Waiting On God With Expectancy!

You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week,

we hope you enjoy this message from Justin Carpenter, who's

like Wizard of Oz, the one behind the scenes, right,

But we don't do magic here, that's witchcraft. All right. Well,

I have a second time to attempt this, so we'll

see how it goes. You feel confident or what I

want to talk to you this morning about out waiting

on God with expectancy? How many in the room this

morning you're believing God for something, whether it came through

a dream of vision, his scripture was highlighted to you,

like there's something you're waiting on. All of us, no

matter how many things we've had fulfilled, all of us

are waiting on the Lord to act on our behalf

in some way, shape or form for something at any

given time. Please don't ask me to repeat that. You

can watch the live stream, but we're all waiting on

him and it can get very very tiring at times

when we believe we've heard the Lord so clearly, and

then nothing happens and then nothing happens. A little bit more,

and then a little bit more, and it's been a day,

it's been let me push this back here, it's been

a day, it's been a week, it's been a month.

And in our culture, we're not a culture that's very patient. Right,

anybody ever get frustrated standing in front of a microwave? Yeah,

that's pretty stinking bad, isn't it. You're like, whether it's

you know, I use my microwave to melt my butter

that I make for my rabbis, and so you can

only imagine you're looking at those poor ribbis they just

need a bath of butter, and you're looking at the

microwave and it just can't go fast enough. I thought

I might get a couple of amens from some carnivores,

but apparently not. Is everybody vegan in here or what? Well,

now that I offended half of the room, I'll keep going.

But God is more interested in the process than in

the fulfillment, meaning for you, he's it's way more interested

in what you're becoming than your destination. And too many

times when we're waiting on the Lord for something to happen,

we are viewing our destiny as a destination versus a journey,

and your destiny is all about a journey, and that

journey is all about people. Your destiny is not tied

up into buildings, it's not tied up into money, it's

not tied up into material things. It's all about relationship

because at the center of it all, God is focused

on his creation. He's focused on us, And I don't

care if you remove people, you have no destiny. Are

y'all with me? So if you think you're here to

get this massive financial breakthrough at some point and then

go to Hawaii and retire for the rest of your life,

you're wrong. Retirement is not in the scripture. It's not

show me where retirement from the kingdom is in the scripture.

Your destiny for planet Earth stops when you breathe your

last breath. I don't care if you're seventy five or

thirty five. If you're breathing and you're still alive, God

has not done with you period. In fact, your elders,

literal elders and age, you have the greatest opportunity before

you right now because we're living in the most fatherless

generation ever and there are men that there are. I

should say this. There are boys trapped in men's bodies,

and they have no clue what it means to be

a man because they were never initiated into manhood. Neither

do they know how to father. And for those of

you that were initiated into manhood that do you know

how to father? You are so needed. It's not even

and funny. And I'm talking about true spiritual fathers and

true spiritual mothers. Not not another title to idolize, not

another way to get on a stage and be seen,

and oh I'm a spiritual father, but literally pouring your

life into the younger men. It's desperately needed. Isaiah sixty

four to four from of Old. No one has heard

or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a

God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

The problem is, many times, as we're waiting on the Lord,

we're not in the throne room, we're not in heaven.

We don't see what he's doing on our behalf in

that moment. We don't see the angels being dispatched and

all the things, all the acts of God that it

took to literally get you here to this moment, because

we're many times so earthly minded that we don't see

the Kingdom for what it is.

Or is that the wind? Is that me? Okay, the

winds Isaiah forty thirty one. But they that wait upon

the Lord will renew their strength. They'll mount up with

wings like an eagle. They will run and not grow weary,

and they will walk and not faint. Some of you

may have dream fatigued this morning. Some of you may

have thrown away God's best because you got tired of

waiting for it. Says, hope deferred makes the heart sick.

So because of that deferment, in your vain attempt of

protecting your hearts, you took that hope that you had

and you threw it away, believing that somehow it wouldn't

hurt as much. While you wait hopefully that God will

show up, that maybe God will do something. And some

of you are way more trusting in yourselves than the Lord,

because unfortunately, you've had a rough upbringing, and you're actually

allowing your experience to tell you what to believe about

God versus truth. I remember, at seventeen years old, going, Lord,

I'm literally kneeling at my bed and I said, Lord,

I can totally relate to you as my savior. I

can totally relate to you as my friend. I can

relate to you Jesus. But if I'm honest when I

say Father, I don't feel anything. And you're never gonna

walk trusting your father with no connection. Some of you

need a massive revelation of who the Father is and

his goodness. Otherwise you're going to live as an orphan

and never step into that adoption and know that you're

supposed to be living from inheritance from Jesus. It says

no good thing will he withhold from those who walk

up rightly. But we can have a mindset at times

where people owe us pal I'm thirty seven thirty four.

Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he

will exalt you to inherit the land you will look

on when the wicked are cut off. I think I'll

get a little further this time. I think Abraham is

one of the best examples of waiting on the Lord.

And Abraham and Abraham fifteen help me, Lord and Abraham fifteen.

They're all like, what book's that? That's the nearly inspired

version Genesis fifteen. It says, after these things, the word

of the Lord came to Abram in a vision. Fear not, Abram,

I am your shield. Your reward shall be very great.

But Abram said, oh Lord God, what will you give me?

For I continue childless? And the error of my house

is Eliezar of Damascus. And Abram said, behold, you have

given me no offspring, and a member of my household

will be my error. And behold, the word of the

Lord came to him. This man shall not be your error.

Your very own son shall be your error. And he

brought him outside and said, look toward heaven and number

the stars. If you're able to to number them, then

he said to him, so shall your offspring be. And

he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him

as righteousness. So in Genesis fifteen, Abraham believes the promise

of God that he's going to have his own son.

But somewhere in this process they got a little tired

of waiting, and so Sarah I came up with this

great idea, I'm gonna help God fulfill my destiny. Because

even though Abraham believed their physical bodies were well past

the physical age of having children, and they did not

live with the technology that we live with today. So

proud of myself. I'm literally holding jokes back right now, David,

you're supposed to incur me, comfort me, strengthen me. A

Genesis sixteen one to four. Now Sarah, Abram's wife, had

borne him no children. She had a female Egyptian servant

whose name was Hagar. And Sarah said to Abram, behold,

now the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. I

will help him go And it doesn't say that go

into my servant. It may be that I shall obtain

children by her. And Abram listened to the voice of Sarah. So,

after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, SARAHI,

Abram's wife, took Hagar, the Egyptian her servant, and gave

her to Abram, her husband, as a wife. And he

went into Hagar and she conceived. And when she saw

that she had conceived, she looked with content on her mistress.

So that's another key point. If you help God fulfill

what he's called you to rather than waiting on what

he's actually called you to, you may get what you want,

but you're not gonna like what you get, and you

will battle with contempt, and it will be somebody else's fault,

because that's what the victim mindset does. Are you all encouraged? Yet?

It will get better, I promise. Fast forward to Abe Earth.

I almost did it again, to Genesis seventeen. When Abram

was ninety nine years old. The Lord appeared to Abram

and said to him, I am God Almighty, walk before me,

be blameless, that I make my covenant between me and you.

So again Abram falls on his face. He makes the

covenant with him, father of a multitude of nations, changes

his name from Abram to Abraham, because your destiny is

in your name, and no longer will we be Abram,

but you'll should be called Abraham. And he goes on

to say about his offspring, But interestingly, he can't get

over Ishmael. Abram says to God, oh, that Ishmael might

live before you. God said, no, but Sarah, your wife

shall bear you a son, and you should call his

name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him, an

everlasting covenant for his offspring after him. As for Ishmael,

I've heard you behold. I will bless him and make

him fruitful and multiply him greatly. He shall be the

father of twelve princes, and I will make him into

a great nation. But I will establish my covenant with Isaac. Y'all,

if you don't let go of Ishmael, you'll never have Isaac.

And I don't care who you are, what God's called

you to. Prophetically speaking, everyone has to deal with a

metaphoric ishmael. We all know in part we prophesy, in

part we have had a piece of what God has

called us to. Again, regardless of how He brought that

revelation forward to you, but you will absolutely be faced

with ishmael. There'll be a moment in time where you're

going to have to grieve your version of your destiny

because we all add to that little bit of revelation

we have. I call it Hamburger helper. Kind of like

when people want to go prophesy, God says four words,

you say thirteen sentences because you want to help the

Holy Spirit finish that sentence so you look more spiritual. Well,

I know that's never happened in here before, but maybe

down the street, what's your ishmael? What's your ishmael? This morning?

My ishmail was when I started a cross Kingdom ministries

in twent thirteen. Pastoring was not in that destiny. I

was gonna do itinerant ministry, travel the world, have a school,

do all these other things, but not shepherd. That was

my Ishmael. And all of a sudden I start getting

prophetic words about planning a church. No, Lord, let it

not be, Let it be this Lord, That's what I

was laboring towards. And I literally was faced one one

day in my office in twenty sixteen with the reality

of am I gonna hold on to Ishmael? Am I

gonna hold on to my version of what I think

God's called me to? Or am I gonna yield fully

to what He's called me to? So again, what is

your Ishmael this morning? Looking back? Whether you've known what

you whether you've known what God's called you to do

for a year, two years, five years, how much have

you helped him fulfill that calling? Interestingly enough, the number

twenty is a number associated with prayer and expecting God

to do something big. It's associated with the prophetic. The

sum of ten x two tends to be a witness

that God has ordered something and has to do with

process associated with its manifestation. There's actually twenty whole dreams

in the Bible. There are twenty whole visions in the Bible,

and there are twenty examples of relating to waiting for

God to speak. We could go through all sixty of

these exacts amples, but we would be here till tomorrow.

But I want to encourage y'all go back and look

at the dreams. Go back and look. One third of

your Bible is dreams and visions. Did you know that

one third of it? In fact, by the time yere

sixty years of age, you will have spent one third

a sleep. Some of you all need to wake up

right now, but literally twenty years, so a third of

your life by the time you're sixty years old. Do

you think the Lord could have said something to you

in twenty years of sleeping? Food for thought. Jeremiah twenty

nine to eleven says, for I know the plans I

have for you, declares the Lord plans for welfare and

not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Do you understand Jeremiah's prophesying this literally on the cuffs

of Israel going into captivity for seventy years in Babylonian captivity,

God saying, hey, I know what I think about you,

Thoughts of peace, thoughts to prosper you as they're literally

going to spend the next seventy years in captivity by

their enemy. When Abraham got his answer, when he was

given Isaac, what happened. All of a sudden, the Lord says, hey,

I need you to take Isaac and go sacrifice him.

This is the other step in the midst of waiting

for God with expectancy, waiting that he's going to act

on your behalf, because it says he's actively working on

the behalf of those that wait for him. And then

all of a sudden, easy, there, tiger lion. I was like,

everybody turned their eyes away. I was like, is there

an angel behind me? Just a lion? But the reality

is Isaac had to be left on the altar. Interestingly,

he told Isaac, he goes, He goes, we are going

to go worship the Lord over this hill and we

will come back. So he had faith that Isaac would

come back with him. He'll provide a sacrifice, he said.

But literally, Isaac has no clue. He's carrying the wood

in the rope. He lets his Father tie him down

on an altar. Hello, now, y'all, these aren't just little

stinking Disney fairy tales. This is reality. This is history

in the Kingdom. This is the Father of all nations

who's literally thinking that he's gonna have to sacrifice the

most precious thing to him, his only son, which was

where the promise was just like Jesus, because if he

didn't die, we're all lost. And he literally is laying there,

pulls his knife back and the Lord speaks to him

from heaven and they come back. Your destiny has to

be left on the altar, and your ruthless trust has

to be willing to see it come into man or fullness.

For whatever he chooses. You don't get to choose Isaac.

God chooses Isaac. You can have Ishmael or you can

have Isaac. And right now we're literally seeing the war

of the House of David in the House of Saul,

and the House of Saul is growing weaker and weaker

as the House of David will grow stronger and stronger.

There are people falling away as we speak, shipwrecking their

faith because they want to hold on to Ishmael and

they're not willing to hold on to Isaac. They're not

willing to take up their cross, because, make no mistake,

the only way into the kingdom is through death. He says,

not my will, but your will be done, literally sweating

great drops of blood in the garden being strengthened by angels.

He says, not my will. But we live in an

American culture where it's about us, and it's about our

dream and what we desire and what we want, and

how we want to tell everybody else they're wrong and

we're right and you're doing everything wrong. And the whole

servant hood leadership thing goes to the wayside. Greater love

than this are greater love that no man has had

than this, that he should lay his life down for

his friends. So we when we look like Jesus the most.

If you're married, husbands, it's when you're laying your life

down for your bride like Christ did for the church.

Submission and honor happened a whole lot easier when there's

mutual love and respect there not demanding. I always tell

Lisa said, Sarah always called Abraham Master, what's going on?

And that was her respond. No. But the reality is

when you see that that picture, which is Paul goes on,

you know, beyond marriage and says, this is Jesus in

the church. It's not fifty fifty. If you're married here

this morning and you think it's fifty to fifty, I

guarantee you your marriage isn't that great. I mean that

in the most pastoral way possible. It's one hundred hundred

And regardless of how your spouse is returning love. Love

is not self seeking. So you love your spouse one

hundred percent because that's what Jesus does. Jesus doesn't say, Hey,

I'll love y'all halfway. You meet me halfway, aren't you glad?

That's not the case y'all. Whoo. So, when God desired

to show more convincingly to the errors of the promise,

the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with

an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which

it's impossible for God to lie, we who have fled

for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to

the hope set before us. We have this as a

sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that

enters into the inner place behind the curtain where Jesus

has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become

a high priest forever after the order of Melkezedek. Some

of y'all have dream fatigue this morning. What do I

mean by that? You've been waiting, but you're You're no

longer waiting with expectancy. You're waiting miserably victorious. Do you

ever see anybody miserably victorious? They're doing what the Lord

called me to do, but they're not happy. And you

know it. One time, one time, the Lord was dealing

with my brother. Then Micah and Cole we're all driving,

and then my brother was in a bad mood. I

forgot what this was years ago. I know where we

were going, and and Micah was in the back seat.

Micah was not six foot two. He was just a little,

you know, little dude. And we were talking about joy

and and Micah goes, can't you see the joy on

my face? Mocking my brother? But you know it's like

they're like, I love the Lord. The Lord's good, He's

really good. I'm so full of joy. I couldn't be

more joyful than this right now, Like whoa somebody needs

to give you a muscle relaxer Zachariah nine twelve. Returned

to your stronghold, oh prisoners of hope, today I declare

that I will restore to you double y'all. We are

in a jubilee, I'm telling you right now, and we

are positioned to see amazing, amazing things. But you can

miss your visitation. Make no mistake. You can forfeit inheritance.

I'm not talking about your salvation. I'm talking about your inheritance.

And you can choose to stubbornly hold on to Ishmael

because you don't want to trust the Father, or you

can let go of Ishmael and say, all right, Lord,

I want Isaac, but you got to leave Isaac on

the altar. That means ruthless trust. That means we pray

what the Lord prayed, not my will but yours. Talks.

Cheap talk is cheap. What are we doing behind the scenes,

when behind closed doors, when the curtains are closed and

no one's around and it's you and the Lord, what

does it look like? I know we all come in

on Sunday morning with how are you?

I'm fine.

Fine is a four letter word in the church because

so many times we tell people we're fine and we're

not because deep down inside we don't think the other

person genuinely cares when they ask, or we're actually afraid

to tell them how we're really doing because we might

get rejected. So so many times we walk around and

pretend and have the halo effect over our heads and

tell people I can tell you right now if I'm

not fine and you ask me, I'm gonna tell you,

so don't ask me if you don't want to know.

And I think we should all be that way. Authenticity,

you know you can actually be transparent. Do you understand

the difference between being having authenticity and transparency. I can

be authentic and I can be open about things I've

gone through and I think I messed the other word up,

but that's okay. But having transparency and vulnerability sorry, not authenticity.

You can be transparent about your past and not be

vulnerable about your present. Are you with me? So you

might be in a place where you have no problems

with telling people about your past and everything you went through,

but the moment they ask you a vulnerable question, which

means it's present tense, you're not nearly as open, and

we need to have vulnerability and transparency you with me.

Romans four eighteen says, in hope he believed against hope.

This is Abraham, y'all. His body was good as dead.

He's one hundred years old. By the way, thirteen years

passed with him believing Ishmael was the answer. And did

you know God did not talk to him one time

during that time period. And number thirteen is the number

of rebellion in the scripture. And at the fullness of

that thirteenth year, the Lord came to him and talked

to him and said, Nope, not Ishmael. So make no

mistake if you choose to hold on to Ishmael, if

you choose not to hope against hope in those moments

when you need to and you hold on to Ishmael,

you are in rebellion. Even if it's cloaked. Slow obedience

is nothing more than cloaked rebellion. None of us have

ever been there looking for lightning. But in hope he

believed against hope. You can't let what you're looking at

in the natural to tell you what to believe about

what God's promised you, because if you do, hope deferred

makes the heart sick, and you will throw your hope away.

You will not reckon yourselves as prisoners of hope. You

will not hold on to hope, because hope is the

bridge that brings you to fulfillment. Why do you think

the enemy wants to crush it? Find me a leader

with lots of influence, and I'll show you a leader

with a lot of hope. How many hopeless leaders do

you know with lot having great influence? No, it says

you look at our political leaders. It says righteousness exalt

righteousness exalts a nation, but sin as a reproach to

any people. When we have unrighteous rulers, guess what happens

we suffer as a nation. When we have righteous rulers.

Guess what hapen weapons were blessed? That says, pray for

all leaders so that we can live a peaceful life.

I don't give two cents what you think about the

Orange man. Some of you may despise him, some of

you may love him. I don't care. You're called to

pray for him, I really don't. I mean that in

the nicest way possible. And you were called to pray

for the previous gentleman that was there, whether you like

him or not, You were called to pray for him.

I can tell you this, and I said this first

service as us as the church. If we don't stand

up and take that watchman position over this country, whatever

goods you perceive happening right now will be gone like

that period. It is the church's responsibility when you know

a country was built by faith people, Christian foundation, that

we don't live in it. We don't even live in

a backslid and Christian nation right now. We live in

a nation that used to be very much Christian. But

it's our job, it's our assignment right now to have hope,

to believe that God really does want to continue to

restore our nation. And I believe that wholeheartedly. There's a

psalm in the scriptures that has to do with end

time events and it talks about seven princely kings being

raised up to fight against the Antichrist. It doesn't specifically

say who they are. And there will be sheep nations

and there will be goat nations when Jesus returns, And

I believe wholeheartedly it's his desire that we are a

sheep nation, that we are once again become a lighthouse

to the world, sending out more missionaries than are actually

coming in right now. This is part of our assignment,

all of our assignment to be watchmen on the walls.

Inner Seed. We're a royal priesthood. You have. Every single

one of you has a priestly role to be interceding

for your family, for your friends, for the nation, for

the leaders. Are y'all like it? You don't get a

get out a prayer card. You know what I'm saying.

Rejoice and hope, be somewhat patient and tribulation. Rejoice in hope,

be patient and tribulation. How do you rejoice in hope

by having the confident expectation that what God said to

you is going to take place? Period, you can have

joy and hope when you actually know what He told

you will come to pass. John seventeen, The great high

priestly prayer, Jesus said, more than once, anything you ask

according to My will, it has already done. That's how

you say thank you Lord. So the moment you pray

God's will, the moment you pray, which, by the way,

praying in the spirit first and foremost is actually praying

the will of God, not just praying in a different language.

Because not everybody has the gift of tongues, and the

Holy Spirit gives that gift as that gift as he

sees fit. According to one Corinthians twelve, So guess what

if it's only about praying in another language? How do

you pray according to His will? If you don't have

that gift? But if you realize that praying in the

spirit first and foremost is praying His will, then everyone has.

That ability.

That was free. All right? Moving on eight minutes so

one Corinthians thirteen. Love bears all things, believes all things,

hopes all things, endures all things. So now faith, hope,

and love abide these three. But the greatest of these

is love. So what happens if you go, I'm I'm

not gonna wait on God? What are the effects of disobedience?

Because you may just find yourself in a place where

you're like, no, this is what I want and I

don't care what anybody else thinks. You've ever been around

anybody like that before? There? Had any of us ever

been like that at moments in our lives like yeah, whatever,

I'm gonna do what I want. We've all been there,

And how did it work out for you? Straight to

the scene, of the crash. The problem is if you

get in that busted up car and go do it again. Yeah,

all right, I'm gonna I'm gonna start landing the plane

with this one. Samuel thirteen, Saul is king. Samuel tells

Saul to wait seven days, and it says he waited

seven days the time appointed by Samuel. But Samuel did

not come to Gilgal and the people were scattering from him.

So Saul said, bring the burnt offering here to me,

and the peace offerings. So what just happened, There's multiple

things that just happened. Saul is about to make the

greatest mistake of his life by stepping out of the

lane of what he was called to as a king.

He left kingship for priesthood. He allowed the desires and

wants of the people to lead him into disobedience to

the Lord. The fear of man. If you don't crush

the fear of I should say, if you don't allow

him to crush the fear of man inside of you,

you will never fulfill your destiny because you will end

up fearing people more than God, and it will lead

you into a place of disobedience. The fear of man's

a real thing. It is. Why do you think if

you have a tendency to want to please people and

you want them happy with you, did you know that's

actually the fear of man, and so you're partnering with

it by trying to appease everyone. Let me tell you this.

If you're trying to make everybody happen, I mean happy,

forget it, You're not going to And the more influence

you get, the more people you're going to tick off.

And that's their problem. And I mean that in the

most pastoral way possible. So Saul said, bring the burn

offering here to me, and the peace offerings, and he

offered the burn offering. As soon as he finished offering

the burn offering, behold, Samuel came. The moment you threw away,

your hope was right on the cuffs of your fulfillment.

And Saul went out to meet him and greet him.

Samuel said, what have you done? Saul said, when I

saw the people were scattering from me, and that you

did not come within the days appointed, and that the

Philistines had mustered at micmash, I said, now the Philistines

will come down against me at Gilgal and I've not

sought the favor of the Lord. So I forced myself

and offered the burn offering. And Samuel said to Saul,

you've done foolishly. You've not kept the command of the Lord,

your God, with which he commanded you, or then the

Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. See,

what you think is a simple act of disobedience in

the midst of your destiny could literally cause you to

change the direction of a nation. Just like you're saying, well,

I'm not a king. I don't think anything of that.

You have no idea what the Lord ultimately has planned

for your bloodline and what he desires to do with

your children's children. But your sin affects your bloodline. Your

unwillingness to repent is literally spiritual DNA to your bloodline,

and then it just makes it more difficult for your

kids to walk in freedom. Two thousand and five, when

I was exposed to an your Healing and Deliverance ministry,

which was a big pill to swallow coming out of

a cessationist background, by the way, and I realized were

my freedom. I literally called my wife after the first

session of meeting with Dan Gerroy and I said, I

finally feel like the prison doors open, meaning in me.

And I told the Lord, I don't care how long

this takes. I found the key to get free of

myself and I'm not stopping until I am. And I

and that that journey was a two year journey of

me being intentional with pursuing emotional spiritual health. And I'm

not saying I got it all together today, that I'm perfect,

that I'm you know, you can ask my wife, but

I can tell you this. I would never be where

I'm at had I not in two thousand and five

said okay, Lord, cut me. See. The reason why some

of us aren't in the place that we would like

to be is because of his mercy over your life.

Because he knows that if he gave you what he

wants to give you right now, he would have to

turn around and judge you for it, because your character

would not be able to sustain that gift. And he

is a good father, and he will only give us

good gifts, it says in James, every good and perfect

gift comes down from him, the father of lights. So

it's his mercy at times that he's saying wait, wait,

have hope, wait, because he's more interested in your maturation process.

He's more interested in what you're becoming than what you're doing.

Are interested in you looking like Jesus versus you having

success in your own eyes. So Saul fears man blows

it and literally changes the very trajectory. I can split

that word out of his entire bloodline. We would be

talking about Saul today, not David. Think about that. He

would have set the kingdom in Saul's bloodline. And Samuel.

We're watching some new series called House, said David that

I I get a little picky when they take freedoms

in certain areas, and in that House of David they

made they may made Samuel seem a little more like

gand or Gandalf with Lord of the Rings, even torquing

his voice at one point. That was a little creepy.

But in the scripture, after Saul the kingdom's removed from him,

Samuel grieved and wept over Saul losing the kingdom, and

in fact, he grieved so long that the father comes

to him and says, how long are you going to

grieve the loss? Or how long are you gonna grieve Saul?

It wasn't him coming and like kind of like what

they portrayed where he put the smack down on him.

He was like, get out of my No. He loved Saul,

and he says, enough, now grab the oil and I'm

gonna go to the house of Jesse. I'm gonna show

you who to annoy his king. Y'all, every single one

of your bloodline God created with divine purpose. There is

his will that he desires to carry out through your bloodline,

and you have the capacity. Some of you are literally

changing your bloodline right now. The enemy came in took

your bloodline out. You've been five to ten generations bound

with generational iniquity, and you are breaking all of that iniquity.

And you're changing your bloodline in this moment so that

your children's children can be blessed by the Lord and

actually discover not just what their individual destiny is, but

what your bloodline destiny is. But if you choose to

be narrow minded, near sighted like Hezekiah, you'll never see it.

Because Hezekiah said, well, at least they'll be peace in

my day. He had no vision for his children or

his children's children. You understand, there's five generations on planet

Earth right now, five generations that God is interested in

every one of those generations, and what you do has

ramifications for your bloodline. So if you're fighting to get

free of something right now, you're not just fighting for yourselves,

You're fighting for your bloodline. Don't think an instant gratification.

If you think in earthly terms, you're always going to

get earthly results. Don't be like Saul. Don't give up

your destiny because of people. Are the fear of them. Y'all.

Whatever he's called you to do, run after it, but

more importantly, run after him. Regardless of what you're doing,

be with him, have intimacy with him. He cares way

more about what you're becoming than what you're doing. And

we are at a tipping point in the church for

the greatest move of God. We're seeing little birth pains

of it. We're seeing college campuses still God coming and

wrecking them. I'm still believing God's gonna come and mess

tithean Ingram up like suddenly. I believe wholeheartedly the Lord's

about to move on a greater level among the young people.

We are poised for an amazing move of God. But

don't touch Isaac. When you get them, leave them on

the altar. It's the dark night of the spirit. It's

where you live your life in such a position with

Jesus that if he doesn't show up, nothing happens. Nothing

of an eternal impact will happen apart from him showing

you what he desires to do and you co laboring

with him. All right, let's pray if I can get

the prayer teams. If you're on the prayer team, that

I want to challenge you today. Ask the Lord, Lord,

have I given Ishmael up? Lord? Show me how I'm

holding on to Ishmael? And then say, Lord, what's the

Isaac that you have? And will you give me the

grace to leave him on the altar? You know he said,

God says he will not share his glory. The moment

you think you're going to touch his glory, you're in

grave trouble because he says he will not share it

with anyone. Sean, could you end me at the keys?

Everyby's like listen Oh, there we go. I just want

to actually, you know what I want to do. I

know we're a little bit over, but that's kind of

normal around here. If you if you need to, if

you need to give up Ishmael, I want to invite

you to come forward. You realize that you've been holding

and there's no shame in this. But I believe that

God's called us to be in a company of people

that will carry Isaac, that will keep our hands off

God's glory. And to the degree that we hold loosely

will it prophesies. It determines what we're going to be

able to carry in the future. So I just I

want to encourage y'all because I feel like there's a

few of you that that that just need to surrender

Ishmael and say, Okay, Lord, I'm ready to dream with you.

I'm ready to find out what you've what this really

looks like. Some of y'all need to surrender your life

to Jesus this morning, literally.

And I want to encourage you to do that. Father,

You're so good.

Lord, you said, many are the plans in a man's heart,

but it's your will that prevails. Lord, you said, delight

yourself in the Lord, and you'll give us the desires

of our heart. Lord, as we commune with you, as

we behold you, as we rest in you, as we

wait for you, as we watch for you. Lord, there's

a divine exchange where the identity of Jesus becomes a

greater reality than the things that we've been wrestling with

inside and trying to hold on to.

Lord.

Nothing that we're going through, no pain, is worth to

be compared to the glory that's.

Going to be revealed in us.

Lord, you are the hope of glory Jesus. You're the

reason why we're here. You're the desire of nations. You're

the King of kings.

And Lord of lords. You're the Lamb that.

Was slain before the foundations of the earth. You are

the light of the world. You are the bread that

came down from heaven. You are the high priest after

the order of Melkezedek. You are our healer. You are

our father, You are our provider, you are our righteousness.

You are the Lord of Hosts. You're the one that

fights our battles. And Father. Right now, we just surrender

fully again, afresh.

And new to you.

Lord, we say not our will but yours. Thank you
