The Light Of Life!

M hm. You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week. We

hope you enjoy this message from Justin Carpenter. Awesome, oh man, Thursday,

y'all. I didn't know if I was going to be uh playing drums

or uh or speaking. I felt rough rough, rough, did dislike get

I don't ever remember this rocking before. Okay, AnyWho, I was gonna

say something, this is going to be really good, and I just went

right out of my mind. So the oh so the goal, y'all.

Our goal is February go to two services. So so for those of you

that like to get up earlier and come and you don't have kids, because

first service will not have all the extra kids church and all of that up

front until we continue to grow and uh add more servants. So continue to

pray into that and pray for the worship teams because they will be playing playing

twice and uh and whoever. And pray for the speakers because whoever teaches,

if they blow it the first service, they'll get another chance second service to

do it again. Oh man. So I've started, I've started praying and

asking the Lord about next year, and uh, you know, I don't

I don't. I don't try to do like a yearly word or anything,

but I do like to get a heads up, you know what I'm saying,

Like, Lord, do we need to keep our crash helmet on?

Or how are we doing? And I did hear one thing really clearly.

And I'm not done praying into things, but I heard a theme. It

says we do hard things. We do hard things. And you know,

I think we're poised, we're positioned right now to be hope in the midst

of chaos. I think that as it gets darker around us, when you

know Jesus, you're gonna shine brighter. And looking back over the last year,

you see you clearly see that the enemy is getting nervous. Where we

we have it has been. I don't know about y'all, but this is

probably one of the hardest years I've had for ministry. There were there were

moments where if I didn't know I was called and that my calling does not

have an expiration date, I probably would have quit. Just being truthful,

there were moments that intense and I'm not there now, so don't worry,

but thank you. Yeah, Galatians four fourth says, but when the fullness

of time had come, God sent forth his son, born of a woman

born under the law. You know, when we think about the fullness of

time, has anybody ever pondered that scripture? Specifically when the fullness of time

had come, that's when Jesus showed up. You have to understand something.

You talk about this contrast of darkness and light, and I think we really

need to wrap our heads around this issue of darkness and light because it says

gross darkness is going to cover the people and cover the earth. That's one

side of it. Do you think things are getting darker right now? Yeah?

Why do you suppose the darkness is trying to increase? Because what is

the enemy doing? He's opposing what God's doing. It says that the knowledge

of the glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the

sea. You are ambassadors of Christ right now, whether you like it or

not. God intentionally puts you on planet Earth right now at this point in

history, whether you like it or not. And I just want to tell

you, buckle up, and if you have a hard time with hard stuff,

you're gonna get more practice. There's never y'all. Look at the tension

and scriptures in this all through from Genesis to Revelation, the enemy never set

back and did nothing when God was on the move. The enemy was always

there to try to hinder things, to try to slow things down, and

the believe it or not. In the mid fifties, like fifty five to

fifty eight, we hit a peak with the church in the United States.

Like church attendants, fifty percent of America attended service weekly in the mid fifties.

Take a guess what today is twenty percent. Twenty percent of the United

States attends a weekly service twenty percent. See, we think of these things,

what you focus on, you make room for. Even on social media,

when you start looking at a certain subject on social media, algorithms kick

in and they actually start kicking more of that subject to you. And if

you don't understand how that works, all of a sudden, you get a

skewed picture of reality because all of a sudden, you're being bombarded with this.

But they're simply trying to feed your appetite. Are you with me?

Don't worry, We're not going to stay all doom and gloom. It's Christmas

people. I have a whole bunch of statistics, but I might depress you.

Mary becomes pregnant on the cuffs of four hundred years of silence. There's

a scripture for Samuel three to one. It says, now the boy Samuel

was ministering to the Lord in the presence of Eli, and the word of

the Lord was rare in those days. There was no frequent vision. I

want to submit to you this morning that the word of the Lord is much

rarer than you think. We got a whole lot of people honk him,

but not everything that's said can be validated. And in fact, I'll encourage

you on the twenty seventh to go to Remnant Radio and watch the review of

all the prophetic words of twenty twenty three and see how many of them actually

came to pass. See. I think we're on the cuffs of prophets rising

up like the days of old, where prophets will actually carry the word of

the Lord and Heaven will back them. We haven't necessarily been there over the

last several years, but I absolutely believe that God is about to raise up

some men and women that carry his word and fear him. They had four

hundred years of silence. Imagine some of y'all get upset because you haven't heard

anything for a couple of months. How would you like to try out four

hundred years people, you have the scrolls, you have the script. You

want a word, Get in the word. Amos eight eleven to twelve says,

Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord God, when I

will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor

a thirst of water, but of hearing the words of the Lord. They

shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east. They shall

run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, but they shall

not find it. This is painting, this picture of darkness. When Jesus

gets ready to show up in the fullness of time, it's the fullness of

darkness, a void of his word, his ram of word, four hundred

years of silence. People are wondering if the Messiah is ever going to show

up. People are thinking that this Messiah, when he shows up, he's

going to stop a mud hole in the Roman Empire and set up his earthly

kingdom right then and there. And all of a sudden, Jesus shows up

on the scene, and he's doing everything polar opposite of what everybody thinks he's

gonna do his own. Disciples don't even believe who he is. For a

long period of time, he goes, how long have I been with you

and you still don't see Isaiah nine, The people who walked in darkness have

seen a great light. Those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness on

them has light shone. This is the fullness of time for unto us,

a child is born. To us, a son is given. And the

government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful counselor

Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, of the increase of his

government and of peace, there will be no end. You know, peace

is a weapon if you look at the pictograph meaning of the Hebrew word for

peace literally means to destroy the chaos that causes anxiety. So when Jesus said

peace to the storm, he killed the chaos of that storm that was not

coming from his father but coming from the enemy. He rebukes the disciples for

their unbelief because he already told them We're going to the other side. See

if you keep your eyes on the waves, that's exactly the life you're going

to have. In those moments when you can see Jesus on top of the

wave, you think life is awesome. And in those moments between the waves

and you can't see him, you're going to be petrified because it says he

was walking on the water and the waves were contrary. You could see him,

and then you couldn't see him, and then you could see him,

and then you couldn't see him, and you could see him. And it

was in the moment Peter was Lord of It's you command me to come out.

He goes, come, and he sees him, but then he doesn't

see him. An unbelief comes in, and that's exactly what it is today

with all the shakings, Anything that can be shaken will be shaken. And

in the midst of the shakings, you have this temptation where you can't see

Jesus the way you desire to see him in that moment, and all of

a sudden you're falling apart. Where'd you go? Lord? And he didn't

go anywhere. Just because you can't feel him doesn't mean he's not inside of

you, that he's not upon you. He is not emotion. He is

the God of the universe. And we need to understand that, we need

to tap into his unconscious presence. What do I mean by that that you

recognize his presence when you can't feel it. Everybody wants the mountaintops, but

warriors are built in the valley. See. We have a moment to rise

and shine and be the light that He called us to be. We can

actually live a life of holiness, of righteousness, pursuing him to where he

is justified to act on our behalf, where actually we don't have to try

to chase signs and wonders. They automatically follow us because we believe and we're

obedient. If you don't think that, we absolutely are desperate for God to

move sovereignly in this nation. We are on the cuffs of either total chaos

or move a God. And I believe that with all my heart. I

think that we have a whole lot of head knowledge about God, but not

as much heart knowledge. We have a whole bunch of people because they can

tell you facts and statistics about spirituality and about Jesus. That how they're experts,

but they don't know Jack, he said, my wife gave me a

look. I'm growing up, babe. I'm trying. I promise Sean's laughing

that you know they've been with me for a long time. One of the

scariest scriptures in the Bible, y'all, is Lord Lord, do we not

prophisign your name? Did we not cast out demons? Did we not do

miracles, signs and wonders? Listen, hear me. Let him cut you

deep in this hour, because your flesh can't go in this next season it

we'll truly surrender and live a life of submission. The glory of the Lord

is going to rest in a way that we've prayed and begged and dreamed of.

I believe that with all my heart. Salvation is free, relationship is

costly. And He does not he does not wink. He does not wink

at our disobedience. And it's all the little, stubborn, arrogant, rebellious

things that we do that we believe are little, not that big of a

deal, But in heaven they're huge. It's the little things that you refuse

to allow the Lord to cut from you that's actually keeping you from your promotion.

Who Isaiah sixty one to two, A rise, shine, for your

light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

For behold darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the people's But the

Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen on you.

Isaiah sixty that this is an Isaiah sixty hour. You were made for this

hour, every one of you. You were made to show the world what

family's supposed to look like. You were made to show the world what a

husband's supposed to look like, what a wife is supposed to look like,

what a family unit is supposed to look like. You understand that the Hebrews

mindset does not divide their life up. Everything is holiness unto the Lord.

Everything they do, whether they're with their family and their living room, playing

family games, or they're exercising, whatever they're doing, it's all unto the

Lord. They don't have a Greek mindset where they're dividing everything up. Their

whole life is to the Lord. You want to read the little booklet by

Brother Lawrence practicing the Presence. Listen. You are always thinking a hope,

otherwise you're in trouble. Every one of you. You're constantly thinking, so

why not think about God? When it says pray without ceasing, it doesn't

mean well, some of you all drive like you are. But it doesn't

mean your eyes are closed and you're going down the street praying, but you're

you're communing, your communing with the Lord. I used to wear a bracelet,

and every time I look down on it, it would remind me what

am I thinking of right now? I promise you, if you get into

a place where you begin to capture the downtime of your life with the Lord,

then when you get those bigger pockets of intimacy where you can really focus

and get alone with him, those times will be that much mo betta,

thank you all for bearing with me on getting on the other side of this

cold a back at two fourteen. For the earth will be filled with the

knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

How is the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.

It's by you. It's by you fulfilling the great commission and going and declaring

the knowledge of the Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus died for sinners. It's

the gospel of the Kingdom that you carry, this eternal gospel, this message

that Paul took so seriously, said, my gospel. That was the intensity

that Paul had He says, it's my gospel, and we need to have

that same intensity of ownership over the gospel of the Kingdom in this hour,

because there's a world that's lost, that doesn't know their head from the ground.

Half of them can't even figure out how they were born. Listen,

y'all, it is time to arise and be light to darkness. You have

to understand when he says you are the light of the world, it's because

the light of the world is inside of you. He is light, You

are light. God is light, He is eternal light. He who is

light said, let there be light. Eternal light spoken, light created light.

Everything is light, every fabric, even the particles on your chair.

Your chairs are vibrating right now. Oh that was a bad joke, all

right, never mind, I was getting yep, I caught it. See

I'm grown up. And but it's everything is moving, the part the atoms

are moving so fast. It's like this, even though it's moving. And

at the very substance, the gluons and the mesons are literally light. And

your spirit is light. And when Jesus said, look, the eyes are

the windows to your soul, and he goes, if that light in you

is dark? How great is that darkness? But if your eyes are clear,

if your eyes are full of light, then your whole body is full

of light. But you can't walk in a fence and bitterness and unforgiveness and

self pity and expect to radiate light to the world. You want to know

why the world's not busting the doors of the churches down number one, because

we're supposed to go. When was the shift in this country where we think

the world's just gonna come piling in? He didn't say come, He said

go John one to five. The light shines in the darkness, and the

darkness has not overcome it. I remember, early on, early, early,

early on, in my deliverance days, this spirit came all the way

forward, I mean full blown. That person was out of there somewhere in

the background, and the spirit came all the way forward and said I'm gonna

kill you and I'm gonna kill your family. And it was not holly.

I mean, it was a gnarly I mean it was y'all. This was

you know, like I don't know, long time ago, long enough to

where I had a moment to either pee my pants or are mad up in

that hour, and something rose up in me because darkness cannot overcome light.

And I got three inches from that person's face, who was no longer present

at that moment, and I put my hands out and I go, why

wait, you got to go through my father first, And all of a

sudden it went. Your promotions come in the battlefield. In fact, the

most powerful encounters of God are gonna happen in your life when you've become obedient

to your calling. And you go, if you're sitting around waiting thinking you're

just gonna have why is the Lord gonna give you angelic visitations and all these

things? When you're just sitting there, You're in a holy huddle, and

everybody's like, oh, look how bright we are. Look you shine,

I shine. That's as great as an impersonation. I got sorry John eight

twelve. And Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of

the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have

the light of life. What are you delighting in today? Are you delighting

in the light of life? Do you understand that this abundant life that he

died for, that he paid the most brutal price, This abundant life is

not found in your soul. The abundant life is found walking in the spirit.

See, I think our souls rule us way more than we think.

And I think many times we're walking and strongholds of our soul, and we

think we're walking in the spirit. You understand, your soul is your mind,

your will, and your emotions. The soul is not all bad.

You need your soul to love the Lord, your God with all of your

heart, with all of your soul and all of your strength. But the

soul makes a horrible master. Do we truly know? And oh, in

case you haven't figured it out, exposures happening all over the place right now.

They're talking about Epstein's flight log being exposed, exposure in every political sphere

of influence. For years, I've been saying it's not time to have sin

in your life, especially if you're a leader. And I remember years and

years and years ago John All said, you will be shocked at the spiritual

leaders that get uncovered, and for the type of sexual morality they're being uncovered.

And and there's there's you know, there's things happening right now. There's

leaders right now being exposed there was there was a leader out of Dallas that

just got some serious allegations. And if what's being said comes out, y'all

character character, character character, Trump's gifting. God is not impressed with your

gift. He gave it to you. You understand that, right, He's

the creator of your gift. He's not impressed with your gifting. There are

times where I can prophisy through a whole room and give details, and there

are other times I don't know my head from the ground and guess what.

As long as my character is good and my identity correct, then when I

don't have these mountaintop moments, prophetically, I'm totally at peace because my identity

is not what I do, it's who I am. I'm a son.

There is so much accusation happening in the body of Christ right now. People

are accusing and accusing and accusing. Do you know, accusations the work of

the enemy. And there's one reason, because if you take the bait of

accusation, then you get offended. And if you get offended, then you

divide, and a house divided cannot stand. When you're offended, you will

hear things that were never said. You'll see things that aren't reality, and

you will be offended until you are no longer offended. You don't have the

right to be right. You don't, We don't, none of us.

We don't have the right to be right. We have the right to be

dead. Jesus made himself a no reputation. Wouldn't it be awesome if we

could get that? Instead, we're trying to make ourselves of great reputation all

over the place. Fire falls on sacrifice, not pride. You all with

me, Merry Christmas. I almost did a movie quote. Sorry, I'm

doing really good. Aren't you proud of me? This morning? Sean,

I'm like, I'm almost acting mature up here. I know. Don't push

it, don't push it. I just got a couple more scriptures for you.

We are going to get out of here early today. So, but

if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have

fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus's son cleanses us from all

sin. If we walk in the light, understand, all the scriptures were

written for believers. All of the scriptures and the New Covenant are written for

us, y'all. Yeah. John three, nineteen to twenty one and this

is the judgment. The light has come into the world, and the people

loved the darkness rather than the light, because their works were evil. For

everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light

lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to

the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been

carried out in God. Listen, James gives us the safety valve. It

says, confess your sins one to another, and pray for one another that

you might be what healed. So look, it's real simple. If you're

living in the light and you blow it, repent and stay in the light.

When I LISTA and I got into an argument last night, just a

brief, little moment. We've had twenty four years of lists most of the

time, right. But here's the thing. When you confess, you pulled

it out of darkness, you brought it into the light. It's cleansed by

the blood of Jesus, and now the enemy has no legal right to mess

with you. Live in the light. We're all listen. If you're looking

for perfect leaders, you're not gonna find them. Even leaders are in process.

Even leaders are learning how to lead. Even leaders are maturing. If

you're looking for perfection on any of this leadership, the elders or anybody,

you're gonna have to leave because we are not perfect. Okay. I know

some of y'all might think that Sean flies into his outfit every morning before he

leads worship, but that's not true. I know Sean, Sean knows me.

Sometimes we look exactly well, very close to Jesus, and then there

are moments that we're not that bright. But you know what, we're all

in process. If we can humble ourselves and stop judging each other's processes,

we'll actually have unity in the body. It will actually be okay with where

each of us are at. You may see somebody over here cussing like a

sailor, not y'all, not Carla like over here, like somewhere out there,

and you have a temptation to judge them in that moment and get all

offended. But what if they literally just came off the street and just got

saved three days ago, know where they're at. It says we're called to

judge righteously. Right There was a man sent from God whose name was John.

He came as a witness to bear witness about the light that all might

believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness

about the light. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was

coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world made

through him, and the world made through him, Yet the world did not

know him. You all understand that John was called the greatest prophet, and

he didn't have one single personal prophecy, not one single personal recorded prophecy.

Do you know, personal prophecy doesn't mean you're a prophet. It doesn't all

can prophisy one Grinthians fourteen. Because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of

prophecy Revelation nineteen ten. Then there's the gift of prophecy, which when you

find yourself prophisying and encouraging and comforting, edification, exhortation and comfort spirit,

soul, and body. When you find yourself doing that often, then it

points to a gift. But there's lots of people out there that have a

legitimate gift of prophecy, but they're not prophets, and yet they call themselves

prophets. We've got to grow up in the church and be able to recognize

the gifts operating in people. You need to understand your gift. You need

to understand the way it moves through you, the way God partners with you,

because everyone is unique. And when we get into these these mud slinging

contests in the body of Christ, you're throwing mud at someone who has created

in God's image a rise and shine. A rise and shine, it says,

for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in

the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of light is

found in all that is good and right and true. And try to discern

what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in unfruitful works of darkness,

but instead expose them, for it is shameful even to speak of things

that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light,

it becomes visible. For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore, it

says, awake, oh sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ

will shine on you. I it changed my spiritual life when I actually begin

to think and color what do I mean by that? Because God is light

and you are light. You actually think in light metaphorically thinking, but you're

literally light see. If we really believed that we were the light of the

world, we would walk into rooms and light them up for for for you

revelatory people that have discerning spirits. Please do not get caught up in only

focusing on the dark when you enter a room. Yeah, listen, it

doesn't It doesn't take long for us to see darkness. It doesn't take it

doesn't take somebody's intergalactic international apostolic profit to realize people got dirt. We are

called to call the gold out in people. We are called to call them

up. We are called to go into darkness and take the treasures out of

darkness. There's a word over this house. It says God's called you to

clean all the ones that everybody else is afraid of. And I want to

say not just afraid of. People don't want to deal with all the poop.

How many churches do you know that if you go in and I'm not

pointing fingers locally or I'm just asking a question, that people feel like they

can come in and be loved where they're at and truly be championed. Well,

we desire to be that. Are we perfect? Absolutely not, But

that's at the forefront. Two left This is the message we've heard from him

and proclaimed to you, that God is light, and in him is no

darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with Him while we walk

in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we

walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship

with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it in a cellar or under

a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see

the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye

is healthy, your whole body is full of light. But when it is

bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore, be careful lest the

light in you be darkness. If your whole body is full of light,

having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp

with its rays give you light. The abundant life is found on the highway

of holiness. The abundant life is found in a pursuit of righteousness. When

we are surrendered unto the Lord, walking in spirit and truth, we are

literally radiating that life. And the more we allow the Lord to transform us,

the brighter, we shine, y'all. There's very few people I've met,

probably three my whole life, that if they were one hundred and fifty

feet from you, you could feel them. They literally change the atmosphere.

They lit the room up, and it's because of Christ in them, the

hope of glory. One was John Paul Jackson. How was at a conference

and all of a sudden I could feel the atmosphere shifting, getting brighter and

brighter, and I'm like, what in the world. I'm like looking where,

like what is going on? And I was like, who in the

world is carrying the Lord? Like that no exaggeration, And at about thirty

seconds later, here comes John Paul around the corner that invitation to carry Jesus

for every one of us? How bad do we want to know? When

he said, Peter, do you love me more than these? Too much?

In the Western Church, we fit Jesus into our life and call it

holiness. We give him a couple hours a week and say we're spiritual.

The world's dying to hear the truth. Every one of you are literally Christmas

presents to the world, waiting to be unwrapped to see the light you carry.

Will you make yourself of no reputation. Will you stay humble? Will

you live a life with humility? Are you willing to overlook an offense?

Are you willing to love your enemies? Hardest question I ever had in my

life was when the Lord said, will you love Judas? Will we love

Judas? Will we love our enemies? Will we truly pray for those that

persecute us? Will we bless them and not curse them? If you're offended,

you'll always want to be right. You have to be right. But

when you know God is the vindicator, that God vindicates us and his timing,

then we don't have to carry living a life of vindication. We allow

him to be God and we are as kids. So if you're unwrapped right

now, what are they going to get? If you're a gift on Christmas

and you get unwrapped, what's the world going to get? Almost done?

Promise Sean? Could you come up and do you know there's twenty four elders

around God's throne and there's twenty four colors on a color wheel? Do you

know the rainbow and found in Revelation four the throne room, Yeah, represents

the seven spirits of God the manorah represents the seven spirits of God. Isaiah

eleven two talks about Jesus, and it says, there shall come forward a

shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear

fruit, and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit

of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of

knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. And when you take that rainbow

and you align it with Isaiah eleven with the seven spirits of God, all

of a sudden you understand wisdom is read and the fear of the Lord is

purple. You begin to get context to this whole issue of God being light,

you being light. Colors matter, even your gift has a color.

And when you're moving in revelation, you'll radiate blue light. You have a

dream and you have a strongholden. Orange is in the dream. That's because

you're stubborn. And I'm not looking at you, But y'all, there's all

these nuggets. Go look at the twelve tribes, look at their colors from

the breastplate, and then understand the characteristics of those colors. And all of

a sudden, now this whole issue of this little light of mine. All

of a sudden you are light, and you are radiating that light because the

light of the world is inside of you. And then all of a sudden

you begin to live a spiritual life where you walk into a room and you

change the atmosphere. People are changed without you talking because Christ is in you,

and that light is touching the darkness on those people, and the darkness

does not overcome the light. So I pray that this morning we all walk

away shining a little brighter, that we walk away realizing that we carry an

eternal gospel of hope for a lost and dying world. And the Lord is

inside of you, for you, but he's resting on you for others.

Did Jeff something I want to grab the four micro quicken? Yeah? I

don't so many so I have a what I feel like the Lord's saying,

is are you pregnant with the promise? Many times we don't think about Mary

on an angel appeared to her gave her a word that she's having going to

have a child, the Son of God. He then appeared to Joseph to

confirm his word to be together, and then she finds herself nine months pregnant

on the back of a donkey in the middle of the nine Where's God?

If I'm having a son of God, why wouldn't it be different? Why

would this road not be so hard? Why wouldn't there be a place for

us to stay? How many times did it? Did it? Did she

have opportunity to doubt what God had said and what God had done? So

I would encourage you. Are you pregnant with the promise? Don't let those

things of doubt, the little things, get in the way from what God

is worth within you. Yeah, good word, good word. Remember this.

Don't let unbelief steal your voice. Because there was two different responses.

When the angel came, Mary was like, well how would this be?

And then guess who said, well, how is this going to happen?

Oh? Okay, don't get to talk until he's born. Unbelief will steal

your voice. Don't let it steal your voice. Don't give up, It

says, wait for it, the vision though at Terry, wait for it.
