That's not rebellion.
-
When my son now makes his own cereal and puts on his own clothes, I'm not going to say,
-
oh, you're such a rebellious son.
-
Who told you to change?
-
Who told you to cook for yourself?
-
He's growing.
-
So here you will grow.
-
To the degree that you yourself are going to give yourself bread to eat.
-
And what does the scripture say?
-
I am in need.
-
The scripture says that everyone who believes in him will be called son of God.
-
And here it says that I am also a god.
-
I am also co-inheritor with Christ.
-
But how if you don't have that knowledge and that growth in him?
-
I have not seen a righteous man forsaken.
-
And look in the Bible.
-
Oh, Pastor, but that's a righteous man, not me.
-
We are made righteous by him.
-
We are made righteous by our faith in him.
-
In other words, I am an American citizen.
-
United States.
-
American citizen, yes sir.
-
You know why?
-
I look Mexican.
-
I eat Chilean tortillas.
-
But I am American citizen.
-
I have been born again in the United States.
-
I vowed before I judge.
-
And I told him I reject my Mexican nationality.
-
That's not right.
-
Yes it is.
-
And I vowed.
-
I make a commitment and I pledge allegiance to the United States.
-
And the judge said, well that's enough.
-
But you must do you know how to talk the language.
-
See there's a process.
-
So we must grow in our faith.
-
You must learn to read the Bible.
-
Learn to defraise words.
-
But be like a child.
-
Ask questions to God.
-
Go before your heavenly father.
-
He will give you the answers.
-
He will give you the petitions that you ask him for.
-
And if you don't understand and you don't know how.
-
Well then yes, go to the pastor.
-
Go to the elder of the church.
-
Go and ask for help.
-
Because when this little boy, when he was seven years old,
-
he would say, dad, I'm going to ask for help.
-
He would say, daddy, can you help me?
-
Help you what?
-
Show me how to ride a bike.
-
Daddy had to go to work.
-
He was super busy.
-
He would ask his cousin.
-
Next time I know, he's jumping ramps with his cousin.
-
Do you understand what I'm saying?
-
Don't just sit there with your arms crossed.
-
Grow in your faith.
-
And your total dependency on God.
-
That he's giving you a huge family.
-
We have brothers here that are blessing to me.
-
They encourage me.
-
They take depression away.
-
Just with a text.
-
Sometimes doubt comes into my mind because I'm also attacked by doubt.
-
And I go to the word and then I will have a text that comes in.
-
Oh, I was praying for you.
-
So let's keep going.
-
Faith begins with him and is perfected in him.
-
According to verse two, it says that he is the finisher,
-
the one who completes the story.
-
An author is the one who owns the story.
-
An author is the one who thinks about it, has an idea, and then will write it down.
-
What did God write about you?
-
When you're going through tribulations and struggles,
-
when you have a need,
-
whether it be in your physical body or financial,
-
Romans 12.3, let's go there.
-
For I say through the grace given on to me,
-
every man has been given some sort of faith to start with Jesus.
-
Romans 12.3 says,
-
for I say on to you through the grace has been given on to me,
-
to every man that is among you,
-
not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think.
-
I am not better than you.
-
Like I keep on telling you,
-
I speak to everyone here and I keep on affirming you.
-
I am not better than you.
-
As a matter of fact, I don't think you're better than me either.
-
Go and look at your car, take off a wheel,
-
let's see how far it can get,
-
or if you leave the tires on, but just cut off a little,
-
from the battery.
-
Each one, the scripture says,
-
according to the measure of faith that the Lord gave out
-
to one person he gives a tire,
-
to some people he gives the keys.
-
Someone has the keys, but they don't have any batteries in them
-
for the control.
-
God gives out a measure of faith to some people,
-
have bigger ones than others, but they're unnecessary.
-
For the body of Christ,
-
never think that you are better just because you speak tongues
-
if God uses you.
-
If God uses you to heal someone that's sick,
-
don't think that you are better than the sister
-
that comes up and just prays.
-
It doesn't matter how strong the car is,
-
it could be a VA motor.
-
But a little thing,
-
take out this little thing,
-
a little really important cable,
-
and it'll just be broken.
-
That is faith, people.
-
So God gives out a measure to the people.
-
Sometimes I bite my nails off,
-
and then I have an itch somewhere, and I regret it.
-
And I'm like, dang, why did I just bite my nails?
-
I'm itchy.
-
Something is insignificant as a fingernail.
-
Luke 17.5.
-
Faith has the capacity to grow in each one of us continually.
-
We open with this verse
-
that the Apostles said unto the Lord,
-
increase our faith.
-
So if you didn't believe,
-
or if you don't believe right now,
-
in the healing,
-
in the complete healing, total healing,
-
may the Lord increase your faith today.
-
Ask the Lord for an increase.
-
If you don't believe,
-
or it's hard for you,
-
accept that the Lord is your provider.
-
Even though you're living a need,
-
ask the Lord to increase your faith in that area.
-
I have not seen the righteous man forsaken,
-
nor his offspring be begging for bread.
-
Is someone bullying you?
-
Yeah, they bully us at this age too.
-
The armor of the Lord,
-
the angel of the Lord surrounds me,
-
he protects me, and he defends me.
-
Friend, I lived through this.
-
There's this one time this really big man,
-
a secular man came up to me,
-
and you know how the Lord sent his angel?
-
He sent two young men
-
that played football in high school.
-
I won't keep telling you my stories.
-
He said,
-
I'll keep telling you.
-
Whatever you want with preacher,
-
you're going to have to take us.
-
What do you want with the pastor?
-
You have to fight him.
-
And there was a huge goliath there.
-
I couldn't with the football players.
-
I was sharing it with my wife,
-
and I was so joyful.
-
So how can we grow in faith?
-
1 Peter 1, verse 8 to 9,
-
through relationship.
-
Amen.
-
Number two,
-
through hearing the word of God,
-
and three, is fixing our eyes on Jesus.
-
I just gave you the scriptures
-
to grow in our relationship with God
-
or in our faith in God.
-
It's really important.
-
Scripture says that even though we have not seen him,
-
if you believe,
-
although we don't see him right now,
-
we are filled with joy,
-
with joy unspeakable and full of glory.
-
Verse 9,
-
there it is,
-
obtaining the faith,
-
the end of your faith,
-
even the salvation of your souls.
-
Scripture says,
-
the Lord will fulfill his purpose
-
in me.
-
Pastor, I fell into sin.
-
I have good news for you,
-
because God loved you so much
-
that he sent Jesus.
-
He made you righteous.
-
You are made righteous through faith in him.
-
How many times is the righteous man going to fall?
-
How many times have you fallen?
-
Have you fell?
-
I doubt that you've been counting how many times you've messed up.
-
And if it's more than seven times,
-
the Bible doesn't say that after seven times
-
you're not going to be forgiven.
-
Scripture says that we have
-
an attorney that intercedes for us
-
if we were to have sin.
-
That is the faith that I have.
-
And when I see my attorney,
-
I remember I have to be suited up.
-
I have to be good,
-
because I don't want to go up to the court of the highest judge.
-
You have to be crazy if you like going to the court with the judges.
-
I don't think there's anyone here that loves going to court.
-
So you have to align yourself. Get up.
-
If the righteous man falls seven times,
-
the Lord will pick him up seven times.
-
That is faith.
-
Another point is that we have to keep our faith pure.
-
First Peter 1.7.
-
And I'm wrapping up.
-
First Peter chapter 1 verse 7.
-
That the trial of your faith
-
being much more precious than of gold that perished,
-
though it be tried by fire,
-
might be found unto praise and honor and glory
-
at the appearance of Jesus Christ.
-
Our faith rises, it grows,
-
when it is tried,
-
when what faith is tried, say my faith,
-
not Pastor Joel's faith,
-
and that faith is much more precious than gold,
-
that although it perishes, it be tried with fire.
-
Have you ever felt that your faith is more precious than gold?
-
And is it be tried with fire?
-
Have you felt that you've gone through a fire?
-
I have good news for you.
-
More good news.
-
When you go through fire,
-
that's what's going to take you to growth.
-
It will not burn you.
-
Fire will not burn you.
-
And the flame of that fire will not burn you.
-
That's not Pastor Joel just making things up.
-
That is the Word of God.
-
And the Word of God is truth.
-
I am a liar.
-
Every man is a liar, but God is truth.
-
Sato, ya quiero traer casa, señora, ayúdame.
-
Lord, I want to preach already, help me.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Tenemos que prepararnos para los días que vienen en pueblo.
-
We have to get ready for the days that are coming, people.
-
We have to lead us to growth.
-
Our faith is going to be tried,
-
but the purpose is for it to grow.
-
I need like a big muscular man.
-
There was a man that was like very muscular before.
-
For those muscles to grow, he had to work them out.
-
And it would cause him pain.
-
He was in the gym one time.
-
I couldn't walk the next day.
-
Do y'all remember that?
-
And then my wife told me,
-
Oh, look at your legs.
-
Hallelujah.
-
And I can say that because that's my wife.
-
People, it hurts.
-
The trial that you go through,
-
the tribulation that you go through,
-
it will produce in you a greater weight of glory.
-
A faith muscle that will be stronger,
-
that nothing can move you.
-
It will stiffen you in the spirit.
-
Hallelujah.
-
I ran out of time.
-
Let's pray.
-
But we have to grow and faith people.
-
Close your eyes.
-
There is a need to grow.
-
It's in the heart of the Holy Spirit,
-
in the heart of the Father,
-
that we may grow in faith,
-
just like Jesus,
-
when he was presented to the temple in Jerusalem.
-
The Bible says that the child grew
-
in staturine and wisdom.
-
I pray in this hour, Father,
-
that you take us to the growth,
-
that you take us into the growth of knowledge in Jesus Christ,
-
the author and the finisher of our faith.
-
Holy Spirit, grow us in your faith.
-
The level of faith that you have given us,
-
like the talents we want to be faithful,
-
produce in us a holy anger
-
to say enough is enough.
-
I am going to invest my faith.
-
I am going to put my faith to work
-
and grow in multiplies.
-
And then I may be found faithful.
-
Close your eyes
-
so that you're not distracted.
-
Right there where you are,
-
the Holy Spirit is working.
-
Working.
-
Yes.
-
Father, we receive your spirit by faith.
-
We receive an increase of your faith.
-
Your word says,
-
I sow an appalled harvested.
-
What I'm saying is that you are the one who gives growth.
-
You are the only one
-
that helps us in our faith.
-
I pray, Heavenly Father, at this time
-
that our faith will be increased.
-
Those who find it difficult to live in holiness,
-
and I am one of them,
-
the need to live in holiness every day,
-
producing us the desire and the longing to want to be with you,
-
to show you more.
-
Lord,
-
give us faith
-
so we may believe in you.
-
Now we may believe that we have everything in you.
-
Give us faith
-
to believe for the restoration of our marriage.
-
Increase our faith
-
in marriage,
-
in our relationships with our family,
-
in our businesses.
-
Increase our faith, Father.
-
We pray at this time
-
that you may hear us
-
when we cry out to you.
-
If there is someone who doesn't know how to pray,
-
Holy Spirit,
-
you are the one who helps us
-
in our weaknesses.
-
We don't know how to come to the Father,
-
but you, Holy Spirit,
-
I declare in decree
-
that you are the one who takes us and guides us
-
to all truth and righteousness.
-
When we need righteousness,
-
you guide us on how to pray
-
when we have some kind of need.
-
Your Holy Spirit teaches us how to pray.
-
Give us more.
-
Give us an increase of faith
-
that we may be able to go to your throne
-
in confidence, your throne of grace.
-
Even when we are in sin,
-
we can draw near
-
as your children
-
to the throne of your grace
-
believing,
-
being convinced
-
that you empower us
-
to go and draw near to you.
-
You are not just looking for your Holy Children.
-
The purpose for sending Jesus to die on the cross
-
is because you love the sinner.
-
Holy Spirit,
-
convince our minds
-
when we are in sin.
-
You convince the world of sin
-
and persuade us to go to the throne of sin
-
that you will not reject us,
-
that if we come to you and we are
-
and we repent,
-
recognizing our sin,
-
we have the Council of Jesus Christ
-
who intercedes on our behalf
-
day and night
-
and that you receive us, Father.
-
Give us that confidence through faith.
-
Give us more.
-
An increase in faith
-
so that we can say as the soul is said,
-
I will put my eyes up into the mountains
-
where my aid is coming from.
-
Where will it come from, people?
-
My help comes from the Lord.
-
Who is that King of Glory?
-
The one who created the heavens and the earth.
-
I bless you, people.
-
I bless you, people.
-
I bless you, people.
-
The one who created the heavens and the earth
-
will not let you fall
-
in the name of Jesus.
-
The one who keeps your life
-
is Jesus Christ.
-
You're a keeper.
-
You are there.
-
If you have straightaway, go back to him.
-
Increase your faith to go back to him.
-
The Lord is your shadow.
-
He is at your right hand.
-
The Lord is your shadow.
-
The sun will not wear you out during the day.
-
Increase your faith.
-
Keep it here going.
-
Turning down your life.
