The Mystery of Healing!

it's okay. Oh and by the way, we're not we don't have to

raise ten thousand that that's the total cost for all the kids, which also

includes parents that are actually paying for their kids, so we're not. It's

not ten grand and sponsorships just as just so there's no miscommunication on that.

So it is a blessing to see David Perkins here this morning, and David

at our hearts and condolence goes out to you, my friend, his wife

graduated to heaven Tuesday night going into Wednesday morning, overround midnight, and she

will be terribly missed on this side of eternity. But we very thankful for

you too. And I looked over and saw you worshiping, and it just

wrecked me. That's the most beautiful response to see that. Now I can't

see like Ben last week, we love you, buddy, Okay. So

Ben touched on the issue of healing and how he felt like God was going

to be really opening up this issue of healing corporately. And it's something we

wholeheartedly are pursuing, believe in. We don't need a prophetic word for it.

Jesus said, the things I do, you will do in greater He's

already commissioned us to do the works, to do the stuff right. So

every single one of you already have been given a green light to see the

gospel preached and the advancement of His kingdom. But we can get stuck in

this pursuit of his We can get stuck in the pursuit of gifting. You

know, we've seen abuses where people totally focus on gifting and they've got the

character of the current. Never mind that was I caught myself lack of character.

And then we've seen people that have swung the other way and it's and

it's all character, cessationism, no no power, no gifting, and they

are left to essentially arguing people into the kingdom, which if you hadn't figured

out, doesn't work out well. And so I want to talk to you

about the mystery of healing this morning, actually in depth. My goal for

you in the next three and a half hours is to actually, oh you

are listening, is to actually equip you to feel at least comfortable enough to

start laying your hands on the sick if you haven't. Does that sound good?

That? That is literally my goal this morning, and I've got about

forty minutes or so to do so I had less the first service, and

somehow I think got everything out. What do you think, Piper eleven?

Actually, but that's prophetic? Okay, let's dive in. Have you ever

pins grab them or pencils? And I'm sorry, I don't have my paper

Bible this morning with my iPad, but I promise this is real scripture I'm

reading as like ken Fish said that one time when he's here for a conference,

you need a real Bible. And John Thomas and I were both sitting

up there with our iPads in the front row. I thought that was funnier

than you did. Evidently. Okay, So what is healing? I want

to clear some misconceptions up this morning. Specifically in the arena of healing and

miracles, healing is the removal of something from the body. Vine says it

is restoring something to normal or original intent and purpose. So, in other

words, what we looked like before the fall. In the garden, there

was no sickness, there was no disease, So it's it's a removal of

sickness and disease that's come in as the effects of living in a fallen world.

The Hebrew word for healing is actually rafa. You'll find it spelled roughly

four different four different ways, but all of them essentially mean the same thing,

healing. Now in the Greek the word for healing is soso. Anybody

heard soso ministry, all heard of that right inner healing and all that well.

Soso means to save, to heal, to make whole, to rescue

from danger or the The idea is that of saving from disease and its effects.

Soso is where we get the word salvation. So if anyone tells you

that healing is not in the atonement, they are deceived. It says by

his stripes we are healed. It says in the Psalms that he forgives all

of our sins, heals all of our diseases. So complete atonement for healing

is there at the Cross, and he addresses our tripart being. Where saved

is actually your spirit. We're delivered, which is our soul mind will and

emotions, and then healed our physical bodies. Are you all listening fast?

Okay? Good? And In one Corinthians twelve seven to nine, it says,

to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

For to one is given through the spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to

another the utterance of knowledge according to the same spirit, to another their faith

by the same spirit, and to another gifts plural of healing by the one

Spirit. And it goes on to say that the Holy Spirit gives as he

sees, So to tell everyone that they have to have every single gift is

not biblical. The Holy Spirit gives a gifts as he sees fit. And

yet we live in this paradox or this tension where it says earnestly desire the

gifts, but especially that you would prophesy. And so you have a plurality

of healings. Why because you may be in this room this morning where you

actually need healing of your soul, you actually may need healing over traumatic events.

Well, good news, you don't have to rake yourself over the coals.

You don't have to beg and plead in prod for eighteen thousand years.

Jesus is really good at healing, and he can heal life's traumas. In

a moment, you may be here where you're demonized. What does demonis mean?

It does not mean possession people. It means to be under the influence

of the power of a demon. Are you with me and guess what he's

dealt with that You may be in need of deliverance because of things you've allowed

in your life, and he is great at deliverance. And if you'll study

the scriptures, when someone was delivered from a spirit's influence, it was also

called healing. That's why it's gifts of healing pre plural. I like Legion,

How many of you all know that there were actually two legions. One

of the gospels clear that there were two guys that had two thousand demons in

them each. So these are poster child children for every label you could think

of in today's modern psychology world. They were multiple personalities. They were absolutely

did They were every label you want to put on them, and they were

healed and in their right mind in a moment. I believe wholeheartedly we need

to raise the bar on what we believe Jesus wants to do and how he

wants to do it. He says, the things I do, you will

do out of nineteen years of interhealing and deliverance. I've dealt with Legion one

time, and when I got the word of knowledge, I was like for

real and it was on. Interestingly, ken Fish, he would shared a

little short the other day he was in Mexico. Individuals demonized and they started

levitating off the ground. How many you know we'd be having a service if

that happened in here. All of a sudden, somebody's like raw rawa and

they'd come off the floor. Some of you might be running like crazy because

you'd be scared to death. But I'd be like, boom, let's go

sorry, I just I get fired up with that stuff. And so they

get the person delivered, but the person was demonized by Apollyon, which if

you all know the Book of Revelation, it means basically the gatekeeper of hell.

Interestingly, after that deliverance, guess what happened. Revival broke out literally

the whole place a complete open heaven. Everyone was healed. His entire team

people were literally being healed by a shadow length away of those people. See,

because we don't wrestle against flesh and blood. We're always wondering, Wow,

what's the deal? Like some sundays it feels like there's a massive ceiling

over a church. Other sundays it feels like we have an open heaven.

Are you with me? We don't wrestle against flesh and blood. So what

is a miracle? A miracle is actually putting something back in or on the

body. That is the difference. Many of you have probably been taught that

a miracle is an instant healing, but that's not the case. A healing

is the removal of something that does not belong in the body, disease,

sickness. A miracle is if somebody needs a new heart, a new back,

a new knee, a new elbow. That is the definition of a

miracle. It doesn't have anything to do with the longevity of a healing taking

place. Y'all with me? Okay, we think, Ricky, I'm talking

fast, so listen fast, Okay. We heal with authority Mark one twenty

seven. There was an unclean spirit and they specifically said, what is this

new teaching and the authority that he's teaching with? Because see Jesus comes onto

the scene, and all of a sudden, Keep in mind, there was

about four hundred years of silence between Melachi and the Gospels between John the Baptists,

four hundred years of silence, and all of a sudden, John the

Baptist comes on the scene. And then all of a sudden, Jesus is

on the scene, and he is jacking with everybody's theology. He is living

more free fulfilling the law than many of you do today under the New Covenant.

To catch that, and all the scribes and the Pharisees and the Sadducees

are literally freaking out because he's not just teaching knowledge, he's actually teaching with

authority Mark eleven, twenty eight. He heals the guy with the wither hand,

and they get all ticked off again. It talks about the issue of

authority, and he intentionally starts healing people on the Sabbath day to really get

every religious spirit. By the time Ben was done last week, there wasn't

a religious spirit in town for at least three or four miles. At least

Jesus probably hadn't driven out by continent. They got offended Luke four thirty two.

Again, the issue of authority Luke four to thirty six. He empowers

the twelve with authority and power. Right, I'm sorry, Luke nine to

one, given a power and authority over all demons and cure diseases. Remember

Luke nine, because we're gonna go back to that in a bit. He'd

already given them all authority and power over the enemy Luke twelve or Luke twenty

verse two. The chief priest and the scribes were with the elders, questioning

where did this authority come from? They were jealous, Remember this whole reason

why they wanted to kill because they were jealous of him, jealousy like Saul.

Saul was jealous of David. He told Jonathan, you, son of

a perverse woman. Do you not know? Y'all thought I was gonna say

something else? Do you not know that as long as he's alive, you'll

never gain the throne? He told that. He told David that, I

mean Jonathan, that jealousy is an ugly, ugly deal. And of course

Matthew twenty one to twenty three. Jesus cursed the fig tree, and they

came back by, and they marveled at his authority, that he cursed this

fig tree the enemy is not afraid of power because the enemy still has power.

He didn't lose power, he lost his authority. The demon shrieked because

of the authority that Jesus walked in the moment he showed up. They're freaking

out. Did you know? You can be in church services and see people

get healed and they still keep demons. Because we heal with power. You

drive demons out with authority. Remember, we have power over his power,

and we have authority over his power. And then Matthew twenty eight eighteen is

the great commission. All y'all have been given authority to advance the kingdom,

to make disciples of all nations, regardless of your sphere of influence or your

metron y'all hear me. And Luke and Luke seven one to ten, we're

given a major key in how to increase our faith. Y'all go to Luke

seven if you have your Bibles with you. It's in the new cover.

In it. Mark, Yeah, I wasn't saying the Book of Mark.

I was messing with Mark. So Luke seven I almost started reading Luke one

being a smarty pants. Sorry, after he had finished all his sayings in

the hearing of the of the people, he entered Capernaum. Now a centurion

had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was

highly valued by him. When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent to

him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant.

And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying,

he is worthy to have you do this for him, for he loves our

nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue. And Jesus

went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion

sent friends, saying to him, Lord, do not trouble yourself, for

I'm not worthy to have you come under my roof. Therefore I did not

presume to come to you, but say the word, and let my servant

be healed, For I too, am a man set under authority, with

soldiers are come. And he comes and to my servant, do this,

and he does it. When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him,

and, turning to the crowd that followed him, said, I tell

you, not even in Israel have I found such faith. So what are

nuggets we can pull from here. Well. Number one, authority is not

a gift. Authority is about relationship. It's based on intimacy and proximity.

So you can ebb and flow. You can grow an authority, or you

can decline an authority. In other words, you're never going to take ground

in somebody else's life that you haven't allowed the kingdom to advance in your own.

That's why some may not even be able to rebuke a cold Authority can

grow. We're given a measure of authority and power at salvation, but as

we grow closer to the Lord, we become more trustworthy. So hence authority

equates to responsibility. And I'll add this, you'll never ever mark my words,

you'll never be given more authority than what you're willing to submit under.

And I'm not saying abuse of authority. I'm not talking about past horrible teachings

of the Shepherding movement and stuff like that that got really far off. But

I'm talking about the authority structure that God has set. We cannot vile au

violate authority and think we're not actually sinning against God. Just like we're commanded

to pray for our leaders over us that we might live a peaceful life.

That means, no matter who's in that office, you pray for them.

You pray that God touches them. If they don't know God, you pray

they get saved. You pray that they rule righteously, that they administer justice.

We know that Satan lost his authority, but not his power. Luke

four. Go here, verse five to seven. So just so you know,

it says back in verse one, it says in Jesus full of the

Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the

wilderness. Now who would be happy about that? It's like, there's this

mountaintop moment you're feeling full of the Holy Spirit. He's like, all right,

time to go in the wilderness for forty days, and you're gonna deal

with Satan. I have news for you. There's no one in this room

that has had to deal with Satan himself. He is not omniscient, he

is not omnipresent, he is not omnipotent all those fancy words. He's not

everywhere at once. He's not all powerful and not all knowing. You've dealt

with his minions, that's it. He is way too busy dealing with other

things than so don't get too flattered. Okay, just stay stay, stay

grounded. But it says Jesus full the Holy Spirit returned from the Jordan,

was led by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days being tempted by the

devil. Y'all think you had a bad day, how would you like forty

days of Satan himself coming at you and he ate nothing during those days.

By the way, the word for fast actually means to put your hand over

your mouth. So when you're like, oh, I did a twenty one

day Daniel fast, Come on, now, that means pulse that Daniel only

ate all seed bearing food, plant bearing food. I'm not downting Daniel fast.

I've done them. But literally fast means to cover your mouth. I

hate to tell you anybody had a dream why they're fasting they were eating.

I was on a fast. I was on a long fast, and I

woke up all guilty because I was eating pizza and a dream I was like,

it tasted so good, I thought it was real, And so it

says he was hungry. I can tell y'all it's going to take an angelic

visitation for me to go forty days, Mahes shopped. I used to do

two forty day water fast a year and two twenty one day water fast a

year. Son, I mean, Jesus only did one forty day water fast

once as far as we know who. And he goes on to say he

was hungry. The devil said to him, if you're the son of God,

command this stone to become bred. Jesus answered him, it is not.

It is written man should not live by bread alone. And then the

devil took him up and showed him. Now this is where, this is

what I want to point out. Right here, the devil gave him a

vision. You understand, this is actually a vision he gives him in this

moment, it says in the devil took him up and showed him all the

kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. So literally all the kingdoms

flashed before Jesus in a moment. And he said to him, to you,

I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been

delivered to me, and I will give it to whom I will. Was

he lying there, yes, But no he wasn't lying, because who gave

up the authority to him? Right? He was just lying because he knew

if Jesus took the bait, we'd all be jacked, right. That's also

why the Witch of Indoor back when Saul the king, God left him,

and it said that the Lord was no longer speaking to him through dreams or

visions or the prophets or the Urim, the urrom and the thumum, and

he was no longer talking to him. So he disguised himself, went to

Indoor, went to the witch. Has the witch call up Samuel from Abraham's

bosom, and Samuel actually comes forward, and he's irritated. Why because he

had to obey the enemy in that moment and come forward because the enemy still

had the keys to death, hell and the grave that Adam surrendered to him

in Genesis three. Y'all with me, we're doing like a whole school in

forty five minutes. So Romans twelve three says God has dealt to each one

a measure of faith. How many people are like, oh, I need

more faith, I need more faith, and then that can happen. It's

not the quantity of your faith as much as it is the quality of your

faith. The size of your faith may show how much you trust God,

but faith the size of a mustard seed without unbelief will move mountains. So,

in other words, if the purest definition of faith is trust, then

unbelief is nothing more than a magnifying glass on the lack of trust in your

life towards Jesus. Got one amen. That hits, doesn't it. It

hits all of us, me, you, every one of us in here.

So how does your measure of faith affect healing? How does it flow?

I'm glad you asked me. Healing primarily flows through one of three ways,

with a person, the initiator, the receiver, and the all y'all

corporate effect. You'll see, all y'all. Every single person Jesus went to

as an initiator he healed. Jesus never went to anybody to heal them,

and they did not get healed. I have a question, if you're raising

the dead, how much faith does a dead person have? Are you gonna

look spiritual and be like, where's your faith? If they don't get up?

Are you with me? Elijah dies, right, I mean Elijah was

caught up. He's not dead yet. One of the two witnesses by the

way, Enoch and Elijah, because scripture says it's appointed on Amanda wants to

die and face the judgment. They are the only two men written in scripture

that we know have not died yet. And they will come back, and

they will be the two witnesses in the streets of Jerusalem. And now,

because of Wi Fi and technology and all these amazing satellites by Elon Musk,

the entire world will be able to see it for the first time, because

it says the whole world will look upon them laying dead in the streets,

and they'll be excited and give gifts to each other until three days later when

those two witnesses rise up and they breathe fire out of their mouth and at

their command their authority. It doesn't rain, that's coming. Now. That

fires me up. So Mark three one to five and Luke seven is a

great example of it being based on if you go after someone to pray for

them, it's on you. But then there's also the receiver's faith. Luke

seven, go to Luke seven real quick. Remember that is where he heals

a centurion soldier. He goes, nah, look, just say the word.

It's done. He understood the authority of the kingdom and it was attributed

to him as what the greatest faith. He marveled, That means heaven marveled.

Not even all of Israel did he see such faith. And it had

everything to do with authority. Matthew eight is another one Matthew eight one to

three. And when he came down from the mountain, great great crowds followed

him, and behold, the leopard came to him and knelt before him,

saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. Jesus

stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will be clean.

Remember in those days, if you had leprosy, you were an outcast.

You would stand far off and yell out unclean, unclean. And what was

Jesus's response to the lepers he touched them? That was unheard of. Could

you imagine having leprosy and never have been felt human touch potentially, or at

least to the point where you haven't been held, hugged, any physical affection,

and then all of a sudden somebody comes along and they touch you.

Matthew nine, Mark five, Luke eight. These are all scriptures based on

the receiver's faith that the Jesus is literally headed to raise the dead and the

woman with the issue of blood says to herself, if I just touch the

hem of his garment, I'll be healed. And you remember what happens.

She touched them. She instantly felt that twelve year issue of bleeding gone.

Jesus is being pressed by the crowds. People are all over them, and

all of a sudden, he goes, who touched me? Like, what

are you talking about? Everybody's touching you. He goes, no, who

touched me? And she comes fly and he says, your faith has made

you whole. But he felt virtue leave. See this is like three oh

one spirituality right there's you come into the kingdom. You've been to. You

go from melt to the meat. This is the meat of the word.

This is where we're called to walk in spirit and truth. This is where

we're called to actually because of our spiritual sin is and sometimes even gifting,

we feel the unseen. Great example, Ben kneel down, He goes,

can I do something stupid? I was like, I guess, Ben kneel

down in front of me, and I literally felt his spirit touching my feet.

See you think it's only just for the weird prophetic people, but look

at the person next to you and say you're weird and prophetic. You know

why, because the Holy Spirit lives inside of you. The Revelation nineteen ten

says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. God's Moses said,

I wish that all God's people were prophets. Why because in the Old Covenant,

only a select few had the Holy Spirit resting on them, only a

select few. And now every one of you are a new breed, a

new creation, because the Holy Spirit is sealed inside of you and is resting

upon you. And we're looking with natural eyes and not seeing the things that

Jesus did. And we're a brand new creation that he bled and died for,

and we are living way under the price that he paid. So there's

the instigator, the receiver. And remember I said, there's the all,

y'all. Luke five seventeen, he was teaching Pharisees, and teachers of the

law were sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea

and from Jerusalem, and the power of the Lord was with him to heal.

And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was

paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus,

but finding no way to bring him in because of the crowd, they

went up on the roof and let him down in his bed through the tiles

into the midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, all y'all,

when he saw y'all's faith, he said, man, your sins are

forgiven. And the scribes and the pharisees begin to question, saying, who

is this who speaks blasphemies, who can forgive sins? But God, yeah,

Hello, here's your sign in the flesh. But notice there was power

present with him to be healed. You don't think some of those pharisees and

teachers of the law had infirmities, had diseases, and none of them were

healed because they were offended with Jesus. But then you have a group of

crazy guys are like, we're we'll just cut the flip and roof open and

we're getting this guy in there because Jesus will heal them. What if the

Lord responds to your hunger way more than you recognize. What if there's times

or you're just not hungry enough. Do you love me more than these?

What if you actually love these more than him. I'm getting there. Unbelief

stops healing? What Luke five, we see that not a single scribe or

Pharisee was healed. And Mark six we see that no mighty work could be

done because of their unbelief, except that he lay his hands and heal a

few sick. So what did that just tell you? It takes a greater

measure of faith or greater trust to see the miraculous realm versus healing, because

although they're un belief, stop the miraculous realm. Shut it down. Because

God works within those parameters. He submits himself to that, because unbelief is

like kryptonite. Remember, it's impossible to please God if you don't believe he

is God. So you got to come to him in faith, because without

faith, it's impossible to please him. And if faith means trust, that

means you can acknowledge God. But if you don't trust him, that's like

what though the old preacher Sunday said, just because you're in a garage doesn't

mean you're a car. Of course, nowadays there might be people that identify

as cars. Too far. Sorry that was low hanging fruit. I couldn't

pass that one. Oh, I identify, I'm translender, I identify as

being Okay, I'm stopping. Sorry, my dad jokes got a hold of

me and Matthew seventeen fourteen to twenty one. The disciples could not cast out

the demon because of their unbelief. What wait a minute, Remember I told

you all earlier. Don't forget that chapter where he gave the disciples the all

authority over demons and to cure diseases. And all of a sudden, here

they are and they can't cast a demon out, and they're like Jesus,

hey, why couldn't. And remember the guy the Father comes and says,

if you can do anything, if Jesus is like, if all things are

possible, for those who believe, are those who trust all things. The

greatest illustration I've ever seen of faith is this. I got this when I

was old. Baptist. Boy. You got two big old buildings and a

tightrope. And the guy's on a platform and he goes, hey, how

many people believe I can walk across this tightrope? And everybody's like me,

me, me, So he walks across the tightrope. This is me on

a tightrope goes across the tightrope. Then he goes, hey, how many

people believe I can go across that tightrope blindfolded. Everybody's like, oh,

so he's blindfolded, goes across the tightrope. Am I doing good? Goes

across the tightrope. Then he says, hey, how many people believe I

can go across this tightrope blindfolded with a wheelchair? I mean with a wheelbarrow?

Sorry, with a wheelbarrow people, And everybody's like me, me,

me, And he goes, Okay, then get in. That's trust,

that's faith. It's not sitting in the crowd and saying oh I believe I

believe. It's getting in, Which is what? Which is embracing your cross,

denying yourself daily. He didn't say, just some days when everything's lolly

pops and roses and rainbows. Oh what a beautiful day, I feel like

surrendering. Oh then you get in traffic, or or you're get into an

argument with your spouse, or we haven't been arguing by the way, and

something like that, all of a sudden you're like, so I really got

to bear my cross every day? Ah? Fun, right, all right,

Oh okay, move on. So, oh, let me not pass

this up so they couldn't cast the demon out. Jesus goes, this type

only comes out by prayer and festing. Who was taught that? Who was

told that they were talking about the demon? No, had nothing to do

with the demon, had to do with their unbelo But this type of unbelief

only comes out with prayer and fasting. See Jesus said, my disciples,

how can they fast right now when the bridegroom's with them? But they will

fast later. And I want to tell you, not from a legalistic standpoint,

but from a relational standpoint and a maturation standpoint, that if you never

fast, you will never get rid of all the unbelief that can stop you

dead in your tracks from seeing the kingdom advance period. Well, that went

over like a fart and of spacesuit. I hadn't said that one forever,

Luke? Did I say it two Sundays ago? Oh? I'm sorry,

y'all, Luke eight forty nine to fifty six. We see, Jesus made

all the people with unbelief leave the room. Now, isn't that interesting?

All the people that were mocking him didn't believe. He puts him out of

the room, shuts the door, and that natural room, those natural walls,

where all it took to keep spiritual unbelief out. And then he raised

the dead, and of course Mark six we see that it took more faith

for the miraculous room to happen, and he could only heal a few Luke

eight forty nine to fifty six. We saw that walls stop the unbelief.

If you don't get anything about unbelief, get this unbelief is like kryptonite,

because whether you recognize it or not, you're saying God, I don't believe

you. Now you can get real religious and get full of religious activity and

move in about and doing all this stuff and still not believe him. Here.

I've been doing per ministry for nineteen years now. That's why I'm gray.

It was a ministry. I was voluntld, not volunteered. And I

tell everyone all the time when they come into a session, this session will

goes absolutely as far as you want it to. But God will not violate

your will. And he dances this beautiful dance with us. He doesn't force

himself into our hearts because he's a gentleman. And that's why we see people

moving at all different paces, and he loves them enough to walk that journey

out with them. Okay, I may be eleven minutes late again exactly,

We'll see, all right. So Matthew seventeen fourteen to twenty one see that

unbelief only came out by prayer and fasting. We also see there's more than

one kind of unbelief. In verse twenty one, he said this type.

Many have been under the interpretation that Jesus was talking about the demon and not

the unbelief. Jesus didn't tell the guy, hey, hold on, stay

demonized. I'm gonna go pray and fast. I'll see you in twenty one

days hanging there by. They didn't do that, did he. Faith of

a mustard seed without unbelief can literally move a mountain. So we see that

it's impossible to be totally free from unbelief without prayer and fasting. If you

do not fast, you will never completely get free of unbelief. Sorry,

has nothing to do with salvation, has nothing to do with you going to

heaven. But it has everything to do with how much of the kingdom you'll

see advance. Now. What I did not just say was every one of

you need to go fast tomorrow. It's relationship, not legalism. Right,

you stay sensitive to the Lord. We rarely call corporate fasts faths. That's

faith and fast at the same time. But we do it when we really

feel called by the Lord. Matthew six sixteen says when you fast, not

if fasting helps us step into a new wine skin. Just so you know,

there are two types of unbelief, two different words. One's translated unbelief

and the other one is always translated disobedience. The disciples unbelief in Matthew seventeen

was not dis It was unbelief, but not disobedience. They were ignorant of

it. Kind of like when Paul said he received mercy when he was kill

killing the church, killing Christians, and he literally thought he was doing God

what a favor. He was zealous, but without the right knowledge. Okay,

last two parts. When everyone does not get healed, and this is

the part where we can get stuck. This is the tension when you go

after healing, when you pray for someone and you don't see it happen.

The temptation is for us to allow our circumstances to tell us what to believe

about God instead of his word. That's the temptation in that moment. So

I'm going to give you six key insights real quick. John five. He

told the guy now go and sin no more because his sickness was directly tied

to the issue of sin in his life. And the Lord healed him and

had mercy. But it was sin in his life that opened him up to

that sickness. Now that's not always the case for every single person. And

John nine one to three, it was not time for his glory to be

revealed. Now, I want to say something that's really tough. But the

man that was lame at the pool of Bethesda, how many people were there

around that pool lame and Jesus went to him. Now that does not mean

he didn't love or care about the other ones. But for whatever reason,

in that moment, with this issue of the mystery of healing, he healed

him. They may not been ready, they may have been offended. They

may have said, in this the carpenter's son, who's this guy? Luke

five seventeen to twenty six. No inner desire towards God. That's what we

saw with the Pharisees and the Sadducees, Mark eleven. The issue of forgiveness,

whether you like it or not. It says, if you don't forgive,

you're not forgiven. Hey, I tell people all the time, only

forgive to the degree I want to be forgiven. Here we go, husbands.

Streebeck did a great job with challenging all the men. I see a

few empty seats this week compared to last week, so some of those guys

may have been offended just playing. But one Peter three seven. You find

God acting as a witness between the person and his spouse, not honoring our

wives literally, says even in the New Covenant, have you deal treacherously with

your wife? Why wife? Not wives? Only one wife? First service

I said wives. I'm like, oh wait a minute, I gotta clear

that up. I only have one. He acts as a witness and it

hinders your prayers. Maybe you've been praying for something for a long time,

but you're a butt head to your wife. Maybe that's why your prayer didn't

get answered. Don't argue with me. It's scripture first Peter three seven,

and the last one they did not respond at the time of the Holy Spirit

is moving John five one to nine. See we have a tendency to think

that we're just gonna choose God when we feel like it, and says unless

the Father draws, no one can come. I tell people all the time,

don't miss your visitation. The Holy Spirit's hovering and moving over you.

Don't harden your heart, surrender, let him touch you, let him transform

you. Okay, I'm landing the plane, and this is all based out

of Paul's life in his journeys. We're gonna take his entire life and cram

it into three minutes for healing. Are you ready? Okay? Galatians four

thirteen and fourteen. You know that because of physical infirmity, I preached the

Gospel to you at the first and my trial, which was in my flesh.

You did not despise, reject, but you received me as an Angel

of God, even as Christ Jesus. So Paul literally preached the gospel minister

to them first because of his physical infirmity. Next Sewo Timothy four nineteen to

twenty uh, he says, greet Prisca Aquilla, household of one Sepphoris,

all these other names that you need to speak in tongues with and stayed in

Corinth. But trothemus I left in Meltus sick. Paul had to leave his

companion sick behind on his missionary journey. You don't think Paul prayed for him.

You don't think Paul had already seen amazing things. Hello, people,

Paul was taught face to face by the risen Lord Jesus. Paul had a

thorn in his flesh because of the great many revelations he received. Paul had

spent time in the throne room the Third Heaven. You don't think he had

faith? And yet in that moment, there's a mystery there because he leaves

this guy behind sick. Did Paul pack up all of his toys and get

mad at Jesus and say I'm done? No, he prayed, believed,

and left the results and the question mark of mystery to the Lord. A

couple more and that's it. Three more Philippians two twenty five to thirty.

Yet I consider it necessary to send to you apparatus. And I may not

have said that right, but get over it, my brother, fellow worker

and fellow soldier. But your mess but your messenger, and the one who

ministered to my need, since he was longing for you all and was distressed

because you'd heard he was sick. For indeed he was sick, almost unto

death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him,

but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. Therefore I

sent him the more eagerly, that when you see him again, you may

rejoice, and I may be less sorrowful. Receive him therefore in the Lord

with all gladness, and hold such men in esteem. Because of the work

of Christ. He came close to death, not regarding his life to supply

what was lacking in your service towards me, So Paul saying, he got

sick, almost died, But it was because of his pursuit of the Gospel

of the Kingdom, and he's worth honor. Ben, this one's for you,

for Timothy five twenty three. No longer drink only water, but use

a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities. You don't have

infirmities. It was for those of you here last week when he was talking

about the issue of water and wine and all that. Now I'm landing,

I can hear the tires hit the concrete. Last Scripture, Acts twenty eight,

eight to nine. Now keep in mind. Paul is going like we

literally just went from years of his missionary journeys in those few little snapshots of

scripture of him personally dealing with praying for people that have been sick. Literally

leaves one behind, another one almost dies, and he's not seeing everyone get

sick. But yet he does not change his mind on the issue of can

God heal? Does God desire to heal? And does he want to heal

through me? It's clear he keeps pursuing all of this and because of his

perseverance with this Acts twenty eight eight to nine, And it happened that the

father of a Publis lay sick of a fever and dysentery. Paul went into

him and prayed, He laid his hands on him and healed him. So

this guy gets healed instantly from the fever and dysentery. So when this was

done, the rest of those on the island who had disease also came and

were healed. So Paul turns around, and if he would have gotten stuck

back in Philippians too, or if he would have gotten stuck in two Timothy

in his journey where he has to leave this guy sick and then decides to

let his circumstances give him new theology, and he quits praying for people to

get healed. Then, in Acts twenty eight, all of a sudden,

the entire island is healed, and he never would have saw it. He

never would have saw it. We have to pursue the kingdom. We have

to pursue the yes because he said to. We have to believe that he

wants us to live a life the way he did, and he wants us

to do even greater things because it brings glory to him. But if you

allow your maturation process to be the Holy Spirit, you will stop growing,

You will stop maturing, and you will shipwreck your faith, and you will

no longer allow his word to be the plumb line of your life. It

will be your experience. And then you're no different than the world saying,

well, that doesn't feel true to me. What may be true to me

isn't true to you. There's no absolute truth. I'm like, we are

you absolutely positive about that? Yes? Well, how can you be if

there's no absolute truth? All right, y'all stand up if you would,

so, who's ready to keep pursuing to see people healed? In Jesus' name.

Andrea's gone, Wayne's gone. Bring me a maestro, bring me a

musician. Can you can I know I figured it he'd come. Can you

unmute the keys please? And if the prayer team could come forward now I

want to do something. I know it's one thirteen, but if you're fighting

infirmity or sickness this morning, I want you to come forward for prayer.

I don't care if you've prayed a hundred times that man laid lane by the

pool for years. I want to activate this teaching this morning. I want

to see you activate your faith. So I'll right now, in this moment,

I want to invite you forward. If there's something you need healing over.

Remember this issue of healing is plural. It's gifts of healing. You

may need a healing of a wound. You may need a physical healing.

You may need deliverance from oppression and trusive thoughts. What if Jesus this morning

is saying, according to your faith, let it be? Where is your

faith? Where's your trust? So, Father and the mighty name of Jesus,

Lord, would you look upon your kids? Lord? Would you bring

healing? Jesus, would you stretch forth your arm and healing signs and wonders

and deliverance. Lord, would you bring healing over spirit, soul and body

this morning? Father, Would you just begin to hover over these folks and

do it only you can do. Lord, for your name's sake, Lord,

would you cause an explosion of your presence and your kingdom this morning?

Father, I thank you that faith comes by hearing and hearing by your word.

I thank you that you have not changed your mind on your kingdom or

the gospel. So, Father, right now, every intrusive thought, Lord,

we take authority over it. We silence it. In Jesus' name,

we declare deliverance over those that need deliverance this morning. Lord, would you

grant repentance, the gift of repentance, Lord, to those that need to

repent this morning? Would you grant healing to those that need healing this morning?

Would you begin to move in a mighty way of this morning? Lord?

And I just declare to PTSD you have no room in this house.

In Jesus' name, I declare healing and deliverance from trauma, from rejection,

from addiction. And I break the lie that some of you are losing your

minds right now, and I command those intrusive thoughts, the spirit of insanity

to loose off minds right now. In Jesus' name, Lord, would you

open ears this morning, and the mighty name of Jesus, would you open

ears this morning in Jesus' name. Lord, bring healing over arthritis this morning,

over back pain. And Lord, would you break the fear of man

off of this house this morning. Lord, So many people have been so

intimidated to pray for other people because they might get offended. Lord, break

fear and bring empowerment your spirit over this house. Lord, whose legs are

tingling? That's you, so holy spirit, double what you're doing this morning.

Lord. There's some people that just really need an encounter with you,

Jesus. There's some people that literally just need to taste and see that the

Lord is good. Lord, I asked that you would dissolve metal this morning,

specifically pins. I saw a wrist that like had pins in it.

Somebody break their wrist and had to have reconstruction surgery over your wrist? You

is there metal? You got metal? Okay? So Lord, dissolve the

metal. In Jesus' name, Lord, would you open ears up this morning

physically and spiritually. Lord, break every resistance, all infirmity. Lord,

and we just command ears to open this morning in the mighty name of Jesus

It's Father. I thank you for your word this morning. Lord, I

thank you for your presence. Lord. Keep pursuing us, Lord, keep

pursuing us. Lord. We say, just like the Father, we believe.

Help our unbelief, Lord, because all things are possible for those who

believe. Father, I pray that we would be in a company of people

that literally literally believes all, not some, not this category versus that category,

but that all things are possible for those who believe. That we would

once again have a childlike faith, that our sense of innocence and wonder would

be restored in you that Jesus' name. Thank you for listening. For more
