  1. Hallelujah.

  2. I just want to thank you for one of my favorite hymns of all time, because he has been so good, he's made a way and he saved my soul, and I just want to Thank you.

  3. I just want to Thank you, I just want to Thank you.

  4. I just want to, I just want to thank you.

  5. I just want to thank you.

  6. I just want to thank you, lord.

  7. Woo.

  8. Family, there is a word from the Lord this morning and this atmosphere has certainly been properly charged and set for a miracle, certainly been properly charged and set for a breakthrough.

  9. Can we honor the man of God?

  10. I guess Psalmist, my brother, brother Chris, celebrate him as he's still worshiping the Lord?

  11. Amen.

  12. Amen.

  13. He's been with us all day.

  14. He'll be with us all day, 8, 10, and 4 o'clock.

  15. Amen.

  16. Listen, family.

  17. We continue our journey as we continue to talk about the fact, the work of the Holy Spirit.

  18. But now we're kind of trying to look at the work of the Holy Spirit as it relates to spiritual warfare.

  19. And today the word of the Lord brings us to mark the fifth chapter, mark five reading, first reading, the first five verses.

  20. We always enjoy.

  21. Reading the word of God together helps it to connect, helps us to remember what the Lord is saying.

  22. So I'm going to ask that we do so at this time Ready, set, read.

  23. So they arrived at the other side of the lake, in the region of the Gerasenes.

  24. When Jesus climbed out of the boat, a man possessed by an evil spirit came out from the tombs to meet him.

  25. This man lived in the burial caves and could no longer be restrained, even with a chain.

  26. Whenever he was put into chains and shackles, as he often was, he snapped the chains from his wrists and smashed the shackles.

  27. No one was strong enough to subdue him.

  28. Day and night he wandered among the burial caves and in the hills, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones, and I would just like to use as a subject today, as the Holy Spirit would allow.

  29. You won't leave here like you came in Jesus' name.

  30. That's a declaration, it's prophetic, it's real.

  31. If you can receive it, god is up to something this weekend, but you have to be able to receive that for yourself and be able to receive it for your family.

  32. So let's say that one more time out loud you won't leave here like you came in Jesus name.

  33. Now turn to somebody and decree and declare that into their life.

  34. You won't leave here like you came in Jesus name.

  35. Amen, you may be seated in the presence of our Lord.

  36. You ever ask yourself the question how did you get here?

  37. You get here.

  38. Certainly that was a question that had to be in the mind of this unnamed brother who found himself living in the tombs.

  39. The Bible does not give us a great amount of detail about his life, but there are some things that we can deduce if we look carefully.

  40. First and foremost, he started out life, it appears, just like any other man.

  41. He was trying to raise his family.

  42. Perhaps.

  43. If he had one, he probably had a customary job at that time that would have been in the line with fishing, perhaps, or carpentry as we know, jesus was a carpenter.

  44. So perhaps he started off life just like every last one of us.

  45. Because I need you to remember something if you encounter me on the darkest day of my life, I don't need you to forget that perhaps you just caught me in the moment, but God is not done with me yet.

  46. He's caught.

  47. He's in this space in his life where we don't know when, but at some point on the journey his life started to shift.

  48. We're not sure, but at some point he started to hear voices in his head.

  49. That's still a phenomenon that goes on today.

  50. There are medical diagnosis that you can get.

  51. As it relates to things of that nature, there's nothing to be ashamed of.

  52. The only time you should be ashamed is if you're not willing to get the help that you need.

  53. But what we know from studying the bible is that what he was dealing with was beyond a mental health condition.

  54. Because I need us to be clear while mental health conditions, as it relates to mental things, are real schizophrenia is real everything that is a mental health condition is not demonic.

  55. But, at the same time, everything that's demonic is not a physical or mental health condition.

  56. In a nutshell, demonic influence is real.

  57. Y'all ever heard or seen people say that thing?

  58. One of the biggest tricks of the enemy is to make us believe that he didn't exist.

  59. That's a good one.

  60. It's not in the Bible, but I like it Because, at the end of the day, if I don't believe a thing exists or if I don't address a thing, then I will never deal with it head on.

  61. And I want to be honest with you.

  62. Demonic influence and spiritual warfare is real.

  63. I've been saying week after week wet family.

  64. The word of God is clear.

  65. We wrestle not against flesh and blood.

  66. Spiritual warfare is real.

  67. This individual is not dealing with a mental health crisis.

  68. We know it for reading the text.

  69. He's dealing with a demonic attack on his life.

  70. The demonic attack gets so strong that it takes over everything concerning him.

  71. While the Bible doesn't tell us a lot about his background, we can deduce some things.

  72. We can deduce that if he had a job, if the demon started to speak up at the job, it wasn't but a matter of time before he had that job anymore.

  73. Amen, somebody, we're gonna be real.

  74. Let's talk about it.

  75. The bible doesn't tell us whether or not he was married, but make no mistake about it that, uh, if he came home and he didn't have a job and and, and the wife said, baby, what happened?

  76. And he started talking about what someone on the inside was saying, that he came out on the outside, just being honest, without the wow, he probably didn't have a wife either.

  77. Can we just be real about it?

  78. And if it's true that he had a job and he had a wife and he had some children, after he lost the job and after he lost the wife, it was just a matter of time before he lost this connection with his family.

  79. You didn't call it, but the same thing has happened to some of you.

  80. It was like a cycle of things getting worse and worse in your life and you were dealing with loss after loss, after loss after loss.

  81. And even though we're talking about a brother this morning, I don't want the sisters to think that it's not applicable to you that is not applicable to you.

  82. Your best day, you can find yourself under attack of the enemy and find yourself dealing with loss after loss and you're trying to get better, but it seems to get worse before it gets better.

  83. And here is this man that, after losing everything at some point on his journey the demons, the spirits, spirits, the stronghold, the addiction, the tears, the burden of it all, the pressure of it all being misunderstood it took over.

  84. And when it took over, several things happened in his life all at once.

  85. First thing that happened is he found himself ostracized, because Luke's account and Mark's account tell us that he found himself in a situation where it got so bad Luke said it got so bad that he started walking around naked.

  86. He started living as a subhuman.

  87. It got so bad that they tried to shackle him and they tried to chain him.

  88. And when they couldn't shackle him and they couldn't chain him, they forced him to live out in the tombs.

  89. You can relate with living in the tombs, matter of fact media team, if you put the graphic up, I want you to understand so you can have a visual of what this man was living in and what he was going through tombs, and and and the ancient, ancient middle eastern culture were spaces and places that held dead things.

  90. So what the text is teaching us?

  91. That it got so bad for this man that he was forced to move from one dead situation to another, from one dead end to another.

  92. Can anybody relate to this man?

  93. I've been forced from one bad decision to another.

  94. I've been forced to one bad relationship to another, from one bad job to another, from one bad friendship to another, from one bad church experience to another.

  95. I've been going from dead end to dead end and I find myself living amongst the tombs.

  96. There are some people that have come into the house of God that can relate to this man because, truth of the matter, if I were to be honest, I become prophetically, because I understand that there are several of you that came to church today.

  97. You hadn't been in a while, but the Lord brought you here, not by happenstance, but he brought you here to get you out of the tombs.

  98. You've been in the tomb too long.

  99. And here is the thing about living amongst the tombs is not just enough to come out of the tombs, the tomb has to come out of you.

  100. You deliverance would not have come to this man.

  101. If perhaps somebody had a comment, offered the man a new house on Main Street, if somebody had offered the man a new opportunity, deliverance wouldn't have come to the man because guess what, even though he would have had a new house, he would have had those same old demons living on the inside.

  102. And I want to talk to somebody and say God is not necessarily concerned about changing your geographical location on the outside, but good God, almighty, he trying to get rid of that dead stuff on the inside.

  103. And so we have come into the house of God today to decree and to declare that you won't leave here like you came in Jesus name.

  104. Can you receive that for yourself?

  105. That you're not going to leave here like you came in Jesus name.

  106. No matter what, this is spiritual warfare.

  107. No matter what, I'm going to get mine today.

  108. You ought to declare to somebody right now I'm going to get mine today because I can't leave here like I came.

  109. And it's going to happen in the name of Jesus.

  110. Somebody is going to come out of the tombs and the tomb is going to come out of you.

  111. As he's in the tomb, his life appears to get worse before it gets better.

  112. I want to talk to several of you in the house this morning because you can relate to the fact that you love God, but it has gotten worse before it gets better.

  113. They tried to shackle him.

  114. You've already ostracized me.

  115. Now you're trying to shackle him.

  116. You've already ostracized me.

  117. Now you're trying to shackle me and they try to shackle him and and bind him up.

  118. And I'll tell you one thing if a demon possessed man wouldn't allow himself to be shackled, can I talk to some folks that's filled with the Holy Ghost and say that if the demon possessed man ain't gonna allow himself to be shackled, how much longer are you gonna allow stuff to shackle you?

  119. He couldn't be shackled, he couldn't be bound.

  120. But he has a soul pain.

  121. He has something that is so deep to his soul he's.

  122. He's bouncing from tomb to tomb, trying to find refuge in dead places, realizing that he'll never find what he needs in dead places.

  123. Can I talk to something?

  124. You're not gonna get what you need in a dead place.

  125. You're not gonna get what you need in a dead relationship.

  126. You're not gonna get what you need in a dead church.

  127. You're not gonna get what you need in a dead relationship.

  128. You're not going to get what you need in a dead church.

  129. You're not going to get what you need in a in a dead-end job.

  130. You're not going to get what you need in the midst of death.

  131. And so, since he can't find what he needs, he starts engaging in self-injury.

  132. The Bible says he starts cutting himself.

  133. I've read on this because I've had people that I've known personally to deal with cutting, and especially among young people.

  134. Do you know that the reason that people cut themselves, believe it or not, is because chemicals that are released in the moment of cut?

  135. While to us that would be painful Check this out For them.

  136. It brings relief to the pain of their soul.

  137. Think about how much pain you got to be in to bring yourself more pain to make yourself feel better.

  138. Some of y'all don't even understand that type of pain.

  139. Not trying to kill myself because I could he could have easily done that but he cuts himself to take some of the pain away.

  140. And then, if you ever encountered a cutter after a while, you feel guilty for harming yourself.

  141. I'm self-mutilating.

  142. Can I talk to somebody right now and say you ain't gotta self self mutilate, but I understand why you do it.

  143. Some of us are walking around here like suicide bombers.

  144. When I was in the military, the most dangerous adversary was not the traditional force on force combat, see traditional.

  145. You trying to say your life and and take mine.

  146. And I'm trying to say mine and take yours.

  147. That's, that's reasonable.

  148. But if you get somebody you fighting against that says I don't care about my life, I lose my life to take you out, that's a different fight and there are some of y'all like that walking around like suicide bombers.

  149. You will harm yourself to stand ten toes down on something that God doesn't have for you Because you have come to the conclusion that you don't have anything to lose.

  150. Can I talk to some people in the spirit and let you know that there is value in your life.

  151. Stop self harm, stop self sabotage, because God has something greater for you.

  152. He, he's engaged in self hurt, trying to take the pain away, but I I can't skip over the fact that the Bible also declares that there is this how, from the inside, the text says that he howls.

  153. Rep, rep, mark johnson.

  154. It didn't say that the man screamed.

  155. It said he howled animals.

  156. How you got to be in some pain to howl.

  157. I don't remember too many times in the scripture, seeing somebody howl, but his pain was so bad all he could do was howl from the inside.

  158. And because I'm howling, you don't even understand what's coming out of my mouth.

  159. You're probably making fun of me because you don't understand my howl, but a howl suggests that the pain is overtaking my circumstance, overtaking everything concerning me, and I'm at the edge of letting go.

  160. But I want to talk to you.

  161. I want to talk to anybody that can identify with this man that's in the tombs.

  162. You won't leave here where it's here the tombs like you came in Jesus name.

  163. Jesus is the operative word all day.

  164. Jesus is the phrase that pays all week.

  165. It's not in Pastor Walt's name.

  166. It's not in Chosen City, james, but in the name of Jesus.

  167. You won't leave here like you came.

  168. I feel the Holy Ghost in this house, that some people are getting transformed and people are getting set free, not by happenstance or coincidence, but in the name of Jesus.

  169. There's still power in the name of Jesus.

  170. It's the reason.

  171. Society Watch this.

  172. I don't mess with anybody.

  173. I respect everybody's religions, but I'm just tell you the truth.

  174. You've seen it for yourself.

  175. The enemy understands the power of this name the next time they call you to a program or you call you downtown and you get called to do a generic prayer.

  176. They don't mind how you pray, you can ask for anything you want to ask for, but I promise you from personal experience what they'll say is what we're going to ask you to do, pastor, is as you pray, if you don't mind being generic, so you don't offend anybody and don't call on the name of Jesus.

  177. And I never get mad at the person that invites me and asks me not to do that, because I understand we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

  178. They wouldn't have mind if I had called anybody else name, but something started to move on the inside at the thought of us calling on the name of Jesus.

  179. You ought to not wake up in the morning and not call on the name of Jesus.

  180. You ought to not get in your car and not call on the name of Jesus.

  181. You ought to not get in your car and not call on the name of Jesus.

  182. You ought to not come in church and not call on the name of Jesus.

  183. I, I need everybody in the house that that knows that there's something about the name and still works.

  184. And in the name of Jesus, you won't leave here like you came in Jesus name.

  185. It's getting worse for this man.

  186. It appears as if it's getting a whole lot worse before it gets better.

  187. He's howling, he's cutting himself, he's alone in a dead place, in a dead situation.

  188. Luke tells us.

  189. He's literally naked and living like a subhuman.

  190. It's getting worse before it gets better.

  191. But I want to remind us that that old song is true.

  192. I'm so glad, pastor Chris, you've blessed us, you in the choir, because we got to have a diversity of worship songs, and one of those old choir songs that comes to mind is that when you are waiting on the Lord and it seems as if he's forgotten about you, let's be real.

  193. If you were in a tomb and you cut yourself in howling and people have ostracized you and tried to chain you up, you stop believing in everything.

  194. That's why I don't judge people when they stop believing.

  195. That's why I don't judge people when they stop coming to church.

  196. Uh, uh, elder pier, why I don't judge people when they stop believing.

  197. That's why I don't judge people when they stop coming to church, elder Pierce.

  198. I don't judge.

  199. I pray because I understand that sometimes life happens to us all and I understand that I need to tell them.

  200. If I could tell them one thing through a song, I'd take them back to that old choir song that says that he's an on-time God yes, he is.

  201. Now, if you knew the church, you may not know this song.

  202. You can find it on YouTube.

  203. It says he's an on-time God.

  204. Yes, he is.

  205. It says that what?

  206. That he may not come when you want him, but what family?

  207. He'll be there right on time.

  208. I wish I had a witness.

  209. He's a on time God yes, he is.

  210. Would suggest that, just about when you got your last howl, just about when you're about to cut the vein that's going to cost you to lose it all.

  211. That's when the Lord tends to show up, and because I know that you are not going to leave here like you came, the first thing that I need to tell you is that I know this is true because Jesus is fully aware of what you are going through and is engaged in your fight.

  212. Can I tell you that?

  213. Listen to this, seriously listen.

  214. Jesus is fully aware and is engaged in your fight.

  215. I need you to remember this one.

  216. Jesus is fully aware.

  217. I'm talking prophetically, I'm looking right at you.

  218. Jesus is fully aware.

  219. You thought he didn't know, you thought he didn't care, but the word of God declares that Jesus is fully aware.

  220. And not only is he aware, he is engaged.

  221. It'd be one thing for you to know I'm going through, but it's a whole nother, when you are engaged, can I tell you that he's aware and he is engaged.

  222. Let me prove it to you.

  223. In the text, verse six through nine, jesus was still some distance away.

  224. Verse 6 says the man saw him, ran to meet him and bowed low before him.

  225. There was a fight going on.

  226. Jesus is here in the fight, the man is here in the fight and the demons are here in the fight.

  227. That's your life.

  228. The Lord is here, you are here and the demons are here, but I want you to know that Jesus is engaged and he's aware of your condition.

  229. The man, while Jesus is still some distance away, saw Jesus.

  230. This is the man talking.

  231. The man is possessed with demons.

  232. We can deduce that this is the man and not the demons talking, because the demons would not have wanted to run to Jesus.

  233. So the man who is cut, the man who has been shackled, the man who is tired, the man who is naked, who has been overran by demons, has just enough strength.

  234. Somebody said just enough has just enough strength to run to Jesus.

  235. Oh wee, I want to talk to somebody who ain't been here in a while.

  236. I want to talk to somebody who's been here every Sunday that the Lord honors the fact that, with just a little bit of strength you had left, you pressed your way on the day.

  237. The Lord said it doesn't take much, with a little bit of strength that you had you pressed on anyhow.

  238. The Lord said it didn't take much With the little bit of strength that you had you pressed on anyhow.

  239. The Lord said to tell you well done thy good and faithful servant, because with everything that you're going through, you could have made 185 excuses not to come, but you pressed your way anyhow, and he runs to Jesus.

  240. One of the things and one of the ways that we run to Jesus in this dynamic is when we press our way into worship, when we press our way into praise, when we press our way into a posture of prayer.

  241. When I lay prostrate, meaning when I lay flat at the altar, you ever see Pastor Walt laying flat at the altar.

  242. It's not that always something is so bad, but every now and then that's the best way I know how to run to Jesus.

  243. And if I run to him, what's crazy is I ain't got to get to him.

  244. Pastor Chris, if I head in his direction and he puts his eyes on me, he'll meet me right where I am, which suggests I ain't got to be a fast runner.

  245. Which suggests that sometimes I might not even run the right route, which suggests I may go the wrong way in my trying to get to him.

  246. But if my heart is right and if my heart is pure, I press toward him with words like pass me not, oh gentle Savior, and hear my humble cry.

  247. And while on others thou art calling, do not pass me by.

  248. If you, in spiritual warfare, you got to know some of the songs of our faith, I'm crying Savior, oh Savior hear my humble cry.

  249. That's why I had to stay in the office a few minutes longer before I came out here, because I had to go into deeper prayer, not for me, but for you.

  250. You see, the problem is that I know in the spirit that there are many of us that are still in the tomb.

  251. And I say Lord, if the atmosphere is right, they'll lift up their hands as a posture of them running to you.

  252. If the atmosphere is right, they'll pray.

  253. If the atmosphere is right, they'll call on your name, god, because there's time for them to come out of the tomb.

  254. I declare that in this house.

  255. It's time for you I'm talking to you to come out of the tomb, and it's time for the tomb to come out of you.

  256. In spiritual warfare, the man is talking, but watch verse 7.

  257. As soon as you try, as soon as you try To do what God has called you to do the Bible is clear Every time that we want to do good, guess what family Evil is always present.

  258. Verse 6 was the man, but watch verse 7.

  259. Verse 7 is the demon.

  260. I'm going to prove it to you in a second.

  261. With a shriek, he screamed why are you interfering with me, jesus, son of the most high God.

  262. In the name of God, I beg you, don't torture me.

  263. Verse 6 was the man, but verse 7 was the demons.

  264. Verse 6 was the man, verse 7 was the demons.

  265. Sunday morning, it was the man, but Monday morning on the job, it was the demon.

  266. When you said I do, it was the man.

  267. But when she got on your nerve, it was the man.

  268. But when she got on your nerve, it was the demon.

  269. When that baby was cuddly and cute in your arms, it was the man.

  270. But when a teenager they start talking back, it was the demon.

  271. I want to talk to some people in here and tell you that I can always tell when I'm talking to somebody whether I'm talking to the human or whether I'm talking to the demon, and it's simply about the words that come out of your mouth.

  272. I am a leader.

  273. I, I, I.

  274. I've been leading a long time.

  275. I lead in church and in business and etc.

  276. And all of this.

  277. And I can always tell when I'm having a staff meeting and my staff didn't show up but instead they sent their representative to the Zoom call and it was the demon.

  278. You know how I could tell?

  279. I could tell by the words that come out of their mouth.

  280. Oh, I can always tell when I show up at the family reunion, instead of my cousin showing up, my cousin didn't come, instead he sent his representative to the demon.

  281. You know how?

  282. I know Because as soon as I got there, they said something sideways.

  283. I can always tell when I get to the job and it's not the co-worker there, it's the demon.

  284. How?

  285. Because the first thing that came out of their mouth was something that was in opposition to what God has decreed and declared.

  286. I can always tell when you go to the hospital and it was not the doctor talking, talking, no, it was the demon, because the doctor said we've done all that we can do and and there is no help.

  287. But that ain't what my god said.

  288. And I want to talk to some people right here and remind you that in this semen season, that too many of you have been letting the demon do too much of the talking.

  289. You have been letting the demon do too much of the talking.

  290. You've been letting the demon do too much of the talking.

  291. Fear, language is demonic, because the Bible declares that God has not given us a spirit of fear.

  292. So every time somebody starts talking about what they're afraid of.

  293. It's demonic.

  294. When you start talking about the fact that you don't know what God has called you to do, all of a sudden, I'm a concern for you, because that's something that the majority of Christians deal with, but that's not God.

  295. So what spirit are you dealing with if you don't know the call that's on your life?

  296. What spirit has you so tangled up that you can't hear the voice of God?

  297. Because God declared my sheep shall know my voice.

  298. And I want to talk to you and let you know that in this text we see what happens when the demon starts to talk.

  299. When the demon starts to talk, watch what happens in this moment of spiritual warfare.

  300. I want to show you something that perhaps you've never seen before.

  301. When you look at verse 7 carefully, look at what the demon says.

  302. He screamed why are you interfering with me?

  303. We understand that part, but I want you to look at the next part.

  304. Why are you fearing with me Jesus, son of the most high God?

  305. In the name of God, I beg you don't torture me.

  306. Look this up when you get home.

  307. It's crazy.

  308. In ancient mythology, in world religions not just Judaism, christian or Christianity it has been a concept, a superstition that was believed that if you know the name of a demon that is possessing somebody, if you call the name of the demon, you could control the demon.

  309. So when you look at verse 7, what we see as a normal conversation watch verse 7 is actually spiritual warfare, because Jesus has shown up and your demon ain't going down without a fight.

  310. Notice that at this juncture of Jesus ministry, nobody really knew that he was the son of the most high God.

  311. How is it that the demons know more about God sometimes than we do?

  312. But the demon was not calling his name out from a place of reverence.

  313. Look it up if you don't believe me.

  314. He was calling his name because demonic folk are manipulative.

  315. You ever had a manipulator in your life.

  316. They'll say whatever need to be said at the right time.

  317. They'll show up with cocoa butter and rub your feet and tell you how good your braids look.

  318. They'll do whatever they gotta say to get what they trying to get, to pull you on in, because that's what a demonic influence does.

  319. You better stop being manipulated by everything that come out of folk mouth so that demon talk, that good talk.

  320. Look at it.

  321. Verse 7 again Jesus, son of Verse 7, again, jesus, son of the most high God.

  322. He's trying to control Jesus and control the situation.

  323. When he realized that doesn't work, he starts to call on another name.

  324. In the name of God, I beg you, don't torture me, because the demon understands that this is spiritual warfare.

  325. But I want you to know something carefully watch verse 8.

  326. Let me tell you why.

  327. The demon is talking like this and is fighting with everything in in their lives to keep this man bound.

  328. The demon is fighting.

  329. You Hear this because Jesus has already moved on your behalf.

  330. Look at verse 8.

  331. For Jesus had already said to the spirit come out of the man, you evil spirit.

  332. Can I tell you some two things?

  333. The Lord sees you.

  334. Now wait on it to manifest.

  335. Watch this.

  336. I just told y'all a few minutes ago that one of the things that we have to do is when we're going through, is use everything that's in us to run towards Jesus.

  337. When we run towards Jesus, we run towards Jesus and in our mind we're thinking that God is not aware and we're thinking that God has not seen us and we're thinking that God does not understand.

  338. Then what we're going through, what the reality is, is when you look at this man's situation, while the man that was living in the tombs, that was cutting himself and howling and living naked and going from dead situation to dead situation, while he was trying to figure it out, you got it.

  339. Jesus had already worked it out.

  340. While he was hoping that the Lord would see him, not only had the Lord seen him where he was, the Lord had already commanded the demons to come out.

  341. And now all the man has to do is wait on the manifestation of the move of God.

  342. Can I talk to some people and say don't get caught up in between, uh, god's words and a manifestation.

  343. Some of us give up.

  344. It's already been declared that you're the head.

  345. Us give up.

  346. It's already been declared that you're the head and not the tail.

  347. It's already been declared that you are coming out of this.

  348. It's already been declared it's going to turn around for you.

  349. But because it hadn't manifested yet, now you want to take yourself out where the word of God declares hold on, because help is on the way.

  350. As a matter of fact and we encourage one another right there in the spirit, because somebody needs some encouraging in this house to say you got to hold on between the word and the manifestation.

  351. You got to hold on between the declaration and the destiny.

  352. There's this space between what's been declared and my destiny and I just got to wait on it.

  353. And God is about to move.

  354. I need about 17 witnesses and I'll be number 18 to say that I know that some things have been declared over my life and I know that I'm destined for greatness, but I just got to wait on this thing to manifest Because my help is on the way.

  355. Good God, almighty, it's about to shift for me, it's about to turn for me.

  356. It's already declared that, it's worked out.

  357. I'm just waiting on my ship to come in and I need about a hundred people that don't mind waiting because it's already done, to give God some glory in this place, jesus speaks to the man.

  358. He says to the man Verse 9.

  359. What is your name?

  360. Because Jesus is handling business.

  361. Now he is diving deep into spiritual warfare.

  362. You see, spiritual warfare forces us to deal with not some stuff, but to deal with all of it.

  363. There's certain stuff you'll come in church and you'll tell folk about and it's cool.

  364. But there's another side, there's another chapter.

  365. You won't talk about that one and I'm not suggesting that everything should be broadcasted, but I'm saying everything got to be dealt with.

  366. Watch verse 9.

  367. What is your name?

  368. And he replied my name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man Family.

  369. We got a problem.

  370. Legion is a military term.

  371. Psalm said it would be used by romans to suggest that there was a regiment of at least 6 000 soldiers.

  372. The bible does not tell us exactly how many demons were in this man, but it was enough of them.

  373. That's called themselves legion.

  374. They spoke in unison, like an army.

  375. You know, y'all ever heard an army?

  376. Uh, call cadence.

  377. Y'all ever heard an army or a unit?

  378. Come to attention.

  379. Y'all ever heard is one band, one sound good, god, almighty.

  380. I wish sometimes it may sound weird, but I wish that we could learn a lesson from the demons.

  381. The demons, when they speak, is one band, one sound, because they know the only way they're going to defeat you is if they work together to get the job done.

  382. What would happen if the people of God had that same mentality?

  383. That, when we come, it's one band, one sound?

  384. The sound that they declared was that we are legion because there are many of us inside this man.

  385. It's interesting because perhaps they were trying to intimidate our God to say that there are more of us than it is of you.

  386. Y'all know what that's like.

  387. If you're from the other side of the tracks, you've been in a spot where they didn't want to fight you by themselves.

  388. They called on Pookie and Malchur and Malik because they wanted to say it's more of us than it is of you.

  389. But I like what Jesus shows us here through this text.

  390. The reality is, not only is the man in the tomb dealing with Legion, there are people that I'm preaching to this morning that are dealing with Legion, which suggests that you are dealing with a multifaceted issue.

  391. Your issue is like spaghetti it's just all tied and twisted in together and until you deal with it and to this it's interesting, some of the word that culture used about two years ago, a word that became popular.

  392. You ask folk what their relationship status is.

  393. Y'all come up with the strangest stuff.

  394. It ain't no single, it ain't available.

  395. Well, I'm in an entanglement.

  396. I said entanglement, my goodness.

  397. Well, I'm glad my wife rescued my life a couple years ago.

  398. Good lord, that's what y'all doing in these streets today, entanglements.

  399. But then when our situationships?

  400. Is that what we calling it lord?

  401. But the reality of it is how many of us are in entanglements right now, whether it's with other people or whether it's with other issues.

  402. And the problem is, you will, you're willing to face some of it.

  403. But the lord is saying for your life to be different, for your life never to be the same, you got to deal with the entirety of the entanglement.

  404. You see, legion represents the fact that you may be dealing with, uh, issues from your childhood that you have never dealt with.

  405. You may be dealing with generational curses.

  406. You may be dealing with soul ties.

  407. You may be dealing with mental health.

  408. You may be dealing with generational curses.

  409. You may be dealing with soul ties.

  410. You may be dealing with mental health.

  411. You may be dealing with physical health, and the crazy thing is that many of y'all are dealing with all of that.

  412. And then somebody cheated on you in the process and what happens is now you have a legion of issues and to make matters worse, you add on top of that some things that happen in church, and now you don't even know if you can even go there to get the rescue and the refuge that you need, and all you can do is howl from a tomb because there is nowhere that you've been able to find the help that you need.

  413. What the Lord told me today go to war against Legion.

  414. That's why we prayed additional prayers, because Legion is real.

  415. The Lord said don't be afraid of Legion, but call Legion out.

  416. Today he said because there's somebody here that that they're tired of being in the tombs.

  417. You can look at me, you can shake your head, I know I.

  418. They're tired of being in the tombs.

  419. You can look at me, you can shake your head.

  420. I know I'm not gonna put you on the spot, but you tired of being in the tombs, you tired of being in you.

  421. You tired of this multiplicity of issues that keep you angry, they keep you frustrated, they keep you misunderstood, and so I'm here to declare that legion must die.

  422. Legion has to die, but the only way that legion dies is that legion has to be exposed.

  423. That's why you can't be ashamed.

  424. The enemy wants to keep you ashamed of the fact that you went through some stuff.

  425. About half the folk in the room have been through something like what you never went through.

  426. So why we come here acting like room have been through something like what you went through?

  427. Why we come here acting like we ain't?

  428. Why we ain't come here acting like about half the people in the room ain't dealt with divorce?

  429. If you ain't been divorced, somebody in your family been divorced why we gonna act like half the folk in the room ain't dealt with infidelity?

  430. If you ain't cheated on, some of y'all got some apologizing to do, why we come in the room and act like that?

  431. Others are the only people going through and when the reality is the raw and the real straight.

  432. No, chaser, I don't care how much money you got, I don't care if you on the C-suite and I'm on the non-suite.

  433. Everybody is dealing with legion and the only way to defeat legion is to expose legion.

  434. I ain't hiding no more.

  435. I'm telling the truth that I struggle sometimes.

  436. I'm telling the truth that I cry.

  437. Sometimes I'm telling the truth that this got a hold on me.

  438. Sometimes I'm telling the truth that every time I want to do good, evil is always present.

  439. Why are you telling your business?

  440. Because it's time for legion to be exposed.

  441. And if I come in as pastor and say I got to deal with legion, perhaps you will be comfortable saying, well, if the pastor got to deal with legion, I got to deal with legion.

  442. Perhaps you will be comfortable saying, well, if the pastor got to deal with legion, I got to deal with legion too.

  443. Because the trick of the enemy is to make you think that the enemy does not exist.

  444. Men and women of god, jesus is fully aware and is engaged in your fight.

  445. But I also need you to understand this the enemy is subject to the authority of the Lord.

  446. How do I know that you're not going to leave here like you came?

  447. It is because of that statement legion is subject to the authority of jesus.

  448. That's why we got to teach our children, we got to teach ourselves about being able to operate not under our power, not by my mind, not by my spirit, not by my spirit, but by his spirit, says the Lord.

  449. Watch this verse ten through thirteen.

  450. Then the evil spirits begged him again and again.

  451. That's interesting, because they realized that the fight has been lost.

  452. May I declare in they realize that the fight has been lost.

  453. May I declare in this house that the enemy is defeated, that the devil is a liar.

  454. Can I declare that for your situation, that the enemy is defeated, that it's about to shift.

  455. For you, can I declare that there's a shift that's about to hit your life.

  456. There's a shift that's about to hit your soul.

  457. There's a shift that's about to hit your soul.

  458. And now the enemy?

  459. All he can do is beg for mercy.

  460. Good God, almighty, I'm getting happy all by myself, because I know that I won and the only thing the enemy can do now is beg for mercy.

  461. Look at verse 10.

  462. Verse 10 the evil spirits begged him again and again not to send them to some distant place.

  463. There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby.

  464. Send us to those pigs.

  465. The spirit begged.

  466. Let us enter them.

  467. Verse 13 so Jesus gave them what family permission?

  468. You know why?

  469. Because every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess.

  470. Revelation declares that he's the king of kings and the lord of lords.

  471. He is the alpha and the omega.

  472. He's the beginning and the end.

  473. I wish I had some help in here to remind you it does not matter what you are dealing with.

  474. Everything is subject to the authority of our God.

  475. Don't worry about the diagnosis.

  476. It's subject to the will and rule of our God.

  477. Don't worry about the heartbreak, because our God is the mender of broken hearts.

  478. And I also need to talk to the anointed people in the room and remind you that, because everything is subject to the power of God, the Word of God has a special blessing for the anointed.

  479. Now I got to pull the room.

  480. How many people in the room know that you have been anointed by God?

  481. I need you to understand anointing is not about a position.

  482. You ain't got to have a clergy collar.

  483. You ain't got to have a collar at all.

  484. You can be naked in the tombs and still be anointed.

  485. I need to talk to the anointed people and tell you that there's a word from the most high.

  486. The Bible declares touch not the head of my anointed and do my prophets no harm.

  487. And I need some anointed people that don't even have a title to give God some glory, because I'm untouchable.

  488. I'm untouchable in this season.

  489. Regardless, regardless of what it looks like.

  490. Because they're subject to the authority.

  491. I see something interesting here.

  492. Men and women of God, look at this carefully, verse 13,.

  493. Jesus gave them permission.

  494. Evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of about 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water.

  495. The Bible didn't tell us how many demons made up the legion, but it was enough demons in the man to cause 2,000 pigs to run off a hill and die, which lets me know that there is not a problem that you are dealing with.

  496. That is too hard for our God.

  497. I don't care what it is, it's not too hard for God.

  498. But there is something else that I got to address here.

  499. I don't want to address it, but I got to Because the Lord has authority.

  500. The Lord extends grace when he wants to extend grace and he extends mercy when he wants to extend mercy.

  501. Grace we understand is that we didn't earn something that God gave us.

  502. It's referred to as what Unmerited favor.

  503. That mean I didn't work for it, I wasn't good enough for it, nothing I could do.

  504. God favored me for reasons sometime unknown to me, other than the fact that I am his child.

  505. He decided to give me something I didn't deserve, but mercy.

  506. Mercy is the fact that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord, and every last one of us deserve hell.

  507. Every last one of us don't deserve to be here, but God, in his mercy, spared and rescued our lives.

  508. And here's the thing about mercy that messed some super religious folk head up.

  509. God can be merciful to the person that hurt you, and that's a tough pill to swallow.

  510. God can be merciful to a racist person, and that's a tough pill to swallow.

  511. A racist person and that's a tough pill to swallow.

  512. God can be merciful to the person that abused you in the relationship, and that's a tough pill to swallow.

  513. God can be merciful to the person that hurt your child.

  514. And if we all going to be honest, if you hurt, hurt my child, ain't too much grace and ain't whole, ain't no mercy that we're gonna be honest about it.

  515. But this is the God that we serve, that he has this level of mercy that is beyond our human understanding.

  516. And if you look at the text carefully, what the demons beg and plead for is not to be sent to the place that they should be going to, which is to the abyss, which is to hell, which is to nothingness.

  517. Prematurely, they said God, we're asking for some mercy and at least let us go into the pigs.

  518. And for reasons unknown to us, god was merciful to the very things that was trying to take the man's life.

  519. I wrestle with that and here was the conclusion that I came up with.

  520. The Lord said that's how y'all get in trouble.

  521. You worry about what I'm doing in somebody else's house.

  522. That's how you get in trouble.

  523. Mind the business that belongs to you.

  524. The Lord said this since you need a lesson from it and the folk at Chosen City need a lesson from it, give them this lesson.

  525. If I could be merciful to thousands of demons, how much more merciful am I going to be to my own child?

  526. Dietrich hadn't had it right.

  527. There was a song that came out and some of the people said it was theologically inaccurate.

  528. It was a song that said I'm so glad God hears a sinner's prayer.

  529. They said God don't hear no sinner's prayer.

  530. Y'all need to repent and get right and come to Sunday school and stuff.

  531. He ain't going to hear you until you get right.

  532. But newsflash, if the Lord didn't hear a sinner's prayer, you or I, we wouldn't be here this morning.

  533. Why we wouldn't be here this morning?

  534. The Lord heard.

  535. If you were here to pray over a demon and give a demon some mercy.

  536. I want you to know that the Lord has heard your cries, he's heard your prayers, he's heard what you've been petitioning for.

  537. He's heard what you've been crying for.

  538. He knows what you are waiting for.

  539. He says just surrender yourself and go through the process, and it's about to happen.

  540. I need about five people that can declare in this house that it's about to happen.

  541. I use Elder Johnson as an example this morning.

  542. He does not mind.

  543. Come here, elder Johnson, and stand right here, man of God, because Elder Johnson went through a season of career transition and he was dealing with unemployment for a few weeks.

  544. No, I'm sorry, several months, few weeks, I'm sorry several months, probably from October until now.

  545. But the thing that I liked about him even though it was frustrating, even though it was emotional, even though it was heavy the one thing that I never heard him do was give up on the authority of God to change the situation.

  546. Do y'all know what it looks like to give up on the authority of God?

  547. That's when you get to the point where you don't believe that God is going to fix it.

  548. You get to the point that you believe it's too late for you, so you stop worshiping.

  549. You feel like coming to church is a waste of time.

  550. You feel like prayers are just going no higher than the ceiling.

  551. But the one thing I appreciate about this man of God I've never seen him give up on the authority of God.

  552. I've never seen him give up even though he was wondering when God are you going to move?

  553. I need to talk to some people in the house and tell you don't give up on the authority of God, and tell you don't give up on the authority of God, because when this man of God did not give up on the authority of God at the right time, good God, almighty.

  554. I think the Bible calls it due season.

  555. Do I have any due season saints in the room?

  556. Due season Faith not in well doing because it's due season.

  557. Do I have any due season?

  558. Folk in the house that have been going through a long time but you just waiting on your due season.

  559. The word of God declares that in due season I shall reap a harvest if I faint not.

  560. I'm proud of this man of God Because when the Lord moved, not only did the Lord give him one career, god gave him a backup as well.

  561. I don't think you heard what I said.

  562. He had no job, but now he got options.

  563. Good God, almighty, I don't think you heard me.

  564. Had no jobs, now got two jobs.

  565. What does that mean?

  566. It means now I've got two jobs.

  567. What does that mean?

  568. It means that the psalmist had it right that when you operate under the authority of God, he'll prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

  569. He'll prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

  570. He'll prepare a table before me in the presence of legion.

  571. He'll prepare a table that tastes better than golden corral back when golden corral was good before me in the presence of my enemies.

  572. I need to talk to the people here and remind you don't give up on the authority of God, because the Lord is saying you're not going to leave here like you came, because I have authority over what's been keeping you up at night.

  573. I have authority over what has been tearing your family apart.

  574. You just got to be willing to submit to the authority.

  575. You got to be willing to get behind me and be obedient and trust the fact that I'm about to do something supernatural in your life.

  576. The problem is not your authority.

  577. The problem is not his authority.

  578. The problem is our belief.

  579. The problem is not his authority.

  580. The problem is our belief.

  581. Can you believe?

  582. Between the word and the manifestation, I see a small visual.

  583. Thank you, holy Ghost, because I like to give you stuff that you can remember this week.

  584. It's almost like I just gave you all a little sandwich that's going to help you.

  585. There is the word which has been decreed and declared as it relates to your situation.

  586. Imagine as a top piece of bread.

  587. The bottom piece of the bread is the manifestation, but y'all know what the meat is your belief.

  588. That's how you eat.

  589. Good, that's how he prepares a table.

  590. Some of us give up and miss out on the meat because we don't have belief.

  591. The Lord has authority over everything that's concerning you, men and women of God.

  592. Jesus sees what you're going through and he's engaged in the fight that's concerning you, men and women of God.

  593. Jesus sees what you're going through and he's engaged in the fight.

  594. And Jesus understands that, where you are, that he's up to something.

  595. But I need you to hear this carefully the next move of God.

  596. Hear this.

  597. I need you to understand this very clearly.

  598. Hear this.

  599. You need to understand this very clearly.

  600. The next move of God will make everyone uncomfortable.

  601. I can't talk to you about the move of God and that your life is not going to be the same in the name of Jesus, without telling you the truth that the next move is about to make everybody uncomfortable.

  602. Look at verse 14 through 17.

  603. The herdsmen fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading the news as they ran, people rushed out to see what had happened.

  604. A crowd soon gathered around Jesus and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons.

  605. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid.

  606. Then those who had seen what happened told the others about the demon possessed man and the pigs Verse 17 and the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone.

  607. The next move of God will make everyone uncomfortable.

  608. In the text, the herdsmen were uncomfortable, some would say perhaps because they lost out on money After all, they did lose 2,000 pigs but if they were believers, it would seem as if at some point they would have been celebrating the fact that this man got his breakthrough.

  609. The crowd was frustrated because, instead of celebrating, verse 15 tells us that they were afraid, tells us that they were afraid.

  610. So now your insecurities and your fears about what God is doing for me has got you in an uncomfortable place, and there are some people.

  611. Right now you are being paused, not because of your own fears, but because you are connected to people who have no faith, and I need to let you know that.

  612. That's okay that you recognize that.

  613. But if you're going to come out of the tomb and if the tomb is going to come out of you, you got to wrestle with the fact that this move will make some people around you uncomfortable.

  614. As a matter of fact, the people got so uncomfortable in verse 17 that the crowd, instead of worship Jesus, they asked Jesus to leave them alone.

  615. So when you look at the text, the herdsmen are uncomfortable, the crowd is uncomfortable, the man is sitting there, fully clothed and perfectly sane.

  616. I love the King James Version.

  617. Sometimes, on occasion, there's a saying that the old church used to have at least what church I used to go to and they'd ask people how they were doing, and some of the senior saints used to say well, I'm clothed and I'm in my right mind.

  618. Anybody went to a church like that.

  619. Yeah yeah, you didn't know it, but it comes from this text right here, where this man that was demon possessed.

  620. He's now clothed and in his right mind.

  621. Can I tell you something?

  622. Spiritually, there is no reason for you to leave here naked today.

  623. There is no reason reason for you to leave here naked today.

  624. There is no reason for you to leave without having the mind of christ operating within you.

  625. If you're going to come out of the tomb and the tomb is going to come out of you you got to be willing to be clothed.

  626. We've talked a little bit about Ephesians and the whole armor of God.

  627. I want to encourage you, as we continue to get into that more later on, that part of our clothing is putting on the whole armor of God.

  628. Clothing is putting on the whole armor of God.

  629. I want to remind you in the spirit that part of our clothing is covering ourselves with the presence, the promise and the power of the Holy Ghost.

  630. You don't have to leave here naked today.

  631. You don't have to leave here feeling as if you don't have anybody on your side today.

  632. Listen after.

  633. Everything that that man went through is crazy.

  634. The herdsmen are in conflict, the crowd is in conflict, but the man is able to sit there.

  635. I pray, after all of the conflict that's been going on around you, that some point on the journey you're going to be able to sit there.

  636. That's what the bible calls peace beyond understanding.

  637. That means that I can sleep at night when everybody else can't sleep at night.

  638. I can keep going forward when other folk can't keep going forward.

  639. I have a peace beyond understanding.

  640. I may have lost a loved one and I cry, but I don't weep as those who have no hope.

  641. I may have lost a job, I may have lost a position, but I'm still holding on to his unchanging hand.

  642. I can sit there while y'all in an uproar because God is working it out.

  643. For my good, I need some people that gonna be able to sit there in the middle of the storm, sit there in the middle of the pressure and chill out, because you know that sooner or later it's about to turn in your favor.

  644. That sooner or later, legion will be defeated forever.

  645. That sooner or later, that it will be cast out of you and it will die a death in the sea.

  646. That sooner or later, the entanglement has to come to an end, because God is on your side.

  647. The next move will make everyone uncomfortable, because not only was the herd uncomfortable, the crowd was uncomfortable.

  648. Guess who else was uncomfortable?

  649. You may not see it, but I'll show it to you.

  650. Jesus was uncomfortable.

  651. We know this because one of the shortest scriptures in the Bible is Jesus wept.

  652. Do y'all remember why Jesus wept?

  653. Jesus wept because the people did not believe.

  654. Jesus is impacted because his goal, his objective, is to save us, and the only way that we can be saved is if we believe the door is open.

  655. We just got to believe that and walk through it.

  656. The door is open.

  657. We just got to believe that and walk through it.

  658. So what happened here is that the people chose and elected not to believe, and that impacted Jesus.

  659. But I'm so glad that we, even when we don't believe, god doesn't give up on us.

  660. When you stop doing what you're supposed to do, don't give up on.

  661. Even when you give up on God, he'll never give up on you.

  662. So, even though Jesus is uncomfortable, he always has a plan, because he was not surprised by their unbelief.

  663. And the last thing that I'll tell you we'll get out of here today is that I know that you won't leave here like you came today, primarily because you have a greater work to do.

  664. Somebody say there is greater.

  665. For me, the primary reason I know that you won't leave here like you came is because you have a greater work ahead of you.

  666. Look at verse 18 through 20, and then we're done.

  667. As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him.

  668. Can y'all blame the man?

  669. After all, it was these same people that left him in the tomb.

  670. It was the same people that tried to shackle him.

  671. The same people that watched him cut himself.

  672. The same people that watched him walking around naked and howling.

  673. He didn't want to go back there and I can't blame him.

  674. He finally encountered somebody that saw something in him when nobody else could see it.

  675. That song declares you saw the best in me, when everyone else around could only see the worst in me.

  676. He is mine and I am his.

  677. It doesn't matter what I did, he only sees me like I am.

  678. Jesus.

  679. You saw something in me, and not only did you see something in me, you rescued my life.

  680. In this room there are too many of you who cannot remain silent on that concept alone, that the Lord not only saw something in you after your tomb experience.

  681. He rescued your life and brought you out of the tomb.

  682. Where are those witnesses at in the house?

  683. Where are those witnesses at?

  684. Where are them Christians at?

  685. Where are those witnesses at in the house?

  686. Where are those witnesses at?

  687. Where them Christians at?

  688. Where them saints at?

  689. He saw me, he rescued me, and, jesus, I want to be with you.

  690. I'm tired of being around fake folk.

  691. I want to be with you.

  692. I'm tired of being about people that look at me and laugh at me and talk sideways about me.

  693. I just want to be where you are.

  694. I don't want to go to the streets.

  695. I don't want to go to the highways, I don't want to go to the hills, because they talk sideways and they abandon me.

  696. So I'm a riot Wherever you go.

  697. Jesus, that's where I'm going to go.

  698. But there's something that's happening here in the in-between that we cannot miss.

  699. Jesus has emptied the man of his demons, but now there's this void in his life and he wants to fill the void by being closer to God.

  700. It is the same concept that you see when a person is dealing with addiction.

  701. You can't tell a person to stop taking their substance and leave them empty and leave them with a void.

  702. It doesn't work work.

  703. Don't tell me to put cocaine down and I don't have anything to replace cocaine with.

  704. Don't tell me to put alcohol down and I don't have anything to replace alcohol with.

  705. Matthew 12, the 43rd chapter, jesus gives a very powerful example of a of a man that was was demon possessed and, and it says this when an evil spirit leaves a person Matthew 12, verse 43 it goes into the desert seeking rest, but find none.

    Matthew 12:43

  706. Listen to verse 44.

  707. Listen to this carefully y'all.

  708. Rests, but find none.

  709. Listen to verse 44.

  710. Listen to this carefully, y'all.

  711. Then it says are y'all listening to me?

  712. And we almost done.

  713. I will return to the person I came from.

  714. I want y'all to run this back because I need y'all to understand.

  715. This is a spiritual warfare.

  716. I need you to understand it's not enough to be free from legion.

  717. You got to fill the gaps that legion occupy.

  718. You got to fill the gaps that legion occupy.

  719. Matthew 12, verse 43,.

    Matthew 12:43

  720. When the evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert seeking rest, but finding none.

  721. Then it says I will return to the person I came from.

  722. Watch this.

  723. So it returns and finds his former home empty.

  724. Oh, they got a void.

  725. They say that they set free and deliver, but they don't have a purpose.

  726. They saved and they set free and they deliver, but they don't know what's next in their life.

  727. They go to church but they still don't have value.

  728. They go to church but they still don't have friends.

  729. They go to, they got a relationship, but they don't have any love.

  730. There's a void in their life.

  731. What does the enemy do when there's a void in their life?

  732. He says I will return to the person I came from.

  733. So it returns, finds his home empty.

  734. Then the spirit watch this finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there, watch this, and so the person is worse off than before.

  735. That will be the experience of this evil generation.

  736. We about to go home, but I'm trying to tell you something.

  737. There's the reason why you could come in the church and have a halfway experience and, six months from now, be worse off than you ever was.

  738. We gotta help you get empty of the, of the, of the legion.

  739. We gotta help you to get empty of the stronghold.

  740. We gotta get to get empty of unforgiveness in your past.

  741. But if there's a void there.

  742. You read it in your own Bible.

  743. The enemy will say it's been six months and you ain't filled that void yet.

  744. I guess I can move back on in now.

  745. I guess.

  746. Depression come on, pull up with me, they still trying to find their way.

  747. Come on, pull up with me.

  748. Anxiety, depression, come on, pull up with me, they still trying to find their way.

  749. Come on, pull up with me.

  750. Oh, anxiety, there's still some room in here, come on pull up with me cancer because they have not filled the void.

  751. There's an empty space.

  752. So what did Jesus do?

  753. He looked at the man.

  754. He says I'm not going to leave you void.

  755. I'm not going to leave you void.

  756. I'm not going to leave you without purpose.

  757. I'm not going to leave you without value.

  758. I'm going to give you an assignment.

  759. That's why you got to understand that there is greater on your life.

  760. The moment you embrace greater on your life, even if you are coming out of the halfway house, the fact that you know that there is greater on your life will sustain you.

  761. So the enemy can't come back in and you find out that there is and he and you.

  762. And he fills that place in a space that was supposed to be filled with purpose.

  763. Somebody say that there's greater on my life.

  764. Jesus gives the man a purpose.

  765. He says what I need you to do?

  766. I need you to go back home, start at your house and tell everybody about the goodness of the Lord.

  767. His purpose was found in his deliverance.

  768. The man does something interesting he goes back to his house first, before going to the ten towns.

  769. Let me tell you something that Jesus understood.

  770. That's still true today.

  771. There are people that will never receive a pastor initially.

  772. There are people that will never receive the prophet initially.

  773. They'll never receive the deacon, the elder, the minister initially.

  774. But guess who they will receive?

  775. They'll receive you because they know you.

  776. They know you from back when and they see that something has happened with your life, they see that there's been a transition in your life.

  777. He says I'm not going to leave you void.

  778. You got purpose, you got value, you got a testimony.

  779. Can I talk to somebody right now and let you know that you got value through your testimony?

  780. The enemy is defeated by the blood of the lamb and the power of our testimony.

  781. The word of our testimony lets us know that we got value.

  782. So the man is assigned to go back home and he goes back home, and the Bible doesn't tell us what home looks like.

  783. But if I can use my Holy Ghost imagination, I would imagine that the first person he had to go find was his wife.

  784. If he had one, he had to look at it and say baby, I know that I lost my mind and I lost my job and I lost everything that's concerning me, and I was running around naked, cutting myself.

  785. I was howling and about to give up on life.

  786. I was just at the point where I was considering taking my life.

  787. My children had no more respect for me and I was a laughing stock of the town.

  788. But just when I was about to throw in the tower, here come a stranger across the Galilee.

  789. Just when I was about to give in and give out, he saw the best in me when the world saw the worst in me.

  790. He didn't question me about my condition.

  791. He didn't ask me how I got in the tombs.

  792. All he began to do was to speak to my dark place.

  793. Good God, almighty, I hear the Lord say that there's an assignment on your life.

  794. He ain't gonna ask you how you got where you are.

  795. He's just gonna start speaking to your dark place.

  796. I pray that you let the Lord speak to your dark place this morning, because the truth of the matter is everybody got a dark place.

  797. I pray that you let the Lord speak to your fear this morning, because the truth of the matter is that everybody's afraid of something.

  798. But the man began to tell his wife.

  799. He didn't ask me about the mistakes that I made.

  800. He didn't ask me about the cuts on my body.

  801. He spoke to my condition and after he spoke to my condition, he started to untangle my entanglement.

  802. All I know is something happened on the inside.

  803. Those same old demons that had me running around naked.

  804. Those same old demons that had me operating outside of character.

  805. When the voice of the Lord hit their ear canal, there was something that happened on the inside of me.

  806. All of a sudden, I felt myself getting light.

  807. You see, baby, you don't know how heavy it was Carrying all of that stuff on the inside.

  808. One of the legions was called depression.

  809. One of the legions was called anxiety.

  810. One of the legions was called anxiety.

  811. One of the legions was called cancer.

  812. One of the legions was called disappointment.

  813. One of the legions was called a stronghold.

  814. You don't know, baby, how heavy it was carrying that stuff and being in the tombs by myself, but when the Lord spoke to my entanglement, I suddenly felt lighter on my feet.

  815. Good God, almighty, I feel some folks getting lighter on their feet this morning.

  816. I feel some people getting a little bit lighter Because the Lord has spoke to your entanglement and he is speaking to your leader.

  817. I wish I had some people that was unashamed now to testify that God is speaking to my legion, god is speaking to my circumstance.

  818. He said, baby, what happened next would blow your mind.

  819. I found myself sitting there and I got my mental health back.

  820. I found myself sitting there and I got my mental health back.

  821. I found myself sitting there and I got my peace back.

  822. I decree and declare in this house that somebody's going to get your mental health back, you're going to get your peace back.

  823. But, baby, the next thing was really crazy.

  824. Next thing, you know, I was clothed in my body, not just on the inside, but I had clothes for the first time.

  825. It wasn't a JCPenney's nowhere to be found.

  826. It wasn't a Walmart on the block.

  827. They didn't have a clothing store in the tools.

  828. But God supplied my needs just when I needed them the most.

  829. And I want to declare to somebody today that not only is God going to take care of your spiritual needs, he's about to bless you in the natural.

  830. I see overflow coming your way.

  831. I see a blessing with your name on it.

  832. I see something happening for you.

  833. If you got faith enough to receive it, folks going to have to wonder now how you got to where you are.

  834. And you will faith enough to receive it.

  835. Folks going to have to wonder now how you got to where you are and you will be able to testify, like the man testified to his family.

  836. If it had not been for the Lord, who was on my side, tell me where would I be?

  837. I wish I had some people in the house today that don't mind testifying to a neighbor.

  838. You ought to turn to her right now and say if it had not been for the Lord on my side, tell me where would I be?

  839. I'm sorry this ain't the Sunday to be cute.

  840. This is the Sunday for some folks that have been in a tomb.

  841. This is the Sunday for the folks that have been in a tomb.

  842. This is a Sunday for the folk that got tomb in them.

  843. But I hear the Lord say that I'm about to move in your life.

  844. I hear the Lord say there's an assignment on your life After he goes to his family, y'all the Bible declares.

  845. he goes to the ten cities and he starts to tell them about Jesus.

  846. A man that lived in the tomb is now an evangelist.

  847. Did y'all hear what I said?

  848. He was once in the tomb, but now he's an evangelist.

  849. I hear the Lord said that the world had given up on you, but there's a title with your name on it.

  850. There's a title with your name on it.

  851. There's a position with your name on it.

  852. He's about to do something through you because greater is coming.

  853. I need some people that don't mind shouting that greater is coming.

  854. That means I can't leave here Like I can't.

  855. I can't leave here with the same stuff because greater is coming.

  856. I can't.

  857. I can't leave here with the same stuff Because greater is coming.

  858. I can't go over there, still being attached to Legion, that's why I got to lay some stuff down.

  859. I hear the Lord say there are about 75 people, that greater is coming your way.

  860. But you better not leave here with Legion now.

  861. You better defeat Legion now.

  862. You better not leave here with legion now you better defeat legion.

  863. You better not leave here with that stuff because there's power in the name.

  864. There's healing in the name and in just a few moments we're gonna call on the name of Jesus.

  865. We're going to call him until legion drowns.

  866. We're going to call him.

  867. Until legion goes down, we're going to call him until legion is defeated.

  868. I'm tired of entanglements, I'm tired of struggle.

  869. I'm tired of crying.

  870. I'm tired of frustration.

  871. No, legion, your season has come to an end.

  872. Your reign of terror is over.

  873. Your time in my life has expired.

  874. I need some people to talk to Legion.

  875. Talk to them right where you are, because all of God's children got something and I can no longer be ashamed.

  876. How do you talk to Legion?

  877. You look at your situation and all you got to do is simply say.

  878. Jesus, jesus.

  879. I dare you to try it.

  880. Think about what you're going through Say Jesus, jesus, I love calling your name Because, in the name of Jesus Legion, leave my family alone.

  881. In the name of Jesus Legion, leave my family alone in the name of Jesus.

  882. Legion.

  883. Leave my finances alone, in the name of Jesus.

  884. Legion.

  885. Leave my heart alone in the name of Jesus Legion.

  886. Leave my future alone in the name of.

  887. Jesus, I've come for warfare now and you ain't going home with me.

  888. I don't care where you go, legion, you ain't got to go home, but you got to get up out of here.

  889. I'm talking to Legion right now.

  890. You can't go in the car with me.

  891. I'm talking to Legion right now.

  892. You can't go back to my house, no more.

  893. I'm talking to Legion right now.

  894. You can't go back to my house, no more.

  895. I'm talking to Legion right now.

  896. You're not welcome in this church, legion.

  897. I'm talking to Legion right now.

  898. You can't go on vacation with me this year.

  899. I'm talking to Legion right now you can't go to the cookout.

  900. As a matter of fact, we can pull your call.

  901. You ain't welcome here.

  902. Howdy y'all Uninvited to money?

  903. Call him On the name.

  904. Call him On the name.

  905. Bishop GE Patterson said it like this you won't leave here, like you came in.

  906. Jesus name bound oppressed, afflicted, sick or lame because the power of the Lord is still the same.

  907. You won't leave here like you came.

  908. In Jesus' name.

  909. That's my testimony.

  910. Is that yours?

  911. You won't leave here like you came.

  912. It's a declaration.

  913. Y'all, in Jesus' name, bound, oppressed, oppressed, sick or lame, because the power of the Lord is still the same.

  914. Same power that rescued that man is the same power that's about to rescue you, you won't leave here, like you came in, jesus' name Family, as we stand to our feet.

  915. As we stand to our feet, we want to help a few people.

  916. We want to help a few people that are unashamed of the fact that they got some legions, that they are dealing with Many issues.

  917. Legion is only defeated when he's exposed.

  918. So no more hiding, no more being afraid.

  919. I need to talk to the people that have been in the fight for their life.

  920. Elder Jamal, bring me that oil.

  921. You know who you are, because the Spirit is already talking to you.

  922. You ain't got nothing to be ashamed of.

  923. Some of the clergy.

  924. Y'all stand in the aisle and walk with them.

  925. I just want to pray for them right here at this altar.

  926. Y'all catch them, y'all bring them right here.

  927. I'm touching in the green, we praying.

  928. Come on, come on, come on, come on touching in the green and praying in the name of Jesus.

  929. Touching and praying in the name of Jesus Glory to God In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

  930. Glory to God.

  931. In the name of Jesus, in the name, glory to God In the have.

  932. I believe in my faith and if you believe my faith, you won't leave here like you came.

  933. Do y'all believe that my faith?

  934. This is a faithful.

  935. I'm believing God for a supernatural shift, not tomorrow, but today.

  936. It's a fight now.

  937. The enemy's going to fight with all he got.

  938. You saw he didn't give up quickly, but it's a fight.

  939. But I believe by faith.

  940. I believe by faith that you won't leave here like you came.

  941. In Jesus' name.

  942. I believe that a shift is about to hit your spirit.

  943. It's about to hit your house.

  944. I believe it.

  945. For you, man of God.

  946. I believe it for you, woman of God, it's a faith thing.

  947. Sometimes we walk by faith and not by sight.

  948. This walked by faith and not by sight.

  949. This man had to believe that God was able to do exceedingly and abundantly, and I believe that for everyone here.

  950. I believe that for you, do y'all believe it?

  951. For him?

  952. Chosen City.

  953. I believe it for everyone here, that God is about to do something supernatural in all of our lives.

  954. Hallelujah.

  955. I believe that legion is defeated.

  956. I believe that some of the generational curses and stuff that you've been carrying since birth.

  957. I believe that legion is defeated.

  958. I believe that some of the generational curses and stuff that you've been carrying since birth, I believe, by faith in the name of Jesus, that there's a ship that's about to hit this house at this altar right now, because I'm crazy enough to believe God like that.

  959. I come in peace.

  960. I come believing God.

  961. This is war, this is spiritual warfare.

  962. We come because we believe God.

  963. We come, come on, man of God.

  964. God bless you.

  965. We were coming down because we believe God.

  966. We come down because we believe God.

  967. We believe God.

  968. We believe God at this altar.

  969. We believe God at this altar.

  970. We believe.

  971. God at this altar.

  972. We believe God at this altar.

  973. We believe God at this altar.

  974. We believe.

  975. God at this altar.

  976. We believe God at this altar.

  977. Listen, if you're not at the altar, we need you praying, because some people have been honest enough to say I look good on the outside but the truth of the matter is I've been in the tombs.

  978. I look good on the outside, but the truth of the matter is I've been in the tombs, I look good on the outside and I manage it well, but I got stuff that needs to be dealt with.

  979. Hallelujah, it is at this altar.

  980. If you're not at the altar, I need you interceding in prayer.

  981. If you're not at the altar, I need you interceding with prayer.

  982. What you're not at the altar, I need you interceding with prayer.

  983. What would happen if your prayer would save somebody's life?

  984. You ever thought about it that way?

  985. Your agenda ain't gonna fix it but your prayer just might.

  986. Sometimes we need to be obedient to the Spirit.

  987. Yeah, oh yeah, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord, hallelujah, lord, hallelujah.

  988. I need my elders that can make it to just stand and touch and agree in the midst of the people, because some people need somebody just to be right next to them.

  989. So, some of our women of God, some of our men of God, some of our deacons, our ministers, I need you to come.

  990. You don't have to say anything, just be a presence, be a presence, be a presence, be a presence.

  991. And if you didn't come to the altar, it's okay.

  992. The Lord hears your prayers too, because the truth of the matter is, all of us got legions, all of us got stuff, but there's liberty in this house today.

  993. I believe that, by faith, do I have all of the clergy in place, all the deacons in place, all the ministers in place, all the around here, y'all we connected, we good, because this is a prayer of spiritual warfare, this is a prayer that has to pull somebody out of the abyss.

  994. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

  995. I'm going to ask y to worship the arts ministry, to keep playing, but to play just a little bit softer or maybe it's the monitor If you turn it down just a little bit.

  996. Keep playing, it's beautiful, keep setting the atmosphere, but I just need to hear a little bit.

  997. I want to be able to hear a little bit better.

  998. We here, y'all, we here, we here, y'all.

  999. We here.

  1000. We here, y'all ready.

1001. Before I go into this prayer, it is my belief, it is my belief, it is my proclamation as a servant of the Most High God, that I believe that, if you believe that you won't leave here like you came in, this is heavy faith and I need some people who operate in the gifts of faith.

1002. Help us at this altar.

1003. Help our unbelief If any of us are dealing with unbelief.

  1004. Help us, help us.

1005. If you pray and you understand how to pray in the spirit, I want you to do so at this time.

1006. Father, we need you today.

1007. We don't come with a cute or fancy prayer, but we come with a sincere and humble heart.

1008. We come, oh Lord, this time because some of us are in the tomb and, god, you know exactly what I mean by that.

1009. Some people have been bouncing from dead space to dead space.

1010. Let them know, god, that you brought them here for a reason on this Sunday.

1011. It's not by happenstance or coincidence.

1012. They are here because you heard their cry.

1013. They are here because you want to defeat the legion.

1014. They are here because you want to do something supernatural in their life.

1015. They are here because you're about to move in a different way than you've ever moved before.

1016. But, lord, in order for that to happen, we need you right now to go within our inward parts, everywhere our mind, our body, our soul, our heart.

1017. Go into the inward parts, lord, because there is demonic influence that has impacted all of us and we don't even know it.

1018. There is spiritual influence that is not like you, that has impacted all of us.

1019. Go into those places, god, and wage war right now, god.

1020. Wage war like you did for the man in the tombs, god.

1021. Wage war because we have faith, god, that there's an assignment on our life.

1022. Wage war, god, until Legion is defeated.

1023. Wage war, god, until the stronghold is no more.

1024. Wage war, god, until they literally feel better in their mind, body and soul.

1025. Feel better in their mind, body and soul.

1026. Wage war, god, until there's a supernatural shift in their life.

1027. We declare in this place that Legion has no authority here and we're not afraid of the demonic because he's defeated.

1028. In the name of Jesus, we go to war on behalf of single mothers and single fathers in the room and the unique issues that they face.

1029. We go to war right now.

1030. We go to war on their behalf because they need you.

1031. We go to war on the behalf of the children.

1032. We go to war on the behalf of the marriages.

1033. This is God, this is war and we have come to win.

1034. But, lord, you told us one thing you showed us that the key to victory and defeating legion is our ability to call on your name.

1035. Help us to call on your name.

1036. Help us to call on your name today.

1037. Help us to call on your name today.

  1038. Family.

1039. I hear the Lord saying every last one of you that are in this room you've called on the name of Jesus before.

1040. But you've come too familiar with just on the name of Jesus before, but you've come too familiar with just saying the name.

1041. I hear the Lord saying that this time, when you get ready to call him in a meeting, you're going to call him like you've never called him before.

1042. You're going to call him and ask him to save your soul, even if you are already a believer, because we have to deny and crucify our flesh daily.

1043. So you're going to call him and say, lord, save my soul.

1044. You're going to call him and say, rescue my life.

1045. And you're going to call him and say whatever demonic or spiritual influence that has been going on that causes me to make bad choices will be defeated.

1046. Everybody under the sound of my voice.

1047. That's going to move your faith.

1048. That way, I want you to start calling him right now, jesus.

1049. Everybody in the house at the altar in the back start calling his right now, jesus.

1050. Everybody in the house at the altar in the back, start calling his name Jesus, jesus Now, right now, with no music.

1051. Listen, listen, listen, no music, thank you.

1052. No claps, no music, just Jesus, jesus, at your own cadence, at your own rhythm.

1053. You should be thinking about your salvation.

1054. You should be thinking about your salvation, you should be thinking about your soul, you should be thinking about those things concerning you, but you're calling on his name Because his name is above all names.

1055. Jesus, because when you call on his name, all the other names have to fade away.

  1056. Jesus, jesus, jesus.

1057. You ought to call him Jesus.

  1058. Everybody in the room.

1059. Jesus In the media booth.

  1060. Call him Jesus.

1061. Nobody's on duty right now.

  1062. Everybody in this building.

  1063. Jesus, security and otherwise.

  1064. Jesus, jesus, jesus.

1065. Call him at your own cadence.

  1066. Jesus.

1067. Jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus, jesus Jesus.

  1068. Jesus.

1069. Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus.

1070. I feel your weight being lifted.

1071. I literally feel your weight getting lifted.

1072. Breathe on them, lord God, now that you've removed legion, we declare legion defeated.

1073. Fill that void now, god.

  1074. Fill the void.

1075. See, if you don't fill the void, the enemy is going to try to fill it with the wrong person and the wrong stuff.

  1076. Fill the void God.

1077. Fill it with purpose, fill it with value.

  1078. Fill the void God.

  1079. Fill the void God.

1080. Fill the void Hallelujah, hallelujah, call on him, hallelujah.

1081. Lives are on the line.

1082. Family Lives are on the line.

1083. Family lives are on the line family Jesus you won't leave here like you came.

  1084. It's already been declared.

1085. Now, here's what we're going to do.

1086. Family, under this sweet spirit, I can feel him.

1087. I know you can feel him too.

1088. Whenever you have an encounter with the most high God.

1089. I always want you to relieve the encounter with expectation, since God has already orchestrated some stuff that we were concerned about and now we wait on it to manifest.

1090. What we do is that our praise and our worship.

1091. All it is is just putting an exclamation point on what has already been decreed and declared.

1092. So as I bring in our worship and arts ministry, I want to bring them in like this.

1093. I want them to play something, man of God, chris, saying something that is about victory, and we leave it here in victory.

1094. We leave it here with expectation.

  1095. Yeah, listen y'all.

1096. I love to have a church that know how to lift up a sound even before the music get keyed up, because expectation suggests I'm expecting god to do it.

  1097. I mean, I'm declaring that it's already done.

1098. I'm expecting god to do it.

  1099. I'm gonna dance like it's done.

  1100. I'm gonna shout like it's done.

  1101. I'm gonna run like it's done.

  1102. I'm gonna praise like it's done.

1103. I'm going to shout like it's done.

1104. I'm going to run like it's done.

1105. I'm going to praise like it's done.

1106. I'm going to celebrate like it's done.

  1107. I ain't leaving here sad.

  1108. I'm leaving here as a victory.

1109. I'm leaving here like I've come out of the tomb and I'm no longer naked.

  1110. I'm leaving here like I'm no longer self-injuring.

  1111. I'm leaving here like he's made a way.

1112. Come on y'all, let's give God some victory.

  1113. Hallelujah.

  1114. Listen.

1115. As he's preparing to sing.

1116. Hey, if you've been looking for a church home, just stand over here to my right, I'm going to stand up.

1117. If you've been looking for a church home, we're leaving in victory.

1118. Some of the clergy, they're going to take care of you right here.

1119. If you've been looking for a church uncle, we're leaving in victory.

1120. Some of the clergy, they're going to take care of you right here.

1121. If you've been looking for a church uncle, looking to give your life to the Lord, baptize, be rededicated, because some of us need to be filled with the power of the Holy Ghost.

1122. That's what you need to defeat the enemy.

1123. So give your life to him today.

  1124. Rededicate, get baptized.

1125. You need a church covering.

1126. If that's you, we got a big old spot for you.

1127. You can stand right here.

1128. Matter of fact, we celebrate y'all in advance.

1129. I don't know who you are, but I know you're coming Chosen City.

1130. Let's celebrate God for the partners that I believe God is about to send.

  1131. That's for you.

  1132. You come.

  1133. Meet right here, mark.

  1134. Stand right here.

  1135. Meet right here, mark.

  1136. Stand right here.

  1137. Meet right here.

  1138. Elder, stand right here.

  1139. We're waiting on you.

  1140. Hallelujah.

1141. Stay at the altar as long as you need.

1142. Stay at the altar as long as you need.

1143. Listen, I'm going to do an official dismissal, but then I'm going to let the man of God see Does that make sense?

1144. So then you can leave as you're led to leave, but I'm going to of God see, does that make sense?

1145. So then you can leave as you live to leave, but I'm going to let him see Again if the Lord is talking to you.

1146. You need a covering, you need a church home.

1147. You need help in this fight.

1148. Come on, don't leave here like you came.

1149. The door to the house of God stands open.

  1150. It's your opportunity.
