Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah Yeah, yeah Just wanna give him face Just wanna give him face Just wanna give him face Just wanna give him face Just wanna give him face Ah Jeff Swatch Watch You made a way you made up Amen Amen Amen Amen just give the Lord a hand Just give the Lord a hand of praise Just give him the Lord a hand Just give the Lord a hand Just give the Lord a hand Yeah yeah yeah Just give him a hand amen praise God amen Amen for this is the day that the Lord has made Amen and I will rejoice and be glad in it Oh man oh my woman Oh my while we're standing praise God Amen while we're standing I'm not gonna have you sit and stand back up while we're standing praise God Amen I'm gonna go to the Lord in prayer and then we're gonna go to our scripture and we're gonna go right into the word amen amen dear Heavenly Father God we thank you and we praise you God we glorify and honor you God we just ask you right now Father God you word these lips with clay Father God let me speak with clarity Father God and understand of thy word Father God that Father God that your people Father God were here Father God and know that you are a loving God and you have us God covered covered God under your covenant God and we just give you praise and glorious in Jesus' name we pray amen amen if you have your Bibles amen praise God amen would you go with me amen to the book of 2 Kings amen the 13th chapter amen we'll be reading the 20th down through the 23rd verse amen amen 2 Kings the 13th chapter the 20th down through the 23rd verse amen amen I just thank God amen and the word of God reads as such and Elisha died and they buried him and a band of the Moabites invaded the land in the coming of the year and it came to pass as they was burying a man that they behold a spy um a band of men and cast the man into the scepter of Elisha and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha he revived and stood on his feet but but Hezarel the king of Saria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz but the Lord was gracious unto them and had compassion on them and had respect unto them because of his covenant with Abraham Isaac and Jacob and would not destroy them neither cast them from his presence amen amen praise God amen amen amen amen amen I'll take for a topic today amen living under God's covenant living under God's covenant amen praise God amen the spirit was amen just so high amen I just love the Lord amen how he's moving amen and I just appreciate amen this opportunity amen amen I just don't want to start speaking without acknowledging and blessing amen the under shepherd of this house amen in his absence praise God amen we thank God amen for he and his family and amen all the elders amen amen our executive pastor amen my wife and my boys amen all our ministers and elders in their place amen we are in a great space amen amen amen isn't it wonderful to live under God's covenant amen to live under God's covenant amen amen to live under God's covenant amen is to live under the plan of God for your life amen a covenant is a solemn agreement between two parties describing the obligation and benefits amen a covenant consists of three things responsibility blood and a meal amen and God provides all three amen we just have to be willing to accept the coverage amen and one thing about God's coverage amen that there is no place you can go there is no place you can go amen that the enemy can corner you mean that God coverage cannot get to you amen amen amen there's no place you can go amen that you will not be under the coverage of God amen the book of Psalms amen puts it this way in Psalms 139 and 7 he said whether shall I go from thy spirit or whether shall I go from thy presence?

If I ascend up into the heavens thy art there if I make my bed in hell amen behold thy art there if I take the wings of the morning and dwell into the uttermost parts of the sea even there thy hand leads me and thy right hand hold me.

Amen understand something praise God amen that there's nothing that the enemy can put on you there's no place that the enemy can take you there's nothing in life amen that the right hand of God amen cannot hold you amen and guide you and bring you out amen know that when God guides you by his right hand praise God amen amen that's the hand of strength that's the hand of liberty amen God is guiding you praise God amen when you're under covenant with God amen praise God amen God is guiding you amen amen you need to know amen there's nothing you can do amen amen that's going to get you out of that covenant amen there is no place amen you're not gonna do everything right amen God understands amen we're not gonna do everything right all the time we're gonna do some stuff wrong but you know what his covenant still covers you amen his covenant still has you amen the covenant plan of God amen protects you from everything that the enemy thinks he can touch you with amen the covenant plan of God protects you from everything that the enemy thinks he can touch you with everything that he can't think he can amen upset and destroy your life upset amen amen your home upset the transition amen of things that are going on amen the covenant plan of God amen covers you praise God amen amen and no amen that that covenant praise God amen is the communion with God amen communion is God's covenant plan for Israel amen.

It is the blood of the lamb praise God amen that covered the children of Israel amen the Lord said I will pass through amen the land of Egypt and I will smite the Egyptians amen say but when I see the blood he said I will not suffer amen to destroy to come into the house amen the covenant plan of God amen you in service on the right day amen you in service on the day amen that we started amen with recognizing covenant amen that we are in covenant relationship with God amen praise God it's God's covenant relationship amen that covers us and amen and keeps us amen amen amen under the plan of God amen and know praise God amen that that in God's protection amen amen that we're not going to do everything right but it's God's unmerited favor for Israel amen even in their disobedience God still covered them amen even when you're not doing everything right God's still going to cover you amen even if you're at the wrong place at the wrong time God still got you covered amen even if you're down the street when you should have been over there God still got you covered amen doesn't matter where you are as long as you understand the covenant plan of God amen and God simply asks praise God what does God ask amen when you're under covenant he just asks when you're under covenant all you got to do is ask God for forgiveness.

Praise God amen amen there is no number on how many times God will forgive you amen amen the Bible says that he will forgive us not seven but seventy times seven times amen so there is no number on how many times God will forgive you the Bible says a good man falls six times but he gets up amen you got to understand all you got to do is get up and ask God for forgiveness amen the covenant plan of God amen God I thank you here amen.

Praise God amen it is God's covenant plan amen he said amen in Isaiah 43 and 25 he said I even I am he that blottest out thy transgressions amen for my own sake and I will not remember thy sins anymore.

Amen so the next time the enemy tries to bring up amen to you amen the thing that God has set you free from the next time the enemy amen tries to remind you of what you did amen let him know praise God that the God you serve said he will not remember it.

The God you serve said he's put into a seal for giftfulness the God you serve said he will not hold it to your charge.

The God you serve said that's a done deal the God you serve said it's a dead issue.

The God you serve said amen that's not a part of me anymore.

The God you serve amen praise God amen every time amen I go to my hometown praise God amen folks try to remember me for who I was amen praise God and they try to call me amen for the name I used to have and I don't when I don't answer to them they think I'm being funny or they think I'm trying to be some kind of way but I just want them to know that I ain't that same guy anymore.

Amen the God I serve amen amen he washed all that stuff away amen he changed all of that stuff so when you call that name amen there is no response from me it don't get no reaction because I'm not that same person.

But if they call that name and you react to it that means some of that stuff is still down there.

But when you wash it all out the God you serve amen.

So you got to understand praise God amen that when you become a new creature when you become a new man God has changed all of that stuff amen and what you used to respond to you don't respond to anymore.

Well used to get your attention don't get your attention anymore what we used to bother you don't bother you anymore.

Well used to get on your nerves just don't get on your nerves anymore.

Praise God amen you got to understand amen that you serve a covenant God and a God that is big enough and strong enough amen and powerful enough that he's not concerned about the little stuff he's not concerned about where you are he's not concerned about what position you are in.

He's not concerned about when you finish the race he just said finish the race finish the race amen praise God amen amen praise God amen and so so today amen if we look at our text amen we understand amen praise God amen that we serve a covenant God and we're under covenant relationship amen so the first thing amen that we're going to deal with praise God amen in this text amen is God's responsibility amen amen minute can you put my text back up praise God amen amen could you put the uh the the scripture back up amen praise God where I can and just hold it there amen amen and so we want to deal with this text today amen the first thing we're going to deal with is God's ability to perform and watch over his word and promises that he has made and know that he is a keeper of his word amen so the Bible says and Elisha died and they buried him and a band of Moabites invaded the land and came and came in the same year amen you got to understand praise God amen amen that this is important praise God because Elisha was the protege of Elijah and the last miracle of Elijah amen was he asked elisha he said what shall I do for you and he said what I want you to do for me he said I just want a double portion of your spirit amen I want what you have amen to fall on me twice.

Amen and when you follow and look at amen the amen the miracles of Elijah amen the Bible records 16 miracles to Elijah amen but at the time of Elisha's death elisha has only recorded 31 miracles so if God didn't do something then God would be a liar amen but the Bible says amen amen let every man be a liar amen but our God speaks the truth and tell the truth amen so we said and Elisha died Elisha died and a band of the Moabites invaded the land of the coming of the year next next verse and it came to pass as they was burying a man and behold that they spied a band of men and they cast a man into the scepter of Elisha and when the man was let down he touched the bones of Elisha and he revived and stood on his feet some of you are in the position that you're in because your grandmother and your mother was in covenant relationship with God you got to understand that the stuff that's going on in your life the movement of God you thought she died and she left some things short but God is a covenant keeper God is a man that looks over his word he said heaven and earth shall pass away but not one dot or tittle of my word so Elisha was short one miracle he was short one miracle of completing what God said he would do and just give him a double portion if my math is correct 16 and 16 is 32 so if it's only 31 then something is wrong like this he the math ain't math but understand about the active word of God even in Elijah's dead state his bones there was a miracle in his bones even in your dead state you you think you're dead but you got somebody that was praying for you somebody that was calling your name somebody that was watching over you and you think you in this situation because of you but it is God it is God honoring covenant word when I think about my life and I look back over it my mother in that small little church and but communion time comes she was always there for communion they didn't do communion like we did it here we do it here amen every month the first of the month but in those churches they didn't do communion but on every quarter some of them did it once twice a year but every quarter they did communion but on communion Sunday she was like no y'all got to get up we got to go to church today it's communion Sunday she understood that this is the covenant relationship that God has with us so it looked like it didn't matter about who the man was the Bible says the Bible says that when they was in a funeral procession so they had to cut it short because the in in that same year Elijah had died and when Elijah had died so the enemy got his eyes on you the enemy is watching you see Elijah was was was was called to be amen the hoard of Israel he was he he he was the prophet he was the seer he was the protection amen he was the arm of Israel and so the Moabites say well oh Elijah is gone see the enemy think praise God amen amen that as soon as you get out on your own as soon as amen amen look like your protection is gone amen then he move in quickly and not only quickly he moves in swiftly so you got to understand you got you swear there's the enemy amen that he's watching over you he's looking to see amen amen he's waiting for you to look like amen there's a crack amen in your armor look to see amen amen that you are not in the place that you're supposed to be in but you need to know that you serve a covenant a covenant relationship God a covenant relationship God and because of covenant God said I am married to the backslider I'm married whoa my my heart so you got to understand that that it said that they was having a burial procession in the Moabites a band of the Moabites saw oh my they lead are gone the protection is gone the shield is gone we can move in now we can go in and tear some stuff up amen we can go in and tear the house up amen but they got to understand amen that Elisha amen Elijah was just following the plan of God amen amen because the covenant was Israel amen was with God amen Elijah was just a man that was in place at the time amen but but it's important amen for that man that they was burying because amen his new life was attached to amen that miracle amen when they threw him in the bone the scepter of Elijah didn't matter what his name was didn't matter who he was Bible don't tell us that amen let's know that's not important praise God praise God amen doesn't matter amen who you are and what you did and how things look amen what's only important that when you come into the active word of God my amen that God will change you amen that God will change you amen so the Bible lets us know that when they threw the man into amen the scepter of Elisha that the man touched the dead bones of Elisha and it's so much life when it's it's so much life in the word of God that when every dead issue touch the live word of God it's got to revive I don't care what they say is dead in your life I don't care what situation that they say that you can't come back from I don't care what they say amen amen amen it's a turnaround in your life I don't care what they say when that situation touched the live active word of God the live active word of God oh my oh my so when he when he threw him into the scepter of Elisha the Bible said when he touched his bones oh my when he touched his bones the Bible said there was a woman that had an issue of blood for 12 long years she had been around did everything so every doctor amen that she could see but when she touched the hymn of Jesus gone when she touched the active word of God when she touched the life of God that life had to come into her that that that was hell in her had to dry up woman oh God I thank you here and so we see it's important here amen to understand praise God amen that God is watching over his word that God is watching over everything that he has promised your house amen that God is watching over everything that he has promised your children amen amen David said I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor a seed begging bread amen praise I'm not concerned about where my children are now I'm not concerned about what they're doing now I'm not concerned about their situation now because I got them on a the active word of God and what I've seen in their life is bound to happen it got to come to pass because God has promised me oh my my huh when I look back over my life it's the active word of my mother and how she prayed for me and how she prayed over my life it's her active word that I didn't get killed under a house when I was 12 years old that I didn't get killed in a car accident it's her active word oh my oh my and so we come here and we look praise God and we see amen amen that that was important because that was the completion of the double portion that was completion of God performing his word amen to Elisha that we're gonna give you a double portion praise God and and and we and we talked about we said the thing praise God amen amen amen about amen being in covenant relationship amen is the ability and responsibility for whoever is making the covenant to be able to adhere to the covenant God is making the covenant God is able to adhere to every word that he has promised you God is able to adhere to everything that he has spoken over your life God is able to adhere to every situation that he has said amen over your life so you some of some of us amen look at things and we look at situations but I want you to know that the God you serve he's bigger than your problems the God you serve he's bigger than your issues the God you serve he's bigger than your circumstances the God you serve he's more powerful than cancer the God you serve oh my yeah the God you serve he's stronger than everything whoa my and so when we look at this amen we see praise God amen that that the enemy amen he looked to move in quickly he thought Israel was without protection he thought there was without protection praise God amen amen put up the I'm gonna go back to my scripture amen I think it's the 20 second the 23rd verses of scripture praise God amen that I want to amen and no no yes the 23rd he said and the Lord was gracious unto them and had compassion on them and had respect unto them because of his covenant with Abraham Isaac and Jacob and would not destroy them neither cast them from his presence you need to understand that the God you serve the God we serve amen amen he's a covenant relationship God and so this was Israel's amen this was Israel protection because they was in covenant relationship with God but now let's come down to our situation let's look at us praise God amen and look at amen amen our communion amen and someplace they call it amen the amen the Eucharist amen and it's considered to be the the the blessing that Jesus prayed over the bread amen but the communion is the body and the blood of Jesus if you're going anybody anywhere any church that does not believe in the body and the blood of Jesus you cannot be in communion or covenant with God because Jesus said this is the new covenant this is the new agreement this is the new thing he said take eat this is my body and the blood and the covenant of the new testament so when we come today praise God amen to this scripture and understand that when we come to this scripture amen the 23rd Psalm amen amen that is the Lord's protection that is the prophetic word of this scripture that the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want he maketh me to lie down in green pastures he leadeth me beside the still waters he restores my soul he leads me in the path of righteousness for his name's sake Yea, do I walk through the valley in the shadows of death?

For I will fear no evil.

But thy art with me, thy rod and thy stand comfort me, thy prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemy.

Understand, amen, that when you come in this communion with God, what you did today, you come in communion with God, that there is no situation, there is nothing that is going on, huh?

There is no place that you could be.

That God will not protect you.

The Bible lets us know, praise God.

In Philippians 2, it elevenses that God has given him a name above every name.

That in the name of Jesus.

He told Ezekiel to speak to these bones.

Prophesy.

You got to understand that there are some situations going on in your life.

There is stuff, praise God, that it looked like it can't live, that it looked like it's in trouble.

But I dare you to begin to prophesy to it.

You hear enough dead stuff, huh?

But you gotta begin to speak life.

You are you all serve a God that understands that you're gonna miss the mark.

But we got a savior.

That's why the Bible says, when I'm weak, then he is strong.

That's where he wants to strengthen you, that's where he wants to strengthen you, he wants to carry you through those weak places because it's in those weak places that you really get relationship, that you really get a God that understands.

That's why the Bible lets us know, amen, that we have not a high priest that had not been touched by the feelings of our infirmities.

He understands your weakness, he understands your light places, he understands, amen.
