  1. Joy listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week.

  2. We hope you enjoyed this message from Justin Carpenter.

  3. Can you hear me? Now?

  4. I had a child ask me how old are you

  5. a couple of minutes ago, and I said how old

  6. do you think I am? And he said six. I

  7. was like, yes, I've had a hard six years. But

  8. so I am not going to teach on what I

  9. did for service.

  10. I don't feel like I'm supposed to. So if you

  11. were in here first.

  12. Service, you get to double dip and hear two different teachings,

  13. so hopefully one of them sticks. Did I already tell

  14. y'all about my amazing mental health day trip on Friday?

  15. Okay? See, probably need another one.

  16. Because it's only been an hour and fifteen minutes and

  17. I was going to repeat my story. I want to

  18. encourage y'all for those that can make it next week

  19. or this coming Saturday, especially if you're interested in helping

  20. walk alongside of people in this region over the next

  21. honestly couple of years for sure, because it comes in waves.

  22. A lot of times, but.

  23. Having the tools in your toolbox, understanding how Jesus can

  24. come in and heal trauma and deal with grief. Prayer, ministry,

  25. inn healing is not the only tool, but it is

  26. absolutely a foundational tool that, in my opinion, other tools

  27. build upon. So in Isaiah sixty one and when it

  28. says that He came to heal the broken heart, set

  29. the captive free, open the door of the prison, that

  30. is first and foremost us, and he desires for us

  31. to be emotionally spiritually healthy. And I can promise you,

  32. over the last month or so, many of you have

  33. probably found where your cracks and your armor are from

  34. the pressure. Right. And I am leaving with my family

  35. this afternoon to go to port A for a few

  36. days to literally clear our heads and get some rest

  37. and prayer and recharge, and we'll be back. We'll be

  38. back on Thursday. But take pictures.

  39. There will be no.

  40. Social media posting unless you see the front of my

  41. feet in front of the beach. That's about it, y'all.

  42. But Jesus said, in this life you're going to have trouble.

  43. How many wish you would have like capitalized that bold

  44. print and just took one page for it. In this

  45. life you'll have trouble. But take heart, I've overcome so

  46. in the midst of your faith being tested, in the

  47. midst of the enemy overplaying his hand, we have an

  48. ability to cultivate a life of overcoming. I want to

  49. encourage you, and I've said this, and I don't mean

  50. to be a Debbie downer or anything, but in some ways, y'all,

  51. it's not going to get easier. As the birth pains

  52. begin to increase and we get closer to the return

  53. of Jesus these the earth is gonna groan, right. It

  54. says that the earth is groaning for the manifestation of

  55. the Sons of God, and we are literally I mean,

  56. we just had the sixth strongest earthquake in recorded history.

  57. We are seeing.

  58. Geological occurrences. I mean, we have volcanoes going off, earthquakes, flooding,

  59. and I really believe that a part of what we're

  60. supposed to be doing in the days ahead, which we're

  61. going to be praying into, is actually have a first

  62. responders as a part of Cross Kingdom Ministries.

  63. And just like.

  64. Just like people have come from all over to help

  65. our community, we can have a storehouse and we can

  66. help others around the country. So I want to I

  67. want to shift gears and I actually want to talk

  68. to you about the heart of a warrior, because we're

  69. in this unique place right now where we have a

  70. hammer in one hand and we have a sword in

  71. the other, where this is a knia maya moment. God

  72. is calling us to rebuild physically spiritually, but he's also

  73. calling us to a much higher level of spiritual warfare.

  74. And we need to know when we're supposed to use

  75. the hammer and when we're supposed to use the sword.

  76. We need to understand that we don't clunk people over

  77. the head with the hammer. We're building people, right We

  78. want to build big people. And flesh and blood is

  79. not our fight. We don't wrestle against flesh and blood.

  80. And we all need to be reminded of that in

  81. the season. And we all need to have grace, mercy

  82. and understanding with each other. I can guarantee you every

  83. one of you are gonna bump into each other's grieving process.

  84. In the days ahead. Give grace to each other.

  85. Y'all have like put yourself in the other person's shoes.

  86. Are you with me?

  87. It's so Love covers a multitude of sin, faith, hope,

  88. and love. The greatest is love, and and there's last

  89. time I checked, every single person in this room, including me, need.

  90. The blood of Jesus. Amen.

  91. My leaders are like, yes, yes, justin amen. Amen. But

  92. we're all locking arms in this season and we're gonna

  93. run together. We're gonna we're gonna be the hands and

  94. feet of Jesus, and we're gonna build as a wise

  95. master builder because we're gonna build with him. So I'm

  96. one twenty seven those that build that the Lord builds

  97. the house, right, unless he builds the house, those that

  98. labor labor in vain. The last thing we want to

  99. do is be building in vain. What does it mean

  100. to build in vain? It means anything you're building that

  101. He didn't call you to build, then it's vanity.

  102. It's vain.

  103. But when you align yourself with his heart and his will,

  104. because you wake up every morning and you bury your cross,

  105. you feel the splinters of your cross, then your position

  106. to start that day out walking in the kingdom. Jeremiah

  107. twenty eleven says, but the Lord is with me as

  108. a dread warrior. Therefore my persecutors will stumble, they will

  109. not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they

  110. will not succeed their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.

  111. You gotta love these old covenant prophets.

  112. You know what I'm saying.

  113. But Jeremiah, in fact, go to Jeremiah Jeremiah three. Believe.

  114. And if you're wondering if I had this planned out,

  115. absolutely not.

  116. So here we are. Let's go on an adventure.

  117. Actually, let me back up Jeremiah one. Now, the word

  118. of the Lord came to me, saying, before I formed

  119. you in the womb, I knew you, and before you

  120. were born, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet

  121. to the nations. Then I said, ah, Lord God, behold,

  122. I I do not know how to speak, for I'm

  123. only a youth. But the Lord said to me, do

  124. not say I'm only a youth. For to all to

  125. whom I send you.

  126. You shall go.

  127. That that's voluntold. If you're wondering about that, you shall go.

  128. And whatever I command you you shall speak. Do not

  129. be afraid of them, for I will deliver you, says

  130. the Lord.

  131. Here's the party says.

  132. Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth,

  133. and the Lord said to me, behold, I've put my

  134. word words in your mouth, y'all. Even in the New Covenant,

  135. we are encouraged to speak His word, and that we're

  136. literally supposed to be speaking the oracles of God, every

  137. one of us. Why do you think he's sat there

  138. and talked about prophecy above all the gifts. I'd rather

  139. you prophisey because it's for edification, exhortation and comfort of

  140. the church. And if y'all need some encouragement this morning,

  141. anybody need to strengthen your spirit?

  142. Do y'all need to strengthen your spirit? Okay?

  143. Okay, he says, sees, sees, sees, see. I've set you

  144. this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up

  145. and to break down, to destroy, and to overflow, overthrow,

  146. to build and to plant. Y'all, we are building right now.

  147. Ecclesiastes talks about the times and seasons. Right there's a

  148. time for this, a time for that. We are rebuilding,

  149. but we are rebuilding spiritually. We are going to be

  150. in the process of rebuilding people's hearts. And God desires

  151. to raise up an end time army like Joel's army.

  152. He really does We're in.

  153. I believe wholeheartedly that if he pulled back the curtain

  154. in this moment, and we knew how little time we may.

  155. Have left before his return.

  156. A lot of things that we have been prioritizing in

  157. our life would diminish quickly. That person that you keep

  158. putting off by not telling them about Jesus and sharing

  159. the Gospel with them, all of a sudden, it might

  160. get a whole lot more important because I don't know

  161. about you, but I don't want a single person in

  162. my life lost that I didn't at least try to

  163. share the Gospel with.

  164. I don't want to see.

  165. Them at the end. And they go, why didn't you

  166. love me?

  167. What? What do you mean?

  168. I didn't love you? You didn't love me enough to

  169. tell me about the Gospel. You didn't love me enough

  170. to tell me about eternity. I think it was the

  171. you know, pen and teller. He says, how much do

  172. you have to hate a person to not tell them

  173. about the Gospel of you're a believer, and he's an atheist,

  174. and he said, if you really believe this, y'all, we

  175. are gonna have to get very comfortable with difficult times

  176. and tests. We're gonna have to be very comfortable and

  177. we're gonna have to I said this last week, We're

  178. gonna have to get comfortable with the sufferings of Christ

  179. and understand that we're blessed and His glory rest upon

  180. us when we share.

  181. In his sufferings.

  182. I know it's not popular, and I sound just like

  183. that and my intercessory whining time at times. That's I

  184. think that when we're whining to the Lord, I think

  185. that's what he hears.

  186. We're all like Lord in heaven.

  187. It's like, thank you Lord. But he said he's like

  188. a dread warrior. David and first Samuel twenty two to

  189. two did not have a great crowd of men come

  190. to him. In fact, you would you would probably be like, oh,

  191. e thee. It says in everyone who was in distress,

  192. and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was

  193. bitter and soul gathered to him. That just sounds like

  194. a good pastoring time, you know what I'm saying. Could

  195. you hear that distress, debt, bitter of soul? And they

  196. gathered to him and he became commander over them, and

  197. there were with him about four hundred men. But you

  198. understand that David carried something inside of him and because

  199. these other four hundred men got around him.

  200. That was not their description.

  201. In the end, they went from bitterness, indebted, just not

  202. in a great place. Right. They're having a bad day,

  203. probably weren't smiling, and they were upset. And when they

  204. got around David and his heart after God, that began

  205. to rub off on him, and all of a sudden

  206. they became David's mighty men. They weren't mighty in the beginning.

  207. Don't despise small beginnings. I don't care where you're at.

  208. Promotion comes in the battlefield. Promotion comes in the battlefield.

  209. It doesn't come when you're hanging out at the beach.

  210. There's nothing wrong with the beach. I just want to say,

  211. I love the beach.

  212. It's amazing.

  213. First Chronicles twelve eight, some gas joined David at the

  214. stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained

  215. for battle, who could handle shield and spear, whose faces

  216. were like the faces of lions. And we're as swift

  217. as gazelle's on the mountains. So in other words, it's

  218. like when I'm working out. That's the description of me.

  219. I'm just making sure y'all are listening. But and I

  220. mentioned this about Jonathan a few weeks ago. But y'all,

  221. in the midst of tension, his plans are not going

  222. to be your plans. The way he desires to work

  223. things together are probably going to be way higher than

  224. what you're thinking. In the moment right now, all of us,

  225. whether you were affected directly or indirectly by what we

  226. just went through, this entire community has been affected. There

  227. are people carrying burdens like easy and in the in

  228. the entire city is affected. So in this moment we

  229. want to say, Lord, how do you want to build?

  230. Lord? How do you want to change things?

  231. Lord?

  232. Who do you want me to partner with?

  233. I believe I said this first service, But out of

  234. all the meetings that I've been asked to go into

  235. in the last three weeks or so, I didn't ask

  236. for any of those meetings. All we did as a body,

  237. as a tribe, was we showed up from day one

  238. and started serving those around us and serving with excellence.

  239. And because of that, and because of serving with excellence

  240. and trying to bring.

  241. A clear communication in the midst of stuff, doors begin

  242. to open. And now we get to be We get

  243. to continue after this little six week pause to be

  244. a part of watching West Kerr rebuild. You know, eighty

  245. five percent of the damage it was of in Kerr

  246. County was in West Kerr. And I mean, y'all, I

  247. told you all this morning about the Community Foundation, right, yeah,

  248. who wasn't here when I first started? Okay, Well, for

  249. those of you that didn't raise your hand, the Community

  250. Foundation Friday gave us a grant for two hundred thousand

  251. dollars and so we're able to keep trucking with applications

  252. to help flood victims, which.

  253. Is an awesome thing.

  254. And to this date we've been able to give out

  255. over two hundred grand and over thirty applicants. And so

  256. if y'all know folks that have not been helped, well,

  257. like this is all going into our community to the people.

  258. So that's an awesome privilege that we have.

  259. So but in the midst of.

  260. Turbulent times, God needs warriors, He needs people with the

  261. heart of a warrior. Jonathan. I love Jonathan's battle plan.

  262. I've talked about this for Samuel fourteen. Jonathan said to

  263. the young man who carried his armor, come let us

  264. go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised Would it

  265. be cool if we still talk like that, and maybe

  266. that the Lord will work for us. For nothing hinder

  267. nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or

  268. by few. And his armor bearer said to him, do

  269. all that's in your heart, do as you wish. Behold,

  270. I'm with you, heart and soul. Then Jonathan said, behold,

  271. we will cross over.

  272. To the men.

  273. We will show our selves to them. And if they

  274. say wait until we come to you, then we will

  275. stand still in our place and we will not go

  276. up to them. But if they say come up to us,

  277. then we will go up. For the Lord has given

  278. them into our hand the worst battle plan in the

  279. history of humanity.

  280. Would you agree? And this shall be the sign to us.

  281. So both of them showed themselves to the garrison of

  282. the Philistines.

  283. I just have a picture of them, like moon in

  284. them or something.

  285. And the Philistines said, look, Hebrews are coming out of

  286. the holes where they are hidden, where they've hidden themselves.

  287. And the men of the garrison hailed Jonathan and his

  288. armor bearer and said, come up to us, and we'll

  289. show you a thing. And Jonathan said to his armor bearer,

  290. come up after me, for the Lord has given them

  291. into our hand y'all. This is a horrible idea. There

  292. is nothing logically sound about this army, this battle plan.

  293. Like I would have been like, hey, dude, if they

  294. say we're coming down, we got a chance. Not climb

  295. the cliff and take a chance of them throwing rocks

  296. on your head while you're trying to go up the cliff,

  297. and think, oh, yeah, that's brilliant. That's got to be

  298. the Lord. And so Jonathan climbed up on his hands

  299. and feet, and his armor bearer after him, and they

  300. fell before Jonathan and his armor bearer killed them after him.

  301. And that first strike which Jonathan and his armor bearer

  302. made killed about twenty men within as it were half

  303. a furl's length and an ink and an acre of land.

  304. And there was a panic in the camp, in the

  305. field and among the people. You know why from the

  306. nat I mean, obviously you know why from the natural

  307. why this looks like a ridiculous plan.

  308. But why it was? He was able to tell it

  309. was the.

  310. Lord because he understood the principle that nothing's possible with men,

  311. but all things are possible with the Lord. And so

  312. he set his heart to follow the Lord and live

  313. a life of impossible. He didn't want to just visit

  314. the impossible. He actually wanted to live his entire life

  315. in the impossible and give God plenty of opportunities.

  316. To show up.

  317. Y'all, we play it safe so much, so much, and

  318. then we wonder why we don't see the Lord show

  319. up in crazy, magnificent ways because we're so many times

  320. calculating every step we make and call it faith, when

  321. really it's just the wisdom of the world.

  322. Are y all with me?

  323. Daniel eleven thirty two to thirty five? Those who do

  324. wickedly against the Covenant, he shall corrupt with flattery.

  325. Who's that.

  326. The one that's going to corrupt with flattery? But the

  327. people who know their God shall be strong and carry

  328. out great exploits. And those of the people who understand

  329. shall instruct many. Yet for many days they shall fall

  330. by the sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. Now

  331. when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help,

  332. But many shall join them by intrigue.

  333. What does that mean?

  334. These exploits are going to be so crazy that people

  335. are going to go who are these people? And they

  336. literally just show up and they join because they're intrigued.

  337. What are these Jesus followers up to?

  338. And all of a sudden they start hearing all these

  339. testimonies of great exploits that the Body of Christ is doing.

  340. Because they've got a.

  341. Heart of a warrior, and they're living in the impossible

  342. and giving Jesus plenty of opportunity to show up on

  343. their behalf. They're not running from the battlefield, they're running

  344. towards it. And some of those of understandings shall fall

  345. to refine them, purify them, and make them white until

  346. the time of the end, because it is still for

  347. the important time.

  348. What does it look like.

  349. For you in this moment to say, Lord, I haven't

  350. seen this, let's go do it. Lord, show me where

  351. you want to do this? Fill in the blank. Lord,

  352. I want to rebuild this, but I don't want to

  353. do it in vain. I want to see you build.

  354. Where do you want to build?

  355. Lord? Who do you want to touch? Today? Maybe you

  356. get stuck.

  357. At the grocery store and you know it's a super

  358. long line, and you're irritated because you're late to get

  359. back someplace, And all of a sudden you get you

  360. quiet your soul just enough and he goes, hey, the

  361. person in front of you suffering from depression, I want

  362. you to pray for them, because I'm going to remove

  363. it right now. See, instead of instead of having a

  364. mindset that is full of unbelief and doubt, we have

  365. the mind of Christ that's actually full of faith and

  366. looks at the impossible as possible. Because the one who

  367. created it all is inside of you. He's the one

  368. that makes axe handles float. He's the one that opened

  369. the eyes of Hagar. And she sees a well that's

  370. not there in the natural, and she goes and pulls

  371. water from that well and gives water to her son,

  372. And even though nobody else saw it, she had access

  373. to it. But it takes It takes a warrior mindset

  374. to have the discipline to think like Jesus and to

  375. continue to think like him every day you wake up.

  376. It's a warrior's mindset that says, I'm going to get

  377. in the word right away this morning, so I don't

  378. have stinking thinking right so that I can think like Jesus,

  379. so I can get well acquainted with his ways, so

  380. that when the opportunity arises in front of me, it

  381. may be cloaked to those around me, But I see

  382. a door of encounter and I'll go through it. I

  383. think there's a huge invitations as he's restoring things and

  384. rebuilding things in this moment. As eye has not seen,

  385. ear has not heard, neither has entered into our hearts

  386. where the Lord hasn't stored for us, but he is

  387. revealing those things to us as children. I want to

  388. challenge you. I know this is a hard moment. I

  389. know this is a tough moment, and everybody's fighting different

  390. battles and it's been a very turbulent time, but I

  391. want to challenge you to dream with God in some ways. Literally,

  392. our land has been cleared out, and it's like a

  393. fresh blueprint.

  394. What is the Lord wanting to do right now?

  395. And I don't mean that in a please don't mistake

  396. that blueprint statement, but that we're rebuilding spiritually physically. The

  397. enemy moved, but he doesn't get the last word. He

  398. came in like a flood standards being raised. So what

  399. does it look like to have a warrior's heart and

  400. be a part of that standard to see the justice

  401. of God and see things that.

  402. Just really ticks the enemy off?

  403. Would have all three hundred of us just said, you

  404. know what, Lord, can we just tick the enemy off

  405. when we wake up tomorrow. I think that's a brilliant plan. Personally,

  406. charge Hell with a water.

  407. Pistol, is what I like to say.

  408. But that means we have to have the right perspective.

  409. We have to view things from God's perspective, which means

  410. we have to rise up above what we're looking at

  411. and say, Lord, what do you sing?

  412. What are you saying? What are you doing?

  413. Because it says He's always moving Right now, God is

  414. actively moving on our behalf when we wait for him.

  415. He's moving in your life right now. You have no

  416. idea how many acts of God, how many angels were

  417. released to get you here in.

  418. This very moment. I can tell you this.

  419. That Friday morning, when I went to go to the

  420. to move blinds, Matt tells me, Oh, I had a

  421. dream last night we got in a car wreck. Are

  422. we crashed the truck? I'm like, yeah, no, let's pray.

  423. So we pray, and then we still blow out two

  424. tires and ruin two rims and then blow another tire

  425. out on the second trailer. So it's probably a good

  426. thing that we prayed.

  427. I'm just saying, y'all.

  428. But the point is we have a real enemy out there,

  429. and I can't give you all the wise. I can't

  430. give you why this is allowed to happen and this

  431. isn't And all I can tell you is that in

  432. this moment, I'm staying locked arm in arm with Jesus

  433. and I'm saying, Lord, what is your word? What do

  434. you want to say over this? How do you want

  435. to minister to that person in front of me that

  436. just lost everything?

  437. Lord?

  438. How do you want to heal this person his heart

  439. who was clinging to a tree for dear life. That's

  440. what I care about, because we're building people, and we

  441. can't ever forget that. We're called to build people first

  442. and foremost, and right now it's time to build. It's

  443. time to continue to step in the gap, standing in

  444. the gap, which was the prophetic theme over this year,

  445. and fighting for those.

  446. That cannot fight for themselves. How many people need help

  447. fighting right now.

  448. And that only happens when we have a proper mindset

  449. and we have a heart like a warrior. There were

  450. the names of the men whom Moses sent out to

  451. spy out the land, and Moses called Hoshiah, the son.

  452. Of Nun Joshua.

  453. Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan,

  454. and said to them, go up into the nageb and

  455. go up into the hill country Kerrville, I mean hill country,

  456. and see what the land is, and whether the people

  457. who dwell in it are strong or weak, whether they

  458. are few or many, and whether the land that they

  459. dwell in is good or bad, and whether the cities

  460. that they dwell in are camps or strongholds, and whether

  461. the land is rich or poor, and whether there are

  462. trees in it or not. Be of good courage and

  463. bring some of the fruit of the land. Now the

  464. time was the season of the first ripe grapes. Y'all

  465. they bring back. They bring back a deal of grapes.

  466. It takes two men to carry one guy's on the end,

  467. the other guys on the other end. And these great

  468. I mean, I imagine like these grapes were massive, I

  469. mean huge, huge grapes.

  470. And it says that.

  471. And they came to the valley of Eskol and cut

  472. down from their branch with a single cluster of grapes,

  473. and they carry it on.

  474. A pole between the two of them.

  475. They also brought some pomegranates and figs. That place was

  476. called the Valley of Eskol because of the cluster that

  477. the people of Israel cut down from there, and there

  478. literally for forty days spying out this land. And they

  479. came to Moses and Aaron into all the congregation of

  480. the people of Israel in the wilderness of Paran and Kadesh,

  481. and they brought back words of them to all the

  482. congregation and showed them the fruit of the land. I

  483. remember John Paul Jackson sharing a testimony. He was in

  484. Scotland and they were running into problem after problem after problem,

  485. and I mean it was just resistant spiritual warfare. And

  486. I think he'd gotten sick on this trip, all sorts

  487. of stuff happening. And two angels showed up his light cylinders,

  488. two or three of them, and one spoke to him

  489. out of the light, and the angel said, there are

  490. giants in the land, but the grapes are worth it.

  491. What is your perspective? That's a warrior's perspective. And then

  492. he meant this Irish prophet, who he was very didn't

  493. really think the Irish prophet was much of a prophet.

  494. And he goes, yeah, the Lord told me a couple

  495. of things while sitting in me tub, and he started

  496. talking about John Paul Jackson. He goes, yeah, the Lord

  497. told me that you go about prophesion over the world.

  498. And he's like, yeah, I do a little bit. And

  499. and and he said something, and he goes, yeah a

  500. little bit. He goes, Yeah, the Lord told me you'd

  501. be falsely humble. He goes, I am not falsely humble.

  502. He goes, and the Lord told me you'd be stubborn too.

  503. I am not stubborn. Just look at you.

  504. And he goes, And the Lord told me this, He said,

  505. when I tell you this, you'll never doubt ever again

  506. that I hear from him. He said, there's giants in

  507. the land, but the grapes are worth it. True story.

  508. Right now, we're facing a lot of giants in our land, destruction, trauma, grief.

  509. We're facing lots of giants in our land right now,

  510. But the grapes are worth it. But we have to

  511. have the heart of a warrior. We have to have

  512. perseverance in this hour. We got to know when to rest.

  513. We got to know. I say this all the time.

  514. If you're humble, hungry, and teachable, there is no limit

  515. to where God can take you. But it all starts

  516. with humility. He gives grace to the humble, but he

  517. opposes the proud. It says, he will exalt you, he

  518. will lift you up. He knows your address, y'all. He

  519. knows where you sleep, he knows where you're born. He

  520. predetermined the moment, every single one of you. He predetermined

  521. to be here, in this moment, in this season, with

  522. divine destiny over your life. And there's a plan and

  523. a purpose that He has for you right now in Kerville.

  524. And it's not just to sit back and be comfortable,

  525. but it's to have a hammer in one hand and

  526. a sword in the other. So they brought back word

  527. to them and to all the congregation. It showed them

  528. the fruit of the land, and they told them, we

  529. came to the land to which you sent us. It

  530. flows with milk and honey, and it is and this

  531. is its fruit. However, the people who dwell in the

  532. land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large.

  533. And besides, we saw the descendants of a knock there.

  534. That means the Nephalum and the Amalekites dwell in the

  535. land of Negeb, the Hittites, the Jebi sites, the Amorites

  536. dwell in the hill country, and the Canaanites dwell by

  537. the sea, and along the Jordan.

  538. All the Heites were there.

  539. But Caleb quieted the people before Moses said, let us

  540. go up at once and occupy it, for we are

  541. well able to overcome it. See, Caleb had the same

  542. mindset as Jonathan. He looks at a cliff and says, hah,

  543. you guys are toast be there in a second. Then

  544. the men who had gone up with him, we're not

  545. able to go up against the people, for they are

  546. stronger than we are. So they brought to the people

  547. of Israel a bad report of the land that they

  548. had spied out, saying, the land through which we have

  549. gone to spy it out as a land that devours

  550. as inhabitants. And all the people that we saw in

  551. it are of great height. And there we saw the Nephelum,

  552. the sons of an Ok, who come from the Nephalum,

  553. And we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we

  554. seemed to them, if you're gonna slay giants and you're

  555. gonna build in the kingdom. You cannot have grasshopper thinking.

  556. You've got to allow the Lord to take out the

  557. grasshopper thinking. And you got to have the mindset of

  558. a warrior. You got to have the mindset of David.

  559. You got to have the mindset of Caleb of Joshua.

  560. You have to have the mindset of David's mighty men,

  561. where you look at these things and you go, oh,

  562. this is gonna be fun. Lord, what do you want

  563. to do? If you focus on the other Guess what happens?

  564. You end up full of doubt, unbelief, and you run

  565. from your calling. You literally self sabotage the very thing

  566. that God was trying to lead you into, because you're

  567. more focused on the giant.

  568. Than you are the fruit.

  569. So warriors kill fear. No man shall be able to

  570. stand before you all the days of your life, just

  571. as I was with Moses, So I will be with you.

  572. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong

  573. and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit

  574. the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.

  575. God did not give you a spirit of fear, but

  576. of love, power, and a sound mind. And in those

  577. moments when the enemy comes and starts accusing you and

  578. shooting fiery darts and trying to put fear in you,

  579. you go not today, junior. I don't have a spirit

  580. of fear, but love, power and a sound mind. And

  581. it's the love of Jesus that I carry that drives

  582. your assignment away. Only be strong and very courageous. Be

  583. careful to do according to all the law that Moses,

  584. my servant, commanded. You do not turn from it the

  585. right hand or to the left, that you may have

  586. good success wherever you go. Multiple times he told them,

  587. be of good courage, over and over. Be of good courage,

  588. Be strong, be very courageous. He looks at Gideon and says, oh,

  589. mighty man of valor, do you understand, your identity comes

  590. from Jesus and him alone. Don't put your identity into

  591. the hands of men. If I look to you to

  592. tell me who I am, I'm giving you the power

  593. to tell me who I'm not, and that's not happening.

  594. Jesus is the only one that has the ability to

  595. tell you who you are.

  596. Period.

  597. If you reject me, and I know that I'm fully

  598. accepted in Jesus, then that's your problem and not mine.

  599. But to the degree that that rejection hurts just exposes

  600. how much I don't believe that I'm fully accepted and

  601. unrejectable to him. Secular humanism has come so far into

  602. the Church that our theologies are twisted. When Saul became Paul,

  603. no one could change that. It's impartation, it's his identity.

  604. When go on and on, Jacob Israel, you go on

  605. and on and on with every one of these guys,

  606. their name was changed. Well, guess what, y'all, the moment

  607. you stepped into Jesus, the moment you repented of your

  608. sin and said yes to the Lord, you were a

  609. brand new creation, beyond normal.

  610. Do you understand that?

  611. Paul says, why are you acting like mere humans? Do

  612. you not know you're gonna judge angels? There's a mandate

  613. from Heaven on our life to not live naturally. It's

  614. a part of our inheritance in Jesus to see the

  615. impossible bow. And this is what he's calling us to.

  616. We cannot afford to faint in this hour running with men,

  617. because he's called us to run with horses.

  618. One John four eighteen.

  619. Fear involves torment, Since therefore the children share in flesh

  620. and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things,

  621. that through death he might destroy the one who has

  622. the power of death, that is the devil, and deliver

  623. all those who, through fear of death, were subject to

  624. lifelong slavery. Psalm thirty four to four Delivered me from

  625. all my fears Matthew ten twenty eight. Fear of man?

  626. Do you know?

  627. It says that the fear of man is a snare.

  628. It will catch you, and it will keep you from

  629. fulfilling your destiny. And if you don't deal with the

  630. fear of man, once you step into that place, guess

  631. what you will shipwreck your faith. Because that's exactly what

  632. happened to Saul. Because God, because so all feared people

  633. more than he feared God. He went out of kingship

  634. into priesthood, and he and literally the Lord said, I

  635. would have established my kingdom with you. Are you all tracking?

  636. I'm gonna land the plane five minutes safely with no

  637. tires blowing out. And the Lord said to Gideon, the

  638. people are too still too many. I love this. The

  639. Lord says to Gideon, the people are still too many.

  640. You know. Remember he was thinning them down. He said,

  641. take them down to the water, and I'll test them

  642. for you there. And anyone of whom I say to you,

  643. this one shall go with you, shall go with you.

  644. And any one of whom I say to you, this

  645. one shall not go with you, shall not go. So

  646. he brought the people down to the water, and the

  647. Lord said to Gideon, everyone who laps the water with

  648. his tongue as a dog laps, you shall set by himself.

  649. Likewise, everyone who kneels down to drink.

  650. And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands

  651. in their mouths, was three hundred men. But all the

  652. rest of the people knelt down to drink water. What

  653. did he do? He was looking for the warriors. He

  654. was looking for the ones that were trained, that knew

  655. you don't go like this for water. You go like this,

  656. keeping your eyes on the enemy, looking around so that.

  657. You don't get ambushed.

  658. And there were three hundred out of thirty thousand that

  659. had that mindset, three hundred, and he took those three hundred,

  660. and he saved a nation with three hundred people. They

  661. were trained, they were equipped, they knew, they were trained

  662. on the battlefield, and their promotion came on the battlefield.

  663. Don't run from the front line, run to it. Jesus says,

  664. I set a table before you, in the presence of

  665. your enemy.

  666. Come and dine.

  667. Where's your problem, where's your stronghold, where's the habitual sin?

  668. Go look for the table the Lord in the midst

  669. of that, and say, okay, I'm gonna eat from your table.

  670. I'm done eating from the table of demons.

  671. Lord. Oh wait a minute, You want me to sit

  672. down right there? Yeah, let's commune. But there's like five

  673. massive demons right there. Yeah, who cares about them? Come

  674. sit at my table. You're my son, you're my daughter.

  675. Lay your addiction to the side, lay your sexual perversion

  676. to the side.

  677. And come to me.

  678. What is it? What is it you've been battling? What

  679. is the pacifier this morning? Because he's saying, come to

  680. my table and lay all this aside. Warriors strengthen themselves

  681. in the Lord. Remember when all of David's amazing guys,

  682. the four hundred guys, were like.

  683. We're gonna kill him. He's an idiot leader. We should

  684. be leading.

  685. I don't even know what's going on, you know, I'm

  686. just imagining some of the stuff. They're trash talking David,

  687. and David's just going hord what you do to me?

  688. They're not mighty yet?

  689. Are we gonna get there before I die?

  690. And all of a sudden he.

  691. Strengthens himself and the Lord, and then it says, then

  692. he inquired of the Lord? Is that important? Because if

  693. you don't go to God in faith, he's not pleased

  694. and you don't get to hear.

  695. If you believe in him.

  696. You must come in faith. And He's a rewarder of

  697. those who diligently seek him. So he strengthens himself. And

  698. how does he do this? He literally recounts all the

  699. testimonies of how God showed up in his life. And

  700. he starts recounting these testimonies of how the Lord came through,

  701. and all of a sudden, this supernatural strength is starting

  702. to forge inside of him. And even in the midst

  703. of going through all these things, you remember, it says,

  704. taste and see the Lord is good. You remember the testimonies.

  705. Over here, this person was healed, over here, this person

  706. got delivered of a demon. I can literally go through

  707. this room and recount over the last nine years of

  708. how people's lives were completely transformed. A lady over here

  709. one Sunday morning came to church with the intentions of

  710. committing suicide after service, and a word of now about

  711. suicide came forth, and the woman still alive today. You

  712. start to strengthen yourself with his testimonies and what he's

  713. done in your life, and all of a sudden, this strength,

  714. that living water begins to come up.

  715. And now you begin to look at.

  716. The impossible as possible, because now the fear and the

  717. doubt has gone. You punched fear in the face, and

  718. you're looking at that and go, all right, Lord, let's

  719. go warriors, cultivate an overcoming life. And the only way

  720. you're going to overcome is if you learn how to

  721. discipline your disappointments, because if you don't learn how to

  722. discipline your disappointment, your disappointments are going to discipline you.

  723. Hebacchic one one to five. The oracle that I tick

  724. the prophet soul. Oh Lord, how long shall I cry

  725. for help? Then you will not hear or cry to

  726. you violence, and you will not save. Why do you

  727. make me see iniquity? And why do you idly look

  728. it wrong? Destruction and violence are before me. Strife and

  729. contention arise, so the laws paralyzed, and justice never goes forth.

  730. For the wicked surround the righteous. So justice goes forth perverted.

  731. Look among the nations and see wonder and be astonished,

  732. for I am doing a work in your days that

  733. you would not believe if I told you. Again, getting

  734. focused on the disappointments, getting focused on the wrong side

  735. of the coin. And he says, no, son, I'm about

  736. to do a work that you won't even believe. And

  737. this is where we're at in this moment. Yes, the

  738. enemies come in. There has been destruction, there has been death, loss.

  739. We have gone through the ringer.

  740. But he says, I'm doing a work in your days

  741. that you would not believe if I told you. And

  742. I believe that wholeheartedly. So he says, watch and pray.

  743. I'll take my stand and my watch post and station

  744. myself on the tower and look to see what he'll

  745. say to me and what I will answer concerning my complaint.

  746. You been there. That's where we get the intercessory whining from.

  747. And the Lord answered me, write the vision, make it

  748. plain on tablet so he may run who reads it

  749. for still the vision awaits it's appointed time.

  750. It hastens to the end.

  751. It will not lie if it seems slow. If you're going, Lord,

  752. why aren't you moving in a mighty way? Yet, why

  753. aren't you touching this region in a way that literally

  754. touches the nations? Yet wait for it. It will surely come, It.

  755. Will not delay.

  756. Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright

  757. within him. But the righteous shall live by faith. So

  758. have Heaven's perspective, For the earth is filled with the

  759. knowledge of the glory of the Lord. As the waters

  760. cover the sea, and rejoice in trials, give thanks in

  761. all things, thankfulness and contending. These are all characteristics of

  762. what it means to become a dread warrior in the

  763. Kingdom of Heaven. Let me finish with this. I think

  764. one of the most powerful, powerful things we can do

  765. daily to stay healthy mentally and emotionally is thanksgiving. Even

  766. if we can have that spiritual discipline no matter what,

  767. because I can tell you there are things that we

  768. can give thanks for every day of our life. There are.

  769. And when you begin to feel overwhelmed by the trials,

  770. the pressure, the tests, the loss your weapon, in that

  771. moment is not carnal. Your weapon of righteousness in that

  772. moment is God. Thank you, Thank you for your love,

  773. thank you for your goodness, and you give thanks, even

  774. if it's a sacrifice of praise. You start to praise

  775. and thanksgiving and praise, and even if you feel nothing,

  776. you just say, Lord, I feel nothing, but you're worthy.

  777. Thank you Father, Thank you that even in spite of

  778. what I'm feeling right now, it doesn't change who you are. Lord.

  779. I thank you that you are great and powerful and

  780. good and you only give good gifts. Lord, I thank

  781. you that right now you're even turning around things I've

  782. done to myself and to others for my good. That's

  783. how good you are.

  784. Lord.

  785. And you just begin to go into thanksgiv and I

  786. promise you in that moment that will push out the

  787. assignment of that heaviness coming over your mind and heart.

  788. Warriors know how to give thanks, Warriors know how to

  789. praise in the midst of the storm. Warriors know how

  790. to strengthen themselves when their own men want to kill them.

  791. This is the heart of a warrior. Jesus has that heart,

  792. and Jesus is inside of you, and you can do

  793. all things through Him. So we're going to arise and rebuild.

  794. We're gonna have a hammer in one hand, and we're

  795. gonna have a sword in the other, and we're gonna

  796. have the wisdom of God to know when to use

  797. the hammer and when to use the sword. And we're

  798. gonna have the insight and the ability to see so

  799. that on that battlefield, we don't hurt each other, We

  800. only hit the enemy.

  801. Amen.

  802. Let's stand.

  803. Y'all. Good.

  804. Look to the person next to you, so you look

  805. better now than when you came in. Don't say that

  806. to your wife though. Sorry, I was supposed to say

  807. that for if I can get the prayer teams to

  808. come forward.

  809. You know what prayer teams.

  810. I wasn't crying because nobody was showing up. I mean,

  811. it just needs needs you all to come. If you're

  812. on the prayer team, come forward, please, you know, y'all.

  813. Scripture says your life is a vapor. It appears for

  814. a little while and then vanishes. Our home is eternal,

  815. and there there was no pain, there's no suffering, there

  816. is no loss, there is no heartache, there are no tears.

  817. Where we're going, then it's going to be beautiful. But

  818. we're here right now in a fallen world, and a

  819. lot of stinky things happen while we're here. But it's

  820. such a gift to know Jesus. I don't know what

  821. people do right now that don't know the Lord, trying

  822. to go through this life, trying trying to go through

  823. crisis and loss and and just the instability of the nations.

  824. And you might be here this morning finding yourself like

  825. I'm not quite sure if I really really really know Jesus.

  826. Can I encourage you don't leave without coming up here

  827. and saying, hey, you know what I don't I don't

  828. really think I know Jesus, but I want to know him.

  829. I can promise you.

  830. In that moment, you'll actually begin a journey of discovering

  831. who He created you to be, and you'll even begin

  832. to understand yourself better because He created you, He knitted

  833. you together in your mother's womb. So please don't leave

  834. here this morning not knowing where you're headed when you

  835. breathe your last breath on earth. So Father, I just

  836. thank you for your love. I thank you for your goodness.

  837. I thank you that you so loved us, so loved

  838. the world that you gave your only son that whoever

  839. believes in him shall have eternal life, because you didn't

  840. send him into the world to condemn it, but through
