  1. Under the blood, under the blood.

  2. Okay. Let me read from Leviticus. Let's go back to the law and read a little

  3. bit of law to want to it to you.

  4. It's Leviticus 14 verses 14 to 18.

    Leviticus 14:14–18

  5. And it says, the priest will then take some of the blood of the guilt offering

  6. and apply it to the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand,

  7. and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified.

  8. Then the priest will pour some of the olive oil into the palm of his own left hand.

  9. He will dip his finger into the oil in the palm and sprinkle some of it with

  10. his finger seven times before the Lord.

  11. The priest will then apply some of the oil in his palm over the blood from the

  12. guilt offering that is on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of the right

  13. hand, and the big toe of the right foot of the person being purified. Are you following me?

  14. The priest will apply the oil remaining in his hand to the head of the person being purified.

  15. Through this process, the priest will purify the person before the Lord.

  16. Now for several days this week, several days...

  17. The Holy Spirit has been impressing on me, on my heart, the importance and the

  18. power of the blood of Jesus.

  19. Okay. I sense that the Holy Spirit and we're a week since Christmas and we're, sorry, since Easter,

  20. we're probably a few more weeks since Christmas, but we're a week since Easter

  21. and we're a week before a federal election.

  22. We're right in between Easter and an election.

  23. And I sense that the Holy Spirit is trying to send a notice to us,

  24. to the church, to get back to the blood, to get back to the blood,

  25. not only in our own thinking,

  26. but in our speaking and our thinking and our living. Amen.

  27. In Joshua 2 verse 18, it says this, when we come into the land,

    Joshua 2:18

  28. you must leave this scarlet rope hanging from the window through which you let us down.

  29. And all your family members, your father, mother, brothers, and all your relatives

  30. must be here inside the house. Now, this talks about Rahab the harlot.

  31. Rahab the harlot who saved herself and her entire family from destruction when

  32. she hung a scarlet thread from her window. Now, that scarlet thread represents the blood.

  33. Okay. Another example, Exodus 12, very well-known example to do with the blood.

  34. Exodus 12 and verse 23 says, For the Lord will pass through the land to strike down the Egyptians.

  35. But when he sees the blood on top and sides of the doorframe,

  36. the Lord will pass over your home.

  37. He will not permit the death angel to enter your house and strike you down.

  38. Now the children of Israel saved their entire household from the death angel

  39. when they applied the blood of the lamb to the top and the sides of the doorposts.

  40. Now, let's look again at our scripture from Leviticus this morning.

  41. The scripture that we read earlier, Leviticus 14, deals with the cleansing of a leper.

  42. Leprosy in the Old Testament was symbolic for sin.

  43. Now, what the text shows us is that the leper was not considered clean until

  44. the blood was applied to their life.

  45. And after the leper was pronounced clean by the application of the blood,

  46. then the priest would apply the oil on right on top of the blood.

  47. The oil was only applied where the blood was present.

  48. The importance of that to you and to I is this, okay?

  49. The Holy Spirit answers to the blood, Okay, if we're talking about applying

  50. oil to where the blood was applied,

  51. then that's saying to me that the Holy Spirit answers to the blood.

  52. The Holy Spirit witnesses to the blood.

  53. The Holy Spirit honors the blood.

  54. The Holy Spirit testifies to the blood.

  55. And the Holy Spirit, wait for it, waits for the blood.

  56. Waits for the blood. In other words, the Holy Spirit comes where the blood has been applied.

  57. First, it's the blood, and then it's the oil.

  58. If there's no blood, there's no salvation. If there's no blood,

  59. there's no deliverance. We're talking about blood this morning.

  60. I was thinking Angela in her preaching hands out gifts to people.

  61. I'm talking about blood this morning. I'm thinking, what could I hand out?

  62. No, I'm not handing out bags of blood to people.

  63. So if there's no blood, there's no deliverance. As I said, if there's no blood, there's no oil.

  64. There's no blood, therefore there's no power. There's no blood,

  65. there's no anointing. If there's no blood, there's no peace.

  66. If there's no blood, there's no authority. Are you following?

  67. If there's no blood, there's no joy.

  68. And if there's no blood, there's no protection. No wonder the Holy Spirit is

  69. trying to bring the church back under the blood No wonder the Bible says in

  70. Hebrews 9.22 In fact, according to the law of Moses,

  71. nearly everything was purified with blood.

  72. For without the shedding of blood, there's no forgiveness.

  73. Now, in a few weeks' time, we are celebrating Pentecost.

  74. In a few weeks, probably five or six weeks, I think it is, after 49 days there.

  75. To be exact. To be exact. Thank you, mate.

  76. 49 days. So, I'm here to tell you this morning that there is no Pentecost without Passover.

  77. There's no Pentecost without Passover. Passover, as we read,

  78. is when the death angel had to pass over the houses with the blood on the doorposts.

  79. There was a spirit of death that looked at every household, Egyptian and Israelite,

  80. and the only safe house was the house under the blood.

  81. Now, if there's no Pentecost without power, it means there's no fire without the blood. Okay.

  82. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came to the upper room and baptized

  83. 120 men and women in supernatural fire.

  84. But that was after the shedding of blood.

  85. In Acts 2 verse 1, let's read about it. On the day of Pentecost,

    Acts 2:1

  86. all the believers, all the believers, all those who were washed in the blood

  87. were meeting together in one place.

  88. Suddenly there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm

  89. and it filled the house where they were sitting.

  90. Then what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.

  91. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other

  92. languages as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

  93. You know what that's telling me? It's telling me that you've got to go to Calvary

  94. before you go to the upper room.

  95. You need to go and experience the blood before you go to the upper room and

  96. experience the power of the Holy Spirit.

  97. The pathway to power is soaked in blood.

  98. If you want to walk in power with the lion of the tribe of Judah,

  99. who doesn't want to walk with the lion of the tribe of Judah,

  100. first you have to be covered with the blood of the lamb.

  101. Amen? You have to be covered. I'm talking about the blood this morning.

  102. I'm talking about the blood of Jesus this morning.

  103. There's something happening in my spirit and in our spirits,

  104. I believe, when we talk of the blood.

  105. Something stands up inside of me, the hair on the back of my neck, and it stands up.

  106. I feel my spirit wake up. I feel the anointing, stirring.

  107. I thank God for the blood. I thank God for the blood. I know we're all modern today.

  108. We're all modern today, and we've got access to the libraries of the world at

  109. our fingertips through these sort of things, okay?

  110. We can flip on a TV anytime, day or night, and hear someone preaching or teaching the word, can't we?

  111. Angela and I listen to Elaine all the time, listening in her house to all this

  112. staticky preaching, but that's all right. We love it. We love it.

  113. So we've got Bibles on our tablets. We've got Bibles on our iPads and phones.

  114. We can study the Hebrew and the Greek, can't we, Andrew? just on our phone and

  115. the meaning of the Bible words right from our phones.

  116. We are in a hear it all, see it all, and know it all generation, aren't we?

  117. But for all our technology and all of our intelligence and know-how,

  118. I'm concerned that we've lost something, okay?

  119. Our grandmothers and our grandfathers, even perhaps our mothers and our fathers,

  120. didn't have access to all those modern conveniences and technology like we do today.

  121. But they had something that I believe we've lost in our modern high-tech church age.

  122. They understood the importance of living under the blood of Jesus.

  123. They understood the importance of it. They would do something they would call plead the blood.

  124. They would plead the blood.

  125. They would plead the blood on everything, the house, the car,

  126. the dog, the cat, the garden, everything was covered with the blood of Jesus.

  127. They pleaded, they pled the blood.

  128. They might not have understood it and we might not understand it,

  129. but that word plead is actually a legal term. It was an answer to judgment.

  130. Okay. The judge would say, you've been charged with such and such a crime. How do you plead?

  131. And the accused would answer, I plead guilty or I plead not guilty.

  132. Well, the legal proceedings such as that carries over to the spiritual realm as well.

  133. When the devil comes around saying, you've been accused of this or that or this

  134. crime, and the devil says you've sinned and you've come short of the glory of God.

  135. What is your defense? He says to you. Well, that's when you look the devil in

  136. the eye and you square back your shoulders and you say, I plead the blood.

  137. I plead the blood.

  138. I plead that the blood is my defense. The blood speaks for me.

  139. In the natural, here's a bit of obvious information for you here.

  140. In the natural, if you don't have blood, you're dead.

  141. Okay? If you don't have blood, I don't care how big you are,

  142. how muscular, how fit, how pretty the body may be, without the blood, you're dead. Okay?

  143. Have you noticed today, and in the world today, there's a bit of a fascination

  144. in the world over zombie movies and zombie TV shows.

  145. What's that show that's just come back on?

  146. The Last of Us? I think that's just come, if anyone's interested in zombie shows, The Last of Us.

  147. But there is, there's this fascination at the moment over zombie movies and

  148. dressing like zombies and acting like zombies.

  149. Okay. Do you know something? I've got to post a bit of a warning here.

  150. So put your seatbelts on and strap yourselves in.

  151. The church these days has become something like zombies.

  152. Okay. Zombies are the living dead or the walking dead. Okay.

  153. And that's what any church, any Christian without the blood in their life is.

  154. They're the walking dead. Told you to put your seatbelts on.

  155. Any church, any preacher, any pastor, any believer who does not love the blood

  156. is nothing but a spiritual zombie.

  157. Okay? There's no such thing as a Christian without the blood. Okay?

  158. Jesus said, except you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no life.

  159. That's what Jesus said. The gospel is a blood-soaked gospel. Amen.

  160. Calvary was blood-soaked.

  161. The cross of Jesus was soaked in blood. Sorry, Josh.

  162. Jesus carried his own blood into the holy place and offered it upon the mercy seat in heaven.

  163. His own blood. God accepted Jesus' blood as an offering for sin.

  164. And it's by and because of that same blood that you and I are saved today.

  165. So without the blood, you and I are dead. It's by and because of that same blood that we're saved.

  166. Now, church, listen to me. The Holy Spirit says to you today,

  167. lay aside those garments that are stained with sin and be washed in the blood of the lamb.

  168. There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean, oh, be washed in the blood of the lamb.

  169. The reason why many of our churches today are lifeless and powerless is because they're anemic.

  170. What does anemic mean? Lack of blood. Lack of red blood, I believe,

  171. isn't it, Ange? Yep. Anemia?

  172. Good. Yep. Hemoglobin.

  173. Margaret knew that too.

  174. So churches are lifeless in power because they're anemic. They're weak-blooded.

  175. They have a blood deficiency. Okay.

  176. If you want to see the power of God in the church again, then start talking about the blood.

  177. Sing about the blood. Testify about the blood.

  178. Testify about the blood. Preach about the blood and look for the blood.

  179. Look for the blood. That's what the Holy Spirit is looking for.

  180. That's the question the Holy Spirit is asking every church these days,

  181. I believe. Where is the blood?

  182. Where is the blood? Just as surely as the death angel passed through Egypt and

  183. death, and death came to every house where the blood was not applied.

  184. Death is passing through the land today, and the only safe place is under the blood.

  185. Under the blood. Australia, we have an election next week.

  186. Get under the blood. Get under the blood.

  187. Friends, everyone here, family, get under the blood.

  188. Get under the blood. And when we're back under the blood, you know what happens?

  189. We're back under power. We're back under the power.

  190. First it's blood, and then it's glory. First it's Passover, then it's Pentecost.

  191. First it's blood, then it's power. Blood on the right ear. Blood on the right thumb.

  192. Blood on the big toe of the right foot, then oil, then oil.

  193. After the blood was applied, the priests dumped the rest of the oil on the cleansed leper's head.

  194. And the head is representative of the whole body.

  195. When the head is anointed, the body is anointed. First it's cleansing,

  196. then it's blood, then it's power.

  197. The Bible says in Proverbs 28, 13, from the Passion Translation,

  198. it says, if you cover up your sin, you'll never do well.

  199. But if you confess your sins and forsake them, you will be kissed by mercy.

  200. The Bible was speaking of believers failing or sinning when it says in 1 John

    1 John 1:9

  201. 1 verse 9, but if we freely admit our sins, when the light uncovers them,

  202. and he will be faithful to forgive us every time.

  203. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and he will continue to

  204. cleanse us from all righteousness.

  205. It's nothing but the blood that cleanses us from our sins. and the blood can

  206. only cleanse what you confess, okay?

  207. The blood can only remove what you repent of. Let's talk about repentance for a little while.

  208. Repentance is more than just saying, I'm sorry. Repentance is a new way of living.

  209. Repentance is about face. It's turning around.

  210. Repentance is the doorway through which God's grace enters to empower us so

  211. that you can stop sinning.

  212. That's what repentance is.

  213. The prodigal son, let's think about the prodigal son. The prodigal son didn't

  214. just think about getting out of the pig pen.

  215. He actually got out of the pig pen. He didn't just change the way he thought about the pig pen.

  216. He picked himself up, set his feet on the ground and on the road to his father's house.

  217. He repented He repented The Holy Spirit doesn't come to us To wallow around

  218. with us in the pig pen Okay Jesus does love us the way we are Yes,

  219. But he also loves us too much To leave us the way we are It's time to start

  220. applying the blood everyone Josh come up for me.

  221. This must be the church's finest hour.

  222. I feel like Winston Churchill right now. This must be the church's finest hour.

  223. And in order for this to be our finest hour, we've got to get back to having

  224. Pentecostal power in our lives.

  225. And the only way we get to the power is through the blood.

  226. It's through the blood. The cross is the doorway to power in our lives.

  227. If there had been no Calvary and there had been no cross and there had been

  228. no crucifixion, then there would have been no blood,

  229. no resurrection, and then there would have been no Pentecost and there would have been no power.

  230. There's no shortcut to power.

  231. There's no testimony without a test, okay?

  232. There's no victory without a fight in our lives.

  233. There's no victory without a fight. There's no crown without a cross.

  234. And there's no power without blood.

  235. The devil's not afraid of our singing. And he isn't afraid of our shouting and our dancing.

  236. And he's not even afraid of our preaching.

  237. But there's one thing that sends shockwaves through hell. and that's a church

  238. that lives by the blood of the Lamb.

  239. Really is. A church that knows how to plead the blood. Plead the blood.

  240. A church that knows how to wage war by the power of the blood.

  241. And they overcame him, the Bible says, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

  242. Amen. Let's get back under the blood, everyone. Let's get back under the blood

  243. as we prepare to vote next Saturday, or some of us already have voted.

  244. It's a good feeling to have the votes done.

  245. As we prepare, let's start pleading the blood over our nation.

  246. Let's start pleading the blood over our politicians and government.

  247. Let's start pleading the blood over everything that has an impact to us in this country. Amen.

  248. Let's plead the blood. Let's stand by the blood that overcomes all.

  249. Let's let God arise in our lives and plead the blood. They overcame Him.

  250. They overcame it all by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

  251. Lord, we thank You, Father. We thank You, Jesus, for the blood.

  252. We thank You that the blood was shed. Lord, I thank You that the blood was shed

  253. for me and for all those, Lord God, who are with me today.

  254. Lord, the blood was shed so that we could overcome. The blood was shed so that

  255. we could then be anointed with the holy oil of power in our lives.

  256. Lord, the blood was shed so that we could overcome and that Lord,

  257. we could surrender to allow You to overcome, Lord.

  258. We thank You, Lord, for the blood that was shed for the remission of sin in our life.

  259. We thank You, Lord, for the blood that was shed that we could be healed of anything

  260. in Jesus' Name. We thank You, Lord, that the blood was shed.

  261. And what we do this morning, Lord, is we plead the blood.

  262. Plead the blood over our own lives, Lord God.

  263. We plead the blood over our family's life. We plead the blood over this city,

  264. Lord God, over this area of the Southern Highlands.

  265. Lord, we plead the blood over the state of New South Wales, Lord.

  266. We plead the blood of Jesus over the Commonwealth of Australia.

  267. Especially now, Lord, when we are preparing a new election, a vote,

  268. Lord, for new government, Lord.

  269. We plead the blood of Jesus over that.

  270. And that, Lord, that would be washed clean.

  271. And Lord, as Andrew prayed earlier, that the evil will be uncovered,

  272. by the blood of the Lamb, Lord, and be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb,

  273. and be exposed by the blood of the Lamb.

  274. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and the lives of those we love, Lord God.

  275. And we plead the blood of Jesus over this nation.

  276. We plead the blood of Jesus, Lord. I plead the blood of Jesus over every person here.

  277. Precious blood of Jesus that was spilled for each and every one of us.

  278. I plead that blood over you this morning in Jesus' Name. And I want you to go.

  279. I want you to go. And I want you to believe that and show that and speak about that and live like that.

  280. Live by the power of the blood in your life and overcome, overcome every situation,

  281. over every illness, over every concern.

  282. Plead the blood, plead the blood. So we thank you for the blood, Lord God.

  283. We thank you for your blood, Jesus.

  284. The blood of the Lamb of God, the blood of the Lamb of God that was shed for

  285. us. Lord, we claim that this morning.

  286. Lord, put it on my right ear, put it on my right thumb, put it on my right big toe.

  287. Lord, wash me in your blood. Wash me clean.

  288. Wash me clean by the blood of the Lamb. It has the power to overcome it all,

  289. the blood of the Lamb. And we thank you, Lord.

  290. We thank you for the blessing of the blood in our lives.

  291. Music.
