You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week.
-
We hope you enjoyed this message from Justin Carpenter. Lisa,
-
not my Lisa, that Lisa. I know it's not easy.
-
We were when we flew back this past Tuesday from England.
-
Cole took off to Paris by himself, and I'm I
-
was having a hard time letting him go this trip.
-
And one day he was at a church and wanted
-
to stay and pray, pray at this church. And we
-
were going to go to the High Claire Palace where
-
they did doubt and abbey for all these ladies. And
-
because I if I would have said that about the men,
-
you would have looked at me like a deer in
-
a headlight. And and he wanted to stay back, and
-
I said, no, you tell him, we're we're going to
-
that church. We're getting him. He's going with us at
-
Lista's like Justin, he's not a little boy anymore. You
-
can't tell him what to do. And next thing you know,
-
I'm flooded with tears running down my face. Driving on
-
the wrong side of the car, on the wrong side
-
of the street. It's not easy. I know, it's not
-
my goodness. Okay, Oh, one last thing. If you're on
-
the worship team, don't forget about the worship fellowship luncheon
-
at our house right after service. So musicians, singers, don't
-
forget about that. Yeah, did you forget? Yes? The wife,
-
the elder's wife can come, all right. Kylie did a
-
phenomenal job last week on the Orphan Spirit. And I
-
had a few things brewing in me while we were out,
-
and I thought I was actually going to end up
-
landing in a different place. But I kind of want
-
to follow somewhat in that same vein, and I want
-
to talk to you about embracing God as your father.
-
And we're living in the most fatherless generation right now.
-
And a big reason why the church is in the
-
mess that it's been globally is because you have leaders
-
that are orphans raising up orphans. And hopefully that'll make
-
a little more sense here in a couple of minutes.
-
If it doesn't, just smile and pretend like you understand.
-
Are you all awake? Thus? Saith? Frank? Where's Frank? Oh?
-
Frank was here at first servers? You know, the Bible
-
uses the term father for God approximately one hundred and
-
sixty five times in the four Gospels and over forty
-
times in the Pauline Letters. But it's interesting in the
-
Old Covenant, Father is used fifteen times total in the
-
Old Covenant, and a lot of times in the Old
-
Covenant where you see the term sons of God. Actually,
-
every time you see the term sons of God in
-
the Old Covenant, it is actually referred to the benai Elohem,
-
like in Genesis six, the sons of God. There may
-
be there may be a couple references, but it's not
-
baniol Ohem. Every time you see baniol Ohem, it refers
-
to the sons of God which came down on Mount
-
Herman and took the daughters of men in marriage, and
-
then you have the offspring, the Nephelum. Anybody watched The
-
House of David that series, I have to be honest
-
with you. After I learned how they did their camera
-
trick to make that guy was seven foot two, they
-
made him eleven foot tall in the film, Goliath was
-
about nine foot six. He wasn't eleven foot tall, so
-
they exaggerated his height a little bit. But they have
-
found some fifteen I mean King Aug's bedstead was fifteen
-
feet iron bedstead. I mean, he's just a little bit
-
bigger than my bed, not much, and but it's but
-
they do a camera angle, so I had I took
-
pictures while we were in England. I made Lisa and
-
Cole stand back and I got up on a ledge
-
and I did my camera just right where it made
-
me look like I was four feet taller than them.
-
I felt very proud of myself for a moment. But
-
the reality is something very intentional shifts in the New Covenant.
-
The very first thing God wants us to know is
-
that we are to bond with him as his children.
-
We are to have an intimate connection with him as
-
our father. And coming out of a fatherless generation who
-
came out of a broken home just out of curiosity,
-
whose parents are still married or even if they're past,
-
they stayed married until they graduated. So about that's more
-
than I would I ah, wow, that's more than I thought.
-
And when you grow up in a broken home and
-
you have, especially if you've had you know different abuse
-
that took place in your home, the hardest thing in
-
the world for you, honestly is to feel anything when
-
you think of God as your father. I remember being
-
seventeen years old. I'd just given my life to Jesus.
-
And I was in my bedroom right before bed one night,
-
and I was praying, and I said, Lord, I can
-
relate to you as my savior. I feel a connection there.
-
I can relate to you because my friend. I feel
-
that friendship with you, Jesus. I said, But God, when
-
I say Father, I am numb. I don't feel anything.
-
And so I began this journey of recovering what Father
-
really means and beginning to establish a connection with him. Y'all,
-
you will never step into a place of maturation. You'll
-
never grow up in Jesus, You'll never come off the
-
milk and onto the meat and actually be in a
-
place where you can be considered a teacher. If you're
-
still trying to figure out if he really loves you, well,
-
he really take care of me, you know. Scripture says you,
-
wherever your treasures are, your heart will be also. So
-
when we sow physically, you know, so financially, so resources,
-
so relationships where our treasure is, we're leading our heart.
-
The orphan spirit operates out of insecurity and jealousy. The
-
spirit of sonship functions out of love and acceptance. You understand,
-
jealousy is ugly. Jealousy is the fear that someone's going
-
to take what you have, and it's a nasty thing.
-
Jealousy can lead to. Just ask Saul, because he knew
-
as long as David was alive that his bloodline was done.
-
In fact, RT Kendall says this about jealousy. Jealousy oftentimes
-
manifests as fear or resentment of another's success. See, you're
-
never gonna celebrate another person's victory if you're too worried
-
that they're gonna take yours. And so you're gonna live
-
as an orphan rather than a son. And you'll never
-
be a spiritual father or mother if you don't first
-
learn sonship, because you have to become a son and
-
a daughter before you mature into a spiritual father and mother.
-
Speaking against the person going on at vendetta to hurt
-
their credibility, them from being admired, or actually engaging in
-
a conspiracy to kill their public image, and this is
-
all out of jealousy. I shared a post I want
-
actually I didn't read this for service. I want to
-
read this to you. I don't post a whole lot
-
on social, because when you post on social it's apparently
-
an invitation for everyone and their uncle to tell you
-
what they think about your life. And so I've I've
-
grown in wisdom a little bit to uh uh, you know,
-
not post as much. But I did post. And this
-
was from Jeremiah Johnson. Don't you crash on me? My
-
app crashed? Hallelujah. Here we go. Wow, apparently we got
-
some demon grimblings in here because it keeps crashing. Thus
-
sayth Justin, I bet you I can fix it. Show
-
me Jack with my laptop. I'm gonna have you. In
-
Jesus' name. I love you so much, So here we go.
-
This is what he said when an older generation of
-
David's refused to address sexual abuse with justice, it forces
-
a generation of Absaloms to take matters into their own
-
hands with vengeance and occupy positions of influence and authority
-
that God never gave them. Both generations were wrong. I
-
continue to pray for Godly leadership to emerge with justice
-
to address the abuses of our day. But I must
-
also continue to warn against a rising Absalom generation and
-
who is blinded by their desire for vengeance and not
-
doing the Lord's work. We're living in very sad, dangerous
-
and sobering times in the body of Christ. There's so
-
much tears, tongues in travail needed to discern rightly in
-
this hour we need to We need so much less
-
social media and much more carpet time crying out between
-
the porch and the altar. You know, I was pondering
-
some of these things the other day, and you understand
-
when you come under attack from a Leviathan spirit, the
-
gateway till Leviathan spirit is pride. He's the king of Pride,
-
and so then he's also the twisting and fleeing spirit.
-
So he'll come in, twist what you said and tell
-
it twisted to other people, and then flee. And you
-
don't have half the time, you don't even know. The
-
Absalom spirit always comes in from a father wound, and
-
the Absalom spirit will always attack fathers. Are y'all with me?
-
Paul said, don't be naive of the schemes of the enemy.
-
We don't focus our time on darkness and inferior power,
-
but we also, in the same breath, do not want
-
to be naive of the traps or the schemes that
-
he sets y'all with me, so I'm glad you're all
-
are with me. The orphan spirit is jealous of the
-
success of his brothers. The mature son is committed to
-
the success of his brothers. You understand that there's a
-
huge difference between being in management and being a leader.
-
Bosses will push people, but leaders will get out front
-
and pull them. So leaders will cast a vision and
-
cast a mission and say, hey, the train's about to leave,
-
let's go. And those that don't get on the train,
-
it's not the leader's fault because they're focused on what
-
God's called them to. And the one thing that we
-
as a leadership will never ever ever let go of
-
is the very mission of cross Kingdom. We are on
-
a mission to see the greater vision over this region happen.
-
And I don't care, come hell or high water, I'm
-
going and I'm gonna have my sword out, and I'm
-
gonna have fasting and prayer and pleading and humility and love.
-
But the train's going, y'all, And we have to understand
-
the times and seasons we're in. We have to understand
-
what time is it, because seasons change, times change, and
-
we can't be naive because things are accelerating in this hour.
-
Things are accelerating significantly, and I think time is way
-
shorter than what we recognize. The orphan spirit serves God
-
to earn the Father's love. The mature son serves God
-
out of a sense of divine acceptance and favor. The
-
orphan spirit, he tries to medicate his deep internal alienation
-
through physical stimulation. The mature son walks in the joy,
-
in the presence of the Lord for comfort. So what
-
are you looking to to comfort? If you're not leaning
-
in and trusting God as your father, then your comfort's
-
gonna be addictions, whether it's food, drugs, sex, pornography, you
-
name it. You're going to numb out through these vices
-
because you don't feel comfortable coming to the Father and
-
actually getting comfort from him as your dad. The orphan
-
spirit is driven by the need for success. Let me
-
tell you something. One of the most dangerous things in
-
the world is if you crave spiritual success. If you
-
have a need you have to have success, that points
-
to an orphaned spirit. Because you're over here trying to
-
prove something, and if you don't deal with that, the
-
only thing you're going to prove is a train wreck.
-
It success God's determined our God's definition of success is
-
not our definition period. If he tells you to go
-
to work at Walmart, be a greeter, oh sorry. If
-
he tells you to go to Walmart, be a greeter,
-
guess what. Then you go to Walmart and you become
-
the best greeter Walmart's ever seen. Maybe we can praise
-
some more cashiers in there. Anyways, a little side rabbit there, okay.
-
But the spirit leads the mature son into his calling
-
and mission. The orphan spirit uses people as objects to
-
fulfill their goals. So all of a sudden, now people
-
around you, it's no longer about relationship over assignment. It's
-
about what can you do? And you use and abuse,
-
and then you have spiritual abuse kind of looks like
-
this one aspect of spiritual abuse as well. The Lord
-
told me, using God as a trump card to manipulate
-
people's behavior for your own advantage. Spiritual abuse is a
-
real thing, y'all, and it's in the church and God
-
is dealing with it. This is why I say all
-
the time, especially for those that went through the class,
-
we don't say thus saith the Lord. We say, this
-
is what I believe the Lord's saying, we don't prophisy marriages, funerals, babies.
-
I don't do prophetic dating, none of that nonsense. No, sir,
-
it's abuse, it's manipulation. It's an orphan trying to get
-
its way. But mature sons serve people to bless the kingdom.
-
Let me tell you something. You want resources to flow
-
in your life. I'm talking resources, not finances. Resources relate.
-
If you want all of these things to flow, if
-
you want to prosper, this is how you have to
-
hold all of your resources open handed. It's all his period.
-
You want to see finances flow through your life, then
-
you better understand. Don't don't submit to a spirit of mammon,
-
which is the love of money, the love of the world.
-
You don't submit to that. We live open handed, and
-
to the degree that you live open handed is going
-
to determine how much you can be entrusted with. And
-
I promise you you're not going to go very far if
-
you're over here hoarding and protecting because you did this.
-
You got here. Nobody helped me. I pulled myself up
-
by my own bootstrap. Nobody was there. I did this,
-
Come on, I remember that I thought it was my
-
will that stopped in the less station that I went
-
through as a kid, because I remember the moment at
-
that age when I said, something's not right here, this
-
is done. I'm done, and I never went to my
-
uncle's house again. And then the Lord showed me years later,
-
I'm the one that strengthened you in that moment to
-
make that choice. Every good and perfect gift comes down
-
from the Father of lights. You know why you haven't
-
received the answer to some of your prayers because he's
-
not gonna give you something he's got to turn around
-
and judge you for. So he's waiting for you to
-
come into a place of maturity as a son and daughter,
-
so then he can give you that and you can
-
actually stewart that and not bring judgment upon yourself with
-
a gift. And then some prayers haven't been answered because
-
he wants to protect you, and you need to stop
-
pouting like little kids over the fact. Well, I it'sked
-
him for five years for this. Well some of that stuff.
-
Do you like that? That's probably how we sound, you know,
-
and it gets up there. But the reality is we
-
need to thank the Lord for unanswered prayers. At times, y'all.
-
He is good. He's better than we think. He is sovereign,
-
he really is. I never thought i'd see Lisa again.
-
I didn't. There was like a year and a half
-
when back when we were like nineteen years old. I
-
didn't say our twenty something like that. I hadn't seen
-
her for at least a year and a half. I
-
was trying to date this other girl named Leah. She
-
is anyways, don't need to expound on that. That goes
-
south in a hurry. I just saw the I just
-
saw my grave in front of me. See even a
-
fool's considered wise when he doesn't open his mouth. And anyways,
-
all of a sudden she comes back. I get a
-
phone call out of the blue in August of nineteen
-
ninety eight, and I pick up the phone out here, Hey, dork, Hello,
-
I didn't even know who it was. And I was
-
down here in October Halloween weekend in nineteen ninety eight.
-
We started dating, got engaged in March of ninety nine,
-
and married in December ninety nine. And that was over
-
twenty five years ago. So yep. And if you can
-
be in full time ministry together with a church and
-
a nonprofit and not kill each other. You got a
-
pretty good relationship and that right jayres John, you didn't
-
kill him, did you? If you're watching online, I love you, John. Okay,
-
moving on for I get in trouble. The orphan spirit
-
repels their children. The spirit of sonship attracts their children.
-
The orphan spirit has issues with anger and fits of rage.
-
The spirit of sonship rests in the father's ability to
-
control and guide their future. So in other words, Lord,
-
I trust you. Any door you shut, no man can open.
-
Any any door you open, no man can shut. And Jesus,
-
I thank you for closed doors, and I thank you
-
for open doors. I thank you that the world doesn't
-
revolve here. It's not the gospel of Me, it's the
-
gospel of Jesus. The orphan spirit is always in competition
-
with others. The spirit of sonship is always blessing others. Friday,
-
I was roaming about the Kerr County and sewing into
-
some things and blessing people.
-
We were and.
-
I heard the Lord say very clearly, we're in a
-
season of sewing. So pay attention. We're in massive transition
-
right now. Anybody notice things are accelerating like the moment
-
you kind of settle into a season, it's like whoa, whoa, whoa,
-
what's that? Oh, it's a new season. Wait a minute,
-
I just settled into this thing yesterday. But understanding the
-
times and seasons, it's Ecclesiastes chapter three. There's a time
-
for this, and a time for this, and a time
-
for this and a time for this. And Ecclesiastes three
-
is a hallmark chapter if you want to have a
-
mantle of understanding, like the Sons of Izakar. And it's
-
a time to sew. We're in massive acceleration in the
-
body of Christ. We're beginning to see an awakening on
-
the college campuses. God's beginning to move cross denominationally, and
-
we're at a tipping point of this move of God
-
that we have been tarrying for forever that's been prophesied
-
over one hundred years ago. There's even a prophecy out
-
right now, Saint MALKI I believe it is, and it's
-
about Peter the Roman, the next pope potentially, and it's
-
a very interesting prophecy. I can't I can't say that
-
I can get behind it fully because I haven't studied
-
or prayed into it much. But there was a prophecy
-
by an old Catholic mystic. I don't remember exactly what year,
-
but essentially that eleven hundred that this next pope would
-
be Peter the Roman, and the Roman Empire would implode
-
under him. He would be the last pope we'll see.
-
But I know things are getting interesting. I know that
-
when we started this new season of election cycle that
-
we we would absolutely see end times things happening at
-
an accelerated rate. And we are. Things are increasing, birth
-
pains are increasing, and I happen to believe that we're
-
going to rule and rain for a thousand years literally literally.
-
If you're a millennialist and you think that's metaphoric, I'm sorry,
-
but I want my money back. The last comparison the
-
orphan spirit receives, and I wasn't trying to, uh take
-
from the orphan spirit teaching last week, Kylie, the orphan
-
spirit receives their primary identity through material possessions, their physical
-
appearance and activities. You know, it's like all the selfies
-
bam bam, bam bam with a glory app so that
-
way you look thirty five years younger than what you are,
-
and then it's you. And then if you're on the
-
dating app dating website, you get there and you're like,
-
what the heck just happened? What is that? Oh? That
-
was me with the Glory app. The spirit of sonship
-
has their identity grounded in their sonship and their father's affirmation.
-
So in other words, y'all, we're here for the audience
-
of one. Do things in secret, and let God be
-
the one to promote you and bless you openly trust him.
-
It says no good thing will he withhold from those
-
who walk up rightly. So, like Jeremiah, ask for the
-
ancient path, ask for the highway of holiness. Say Lord,
-
show me your way so I can actually know you.
-
We've lived far too long with a with a Western
-
spirituality that knows a whole lot about God but doesn't
-
know him very well. We can tell you all sorts
-
of things about Him, but there's not a whole lot
-
of people moving in the power of God. And I'm
-
telling you right now we're entering into a time whereas
-
you call on your God and I'm gonna call on mine.
-
And the one that answers by fire, he's God. And
-
if you're an orphan. You're not gonna have that boldness
-
on you because you're still trying to figure out whether
-
or not you're actually forgiven. Does he really love me
-
or does he just tolerate me? In fact, a real
-
sign of maturity is when you fall flat on your
-
face and you do something really stupid, and you hop
-
back up and you go, Lord, thank you or forgive
-
me for doing that, and I thank you that I'm forgiven,
-
and hole in you and you start walking back in
-
the same measure of love and affection and affirmation with
-
him as you did before you bit the dust. Because
-
the orphan is gonna go, oh no, oh no, I
-
got to hurried up and go do a bunch of
-
works so I can work my place, work myself back
-
into that place of intimacy with the Lord, because I
-
blew it. Come on, we've all been there. We've all
-
been tempted to start trying to do things for the Lord,
-
thinking somehow we'll get a little more favor from him,
-
sadd Grifthian six eighteen. And I will be a father
-
to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
-
says the Lord, Almighty man. The disciples the first thing
-
they said, Jesus teach us to pray, and he says,
-
what our father. The very first thing you gotta nail
-
down step one is that you are a son and
-
a daughter. Now you're no longer an orphan.
-
Your prayers.
-
Are going to go from pleading and begging to thankfulness
-
and praise, even before it happens, because all of a sudden,
-
now you're connected to God as your father, not just
-
as a friend or a savior or someone who will
-
help you when you screw up. All of a sudden,
-
now your relationship goes from a transactional relationship to actually
-
a relationship of abiding and resting and trusting and feeling
-
the fullness of joy and Him, because the creator of
-
the universe is smiling over you because you are in
-
him and He is in you. And then you can
-
be like David, charge the battlefield, tell Goliath to pound
-
sand and if his brothers want to talk, smack, I
-
got four more stones. Because they didn't have covenant with God.
-
You do.
-
So if the blood speaks a better word, and the
-
old covenant is inferior to the new covenant with what
-
we have with God, where's the slingshots today? Where's us
-
pouring water over stone and it gets set on fire.
-
Where's our heart posture? Like in the Psalms where he's
-
waiting for fire to fall on the morning sacrifice led
-
by a pillar of fire, And fast forward that pillar
-
of fire divides into tongues of fire, and all of
-
a sudden rest upon every single believer. There's so much
-
more for all of us. Do not be like them.
-
For your father knows what you need before you ask him. Y'all,
-
stop acting like orphans. Stop getting on social media pleading
-
and begging for everybody to fund your life. He has you.
-
He's a good father, he loves you. He's not gonna
-
withhold anything from you. I can set here for hours
-
and share testimonies of things. I prayed to the Lord privately,
-
never said a word to anyone, and he answered me.
-
I prayed for a vehicle for over a year because
-
we couldn't afford a second vehicle, never told a soul,
-
and a year later I have a vehicle given to me. Y'all,
-
he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek after you. Now,
-
let me give a cavea out for some of y'all.
-
Get your button a knot. There's nothing wrong with doing
-
like a GoFundMe for missions and stuff like that, So
-
don't please don't twist my words. If you have any complaints,
-
email my brother. He'll handle them for you. Are y'all?
-
Are y'all with me? Though? Because it's it's our heart posture?
-
God is faithful, remember open hands. Are you an orphan?
-
Or you a son or a daughter? Is he your father?
-
Or is he a taskmaster? Are you one hundred percent forgiven?
-
Does his blood speak a better word? Are we just
-
pretending that we've been forgiven? Are we pretending that Jesus
-
is the desire of the nations and he is inside
-
of us? I'm telling you, true authority only flows from
-
you understanding your identity in Him, And you'll never grow
-
up to be a sage in the kingdom if you
-
don't nail this sonship thing down, Because if you are
-
put into a position of influence among people, then you're
-
gonna reproduce after your own kind, and we're gonna have
-
another cycle of orphans as leaders, and then we're gonna
-
have a whole nother cycle of leaders getting exposed for
-
all this stuff because they don't go to their father
-
for comfort Isaiah sixty four to eight. But now, oh Lord,
-
you are our father. We are the clay. Susan did
-
the potter and the clay with the hand, and you
-
are our potter. We are all the work of your hand.
-
You know.
-
The beautiful thing is in the kingdom. You just get
-
to retake tests. It's called going around the mountain. Anybody
-
tired of going around the mountain on some of your tests.
-
Anybody think after about the fifth time around, somehow maybe
-
something is not right with your thinking. Maybe it's not
-
the Lord. You know, we while we were gone across
-
the pond. I'm telling you it was the stone cold
-
reality that my oldest son that he's not a kid anymore,
-
and I'm over here trying to parent him like he's
-
still We're It's like I told Lisa. Lisa and I
-
got in an argument. We're driving in that wrong side
-
of the car, wrong side of the road, and I'm
-
just over here going stay left, stay left, stay left,
-
stay left. Don't go into the right lane. You're gonna
-
have a head on And and and calls over at
-
some church praying, and he decides he's not gonna go
-
with us to the palace. I was like, yes, he's going,
-
I said, Lisa, text him, we're going to that church.
-
And he's get in the car and we're gonna have
-
a family day. And and Lisa's over there texting back
-
and forth. I gotta keep my eyes on the road
-
because the lanes about one tire with wider than the
-
vehicle there. And and she's over and then I hear
-
her go, fine, we're leaving. I said, no, we are not.
-
But I said it like this, No we are not.
-
And she goes, justin, you can't tell him what to do.
-
He's not a little boy anymore. And then I'm over
-
here grieving because my boy grew up. But wouldn't it
-
be weird if he was like, Dad, we wipe my butt, like,
-
acting like he was still a little kid. Dad, I
-
just went to the bathroom. Would you help me? Like,
-
wouldn't that be a little ridiculous, y'all? But that's what
-
we do with God. We I probably said, have eased
-
into that illustration a little bit more. Oh Lord help me.
-
But think about it, like we're over here. We expect
-
God to treat us like little children in so many
-
ways when we've been walking with him for ten or
-
fifteen years, and we freeze in an orphan moment to
-
where we're scared to do the wrong thing because he's
-
gonna punish us. And he's like, son, I trust you.
-
You're not a little boy anymore. And some of y'all
-
need to realize that he doesn't desire to treat you
-
like a five year old. He actually trusts you to
-
make some wise decisions because you've grown up. He knows
-
that he's at the end of all those decisions. And
-
sometimes you got a choice to make, and he's behind
-
either one of them because they're both righteous. Wouldn't he
-
be weird? Like my earlier illustration, my twenty year old
-
son comes to me, Dad just went to the bathroom.
-
Why are you telling me? Just like you're like, why
-
did he just do that? Illustration? Hebrews were in this
-
very place. The Hebrews were there, whoever what we're up,
-
whoever wrote the Book of Hebrews said, I have much
-
to tell you about about who Milkzedek, But you're a
-
heart of hearing. By now. You should be on meat
-
and teachers, but instead you're on milk. So I can't
-
tell you the deeper mysteries of the kingdom because you're
-
still sucking on a bottle, y'all. It's time for us
-
to grow up like It's time for us to stop
-
looking exactly the same way today two years from now.
-
It's time for us to grow up. It's time for
-
us to truly trust him as a good father and
-
to allow him to bring us into a greater revelation
-
of the abundant life in Jesus. It's time for us
-
to realize that he's not punishing us. Most of the time.
-
It's just us reaping what we sowd y'all. You don't
-
like your heart, you don't like your your harvest, change
-
your seeds. Don't blame him because orphans are victims too.
-
It's everybody else's fault. No self responsibility. Where a son says,
-
all right, Dad, what do you need done today? Let's
-
go do it together. All right, So I'm gonna I'm
-
gonna start the land. We're gonna land on time, no turbulence.
-
Maybe a couple more amazing illustrations if if the anointing
-
hits me right, but we'll see. But sons and daughters
-
live by the voice of the Lord. When we are
-
truly being fathered by God. We are literally it says,
-
as many are led by the spirit of God or
-
the sons of God, we're being led by His spirit.
-
And he doesn't always just say go here, go there.
-
Sometimes it's a nudge. I was in a session this
-
past week and I just had a little nudge too.
-
Venmo some funds to this person and without going into
-
any details or anything, that it was a mom and
-
a daughter, and I felt nudge to Venmo the mom
-
to take the daughter to go get her nails done.
-
And then I found out that the daughter, all the
-
week before, all she wanted to do was go get
-
her nails done. In the two days before, mom was
-
trying to figure out how to get her to go
-
get her nails done. And I said, isn't that amazing?
-
God even cares about your nails women. I figured I'd
-
have a whole lot more hallelujahs and amen from the women.
-
But even the small things. The father's heart towards David,
-
after the midst of adultery and murder, is I did
-
this for you. I did this, I pulled you out
-
of here, I did this, and I did this, And
-
had it not been enough, all you had to do
-
was ask me, and I would have given you more.
-
So y'all stop buying the lie of the enemy that
-
he's gonna withhold anything good that you need, because that's
-
a lie. No good thing is he gonna withhold from
-
you when you walk with him. My sheep hear my voice.
-
I know them, and they follow me. I give them
-
eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will
-
snatch them out of my hand. You deal with abandonment,
-
the fear of abandonment. That's your scripture. Nothing can pluck
-
you out of his hand. Nothing. My Father, who has
-
given them to me, is greater than all, and no
-
one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
-
I and the Father are one. So what is Jesus saying.
-
He's standing in front of the disciples and saying, do
-
you see my hands? Nothing can pull you out of them.
-
If we would spend more time beholding, abiding solitude and
-
just letting the reality of who He is with us
-
wash over us, so much of the nonsense that we
-
freak out about because the enemy is asked shadows on
-
these issues to make them twice as big as they
-
really are. I heard this, said the other day. You understand,
-
when it comes to spiritual warfare, God and Satan are
-
not in a fight. Y'all know that, right, not even
-
a contest. Satan's fight is with us. He's attacking the
-
one thing that he knows God holds dearly. And the
-
moment when we feel tempted to act like orphans, all
-
you gotta do is go back and look at the
-
cross that price was for you. And if the Father
-
has heaven go bankrupt and God becomes a man and
-
he pays that price, do you think getting your bills
-
paid is a big deal. Yeah. We work for such
-
temporal stuff so much of the time because we are
-
thinking in earthly terms and not heavenly, and then we're
-
getting earthly results. And then we're doing it with an
-
orphan mindset and our own strength, and then wondering why
-
we don't see Heaven fall down and explode over what
-
we're doing because we're doing it. We are acting like orphans,
-
and we're getting an orphan result. Genesis three, man bites
-
the dust man, begins to live their life based on
-
their perspective of good and evil, and no longer the
-
voice of the Father. Now they begin to live their
-
life based on of avoiding punishment, rejection, abandonment, fear of man,
-
fear of betrayal, fear of rejection, fear of loss. And
-
then they can't hear. They no longer hear the voice
-
of the Father. What did he do on the very
-
cusp of sin entering into humanity? What was the father's reaction?
-
He didn't burn the garden down. He came in the
-
same exact time and the cool of the day. Adam,
-
where are you? They were hiding, just like when we
-
get sent in our lives, we hide from church, we
-
hide from people that love us. We actually hide from
-
the one that wants to set us free, which makes
-
no sense. And then we sow our own fig leaves
-
of shame to cover our sin because we forgot that
-
we're actually a son and a daughter that's eternally forgiven
-
by the blood of Jesus, and that he was the
-
lamb slain before the foundations of the earth. He's dealt
-
with your sin, now he's dealing with righteousness. When we
-
live from the tree of knowledge of good and evil
-
rather than the voice of the Father, we become the
-
judge of what is right and wrong, and soul leads
-
us number two, living in the love and security of
-
the father. First on four, There's no fear in love.
-
Look at the person next to you and say, there's
-
no fear in love. So why do we try to
-
parent our kids with fear? Why do we use fear
-
to parent our kids? Why do we want them to fear? Listen?
-
God does not punish immaturity, He corrects it. He punishes
-
rebellion massive difference. He will punish rebellion, but he corrects immaturity.
-
Could you imagine I'm you know, Cole, he's like six'. Three,
-
Now i'm, like you're gonna listen to. Me but when
-
he was on his bicycle in the training wheels and
-
we take the training wheels off and he's riding his
-
bike and all of a sudden he falls over on the. Bicycle,
-
MAN i can't believe you. Fell get your butt, Up
-
now do it? Again and, no what do we do
-
as as as parents when our kid there they fall
-
off the bike because they're learning to do something they've
-
never done. Before we're, like, man that's, awesome let's do it.
-
Again and we father. Them we mother, them we encourage.
-
Them we don't break their spirit because they it's like
-
When peter, Says lord of, you command me to come. Out.
-
Listen he's the only disciple that had the hutzvah to
-
get out of the, boat, Right and he's walking To
-
jesus and it says the waves were, contrary but he
-
was walking to, Him and what's it say that says
-
all of a sudden he he starts to doubt why
-
because he would See jesus on the top of the,
-
wave and that he wouldn't see him between the. Waves
-
then he would see him on the top of the.
-
Wave and it's in our immaturity when we're between the
-
waves and we can't see him the way we, want
-
where he's actually establishing faith in that, moment because what
-
is seen is not. Faith faith is the vehicle to
-
get you. There and when you're on the top of the,
-
wave you don't need. Faith he's. There but when you're
-
between the waves and you're in the storm and the
-
other disciples are peeing their pants because they're scared to
-
death and you're on the, water do you Think jesus
-
was mad when he, Said, peter why'd you? Doubt, No he's,
-
like you were doing, amazing, man why'd you? Doubt he
-
wasn't angry at. Him but yet when we start doing
-
something new That he's called us, to when we, fumble we,
-
fall we mess, up something doesn't go. Right we're over
-
here fearing. Punishment When god's Going you're doing, Awesome get,
-
up let's go do it. Again fear keeps us in
-
hiding rather than. Abiding fear's. Voices voices is. Accurate fear's voice,
-
says you will be punished if you go To. God
-
fear is the absolute driving force behind an orphan, spirit
-
and love is the driving force behind. SUNSHIP i prayed
-
for six or at least two, months that The lord
-
would speak To coal over some theological. ISSUES i wasn't
-
happy with that he was. Pursuing and we're. Arguing cole's really,
-
sharp like too. Sharp the boy would try, to like
-
theologically argue his way out of getting in trouble as a.
-
Kid and uh and and When john and And Mark
-
dupot and all These bonnie and all these people, Come
-
cole set there at the table and carry on deep
-
theological conversations with. Them and So i'm, Like, lord speak to,
-
him give him a, dream give him a. Vision, lord
-
he'll hear, you he'll listen speak to, him you know what.
-
Happened you want to know what happened on our. Trip
-
The lord doesn't speak To. Cole he Gives dad a
-
dream and Gives dad wisdom on how to parrot coal
-
and and and corrects me in the. Dream the interpretation
-
of the dream was he doesn't need a, profit he
-
needs the father's heart and you got to build a
-
bridge of. Grace See i'm really good at holding the pump, line,
-
right that's my. Vein but he's, like, yeah, ANYWAYS i
-
would go into the, dream but it's too. Late but.
-
Yeah it was like there was this bridge built AND
-
i touched the. Bridge Chris vallas had built the bridge
-
in the, dream AND i touched it and it went
-
into pieces AND i, thought, oh, MAN i, Said, Chris i'm.
-
Sorry he's, like, oh, no big. Deal and he pulls
-
this thing at all locks the bridge locks back together
-
and then there's five pieces, missing and he, Goes i'll
-
let you put those. In five is the number of.
-
Grace the father's heart builds a bridge of grace for.
-
Connection and there are times that it's not about. Being
-
you can be right to the point where you have no.
-
Connection are you with me to having, board it's, like,
-
OH i hear, You, LISA i feel. You y'all hear.
-
This you can be right to the point of no.
-
Connection you can win an, argument but what's the. Price
-
we can get so laser focused on things in this,
-
life and we can begin to think that certain things
-
are so important that we're willing to lose the relationship
-
to prove or. Right and that's not what The lord.
-
Did that's not what he. Does do you understand there's
-
no one in this building right now that when you
-
get To heaven and stand Before, jesus he's gonna go
-
your theology was. Flawless, no every one of. US i
-
Think i'm right a lot of times on the iological, issues, Right,
-
LIKE i study, hard And i'm, like, OH i know
-
that we're all gonna be surprised at what we thought
-
we knew in different. AREAS i promise, you you, know
-
just like he's gonna you're gonna get to have any.
-
Man i'd never seen a gift of prophecy like. That. Ever,
-
no he's not impressed with what he gave, us. Y'all
-
he gave you those, gifts and some of y'all are
-
afraid to use your gift because you're afraid to mess.
-
Up and that's also not understanding your identity as a
-
son and a. Daughter some of y'all need to get
-
out of the. Boat can you hear the waves saying
-
walk on. Me it's time we're Hitting daniel? Eleven, y'all
-
those who know Their god are going to do great.
-
Exploits you call on Your, god And i'll call on.
-
Mind and the one that answers by, fire He's. God
-
we are getting into those. Days we will get into
-
those days in this. Nation you will have showdowns in
-
the streets Of. America And god's power is going to
-
be on. Display. Period and even though the prophetic movement
-
is in shambles right, Now god's raising up another generation
-
of prophets that will carry The father's, heart have, integrity
-
and preach the word Of god with authority and. Accuracy
-
and those words will come to, pass and you'll see
-
a generation of prophets rise up in the near future
-
that they will carry the fear of The lord to
-
such a degree that when they, come you will feel
-
the fear of The. Lord and he is in the
-
midst of pruning his. Bride and SO i, say cut, Me,
-
LORD i want to look like. You let's, Stand, michael
-
can you hop on the? Key the keys more than, one?
-
Preferably all? Right, Uh i'm, sorry. Y'all three minutes, past
-
but that's the number of The, Trinity so that's. Good,
-
okay should have gone eight new. Beginnings, okay Now i'm
-
really gonna land the. Plane, no can you unmute the? Keys?
-
Dale oh you're. Good, okay come, on, maestro there you.
-
Go all, right if the prayer teens will come, forward
-
not everybody can come at.
-
Once.
-
Okay you don't want to put too much pressure on, you.
-
Y'ALL i just want to challenge you this.
-
Morning there's no doubt that when we hear messages like
-
this from whoever's teaching, them we all have areas that
-
we're learning to be sons and daughters. In SO i
-
want to encourage, you if, not if as the as
-
The Holy spirit moved on your hearts during this, time
-
come up for, prayer that we don't have these prayer
-
teens up here just to look good.
-
Like they want to work for the.
-
Kingdom they want to, Pray they want to get in
-
agreement with, you and there's this isn't a walk of.
-
Shame coming up for prayer is not a walk of, shame.
-
Y'all and you don't have to, be you, know fearful Or,
-
oh what's so and?
-
So who gives a? Fly and? Flip what so and so?
-
Thinks it's your relationship With jesus that you care, about
-
that you're, cultivating that you're wanting deeper intimacy.
-
With and if you don't know him this, morning don't.
-
Leave don't leave not knowing, him.
-
Because you'll never have a shot at walking with him
-
as your father if you.
-
Don't it's so, important y'all that the.
-
Fullness of what The lord desires of us can never
-
be lived out when we're still trying to figure out
-
if we really belong to, him does he really love,
-
us does he really really? Care is he really as
-
good as he says he?
-
Is, father you are.
-
Good we can trust you with our. Kids we can
-
trust you with our, finances we can trust you with our,
-
careers we can trust you with our, Health we can
-
trust you in every way because you are. Good, lord
-
forgive us for all the times that we have acted
-
like orphans instead of your, kids when we've taken matters
-
into our own hands to bring about our own promotion
-
or bring about our own, Breakthrough, lord at the expense of. Others,
-
JESUS i thank you that if we've seen, you we
-
have seen The. Father there is no. Difference So, father
-
would you touch each one of us? Again would you
-
pour out your spirit afresh again over? Us? Lord would
-
you move inside of? Us would you bring order where there's.
-
Chaos would you bring healing where there's. Wounds would you
-
bring love where there's. Fear would you bring light where there's.
-
Darkness would you bring sight where there's. Confusion would you
-
give us eyes to see and ears to, hear a
-
heart that, receives that you would knock the calluses off our,
-
souls that you would pull down our, strongholds that you
-
would just infuse us with your heart for others In jesus'.
-
Name some of y'all just need to come up and
-
let go. Stuff some of y'all literally need to come
-
up and surrender things that you've been holding. Onto some
-
of you all got fleshly pacifiers that you need.
-
To exchange this.
-
MORNING i just want to wait here for a. MINUTE
-
i don't want TO i don't want to pass up this.
-
Invitation M.
-
Hm, jesus would you break the fear off of every
-
one of, Us.
-
Lord.
-
The fear of, man the fear of, disappointment the fear of. Failing,
-
lord you, said deep pries under deep at the roar
-
of your. Waterfall, father we want your. Heart we want
-
to see you. Move we want to see you move
-
in our. Schools we want to see you move in our.
-
Region we want to see you move in this. State
-
we want to see you move in this. Nation, lord
-
we want to see you move like we have never
-
seen you move. Before, lord that you would stir a
-
holy hunger inside of us that cannot be fulfilled by the,
-
world that cannot be fulfilled by anything this world has to. Offer,
-
lord we are calling to. You we are asking that
-
you would move on our. Behalf that you would move
-
mightily among our Midst, lord that you would cause your
-
name to be remembered in this. Place that you would
-
cause your name to be remembered in our. Families, lord
-
that you would restore, Relationships that you would restore. Family,
-
lord that you would bring salvation to. Households that you
-
would break. Through, lord that you would break in and
-
break through and where people have lost. Hope that you
-
would restore hope where people have been, depressed, bound chained.
-
Up that you would come in right Now lord and.
-
Begin to, break to begin to release the breaker.
-
Anoints me over this house right.
-
Now, lord that you would cause a hunger to stir
-
up in this.
-
Community, lord that can only be.
-
Thank you for.
