  1. You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week, we hope you enjoy

  2. this message from Justin Carpenter. So, if y'all remember last week I said

  3. next week was Josh. In the week after that was Brian, I don't

  4. know what week I'm in, apparently, because there's five weeks this month,

  5. next week is Josh. So you all got to put up with me one

  6. more time? Wow, without honor in my own house. Actually I'm excited

  7. about this, so um oh yes, thank you, Sarah. So the

  8. marriage Wednesday night marriage class, there's no class next winter this coming Wednesday night

  9. because Sean and Sarah will be out of town. It will resist the week

  10. after. If your marriage is broke, start coming. If your marriage is

  11. good, you should come get it, get it better, get an upgrade.

  12. The Kendricks have an anointing for either making it or breaking it. So

  13. yeah, that was a joke, people. I have my doctorate's degree and

  14. dad jokes, so you're just gonna have to deal with it. And my

  15. neck did loosen up some after two hours of drumming this morning, so I

  16. may I may be turning a little bit that way, but I'll be all

  17. right. So um. Back in probably twenty eleven, we were living in

  18. Houston, and for all of you that have lived in Houston before, I

  19. just want to say the best part of Houston was actually seeing it in my

  20. rear view mirror with my U haul truck coming back to Kerville. Amen.

  21. And but no, during that time, it was it was a sweet season.

  22. We had just left Denver and we were battling to figure out where we're

  23. supposed to go. And one Saturday morning in my prayer time, the Lord

  24. told me the answer was easy, and he said, let Lisa choose.

  25. This season's not about you. That's what he said very clearly to me.

  26. And being the humble man that I am, I came out of the came

  27. out of the bedroom and I go, Lisa. I got the answer,

  28. and I said, she's like, really, what is it? I said,

  29. you choose. I don't want to choose Ah. The Lord said,

  30. the season's not about me. So we ended up in Houston, and so

  31. I was a stay at home dad for about a year and a half in

  32. Houston, and it was actually one of the sweetest times with the Lord in

  33. my life. Micah was a baby nappened two and a half hours a day.

  34. That's not why I'm crying. It was it was actually it was actually

  35. my time with the Lord. And who yeah, I just got away a

  36. stepping in it not even knowing it. Sometimes you know, and I'm telling

  37. you, it's always this spot right here there. There's just like a little

  38. shoot here or something, and um. But one day I was on my

  39. couch or in my chair spending time with the Lord, and all of a

  40. sudden, the candlestick from the tabernacle appeared in front of me, literally,

  41. and I was not real brave in that moment. I was definitely the fear

  42. of the Lord. And it started to move towards me and kept moving towards

  43. me. By this point, I'm definitely have the fear of the Lord and

  44. the candlestick and parted into my chest. Then the first thing I said was

  45. Jesus, please tell me that was you. And that was good. And

  46. then I was like, okay, well what was that about? I didn't

  47. I mean, I knew what the candlestick was, the seven spirits of God.

  48. You know, you get the service, but what is this invitation about?

  49. And I think because we don't really stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit a

  50. lot of times we miss a lot of invitations from him. We don't slow

  51. down long enough to really get the fullness of the revelation that he wants to

  52. release. And so I was sitting there and asking the Lord, and he

  53. didn't say a whole lot. About two weeks later, I'm at a Texas

  54. Ablaze conference and Keith Miller, for those of you that know who he is.

  55. In Texas Ablaze, Keith had a book on the Seven Spirits of God,

  56. and the Holy Spirit said, this is what that's about. And it

  57. was my invitation to really begin to dive deep on the seven spirits of God.

  58. Now I know y'all are already confused with Father, Son and Holy Spirit,

  59. and all of a sudden, I say, now the Holy Spirit's sevenfold

  60. expression just push, but I want to spit. We're gonna We're going to

  61. build a foundation, and specifically, I'm want to talk about the fear of

  62. the Lord, which is one of the seven spirits. The Church does not

  63. have the fear of the Lord. Most of it does not, and I

  64. think it's brutally, brutally obvious over the last few years with exposures and the

  65. things that are happening, and hopefully by the end of this two and a

  66. half hour teaching, we'll be able to you are listening, we'll be able

  67. to explain the difference between fear, because first John says that he didn't give

  68. us a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind,

  69. versus the fear of the Lord, which the fear of the Lord is

  70. what we need in the church. There'd be a whole lot less, the

  71. Lord says, and we would have purified words if we feared the Lord,

  72. because we would actually stand in the council of the Lord and carry the word

  73. of the Lord a whole lot more consistently, and we would have an awe

  74. and reverence of the Lord when we claim to be speaking on his behalf.

  75. Right. That was good, yep, I'm just talking to my angel.

  76. Thank you, Wanda. We're keeping you in the front rowe. So John

  77. fifteen fourteen says, you are my friends if you do what I command you.

  78. Let me say it again, you are my friends if you do what

  79. I command you. Fear of the Lord or fear God has actually mentioned three

  80. hundred times in scripture. Do you think the subject's important? You think we

  81. need a government that fears God? Oh? I could go someplace with that,

  82. I'll be good. But the Hebrew word is your a. It means

  83. a fear. Fearing the Lord means to be in reverent awe of his holiness,

  84. to give him complete reverence, and to honor him as the God of

  85. great glory, majesty, purity, and power. I was recently, y'all

  86. know who John Bavie is, right, John Bavere's got a book on the

  87. awe of God or the fear of the Lord, And I was watching this

  88. little snippet of him with sid Roth. You know, it's supernatural. I'm

  89. gonna rabbit trail real quick. When I was in Houston, I had an

  90. encounter with an angel and it was a visitation. I was completely out of

  91. my body and the angel looked identical to sid Roth, and that I'm not

  92. kidding now, this is where God broke my religious spirit. And I realized

  93. the Holy Spirit has a sense of humor, because after this encounter was over

  94. and I boom popped up back in my body and looked at the scripture he

  95. gave me and you know, tested the encounter and everything. I was like,

  96. Lord, why in the world did that angel look like sid Roth?

  97. And I kid you not. This is what I heard. It's supernatural,

  98. And I like that broke something in me. Like from a religious standpoint,

  99. I was like, the Lord just made it funny. All right? Now?

  100. Where was I? Oh? John Bavier, and y'all remember Jim Baker,

  101. right, there's two Jim Bakers by the way today. Both of them

  102. are good. The original Jim Baker got restored and he's doing great. But

  103. he went to he went to prison for male fraud and some different things,

  104. and he ended up serving like five years. John Bavier went to him and

  105. was talking with him and had about ninety minutes with him. This was years

  106. ago when he was still locked up, and and he said. John asked

  107. him, he goes, when did you stop loving Jesus? And Jim Baker

  108. said I didn't, And Bavier gets I love Bavier man. He gets fired

  109. up and he's like, no, no, I don't think you're hearing me.

  110. Nineteen eighty three, you committed adulter. I mean, he's blah blah

  111. blah blah blap going off on this thing. He goes, when did you

  112. stop loving Jesus? And he says, John, I never stopped loving Jesus.

  113. He goes I didn't fear him, and it was the issue of the

  114. fear of the Lord. Now again, Jesus said, if you loved me,

  115. you'll obey my commandments. And we live in a church culture today where

  116. easy believism, once saved, always saved. Is you know a lot of

  117. times where you know, I don't want to go off to too far on

  118. that, but people come down, they say a prayer, and not everybody

  119. gets converted because many of them end up trusting in the prayer and not Jesus.

  120. I did the same thing coming up, growing up as Baptist, and

  121. thought I was fine because I'd said a prayer, and then all of a

  122. sudden, years later, the conviction of the Holy Spirit hit me of my

  123. sin and I actually repented and gave my life to Jesus. And I've told

  124. you this before. The sinner's prayer is not in the Bible. Y'all know

  125. that the center. Yet now now all of y'all are like SE's saying,

  126. you don't need to accept Jesus. No, I didn't say that. What

  127. I'm saying is the actual prayer that we do is our custom. Jesus's version

  128. was a little bit different. You're welcome. So Extodus twenty five, you

  129. shall make a lamp stand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of

  130. hammered work. It's base, it stems, its cups, it's callouses or

  131. calloux's. I literally just heard that word and messed it up. And it's

  132. flowers should be one piece with it, and there will be six branches going

  133. out of its sides. Three branches of the lamp stand out of one side

  134. of it, and three branches of lamp stand out of the other side of

  135. it. So you see this single hammered piece of gold with three branches on

  136. each side, seven lights total, which represents the spirit of the seven spirits

  137. of God. The next time I preach in a probably three weeks or so,

  138. I'm going a segue from here into the seven spirits of God. Okay,

  139. so that you should show up. But Exodus twenty five thirty one to

  140. forty is where he goes into detail and he and he keeps repeating this,

  141. and he says, and see that you make them after the pattern for them

  142. which is being shown you on the mountain. So remember Moses, he was

  143. on the mountain, went into the mountain, and then he's being shown all

  144. these different patterns in detail on the tabernacle. Who was with us when John

  145. came and did the Tabernacle conference and went through piece by piece by piece.

  146. Yeah. So Isaiah eleven says, there shall come forth a shoot from the

  147. stump of Jesse, and a branch from its roots shall bear fruit, And

  148. the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and

  149. understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and

  150. the fear of the Lord. There's your seven spirits. Are you with me?

  151. And it says, and his delight shall be in the fear of the

  152. Lord. He shall not judge by his eyes what as I see, or

  153. decide disputes by what his ears here. But with righteousness he shall judge the

  154. poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall

  155. strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of

  156. his lips he shall kill the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of his

  157. waist, and faithfulness the belt of his loins. So this is describing Jesus,

  158. and that the fullness of the seven spirits of God is going to rest

  159. upon him and actually be manifested in his life, and you can see this

  160. sevenfold expression of the Holy Spirit on his life. You, every one of

  161. you are supposed to be manifesting the seventh spirits of God in your life.

  162. Did you know that every one of you should be manifesting the seventh Spirit of

  163. God in your life. If the Holy Spirit is inside of you, that

  164. means the sevenfold expression of Him is inside of you. That means that the

  165. fear of the Lord is actually inside of you. It's interesting. So many

  166. times, No, you cannot have WiFi. So many times in scripture it

  167. shows up if you have an Apple phone of you're wondering, whoever just clicked

  168. I'm watching you said, repeat that right, the seventh spirits one more time

  169. for the slower ones. I'm just playing. It says, there shall come

  170. forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots

  171. shall bear fruit. The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. Think

  172. of the candlestick, the center, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the

  173. spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge, and the fear of

  174. the Lord. Now it's interesting if you actually take Isaiah eleven and the seven

  175. Spirits of God and line it up with Revelation four. With the rainbow,

  176. you actually begin to get real definition and understanding too that God is light,

  177. and you begin to understand what those spirits are read, Wisdom, purple,

  178. fear of the Lord. It has nothing to do with LGBT. It has

  179. everything to do with the seven spirits of God, first and foremost, and

  180. then it has everything to do with His covenant that he made with this earth.

  181. The bow will be in the sky. And I'm telling you Church,

  182. if you're afraid to talk about what I just talked about, you will be

  183. silenced. You'll be in the closet. We need to speak truth and love,

  184. but stop tolerating and have a backbone. You're welcome. Matthew six nine.

  185. Now watch this. Here's the disciples. They're with Jesus right, and

  186. they said, Lord, teach us to pray, teach us to pray.

  187. What does he start out with in the Lord's prayer? Matthew six nine,

  188. pray then like this our father in heaven hollowed be your name. He says,

  189. you want to pray, and you want to pray, right. The

  190. first thing you need to do is actually have the fear of the Lord.

  191. You need to hollow his name. Now, how do you know if you

  192. have the fear of the Lord, Well, if you're in habitual sin,

  193. because all of us fall short, right, And if you say you don't,

  194. I'll talk to your spouse. We all fall short. But the reality

  195. is, if you're in habitual sin and you think the Lord is winking at

  196. that rebellion, you do not have the fear of the Lord. Isaiah thirty

  197. three six says this, and he will be the security and stability of your

  198. himes. Who wants some stability in these crazy times? I mean, y'all,

  199. we're three D printing meat in a lab and selling it like we have

  200. all. I just want real steak, you know what I'm saying. I'm

  201. a ribby guy. I don't want ribby being printed out of a machine.

  202. I want that, all right, the meat of the word and the meat.

  203. You know what I'm saying. It says a treasure of salvation, wisdom,

  204. and knowledge. The fear of the Lord is your treasure. The fear

  205. of the Lord is your treasure. Where your treasure is there, your heart

  206. will be Also. What are you treasure? Because what you treasure, you're

  207. actually going to steward what you treasure. You're actually going to sew into what

  208. you treasure, You're gonna have it grow. So where's your treasure? It

  209. should start there. Proverbs one seven says the fear of the Lord is the

  210. beginning of knowledge. Fools despise wisdom and instruct You know, there's a proverb.

  211. I think it's Proverb twenty nine, which I don't think I put it

  212. in there. I'm now, okay, give me one sec I'm almost positive

  213. it's Proverbs twenty nine one. It says he who has often reproved yet stiffens

  214. his neck will suddenly be broken beyond healing. That is a scripture that should

  215. bring the fear of the Lord in your life. If you think you determine

  216. when you're going to come to the Lord, come close to him, and

  217. when you're not going to be close to him, and you're in control of

  218. this thing, you better watch out, because I'm gonna tell you something.

  219. As God begins to move in more intense ways and pours out his spirit and

  220. we actually get back to everybody's talking about going past the Book of Acts,

  221. I'd love just to get back there first. And when you're there, guess

  222. what the theme of Acts was. It was the fear of the Lord.

  223. People start dropping dead in the midst of a meeting, and I'm pretty sure

  224. the fear of the Lord's going to be there. You lie to the holy

  225. But what happened there, it was the intensity of his presence. What you

  226. got away within the outer court kills you in the Holy of holies. And

  227. so he wants to purify his bride because as he comes closer, his judgment

  228. is swifter because of his glory. Do you catch that? I don't know

  229. if I can repeat that Proverbs two one to six. Then they will call

  230. upon me. I'm sorry, Proverbs one twenty eight to thirty one. Then

  231. they will call upon me, but I will not answer. They will seek

  232. me diligently, but will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did

  233. not choose the fear of the Lord, would have none of my counsel,

  234. despised all of my reproof. Therefore they ate the fruit of their way and

  235. have their fill of their own devices. Remember I always say, if you

  236. don't like your harvest, change your seed. If you sow to the flesh

  237. of the flesh, you reap corruption. If you sow to the spirit of

  238. the spiritual read life. If you're not reaping life, then look at the

  239. siege you're sewing. Says God will not be mocked. Whatever a man sows,

  240. that also showy reap. You want to reap life, then start with

  241. the fear of the Lord, my son, if you received my words and

  242. treasure up my commandments with you, making your ir attentive to wisdom and inclining

  243. your heart to understanding. If you call out for insight and raise your voice

  244. or understanding, if you seek it like silver in search for it is hidden

  245. treasures. You know it's hard to teach when he's on you. Then you'll

  246. understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the

  247. Lord gives wisdom from his mouth. Come knowledge and understanding. Y'all, we've

  248. all fallen short in this area. With the fear of the Lord, we

  249. wouldn't be so full of ourselves that Greek the Greek word crapola. Yeah,

  250. we wouldn't be so full of that if we really had humility and the fear

  251. of the Lord. Thank you. Psalm's thirty four eleven says, come,

  252. old children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the

  253. Lord. The fear of the Lord prolongs life, but the years of the

  254. wicked would be short. Proverbs ten twenty seven says, don't let your heart

  255. envy centners, but continue in the fear of the Lord all day. Better

  256. is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble with

  257. it. Whatever you do to get wealth, you have to maintain that.

  258. Whatever you do to get promotion, you have to maintain that. Whatever you

  259. do in your life to get to where you're going, you must maintain that.

  260. And if you're striving and performing and working out of your flesh, you're

  261. going to have to continue to work out of your flesh to stay in that

  262. place. But the fear of the Lord will bring promotion, because the fear

  263. of the Lord will bring the favor of the Lord. And the favor of

  264. the Lord is way better than your sweat Proverbs fourteen twenty six. And the

  265. fear of the Lord one strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge.

  266. Let me repeat that, in the fear of the Lord, one has

  267. strong confidence, and his children will have refuge. Let me tell you some

  268. of them. I am so thankful. My two boys are not your typical

  269. peak kids. And I take that as a massive blessing, a massive blessing.

  270. We had been careful from the time we went into ministry to not force

  271. stuff on them, to not make them perform certain ways, because we feared

  272. what you thought. We don't. I mean that humbly. I don't fear

  273. you. If I feared you, I wouldn't preach and teach the way I

  274. teach. I would tickle your ears. You know. It's like Todd White

  275. said, I came to cut you. I want to cut you with the

  276. word because it brings healing, it brings restoration, It brings what it brings

  277. transformation, which then you actually have fruit that stays, fruit that remains.

  278. I'm in this thing for the fruit that remains. I don't want spoiled fruit.

  279. And I didn't come into ministry to become a millionaire, that's for sure.

  280. Now watch this Psalms nineteen nine. The fear of the Lord is clean,

  281. enduring forever. The rules of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

  282. What is the fear of the Lord. It is clean. If you have

  283. struggled coming out of sexual abuse or or things that have brought defilement on your

  284. life, the fear of the Lord is clean. The fear of the Lord

  285. brings cleanness. That means that spirit of defilement cannot stay in the presence of

  286. the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of

  287. wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. So what is

  288. how do you get wisdom? Can you have wisdom without the fear of the

  289. Lord? Worldly wisdom? The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life

  290. that one may turn away from the snares of death. Yeah, we're not,

  291. by the way, we're not going through all three hundred fear of the

  292. Lord and fear of God's scripture reverences this morning. But I want to paint

  293. a picture of what the fear of the Lord is because it's rarely talked about

  294. in the Church, and it is absolutely going to be at the forefront as

  295. we get closer to these end days, whether they're one hundred years away,

  296. two hundred years, or whatever it is, when as He gets closer,

  297. we're living in the fulfillment of Joel. Right now, you understand it's not

  298. fulfilled. Joel. I will pour out my spirit on all flesh is being

  299. fulfilled right now. It's not done because if you keep reading, it says,

  300. until he comes, until He returns, that's when it's fulfilled. So

  301. we're living in this dispensation of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all flesh,

  302. nonbelievers and believers. That's why I tell you all the time. Dream

  303. interpretation is one of the best evangelism tools because God's pouring out his spirit on

  304. lost people and they have dreams and they've had visions where God has shown them

  305. what he created them for and all they need. They don't need psychics around

  306. them. They actually need a prophetic company that knows these ways. Are you

  307. with me? I am next year? Dreams and Visions Proverbs in nineteen twenty

  308. three The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests

  309. satisfied he will not be visited by harm. Proverb says that when we're living

  310. right, when we have the fear of the Lord, he makes even our

  311. enemies to be at peace with us. That means if you came out of

  312. a crazy life with lots of chaos and lots of fighting, the moment you

  313. surrender your life and give it to Jesus and have the fear of the Lord,

  314. then what happens all of a sudden, he brings peace into your life.

  315. You begin to taste and see that He really is good, and you

  316. recognize that it's the goodness of God that draws us to repentance. Lord fall

  317. I asked that this morning we would experience the fear of the Lord Jesus,

  318. that we would experience the fear of the Lord this morning, that we would

  319. not leave this place without tasting and getting an upgrade and the awe and reverence

  320. of who you are, your majesty, your power, your glory, your

  321. love. By steadfast love and faithfulness, iniquities atoned for, and by the

  322. fear of the Lord, one turns away from evil. We just had an

  323. altar call earlier, and y'all, y'all were up here, and there's and

  324. everybody's got a different story. There's no telling how long some of you were

  325. battling with things that you're crying out to the Lord to deliver you of.

  326. I want to remind you it's only a battle because your flesh doesn't want to

  327. let go whatever you're battling. You need to understand the deception as you actually

  328. believe it's helping you. There's your agreement so say Jesus, exchange whatever it

  329. is you're battling, it doesn't matter. Give me the fear of the Lord

  330. instead, because that will give you the ability to actually repent and turn away

  331. from evil. The fear of the Lord is love what he loves, and

  332. hate what he hates. He doesn't hate people, he hates sin. And

  333. we only lost one one person here a little while ago from my comment,

  334. so I'm not doing too bad, my heart. More than having a big,

  335. brand new church is that you are big believers, that you're actually champions

  336. of the faith, that you're not going to coward in the days ahead as

  337. it gets turbulent, because make no mistake about it, y'all, turbulent times

  338. are in front of us. There's storms brewing, and storms are coming.

  339. And you can't be a weak, need spineless believer. Is this is time

  340. for David's mighty men of God. And guess what when they first showed up

  341. to David, they didn't look too mighty. All those who were distressed and

  342. bittered and in debt that all surrounded him hallelujah. But look at look at

  343. the description of those men afterwards. I'm gonna tell you right now, without

  344. a shadow of a doubt. If you'd feel called to be here, it's

  345. because God says you're a champion. Because God gave me that scripture with David

  346. and his mighty men years ago, when I was doing intercessory whining about shepherding.

  347. It was like, what are you doing to me? And literally clear

  348. as day he quotes Samuel twenty two two, and I go to it.

  349. I'm like, oh, okay, Lord, that was an encouragement, not

  350. way too quiet, way too quiet. And he charged them, thus you

  351. shall do in the fear of the Lord, in faithfulness with your whole heart.

  352. The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil, pride and arrogance,

  353. the way of evil and perverted speech. I hate Proverbs eight thirteen again Job

  354. twenty eight. And he said, and he said, to man, behold

  355. the fear of the Lord. That is wisdom, and to turn away from

  356. evil is understanding. So without repentance, you actually don't have understanding. Without

  357. the fear of the Lord, you don't have wisdom. And then you can't

  358. say you have understanding if it's not actually applied fruit. There's repentance that takes

  359. place. Does that make sense? The fear of the Lord is the beginning

  360. of wisdom. All those who practice it have a good understanding. Proverbs actually

  361. talks about stupid people. You know how I always joke around. I say,

  362. I talk about a spirit of stupid? Who was it that? Yeah?

  363. She didn't here is he? Well? I was teaching my keys to

  364. the Kingdom course, which is interhaling and deliverance. And and Christia goes,

  365. I have a question in one of the classes. She goes, is there

  366. really a spirit of stupid? Because I had said it so much? Now

  367. there is a spirit of stupor, which you know, it's not too far

  368. a stretch. And before anybody gets arrogant or offended, we've all had moments

  369. where we've come under the influence of the spirit is stupid. See, we're

  370. all in the same boat. I'm doing really good with not doing too many

  371. crazy jokes today. Bid I hadn't offended anybody yet, right, Okay,

  372. Well, there's not more hands up, so I gotta keep going. Oh

  373. I did call you slow, didn't I? Yeah? Haven't you know?

  374. I was joking. You're like, this is my first time here. Moving

  375. on second chronicle seventeen ten, And the fear of the Lord fell upon all

  376. the kingdoms of the lands that were around Judah, and they made no war

  377. against Josah Fat. Do you understand the fear of the Lord was on the

  378. prophet that it was. The fear of the Lord was on the prophets of

  379. old. When prophets in the Old Covenant came to town, the fear of

  380. the Lord was there. They knew it's it's yeah, did you come for

  381. peace or did you come for judgment? And they knew whatever that prophet said,

  382. it would come to pass. I can tell you there's very few prophetic

  383. guys today that I think really carry the fear of the Lord. Hear my

  384. heart. I'm not saying they're not prophets, but like really carry the fear

  385. of the Lord. I know when I met John Paul and I looked into

  386. his eyes and froze up for ten minutes, bent halfway over, crying like

  387. a baby and couldn't move. I was like, I walked away. True

  388. story and Diane I shared it with her, his widow, a few couple

  389. months ago or so at lunch, and she just started busting up Lavin.

  390. But here's what I knew. I knew that he was real. I knew

  391. the encounters that he had talked about that it was legit, that he wasn't

  392. full of fluff, that he wasn't being evangelastic stretching things. And I walked

  393. away all messed up because I said, Lord, I want to carry you

  394. like that. I want to walk into a room and the room shifts because

  395. your presence is on me that heavy, and I know I'm not there yet,

  396. but I desire to walk like that. We should all desire to walk

  397. that way. The presence of God is what changes things. It's not us,

  398. it's not our skill set. He's not impressed with your gift. He

  399. gave it to you. Some of y'all need to hear that, because I've

  400. met some people they think they're really special because they were given a gift from

  401. God, as if somehow He's like, Wow, that's impressive. I can't

  402. believe that. Where did that come from? Therefore, knowing the fear of

  403. the Lord, we persuade others. But what we are is known to God,

  404. and I hope it is known also to your conscience. Secondchrithians five eleven.

  405. Now, then let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be

  406. careful what you do, for there's no injustice with the Lord, our God,

  407. our partiality, or taking bribes second Chronicles nineteen seven. I want to

  408. encourage y'all. You know, we we look at the political atmosphere today and

  409. we and we see just the corruption and politics, and it's on both sides.

  410. Don't think it's not. It is absolutely on both sides. And we

  411. look at the bribes, and y'all, y'all realize, three days ago California

  412. shot down a bill to make child trafficking a felony, a greater felony with

  413. a greater penalty. They shot it down. They said no. And the

  414. last days you will call evil good and good evil. This is the garbage

  415. that we're up against. And make no mistake, you're not fighting and gets

  416. flesh and blood. You're dealing with a divine counsel. You're dealing with fallen

  417. ones in that council. You're dealing with fallen principalities and powers, rulers,

  418. dominions and thrones. You're you're dealing with all of this crazy battle. We

  419. have to stand up as the church and protect these children. We know guys

  420. personally that rescue kids out of trafficking, and one guy that we're friends with

  421. said you have twenty four hours on average, right, and then they're slamming

  422. sound of freedom. They're trying to rolling stop. I made the post rolling

  423. stones. The media is nothing but a propaganda machine. If you think you're

  424. getting truth through the media, you might as well go talk to Satan.

  425. And don't think Fox News hadn't jacked up too. That was free All right?

  426. Sorry, I'm done. Proverbs twenty two four. The reward for humility

  427. and the fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. Remember the

  428. disciples, they're in front of Jesus, they're complaining, They're going, Lord,

  429. we gave up houses, we gave up mothers and children, and we

  430. gave up all these things. And you know, Peter, Peter should give

  431. all of us hope. I love Peter has no filter. I kind of

  432. relate sometimes with that. And he's like, Lord, what about us?

  433. He says, what about us? And he says, you'll have all of

  434. these things in this life and the life to come with persecutions. I have

  435. a question for you, what if because we don't have the fear of the

  436. Lord in our life, the way we need to the glory of the Lord

  437. is not resting on your life to the degree that actually demands persecution, so

  438. hence there's not much persecution. You want to grow an authority, growing the

  439. fear of the Lord, get closer to him, because that's what increases authority.

  440. I want to walk into a room and there's not a demon safe in

  441. that room. They're scared to death because of the authority I'm walking in now.

  442. I get growled at from time to time, like whatever, weird things

  443. happen often. But think about this, y'all, it's upgrade time. It

  444. is upgrade time. Um. When John Thomas was here, one of the

  445. things he prophesied over Leasa some years ago was that she would help bring Cross

  446. Kingdom into the Promised Land. And Lisa, the Lord just brought that word

  447. back up to her as we were sitting on the twenty five acres praying,

  448. because that that is our promised land and we and she had no grid for

  449. that at the time. And that's y'all have to understand. When you get

  450. a prophetic or you may not have any grid for it. The first time

  451. I had got a prophetic word that I would plan a church, I was

  452. like, that, ain't Jesus. And for six years. I was like

  453. that, ain't Jesus? Then my flesh died number six, so I'm thirty

  454. four nine. Oh, fear the Lord. You his saints, for those

  455. who fear Him have no lack. Isn't it interesting how provision finances prosperity tied

  456. to the fear of the Lord. If you don't give, you don't fear

  457. God. If you don't give, you don't fear God, because that's part

  458. of it. You don't have a lifestyle of generosity in him. And you

  459. give when he says give, you don't fear God. You're eating your seed

  460. and you wonder why you're broke. And that's not the old Jim Baker prosperity

  461. stuff. Just to make that clear, it's the Bible. The Angel of

  462. the Lord encamps around those who fear him and delivers them. Serve the Lord

  463. with fear and rejoice with trembling. What's it saying. It says, work

  464. out your salvation with fear and trembling. It's not an unhealthy fear. It's

  465. not a fear of punishment, because perfect love drives out all fear, for

  466. fear has to do with punishment or torment. God's not into tormenting us.

  467. He wants us to step into this play in place of awe and reverence and

  468. be overwhelmed and consumed by his awesomeness. That is the fear of the Lord,

  469. and that is a much greater motivator than fear. Did you know he

  470. didn't He didn't save you with fear of death. It says, it's his

  471. goodness Now I know, Jude says, by some snatching them out if if

  472. need be. But fear is not his preference. It's coming into a place

  473. where you get totally done by his love and his goodness. And you realized

  474. he never stopped pursuing you when when you were all screwed up, while you

  475. were yet sinners, Christ died for you. There we go freedom and come

  476. out. Um. But then but then think about this, So it's the

  477. goodness of God that drew you to repentance. What should really blow your mind

  478. is the fact that his love never changed even after you came to know him,

  479. because all of a sudden you actually became aware of how jacked up you

  480. were and how far away you were from completion of truly looking like Jesus.

  481. And He's like, though your sin be a scarlet, who I'm almost done

  482. Psal fourteen. The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him.

  483. Jesus said, I no longer call you servants, but I call you friends.

  484. And he makes known to them his covenant who wants an upgrade in the

  485. revelation of the new Covenant that we're in with Jesus. But you shall fear

  486. the Lord, your God, and he will deliver you out of the hand

  487. of all your enemies. I love this one, Isaiah eight thirteen. But

  488. the Lord of hosts him. You show honor as holy. Let him be

  489. your fear, and let him be your dread. I think it's Bobby Connor

  490. that wrote a book Dread Champions. Yeah, real champions have the fear of

  491. the Lord. Champions warriors of the Lord. They fear the Lord. Remember

  492. the arc and it was it um you're Riah reached out his arm Uza.

  493. Yeah, it'll lose Audie here in a second, and so he grabs it.

  494. He gets struck dead, and it says that David feared the Lord that

  495. day. Remember, He's like, what in the world? And they he

  496. sends the ark off to obed Edam. What happens the moment the ark,

  497. the presence of the Lord shows up there. They begin to prosper people.

  498. It is not spiritual to be broke. Last Monday, I'm gonna land it.

  499. Last Monday, I was at the office because I had a filing cabinet

  500. I had to put together. It was being delivered and I was there and

  501. I went to the mailbox to check the mail and I look across the street.

  502. You know, our offices are up there by the co America, and

  503. there's this lady. Strangest thing in the world. There was this lady at

  504. the end of the parking lot at the bank. No one goes to that

  505. bank, like, like hardly anybody goes to that bank. And this lady

  506. standing there with a cardboard sign just like this and a sun hat, not

  507. moving an inch. I mean, she doesn't move. She's like a statue.

  508. And I get hit with this un I mean, I was like,

  509. man, there's something. I looked up because I felt the demonic and I

  510. looked over there. She's frozen, locked in on me, and I can't

  511. I can't see what the sign says. And I walk all the way up

  512. to the doors. I'm looking across the field. Never moves. I get

  513. inside all of our glass and doors or you can't see inside it's mirrored.

  514. And I'm looking at this and I'm like, and somebody drives by, they

  515. pay no attention. I'm like, they see her, right Lord, And

  516. so it hit my heart and I said, I asked that you would remove

  517. the spirit of poverty and the gypsy spirit out of here now in Jesus name.

  518. But it's interesting that spirit of poverty was standing right there at the bank

  519. and I literally walked away for two seconds to check for creamer for my coffee

  520. because you know, I have coffee, and I literally come back and she

  521. never had time to leave that I would have saw. I mean, it

  522. wasn't long enough, and she was gone. And when we had our restaurant

  523. in Ingram, we were in an owner's meeting and that same spirit actually came

  524. into the restaurant, the spirit of poverty, and walked right by us.

  525. Chay, where's Chay, She's not here this morning? Chay felt it,

  526. and that thing walked so close to me. I lit up in the hair

  527. would up on my neck. And you're not battling flesh and blood, y'all,

  528. and you're not just fighting for you don't be like Hezekiah and says,

  529. oh, well, at least we'll have peace in our day, and forget

  530. about your children. We're here to leave a legacy. This isn't just about

  531. today. This is about leaving a spiritual legacy and inheritance for your children.

  532. Okay, I'm landing right now Philippians two twelve to thirteen, last scripture.

  533. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not

  534. only as in my presence, but much more in my absence, work out

  535. your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in

  536. you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. When you

  537. say, oh, I can't do this, I don't have the ability,

  538. You're right. You have the right to remain dead. You know what the

  539. hardest thing is to real we don't have a right, and that is probably

  540. one of the slowest things to die inside of me my rights. Everybody's looking

  541. at least going uh huh. I yeah. I had a moment a couple

  542. of days ago because I'm learning to die on a new level, and I

  543. yelled at my brother and ex sister in law because they were in my house

  544. when I came home and It triggered me just telling how myself, because guess

  545. what If I keep everything into the light, then he has nothing on me.

  546. And I don't care if you look less at me, because Jesus made

  547. himself of no reputation, so I have no business having one. So I

  548. literally had to repent, and I heard my mother in law pop up.

  549. I didn't even see her in the den, MEMI where you at? There's

  550. in the back ed. I literally had text MEMI, please forgive me.

  551. I didn't know you're in there, texts my ex sister in law, Please

  552. forgive me. That was wrong. I just feel like I don't have enough

  553. of my own time and space at times. I texted my brother who's over

  554. there in the other corner and h and asked him to forgive me. So

  555. I see, we all have a spirit of stupid that comes on you every

  556. once in a while. But thank God, they forgave me. Right,

  557. I mean the half too. If they want to live, they don't have

  558. a choice. If you gotta and if I offend you, guess what you

  559. gotta forgive me too, because it says if you don't forgive, you're not

  560. forgiven. So I tell people only forgive to the degree you want to be

  561. forgiven. It's that easy, all right. The prayer team will come up

  562. Wayne, if I can get you on the keys, bring me a beat.

  563. You got to meet Pa, so we don't have it. Ike's got

  564. something super inspired. He wants to share real quick. Can you hear me?

  565. Can you hear me? Okay, real quick? Okay. So about

  566. twenty something years ago, my wife and I were down in South Texas and

  567. I was in a meeting with a pastor and there was a woman in the

  568. church that was in sin. She was living with this guy. Everybody,

  569. I mean, the whole community knew she was in the church, but everybody

  570. knew what she was doing, and so she was living with this guy,

  571. and I mean, it was a it was a big issue. And I

  572. will tell you her name because you can look this up on the internet and

  573. it's not going to make a difference. She's in the state penitentiary now.

  574. But let me tell you. We called her in and we talked to her

  575. and we said, look, Sheila, you can't do this. This is

  576. ungodly and God will not tolerate this stuff. She had no fear of God,

  577. none whatsoever. And the pastor literally asked her, when all this goes

  578. to hell, what are you going to do about it? And she said,

  579. I'll take care of it. I'll do it. I can do it.

  580. And he said, you don't understand. God will not tolerate this kind

  581. of behavior. You can't do this. What are you going to do?

  582. She said, don't worry about it. I'll take care of it. She

  583. walked out of the office. That was I want to say, on a

  584. Wednesday or a Thursday, anyway, on Monday morning, she didn't show up

  585. to work. Her son mysteriously. They never could tell what had gone on.

  586. Her son mysteriously died. He was eighteen, seventeen, eighteen years old.

  587. Okay, so then and it was like wow, this was I mean,

  588. that brought fear into every heart in the church because the church was literally

  589. praying for her as a whole. Then she got involved with two guys in

  590. the community, ended up beating an old woman, an elderly woman, and

  591. literally she was caught and now she's in the state penitentiary. You don't fool

  592. And I know everybody talks about grace, grace, grace, and you know,

  593. God, God will allow, God will allow, Yes, God will

  594. allow. But I will tell you this. Okay, don't play games with

  595. God knowingly, you'd had better fear the Lord. So fear is a very

  596. real thing of who God is because the power of God is a mighty thing.

  597. Yeah, stop sinning. Um oh, Jonathan, can you turn his

  598. keyboard on? Sir? Does anyone have the iPad? Will you turn the

  599. keyboard on? The back? I think I guess Jonathan left. He got

  600. tired of running sound, he's out of here. Maybe I offended two people

  601. today, So I want to do something because earlier, before they did the

  602. altar call, I really felt like there was an anointing specifically for deliverance.

  603. There are some things you have to die to right that means you they're they're

  604. there. There's passions of the flesh that you just simply need to crucify.

  605. There's things that you need your soul healed from, which is inner healing.

  606. But then there's things that you actually need delivered from because you have a demon

  607. on you. And I specifically felt during worship that there thank you buy that

  608. there was a grace for deliverance. And the problem is when you have familiar

  609. spirits, you think it's you you're dealing with. When you're not. You

  610. think it's your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions, and it's actually

  611. spirits that have worked their way into your personality since you were little. They're

  612. called ancestral demons. And I really do believe that as we ask the Lord

  613. for an impartation of the fear of the Lord, that deliverance is going to

  614. come. And so I just want to encourage you as Wayne's playing the piano.

  615. And here's how you know the difference between your flesh and a spirit.

  616. It's the magnification of that motion, you understand me. So when you have

  617. fits of anger or rage come over you and you literally feel like you're trapped

  618. inside of your body, that's because that's a spirit of anger and rage you're

  619. dealing with. It's not just you. If you get overwhelmed with lust and

  620. you feel like there's no way out and you have no control over it,

  621. that's because you've been given over to a sexual spirit and you need deliverance of

  622. it. When you have extreme, crazy amounts of fear or panic attacks,

  623. you're dealing with a spirit. Because God did not give you a spirit of

  624. fear, and we don't rest soul against flesh and blood. That means that

  625. there's contact with the unseen realm, whether you recognize it or not, and

  626. you end up partnering with them through deception because you believe they're actually helping you

  627. and they're empowering you. And I really believe the Lord wants to break some

  628. things as we finish, so I just want to encourage you all to come

  629. forward as finish up. We got prayer teams here and and get some freedom.

  630. So Father, I just asked, right now, Lord, thank you

  631. for listening. For more messages and other resources, please subscribe to this podcast.
