  1. Excellent. All right. The Dangerous Christian. It's going to be,

  2. I don't know, maybe two, three, maybe even four weeks worth.

  3. I'm just excited about it, which is good. I've got a few questions to ask you.

  4. But before that, I want to just read a couple of scripture passages,

  5. which basically binds it all up.

  6. So the first one, Mark 16, verses 16 to 18, which says, He who believes and

    Mark 16:16–18

  7. is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

  8. And these signs will follow those who believe. In my name, they will cast out demons.

  9. They will speak with new tongues. They will take up serpents.

  10. And if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them.

  11. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

  12. Hallelujah. That's a dangerous Christian. That's a dangerous Christian.

  13. Luke 10 and verse 19, Behold, I give you authority to trample on serpents and

  14. scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

  15. A couple of questions I've got for you this morning, okay?

  16. Are you the Christian the devil warns his kingdom and his co-workers about?

  17. Good. or do you even show up on his radar?

  18. Does our presence on this planet disturb the devil or does he even recognize that we're here?

  19. Does the devil see you get up in the morning and go, uh-oh, uh-oh,

  20. they're awake, they're up again?

  21. Does the devil plug his ears because you speak so much from the word of God

  22. and you praise God so much? Does he block his ears?

  23. Or does he think he's being serenaded because you're always speaking negativity,

  24. worry, stress, anxiety, fear,

  25. doubt, and the things he really loves to hear. Are you serenading him?

  26. Sadly, I believe the majority of the church doesn't even disturb the devil,

  27. much less tear down his kingdom.

  28. And that's what I want us to be prepared for in this series,

  29. to be able to tear down the kingdom of evil, the devil's kingdom, okay?

  30. Somebody, hypothetically speaking, needs to blow the trumpet in the ear of the

  31. church and stir her up to fight.

  32. 1 Corinthians talks about that. 1 Corinthians 14 and verse 8 says,

  33. For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?

  34. And the New Living Translation says it this way. It says, and if the bugler,

  35. I said the burglar, if the bugler doesn't sound a clear call,

  36. how will the soldiers know they are being called to battle?

  37. I think God's put it on my heart to be a bit of a bugler this morning.

  38. To be a bugler, be a bugler and sound a clear call so that we can know how and

  39. when and why we are called into battle. Right.

  40. I'm sure that when the bugler blows his bugle in someone's ear,

  41. it's probably not that greatly appreciated, okay?

  42. But the whole war is dependent upon wide awake, battle-ready saints.

  43. And that's what I want us to be.

  44. The sight of a slumbering church just does not disturb the devil in any way at all.

  45. But a wide awake, spiritual army on her feet in full armor and battle ready,

  46. it rattles hell. It really rattles hell.

  47. The truth is just the sight of a believer and the sound of their voice should

  48. send shockwaves through hell.

  49. It really should. Every step you take walking with Jesus should sound like thunder in a demon's ears.

  50. They should dread being in your presence.

  51. They should live in fear that they will be identified and evicted.

  52. Well, that's what we're going to do.

  53. We're going to get ourselves battle ready.

  54. We're going to become dangerous so that we can evict those demons from our lives

  55. and identify them and get rid of them. Amen?

  56. The devil feared the presence of Jesus and of Paul, the apostle.

  57. The demons of hell knew who Jesus and Paul were, and they were fearful.

  58. Why is it the devil and the demons of hell maybe do not know who you are?

  59. The answer is, maybe you don't know who you are either.

  60. Many Christians believe that just because at some point in time they asked Jesus

  61. to come into their heart, that from then on they are protected and empowered

  62. and seated in a place of authority over the devil.

  63. That would be nice, but it's not even close to being true.

  64. The truth is, is that Jesus is in your heart or Jesus in your heart is a source

  65. from which everything originates and flows and bursts into manifestation.

  66. But there's a couple of conditions on that happening.

  67. There's a couple of conditions and requirements for walking and living in the power of God.

  68. First of all, we have to know who we are in Christ.

  69. We have to know who we are in Christ. And secondly, you have to live in fellowship and union with Jesus.

  70. Then we're battle ready. Then we'll battle. My aim and my goal over this series

  71. is to make you into a dangerous Christian.

  72. That the devil does see you wake up in the morning and goes,

  73. they're awake. Here we go.

  74. I want you to be radioactive to the devil.

  75. I want you to be the devil's kryptonite.

  76. Come on. So that when he sees you and hears your voice, he goes weak at the knees.

  77. That's who we need to be. I feel the Holy Spirit saying it's time to build up the saints. It's time.

  78. We have to be in the business of not just survival, but we have to get the body of Christ into shape.

  79. We've got to devote our time to getting the church in the best shape it's ever been in.

  80. And I believe 2025 is a year where we need to get into shape spiritually as a church.

  81. We're not going to be on a spiritual vacation because we won a round of the war.

  82. No, we need to be ready. The war is still raging.

  83. It's raging every day, and we need battle-ready Christians that are built up

  84. in faith and trained in spiritual warfare who know how to use the weapons that they've been given.

  85. Yeah? I believe when the devil looks at High Life Church,

  86. I want him to see a dangerous church, a dangerous church, dangerous to him and

  87. dangerous to his demonic agenda, high life church.

  88. That's what I feel the Holy Spirit telling me. I want you to make my people dangerous to hell.

  89. I want you to help train them, develop their spiritual muscles so that when

  90. hell hits them with something, they'll just laugh.

  91. They'll just laugh because they know who they are in Christ,

  92. because they know the power that's been invested in them because they know the

  93. authority that they have. That's us.

  94. When the devil looks at you, he should see Jesus.

  95. When the devil hears you, he should be hearing Jesus.

  96. That's a dangerous church. There's no legitimate reason, no legitimate reason

  97. at all that any Christian should be defeated by the devil. There's no reason why.

  98. But don't misquote me on that. I didn't say Christians wouldn't have a hard time.

  99. The Bible has made it clear that we can expect trials and tests of every kind.

  100. Peter said in 1 Peter 4 verse 12, Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery

    1 Peter 4:12

  101. trials you are going through, as if something strange is happening to you.

  102. Psalm 34, 19, the righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

  103. Paul told us that we will go through hard places, but instead of breaking us,

  104. it will make us, it will harden us.

  105. It will battle, harden us. 2 Timothy 2 verse 3 says, endure suffering with me

    2 Timothy 2:3

  106. as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

  107. A true high quality knife or a sword, who likes knives and swords?

  108. A true high quality knife or sword is basically worthless until it's hardened.

  109. Okay. And to be hardened, it's got to be put through the fire.

  110. It's got to be put through the fire. But the fire is a necessary part of making

  111. the weapon strong and useful.

  112. The fire is not going to kill us. The fire is part of the process of making

  113. us dangerous Christians.

  114. We learn from it. We're strengthened by it.

  115. When I started high school, when I went to high school, I used to go to St.

  116. Andrew's Cathedral School, the Anglican Church School of Sydney.

  117. And it was a very wealthy school. It's probably why I only lasted three years

  118. there before I had to go to not quite a wealthy school.

  119. But everything they had was top notch.

  120. Everything they had was top notch. They had every modern and new weight training equipment.

  121. They had a gymnasium on the eighth floor of a building. It was an incredible school.

  122. And it had all the best equipment that was on the market.

  123. But here's what I understand now about that. It didn't really matter how much

  124. more expensive or how more advanced their equipment was.

  125. The only thing that really mattered was how they used what they had.

  126. I want to tell you something. We're on a higher level than the kingdom of darkness in every way.

  127. Everything we have is better and more powerful and more efficient to what's

  128. available on the devil's side.

  129. But the deciding factor is, are we using what we have?

  130. Are we using what we have? Are we building ourselves up on our most holy faith,

  131. praying in the Holy Spirit every day?

  132. Are we studying the word daily?

  133. Are we praying, worshipping, meditating on the Lord day and night?

  134. Do we have an inventory of what our spiritual weapons are? Do we know how to

  135. use our spiritual weapons?

  136. Are we full of the Spirit or are we running on fumes?

  137. Ephesians 5 verse 17 to 20 says, Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what

    Ephesians 5:17–20

  138. the Lord wants you to do. Don't be drunk with wine because that will ruin your life.

  139. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual

  140. songs among yourselves and making music to the Lord in your hearts.

  141. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  142. The literal translation of that verse, the literal translation is be filled

  143. and keep being filled, even to excess,

  144. even to excess, overflowing in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,

  145. just like Roy and Sayer sang to us last week.

  146. Be overflowing with that stuff. Be filled to overflowing with that stuff.

  147. It literally means to be under the influence, the strong influence of the Holy

  148. Spirit, like a person is when they're drunk.

  149. They didn't understand what was happening, but they couldn't deny that something

  150. was having a visible and indisputable effect on those who were in the upper

  151. room when that Holy Spirit fell.

  152. It is critical that we understand that we are in spiritual battles.

  153. It's raging every day. Hell is on a rampage. And the fact is warfare is not going to go away.

  154. You simply must learn how to fight and become dangerous Christians.

  155. To Corinthians 10, verse 3 to 5, Paul the Apostle said, we are human,

  156. but we don't wage war as humans do.

  157. We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds

  158. of human reasoning and destroy false arguments.

  159. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God.

  160. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

  161. Let me try to bring a little bit of perspective into this for you.

  162. Okay. You could spend an hour a day every day walking through the gym,

  163. examining all the different equipment and being impressed by the high developed

  164. physics of those who have been diligently working out.

  165. But if you don't move to the next level and start using those weights,

  166. nothing will ever happen.

  167. Sure, you're in the right place. You're in the right place. The gym,

  168. everything you need is present and available.

  169. But until you take hold of those weights and start pushing them or walking or

  170. running on that treadmill, nothing will ever change.

  171. The same is true spiritually.

  172. You can be spiritually serving the best ribeye steak every Sunday when you come

  173. to church, which we try to do.

  174. But if you don't eat it, you'll always be a spiritual weakling.

  175. And we can teach you who the Bible says you are and the weapons you have and how to use them.

  176. But if you don't engage and take hold of those weapons and start doing what

  177. the word says, you're always going to be fearful and anxious and worried and defeated and puny.

  178. And when you're being confronted by the devil, you'll run away from him with

  179. your tail between your legs.

  180. You need to receive, you need to use.

  181. This should never happen to a child of God. Never happen.

  182. When Goliath confronted and shouted his death threats at David,

  183. David did not tuck his head off and run off with his tail between his legs.

  184. No. Tim, what did David do? Good question.

  185. Well, I'm glad you asked. The Bible says David hasted and ran at the giant,

  186. swinging his slingshot. That's what David did.

  187. Then David let the stone go. and it sunk into Goliath's forehead.

  188. The stone sunk into his forehead, and Goliath fell to the ground.

  189. And you know what David did then?

  190. David then ran and stood upon the giant. He drew Goliath's sword,

  191. and what did he do? Cut his head off.

  192. That's a spiritual weapon. That's a spiritual weapon. How many agree that David was dangerous?

  193. I want us to be dangerous.

  194. God wants to make us dangerous Christians. The devil should wince in pain where

  195. he hears your name being spoken of. Ooh, ouch.

  196. The Bible you carry under your arm or in your pocket or on your iPad.

  197. Or in your purse, is the sword of the Spirit.

  198. It's the sword of the Spirit. It's a nuclear blasting power to the kingdom of darkness.

  199. The Bible is. It's your greatest weapon against the devil.

  200. But it can't just stay under your arm. It can't just stay closed on your iPad.

  201. It can't stay in your purse. It has to get into your heart and come out of your mouth.

  202. Then we will attack. Then we will beat the devil. You know what?

  203. With the word of God, with that word of God, God created the heavens and the earth.

  204. With that word, Jesus cast out 2,000 demons.

  205. With that word, Jesus cursed a fig tree and it died.

  206. With that word, Jesus called Lazarus out from the grave.

  207. With that word, Jesus defeated the devil in the wilderness.

  208. With the word of God. With the word, Jesus opened blind eyes.

  209. Unstopped deaf ears, healed the centurion's servant and raised Jairus' daughter from the dead.

  210. With the word, Jesus calmed a raging storm. With the word.

  211. Get it out of the Bible, into your heart and out of your mouth.

  212. And here's what Jesus did. He gave us that word.

  213. He gave us the word and he gave us his name And he gave us the right and the

  214. authority to use his word and his name as a weapon against hell.

  215. And then he gave us the Holy Spirit to empower us. And he said,

  216. the works that I do, you shall do also.

  217. And greater works than these you shall do because I go to my father.

  218. There's a new breed of believers rising up in this hour, I believe.

  219. They are bold. They're persuaded. They're anointed. They're committed.

  220. And they're dangerous. They're dangerous.

  221. The day of the casual Christian is over. The day of the dangerous Christian is now.

  222. Is now. Whether you like President Trump or not, he's going to start talking about.

  223. Whether you like President Trump or not is not the point here,

  224. okay? Dave, but I heard someone say the other day about President Trump's cabinet choices.

  225. He said they're disruptors.

  226. President Trump's cabinet are disruptors. So here's the point.

  227. When she said that, when that person said that, I felt something go off in my

  228. spirit about disruptors.

  229. You know what? That's what God's calling us to be.

  230. He's calling us to be disruptors, not negotiators or compromisers or those who

  231. just go along and get along.

  232. He's looking for and calling for disruptors.

  233. A disruptor is necessary. No disrupting.

  234. A disruptor is necessary because they interrupt the casual, the comfortable,

  235. and the established pattern of things.

  236. They are often looked upon in an unfavorable light because they resist the settled

  237. conformity and established norms.

  238. They're always stretching and pushing the envelope to reach greater results.

  239. Whether you know it or not, a true fire-baptized Christian is by definition a spiritual disruptor.

  240. Someone would call it a non-conformist, and that's exactly right,

  241. because have a listen to what Romans says.

  242. Romans 12, verses 1 to 2. And so, dear brothers and sisters,

    Romans 12:1–2

  243. I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all that he has done for you.

  244. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice, the kind he will find acceptable.

  245. This is truly the way to worship him. Here we go. Listen to this bit.

  246. Don't copy the behavior and customs of the world, but let God transform you

  247. into a new person by changing the way you think.

  248. Then you will learn how to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

  249. We've got to be disruptors. We've got to be disruptors.

  250. As I said, whether you like him or not,

  251. President Trump is filling his cabinet with disruptors because he plans to make

  252. for dramatic changes and he is choosing people that will work with him to do just that.

  253. So here's the point I'm aiming at this morning. I feel that some mandate,

  254. spiritually speaking, is on the church.

  255. Jesus said, work while it is day, for the night comes when no man can work.

  256. We're in a season of great opportunity, church, but we have to seize that day.

  257. We have to move aggressively and boldly against the evil and the darkness in our world.

  258. It's not the season for tiptoeing through the tulips like Tiny Tim.

  259. It's not the season for that. This is the season for disrupting.

  260. Isn't it? Aren't you excited?

  261. Let's do some disrupting. Let's do some disrupting.

  262. And you know what we're disrupting? We're disrupting the plans and the works of the devil.

  263. That's what we're doing. the word disrupt means

  264. to interrupt to interfere to confuse

  265. to upset to unsettle to obstruct to ruin to ruin to wreck and to discontinue

  266. we need to be some spiritual disruptors we really do do we have any spiritual

  267. disruptors in the church this morning Andrew put both your hands up Andrew.

  268. Do we have any Christians who want to interrupt and interfere and upset and

  269. unsettle and confuse and wreck and discontinue the devil's efforts?

  270. Yeah, we need to. We need to.

  271. If we will move boldly and aggressively as disruptors in the spirit,

  272. we can set the kingdom of darkness way back, way back.

  273. On this Australia Day, here we go. I've got Australia Day into my message this

  274. morning. On this Australia, this is the time that we take back the airwaves

  275. and the atmosphere in our country.

  276. This is the time to destroy the spirit of political correctness in our country.

  277. Amen, Margaret? Amen.

  278. Which was really the Trojan horse that bought in transgenderism,

  279. child mutilation. Now he's getting serious.

  280. Sexual exploitation of our children, Kelly, political correctness has brought

  281. all of that stuff in, and we need to be disruptors to that.

  282. Our battle is not a spiritual battle with flesh and blood.

  283. The Bible says, I haven't got Josh here, but Josh, come on up for me.

  284. You're ready to come up now. Yeah, I know there's one more verse,

  285. but I'm going to get to that. I'll just read it out and people can listen. Okay.

  286. Our battle is not a spiritual and not a natural battle with flesh and blood.

  287. The Bible says in Ephesians 6.12, For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies,

  288. but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world,

  289. against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

  290. We need to get those evil spirits out of the heavenly places.

  291. In this season, God is raising up dangerous Christians who are spiritual disruptors.

  292. Am I speaking to anybody today? Am I speaking to anybody here today who is sick

  293. and tired of what the devil's been doing to our country?

  294. Yeah, yeah. Our children, our grandchildren, are we sick and tired of that?

  295. Come on, I'm getting excited here. There has been an all out attack on the family unit.

  296. Then we've been turning our schools into a propaganda machine. Yes.

  297. Who's ready to be a disrupter? Come on. Who is ready to be an armed and dangerous

  298. Christian? Well, let's stand and let's pray.

  299. Come on, let's stand together. Thank You, Lord.

  300. Thank You, Lord. Lord, we want to disrupt.

  301. We want to disarm. We want to set the Kingdom of hell back.

  302. Lord, we want to set back the spiritual wokeness of this country,

  303. Lord God, but step into a new Kingdom of power and might in the Holy Spirit.

  304. Lord, we want to be dangerous Christians who are not prepared to accept what we're told to accept.

  305. No, Lord, we're not gonna accept that. We wanna accept, Lord,

  306. what's true and right and just in Your Kingdom, Lord God.

  307. Lord, we pray in Jesus' Name that You empower the saints.

  308. You empower every person here this morning to be dangerous. And Lord,

  309. we understand, Lord, that we have that power in us.

  310. And Lord, we need to bring it out and we need to speak it out.

  311. We need to sing it out, not lose our song, Lord, but sing it out and ask for

  312. the power of God to fall on this place in Jesus' Name.

  313. We have that power. So Lord, fill us this morning with Your Holy Spirit to overflowing.

  314. Overflowing in Jesus' Name. Overflowing by the power of God.

  315. Overflowing by the power of the Holy Spirit to go into this world and make a

  316. difference, to be dangerous.

  317. Lord, when the devil sees us wake up, he starts shaking and going, oh no, Brad's awake.

  318. Oh no, Sayah's awake. They're all awake. Andrew's awake. He's coming for me.

  319. I am worried. Well, devil, you need to be worried because we are over the situation

  320. that's going on in this world now.

  321. We are over it and we wanna do something about it. and we're gonna do.

  322. Music.

  323. Right now, Lord God. Empower us. Lord, I dare I say, Lord, give us every opportunity

  324. this week to speak out against what is not of You, Lord God.

  325. Every opportunity, Lord God. And let us be prepared.

  326. Let us be bold. Let us be prepared to disrupt in Jesus' Name.

  327. Hallelujah. Thank You, Lord. Thank You, Jesus, Lord.

  328. Music.

  329. We love You, Lord God. We praise You for the fact that You want to inspire us

  330. to greatness in Your Name.

  331. Lord, You are proud of us, Lord God. When we decide that we are going to speak

  332. out Your Word and sing Your hymns and Your psalms and Your songs, Lord God,

  333. and be empowered to make a difference, You are proud of us, Lord God.

  334. But Jesus, we love You, we worship You, and we thank You for the authority that

  335. You've given us to do those things, to tread on that evil,

  336. to heal the sick, to cast out the demons, to overcome.

  337. Lord, we thank you for that authority that you've given us. We praise your name. We praise you, Jesus.

  338. Music.

  339. We thank you, Lord. Bless your name.

  340. Bless your name. I bless you, church. I bless you in Jesus' name to be dangerous, to be disruptors,

  341. to be dangerous to the kingdom of hell, to be a disruptor to the schemes of the enemy.

  342. I bless you with that in Jesus' Name. I bless you with that authority that Jesus

  343. has given you and that you will go into the world and you will make a difference.

  344. You will not settle for what is not of God. You will not compromise,

  345. but you will step forward in strength.

  346. I bless you with that in Jesus' Name. Hallelujah.
