  1. You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week.

  2. We hope you enjoyed this message from Justin Carpenter.

  3. Oh well, oh, so, as I was saying, I'm thankful

  4. to be up and about at least, I got sick

  5. with the flu last Friday, and uh, unfortunately I got

  6. hit Monday. And I'll tell you what, y'all, I rarely

  7. ever get sick ever, and I felt like crap.

  8. I mean just it was bad.

  9. And somebody said, well, did you go get tested? Like

  10. why I'm sick. I don't need them to tell me

  11. I'm sick. I know how I feel and I'm not.

  12. I'm not adding to the uh the c game.

  13. That was free.

  14. So so I will sound a little bit like Charles

  15. Bronson as I teach. And because I'm getting over my

  16. last little bit of drainage and cough, you know, I

  17. I've been asking the Lord this week. I had had

  18. a lot of time to sit home, obviously sleep a bunch,

  19. and I was like, Lord, what is it specifically about

  20. Charlie Kirk? Because we have Martyredom happen every day in

  21. this earth. It's just we have been hedged in in

  22. the United States from it. But he wasn't just assassinated.

  23. He literally just lost two million dollars a year in

  24. support because he wouldn't back off talking about Jesus everywhere

  25. he goes.

  26. And so he was martyred, period. And uh. And you know,

  27. I know all.

  28. Sorts of zillions of conspiracies are flying around, but I

  29. will tell you that.

  30. It intrigues me. There's I don't.

  31. Ask the Lord for revelation on a lot of things,

  32. like I could care less about always talking about like

  33. the political prophets drive me nuts.

  34. I'm sorry.

  35. And because our primary job is not about politics, It's

  36. it's about the equipping of the saints. So that means

  37. if I'm a prophet, then I better be equipping you

  38. to hear the voice of the Lord for yourself, not

  39. to follow me. And but I've been I was asking

  40. the Lord. I said, Lord, I don't ask you a

  41. lot about political stuff. And I'm like, but what is

  42. it about Charlie that you that you've chosen to move

  43. Because what's happening right now in the United States, in

  44. this moment and even around the globe is way bigger

  45. than Charlie Kirk. And you know, the scripture says unless

  46. the seed dies and goes into the ground. You've heard

  47. that scripture before, and revival is built on the blood

  48. of the martyrs. It is, And I keep asking him.

  49. I haven't gotten a real clear answer, but I do

  50. know this, and I don't mean to sound cheesy or cliche,

  51. but I do believe that there is a prophetic word

  52. to this nation in the name of His organization, and

  53. that is turning point for the United States. And I

  54. believe that wholeheartedly God speaks. He speaks in one way

  55. or in another, and we don't always get it. Sometimes

  56. he speaks with a big chief coloring book, and I

  57. think this is one of those moments where the Lord

  58. is speaking to us. I believe that it is imperative

  59. that we respond as a nation to this invitation of

  60. the Lord of repentance, because if we don't, we will

  61. end up in civil unrest, and that's exactly what the

  62. enemy would love. And as the body of Christ, we

  63. need to be bold, like so many people that are

  64. waking up in this hour and saying they're going to

  65. be bold for their faith, because the only way we

  66. have a true turning.

  67. Point back to the Lord Jesus Christ is if.

  68. The Church stands up and becomes bold as a lion

  69. and speaks the truth and love and takes back our

  70. schools and takes back these government positions, and we actually

  71. be the light and salt that He's called us to

  72. be and stop giving a flip about the fear of man.

  73. But the only way that this invitation that I believe

  74. is a sovereign invitation in this moment of the Lord.

  75. The only way we don't pass this by is if we.

  76. Actually take our relationship individual relationship with Jesus serious, and

  77. that we allow his fire to come and purge us,

  78. that we would be set on fire and stewart that

  79. first love. The world is sick and tired of seeing

  80. people talk about God but then not show God in

  81. their life.

  82. And we all fall short, we all stumble.

  83. We all have moments where a spirit of stupid comes

  84. over us and we repent from it and move forward.

  85. But the days of playing games are over.

  86. Like the Church has got to wake up, stay awake

  87. and watch and pray and understand the moment that we're in.

  88. Understand that the shakings, the birth pains. Whether you think

  89. you're leaving on Tuesday or not, the birth pains are

  90. getting intense, are they not? I mean, you got to

  91. be a special kind of dole to not recognize that

  92. everything that can be shaken is being shaken right now.

  93. I want to encourage you in these birth pains. And

  94. it says, don't think it's strange that these fiery trials

  95. come on your life. But why is it we always

  96. seem so surprised that we're in another trial?

  97. Are we not?

  98. I'm like, lately here, I've been like, Lord, can I

  99. just get a little break? I mean, just, you know,

  100. can can we take a break from shaking bake for

  101. like a week or something. I just need to get

  102. a little recovery time. And next thing, you know, it's

  103. like something else crazy happens, y'all. And he says, count

  104. it all, joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of

  105. various kinds. I love that word because the Greek word

  106. is poikilos and it means multicolored. So count it all, joy,

  107. my brothers, when you meet trials of multi colored kinds.

  108. For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness,

  109. and let steadfastness have its full effect, and that you

  110. may be perfect, in complete, and lacking nothing. So when

  111. we act surprised and go into intercessory whining because we're

  112. being tested again. We're telling the Lord that we do

  113. not want to be complete and we want.

  114. To be in lack. You're like, last night what I said,

  115. But that's what.

  116. You're saying when you don't yield to that scripture and

  117. take joy in your testings. My wife's looking at me

  118. like are you listening? Yes, I'm not always joyous in

  119. my testings. I got a phone call Friday night from

  120. the Kerrville I mean the Kirk County Sheriff's Department.

  121. Y'all, we've gone through enough. I'm a little shell shocked

  122. right now. I pick up the phone.

  123. They're like, yes, this is the Kirk County Sheriff's Department.

  124. I'm like, Lord, Jesus have mercy. Is this mister Justin Carpenter.

  125. I was like, yes it is. Are you the owner

  126. of a two thousand and four Chevy trail Blazer. I'm

  127. like yes, And they're like, well, your vehicle's been hit

  128. and it's in the parking lot at Ingram And I'm like, well,

  129. my son Micah was driving it is he?

  130. How's he?

  131. And she goes, could I have Micah's cell phone number.

  132. That was her response to me, not like I don't

  133. know or he wasn't driving or anything like that. So

  134. I may have overreacted emotionally a little bit, and that

  135. not to her. But when I got off the phone

  136. and I hear my wife in the background, you know,

  137. kind of like the Holy Spirit, Well that was an overreaction.

  138. I'm like, yes, I know, my nerves are un end

  139. Then I get down there only to find out some

  140. sweet young teenage girl in a big pickup truck with

  141. a grill guard didn't know how to park. Then she

  142. smoked the back of the trailblazer and crunched the metal.

  143. I was like, I would have thought she'd back off

  144. a little bit after she heard the you know, the

  145. plastic and glass break, but giving her all, she's got captain,

  146. And so I was not joyful in that moment. Lord,

  147. thank you for.

  148. This phone call. Thank you.

  149. I went down there and my wife's like, you'd be

  150. nice to that little she's a teenager, and I'm like, huh,

  151. I'm not gonna get upset. I already had my moment

  152. and got down there, and then the Ingram police officer

  153. proceeds to tell me he can't do anything as is

  154. on private property, which is not exactly the correct legal

  155. information of my understanding. Correct, that's not true, right, or

  156. that is true? Okay, I thought he was trying to

  157. blow smoke up my shorts or something. You know, you

  158. thought I was gonna say, skirt. That stuff don't work

  159. in this house. You know what I'm saying. I'm gonna

  160. keep going. I'm already in a ditch now, all right, folks.

  161. So anyways, but.

  162. We're not supposed to believe or we're not supposed to

  163. think that it's strange that our.

  164. Faith is being tested.

  165. The Lord is way more interested in your transformation and

  166. your holiness than he is you being comfortable. And we

  167. have taught a gospel that doesn't have a whole lot

  168. of cost in the Western Church, and now we're beginning

  169. to see a faith.

  170. That actually cost us something.

  171. Now we're beginning to see a little bit of pushback.

  172. Which I've said for years, persecution was coming to the us,

  173. and that you better be ready, and that you better

  174. understand the sufferings of Christ because the enemy is not

  175. going to roll over. Remember, in the Last Days it

  176. says gross darkness will cover the people. It's going to

  177. cover the people. Are we seeing gross darkness in our

  178. faith right now? But the glory of the knowledge of

  179. the Lord will cover the earth, or the knowledge of

  180. the glory.

  181. Of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters

  182. cover the sea. So it's bittersweet, But what's going to guarantee.

  183. Your longevity is what side of coin you decide to

  184. stay focused on, Because if you, as a believer, decide

  185. to stay focused on the side of gross darkness covering

  186. the people, then you will be a casualty of war

  187. because you will allow the lawlessness of men to become

  188. your teacher in these last days, and you will get

  189. offended with God and forget his goodness, And that is

  190. exactly what the enemy would love to happen. And the

  191. reality is, we've got to become unoffendable in this hour.

  192. And the only way we're going to become unoffendable in

  193. this hour is to allow his fire to burn, for

  194. his purifying fire to come over us, and not resist it,

  195. yield to his transformational fiery love. Our God is a

  196. jealous God and he is an all consuming fire, and

  197. we need to know the difference between holy fire and

  198. strange fire, because there's a lot of counterfeit fires out

  199. there in this hour. There's a lot of counterfeit, y'all.

  200. When Jesus started talking about doctrines of demons seducing spirits,

  201. and that there would be false prophets and false teachers,

  202. we're living in that day that he was talking about

  203. wolf's and sheep's clothing, and when they smile, you see

  204. wolf teeth and not sheep teeth. In fact, I think

  205. I got a couple of puncture wounds in the backside.

  206. Didn't mean to give you that visualization, But John three

  207. to eight. This week, i'd been reading again and listening

  208. to Artie Kendall's book on Holy Fire that came out

  209. about at least ten years ago.

  210. It was actually written.

  211. In response to John MacArthur's Strange Fire Book if you

  212. remember the clashes of the fires back then. But one

  213. of the chapters starts out with John three to eight,

  214. and it says, the wind blows where it wishes, and

  215. you hear it sound, but you do not know where

  216. it comes from or where it goes. So it is

  217. with everyone who's born of the spirit. And this is

  218. obviously Jesus talking to Nicodemus in context and he's addressing

  219. the issue of the Holy Spirit, and it says, the

  220. wind blows where it pleases.

  221. Do you understand that.

  222. You can't make the wind blow in the direction that

  223. you want. No matter how much desire you have in

  224. your heart for something in this planet, you cannot make

  225. it God's will.

  226. If it's not.

  227. You can't direct the wind. You can't direct the direction

  228. of the Holy Spirit. It blows where it pleases. He

  229. shows up in his sovereignty when he decides, and when

  230. he moves sovereignly, nothing can stop it. When he shows

  231. up with moves of God, revivals of the past, it

  232. was holy fire. People got uncomfortable because in the midst

  233. of that holy fire, their unholiness got exposed. But make

  234. no mistake, as God draws closer, you begin to feel

  235. the heat turning up. You begin to recognize the things

  236. that you thought you were getting away with in your

  237. past that now it's in your face, and He, as

  238. a loving father, is asking for you to deal with it.

  239. We can lie to ourselves, we can fool our spouses,

  240. we can fool our kids, or fool our friends, but

  241. you're never going to fool the Lord. Aw Tozer said,

  242. if the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today,

  243. ninety five percent of what we do would go on

  244. and no one would know the difference. The question for

  245. you this morning is how much in your life is

  246. actually of the Holy Spirit? And if He stopped hovering

  247. over your life and moving through you, how much of

  248. your activity would cease versus just continue on as it

  249. always has, and it's got Jesus sprinkles on it.

  250. How much of Oh Lord, your will not mine is truly.

  251. Reality when it comes down to us living the rest

  252. of the one hundred and sixty some hours a week.

  253. How much of Jesus do you actually need to show

  254. up in your life each day? How dangerous are you living?

  255. And when I say dangerous, I mean dangerous to the enemy.

  256. There was a season of my life my wife did

  257. not like going out in public with me. She does now,

  258. but I think, but I wouldn't. I just I I was.

  259. I had my spiritual gun loaded, and I was I

  260. was ready.

  261. I was always looking, and.

  262. I'd grab a hold of people in the street and

  263. start praying for them, and and and Lisa is like, hun,

  264. we're on a date night. Can you can you just

  265. like focus on me a little bit?

  266. Right now.

  267. And you know, you look back on your life as

  268. as your history with the Lord, and and you see

  269. moments where you were on fire, an unquenchable fire in

  270. your life. But then you see moments where you felt

  271. like you were just trying to get through. One of

  272. the dangers that we face in this local region in

  273. this moment is that if we don't take care of

  274. our emotional spiritual health in this season, many of us

  275. will find ourselves shipwrecked trying to deal with trauma that

  276. we weren't willing to deal with upfront. Y'all, this whole

  277. area has been affected horribly by things, and we must

  278. understand that. Whether you think it has affected you or not,

  279. it has affected you. And I want to encourage you

  280. to get a tune up, get a tune up, get

  281. some prayer ministry, whether it's with us or we've partnered

  282. with another ministry, and for inner healing. And I mean,

  283. don't blow off that damning up that can happen. You

  284. may not recognize it in this moment, but I promise

  285. you anything you don't deal with, you'll begin to see

  286. symptoms of In numbers twenty six sixty one, it says,

  287. but Nadab and a buy who died when they offered

  288. unauthorized fire before the Lord. We want to stay away

  289. from strange fire. John Wesley said, I set myself on

  290. fire and people come and watch me burn. Is there

  291. enough evidence in your life right now that if people

  292. get around.

  293. You, they actually see Jesus.

  294. You know it can't help, but you sit there and

  295. you really begin to think about legacy when in moments

  296. like this and when you it's it's interesting as people pass,

  297. you know, the different levels of influence that people have

  298. on this earth.

  299. I don't know about you, but.

  300. I want to leave the greatest impact for Jesus I

  301. possibly can. Charlie and his wife they had a saying

  302. they wanted to pop overpopulate Heaven. That was their goal,

  303. to overpopulate, right. I'm sorry, make Keaven crowded. I knew

  304. I was close, but make Heaven crowded. That that was

  305. their family motto, make Heaven crowded. The only way you

  306. make Heaven crowded is if you have a boldness and

  307. you're actually speaking the gospel, which is the power under salvation.

  308. So here's another challenge. When was the last time you

  309. shared the gospel with somebody in your life.

  310. Think about it.

  311. When was the last time you shared Jesus with somebody?

  312. Y'all?

  313. We can go months, if not years, without sharing the

  314. Gospel and not even recognize it because we're so comfortable,

  315. and we can get into our fellowship bubbles to where

  316. Like for me, because of my calling, I'm always around believers,

  317. like I gotta go look for unbelievers to get around

  318. because I'm constantly surrounded by believers, recognizing that if I'm

  319. not intentional in my life, then all I'm never around

  320. lost people, like seven days a week. I mean, some

  321. believers may be acting like they're lost, but they're still believers.

  322. There's a there's a Hebrew word and it's uh salak,

  323. and it means to rush, and the verb of this

  324. rush it also means to cleave, penetrate, and then advance,

  325. so or another definition breakout, come, mightily, go over, be

  326. good to meet, and it comes from a primitive word

  327. to be profitable. So when you see that word rush,

  328. the Holy Spirit rushed upon Saul, or the whole Holy

  329. Spirit rushed upon David, or the Holy Spirit rushed upon Sampson,

  330. over and over and over, you see that terminology that

  331. he rushed upon Sampson. It literally means to cleave, penetrate,

  332. and then advance. So what needs to happen when you

  333. have moments where the Holy Spirit comes upon you?

  334. What is the goal there?

  335. It's for him to get more a hold of you

  336. so that he can advance through you. He wants to

  337. cleave to you Judge Is fourteen six. Then the spirit

  338. of the Lord rushed upon him, and although he had

  339. nothing in his hand, he tore the lion in pieces,

  340. as one tears a young goat. But he did not

  341. tell his father or his mother what he had done. Judges,

  342. fourteen six. I'll never forget the time I did that

  343. at Lisa just could not believe her eyes.

  344. The point of this is.

  345. That anytime you see in scripture the Holy Spirit coming

  346. upon someone, something supernatural happens.

  347. That you can't make happen.

  348. How much are we doing in our own strength and saying,

  349. oh Jesus, would you bless this instead of putting ourselves

  350. allowing him to put us into positions to where if

  351. he does not move, nothing happens. Like where you're literally going, Lord,

  352. if you don't show up, nothing is going to happen.

  353. Right now? Is that scare anybody.

  354. Guess what, that's where we're supposed to be. How does

  355. he get glory if we're doing stuff that we can

  356. do in and of our own strength. It's like him

  357. talking to Israel and say, hey, the first three or

  358. four enemies you can take out in your own strength,

  359. but there are seven greater and mightier than you, and

  360. you can't take them out without me. And this is

  361. where people get stuck in their destiny. They get past

  362. that third enemy of their life that they've been able

  363. to take out in their strength with.

  364. The Lord.

  365. Because of the way the Lord wired them and gifted them.

  366. But then when they come up against the last seven,

  367. they stop. They stall because they don't want to fully

  368. yield to the lordship of Jesus and then allow him

  369. to take out those enemies that you can't take out.

  370. And if you want to live in the abundant life,

  371. and you want to live in the fullness of your inheritance,

  372. then you have got to take out the enemies of

  373. your inheritance that you can't do in your own strength.

  374. But we have been and sold the bag of goods

  375. with a theology in the United States that says us

  376. first and Jesus helps.

  377. I don't know about, y'all.

  378. I'm sick and tired of not living exactly the way

  379. Jesus said we're supposed to live, Like, when is the

  380. reality of greater things than this?

  381. You will do? Because I go to the Father.

  382. Y'all, we're still trying to get back to acts, let

  383. alone get past it.

  384. Are we not?

  385. When's the last time somebody walked by your shadow and

  386. was healed? I mean, I cast a pretty decent sized

  387. shadow for my five foot eight size. But so I

  388. want you to find your anointing today. Are you wearing

  389. a construction hat? It's rough out there, isn't it. What's

  390. you say? I got a bit. Isaiah forty four to

  391. three says, for I will pour water on him who

  392. is thirsty? Are you thirsty? And floods on a dry ground.

  393. I will pour my spirit on your descendants, and my

  394. blessing on your offspring. Jesus said to them, peace be

  395. with you, as the Father has sent me, even so

  396. I'm sending you. And when he said this, he breathed

  397. on them and said, received the Holy Spirit. John twenty, y'all,

  398. I've just gotten to the point lately where I am

  399. it says godliness with contentment is great gain. But I'm

  400. getting back that holy hunger for more where i am

  401. not satisfied with where I'm at in my life with

  402. the Lord.

  403. And that's.

  404. It's our responsibility as priests to keep the wick trimmed

  405. so we can burn bright.

  406. And it's time, y'all like it. Playtime is over.

  407. The seasons of us just being laxadative about things is

  408. over like this. This is frontline battle line time. It is,

  409. it really is, and you better understand the time we're

  410. living in.

  411. RT.

  412. Kendall says, the hardest thing with discovering your anointing is

  413. coming to terms with your limits.

  414. How many people you know can't stay in their lane.

  415. Do you know how much less arguments we would have

  416. if people would just stay in their lanes, if you

  417. would honor what God's given somebody's responsibility over in their

  418. life and not try to go there uninvited and try

  419. to tell them how to do everything because you know

  420. how to do everything. That's not humility, that's arrogance. One

  421. of the best ways to know of your call to

  422. do something is by invitation, not by self promotion. And

  423. I promise you you'll hold on to that principle that

  424. when doors begin to open because of the favor of God,

  425. you'll know the timing of God versus you becoming a

  426. master social media marketer and presenting yourself to be some

  427. sort of expert in something.

  428. God has set apart.

  429. Each individual to function under the anointing in a unique way.

  430. And and when we are under.

  431. An identity crisis, we tend to try and clone the

  432. other people's anointing. There's an authentic expression of the anointing

  433. that each of you have been given, and it's released

  434. when you live from your true identity in Christ. In

  435. other words, don't try to walk in somebody else's shoes.

  436. I said this first service.

  437. Shawn's always got his shoes off right, and those are

  438. some massive size nine and a half's right there. And

  439. so if my son Micah, who's six foot two, got

  440. up here and tried to put his feet in my shoes,

  441. he blow him out. He looked like a hobbit. And

  442. if I try to get in his boots, I'd go

  443. water skiing. He can't walk in my shoes and I

  444. can't walk in his. We've each been given our own

  445. path to walk in. Do understand that if you're trying

  446. to imitate somebody else, look like them, act like them,

  447. walk like them, that means that you believe your inferior

  448. and what God created you to do is not as

  449. significant as this other person. And all of a sudden,

  450. now the body is dysfunctional because the hand wants to

  451. be afoot when it was designed to be a hand.

  452. And then you wonder why there's no favor in movement

  453. in your life, because the Lord's simply trying to get

  454. you to get rid of the self rejection and start

  455. loving yourself for who He created you to be, so

  456. then he can breathe his anointing on your authenticity, because

  457. you have been each created to express a unique part

  458. of who God is his nature, to show to the

  459. world who the Father is uniquely, and no one else

  460. can do what He's called each of you individually to do,

  461. as well as yourself. Each are given a measure of

  462. faith Romans twelve three. What are you doing with the

  463. measure of faith you've been given this morning? How are

  464. you stuarding your measure of faith? What are you doing

  465. with it? How are you making your faith grow today?

  466. How are you flexing your faith muscles so that what

  467. you have right now more will be given later, because

  468. the principle of the kingdom is what you start, what

  469. you stuart will grow. Are you willing to stewart with

  470. the little things or do you think it should be

  471. an overnight success, an intergalactic, international, apostolic prophetic whatever to

  472. the world. Are you okay with small beginnings? My small

  473. beginnings was literally doing prayer ministry in an inventory closet

  474. of my wife's business, no exaggeration. She had a footwear

  475. business and I was in the closet doing prayer ministry

  476. with all these shoes on the shelves all around me.

  477. And then I was promoted by getting kicked out of

  478. the closet because somebody manifested a demon and her boss

  479. freaked out and left. And so that was when I

  480. got promoted and got my own little two hundred squarefoot office. Listen, y'all,

  481. I didn't care when I was on Water Street and

  482. a two hundred squarefoot office with Becky Bowen and doing

  483. prayer ministry full time if nothing changed in that moment.

  484. I knew I was doing what the Lord called me

  485. to do, and I was totally content with it. When

  486. you know you're doing what you're called to do. It

  487. doesn't matter where you're at. You're not doing it for people.

  488. Are you serving right now? Why are you serving? I

  489. sure the heck cope, it's for Jesus. Don't serve for me,

  490. Don't serve for somebody else in here. Do it because

  491. it's a outpouring of the intimacy that you have with

  492. the Lord. And you understand that he said, the Greatest

  493. and the Kingdom are servants of all. And you want

  494. to be about your father's business. I promise you, if

  495. you serve to be seen, you've.

  496. Had your reward.

  497. And it'll take about fifteen minutes to get offended because

  498. the moments you don't get patted on the back. Oh

  499. we're so proud of you, you're going to get offended

  500. and leave.

  501. Are y all with me?

  502. Are you all mad at me because I tell you

  503. the truth. I haven't become your enemy because I tell

  504. you the truth?

  505. Have I ho, Piper? This is a tough crowd people.

  506. Yeah, you better have thick skin and a soft heart

  507. around here. Luke seventeen five to six. The apostles said

  508. to the Lord, increase our faith. And the Lord said,

  509. if you had faith like a grain of a mustard seed.

  510. You could say to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and

  511. planted to the sea, and it would obey you. What

  512. is he saying there? The size of your faith is

  513. not nearly as important as the purity of it, because

  514. unbelief is like kryptonite, and it will shut down.

  515. The Lord's ability to move through you. You're like, well,

  516. where's that all? Over? Scripture?

  517. How about he couldn't do any mighty works, but only

  518. lay his hands on a few of the sick, and

  519. he marveled at their unbelief of their hometown. They were

  520. offended with him because they knew him from years past.

  521. How about this, Maybe you missed a breakthrough because you

  522. were offended with the person praying in front of you

  523. because you knew him five years ago, and you don't

  524. have any faith that Jesus transformed them. You think they're pretending. Oh,

  525. I know, no, that stuff ever happens in church, not here.

  526. We just came out of the closet. When finding the

  527. limits of your anointing, you might say you're discovering the

  528. measure of faith in which you abide. There are two

  529. parts to your gifting and anointing. That which you were

  530. born with and that which comes as a result of conversion.

  531. So there are things that the Lord has gifted you

  532. with from birth. I was a seer since I was

  533. remember I would not have called that a gift because

  534. it was tormenting to me. I didn't like seeing things,

  535. and my grandparents, specifically my grandmother, thought I had a

  536. vivid imagination because the enemy will use your gifting against

  537. you when you don't know what it is. And when

  538. it comes to the anointing, it's the anointing that breaks

  539. the yoke. It's the anointing that breaks people out of bondage.

  540. Y'all. It is not your gift.

  541. You can have the greatest administrative gift in the world,

  542. but that's not going to break the yoke.

  543. And are you cultivating oil in your life? Are you?

  544. Are you really truly seeking Jesus privately when no one's around,

  545. and ministering unto the Lord and not doing it to

  546. be accepted, not performing for his love, but truly in

  547. relationship with him.

  548. It's the simplicity of the gospel.

  549. I don't know about you, but in the last however many months,

  550. couple of years, man, everything's getting stripped down and at

  551. the end of the day, it's the reality of the

  552. simplicity of the gospel.

  553. It's love God and love others.

  554. Jesus said, the entire law hung on it, and we

  555. don't have to complicate this thing.

  556. You know. We went to work right away on July fourth,

  557. no angelic visitation.

  558. We knew there's a massive need, and two point thirty

  559. in the afternoon, we hit the.

  560. Doors or hit the ground running.

  561. And all we did was try to be the hands

  562. and feet of Jesus and love and take care of

  563. the people in front of us. And there's been an

  564. amazing testimony of Jesus released through this house because of it,

  565. because so many people laid their lives down and started

  566. serving other people. That's the simplicity of the gospel. You know,

  567. all the signs and wonders, it happens when you're moving

  568. forward in obedience. You understand that right the Book of Acts,

  569. Hello people, it means acts like you're moving. You're doing something.

  570. You're spiritually moving forward. You're in motion. You're not sitting

  571. back waiting for the Lord to knock this big godzilla

  572. supernatural door open and be like okay, then I will

  573. do it. No get out there. I've talked about this previously,

  574. but from Exodus thirty, the cinnamon, calmus, casia, and the

  575. olive oil. And because the anointing oil you couldn't read

  576. in enacts Exodus thirty the natural representation of the spiritual

  577. anointing oil. It had five ingredients and the do you

  578. know mirror is good for painkiller, and it's symbolic of

  579. love and suffering, compassion and passion. Cinnamon is highly flam

  580. highly flammable spice, believe it or not, and this is

  581. symbolic for spiritual fire revival. The calmus is also called

  582. sweet flag, a cane type plant that grows among water lilies,

  583. and it's known for its aromatic properties when it is

  584. bruised or crushed, and this is symbolic of forgiveness from

  585. betrayals and woundings. Casia is bark scraped from a tree,

  586. and this is a symbolic of sacrifice, worship, brokenness. It

  587. is the purity element of the anointing oil, since this

  588. must be scraped off the tree. It also represents the

  589. purging element of the Holy Spirit, anybody feeling the purge.

  590. And then there's olive oil. It's the last ingredient added

  591. by which the aroma of the anointing oil is enhanced,

  592. made pungent to the nose. This is symbolic of the

  593. power of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of His

  594. presence to mankind.

  595. It is also what holds the mixture together.

  596. Your personal anointing is what ascends up from your spirit

  597. man and out to the people. This is what we

  598. are anointed to be an appointment. This is our relation

  599. with Christ that is brought about by the Holy Spirit.

  600. The Greek word for this is chrisma. This is not

  601. chrisma and ministeral minister ministerial anointing, sorry, y'all, is what

  602. we're anointed to do. It's a proclamation, a special touch

  603. for a special task. This type of anointing is provisional

  604. and you will feel it come upon you for the

  605. task at hand, and it lifts off after the ministry

  606. is complete. Remember Isaiah ten twenty seven. The anointing breaks

  607. the yoke of bondage, the weights off the people and

  608. fresh oil. You ever hear us talk about fresh oil.

  609. Fresh oil is needed at different times to break through

  610. the strongholds and resist and resistance that can face in

  611. our daily walk fresh oil usually comes after difficult battles

  612. or to usher in a new season in our life.

  613. It brings a well needed refreshing.

  614. To our souls, just at the right time, Psalm ninety

  615. two to ten. Most kings, priests, and prophets were only

  616. anointed with the sacred oil once in their entire life,

  617. but David and Jesus were anointed three times. David was

  618. anointed as a teenager in First Samuel six thirteen, he

  619. was anointed as King of Judah Second Samuel two four,

  620. and David was anointed as King of Israel second Samuel

  621. two five. I'm sorry, saying Samuel five to three. Jesus

  622. was anointed at his baptism John one thirty two, he

  623. was anointed by Mary and John twelve three, and he

  624. was anointed by Nicodemus and John nineteen thirty nine to

  625. forty one. Interestingly, in Ecclesiastes ten to one, it says,

  626. just like dead flies spoil.

  627. The ointment, so does a little sin to the believer.

  628. You understand, they would rub oil fresh oil on the sheep.

  629. Rub it on their head, and rub it on their nose.

  630. Why because it keeps the flies from landing and actually

  631. putting eggs on their nose, they would lay their eggs

  632. on them, and so fresh oil keeps the flies away.

  633. Are you all thinking symbolically metaphorically right now? Just like

  634. the flies spoil the oil, flies will ruin the anointing

  635. on your life. I've never seen a man of God

  636. in the past who bit the dust. Even when they

  637. came back and restored, they were never walking at the

  638. level of anointing. They were the first time ever, none

  639. of them. Because there's a price, there's a price to

  640. pay when you're walking at that level, and there's a

  641. level of responsibility that if you don't stewart that well,

  642. you never get back to where you were, at least

  643. with the anointing. It doesn't seem like it all right,

  644. I'm landing the plane, I promise. In the time of

  645. the Jewish Temple, there were four major pressings of the

  646. olive harvest. The first pressing was used for the temple's minora,

  647. or for the oil of anointing. The second press was oil,

  648. used for oil lamps to give light in the homes.

  649. The third pressing was used for cooking purposes, and the

  650. fourth pressing was for medical purposes as prophetic ministers, we

  651. must be able to discern between a person's gift and

  652. their anointing. A gift can function in a person's life

  653. regardless of their character. If a person is living in

  654. sin and moving in their gift, it's common to mistake

  655. it for the believer to think that God's stamp of

  656. approval is on that person's life and therefore assume that

  657. that minister is living a godly lifestyle. We must never

  658. fall into the trap of depending on our gifts instead

  659. of having character and intimacy with God. The anointing flows from.

  660. The secret place.

  661. Mike, if I can have you come up here by

  662. I have the prayer teams come up. If you are

  663. on the prayer team.

  664. Please come forward. Bueler h remember uh. Just a reminder.

  665. After this is the we're gonna set up for the

  666. new members luncheon. So h.

  667. H. Father.

  668. We know.

  669. That you said in the.

  670. Last days difficult times would come upon Earth.

  671. Lord.

  672. We recognize the winds of change. Things are shifting, Lord,

  673. but we also see your hand making all things beautiful.

  674. We see your hand working all things together for the good.

  675. Lord. We see a spark.

  676. That could turn into a fire Lord, that could turn

  677. into revival that could turn into an awakening. And Lord,

  678. we pray, just like when Elijah saw the cloud the

  679. size of a hand, he said, go down and tell

  680. him it's gonna rain.

  681. Lord, we're believing.

  682. This spark that we're seeing right now in the last

  683. couple of weeks. Lord, it's identical to that hand. Lord,

  684. rain's coming. Go down and tell him it's gonna rain.

  685. And if he doesn't get off the mountain, he won't

  686. be able to because of the abundance of rain that's coming.

  687. So Lord, we just declare that that spark turns into

  688. a bonfire, that it turns into a holy fire, that

  689. the revival that we've been waiting and tearying and believing

  690. for over this land is here. So Lord, let the

  691. revival fire start. Lord, let the fire burn. Lord, set

  692. people on fire. That there would be a boldness that

  693. comes over your church. Lord, that there would be a

  694. I don't care if your servant tables like Stephen and

  695. Axe was, but that there would be a company of

  696. people moving in power, because you said, Paul said that

  697. that the kingdom wasn't just in word, but it was

  698. in power. And Lord, we say, use us. You said,

  699. who will go how are they going to get saved

  700. or they can't hear? Lord, we say send us, Lord,

  701. we say send us. And just like in Isaiah, that

  702. little ember of fire touched Isaiah's lips and purified his mouth. Lord,

  703. purify our language, purify the words we speak.

  704. Lord, May there be word words of life, of blessing

  705. of honor that we would speak. Lord.

  706. Father, we asked that you would be with our nation today, Lord,

  707. that you would draw us back, that we would be

  708. turning back to you. We asked Lord, that you would

  709. be with the country as it mourns and Kerville, as

  710. it continues to mourn the loss of so many people

  711. lost in the flood. Lord, you said, blessed are those

  712. who mourn, because they will be comforted.

  713. So Lord, I thank you for your comfort.

  714. But Lord, I'm asking that you would look upon these firebrands, Lord,

  715. and just blow on the ember. Lord, blow on the ember.

  716. That we would be set on fire. Lord, that we

  717. would be set on fire. Lord, that it wouldn't that

  718. it wouldn't it wouldn't be mad made, it wouldn't come

  719. out of desire the soul, But that there would be

  720. a holy fire that consumes us. Lord, a zeal, a

  721. love for our first love, Lord that could not be quenched.

  722. I asked that you would do this, Lord, for your

  723. namesake in Jesus Mighty name.

  724. Amen. Thank you for listening.
