Passing The Test

You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week, we hope you enjoy
-
this message from Justin Carpenter. But I really felt led by the Lord to
-
talk about passing the test this morning because many of you are being tested right
-
now, and I know you're being tested in ways that you've never been tested
-
before, and some of you may be wondering, what in the world is
-
going on? Why am I being tested in the way that I'm being tested.
-
Interestingly enough, as I was praying through different subjects and asking the Lord
-
what to talk about, I realized it was exactly two years ago the last
-
time I talked about this. Now, isn't that interesting? Now we find
-
ourselves in a transition. When the Lord told me two years ago, yes,
-
this will happen, but it's going to be hard, I was just
-
like, you know, when the Lord says it's gonna be hard, I'm
-
thinking you should put your crash helmet on in a seat belt. And but
-
I want to talk to you this morning about testing. Why you're tested,
-
and you're tested for promotion. You're You're God. God is never testing you
-
for your demotion. How you handle testing and transitions in your life will absolutely
-
determine whether or not you get promoted. You don't fail in the kingdom,
-
You just you just get to go around the mountain again, anybody want to
-
go around some of the mountains that you've already been around a couple of times.
-
That was the biggest response. Yet neither do I, right, And
-
so it's it's yeah, I mean I the last few months have been just
-
if you haven't noticed, things have just turbulence, like the marriages. And
-
I mean every time I turn around there's you know, somebody's gotten sick or
-
their marriage is in trouble. And I have I've had to be very conscious
-
in recent months to not carry other people's lives. And you fully understand this
-
if you're a burden bearer or you do prayer, ministry and right, it's
-
way too easy to take on false responsibility for people's lives because deep down inside
-
you somehow think just maybe you're in control, if you're responsible for them,
-
maybe you're in control. And we say, logically, oh no, that's
-
not the case. But you're full of crap. Sometimes when you say that
-
we all are that's Greek for crapola James one two to four, count it
-
all joy Oh, that was really slick, wasn't it? Never mind?
-
I apologize family. Count it all, joy, my brothers. When you
-
meet trials of various kinds, For you know that the testing of your faith
-
produces steadfastness, and let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be
-
perfect and complete, lacking and nothing. Count it all, joy, my
-
brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, For you know that the
-
testing of your faith produces steadfastness, And some translations actually say patience and let
-
steadfastness have its full effect, so that you may be perfect and complete,
-
lacking in nothing. So when you're being tested, the issue is God is
-
viewing your relationship with him more valuable than gold. He's viewing your relationship with
-
him more precious than anything. Heaven went bankrupt so that you could actually have
-
a relationship with him. And when we back out of the testing, when
-
we refuse to allow the pruning process in our lives to continue, we're short
-
circuiting our relationship with him. We are guaranteeing that we're not going to be
-
promoted, and we're guaranteeing that we're going to continue to go around the mountain.
-
Has anybody ever figured out just because you might be sixty years of age
-
literally that that doesn't mean you're not two years old spiritually. Spiritual age and
-
spiritual maturity doesn't it does not necessarily equate to literal age. Timothy was told
-
to set the elders up by Paul, and Timothy was young. The Disciples
-
were super young, y'all when they turned the world upside down. Paul had
-
to encourage Timothy, don't let anyone look down on you because of your youth.
-
But one thing that will guarantee that we don't progress forward spiritually speaking,
-
even though we have a physical birthday, as if we buckle under the pressure.
-
Are you with me? Because what happens is when we're being tested for
-
promotion, the enemy is right there tempting you with a shortcut. He knows
-
exactly what the Father's trying to do with you in that moment. We see
-
this clearly in the wilderness with Jesus. He's in the wilderness. He had
-
nothing to eat for forty days and forty nights. More than likely he had
-
nothing to drink as well. It doesn't say that specifically, but we can
-
assume that Moses did that, and the Father kept Moses for two forty day
-
stints and a seven day stint, and I'm like that dude had eighty some
-
days without eating or drinking water. And in that process where Jesus was at
-
his weakest is when Satan himself came to him and said, if you are
-
the son of God, what did he do? The first thing he did
-
was attack his identity, and then he was like, well, that's the
-
case. Do this, you don't think Jesus and that we have to understand
-
he was not faking his humanity when he became a man. It was not
-
fake. He was one hundred percent human, and he limited his deity while
-
operating as a man. Now, what I did not just say was that
-
he ceased to have deity. I said he limited it. Okay, I
-
don't want emails of misunderstandings. One hundred percent God, one hundred percent man.
-
But he emptied himself in limited himself while on earth. Why so he
-
showed us the perfect example of the life that we can have in him with
-
the Father. He said, the things I do, you'll do. If
-
he did all of those things in his deity and not in his humanity,
-
he never could have said that to you because You're not God. There's nothing
-
about you that's God. I don't care what new agers say. That's the
-
lie from the garden. And you'll never be God. You have been a
-
partaker of his divine nature when you accepted him. But he made it possible.
-
He shows us the life that's possible. So think about this, Jesus
-
not faking his humanity. Literally, anybody'd done a forty day water fast,
-
only anybody one? Anybody else? Yeah, I would need an angelic visitation
-
to tell me to go forty days before. I've done a ton of fasting
-
in my life. And I don't say that, but yeah, no,
-
who bless you? But imagine your forty days in the wilderness and Satan himself
-
is coming to you. You know that you're gonna die the most gruesome death.
-
You're gonna be beaten beyond recognition as a human being. You're gonna be
-
spit on, mocked. Every demon in Hell is gonna be right in front
-
of you, going after you. Because remember it says in that moment they
-
didn't realize he was the Lord of Glory. Had they known, they never
-
wrote to crucify the Lord of Glory, so they thought they were just gonna
-
checkmate this thing and keep him from being a king. And in that moment,
-
with all of this going down and all of this happening, Jesus knows
-
why he was born. He knows what he can. He said, the
-
Son of Man didn't come to be served, but to serve and offer his
-
life as a ransom for many. So he knew from day one what was
-
going on. And then here's Satan saying, hey, if you're all it
-
literally says that that Satan showed him all the kingdoms of the earth in a
-
moment of time, which is a false vision. That's why you got to
-
test your visions, because not every vision you have is from Holy Spirit.
-
And he showed them all these kingdoms, and he says, look, I
-
will give you all of these kingdoms and the authority over them if you just
-
bow down and worship me. Now was he lying not fully? That's that's
-
the deception. Satan had the keys to death, hell and the grave.
-
He had authority over the earth because we gave it up to him in the
-
garden. So part of what he said wasn't a lie. But he knew
-
if he took the bait, we're done. He didn't fully know. But
-
if he would have, if he would have, if he would have buckered,
-
buckered, it's always that spot. If he would have buckled to the
-
pressure, y'all, there's no other name. What are you saying about it?
-
There's no other name. He was in such agony in the garden,
-
he was literally sweating blood. And I'm not a doctor, but I know
-
that that's not good to the degree of your test. It's actually prophesying to
-
the potential of your promotion. And if you allow the pressure of the testing
-
or the temptation of your flesh to be a shortcut, then don't blame God
-
that that prophetic word didn't come true over your life. Look in the mirror.
-
You're not a victim. Take responsibility, for if you so to the
-
flesh of the flesh, you'll reap corruption. If you so to the spirit
-
of the spirit, you'll reap life. Y'all with me, okay. The
-
Hebrew word for testing means to smelt, refine test, Yeah, like a
-
goldsmith. That means you literally are being burned by the fire of God.
-
Anybody ever feel the fire of God. You're literally being melted in the midst
-
of your faith. It's not to hurt you. The Lord only gives good
-
gifts. One of the things that the enemy has been a master at is
-
that John ten ten, the enemy came to steal, kill, destroyer.
-
But I've come to give life and give it more abundantly. One of the
-
things the enemy has successfully done with us is he comes into our lives,
-
he steals, he kills, he destroys. It happens through agreement, through
-
deception, and then he gets us to shift the blame onto God, as
-
if he had anything to do with it. In Genesis twenty two to one,
-
after these things, God tested Abraham and said to him, Abraham,
-
and he said, here, I am. We've talked about this before.
-
Imagine Abraham's journey. He had Ishmael, right which right now we're seeing the
-
fruit of Isaac and Ishmael as we speak in this very moment of day twenty
-
three in the Gaza, and he's there, and he's convinced for thirteen years
-
that by having being given to him, that that fulfilled the word. Y'all,
-
every one of you will be tempted to give into Ishmael with your calling.
-
It's a prophetic picture, because it's the easy way you with a little
-
Jesus sprinkle thirteen years, which the number thirteen biblically prophetically is rebellion. So
-
after the fullness of thirteen years with Abraham, guess what happens? God finally
-
speaks to him. No, we don't have a single recorded word of the
-
Lord to Abraham for that thirteen year stretch because of his decision. See we
-
wink at sin, we say, oh, it's okay, it's all under
-
the blood, it's all done. When I said yes, really, then
-
why is First John there that's written to believers, not non believers. If
-
you sin, he's what faithful and just to forgive you of your sin and
-
to cling you from all unrighteousness. For I've written these things under you that
-
know the Son of God. This is First John, and Abraham is there.
-
Finally God's promise shows up Isaac, and he says, sacrifice them.
-
Now I'm pausing because too many times we talk about this stuff, and we
-
talk about biblical history, and somehow we kind of think sometimes it's just like
-
a fairy tale or you know, just a good, you know, Bible
-
picture story to talk about. But this was reality. Dad's imagine getting that
-
word and Abraham didn't falter. Abraham said, we're gonna go worship the Lord
-
and he'll provide the sacrifice. But there's a prophetic picture in this when you
-
realize you've been holding on to Ishmael and you get Isaac. You got to
-
lay Isaac on the altar and you got to take your hands off of it,
-
and you got to leave Isaac with the Lord. You got to trust
-
the Lord that he knows what to do with Isaac. Even if it looks
-
like Isaac dies, Isaac is resurrected because of the Lord. And in that
-
moment, that's the dark Knight of the Spirit. There's the dark Knight of
-
the soul and the dark Knight of the Spirit, and the dark Knight of
-
the Spirit is where you've done everything that you can in a righteous way,
-
and either God shows up or he doesn't, but you are a full surrendered
-
no matter what comes in front of you, and you're fully trusting and committed
-
to the Lord Jesus, and ultimately we become bond servants of Jesus. Ultimately
-
we embrace the cross and we don't just we don't get uncomfortable anymore because we
-
realize without the Cross, there is no life and every part of our lives
-
that we don't embrace the splinters of that cross is a part of our life
-
that we lose. It's a part of the abundant life that he died for
-
that he longs to give us, that we forfeit when we say I'll take
-
Ishmael. The testings just getting started, the testing for the Body of Christ
-
and America is just getting started. And if you take the shortcut now,
-
you won't even have a chance of standing five years from now. But what
-
keeps you embracing that cross, Which keeps you embracing the testing of the Lord
-
isn't a bunch of rules and regulations. It's not fear. It's the awe
-
of God. It's the fear of the Lord. It is the intimacy with
-
him. It is what the disciples confessed and said, Lord, where will
-
we go? Because you are the only one with the words of life.
-
We are in a culture war right now in this nation. We just had
-
professing Christians dressed as drag queens at the devil Wards a week ago. Anybody
-
know that the devil Wards? Oh yes, this is the culture parents that
-
trying to fight against with raising your children in the ways of the Lord.
-
Will you buckle to the fear of man? Will you buckle and compromise and
-
say, oh well, it's not that bad. Listen. It is clear
-
about sexual immorality and perversion in these lifestyles that they don't inherit eternal life.
-
But that's not it. No drunkard, no liar, no coward. Listen.
-
If we want to see revival come, and we want to see revival
-
sustained, we cannot divorce word and spirit. You better be just as strong
-
in the written word of God and know his word and hide it in your
-
heart that you will not sin against Him as you are for a dream or
-
a vision or an angelic visitation. And if you don't know that written word
-
and you have these spiritual encounters, you will be deceived. And if all
-
you do is produce are seek after spiritual encounters, you will absolutely shipwreck your
-
faith. You need to focus on Jesus, get close to him, and
-
supernatural things will happen. But we don't get to choose what happens. All
-
we do is say, Lord, I'm all in and I want to know
-
you, no matter what the cost is. And it's time that we say
-
we're all in it's time, we say Jesus, no matter what comes our
-
way, no matter what comes out of those gates of Hell, they cannot
-
prevail. We are standing in line, in agreement, in unity. We
-
are one body, and we're gonna charge Hell, and we're gonna plunder Hell,
-
and we're gonna take this the treasures out of darkness. And if it
-
means we get, you know, we lose social media sites, then so
-
be it. But I would rather stand before the God of the universe and
-
know that I've fulfilled my assignment and I spoke the truth and love than to
-
make a bunch of people feel good about themselves and then watch them go into
-
a lake of fire. Terry Bennett says that the playground of Satan is attached
-
to the School of Christ. See, Satan thinks he's just, you know,
-
he's just. He doesn't know that God's actually using his attacks against him
-
every time. Do you understand every time you are attacked, if the opposite
-
wasn't true, why would the attack hurt? There would be nothing there for
-
him to steal. If so, whatever he's trying to steal, guess what
-
the opposite is true? When you are feeling rejection, and you're feeling this
-
overwhelming feel of rejection. It's because he's lying to you about your identity that
-
you have the spirit of adoption and you cry out, Papa. But if
-
you focus on him, you just made room for him. That's why it
-
says take every thought captive, which means you go on that thought out.
-
I'm taking this thought right here that says I'm a son of God. I'm
-
a son of light. I'm the light and salt of the earth. I've
-
been called to reconcile the earth back to Jesus. I mean, you can
-
go on and on and on about your identity and what He's called you to
-
do. That's what you're supposed to think on. Philippians four to eight tells
-
us what to meditate on. Don't let the enemy rent space in your mind
-
before you bite the dust. Every single thing you do, guess what,
-
It starts with a thought. And you're not in charge of your thoughts that
-
come into your mind, but you are responsible for every single thought you choose
-
to let stay in there and you focus on You've been given the mind of
-
Christ, the helmet of salvation. When I get back on that series again,
-
the helmet of salvation is there. Whatever goes past the shield of faith,
-
maybe you got a crack in your faith. Guess what you have the
-
helmet of salvation. You have the mind of Christ that's protected. And so
-
any thought that comes into your mind, that's not the mind of Christ,
-
that's not the Lord. Are you with me? Hezekiah was tested and failed.
-
In fact, Hezekiah was unaware of the testing completely. When he was
-
given an extended fifteen years of his life, guess what happened. He puffed
-
up with pride and he showed the king everything of his kingdom. The prophet
-
comes to him and says, what did you show him? Oh? I
-
showed him everything. The Prophet's like, oh, And Hezekiah totally threw out
-
the focus of legacy and his children and his children's children, and he said,
-
well, at least they'll be peace in my day. So in the
-
midst of your battle, in the midst of you wanting to quit and throw
-
in the towel because things get tough, because you know, fill in the
-
blank, whatever you're dealing with right now, you're not just fighting for yourself.
-
You're fighting for a bloodline. And love is not self seeking. Listen,
-
I never stepped into shepherding to build a megachurch. I stepped in out
-
of obedience, and I want to see people become exactly what Jesus paid for.
-
That's my heart. And when I see the only thing I've told the
-
Lord is Lord, I want the fruit to match the battle. Lord.
-
If I've got big battles, then i want big fruit. That's what I
-
want. But I can tell you you do not become a champion of the
-
faith without big battles. You do not become a champion without facing your fears
-
on the battle line. Your promotion is going to come when you're facing your
-
biggest giant. There's a promised land that we've been given in kirk County,
-
and there's giants in the land, but the grapes are worth it. That's
-
exactly what an angel told John Paul Jackson in Scotland when he was facing problem
-
after problem. When he was over there doing ministry, two cylinders of lights
-
appeared two angels and spoke and said, there's giants in the land, but
-
the grapes are worth it. And then they go to some Irish prophet dude's
-
house that was really weird, and he goes, yeah, the Lord talk
-
to me while sitting in me tub about you too. And he's like,
-
oh, did the Lord do that? And he goes, yes, he
-
did. He says he'd go about the world prophesying to people. And he
-
goes and that was pretty good. Huh. And again, oh, I
-
don't want to there's annoying there or something, and and he's and he's talking
-
to John Paul and John Paul's like, yeah, whatever, and and he
-
says a couple of things, and he goes and the Lord told me you'd
-
be stubborn. He goes, I am not stubborn. He goes, just
-
listen to you, and uh, he goes, Yeah, he told me
-
you'd be falsely humble. And so he's telling him all this and John Paul
-
in his younger days, he'll burn a hole through you with his eagle eyes
-
and know everything about your life. The dude was whoo. And so he
-
goes, but the Lord said this, after I tell you this, you'll
-
never question whether I hear from the Lord or not. And he goes,
-
there's giants in the land, but the grapes are worth it. And John
-
Paul was like, oh, my land, you do hear from the Lord,
-
Because he literally the day before had an angelic visitation with those two angels.
-
Did he have a clue? Listen, y'all, if you want to
-
encounter God, get on your path that he's called you to, because if
-
you look through the scriptures, people weren't having encounters because they just, Oh,
-
sign me up for a dream, Lord, Oh tomorrow, I'll take
-
a vision. Oh I'll take a prophetic word. No, it's in moments
-
when they're facing their giants. They feel like their highnees being handed to them
-
and they need to be strengthened by the Lord. And the Lord says,
-
that is my son. I'm releasing my angels to strengthen him so he will
-
fulfill the very purpose that I created him for. That's why these things happen.
-
And when we're in moments of weakness, his strength is made perfect.
-
When we're going, Lord, what is going on? Are you even with
-
me? All of a sudden, in his mercy, something supernatural happens.
-
Lord, did we really see the glory of the glory, weighty glory in
-
front of the porch? And then, all of a sudden, a week
-
later, a literal, tangible cloud appears in our yard at night radiating light
-
and expands and then disappears. As we're talking about Thanksgiving, because talked when
-
you were thankful. It focuses on the majestic of God, how majestic he
-
is, and we magnify his name with thanksgiving. The Psalm says, sorry
-
about the Greek the Greek word earlier forgot it was family, Please forgive me
-
all. Thank you. One of the kids did praise the Lord. We'll
-
keep you around for sure. The wilderness is always a time of testing.
-
Therefore, Hebrews three seven and eight. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says
-
today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in
-
the rebellion on the day of testing in the wilderness. He brought them into
-
the wilderness for intimacy. But what was in them came out? Y'all?
-
We want John fifteen. We want the fruit that remains on the vine.
-
So guess what this is? How this works? In case you haven't figured
-
it out yet, You cry out to the Lord, You tell him you
-
want to fulfill your purpose that he created you for. And then things get
-
hard. Yeah, Lord, what do you call me to? What's going
-
on? And all of a sudden you're just feeling hit all over the place.
-
The word of the Lord is purging you. When you get a prophetic
-
word, it's not guaranteed. It's an invitation to become something, to have
-
an upgrade of intimacy with him. It's not to flaunt to everybody else.
-
Look how spiritual I am. I'm an intergalactic international apostolic prophet. Can you
-
not tell servanthood leadership? If Jesus made himself of no reputation, then why
-
are you trying to have one? Are you trying to build a reputation?
-
Because he loves crushing idols. We want to be like new wine that can
-
be poured into any vessel he chooses, and we say, you are Lord,
-
your will not mine. And sometimes some of the hardest some of the
-
some of the hardest moments is when injustice comes into your life and you and
-
you are chomping at the bit to vindicate yourself. But guess what Jesus did.
-
He didn't respond back, he didn't open his mouth, he didn't take
-
the bait of Satan. He chose to have no reputation because he wanted the
-
Father to be glorified in his life. Now I know every one of us
-
have blown that in our lives. I know, as a prophetic minister,
-
I cannot stand in justice. And guess what I've had so much thinking and
-
justice happened to me since I was a little kid. Like the opposite,
-
right, Guess what I was renamed by my aunt. My name on the
-
birth certificate was Matthew, and my aunt was like, no one's naming.
-
I don't know why, but she didn't like to name Matthew. No offense
-
to Matthew Faust. If you're online watching, I love your name. Almost
-
got your name, but justin means justice. So many times your identity in
-
your name. Jesus renamed people. Why because he put their destiny in their
-
name? Y'all. Even Jesus learned obedience by the things he suffered Hebrews two
-
eighteen, For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to
-
help those who are being tempted. And Hebrews five eight although he was a
-
son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. The body of Christ in
-
the American Church better get a doctrine for the sufferings of Christ. And it
-
comes with a promise that the glory the spirit of glory rests on those when
-
they're experiencing the sufferings of Christ. See, we want all the we want
-
all the accolades, we want all the encounters, but we don't want the
-
suffering to go with it. And yet Paul said, I'm filling up in
-
my body the suffering. What's lacking. I'm filling up the sufferings of Christ
-
in my physical body. What's lacking in the church. He talks about the
-
joy of the Lord in prison and a pit. It wasn't like our prisons
-
where there's colored TVs and three square meals a day, and just like a
-
whole other city inside of a building. He was in a pit. The
-
Disciples and Acts. Y'all understand something about the Book of Acts, because there's
-
always this big, huge fight over in the church. There's always this division
-
of well, people don't like corporate gatherings or they only want home gatherings,
-
and all of this stuff has been happening for decades. It's not either or
-
it's both. You understand. What happened and Acts was they went into persecution,
-
so they no longer could meet publicly. But before that persecution hit,
-
they were gathering corporately and going home to home daily breaking bread. What does
-
that say? You can't survive on two hours on a Sunday? Y'all?
-
This is training ground, but we need to be together daily as a body
-
of Christ breaking bread. So I want to encourage you. Don't don't think
-
that you're gonna become a champion in the faith with two hours a week,
-
Like what does your walk with the Lord look like the rest of the time?
-
I forgot how many other hour? How many hours there are in a
-
week, but yeah, one hundred and sixty eight, So what are you
-
going to do with the other one hundred and sixty six hours? He used
-
to burn me up. I'd see all these big, massive churches and the
-
lights are off six days a week. They may have something going on on
-
a Wednesday night or a Sunday. Our heart as we build out that there
-
are things happening daily that we have connect groups, we have Bible studies,
-
we have the School of Ministry, we have conferences, we have workshop because
-
this is an Antioch hub. This is an equipping center for people to come
-
in, get healed, get equipped, and walk in what they've been called
-
to walk in. And if that's with us, awesome, If that's not
-
we have to fulfill the kingdom. I love people. I'm not into this
-
thing to create programs. I'm here because I want to see the Holy Spirit
-
magnify the Father and the Son. We want to be a spirit led community
-
that is running after the tangible presence of the Lord Jesus, and as he
-
moves in our midst then we build structure to support what he's doing. We
-
don't build structure to make him move. Are you with me? You can't
-
make God move. We can't just say okay, Lord revival. That's why
-
I always laugh about here my heart. But like when we do revival meetings,
-
I understand the heart and the hungery it. Please don't get mad at
-
me, But you can't make God pour out. That is a sovereign thing
-
that he chooses to do, and he does these B twelve shots in us
-
when we need them. But guess what, as God moves and as God
-
begins to pour out his glory, we want to be a community that can
-
stewart what he's doing so that it's not a visitation but habitation, so we
-
can actually hand that off as a spiritual inheritance to the next generation. Every
-
revival started with God and ended with man. Study him if you can't tell
-
him a little pumped up this morning? All right about to lot, haven't
-
I cut my coffee back this morning? That's only my third cup? Thank
-
you? Well technically anyways, Yeah, there was a quad shot in the
-
first one. You know, it's crazy, I've almost I've gone I didn't
-
even look at my outline and I've already gone through a bunch of it.
-
So the greater the call of God on your life, the greater the testing
-
that must take place. Testing brings humility and forgiveness. Testing is for the
-
praise, glory and honor of the Lord. Let me give you a few
-
signs of if you know if you're being tested. Can you all give me
-
about seven minutes to land this? Okay? Signs that you're being tested when
-
you find yourself going through circumstances you've never gone through before. When you have
-
a dream that you're back in school and you're taking a test, when you're
-
being tempted in ways that you've never been empt before, when you're being persecuted
-
in ways that you've not been before, when you've been betrayed by someone you
-
trusted. You have just received a powerful prophetic word. I let me tell
-
you something. When the prophet come, when the prophets come to town.
-
I used to be like, Jesus, do you see me? Do you
-
see me? That honeymoon phase ended? Can I get a witness? Troy?
-
Now I'm like, don't see me, don't see me. Lord,
-
I got ten prophetic words and I'm getting my butt kicked on. They're not
-
fulfilled yet. I don't need another one. Yeah. If y'all didn't figure
-
that out, you will trust me. The honeymoon of being called out by
-
another prophet is not always hmm, because then the purging starts. Is what
-
is happening. He's removing everything from you that when you get there, would
-
destroy you. That's the purging. So open your hands and say purge,
-
because he rewards our faithfulness with pruning so that we produce more fruit. Pruning
-
hurts when it's getting cut. Y'all right, If trees could scream when you're
-
pruning them, you probably hear something. You've just had a vision of your
-
future. Get ready, everything's going wrong and you don't know why. When
-
you're right on the edge of breakthrough and then it seems to fall apart.
-
The danger of that is all of a sudden. Now, guess what you
-
think. You feel like there's this proverbial carrot being dangled in front of you,
-
and that you just can't quite get it. God doesn't play games.
-
You show up to a place, you're called tomaturely, you're gonna look around
-
and nobody else will be there. Your destiny is tied into others. Your
-
destiny is in people, not in buildings and things, and God is moving
-
in their lives and orchestrating and putting people in place. If you're a leader,
-
turn around, who are you leading? There's enough that some are called
-
some show up just because we say something. The fruit proves it. Embrace
-
the cross. Trust him, that is it getting that bad? Trust him
-
for I've hey, I've had moments where I wanted to cry like that in
-
my walk. Lord, no more, almost done, I promise. Here's
-
another thing. And this is what we don't want because wilderness. Wilderness times
-
in our life come by two ways, either by design for your promotion or
-
by default because of your rebellion. You don't want to go into a wilderness
-
period because of rebellion. We need to come into a place of such sensitivity
-
of the Holy Spirit, that he can lead us with his eyes alone.
-
Yet, remember when you were a kid and your dad gave you that look
-
when you knew you need to straighten up. Our mom gave you that look,
-
and you knew that when you got that look. Oh streetbuck boys,
-
come on now, Oh are you doing Dad's look? That's awesome, but
-
you know the look right. Let me encourage y'all. We want to get
-
into a place of such sensitivity with the Holy Spirit that just the slightest lift
-
of his presence, just the slightest nudge, and we're like, Oh,
-
he doesn't want us to he doesn't want me to do that. You ever
-
get ready to say something and then you feel a check. Don't blow past
-
that check. I've done it way too many times in my life and it
-
doesn't work out well if you can't figure it out. Some I'm still unfiltered.
-
Sometimes I'm like, oh, justin, I'm getting better. I'm trying,
-
I promise, but you know what I'm saying, James says. Be
-
quick to listen James one nineteen or one twenty. Be quick to listen,
-
be slow to speak, and slow to become angry, because the anger of
-
man does not produce the righteousness of God. In fact, I'll say this,
-
to the degree you struggle with anger prophesies how much fear is in your
-
heart. To the degree that you struggle with anger is actually prophesying to how
-
much fear is in your heart. When you're fearful, anger comes and says
-
I will protect you. You Ever, notice when when you get hit with
-
fear and all of a sudden, the very next thing the jawbone chop,
-
your and your and your some of y'all have issues with your uh TM and
-
you need to get delivered of anger. Sorry, your soul, your physical
-
body manifests what's in your soul. I love you, but I'm not gonna
-
lie to you. That much of the iceberg shows above the water, and
-
that's just like the very core of your personality, very little of your You
-
have your consciousness and you have your subconsciousness. And we are experts at disassociation.
-
We are experts at partnering with checking out because we want to put distance
-
between the pain and the rejection that we've gone through in our life, and
-
we don't want to deal with the trauma. So the enemy offers solutions,
-
right, and you you may have battled drugs because of all the pain you
-
went through. You may have battled alcohol. You may battle pills, you
-
may and and other people battle other ways. Sin is sin, y'all.
-
We need to trust the Lord to go deep to cut us with his word
-
to bring healing. Okay, anybody, anybody not offended yet? Okay,
-
I'm gonna read. I gotta read this. I can't. I got one
-
minute, I said seven, So bear with me. And we've gone through
-
this before, but this is really interesting. On the same day, the
-
Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, to your descendants, I've given
-
this land from the river at Jip to the Great River, the River Euphrates,
-
the Keennites, the Keenan, keen Brah the Kenites, the Keenazites,
-
the Catamites, the Hittites, the Purzites, the raphae Em the Amorite,
-
the Canaanites, the Gergashites, and the Jebusites, and all other otherites.
-
When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess,
-
he has cast out many nations before you, and he goes through all
-
these lands. But they had to deal with them. They had to deal
-
with these ten lands these ten peoples, and do you know that names mean
-
something? Are you ready for this? The Keenites mean fabricator, lies,
-
false accusation. You're gonna deal with the giants. Everyone will deal with There's
-
been false accusation against you. And will you make yourself of no reputation and
-
allow the Lord to vindicate your name in his time? Or will you vindicate
-
your name yourself? The Keenozites means possessive or coveteousness, trying to look more
-
spiritual than you are. Are trying to be someone else or walk in someone
-
else's anointing. You have your own shoes to walk in, and the anointing
-
is attracted to authenticity. And when you try to act like somebody else,
-
you're robbing the world of an authentic expression of a part of the nature of
-
God that only you can manifest. Katamites means ancient ways or religious spirit.
-
Remember the purest definition of a religious spirit is using God's word to do your
-
own thing. So you lookiritual without repentance. And he says, look,
-
there are seven mightier and greater than you. So he said, look,
-
y'all, you can take out the first three without me. But You're not
-
going to take out the other seven without me. This goes back to the
-
reference to the dark Knight of the Spirit, where you have done everything you've
-
been called to do. You're bearing your cross, you're walking with him,
-
and either he shows up to fight the battle to take out these giants,
-
or you do not inherit your inheritance. And if you keep trying to help
-
him with these seven, then you're gonna keep going back around the mountain because
-
you have to get into a place where you're totally reliant upon him to remove
-
all of the giants. Are you with me? The hit sites mean sons
-
of terror, subliminal torments, phobia's terror, depression, deceit. The Gurgashites
-
mean stranger, feeling out of place, like you don't fit in. Amorite
-
means sayer or to speak, to speak against our boast, its pride,
-
and guess what. He gives grace to the humble, but he opposes the
-
proud. Canaanites means zealous, a premature opportunity. Perzites means squatter, limited
-
vision, lazy, our low self esteem. The raphaem means giant villagers vision
-
limited to enjoying an earthly inheritance, hedonism, and the final one Jebusites means
-
don don don trodden our depression, our victim mentality. If you leave a
-
victim spirit in your life for comfort, because it allows you not to take
-
responsibility of your life, and then therefore you don't have to feel the pressure
-
checking out and you're never gonna get free because the victim spirit will guarantee you
-
don't take responsibility for what you actually believe in your heart. There's giants in
-
the land, but the grapes are worth it. Will you step into a
-
place in Him where you're truly gonna let him do it? Compromise doesn't bring
-
fruit, all right, it doesn't bring righteous fruit. Let's stand if I
-
can have the prayer team come up? Wayne? Could you? Hey?
-
Can everybody just I just want to again acknowledge Wayne and just bless him first
-
up and up. Hello, Thank you for listening. For more messages and
