the Lord Jesus.
-
God, thank you that their harvest won't be destroyed.
-
But, god, what you have begun in them is a good work, and you said in your word he that begun in them a good work shall complete it.
-
Until the day of Jesus Christ, lord, we give you praise for what you've done.
-
We thank you for stamina.
-
We thank you for stamina.
-
We thank you for endurance.
-
We thank you for agape love, god, love is shed abroad in our hearts.
-
You said, and they'll know we are Christians by our love one to another.
-
Father, I pray even now that love would break the ceiling of this building, that everything that we do, everything that we say, every time we serve, every time we minister, we would minister, oh God, with the love of Christ, and allow your love to draw them closer to you.
-
It's not about membership but, god, it's about relationship.
-
So, father, as our hands are extended, we say charge us again, charge us again that we are the one, you're not looking for another.
-
We're the called out ones to save a dying generation.
-
We give you the glory, we give you the praise in jesus names.
-
Clap those hands and release them like thunder and shout.
-
It is so in this room it is, hallelujah it is.
-
So come on, family, let's celebrate god for a rhema word, a word for this season, a word for this moment.
