You're listening to the Cross Kingdom Sermon of the Week.
-
We hope you enjoy this message from Justin Carpenter. You go,
-
all right? Anybody ready to make some sense out of
-
this season we're in, Well, hopefully I will bring some
-
clarity or just bring more confusion. We'll see what happens.
-
So you will not forget this title? Are you already?
-
I titled this keep pushing? Are you already? Philippians three
-
eight to twelve. Indeed I count everything as loss because
-
of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ, Jesus my Lord,
-
for his sake, I've suffered the loss of all things
-
and count them as rubbish. This word rubbish if you
-
look in the Greek, and if you look at some scholars,
-
they would argue that you would literally translate this crap,
-
and even more of an emphasis with some of them.
-
I will spare you that because I don't know that
-
that would be an appropriate word right now. But literally
-
he's saying, I count this as rubbish. All everything he
-
was in the flesh, everything he was in the flesh,
-
He says, I counted as rubbish in order that I
-
may gain Christ and be found in him. Not having
-
a righteousness of my own that comes from the law,
-
but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness
-
from God that depends on faith, that I may know
-
Him and the power of his resurrection, and may share
-
his sufferings, ready to suffer, yes, becoming like him in
-
his death, that by any means possible, I may attain
-
the resurrection from the dead. Not that I've already obtained
-
this or I'm already perfect, but I press on to
-
make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me
-
his own. Y'all, we are in some of the most
-
difficult times ever right now, and yet in some ways
-
we're in the most absolute amazing times. You know, there's
-
so much adversity in spiritual warfare right now, and everybody
-
I know has been under pressure, they've had adversity. They
-
how many of y'all feel like right now you're literally
-
like it's like you're just pushing against the wall, and
-
it's like the wall's not going anywhere, and you're having
-
a difficult time and you keep finding trials and tests
-
and opposition. We're in transition in the body of Christ
-
right now. There's so much changing out of that old
-
wine skin and coming into a new wine skin. And
-
anytime you're in transition, the increase of spiritual warfare because
-
you're the most susceptible when you're going from A to
-
B transition, right, and so you're more seen out in
-
the open, and that's when you get shot at. And
-
right now, especially with our region, everything we've gone through
-
over the last few months, there is real adversity. But
-
right now the Lord is birthing something in the church.
-
The Lord is literally birthing a move of God that
-
we're seeing these little fires pop up, interestingly enough, outside
-
of the Bible Belt. Here's a good question why since
-
Charlie kirkda, we're seeing all these churches fill up lines
-
to get into the churches, but all of this is
-
happening outside the Bible belt. Why isn't Why aren't we
-
seeing a greater hunger inside the Bible belt? Why aren't
-
we seeing more and more fires spark up inside the
-
Bible belt not just outside? The harvest is happening, y'all,
-
Are you hungry? Do you have eyes to see with
-
what the Lord's doing right now? Because the enemy would
-
absolutely love for us to be so focused on the adversity,
-
so focused on the resistance, that we stop pushing and
-
we quit. But he is forming something. He's birthing something
-
in us right now, individually and corporately, and we have
-
to keep pushing. Women that are moms, how like when
-
you're giving birth, towards the end, it is the most
-
excruciating pain in the world. Correct, I have not experienced that.
-
I cannot identify with that, but I can identify with
-
having my hand crushed by my wife towards the end
-
of that process. And wives, you may have even found
-
a new tongue that came out during that process. That
-
would not need interpretation. But it's painful right now because
-
we're there's a birthing process happening. It's painful and if
-
you focus on that pain, you're going to lose sight
-
of what's new, what's coming. If you focus on that pain,
-
then it's ultimately going to demoralize you because it will
-
become your teacher rather than the Holy Spirit. God is
-
moving right now in amazing ways, y'all. You have you
-
have people in the UK, not just in the East,
-
but in the UK having dreams and visions and coming
-
to know the Lord without anybody talking to them. It's
-
been coined the revival in the UK. But you don't
-
hear much about that, do you. You hear about the
-
digital idea though, who can you say that word? I
-
could sew rabbit trail on that, but we that will
-
get off course kind of. But when we share and suffering,
-
we're not just suffering as believers. You're not suffering aimlessly,
-
are without a purpose. You're actually sharing in the sufferings
-
of Jesus. And if we can understand that pain as
-
we're moving into this new place, then we can have
-
a different perspective on the suffering. And guess what, Just
-
like all that pain vanishes as soon as that newborn
-
baby's in front of you, all the pain that we're
-
going through right now to get into what the Lord
-
is forming. When when that is fully birthed, guess what
-
you're gonna go? Man, it was Paul said. Everything I'm
-
going through is not worth worth comparing to the glory
-
that's gonna be revealed. You suffer with purpose, You're not suffering. Well,
-
you can suffer because of stupidity, but let's let's do
-
it with Let's let's have purpose and are suffering. You
-
go into the wilderness, either by design or default, and corporately.
-
We're in somewhat of a wilderness transitional period by design,
-
not by default, because the Lord is forming. He's birthing
-
something right now, and we don't quite yet see it
-
because it's not fully formed. It's like a caterpillar going
-
into a butterfly. There's this metamorphois process that is really
-
ugly and really nasty, and at one point you're like,
-
what is this? And then there's silence and it seems
-
like everything's dying, and then all of a sudden, this
-
beauty comes from a new creation. Luke Ate forty five
-
and forty six, Jesus said, who was it that touched me?
-
When all denied it? Peter said, Master, the crowds surround
-
you and are pressing in on you. But Jesus said,
-
someone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone
-
from me. When was the last time we were in
-
a crowd pressing into Jesus just saying if I can
-
just touch them, everything's going to be okay. When was
-
the last time your holy hunger made your heart ache?
-
Mark three to nine, Mark three nine and ten. He
-
told his disciples to have a boat ready for him
-
because of the crowd, lest they crush him, for he
-
had healed many so that all who had diseases pressed
-
around to touch him. In this transition, you're gonna be
-
you're focused with either focusing on what isn't working outright,
-
what we have lost, which has been devastating. But we
-
have to push through. Keep pushing. It's painful, it's a
-
hard season. People feel like they're having their hind ends
-
handed to him in so many aspects of their life.
-
Keep pushing because the pain is worth it. And on
-
the other side of this, when we a full picture
-
of what he's giving birth to, all that pain is
-
gonna diminish in the beauty of the Lord as we
-
see his glory in his kingdom advance. But right now
-
it's advancing with violence, and we have got to keep pushing.
-
If you don't remember anything else I say to you today,
-
keep pushing when adversity comes. Push. I don't mean make
-
this thing happen in your own strength. I'm saying that
-
you set your head like flint and come hell or
-
high water, you're pressing into Jesus. You're gonna get to him,
-
You're gonna hold on to him, and you're gonna not
-
let go Galatians four nineteen says my little children, for
-
whom I am again in the anguish of childbirth, until
-
Christ is formed in you, y'all, we are going from
-
glory to glory, and that little word, too can be
-
very painful. The moment so glory are amazing, right, the
-
mountaintop moments. But the two is the valley to the mountaintop,
-
and that two is actually where your character is built.
-
Your character is not built on the mountaintop. That's the reprieve,
-
that's the blessing that is hanging out with the Lord
-
and Ah getting filled back up. But when you get
-
down in that valley, that's where the battles are. That's
-
where you actually see where the enemy is occupying the
-
territory that is your inheritance. And if you act cowardly
-
and fearful, then you don't get it. If you murmur
-
and complain and allow unbelief to speak louder than faith,
-
then you forfeit your inheritance. And we can't do it
-
on this watch, not on our watch. There's a war
-
over this land. There is a war over this region,
-
spiritual war happening over this land because God has set
-
this region in his eyesight. There's a target for his kingdom,
-
and we have got to see this thing fully formed
-
and birth, no matter what, keep pushing John three three
-
to eight. Jesus answered him, truly, truly, I say to you,
-
unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom
-
of God. Nicodemus said to him, how can a man
-
be born when he is old? Nicodemus is totally thinking
-
in earthly terms, naturally, and he's like, dude, I'm like
-
one hundred and some years old, How Jesus, how how
-
can I be born again when I'm old? And he's
-
thinking naturally when Jesus is speaking spiritually and how And
-
part of the problem is Jesus is speaking to us
-
spiritually more than he is naturally, but we're thinking naturally,
-
and then we don't get it. He says, can he
-
enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?
-
This is the same thing when Jesus says, hey, if
-
you don't eat my body and drink my blood, you
-
have no life in you. And all these people start
-
freaking out. They're like, he's a cannibalist. I knew this
-
was a cult. And then they all run off. How
-
many things do we judge that the Lord may have
-
been in But because we're thinking in earthly terms, we
-
forfeit being a part of that move. Truly, truly, I
-
say to you, unless one is born of water and
-
the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom. That which is
-
born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born
-
of spirit of spirit. Do not marvel that I said
-
to you, you must be born again. The wind blows
-
where it wishes, and you hear it sound, but you
-
do not know where it comes from or where it goes.
-
So it is with everyone who's born of the spirit.
-
The wind blows where it pleases. Do you understand this
-
is the language of the Holy Spirit, and your life
-
being led by the spirit. The wind blows where it desires.
-
You don't make the wind blow. You don't tell the
-
wind to blow this way or that way. You adjust
-
to the wind. And if you're in a sailboat, you
-
either adjust your sail or you have a very difficult time.
-
Oh you can do it. There's ways in the sailboat
-
of coming in and out against the wind and actually
-
make headway. But that kind of represents your soul. Matthew
-
five forty three to forty eight. You've heard that it
-
was said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
-
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray
-
for those who persecute you, so that you may be
-
sons of your father who's in heaven. For he makes
-
his son rise on evil and on the good. He
-
sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if
-
you love those who love you, what reward do you have?
-
Do not even the tax collectors do the same. And
-
if you greet only your brothers, what more are you
-
doing than others? Do not even the gentiles do the same.
-
You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly father is perfect.
-
I want you to think of the hardest thing you're
-
going through right now. There are people in here that
-
are literally grieving the loss of children. This Wednesday we
-
will do the celebration of life for Eliza Eve in Medina,
-
for the Clossings. I literally just found out that our
-
dear friends John and Sarah Roth that took over Rich
-
Harris's church, lost their thirteen year old thirteen year old
-
son suddenly on the fifteenth. Y'all, we can't always make
-
sense of loss. We don't always understand the mysteries of
-
why something's happen and why some things don't. And when
-
we earnestly pray and don't get the outcome, we're left
-
in that tension, and we're left in the tension of choice.
-
What are we gonna do? Jesus said in this life,
-
you're gonna have trouble. I don't know about you, but
-
I wish you would have capitalized that with big bold
-
red print, right like that. That's one of those scriptures like, yeah,
-
we will have trouble, But I can tell you this.
-
I cannot imagine going through all those things and not
-
knowing the Lord. Thankfully, those folks know the Lord, and
-
even though words can't fix what they're going through, the
-
Lord's able to bring healing. He's able to work all
-
things together for the good and is so good at it.
-
I might add that some people actually think sometimes he's
-
the source of the loss when he's not. To understand,
-
there are things that happen on this earth that the
-
Lord has nothing to do with. Now, if you're a Calvinist,
-
you're gonna want to throw tomatoes at me right now.
-
But I can show you scripture in the Old Covenant
-
where he says that you are killing people that should
-
not be killed, and you're keeping alive people that should
-
not be kept alive. What do you do with that?
-
I think one of the scariest things for believers is
-
that the reality of our responsibility over planet Earth he
-
you behind. You're left behind. You've been left behind. Look
-
at the person next to you, say you're welcome, but
-
we're left behind to do what to advance the kingdom? Y'all,
-
regardless of your how you think all this is going
-
to end, We're here to occupy until he comes. We're
-
here to see all the kingdoms of this earth become
-
the kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ, the Great Commission.
-
We're here to bring Heaven to Earth because you're seated
-
with Him in heavenly places. You need to have a
-
heavenly mindset in order to bring heaven. Otherwise, if you're
-
thinking earthly like Nicodemus, hey, I can't go back in
-
my mother's loomb. I'm a little too big, a little
-
too old. How do you do that? If you're thinking
-
in earthly terms, then guess what. You'll never advance the
-
kingdom of Heaven. You won't even be a threat, do
-
you understand that we spend so much of our time
-
in the Western Church trying to avoid pain and trying
-
to avoid resistance. And guess what your inheritance you're in,
-
what God's called you to resistance is in front of it.
-
He left giants in the land in the Old Covenant
-
on purpose, and you can't beat them on your own.
-
And as you go after these giants that are in
-
your inheritance, that are literally squatting and the ground that
-
God's called you to take, you come to the end
-
of yourself because you realize just how much of your
-
soul has been ruling when you thought it was your spirit.
-
And as you come to the end of yourself, then
-
there's a greater, deeper repentance and surrender and trust that
-
takes place, and then you really allow him to take
-
that giant down. He didn't put those giants there to
-
take you out. He put them there for your advancement.
-
He put him there for your growth. Yo. Maturity has
-
nothing to do with gift. Maturity has nothing to do
-
with how many times you fall on the ground, shake,
-
rattle and roll, speak in tongues, prophesy, cast out demons
-
has nothing to do with maturity. There's one test, and
-
that's the fruit of the spirit. That is the evidence
-
of an abiding life in Jesus. So here's a question.
-
When people talk about you, hopefully they're talking good about you,
-
but if somebody says, if your name comes up, do
-
you ever hear he's one of the kindest people I've
-
ever met. Oh, she is so loving, he is so patient. Man,
-
that dude's just good. He's a good person. He's a
-
good guy. That's the goodness of God. Man, they have
-
so much self control because that's the character of Jesus.
-
That's what he exudes, those evidences of an abiding life.
-
And at the end of the day, God will never
-
be impressed with a gift that he gets. In fact,
-
he's not even mad at your immaturity. He doesn't punish immaturity.
-
He corrects it. He punishes rebellion again wilderness by design
-
or default, that's kind of our choice. Now, if he
-
takes you in a dark night of the soul, that's
-
not necessarily fun, But y'all, at the end of it,
-
you go into the dark knight of the spirit and
-
you never leave because that's where true freedom is. That's
-
where ultimate surrender to his spirit lies when you recognize
-
that there is nothing you can do of your own
-
and if he doesn't show up, you're done. We're called
-
to live on the edge of all of it. We're
-
called to live literally on the edge of the cliff
-
and then sometimes jump. Faith is risk. If you're always
-
calculating your destiny, you're not following Jesus. You're following a formula.
-
He will call you to do the most craziest things
-
at times from your perspective, and if you don't have
-
eyes to see and ears to hear, then you will
-
absolutely miss it because you're over here trying to avoid pain.
-
Do you understand we learn way more when we mess
-
up than we do when we have success. You know,
-
most millionaires go bankrupt a couple of times and then
-
they become a millionaire again. Why because in that school
-
of hard knocks they actually learn how it works and
-
so they can always make money. I can tell you this,
-
the law of promotion simple. What you stewart will grow
-
if you if you if you believe that you're called
-
to have a massive kingdom business and make a whole
-
lot of money. But you don't tithe, You're not a giver.
-
You don't bless people. Why do you think the Lord's
-
gonna go give you millions of dollars so you can
-
blow it on yourself. If you're faithful in a little,
-
you'll be faithful and much. And let me tell you. You
-
might be in a hard season, you might be financially
-
strapped right now, and I would I would tell you this, give.
-
And I don't mean necessarily here that this isn't a
-
plea to God's got this, but give punch the fear
-
of lack in the face. That was good justin Romans
-
eight thirty five. Who shall separate us from the love
-
of shell tribulation, our distress, our persecution, our famine, our nakedness,
-
or danger, our sword? Nothing? Nothing? We just sang about
-
His love? Which I think about a week ago, give
-
or take, I was inside the church in the spirit
-
in the night I know where things happen, and it
-
was like it was pitch black in here, like it
-
is with all the lights off. And in the encounter,
-
I was in the church in the spirit, and I've
-
had that happen one other time. And I was warring
-
with a spirit over the house and rebuking it. And
-
then I flew in the encounter, obviously not. I flew
-
right through that window back and when I went to
-
fly out the other night in the spirit, those doors
-
had windows like half lights, like those back doors, and
-
one of the doors the glass was broken. The enemy
-
had broken in. And I don't know if y'all have noticed,
-
but the atmosphere had been really tough for weeks. We've
-
been fighting and fighting to get back that open heaven.
-
And so in the natural came in here and was
-
interceding and asking the Lord to seal the breach and
-
to post his angels and give us an open heaven again.
-
And I really feel like things have shifted. Today felt
-
totally different. I mean, today has been amazing. And I
-
don't say that like I'm the one that did all that.
-
I'm just sharing insight Luke eighteen seven and eight. And
-
will not God give justice to his elect who cry
-
to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?
-
I tell you he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless,
-
when the son of Man comes, will he find faith
-
on the earth. Why do you think Jesus asked this,
-
What's that make you think? What's that make you wonder about?
-
It makes me wonder what percentage of genuine faith. When
-
he comes will be on the earth. We don't know
-
when he's coming, y'all, so just take a deep breath.
-
I know everybody thought Rashishana that I forgot what day
-
that was, that we were zapping out of here. But
-
the moment somebody lays claim to a date, you can
-
guarantee we're not going any where. It's in the Bible.
-
But he's forming something in you. Maybe there's an area
-
of your life you've been stiff arming him out of
-
rebellion and fear. Maybe you're scared to death that if
-
you surrender that part of your life, you're not really
-
sure if he's gonna show up or what's gonna happen, y'all.
-
In twenty thirteen, I launched the Cross Kingdom School of Ministry.
-
I was gonna have six instructors. I was going to
-
launch this school, was going to be amazing and do
-
itinerant ministry full time. And yes it was, oh I remember,
-
and all of a sudden, one by one, the instructors disappeared,
-
and all of a sudden, launch day comes March of
-
twenty fourteen, and there was one instructor in one course
-
dreams and visions, and that's how I launched the school.
-
You want to talk about being so convinced that all
-
those pieces were going to happen right then and there,
-
I mean, totally convinced everything looked like it doors open.
-
I flew to Denver and signed a license agreement with
-
Rich and I was just like, and I wasn't pushing.
-
I mean, things are opening, and then all of a sudden,
-
the school launches, and I mean it went over like
-
a fart in a spacesuit, and I was sorry. I
-
hadn't used that one in a while. Just making sure
-
y'all are paying attention and you're welcome. Now I know
-
y'all are listening. So the point is, things don't always
-
work out the way you're convinced they're going to. Y'all.
-
We can have we can have insight and revelation to
-
our destiny. But I can promise you and I can
-
tell you from every person I'm friends with, leadership wise,
-
it doesn't work out the way you think it's going
-
to work out. So we have to hold loosely to
-
our destiny. I'm forty eight years old, it is now
-
twenty twenty five, and next year I'm just now starting
-
to do itinerant ministry. I actually had invitations and I'm
-
going to preach conferences. Hello, it's twenty twenty five, and
-
I was like, I will be an itinerant minister in
-
twenty fourteen. Yeah, No, that didn't work out. Well, God
-
had a different idea. But I can tell you all
-
the pieces that I've seen are happening, but they don't
-
look the way I thought they were going to look.
-
Trust him when he's birthing something in you, trust him
-
that he knows how to form the clay better than
-
you do, and that he's good. And when he's putting
-
pressure to bring the image of Jesus into your life,
-
stop complaining. Thank him for molding you. Because as hard
-
as it is, if Paul who I don't know if
-
besides job, Paul went through the wringer and he says,
-
I don't that none of this suffering is worthy to
-
be considered compared to the glory that's going to be revealed.
-
So I want to challenge you, in the midst of adversity,
-
in the midst of keep pushing and trust him and
-
hold your destiny with open hands. Not my will but
-
your will, Lord, Keep pushing as you keep pushing, as
-
you trust him in this process, it's gonna be worth it. Y'all.
-
You have one one shot at advancing the Kingdom on Earth.
-
That's it. And we don't know what tomorrow brings. We're
-
not promised tomorrow. We're promised today. So when you hear
-
his voice and he says, hey, I want you to
-
go to the post office, well, I don't have any mail.
-
The wind blows where it pleases. Are you going to
-
go to the post office? Slow? Yes? Slow obedience is
-
nothing more than cloaked rebellion. Yeah. The definition of perseverance
-
and the famous words of the pilots that are in here,
-
I will begin to descend to give you more oxygen.
-
The definition of perseverance means continued effort to do or
-
achieve something despite difficulties, failure or opposition, the action or
-
condition or an instance of persevering, steadfastness, perseverance. Jesus said
-
to him who endures to the end, Are there things
-
you're not willing to endure? Think about it right now
-
in your heart with the Lord. Are there things you're
-
not willing to endure? Because that may be the area
-
that takes you out. Don't deal with it. When I
-
was at Streams a couple of weeks ago, Bonnie was
-
so worried about me because she could feel the weight
-
and the burdens. Yeah, we can't. We're not called to
-
carry the weight. Jesus said, come to me. Do you
-
understand the times that were in the weight could kill
-
you because of the intensity of the birth pains. Just
-
like in the natural, mothers can die in child bearing,
-
we can end up being taken out spiritually when God's
-
forming things because we choose to not surrender and go
-
through the process with him. The Hebrew word sarah or
-
sarrah means in short definition, can tend to persist, exert oneself, persevere.
-
You understand when God says persevere, he's not telling you
-
part of me, to persevere in your own strength. When
-
he says persevere, it's through his strength. I can do
-
all things through Christ, who strengthens me. See, we keep
-
thinking that somehow, like when I say keep pushing. Yes,
-
there is an effort on your part. Ask any woman
-
who's given birth to a child, there's some legit effort, right,
-
I mean, I literally I still may have bones out
-
of joint from Lisa when she was holding my hand,
-
you know what I'm saying. And but persistence, We're gonna
-
get to the other side. We're gonna see what the
-
Lord is forming, and it's gonna be beautiful. Anybody realized,
-
there's some things you were doing in the past season
-
that aren't working now like they like they're things that
-
they're just not working now, But they were then. That's
-
because we were going into a new wine skin. And
-
you understand the wine skin part is this. They didn't
-
throw away old wine skins. They would repurpose them. They
-
would take old wine skins when they got really dry
-
and brittle, and they would soak them in the water,
-
which is what spirit his word, and then they would
-
soak them in oil, and then they would be renewed.
-
What has to happen is the old wine skin is
-
you're you're the way of thinking that you had. You
-
gotta be renewed in the spirit of your mind in
-
order to step into the new wine skin. And you
-
gotta be pliable and soft so that when he fills
-
you up with that new wine, you're not rigid, legalistic
-
and controlling, otherwise you will pop. Right. I got one witness, Hebaccic.
-
I love a bacchic. He says, I'll take my stand
-
at the watch post and station myself on my tower,
-
on the tower, and look out to see what he
-
will say to me and what I will answer concerning
-
my complaint. Lord, this is a bunch of garbage. Do
-
you not see what's going on here? This is called
-
intercessory whining people, and some of us are really good
-
at it. I think I got an A plus at
-
times in my watch post complaining to the Lord. But
-
it's sanctified. And the Lord answered me, Write the vision,
-
make it plain on tablets so he may run who
-
reads it? For? Still? The vision awaits. It's a pointed time.
-
It hastens to the end. It will not lie. If
-
it seems slow, wait for it. It will surely come.
-
It will not delay. Behold, his soul is puffed up.
-
It is not upright within him. But the righteous shall
-
live by somebody else's faith. No, that's not what it says.
-
But the righteous shall live by faith. Faith equals risk.
-
How much risk is in your life right now? How
-
much of your life if the Lord didn't show up,
-
would just stop? Are you pressing the envelope with the impossible?
-
Because all things are possible with God. How much supernatural
-
life is in your life right now? How many things
-
happen in your life that only God can explain? Or
-
can you say, well, this is happening because of this,
-
and I did this, and I did this, and I
-
have plan A, B, C, D, E F and if
-
that doesn't work, I have more plans. There is no
-
plan B be with him. It's either you follow the
-
wind or you don't. Because the wind blows where it pleases. Okay,
-
Without deep roots, we will always fall away when tribulation
-
or testing comes. Because the roots represent your character, which
-
is developed through maturity. This is one Corinthians thirteen in
-
the Amplified And I'm going to close with this. Love
-
endures with patience and serenity. Love is kind and thoughtful.
-
It is not jealous or envious. Love does not brag.
-
It is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude.
-
It is not self seeking. It is not provoked, nor
-
overly sensitive and easily angered. It does not take into
-
account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice it injustice,
-
but rejoices with the truth when right and truth prevail.
-
Love bears all things, regardless of what comes believes all things,
-
looking for the best in each one, hopes all things,
-
remaining steadfast during difficult times, endures all things without weakening.
-
Love never fails, It never fades nor ends. But as
-
for prophecies, they will pass away. As for tongues, they
-
will cease. As for the gift of special knowledge, it
-
will pass away. Faith, hope, and love. But the greatest
-
of these is love. So here's a question. How patient
-
are you? Do you have serenity in your life? Are
-
you kind? Are you thoughtful? Do you have jealousy or envy? Remember,
-
jealousy is the fear that someone will take what you have,
-
and envy is wanting what they have. Do you brag?
-
Are you proud? Are you arrogant? Does the world know
-
how good you are because of your own words? Are
-
you rude and self seeking? Do you provoke easily? Are
-
you overly sensitive and angered easily? If you are, there's
-
probably rejection unresolved inside your heart. Bear all things regardless
-
of what will come. Do you believe all things? Or
-
do you rebut rebuke? Rebuke first and ask questions later.
-
That's one of my bottos and deliverance. Looking for the
-
best in each one, Hope all things. How's your endurance?
-
Are you weakening? Remember that? Well? Some of you may not.
-
But there's a song with the will Will the real shim?
-
Apparently I'm just gonna start talking in tongues up here
-
in a second, Will the real shims? Will the real
-
slim shady? Please stand up? Man? My tongue is getting
-
all twisted up. I've bet yeah. I think it's time
-
for us as believers, real believers, to stand up. I
-
think it's time for us to be as known for
-
our character as we are a gift. I think it's
-
time for us to be known more for our love
-
than what we're opposed of. When the Lord, when you're
-
not when the Lord? When your name is brought up
-
in conversations, is it about how great your kindness is?
-
Your goodness, your gentleness, your faithfulness, your self control? Are
-
those the things that are being brought up? I don't
-
know about you, but I hope at some point that,
-
at least in some circles, if my name is brought up,
-
that the character of Jesus is seen, and that it's
-
an attribute, and people see Jesus send me streebeck, stop it,
-
And that's what we should long for. Y'all, we're being
-
conformed into the image of Jesus, not our own. Let's
-
stand mister Micah, where are you at? Hey? Michael? Will you?
-
Can you hop on the keys for anybody? Y'all? Uh?
-
Before before we change the room and set up for
-
the pot, look, and if you didn't bring food, we
-
forgive you. It's okay. You can still stay and have
-
fun with us, just play them. But before we do that,
-
I just want to spend a couple of minutes. There's
-
a million things that could pop in your head right
-
now of resistance, and if the prayer team could come up,
-
there's a million things that could pop in your head
-
that could be an excuse for you to stop pushing,
-
to stop believing, to stop persevering, to give into the
-
adversity that's been happening. But you were born for this hour.
-
You were created by the Lord to be here at
-
this very moment in history. You're not a mistake. It's
-
not a mistake you're here this morning. It's not a
-
mistake that you live in this region and the Lord
-
is forming something very beautiful over this region. And I
-
want to tell you that the fight will be won
-
and we will see the fullness of what the Lord's
-
called this region to become. And there's an invitation. The
-
train is leaving the station, and that train is a
-
move of God and destiny for this region. And he's
-
calling you. The wind is blowing this morning. The question
-
is are we really going to lay our lives down
-
and follow where he's blowing? What's he asking you to
-
give up today to exchange? I promise you whatever you've
-
been holding on to that he's asking you to let
-
go of, to have an exchange. It's so worth it.
-
Whatever pacifier you've been using of the flow, it's worth
-
giving up because you're going to find life. You're going
-
to find abundant life in that surrender. Repentance is beautiful
-
because it clears the slate. You show up with empty
-
hands and say, Lord, fill me. I'm telling you it's
-
worth us to keep pushing, to keep seeing the Kingdom advance,
-
to believe and know that the Lord is forming, birthing
-
something beautiful in our lives and in this region. And
-
there's been a ton of loss and a ton of
-
pain that only he can heal. We can't heal it,
-
but he is healing. We are recovering and his goodness
-
is flowing. If you're hiding this morning, stop come into
-
the light. Stop hiding. If you don't know where in
-
the world you're going to spend eternity, Anybody up front
-
can show you how to surrender your life and truly
-
trust the Lord Jesus and he'll transform you from the
-
inside out. If you're battling addiction, today's a day of
-
your freedom. Stop confessing what you are not and start
-
declaring what He says you are. So, Father, I thank
-
you for your love. Lord, I thank you for your goodness.
-
I thank you for your beauty. I thank you that
-
we can give you our ashes and receive your beauty.
-
I thank you that we can give you the spirit
-
of heaviness and have a mantle of praise. Lord, Holy Spirit,
-
would you blow in this direction? Would you blow over
-
this room right now? Lord? Would you cause your ministering
-
spirits to be released in this moment and begin to
-
minister to the people. Would you begin, Lord, to bring
-
healing where healing is needed. Would you bring peace where
-
chaos has reigned? Would you bring joy instead of sorrow?
-
Would you bring freedom instead of addiction? Would you bring
-
freedom to migrains this morning? Lord, would you remove my mind?
-
Would you remove night terrors from those that have been
-
waking up in a sweat and in anxiety? Would you
-
stop the night visitations from the unclean spirits? Lord, confirm
-
your word.
-
Now, bring the power of your kingdom and give us
-
the grace to not act like mirror men and women,
-
but sons and daughters.
