The Shepherd’s Rod

You know, one of the one of the things about
-
I guess Sean didn't want to hear me talk. One
-
of the things about us staying a people of his
-
presence is that you have to get sensitive to his invitations.
-
You know, I mentioned this earlier this week, actually, I said,
-
you know, Jesus would be right in the middle of
-
ministering to the masses, I mean hundreds thousands of people,
-
and he would literally just leave. I was like, wouldn't
-
that be crazy? One Sunday, I'm like, halfway through my sermon,
-
I'm like, all right, peace out. They'd be like, where
-
are you going? I'm going to pray. But in all honesty,
-
I mean, it's it's us learning to recognize those divine
-
moments where the Lord wants to do something and in
-
that moment, in order for us to respond to an invitation,
-
we have to lay our will down, we have to
-
lay our agenda down, we have to be willing for
-
him to disrupt us. Would Eric, would you do me
-
a favor and put the picture go to the very
-
bottom of the still photos and put the shepherds thank you.
-
And we are in a very unique sea right now,
-
And I don't think it's a mistake that the Lord
-
led us down this path of the baptism of fire.
-
It was fall of twenty four that the Lord gave
-
me a dream about the fire conferences. And I've said
-
I said this last week, said this first service. I
-
am the purifying fire of God that's taking place in
-
this season. I really thought this intensity was going to
-
hit us several years ago. You know, it reminds me
-
of the prophet Ezekiel when the Lord tells Ezekiel, hey,
-
come here, I want to show you something, and he
-
digs a hole through the wall and he's watching the
-
abominations of the elders and the leaders inside the sanctuary
-
and the grotesque sin that they're committing. Well, there comes
-
a point where, after so long, God steps in. And
-
he doesn't step in because we're so amazing and we're
-
so great. He steps in for his namesake. Go do
-
a word study for every time he said, for my
-
name's sake. Because of my name's sake, I will do this.
-
He's very he's very long, suffering, very patient, slow to anger.
-
Good thing. Right, we look at somebody next to you
-
and say, thank God, he's slow to anger. Now look
-
at your now, look at your spouse and say he
-
may be slower to anger than you. Now I'm playing,
-
but seriously, we are in a in a a correction season.
-
And the other day I was reading and as the
-
as I was reading about Jesus being tempted, it says,
-
and the enemy left him until a more opportune time.
-
We're in a not just a season of God's purifying fire,
-
but we're also in a moment where the enemy is
-
going to try to divide the church. It would be
-
it's his goal to bring division, and you're already seeing
-
it right now as the Lord is exposing things. It's
-
messy right now. Can we all agree, it's really messy
-
right now? Can we all agree everybody in their uncle
-
has an opinion. Right But on the other side of
-
this correction, by the grace of God, there will be
-
a bride and a leadership in the Body of Christ
-
that is more sanctified and set apart. I said this
-
last week. Anytime you have a restoration process that ends
-
up at the expense of the victims, we're in trouble.
-
We have got to stay balanced with all of this
-
and that this is unfortunately, and you need to know this. Unfortunately,
-
this really is the tip of the iceberg with the
-
amount of things that have been done in secret. Right now,
-
the Lord is shaking every mountain of influence, and every
-
mountain is being exposed. They just released more Epstein files
-
and tons of stuff's coming out on that. Hey, they
-
couldn't find the noose, big surprise, there's no noose in
-
a jail. They have no evidence of a noose from
-
his jail cell. And the one camera that work that
-
just so happened to be turned our way off to
-
the side where you could barely see somebody in orange
-
go up. See, we think we can get away with
-
things that we think are minimal and that it we're
-
gonna be just fine, and that somehow the Lord's not
-
looking at those things the same way as these other
-
issues that we have dealt with. And I've said this
-
over the years. What we think is little on earth
-
is actually big in heaven. And it's the little things
-
that we justify in our life that we're not yet
-
ready to let go that's actually hindering us from being
-
promoted into the deeper things of what God has for
-
our lives. Your promotion equals responsibility in the Kingdom. So
-
when God promotes you. He increases the level of responsibility,
-
because responsibility equates to authority. But then it says, not
-
many of you should desire to be teachers because guess what,
-
you're even more accountable. He's we're leaders are on a
-
shorter leash. If you think you can't get away with something,
-
just going to full time ministry as a or deacon.
-
It's like a choker chain you hold on. Lord. But
-
I want to tell you, if you're one of those
-
people that can't get away with anything, you ask my wife.
-
We've been married twenty six years, and I can't get
-
away with anything. I mean anything which is yes, who
-
said that that is a good thing? I can't. I mean,
-
I think about trying to get away with something on
-
my wh But we can't lose sight in this moment.
-
Our eyes are supposed to be fixed on the author
-
and finisher of our faith. Part of one of the
-
things the enemy wants to do in this hour is
-
actually cause people to fall away because they get jaded
-
with the lack of character and the leaders in the church.
-
And if you're and if you're in a place where
-
you're already pulling everything apart, and you're and you haven't
-
dealt with your pain from church. This is just one
-
more rock on the stack that you, in your own
-
mind could try to justify and be like, Yep, I
-
think I'm done. Remember it says that there's going to
-
be a falling away, y'all. Don't put man on a pedestal.
-
I don't care who it is, how much anointing is
-
on there. One of the most godly men that I
-
that I met in my entire life was John Paul Jackson.
-
That guy could he could pull into this parking lot
-
right now, and without exaggeration, you would feel an increase
-
of the presence of Jesus. Was just talking to a
-
pastor buddy of mine. They literally had to change the
-
ISO on the cameras with John Paul because he literally
-
radiated light and it was picked up on the cameras
-
and they had to adjust it. But he was still
-
a human being. He just carried the presence of Jesus intensely.
-
I walked away that day the first time I met him,
-
after being froze holding his hand for what felt like
-
ten minutes and not being able to talk. My wife
-
saved me. She eventually came in and shook his hand,
-
but I was getting an impartation I didn't know I
-
was going to get. And I remember walking away that
-
day in twenty ten and saying, Jesus, I don't care
-
what it takes. I want to carry you like he does.
-
I have tangible proof. Now I met somebody that carries
-
you the way I want to carry you. And so
-
I've been on this journey of pursuing him and desiring
-
to carry the presence of the Living God in a
-
way that would change people's lives without talking because of
-
Christ in me. And that comes with the price. It
-
doesn't come overnight. We don't get to we don't get
-
to get on some kind of fast track or determine
-
how much of His manifest presence we're gonna carry. But
-
like the song says, may we never lose our hunger,
-
well it says wonder, I say hunger. May we never
-
lose our wonder, our hunger. And last week when I
-
released the word about the Shepherd's Rod, I felt like
-
the Lord was speaking to me to expound on that.
-
And it's Ezekiel twenty thirty five to thirty eight, and
-
I will bring you into the wilderness of the people.
-
And there I will enter into judgment with you, face
-
to face, as I entered into judgment with your father
-
and the wilderness of the land of Egypt. So I
-
will enter into judgment with you, declares the Lord God.
-
I will make you pass under the rod, and I
-
will bring you into the bond of the covenant. I
-
will purge out the rebels from among you, and those
-
who transgress against me. I will bring them out of
-
the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter
-
the land of Israel. Then you'll know that I am
-
the Lord. I want to tell you this morning that
-
if you stiff arm the Lord in this season, you
-
will forfeit where he wants to take you in the
-
next one. Mark it down. He is coming closer. The
-
purifying fire of the Lord is here. He is dealing
-
with the body of Christ. He is dealing with the
-
injustice of our nation. And he's doing this because of
-
his namesake. He's doing this because he's a good father.
-
He's doing this because of love. And he doesn't wink
-
at people when they live their lives at the expense
-
of others. The absolute deprivity of man, and in our culture,
-
it's honestly mind boggling at times. I mean, you look
-
at the lighting of the torch at the Olympics and
-
you realize it's an upside down pentagram and all the
-
occult symbolism is they're not even hiding anymore. And we
-
have been and soul lulled to sleep. If I said
-
that word right, If not, I will have an AI
-
moment with Caelin. But it's been it's been a slumbering lullaby.
-
Remember Jesus said, what I say to you, I say
-
to everyone, stay awake. So have you grown tired? Have
-
you fallen asleep this morning? Where's your inner desire with
-
the Lord? I'm very I don't know about y'all, but
-
I personally am someone who is very structured. I like
-
my quiet times a certain way consistently. I do not
-
like it when my quiet times get disrupted and I
-
have to change how I do my quiet times. I'm
-
being honest and that I feel like the Lord flipped
-
me upside down on my head in the last season
-
and I was like, oh my goodness, and I had
-
to adjust how I was spending time with the Lord
-
and the way it looked like, what if we were
-
so legalistic and rigid with our spouses that we just
-
did the same old, same old, exact same thing every
-
single day at the exact same time, and did not
-
ever vary from that, never went off course from it.
-
We're doing breakfast at this time. I'm gonna tell you
-
my needs. In ten minutes, I'm gonna have two cups
-
of coffee. And I'm serious, y'all. All of a sudden,
-
the wonder, the all and the wonder and the beauty
-
of that relationship is literally crushed, because deep down inside
-
we want to be in control of that relationship so
-
we don't get hurt. We set our prayer agendas and
-
stick to them in detail, less the tangible presence of
-
the Holy Spirit begin to move into places of our
-
hearts that we're not ready. You understand that you have
-
to be very conscious of how you handle fire. I
-
love how Jesus is the metaphor of him is a lion.
-
And what was it? Who was it said that he's
-
he's good, but he's not safe. Good luck with putting
-
a lion on a leash, Good luck with trying to
-
put a lion in a cage. And right now the
-
roar of the Lion of Judo is being released and
-
there's this purifying fire of the Holy Spirit that is
-
being poured out in this hour. And it's so important that,
-
just like with Moses in the burning bush, that we
-
take time to turn and see why this bush is
-
not being consumed when it's on fire. And it's the
-
same way that God longs for us to carry his presence,
-
that we would burn, but yet we're still here, That
-
we would be like the bush burning with the fire
-
of God but not consumed. And then people would turn
-
because of the way you live your life, to see
-
why you're burning this way and yet you're still here.
-
People all around us right now are are perplexed, perplexed.
-
They are having difficulties sleeping, They're worried about their financial future,
-
They're worried about the what this country is going to
-
look like? Yet alone are is ai going to take
-
their job? There's so many things happening right now. I
-
want to tell you it's not going to make a
-
lick of difference if you have a bachelor's degree in
-
five years. That everything that we have called the norm
-
is literally changing. But you know it's not changing the
-
truth of the gospel. You know it's not changing. Is
-
that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith,
-
not leaders. You know, it's not changing. He's the same yesterday, today,
-
in forever Hebrews thirteen thirteen. I believe he does not change,
-
and he is intentional with his bride in this moment.
-
And we're going to continue to have invitations where we
-
can turn and look at the bush and then we hear,
-
take off your shoes. This is holy ground. What if
-
you lived a life that was so connected, so close
-
to him that if somebody messed with you, they instantly
-
had to deal with the manifest presence of the Lord
-
that says, back off my son, back off my daughter,
-
because we're in that dark night of the spirit where
-
we recognize that nothing of eternal significance can happen apart
-
from the Holy Spirit doing something through us. In Deuteronomy
-
eight two to three, it says, and you shall remember
-
the whole way that the Lord your God has led
-
you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might
-
humble you, testing you to know what's in your heart.
-
It goes back to the same principle when he left
-
the king to test to see what was in his heart?
-
Did he know it was in his heart. Absolutely, he
-
doesn't gain a knowledge, but yet he deals with us
-
in our finite state. That means you're little. He doesn't
-
judge you based on tomorrow. That would be injustice. James says,
-
be quick to hear, and slow to speak, and slow
-
to become angry. I want to tell you that is
-
one of the greatest scriptures we can remember in this hour.
-
Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to
-
become angry, for the anger of man does not produce
-
the righteousness of God. Chris was saying at for Service,
-
there's a way that seems right and a man, but
-
in the end it leads to death. Proverbs, and in
-
this moment we need to be reminded of Proverbs three,
-
five and six. Trust in the Lord with all of
-
your heart. Don't lean on your own understanding in all
-
of your ways. Acknowledge Him and he'll make your paths straight.
-
You know when it says in the Psalms, delight yourself
-
in the Lord, and He'll give you the desires of
-
your heart. That means, through that intimacy, that connection with
-
the Lord, that your heart changes and you begin to
-
delight in what the Father delights in. And then Therefore
-
it is according to his will, and he is justified
-
to give you the desires of your heart. Remember the
-
whole way that the Lord your God has led you
-
these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you,
-
testing you to know what's in your heart, whether you
-
would keep his commandments or not. And he humbled you
-
and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which
-
you did not know, nor did your fathers know that
-
he might make you know that man does not live
-
by bread alone, but man lives by every word that
-
comes from the mouth of the Lord. Did you know
-
that's exactly the scripture Jesus quoted to Satan in the
-
wilderness when he goes to you're the son of God,
-
command these stones to turn into bread, and he goes,
-
man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
-
word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Proverb says,
-
one man's story sounds right, and so the other one
-
shows up. You know what I've learned with marriage counseling,
-
You better get both of them in the room to
-
get the truth. Come on, we all got that halo
-
effect when we come into counseling. Oh yeah, if they're
-
way works and my stuff's you know, well, let's bring
-
them in and see what they think about that statement.
-
But the problem is, and especially with social media, you're
-
getting one side of the story many times, CNN, the
-
communist News Network, I can go off on all the networks.
-
It's okay, But the truth is you're being told a
-
narrative and they want you to believe that narrative. The
-
enemy's telling you a narrative of your life every single day,
-
hoping that you take it hook line and sinker so
-
that you're veered away from actually remembering that you have
-
the mind of Christ and that his word is spiritually discerned,
-
which means the world doesn't understand it. So when you're
-
going down this path and you're like, hey, I need
-
to go over here, or hey I need to go
-
for a walk and pray and talk with the Lord,
-
and somebody else is like, why why are you doing that?
-
Just go do this because they don't understand. There's a
-
way that seems right to man, but in the end
-
it leads to death. And there's there's hundreds of millions
-
of people that are partaking from the tree of the
-
knowledge of good and evil. They're partaking of the good
-
of that tree, and they think it's God and it's not.
-
And it's the good off the tree of knowledge, of
-
good and evil that are going to take so many
-
people to destruction. Y'all with me, But who can endure
-
the day of his coming? And who can stand when
-
he appears? For he's like a refiner's fire, like fuller soap.
-
He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.
-
He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them
-
like gold and silver. They will bring offerings in the
-
righteousness to the in righteousness to the Lord. Y'all, your
-
faith is being tried by the fire of God, and
-
you should not think it's strange when you end up
-
in these fiery trials. He tells us that why is
-
it we always get shocked every time we get into
-
a fiery trial. It's like we get amnesia and we
-
forget that in this life you're gonna have trouble. Who
-
kind of wish that would have been, like you know,
-
capital letters bold and about a thirty eight font, like
-
you open it up and like in this life you'll
-
have trouble. And yet when trouble comes, we're like, I
-
can't believe this, what did I do nothing? You're welcome
-
so that the tested genuineness of your faith more precious
-
than gold that perishes, though it's test by fire, may
-
be found to result in praise and glory and honor
-
at the revelation of Jesus. You're gonna walk on streets
-
of gold. Anybody paying attention to the silver and gold
-
market and just shoo, shoo, shoom like all over the board.
-
We're gonna walk on it. The things that cause nations
-
to go to war and sacrifice their people for it,
-
We're gonna walk on it. In Heaven who gave himself
-
for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to
-
purify for himself of people for his own possession who
-
are zealous for good works. So y'all coming under the rod,
-
this is a good thing. Coming under the shepherd's rod
-
prophetically symbolizes undergoing divine examination, just like Yam Kapoor with
-
those that still observe Yam Kapoor because they've not given
-
the Jews have not recognized Jesus as their savior. The
-
day of Atonement. Remember in the Old Covenant, before the
-
temple was destroyed, on the day of atonement Yam Kapoor,
-
the high priest would go into the Holy of Holies,
-
but he would have a rope tied around him with
-
bells pomegranates, and the moment those bells stop moving, well,
-
you're gonna ordain a new high priest because he went
-
into the Holy of Holies with sin in his life.
-
And then in the New Covenant that says we can
-
come boldly before the throne of Grace. We can come
-
boldly before his throne. Why because we are in Christ.
-
I think if we would have lived under the Old
-
Covenant just for a few moments and then come and
-
then transport back into twenty twenty six and the New Covenant,
-
we would realize the amazing gift, the amazing gift. You
-
know what that amazing gift is, that amazing gift obviously
-
eternal life. But guess what. In the Old Covenant, the
-
Holy Spirit would rest on a select few You're kings
-
and priests, prophets. And then fast forward into the New Covenant,
-
the presence of God, the spirit of God is dwelling
-
inside of every believer. You're the arc, You're the temple,
-
You're the living stone. You're the one that people should
-
be like, if I get too close, I might get zapped.
-
But instead we're so earthly focused and earthly bound that
-
we forget that we're not near human near men anymore.
-
We're a new creation. We've become divine partakers of his
-
divine nature. The God of the universe dwells inside of you.
-
It's not a metaphor. The creator of the universe, the
-
one that the universe exists inside of, has taken up
-
residence inside of you. So coming under the shepherd's rod
-
symbolizes the undergoing divine examination, discipline, and being fathered by God.
-
It describes purging and correction, and separation of the faith,
-
separation of faithful from the faith lists and I want
-
to tell you there's a line being drawn in the sand.
-
The wolfs will not hide in this season, and if we,
-
as leaders are not willing to call them out, we
-
have no business leading. It represents a covenant relationship where
-
God guides, protects, and when necessary corrects as people similar
-
to a shepherd, the shepherd uses the rod to count
-
and inspect each sheep, distinguishing them, as mentioned in Leviticus
-
twenty seven point thirty two, where they'd take a tenth
-
of the animals and set it apart for the Lord.
-
The rod correction and discipline, and the rod acts as
-
a tool for discipline, not just punishment, but training to
-
guide the sheep back under the right path. It's also
-
a protector. We come under for protection. The Lord's my shepherd.
-
I shall not want. He makes me lie down in
-
green pastures. He leads me besides still waters. He restores
-
my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness. For
-
his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley
-
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
-
for You're with me. Your rod and your staff they
-
comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the
-
presence of my enemy. You anoint my head with oil,
-
and my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
-
me all the days of my life, and I'll dwell
-
in the house of the Lord forever. This bond of covenant,
-
This remembering as we come under and go into that
-
bond of covenant, that God made covenant with us. It
-
was by the blood of Jesus, just like when He
-
cut covenant with Abraham and the animal was split in two.
-
The Lord is the one that went between the two halves,
-
because they would do that when they cut covenant with
-
each other, and it was symbolizing that if I break
-
this covenant, let me be cut into two, just like
-
this animal. And the Lord knew that God or that
-
man did not have the capacity to keep those covenants.
-
So the Lord himself cut covenant with Abraham and went
-
through that sacrifice between it, and he's saying I would
-
be He says he would be cut into two if
-
he broke the covenant. And so therefore, when Jesus comes
-
to redeem us and this new covenant, he's the sacrifice
-
because we can't do it. And that's why it says
-
in First John, even when we are unfaithful, he remains faithful,
-
for he cannot deny himself even when our hearts condemn us.
-
He is greater than our heart. And so passing under
-
the rod brings the sheep into a closer committed relationship
-
with the Lord. That is the goal, a deeper intimate
-
relationship with the Lord and actually having a greater revelation
-
of the new covenant that we're under. Don't worry, I'm
-
almost done. You know what's interesting is coming under the
-
shepherd's rod. As the sheep come in every night, the
-
shepherd inspects the sheep, he counts the sheep, He takes
-
inventory of his sheep. Kind of goes back to the
-
Lord's prayer. Give me this day my daily bread. Forgive
-
me and my trespasses, as I forgive those that trespass
-
against me. You know, there are scriptures that we don't
-
like teaching on. How many sermons you heard on the
-
Book of Job, like the new Believer said, did you
-
know jobs in the Bible? Or how about this, how
-
many sermons have you heard of? You don't forgive, you
-
won't be forgiven. And yet so many times we hold
-
on to forgiveness for months and years, and it literally
-
begins to eat away at our soul and cause physical illness.
-
So many times people literally get physically healed when they
-
actually forgive and deal with bitterness in their heart. Bitterness
-
can cause cancer, They can cause osteoporosis, It rots the bones.
-
There's so many of these principles in proverbs, if you'll
-
read it, proverb says, the heart knows its own bitterness.
-
That's why if you've ever been in my office and
-
you say, I don't know what does pastor justin say
-
I don't know, don't live here, I don't know. Many
-
times is actually confusion masquerading under the name I don't know.
-
And you're partnering with that confusion because if you don't know,
-
then you don't have to go there, And if you
-
don't have to go there, you don't have to deal
-
with the pain. That is called disassociation. And many of
-
us have a PhD in it. If you find yourself
-
saying I don't know all the time, could do it?
-
Send it away, say I break agreement with with I
-
don't know, because there is a part of you that
-
knows that was also free. I'm gonna land the plane
-
you already, I'll be safe. So he's an illuminating fire,
-
and he is illuminating everything says what is done in
-
secret will be shout shouted from the mountaintops. This is
-
actually a beautiful season if you have eyes to see
-
in the proper way to see it. Now, I'm not
-
saying beautiful in all the stuff that's happened for us
-
on a local level, but I'm saying what the Lord's
-
doing right now in this hour a big picture. As
-
he's purifying the bride he is cleaning house out of
-
his love because he's a good father. And I want
-
to encourage you to stay humble, to stay hungry, and
-
to stay teachable. Don't lose those things. Don't lose them.
-
If you don't lose those three things alone, that will
-
help ensure that you live a life that actually ends
-
well and you don't shipwreck your faith. I bet you,
-
at least right now as I stand, I will be
-
forty nine years old in April. Yes, I know it's
-
hard to believe Lisa and I are the same age,
-
but it's a true story. But I'll be forty nine
-
and I can tell you probably fifty percent of the
-
people that I had been in in ministry connection with
-
are no longer in ministry. In fact, many of them
-
have pulled their spiritual life apart to such a degree
-
that it's hard to even recognize, and it should not be.
-
There is a falling away that's been prophesied in scripture,
-
and I believe that we're beginning to see it. But
-
it doesn't have to It doesn't have to be you,
-
and it doesn't have to happen on your watch. To
-
the best of your ability, keep your eyes on Jesus,
-
because I'm telling you the corruption in perversion that's being
-
exposed is way deeper than many think. And so keep
-
your eyes on the Lord in the midst of it.
-
And it says, bad company corrupts good habits, right are
-
good morals? Have wisdom on who you choose for friendships.
-
If there's anybody in your life right now that is
-
actually pulling you down, that is actually hurting your life,
-
your your walk with Jesus, then adjust the boundary of
-
your life with them. You're commanded to forgive. You're not
-
commanded to be close friends with everybody. You don't take
-
al Qaeda into your home and have dinner with them.
-
And there's gonna be friendships in your life that come
-
and go, and there's gonna be friendships that, because of
-
their unhealth, at least in the season you're in, you're
-
gonna have to bump their closeness to you out a
-
few circles to have healthy boundaries. And maybe that changes.
-
But you have got to guard your heart proverbs for
-
guard your hot, your heart for out of it flow
-
the issues of life. Don't be misled. Bad company corrupts
-
good habits, good morals. You want to be a champion
-
in the faith, and you better start hanging out with
-
giant slayers, y'all with me. The closer you get to him,
-
it does affect where you spend your time. You want
-
to you want to walk and have a life beyond
-
the veil. You want to radiate the light of Jesus.
-
You want to truly be the salt that He's called
-
you to be. Then embrace his covenant, come under his correction,
-
Understand that his correction is righteousness, his correction is for
-
our good, and make swift changes when he corrects you.
-
Swift swift obedience because it's out of a father's love. Man.
-
That was Jake didn't get kicked off the drums, if
-
you were wondering. He had to leave for work. So
-
we were trying to do a swapout, and then I realized,
-
I don't know that I ever played that last song.
-
So I was like, Lord, have mercy on me because
-
I'm like, but y'all don't know the whole story with
-
Jake and I. You know, it's not my place. But
-
his testimony was so powerful this morning to recognize that
-
he's a loving father. When you know that he's a
-
loving father, it changes your perspective when he brings correction.
-
My closest friends in my life right now, which aren't many,
-
but my closest friends will hold my feet to the fire.
-
They will call me out if I get a spirit
-
of stupid and I want that. I need that, We
-
need that, We need those covenant friendships. This guy right here,
-
we've been through Helen back probably a couple of times,
-
and I trust him. I trust him more than and
-
there's been in this last season. I've had to trust
-
him and our elder's Kylie, my wife. I've had to
-
trust people. I've had to trust him in the last
-
couple of years more than I trusted myself in certain seasons.
-
And I would not have been able to navigate the
-
last couple of years without amazing people around me. They're
-
my heroes, Derek and Kylie. They're my heroes, Sean, Sarah,
-
they're my heroes, our team. There are no long rangers
-
in the Kingdom. We need each other. And I want
-
to encourage you and warn you, do not let the
-
enemy bring division with you in this hour, and don't
-
blame everything on the enemy either. Sometimes they're blaming the
-
enemy and it's the Lord and he's over there going
-
it's not him. I'll finish with this. I remember. Reminded
-
me of a story of actually John Paul Jackson. He
-
was over in Europe, I believe, or Scotland or something,
-
and he was super say, his ankles had swollen up.
-
He'd had something seriously wrong with him, and he was like, Lord,
-
if you don't heal me, i am going to the
-
hospital because he was just in a horrible place. All
-
of a sudden, this man appears in his room in
-
the middle of the night. It looked like he was
-
from Mexico what he said, and he goes, I've come
-
to heal you. And he laid his hands on him,
-
and he said he felt like this hot scroll begin
-
to unfold, going up and going down, and everywhere that
-
had had unfolded, he was healed, but everywhere else he
-
could feel the physical pain in his body. And uh
-
so this was his encounter. The man disappears and John
-
Paul goes, Lord, thank you so much for sending your
-
angel to heal me. And he hears the Lord say,
-
part of me. It wasn't an angel. And John Paul goes, oh, no,
-
the enemy healed me. I'm gonna die the enemy healed me.
-
And then he the Lord says it wasn't him. And
-
then John Paul was like, well, Lord, who was it?
-
And then he showed him an open vision of this
-
man way off in the way out in the boondocks
-
in Mexico, praying and saying, Lord, if you can use
-
me with whatever time's left in my life, would you
-
please use me? And when he was there praying, the
-
Lord had trayed, I know this is a stretching some
-
of you all, I can feel it. He transported the
-
Lord transported him from his wherever he was and into
-
that hotel room to pray for John Paul. And the
-
Lord told him from here on out that man will
-
have a part of your fruit, your rewards. So, I know,
-
talking about the supernatural and angels and demons and deliverance
-
and all this stuff isn't super popular. And I know
-
right now the charismatic movements and a stinking boiling pot
-
of you know, But the reality is the word of
-
God is the word of God. Don't throw the baby
-
out with the bathwater. He gave us these gifts to
-
destroy the works of the evil One, and I plan
-
on using them, stewarding them and asking for increase, and
-
I hope and pray that I continue to grow in
-
my prophetic gifting. And I will promise you this. You
-
will not see me with my cell phone in front
-
of me giving you words of knowledge. I'm not kidding.
-
I will not have a phone in front of me.
-
I don't care. If it's to write something down, I
-
won't do it because I want people to know that
-
when the Lord speaks to me, that oh that it
-
is legit. And I'm totally fine with getting short, little
-
words that aren't super detailed. And then that's God's business
-
how he handles that. You just be willing for him
-
to speak to you, That's what matters. Well. I trust
-
that you were blessed by the Lord today and we
-
look forward to seeing you online next Sunday. In the meantime,
-
