You're listening to the Cross Kingdom de Sermon of the Week.
-
We helped you enjoyed this message from.
-
Justin Carpenter.
-
This past Monday.
-
I didn't I didn't mention this first service, I guess,
-
But this past Monday I sat burdened most of the
-
day and could not shake it in a way that
-
I've I don't know that I've been burdened before.
-
And uh, there are.
-
There is and it won't be the only one, obviously,
-
but there there is a there's a global shakening that.
-
Is really close.
-
And I've been asking the Lord to give me insight
-
because I want to be able to prepare the body
-
as I can. But I just could not shake the
-
weight of what's coming this past Monday. And you know,
-
my primary job, and I've said this before, is to
-
feed and lead. That's my primary job. I will give
-
an account to the Lord Jesus for how I fed
-
you and how I led you. That's what I will
-
give an account. As a shepherd. I will have to
-
give an account to him if I spoke truth or
-
if I watered it down. I will have to give
-
an account whether I chose the fear of the Lord
-
or the fear of man, and in this hour of
-
watching so much shake and shake and bake, and with
-
all this stuff happening, it's like, you know, I want
-
to encourage y'all to take the time examine your lives,
-
Examine where you're at with the Lord, Examine where you
-
want to be with him the I think it's pretty
-
clear the closer we get to twenty thirty, there's going
-
to be significant changes. Many people believe as far as
-
the prophetic timeline. You know, Israel became a nation in
-
nineteen sixty seven, and seventy years is twenty thirty seven.
-
Back off seven years is twenty thirty and now again
-
that that's getting into eschatology, and many of you are
-
going to have different perspectives on that. But I can
-
tell you that twenty twenty was a change, not just
-
a season. You know, we use all these fancy oh
-
it's a season, and oh it's the time. No, this
-
was a global shift on the prophetic timeline of history,
-
and I think the closer we get to the end
-
of this decade, we can expect to see more of
-
those global shifts. I think the escalations in Israel right now.
-
Are going to.
-
Continue to escalate and ultimately with the culmination of the
-
war of Gog and Magog.
-
Think about this.
-
No time in history have we been able to have
-
the entire world look upon the two witnesses, because Biblically
-
it says that they will lay in the streets dead
-
for three days, the two prophets, and then the world
-
will exchange gifts. Here's another one, mystery, the Mystery of Babylon.
-
Mystery Babylon is not the United States. Mystery Babylon is
-
not Mystery Babylon with literal borders. And one thing it
-
says about Mystery Babylon in Revelation is that it talks
-
about the nations partook of her sorcery. The Greek word
-
for sorcery is pharmakaya. When did we see the nations
-
partake all the nations partake of Pharmachael. Now that I
-
have your attention and you're wondering, where is he going?
-
Or am I against doctors? No, But you have to
-
have eyes to see and ears to hear in this hour.
-
What if God's intentionally offending you and it's not the
-
enemy right now? What if God's offending you to expose
-
you strongholds.
-
And it's actually not the enemy.
-
What if half the crushing you're going through right now
-
in your life and the shakings actually has nothing to
-
do with the enemy, And it's the hand of the Lord. Perspective, perspective,
-
right pen take his shoes off Luke nine twenty three.
-
And he said to all, if anyone would come after me,
-
let him deny himself and take up his cross sometimes,
-
and every once in a while follow me.
-
That was the Nearly Inspired version, not the NIV.
-
Now it says, deny himself, take up his cross daily
-
and follow me.
-
So what is the way into the kingdom? The cross.
-
Is What is the key today?
-
The intimacy with Jesus? What do you what do you
-
start with every morning?
-
Daily?
-
Take up your cross?
-
It's it's not supposed to be optional. We don't wake
-
up on Tuesday morning be like Jesus, Oh what a
-
good morning. Wednesday, I'm hanging the cross up, changing shirts.
-
That's not how it's supposed to be. There's a scripture
-
it says that if you faint running with men, how
-
are you gonna run with the horses? And I want
-
to let you know, in this hour of your fainting
-
running with men, you're not gonna run with the horses
-
and the season to come. Somebody's clapping, some one person's excited.
-
All right, I actually am gonna talk to you not
-
about the end times, but the cost.
-
Of the anointing versus gifts.
-
I didn't get very far this morning first service, but
-
I plan on getting further this time.
-
He all seems so excited about that.
-
Over the next three and a half hours, we're gonna
-
unpack this teaching, and you'all are going to be so excited.
-
If you're visiting. That is a joke. Just relax.
-
What was what was? I?
-
I love your shirt, David. Won't you stand up show
-
by your shirt?
-
Huh? I mean I just when I look at that shirt,
-
I just want to have a vision non chemically induced,
-
you know what I mean. Let me put that in quotations. J'ell,
-
that shirt's groovy, okay. Luke nine sixty two, I start
-
this stuff and then you all start going, I'm like, oh,
-
I shouldn't have done that, Luke nine sixty two. Jesus
-
said to him, no one who puts his hand to
-
the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom
-
of God'll.
-
You do realize.
-
Jesus said, some might drop hard truths. So the way
-
into the Kingdom is the cross. The only way to
-
walk with him is to deny yourself. And if you
-
put your hand to the plow and say, let's go, Lord,
-
and then you look back, you might be suffering from
-
the spirit of Egypt, where somehow you've fallen under deception,
-
believing that the fruit in slavery was better than the
-
fruit and freedom. The enemy wants to convince you that
-
going backwards is going to give you what you want.
-
And the Lord says, if you put your hand to
-
the plow and you're following me and you look back,
-
you're not fit for the kingdom. Because remember the word
-
for repentance, the pictograph meaning of that word repentance actually
-
means to burn the house down, burn down what you
-
were abiding in that nothing is left but ashes. So
-
if we start in the kingdom with denying self daily.
-
And we're not.
-
Supposed to look back, can you I seem like I'm
-
in a Does it sound okay?
-
Out there? Sounds weird up here? It sounds like.
-
I'm like in a room, Like obviously I'm in a room.
-
I was fixing that before y'all did never mind? Okay?
-
For this is starting really good. For first, John two
-
twenty six to twenty seven. I write these things to
-
you about those who are trying to deceive you. You
-
know what I love Just a little side note for
-
those that are trying to deceive you. You all been
-
watching those videos on social media lately where it takes
-
all of the main networks Fox and CNN and NBC
-
and ms B, and it's and and it literally shows
-
you that they're all saying the exact same sound bites.
-
That is called mind control. If you're wondering what that is,
-
and that and that that that is conditioning the masses. Remember,
-
the enemy is the principality of the what of the air,
-
of the airwaves. So I have great news.
-
You don't have to be deceived. Number one of you're
-
like me If.
-
I start watching the news, especially like the debates, I
-
something happens to pastor Justin and it's like I lose
-
the I start to find myself yelling at my cell
-
phone and I'm like, this is not profitable. It's disturbing
-
my dinner when I'm eating a steak or something. But
-
he says, I write these things to you about those
-
who are trying to deceive you. But the anointing that
-
you receive from Him abides in you, and you have
-
no need that anyone should teach you, but as His
-
anointing teaches you about everything and is true and is
-
no lie, just as it is taught you, abiden him.
-
I shared this this morning. I think I may have
-
said the wrong date on my hand, but some years ago,
-
twenty ten, twenty eleven time frame, I had this dream,
-
and this was when Micah was not six foot two.
-
Back then, Micah was you were actually taking like two
-
and a half hour naps daily.
-
It was glorious. I was.
-
I was.
-
I was a stay at home dad.
-
So come on, moms and any of you stay at home,
-
Like if you side note, men, if you come home
-
and ask your stay at home wife who's taking care
-
of all their kids, what'd you do today, don't be
-
surprised if she wants to give you the left foot
-
of fellowship. I would rather be doing what I do
-
than to be at home with all my kids. It's well,
-
I don't mean that in a bad way, but I'm saying, man,
-
I can't get away with nothing this morning. What I'm
-
saying is I stay at home mom is a full
-
time job. And if you're a stay at home mom,
-
you don't need to have shame or like, well, I'm
-
just a stay at home No, we need y'all, like
-
we need you raising your kids in the fear of
-
the Lord and the ways of God. All Right, I
-
can't read it true anyways, so you get the picture.
-
I'm a stay at home dad.
-
During this time, I'm having these glorious quiet times with
-
the Lord for two to three hours undisturbed.
-
Sorry, I was going back and oh, keep them on
-
the plow.
-
And during this time I was really pressing into the Lord.
-
I was having a lot of spiritual encounters. It was
-
just a season of encounters. And I was very conscious
-
about not getting deceived, to the point where I was
-
worried about it, Like I was having anxiety about not
-
wanting to be deceived. And I went to bed one
-
night and the Lord give me a dream. I found
-
myself in Gold's Gym. Used to work at a Golden
-
gym growing up, and the owner was John. So John's
-
there behind the desk, and the whole room is white,
-
white countertops, white shelves, protein metrics, protein powder, on the back,
-
and I remember all this, and I was getting a
-
day pass in the dream. And when I went to
-
put my hand out, I had two twenty five stamped
-
on my hand. And I was like, oh, no, they're
-
going to know I didn't shower because I knew in
-
the dream it was two twenty six. And I look
-
around and the dream ends. And if you don't know
-
what that means, you're dull.
-
Moving on.
-
No.
-
Bob Jones used to say that a lot.
-
He'd give all these cryptic, parabolic words and they'd be like,
-
if you don't know what that means, you're dull. I'm like,
-
I guess we're all dull.
-
But John represented the Book of jo.
-
And I knew the date stamped on my hand, and
-
the date that I knew it was in my dream
-
was scripture. So I go to the Book of John.
-
I'm going to chapter two, and I don't see anything.
-
Is it that bad?
-
I don't see like it, you know, the witness of
-
the Holy Spirit not happening. So I go to first
-
John and I start reading, and I write these things
-
to you about those who are trying to deceive you.
-
But the anointing that you received from him abides in you,
-
and all that fear melted away. The Lord's like, I've
-
got you. The anointed One is in you, and that's
-
the way the Lord chose to deal with that situation
-
with me. And you know, we hear a lot about gifting.
-
We hear lots about the Fivefold ministry, lots about the Kingdom.
-
I don't know how much we hear about the anointing
-
and how the anointing is actually separate from your gift,
-
although it works with your gift, yet it's separate.
-
And we find ourselves in a season where.
-
You're recognizing there was a whole bunch of leaders around
-
you in the Body of Christ that have been operating
-
in a gift without the anointing for some time. Why
-
do we know this because they were in sin. And
-
the quickest way to quench the anointing on your life
-
is to go into sin.
-
One of the.
-
Dangerous things is that your gift is always going to
-
work no matter who you are. The gifts and callings
-
are irrevocable, and your gifts will work even if you're
-
in sin. Paul Cain was one of the most anointed
-
at one point, one of the most anointed prophets and
-
could prophisy crazy details. I mean he'd just start calling
-
people out and I mean just crazy detailed personal words.
-
And yet Paul found himself in a homosexual lifestyle and
-
an alcoholic and never repented even in the end. It
-
was so bad that he had a security guard at
-
his door at morning Star where he passed away, because
-
if young men got by him, he would try to
-
put the moves on them. And yet Paul Kine could
-
still prophesy. Now did his did his effects on what
-
he was doing diminish some? Yeah, it wasn't, It wasn't
-
at the peak, but he still had a gift.
-
Think about think about.
-
The things that are happening right now. How many of
-
us were absolutely blown away, shot like when we found
-
out what happened with Robbie Zachariah. See what's happening is
-
these men are being exposed and they've become yesterday's man.
-
The anointing is lifted, and they continued to operate in
-
a gift, and very few of us knew the difference.
-
That should not be.
-
The Greek word for anointing is chrisma, not charisma.
-
The latter's a different word. Although the two words look
-
and sound alike.
-
Charisma comes from the root word creo or cryo, from
-
which we get Christ, the anointed One. The word cryo
-
contains the idea of smearing, as with annointment. So the
-
anoint One is in you. He's smeared in you, because
-
that's it has to do with the smearing with the anointing.
-
There's another word charismata, which means grace or gift. This
-
is the word used for the gifts of the Holy
-
Spirit and First Grinthians twelve, for example, Believe it or not,
-
you can also have the chrismata without the anointing.
-
In RT.
-
Kendall's book Pigeon Religion, which is a great book if
-
you haven't read it, Holy Spirit is that you and
-
Chapter four uses the word anointing in three ways. First,
-
the anointing is enjoying God's manifest approval, that unconditional affection
-
of the Father that you really only fully experience when
-
you stop living as an orphan and actually live as
-
a son or daughter. This is what King Saul lost,
-
even though he remained king. This sense of the anointing
-
is when you please God. It is when you're conscious
-
of his presence, his pleasure and communication with you. It
-
is what provides insight, presence of mind, wisdom, and clear thinking. Secondly,
-
the anointing is that which flows with.
-
Ease in a person. You don't have to work it up.
-
It comes easily. If I go outside of my anoining,
-
I struggle.
-
When you start struggling, it's because you're pushing out of
-
your metron. And when you come out of your place
-
of God given influence and step into somebody else's influence,
-
you just violated the issue of authority and honor.
-
It's like bumper cars. Oh sorry about that, buddy.
-
Sh boom, because that's what we see half the time
-
the church.
-
That's my lane.
-
You get out of there, boom boom, and we got
-
all this wreckage and carnage. Because there is no value
-
in Christ the anointed One in others.
-
Only Christ, the anointed One in me. And that's all
-
that matters.
-
When I stay within my anointing, my gift functions with ease. Therefore,
-
when the anointing flourishes, one exercises his or her gift
-
without stress or effort. But let that anointing diminish, and
-
one will struggle and have to work hard or hear
-
whatever it took to get you into that place, it's
-
going to take to keep you in that place. So
-
if you force yourself into somebody else's lane because you
-
know you're absalom. Oh, if only I were king, Only,
-
if I were king, I would bring you justice. Oh
-
only if I were king, only if I were the
-
senior leader, all of these things wouldn't be happening. I
-
would fix all of them for you, because I am
-
God's gift. No, no one has said that in here.
-
Just so if you're wondering illustration, but let that anointing
-
diminish in the one will struggle and have to work hard. Third,
-
the word anointing can sometimes be used interchangeably with one's
-
ability or gift.
-
To return to his.
-
Point, there's a sense in which you can have charisma,
-
a striking personality, and the chrismata a grace gift without
-
the chrisma the anointing. Why do you think God is
-
judging the celebrity minister in America right now? He's dealing
-
with the big personality and people finding their identity in
-
a gift. You know, it's dangerous if you actually judge
-
your closeness to the Father based on how you're operating
-
in your gift.
-
It's deception.
-
Because you will go down a road thinking God loves
-
you and approves of everything you're doing, because he's moving
-
through you.
-
He moves in spite of us.
-
King Saul lost God's approval, but strange as it may seem,
-
he retained his chrismata.
-
He was turned into a different person.
-
The Bible says God gave him another heart, and he
-
was given the gift of prophecy.
-
In first Samuel ten nine and ten people were in all.
-
They said, is Saul among the prophets? And one Samuel
-
ten eleven. Some time later, after young David had become
-
such a threat to Saul, Saul sought to kill David.
-
On his way to kill David, Saul began to prophesy
-
again for Samuel nineteen twenty three to twenty four.
-
Are y'all with me? Saul?
-
For how many times in a row? Breaks his word
-
with David. He's going to kill David, And he comes
-
up the mountain he gets by the sons of the prophets.
-
The spirit of prophecy is there. He starts prophesying with
-
murder in his heart, and everyone around him could have
-
been like, oh wow, look Saul's prophesying again. And Saul's
-
intention to go up that mountain had nothing to do
-
with encouraging the church. He looks at Jonathan, you son
-
of a perverse.
-
Mother. You gotta be careful with that scripture.
-
So I almost got tongue tied, and that would go viral.
-
I don't need that, and he says that he goes,
-
do you not know, as long as David is alive,
-
you'll never have the kingdom. He's literally headed to kill David,
-
and he prophesies, Now, you can get mad with the Lord,
-
But a man with murder in his heart, his gift
-
was still working. But Jim Rohan had a great statement,
-
when you get your own universe, you can do what
-
you want, until.
-
Then you're a guest Luke eight ten.
-
Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle
-
and all that was in it, and consecrated them. And
-
then in Luke, I'm sorry. Leviticus twenty one ten to twelve.
-
The priest who is chief among his brothers, on whose
-
head the anointing oil is poured, and who has been
-
consecrated to wear the garment, shall not let the hair
-
of his head hang loose, nor tear his clothes. He
-
shall not go into it like Kulkogan.
-
You know what I mean.
-
He shall not go into any dead bodies, nor make
-
himself unclean, even for his father or mother. He shall
-
not go outside of the sanctuary, lest he profane the
-
sanctuary of his God, for the consecration of the anointing
-
oil of his God is on him.
-
The consecration.
-
You want to carry a heavy anointing, then you better
-
make sure that your life is consecrated. Isaiah ten twenty seven.
-
It shall come to pass that day that his burden
-
will be taken away from his shoulder, and his yoke
-
from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed by
-
your gift. No, it says in the yoke will be
-
destroyed because of the anointing oil. So it's the anointing
-
that breaks the yoke, not your gift. That's why we
-
can sit in a meeting and people get healed and
-
stay demonized, and the demons don't care that those people
-
are getting healed. They care whether or not they're going
-
to have to leave that person. And it's the anointing
-
that breaks the yoke. It's the authority of the Lord
-
that deals.
-
With the demonic.
-
They were very clear they didn't care. They weren't concerned
-
about power. Over and over and over through the gospels.
-
They were afraid of.
-
Jesus because of the authority that he walked in.
-
That's not a demon These lights are on at least
-
I don't think it is.
-
From everybody.
-
We got a wild bunch around here, Judge Is fourteen six.
-
Then the spirit of the Lord rushed upon him, and
-
although he had nothing in his hand, he tore the
-
lion in peace, as one tears a young goat.
-
But he did not.
-
Tell his father or his mother what he had done. See,
-
the anointing is coincides with the Holy Spirit, over and
-
over and over. When it says in the spirit of
-
the Lord rushed upon him, the spirit of the Lord
-
came upon him, The hand of the Lord came upon him.
-
The anointing is the Holy Spirit. It comes from him.
-
It's not apart from him. You have internal anointing and
-
you have corporate anointing. And you need to understand the
-
difference between the anointing. How to get fresh oil versus
-
just simply the operation of your gift and not fall
-
prey to the fact that because you just prophesied over
-
someone or you just prayed for someone and they got healed,
-
to think that sometime that somehow God has stamped his
-
approval on your character. Y'all, we have not gotten it
-
in the charismatic movement very well on that we have
-
like we still have a tendency to make excuses for
-
the lack of character.
-
When we see someone with a gift.
-
We've had decades of leaders taking restoration processes and accelerating
-
them simply because they think this man's gift must be
-
restored back into the body of Christ. And then that leader,
-
because repentance doesn't have time to work thoroughly through their
-
life and the crushing does not happen to their life,
-
then they end up repeating their sins. Remember God, he's
-
not impressed with your gift. He gave it to you,
-
And there's not a single person in this room, including me,
-
that God can't move without. People are getting saved all
-
over the East right now, without you, without the body
-
of Christ. Because Jesus himself is showing up to Muslims
-
all over the place, and dreams and visions and visitations
-
and over and over there is a theme in the
-
East where they when they come and they actually try
-
to talk them out of giving their lives to Jesus
-
because they're like, do you understand what this is going
-
to mean.
-
You're probably gonna.
-
Die if your household gets saved, They're probably going to
-
be martyred. Do you understand that? And over and over
-
and over, testimony after testimony, these Muslims Ishmael's sons.
-
Say, but have you seen his eyes?
-
All it took was have you seen his eyes? Because
-
they had a literal visitation from the Lord, and that's
-
all it took for them to say, I'm taking up
-
my cross daily, I'm putting my hands to the plow.
-
I'm not looking back. I'm looking into your eyes.
-
Today.
-
There are many who have lost God's anointing on their
-
life and are operating out of their gifting and own
-
ability given by God at birth. But to many of
-
us in the Church, we've not been able to discern
-
the difference. As exposures are happening today. Yesterday's man is
-
being exposed Romans eleven, twenty nine. The gifts and calling
-
of God are irrevocable. The anointing is very costly, and
-
very few pay the price for a high level of
-
anointing because they refuse to go through the crushing of
-
the Holy Spirit which produces the flow of the oil
-
in their life. Not only that, when I when I
-
might add that when it says that the anointing is costly.
-
There there is a line somewhere where when people around you.
-
Begin to perceive what you say in.
-
How you live to be the very words and actions
-
of the Lord. When you cross that line, ask Moses,
-
what can happen? See Moses and the old Covenant.
-
You were driving me crazy. Stop it. I wasn't yelling
-
at you, Carrie. I'm talking to the light bulb. Moses.
-
The Lord said, speak to the rock. He hit the rock.
-
No Romisland.
-
Why there's two principles people don't realize number one and
-
numbers twelve six. It says, if there is a prophet
-
among you, I will speak to him through dreams. I
-
will make myself known to him through visions. And it
-
goes on to say, but not my servant Moses to him,
-
I speak face to face, mouth to mouth. The level
-
of intimacy that Moses was granted, or I should say,
-
the level of access to the Creator that he was granted,
-
meant that there was a much higher price to pay.
-
Not many of you should perceive or desire to be teachers.
-
Why because you go from this long of a chain
-
to a choker chain. Ask my wife, I'll get away
-
with nothing. I can think about being stupid, and something happens.
-
I'm like, ah, I was just thinking about that. Have
-
I ever I can't. I can't get away with anything.
-
One Sunday morning, we're headed to church. I've been telling
-
my wife, you can drive five miles an hour over
-
the speed limit all the time, plug your ears, pres
-
and uh. And I was like, they won't pull you
-
over going five over. This was years ago, sir, years ago,
-
And we're literally headed to Impact church where we were
-
going to church. I'm doing sixty and a fifty five
-
and it was not the fourth of July.
-
I look back and there's all these lights behind me.
-
I pull over.
-
He goes, where are you headed church? And I said,
-
I'm on the worship team. I was on the prayer
-
team or something. Was like, I'm running late, I gotta
-
go pray. And my beautiful bride says, officer, would you
-
please tell my husband that you cannot go five miles
-
an hour over the speed limit and that all will
-
let you go, and you know you won't give.
-
Him a ticket. I'm like, you are not helping us
-
right now. I don't.
-
I don't know if Micah was old enough to remember that. Yes, sir,
-
so now listen, that was one state trooper. Mm hmm,
-
he get he he he gave me a warning. That's
-
called mercy because my wife was on his side.
-
Mhmm.
-
We're one, my little helper.
-
Too many times we blame the hand of the enemy
-
for the Holy spirits crushing in our life because we
-
can't discern the difference.
-
Artist says, that's when you got pigeon religion.
-
Saul was afraid of David because the Lord was with
-
him but had departed from Saul. How do we know
-
this for Samuel twenty six to six. I'm sorry for
-
Samuel twenty eight six. And when Saul inquired of the Lord,
-
the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or
-
by urim or by prophets.
-
Anybody wondering what a urim is?
-
The uram are the epod is the theumum in the
-
I gotta get out of the spot the uram, And
-
so they would inquire of the Lord and the stones.
-
The two stones.
-
Would light up almost like yes or no. The Lord
-
would light these stones up, and that was the epod.
-
So remember when David he's in Ziglag, everything gets taken,
-
and it says in David's strengthened himself and the Lord
-
and then.
-
Inquired of the Lord.
-
He grabbed the epod and said, Lord, do we go after?
-
Will we overcome? Will we get everything back? And the
-
Lord says yes. Now I don't have all the details
-
of you know, like Simon says, if it was red, no,
-
and you know, but what's interesting if you look at
-
those two stones, and then you look at the two
-
stones in Revelation in the Throne room, and then you
-
understand that Lucifer walked in the midst of the fiery stones,
-
you actually begin to understand that the two stones actually
-
represent the Holy Spirit in the sun, and so Lucifer
-
was actually communing in the midst of the Godhead in
-
the throne.
-
Y'all with me.
-
It's just like if you study the twelve Stones of Israel.
-
You look at those twelve stones, you look at the
-
characteristics of each sun, and you actually begin to get
-
definition of that color God is light, and him is
-
no darkness. He is literally light radiates light. You radiate light.
-
And he says, but if that light that's in you
-
is dark, how great is that darkness? Because now instead
-
of your spirit radiating white light, your soul is ruling
-
and you're producing dark light. Twenty four hues of colors,
-
twenty four elders around a throne, are.
-
Y' all with me? Isaiah eleven?
-
The seven spirits of God, the rainbow which with all
-
seven colors produces white light.
-
The LGBT rainbow is six colors.
-
Did you know that it's not the full spectrum of
-
the full rainbow. Remember the enemy is King Xerox. He's
-
never had an original thought in his life.
-
He's a copy.
-
He wants to try to take the seven spirits of God.
-
Because if you actually take the full rainbow in those
-
seven colors and align them with Isaiah eleven, you begin
-
to get definition to the seven spirits through color. And
-
that's why we know. Wisdom is red, Purple is authority,
-
the fear of the Lord. Okay an they're teaching. Sorry,
-
I was getting all excited. Judges sixteen twenty to twenty two,
-
and he said, the Philistines are upon or she said,
-
the Philistines are upon you, Samson, And he awoke from
-
his sleep and said, I'll go out as other times
-
and shake myself free. But he did not know that
-
the Lord had left him. He did not know the
-
Lord had left him. It's kind of like, oh, you
-
woke up last night, and you wake up the next
-
day and you sinned yesterday. But yet you run into
-
somebody at the gas station today and you get a
-
word of knowledge for them, and you pray for them,
-
and you see God move and you go, huh, okay,
-
I must be okay, and then you commit that sin again.
-
But yet you're judging your closeness to the Lord based
-
on your gifts still working. And you did not know
-
the anointing left you. Now the Holy Spirit, you're sealed
-
with the Holy Spirit till the day of redemption, so
-
he doesn't leave. But that anointing that can lift. But
-
you've hardened over time to such a degree you've allowed
-
your gift to fool you.
-
This is how this happens, y'all.
-
It's a slow burn. Compromise is a slow burn. I
-
don't think any of these leaders set out to mess
-
their lives up and hurt a bunch of people. I
-
don't think that. I think they all started out good, hopefully,
-
but somewhere along the lines deception came in. So finding
-
your anointing. It's the hardest thing when discovering your anointing
-
and coming to terms with your limits. Back to the
-
bumper car thing. Every one of you have a limit
-
to your anointing. Every one of you have a place
-
of influence that the Lord's given you. You can't make
-
him give you more influence. You can go into self
-
promotion to try to try to get more influence, and
-
whatever little more influence you appear to have. The moment
-
you stopped doing what you did, you will absolutely lose it.
-
And the scariest thing is you might promote yourself right
-
into a place of warfare that you can't handle. The
-
Lord gave my son Cole a dream. I've shared this
-
a couple of times. This is a couple of years back.
-
Cole goes to bed one night and the next morning
-
he wakes up tells me, hey, Dad, I had a
-
dream with you in it. I said, oh yeah, I said,
-
what was happening? He goes, you were in a boxing ring.
-
I said, this is getting good, and he goes, and
-
you were fighting these demons. I was like, oh yeah,
-
keep talking so and this is fun. And he's like
-
and you literally were knocking these demons out with one
-
punch boom boom boom, Like I like this street.
-
And he goes, but he goes.
-
I said, Lord, how is he doing that? And the
-
Lord spoke to my son and the dream and he
-
told them because he only goes after the ones, I
-
tell him to see spiritual warfare rules of engagement. I've
-
had tons of tons.
-
Of over the decades.
-
People growl and everything else at me in public, and
-
I didn't engage it if the Lord didn't tell me to.
-
I mean crazy stuff, crazy stuff. Becky and I have
-
got stories for years of stories of just wild man
-
of state. I'm minding my own business, trying to make
-
a salad in the old Achiv. Anybody missed that old
-
salad bar at the old Agiv?
-
Oh that was glorious anyways. But the thing is.
-
God has never made a defensive move in his life.
-
The moment you find yourself in offense and trying to
-
move forward an offense, you need to check it because
-
you're probably allowing the enemy to set the lines of
-
battle the rules of engagement. Israel taunted for forty days
-
and forty nights by Goliath. Then David shows up. David
-
was actually doing what God told.
-
Him to do.
-
He's like, who's this uncircumcised philistine? Didn't face them five
-
smooth stones? You know he had four other brothers, and
-
we see they were killed in the scriptures. So David said,
-
I'll take you.
-
And your brothers.
-
I got one for each of you. Say hello to
-
my little friends.
-
Some of you may not be old enough for that film.
-
But God has set apart each individual to function under
-
the anointing in a unique way. And when we are
-
under an identity crisis, we tend to try and clone
-
other people's anointing. Do you understand the anointing is attracted
-
to authenticity, So you be you. There's only one of you,
-
there's only one of me, And y'all said, amen. Each
-
are given a measure of faith Romans twelve three ben.
-
When finding the limits of your anointing, you might say
-
you're discovering the measure of faith.
-
In which you abide.
-
There are two parts of our gifting or anointing, that
-
which you were born with and brought up with and
-
that which comes as a result of conversion. See there
-
there's Abra, Abraham, sorry Jeremiah. For instance, it says that
-
I called you to be a prophet while you're in
-
your mother's womb. John the Baptist, forerunner of Jesus, literally
-
had the Holy Spirit inside of him in the womb
-
before Pentecost. He was a forerunner of what a believer
-
was going to look like. In the New Covenant, the
-
Hebrew word for anointing is mishkah and it means to.
-
Rub or smear with oil.
-
The Greek word for anointing is cryo and it means
-
to anoint. The word anointing appears twenty three times in
-
the Old Covenant and four times in the New Covenant.
-
We see in Exodus thirty a natural representation of a
-
spiritual principle when it comes to the anointing. There were
-
five ingredients that made up the sacred anointing oil in
-
the Old Covenant. Myrr which is a sticky gummy substance
-
that is still used today as a painkiller. This is
-
symbolic of love and suffering, compassion, and passion. There was cinnamon,
-
and it's a highly flammable spice. This is symbolic of
-
spiritual fire revival. The calamus is also called sweet flag,
-
a cane type plant that grows among water lilies, and
-
it is known for the aromatic properties when it is
-
bruised or crushed. This is symbolic of forgiveness from betrayals
-
and woundings. Cassia is a bark scraped from a tree.
-
This is symbolic of sacrifice, worship, and brokenness. It is
-
the pure purity element of the anointing oil. Since this
-
must be scraped off the tree, it also represents the
-
purging element of the Holy Spirit. And then number five,
-
Come on, are you young living women in here just
-
getting fired up about the oils? WHOA Olive oil is
-
the last ingredient added by which the aroma of the
-
anointing oil is enhanced, made pungent to the nose. This
-
is symbolic of the power of the Holy Spirit and
-
the manifestation of his presence to mankind. It is also
-
what holds the mixture together. This was the annoyingingol in
-
Exodus thirty and back then have you reproduced it? It
-
came with some consequences, can't be counterfeited can't be reproduced
-
by man, the true anointing because it doesn't come from us.
-
What actually brought this along was I think I've taught
-
on the anointing twice and we were having lunch Friday
-
with a couple and he's a retired minister who from
-
Louisiana originally, and he, over thirty years of ministry, ended
-
up building out an eighty acre campus, debt free, with
-
a sanctuary of three thousand people. And so he has
-
talked to us, counseled us, encouraged us, given us wisdom.
-
But he said something he goes, you know, justin He said,
-
this generation of leaders have a revelation of God's goodness
-
and their gifts.
-
But they don't have the anointing.
-
They don't understand what it means to lay your hands
-
on two thousand people and impart something to them. And
-
I want to tell you, especially younger people, that there
-
is something the previous generation of leadership is carrying. But
-
if you get so offended with their weaknesses from pioneering
-
and you lose honor for them, you're not going to
-
get the inheritance of the previous generation.
-
And you need it.
-
We need it.
-
It's one thing to watch somebody operate in a gift
-
or give a good teaching or prophesy. And it's a
-
whole other thing. When the anointing comes, when all of
-
a sudden, everyone being touched is transformed. In that moment,
-
impartation is happening. See the anointing, it says, lay your
-
hands on no one suddenly. The anointing in parts holiness
-
and the Old Covenant it said, do not leave lest
-
you in part holiness. Number five. Personal anointing. What ascends
-
up from our spirit man and out to the people.
-
This is what we're anointed to be. It's an appointment.
-
This is our relationship with Christ that is brought about
-
by the Holy Spirit. The Greek word for this is chrisma,
-
and the example again is first John twenty seven. This
-
is not charisma. Strong's for fifty four six. There's minister
-
I'm gonna finish the sermon in tongues.
-
You all get the interpretation.
-
There's ministerial anointing, and this is what we are anointed
-
to do. It's a proclamation, a special touch for a
-
special task. This type of anointing is provisional and you
-
will feel it come upon you for the task at hand,
-
and it lifts off after the ministry is complete. Anybody
-
ever come under this heavy, heavy presence of the Lord
-
and then you're ministering and then all of a sudden
-
it lifts and you're like, what I do wrong?
-
Why do it lifts?
-
That is your ministerial anointing. It's like the hand of
-
the Lord comes upon you to tear that lion apart.
-
Once the line's torn apart, then that intensity subsides. See,
-
it's important that you all understand this because if you're
-
gonna partner with the Lord in the midst of advancing
-
the kingdom, you actually need to know what you're doing.
-
To some degree. It helps at times.
-
Sometimes God bypasses us and we're praying for someone and
-
the Lord heals them of something they didn't even ask about,
-
and what they were asking.
-
About they don't get healed. Anybody been there.
-
I've prayed for people like, yeah, you pray for me
-
last Sunday and I was like, she goes, yeah, what
-
you prayed for didn't get healed, but I got healed
-
of this. I was like, Okay, I do my best work.
-
By mistake, the anointing breaks the yoke of bondage. The
-
weights off of people Isaiah ten twenty seven. Your gift
-
doesn't break the anointing. The anoint I mean, doesn't break
-
the yoke the anointing does. Fresh oil is needed at
-
different times to break through the strongholds and resistance that
-
we face in our daily walk. Fresh oil is usually
-
comes after a difficult battle or to usher in a
-
new season of our life. It brings well needed refreshing
-
to our souls just at the right time Psalms ninety
-
two ten. Remember the angels came and ministered to Jesus
-
and the wilderness after it was over.
-
That's fresh oil.
-
And you, when you're fatigued and worn down from the battle,
-
you can say, Lord, would you refresh me?
-
Would you give me fresh oil?
-
On the Probably one of the strangest encounters of being
-
refreshed in my life was and I don't share this
-
much because it's really weird, and people already think I'm weird,
-
and this might make you think I'm weirder, But I was.
-
I was in my office.
-
I was in my office praying one morning. This was
-
long before the church plant. I was on Water Street,
-
my little two hundred s griffoot office. Becky was in
-
the little office next there, and I was only doing
-
prayer ministry full time at the time, and one morning
-
I was super tired. I don't know how many sessions
-
I'd done that week, and I was like, Lord, would
-
you just release your angels to refresh me? And all
-
of a sudden, I felt this presence of a nose
-
of a horse nuzzling my arm. I had my eyes
-
closed and my hands are out, and with each nuzzle
-
my strength increased. And I thought, Lord, if I out
-
my eyes, is there gonna be a horse in my office?
-
Like only what's going on here? And I out my
-
eyes and I'm a seer and I didn't see anything,
-
but in the spirit there was.
-
A horse there. Well what a horses represent in scripture?
-
Power and authority. I was being refreshed with power and authority.
-
You may think that strange. Read your Bible. It gets weirder.
-
So most kings, priests, and prophets were only anointed with
-
the sacred oil once in a lifetime. David and Jesus
-
were anointed three times. David was anointed as a teenager
-
for Samuel sixteen thirteen. David was anointed as King of
-
Judah and second Samuel two four, and David was anointed
-
as king of Israel and second Samuel five to three.
-
Jesus was anointed at his baptism John one thirty two,
-
He was anointed by Mary John twelve three, and he
-
was anointed by Nicodemus John nine to forty one. Remember
-
in Ecclesiastes ten to one, it says, just like dead
-
flies spoil the ointment, so does.
-
A little sin to a believer.
-
It says it's the In Ecclesiastes, it says it's the
-
dead flies that spoil the ointment. Now, if you know
-
anything about shepherding, I've never been a literal shepherd. I
-
mean you are my sheep, but metaphorically speaking. But they
-
would put fresh oil on the sheep's heads and their
-
noses to keep the flies off. Why because those flies
-
would lay eggs and then cause those sheep problems. Beelzebub,
-
Lord of the thing about your mind? Fresh oil?
-
Are you with me? Oil on your head?
-
Protection from the thoughts the flies.
-
I'm almost done. Hang in there, listen quickly.
-
In the time of the Jewish Temple, there were four
-
major pressings from the olive harvest. The first pressing was
-
used for the temples, manorah, or for the oil of
-
the anointing. The second pressing was oil used for oil
-
lamps to give light in the homes. The third pressing
-
was used for cooking purposes, and the fourth pressing was
-
for medical purposes. As prophetic ministers, we must be able
-
to discern between a person's gift and the anointing. A
-
gift can function and a person regardless of their character,
-
if a person is living in sin and moving in
-
their gift. The common mistake is for believers to think
-
that God's stamp of approval is on their life and
-
therefore assume that minister is living a godly lifestyle. We
-
must never fall into the trap of depending on our
-
gifts instead of having character and intimacy with God. The
-
anointing flows from the secret place. Last point the Greek
-
word forfilled, like all through acts, and they were filled,
-
and they were filled, and they were filled, and noticed
-
they kept having fillings. They were baptized at the day
-
of Pentecost, and yet somehow they were filled again, and
-
then they were filled again, and then they were filled again.
-
That word ful phil is pletho, and it means furnish, accomplish, fill, supply,
-
or complete, And this word is found twenty four times
-
in the New Covenant.
-
It properly means to fill.
-
To the maximum extent, to capacity. So wouldn't it make
-
sense that the disciples, as they're growing in Christ and
-
their spirits are actually growing that now there's more capacity
-
for the Holy Spirit. Imagine your spirit like a water hose,
-
and the water's the Lord, the Holy Spirit. Do you
-
want a garden hose or do you want a fire hydrant? So,
-
now understanding that principle, go back and look at the
-
scriptures where it talks about edifying or strengthening your spirit.
-
Are y' all with me?
-
I'm giving you a principle, a teaching in this moment,
-
how to strengthen your spirit, how to expand your spirit,
-
how to position yourself for a fresh filling of the
-
Holy Spirit. Because the disciples, over and over and over,
-
as they grew in Christ, as their spirit expanded in Him,
-
they would be filled, and they were filled again, and
-
many times they were filled and the building shook, there
-
was an earthquake. When's the last time you were an
-
intercession in the building shook? Don't I mean this place
-
may have may look like it's shaken a couple of times.
-
But so at the end of the day, we've got
-
to get back into a place where we are way
-
more impressed with character and intimacy with the Lord. There's
-
more shakings coming, intense shakings, and we need to get
-
into a place of maturation with the Lord so that
-
when things are shaking and people are shaking around us.
-
They go, what's your problem?
-
You're at peace? And you're like, yeah, I read the end.
-
I know who I am. I know that you're shaking.
-
Isn't the Kingdom? And that's why you're shaking. See when
-
I hear testimonies of like Heidie Baker standing in front
-
of a bunch of gunmen with machine guns pointed at
-
her face, and she has all her little orphans with her,
-
and she's laughing at them, literally laughing, and their guns
-
are loaded eight ks and she's laughing at them.
-
That's cool. I'm impressed with that.
-
Because the one time I risked my life for the
-
Gospel when I was in Egypt and the car bomb
-
went off outside the conference room, I thought I was
-
a dead man, and I was not laughing. I was
-
a few shades whiter in that moment. A whole group
-
of ministers started laughing at me because they could tell
-
that I was not at peace.
-
So what did that tell me?
-
Justin you have a long way to go before you
-
laugh at machine guns. If you can't run with men,
-
how are you going to run with horses.
-
There's a spiritual principle there, and I want to tell y'all.
-
We're gonna have to run with the horses and the
-
days ahead, and that day is coming away sooner than
-
you think. We need to continue to pray for our country,
-
pray for November, and pray for Israel.
-
Let's stand prayer team. Please, all right, I want to
-
do something.
-
If you need fresh oil, I want you to go
-
in this aisle here between these two rows, line all the.
-
Way to the back.
-
If you have never really experienced the anointing of God,
-
get in that line and go all the way back.
-
And if everyone needs fresh oil, we may have to
-
make two lines. Everyone's going to the right lane. So again,
-
this line over here that not many people are in
-
is the line of you've never really experienced that corporate
-
anointing where the hand of the Lord comes upon you
-
and then lifts if you will. Okay, the entire church
-
is fresh oil are a you're Are you the only
-
one in that line? Well, go ahead, you come up here,
-
you're you're y'all come up here, come yeah.
-
Come up here. And then the fresh oil line.
-
Let's go ahead and split that in half and come
-
go ahead and sit saying the aisles on two sides,
-
so like yeah, no, yeah, so yeah, all y'all that
-
are on the yeah, just come up that way. Okay,
-
Now y'all are wondering what's next. Maybe, okay, Anthony, would
-
you play the piano, So everybody put your hands out
-
like it's Christmas. You're used to me always asking you
-
to do that.
-
So now here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna ask the.
-
Holy Spirit to come tangibly, and you're actually gonna expect
-
him to show up in a.
-
Heavier, tangible way. All right. Then, when you feel that shift,
-
some of you are gonna feel heat. You're gonna get hot,
-
your hands are gonna get hot.
-
You're you're gonna start sweating, some of you might start tingling,
-
some of you your lips may start feeling weird. Because
-
when the Holy Spirit starts to move, everyone physically responds
-
a little bit differently to the anointings.
-
You just feel that? Who felt that? So see now
-
the Lord's starting to move. There was just a shift
-
right there, Oh, right there. Who's feeling that? Who's feeling
-
the Yeah? Somebody who? Yeah, I know. But some who
-
pulled the oil out.
-
They're like, it's super natural. This really works now there there,
-
And it's not abnormal to literally have supernatural fragrances come
-
into the room.
-
We've had it here before in the classes and different things.
-
Okay, I'll just close your eyes for a minute. So
-
Holy Spirit and the Mighty Name of Jesus, would you
-
bring fresh oil?
-
Now?
-
Lord, would you bring fresh oil? Would you begin to wash?
-
Thank you for listening.
