  1. Part two of our series entitled Dangerous Christians.

  2. And of course, I know, Ben, you've come a couple of weeks in a row now because

  3. you wanted to know what a dangerous Christian was.

  4. But of course, we're talking about being dangerous on a spiritual plane.

  5. Some people are a bit disappointed by that now. They're going,

  6. oh, I just want to be dangerous.

  7. I just want to know. We're talking about our spiritual plane and our position

  8. with Christ and the authority through that relationship to disrupt,

  9. to confuse and to dismantle the kingdom of darkness. Amen.

  10. So that's what we're all about, to awaken and disturb the realms of darkness. That was last week.

  11. If you didn't hear last week's message, it is on the podcast.

  12. If you go to the church website, you can find last week's message.

  13. And even if you were here, have a recap.

  14. I do. I do regularly. So, because, you know, I'm preaching to myself as well.

  15. I love it. I love the fact that I get to prepare messages and then share them.

  16. And I feel like sometimes, you know, as I'm saying something,

  17. just going back here and going, yeah, that's great, Tim. Good preaching. I love it.

  18. And it is. I get so much strength from it.

  19. So I encourage you guys to get involved and listen and commit it to your own

  20. lives as well as we become dangerous Christians.

  21. So a couple of verses I want to start with. 1 John 5 verses 4 to 5 says,

    1 John 5:4–5

  22. For every child of God defeats this evil world. Every child of God defeats this

  23. evil world. And we achieve this victory, how?

  24. Through our faith, through our faith.

  25. And who can win this battle against the world?

  26. Only those who believe that Jesus is Son of God.

  27. The next one, Hosea, Hosea 4 and verse 6. And it's just the first part of that

  28. passage, which says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

  29. Okay. So you know what I'm going to get to this morning? To be a dangerous Christian

  30. is to have knowledge, to have knowledge.

  31. And let me ask you to have a think about this before I start.

  32. What is it that actually makes a Christian dangerous?

  33. What is it that makes a Christian dangerous? Well, I think number one,

  34. the number one thing that makes a Christian dangerous is what they know, is what they know.

  35. And number two that makes a Christian dangerous is what they have.

  36. So what they know and what they have.

  37. For the most part in this message, I'm going to focus on the number one of that

  38. equation, and that is what do we know? What do you know?

  39. And remember what Hosea 4 verse 6 says. It says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

    Hosea 4:6

  40. So what does that mean? If you look at it to the reverse, it's what you know

  41. that will make you great.

  42. Okay. In Jesus name.

  43. So for the most part, so a dangerous Christian, I believe, is an informed Christian,

  44. or you might say an intelligent Christian.

  45. And going back in the history of the church, sometimes intelligence and spirituality

  46. didn't necessarily go together.

  47. But I'm here to tell you this morning that intelligence and spirituality is

  48. a powerful thing, and it will make you extremely, extremely dangerous.

  49. Now, the Bible speaks of those who have a form of godliness.

  50. The Bible speaks of people who have a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.

  51. And I don't care how perfect we are, how beautiful your form is.

  52. We're all beautiful people. How beautiful your form is, your church ceremonies,

  53. doesn't matter about those, what your religion may be.

  54. And you spoke so well about religion, Andrew, and how it doesn't exist or it shouldn't exist.

  55. I don't care how your religion may be. Without the Holy Spirit and without the anointing, it's dead.

  56. Okay? It's dead. It may be pretty, but it's dead.

  57. Okay? It may impress some people, but it's dead. Okay?

  58. You can dress dry bones up, can't you? You can dress dry bones up,

  59. march them to church every Sunday, but if the breath of God or the wind of God

  60. or the Holy Spirit doesn't blow on them, what are they? They're dead.

  61. They're dead. They're bones. Yeah.

  62. Dry bones. Oh, I feel like getting my Valley of the Dry Bones preaching on again.

  63. I've done it for a few weeks, have I said? All right. I'm going to shock you here.

  64. I'm here to bring shock value to my preaching. I want to shock you,

  65. when intelligence and the Spirit come together, there's going to be a great explosion.

  66. There's going to be a great explosion, and there will also be great exposure.

  67. When intelligence and when the Spirit come together, there will be an exposure,

  68. and there will be a great reformation in the church, I believe.

  69. And that will bring great restoration of power where intelligence and the spirit come together.

  70. We will see a great revival.

  71. Amen. The devil has been dreading this day.

  72. He's been dreading this day because an intellect, an intelligent learned man

  73. or woman filled with the spirit and filled with power is the devil's worst nightmare.

  74. It's the devil's worst nightmare. When I speak of intelligence as well,

  75. Let me just explain this to you.

  76. When I speak of intelligence, I'm not saying you have to have a degree in theology to be used by God.

  77. No, far from it. Who's got a degree in theology?

  78. Elaine has. It's all right. You're still used by God.

  79. We don't need degrees in theology to be used by God.

  80. My use of the word intelligence simply means that you are a thinking person

  81. who studies and reasons and processes information and reaches a conclusion based upon true,

  82. trustworthy information, specifically the word of God.

  83. That's what an intelligent person is. When you walk through these doors,

  84. it's in my mind that I'm speaking to not only spiritual people,

  85. but also intelligent people.

  86. Who are not just hearing what is being said, but you're thinking about it as

  87. well, and you're comparing it with scripture, please do that.

  88. Whatever I say, compare it, check it, and make sure I'm on the right track,

  89. and you're reaching your own

  90. conclusions, okay, based upon your own study and knowledge of the word.

  91. That's what an intelligent person is, Okay?

  92. This is how the word becomes real to you.

  93. Okay? And it becomes a part of you, and that's what makes you a threat to the kingdom of darkness.

  94. Amen? Do you agree? You're with me? Good, good, good.

  95. Now, back to our text where it says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

  96. That scripture is stating a fact. Okay? It's stating a fact.

  97. Then at the same time, it's inadvertently stating a second fact And it's this

  98. Knowledge can save us from destruction Okay?

  99. That's why we don't preach here just for an emotional reaction or response I

  100. love it when everyone gets involved and gets inspired And they get emotional

  101. and they jump up and down and they shout But that's not our reasoning That's

  102. not our reasoning for preaching Okay?

  103. We are preaching for a result in our lives.

  104. We're preaching for a result, and that result is to educate us,

  105. to educate you, to give you practical, workable knowledge to make you a dangerous Christian, okay?

  106. So what makes a Christian dangerous to the devil?

  107. It's what we know. It's our intelligence. It's what we know.

  108. The devil's not defeated by spirituality alone, okay? In other words,

  109. shouting and singing and talking in tongues doesn't necessarily bother the devil.

  110. It's what you know that causes the devil to shake in his boots.

  111. I want to give you five foundational truths. If you're taking notes, there's five points.

  112. I very rarely preach on points, but there's five points I'm talking to you this

  113. morning, and they're five foundational truths from the Bible,

  114. and they're like nuclear bombs to hell.

  115. That's what they are. I feel like putting one of my videos on up here of,

  116. you know, concrete mixes exploding and, you know, rockets taking off and,

  117. you know, things like that.

  118. Nuclear bombs to hell. These five things will make the devil wish he never saw you.

  119. If you take these in and work with them, then the devil's going to be nervous.

  120. Five things the devil never wants you to know, okay?

  121. Tell your neighbor, I'm feeling smarter already. I'm feeling smart already and

  122. now tell them you look smarter too.

  123. Go on, tell them. There we go. Okay. So number one, the number one thing is

  124. you have to know that you are called by God.

  125. You have to know that you are called by God. And that fact is huge.

  126. It's huge because it means, first of all, you're wanted.

  127. It means you're important, you're valuable, and you're needed.

  128. Okay? You're called by God. Your salvation isn't an accident. It's by design.

  129. It's by design. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are completely committed

  130. to an intricate, yeah, that word. Thanks, Roy.

  131. Intrinsically involved in your coming to Christ. Thank you, mate.

  132. Intricately. That was the word I was trying to get, intricately,

  133. but same thing. Yeah, yeah, very close. Come on up, Roy. Come on. You come preach, Roy.

  134. Because no one can come to the Father except that the Spirit draws them.

  135. And no one can know the Father except through the Son.

  136. Okay. Luke 10 verse 22 says, My Father has entrusted everything to me.

    Luke 10:22

  137. No one truly knows the Son except the Father. And no one truly knows the Father except the Son.

  138. And those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. We are all chosen.

  139. We are all chosen. This is so powerful because anytime the devil tries to make

  140. you feel unworthy, undeserving and not good enough, you just have to remind

  141. him and say, hey, devil, I was called.

  142. I was called. Okay.

  143. 2 Timothy 1 verses 8 and 9 says, so never be ashamed to tell others about our

    2 Timothy 1:8

  144. Lord and don't be ashamed of me either, even though I'm in prison for him.

  145. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the good news.

  146. For God saved us and called us to live a holy life.

  147. He did this not because we deserved it, because we didn't, but because that

  148. was his plan from before the beginning of time to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

  149. So say this with me. I didn't just come. I was called.

  150. I was called. You didn't crash the party.

  151. You were invited to the party. You were invited to be a part of this family. That's us, okay?

  152. So number one, you have to know that you were called. Number two,

  153. you were chosen. You were chosen.

  154. Say this with me. I was chosen. I was chosen.

  155. That also is a big deal because to be chosen implies that there was a selection

  156. process that you made it through.

  157. You made it. You made it. I think somebody ought to stop right here,

  158. right now, jump up and thank God that you made it through the selection process. We all did.

  159. You made it through and you were chosen. Okay.

  160. I have to say personally, I don't know what God saw in me, but he chose me.

  161. Okay. I'm glad he chose me. We all need to be glad that we're chosen.

  162. I know it doesn't make sense.

  163. And there are still a lot of people that can't believe it. but he chose me.

  164. Awesome. So that means that whoever chose me saw something in me that they wanted.

  165. They saw something in me that they could use. And that's the case with all of us.

  166. Now, hidden in that word chosen is a word known as purpose.

  167. You were chosen for a purpose. Being chosen presupposes that there was something

  168. already in the mind of God and that when he looked at you, he said, there it is.

  169. There it is. I don't know how many he looked at before he saw me or he saw you,

  170. but I'm just glad that he looked at me and he said, there it is.

  171. There it is. Look at your neighbor and say, there it is.

  172. While I go and cough. Okay.

  173. The Bible says many are called, but few are chosen.

  174. You're called. You're called. I'm called to this ministry. It's not a job. It's a calling.

  175. I don't preach by profession. I preach by calling.

  176. I was called to preach. You're chosen.

  177. Jesus said, you didn't choose me, I chose you.

  178. Jesus chose you. He chose you and you're anointed, number three.

  179. The third point is you're anointed.

  180. Tell your neighbor, I'm anointed. I'm anointed.

  181. And that's no small thing either. It's no small thing.

  182. To be anointed means to be set apart. It means to be set apart,

  183. not just chosen, but beyond chosen, set apart.

  184. The Old Testament word is sanctified. It means to be set apart from the secular

  185. and set apart for the holy purpose of God. We're chosen. We're anointed.

  186. When God's anointing is on you, you're set apart.

  187. You don't fit in with the world anymore because you have been separated to God.

  188. You're in a world, but not in the world or not of the world. Okay.

  189. Next, the anointing is not just setting apart for God's purpose.

  190. The anointing is also equipping for God's purpose or for God's service.

  191. It is the supernatural power of God. In Acts 10, 38, I'm not sure if it's there, Gabe, is it?

  192. No, I'll read it out anyway. It says, and you know that God anointed Jesus of

  193. Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good

  194. and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. He was anointed.

  195. The anointing is not just for prophets and apostles either.

  196. The anointing is for every member of the body of Christ.

  197. Isaiah 10.27 says, It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be

  198. taken away from your shoulder and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will

  199. be destroyed because of the anointing.

  200. The yoke represents anything that is damaging, hindering.

  201. Binding, or oppressive That can be sickness that we've prayed about No one's

  202. sick here That's sickness that we've prayed about Disease, fear, depression,

  203. habits, addictions, poverty, and lack They're all yokes that are heavy on our backs Secondly,

  204. the yoke is referenced to not only the heaviness of the burden but also the

  205. spirit that holds people in bondage.

  206. It's a spiritual yoke that connects and holds two things together.

  207. Just think of the oxen who are yoked together, who are connected,

  208. they can't get away from each other.

  209. That's where we are when we're constrained by yokes.

  210. And that's what the devil tells you. You can never be free.

  211. You're my slave and I have you bound.

  212. But why did Jesus come? To set the captives free.

  213. Then Isaiah 58 verse 6 says, Is this not the fast that I've chosen to loose

    Isaiah 58:6

  214. the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go

  215. free, and that you break every yoke?

  216. Did you see that? Did you see that? It didn't say pray for God to destroy the yoke.

  217. It didn't say pray for it. It said that you will break every yoke.

  218. What is it that destroys the yoke? It's the anointing.

  219. It's the anointing upon us that destroys the yokes.

  220. We're anointed for the same purpose that Jesus was anointed,

  221. to destroy the works of the devil.

  222. Say, I'm anointed. Say it. Say it. I'm anointed. Do you know it?

  223. Do you believe it? Do you say it? You've just said it now, but do you say it

  224. regularly? Do you walk in the anointing?

  225. Does the devil know that you're anointed? Tell him, tell him.

  226. The next thing that will make you a dangerous Christian is the revelation that

  227. you're appointed. You are appointed.

  228. Say, I'm appointed. I love interactive church.

  229. The word appointed means to lay hands upon, to lay charge upon,

  230. to commission, to ordain, and to give an assignment.

  231. Okay, we're appointed. In Acts 22.10, Paul talks about being appointed.

  232. It says, So I said, what shall I do, Lord?

  233. And the Lord said to me, arise and go into Damascus, and there you'll be told

  234. all the things which are appointed for you to do.

  235. We're appointed. One of the most single, most powerful characteristics of Jesus,

  236. was his recognition of the life and the work that was assigned to him,

  237. that he was appointed to do.

  238. He knew he was appointed by God. No less than 40 times from Matthew to John,

  239. Jesus uses these exact words, sent me, sent me.

  240. These words were spoken in direct reference to his appointment and his assignment by God.

  241. The great thing to know about knowing that you're appointed by God is that nobody can disappoint you.

  242. If you're appointed by God, no one can disappoint you.

  243. In other words, no one can unassign you, okay?

  244. No one can unappoint you and no one can decommission you.

  245. So if you've been appointed, which we all are, that's it. You've been appointed. You've been appointed.

  246. There's something very powerful about knowing that you're appointed and that

  247. you're not here accidentally and that God has you here on assignment and his hand is on your life.

  248. That's our God. It gives you a rare kind of boldness, knowing that you're appointed

  249. by God and authority and much greater than yourself.

  250. Some people will even mistake your boldness for arrogance, but it's not.

  251. The Holy Spirit wants you to get into your spirit.

  252. The Holy Spirit wants to get into your spirit.

  253. You're not just a lowly pilgrim stumbling through this life,

  254. waiting for Jesus to come and get you.

  255. You're here by divine appointment.

  256. You're here by divine appointment. You are appointed and you're here on this

  257. planet on an assignment.

  258. Your assignment is if you choose to accept it.

  259. You're an ambassador for the kingdom of God, a representative of the king. You speak on his behalf.

  260. You speak on his behalf and you act on his behalf.

  261. You didn't appoint yourself. God did.

  262. God did. You didn't seat yourself in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  263. God did. You didn't raise yourself up from being dead in sins and trespasses.

  264. God did. God did. You didn't give yourself power to tread on serpents and scorpions

  265. and power to cast out devils and destroy yokes and set captives free?

  266. God did. God did. It comes with your appointment.

  267. That's the power that we have because of our appointment.

  268. There are some people that don't like the fact that God called you either.

  269. He chose you. He anointed you and he appointed you, but it doesn't matter.

  270. I'm not man called. I'm God called and I'm anointed and I'm appointed.

  271. Do you feel that? Hell is shaking right now.

  272. Hell is shaking right now because our knowledge of knowing that we are appointed,

  273. that we're chosen, we're set apart and we're appointed.

  274. Hell's getting nervous right now. The devil is concerned you're getting too

  275. much knowledge right now.

  276. Get it in there. Get it in there. You're becoming dangerous to hell.

  277. Now, I have to warn you, the knowledge is not only going to make you dangerous

  278. to hell, it's going to make you a bit of a target as well.

  279. There's the good views that you were waiting for.

  280. It's going to make you a bit of a target. You're becoming a threat to the devil's

  281. agenda, and that will make you a target.

  282. So you need to know this. The Holy Spirit wants you to know this.

  283. You are somebody. You are somebody. You are going somewhere. You have a job to do.

  284. You've been personally chosen by God for the job. You're anointed.

  285. You're appointed, and your life is filled with purpose.

  286. You don't live an accidental life Stumbling around hoping things good will happen to you No,

  287. you need to live an intentional life Walk with intention Talk with intention

  288. Pray with intention And give yourself with intention.

  289. You don't run from the devil You run at the devil You run at the devil You're

  290. on an assignment from God And God is in you and he's with you and he's for you.

  291. So run at the devil, run at the devil.

  292. So there we go. What are those five points again? Let me go back through them for you.

  293. You're called, you're chosen, you're anointed, you're appointed,

  294. and number five, you're authorized.

  295. Tell your neighbor, I'm authorized. I'm authorized.

  296. Who's ever performed a wedding ceremony? And he went, I have, I've done a couple.

  297. I'm authorized to do that. But we are authorized in God's name.

  298. You don't have to, where am I? Tell you, you're authorized.

  299. Authorized for what is the question

  300. I'm asking now. You're authorized to carry on the family business.

  301. The family business. Jesus said to his parents, don't you know that I must be

  302. about my father's business?

  303. You're authorized to carry on the family business.

  304. We are authorized to use the name of Jesus to carry out kingdom business.

  305. Okay The kingdom business we are authorized to carry out Is to continue to dismantle

  306. And destroy the devil's kingdom That's what we're authorized to do In his name In Jesus'

  307. name We are authorized to cast out sickness In his name We destroy yokes of

  308. bondages And habits and addictions And we set captives free We are authorized In his name we pray,

  309. In Jesus' name we pray.

  310. Jesus said, whatever you ask in my name, the Father will do.

  311. We're not only authorized to ask in his name, we're authorized to command in his name.

  312. You are authorized to command in Jesus' name.

  313. Jesus didn't say, pray to the Father in my name to cast out the devil.

  314. No, Jesus said, in my name, cast out the devil.

  315. Cast out the devil. That's commanding power that we have When Peter and John

  316. Raised the lame man up They didn't

  317. pray about it Before they did it They commanded him to get up in Jesus'

  318. name Because they were Appointed to that role.

  319. They were acting in the authority invested in them.

  320. Authority is given, but authority must also be exercised.

  321. You may have the power of attorney to manage someone's resources for them,

  322. but you have to exercise that authority by putting a demand on those resources.

  323. The same is true for us, for Christians. We have the authority by right of inheritance.

  324. And because we are sons of God We're

  325. authorized to do kingdom business In the name of

  326. Jesus But nothing will happen If we don't exercise our authority Listen to this

  327. powerful scripture Ecclesiastes 8 and verse 4 says Where the word of a king

  328. is There is power And who may say to him What are you doing?

  329. That's talking about us It's talking about us We are kings and priests unto God.

  330. But where is the power? It's in our mouth. It's in our mouth. Kings rule by decree.

  331. In other words, they speak what they want to come to pass. Power is released through the word.

  332. More specifically, through commands. We need to command things into being.

  333. We have the authority to command things into being. That's not to say anyone

  334. can just go around commanding anything that they want.

  335. They try anything that they want and God will back it up.

  336. Here is the revelation of being authorized. Authority comes through abiding in God.

  337. Authorization comes through relationship with God.

  338. John 15 verse 7 says this, If you abide in me and my words abide in you,

    John 15:7

  339. you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. Josh, come on up for me.

  340. Okay, let me finish up here and get ready for next week.

  341. So I've given you five, in effect, I've given you five smooth stones this morning,

  342. ready to put into your slingshot and ready to cast at the giant's head.

  343. I've given you five smooth stones.

  344. These revelations that we've shared

  345. today, and you get them down into your spirit, you will be dangerous.
