Invited To His Supper | Invitado A Su Cena Podcast 87 Parte 1

for your life. Jesus is the center of everything

we do. Burning Lab Church. So we're gonna see

a parable that Jesus shared in a place where

he was invited. Oops. Can you hold this one for

me? This was two weeks ago. It's Luke 14. We're

gonna go just one chapter back. Now we're ready.

So now we're in the supper of the Lord. Verse

7. So he told a parable to those who were invited

when he noted how they chose the best places,

saying to them, when you are invited by anyone

to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best

place, lest one more honorable man you be invited

by him. And he who invited you and him come and

say to you give place to this man and then you

begin with shame to take the lowest place. But

when you are invited, go and sit down in the

lowest place, so that when he who invited you

comes to you, and he says, friend, go up higher,

then you will have the glory in the presence

of those who sit at the table with you. Or whoever

exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles

himself will be exalted. The reason for this

parable is because the Lord was seeing how The

people would walk in, and they were very picky

with where they were sitting. So he saw pride

in them. And he wanted to bring correction to

their life. But more than bring correction to

their life, he wanted to bring a principle to

the kingdom. The Lord allows to bring this parable.

And he says that whenever you're picking a place,

it's better for you to pick the lowest place.

In another translation, it says in the lower

place. And it speaks about a posture when someone

comes even to his house. Of how our posture should

be when we are invited by him. If I would give

today a title that I would tell them, invited

to his supper. You are invited to his supper.

Though that teaching was not a teaching for those

that were invited by ethics. It wasn't an etiquette.

It wasn't something about teaching them where

to sit. It was more of them. learning how to

grow close to the table of the king. How to come

close when the king or the lord is present. Who

invited them to the house was a Jewish governor.

He was a pharisee. He was a religious person

who walked with pride. And he invited his friends.

All his friends were similar like he was. I know

that there's a saying that says, show me who

you gather. Show me who you walk with and I'll

tell you who you are. Something like that. Tell

me who your friends are and I'll tell you who

you are. So the group of people that he had before

him were people that were prideful. There were

people that thought they deserved a position.

Pride allows you to think that something is already

yours. Like you deserve something. Today we live

in a very entitled generation. Not you. Not this

generation. But somewhere over there in Oklahoma.

So we live in a generation where we don't know

how to grow close to the table of the Lord. There's

a people that forgot how to come close to the

table of the Lord. And I believed on behalf of

the Lord that it was good to bring this teaching.

Because the Lord wants to re -teach us how to

come close to Him. So this teaching was not about

etiquette. But how the children of the Lord should

come close to, learn how to come close to His

table. And the way to come close to Him is through

humbleness. Not as if we deserve a position.

Not as if we deserve to gain the table. Or as

we deserve to get something from the kingdom.

In verse 12 we see something in particular. I'm

not going to enter into too much of the pride,

but there's something else that the Lord wants

me to teach you. Cuando hagas comida o cena,

or a supper, do not ask your friends or your

brothers. So, from verse 7 to verse 11, he spoke

to those that came close first. But then... On

verse 12, he speaks to the host. He says when

you give a dinner or supper do not ask your friends

your brothers your relatives nor rich neighbors

Lest they also invite you back and you be repaid

And jesus here begins to reveal the heart of

the father But when you give a feast invite the

poor the main the lame the blind And you will

be blessed because they cannot repay you For

you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the

just. And then in verse 15 he begins and he brings

another parable. Now one of those who sat at

the table with him heard these things. He said

to him blesses he who shall eat bread in the

kingdom of God. Versículo 21. Entonces enojado

and reported these things to his master then

in a spirit of pride, and we could see that because

in verse 11, he says, for whoever exalts himself

be exalted. And then he speaks to the host. And

he says, don't invite your friends. But he says,

go to the poor, the maimed, the lame, and the

blind. And then he speaks of a feast in verse

16. A certain man gave a great supper and invited

many. And this feast, sometimes we interpret

it as the feast that there will be on the wedding

day of the lamb. But it's not for the feast of

the lamb. It's for the feast of the banquet that

the father is inviting his children for today.

This isn't for... This isn't the feast for when

the bridegroom comes to look for his bride. But

this banquet is today. It's here. It's in this

moment. It's the father calling his children

to come. So how do we know it's the father? In

verse 21, he says, so that the servant came and

reported these things to his master. Then the

master of the house, if you read it, that's what

it says. And now there's wisdom in this. Because

he began speaking of the wedding. And then he

linked it to a banquet. And if you read the book

of Esther, in the first chapter, he begins with

a banquet, where the virgins come, and then they

prepare themselves in the palace, and then they

participate in the king's table, speaking prophetically.

of how the Lord is going to prepare his bride.

The bride prepares herself in the banquet with

the banquet. At the feet of the Lord. With Esther,

the king did that banquet. And he called the

candidates to come and get ready. Today, the

Spirit of God wants to prepare the bride. And

he calls a banquet. He calls us to the table.

To prepare the bride. Because surely he will

come to seek his bride quickly. The big difference

between Esther and the bride of Christ is that

in the bride of Christ, Christ already chose.

Esther had to wait to see who the king was going

to choose. But in us, who are the bride, Christ

has already chosen and Christ says, this is who

I want. that I want. Are we here? That's why

I pray that the Lord open up our hearts and open

up our vision. So for Esther, the preparations

were in the same palace. The virgins would eat

out of the table in the palace. They were prepared

with bossums, with oils. With perfumes. They

had royal robes. They were saturated in that

oil and they were perfumed. It speaks of the

preparation of the bride. It speaks about the

anointing of the Spirit of the Lord for the bride.

Today, the bride is prepared. With the presence

of the King With the presence of the Lord With

the washing of the water and the Word of God

If we go to Ephesians chapter 5 just to make

Ephesians 5 · chapter mention

that we're in a time now of preparation The Lord

is preparing his bride. I'm heading with a direction

with this, okay? So it's in the presence of the

Lord. The preparation of the bride is there.

It's the washing of the water by the word of

God. It's to be anointed by the Holy Spirit himself.

It's to be dressed with the robes of justice,

and that's how the bride prepares himself. And

she's established in the love of the King. Nowadays.

You don't come to church. You come to a banquet.

You come to the table of the Lord. You come to

be prepared. Look at the person next to you and

tell them we're being prepared. Tell them we've

been invited and you are the bride. And you have

to prepare yourself. So all of this happens meanwhile

we are redeemed to the Lord. That we are surrendered.

Rendidos. Yielded. The one who is in charge of

preparing the bride is the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians

2 Corinthians 3:16

3 verse 16. It says that when we turn to the

Lord, the veil is falling. And that's where he

begins to prepare the bride. Nevertheless, when

one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Verse 17. Can I have verse 17? Now the Lord is

the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is liberty. The original translation says

because the Lord is the Spirit and where the

Spirit is Lord, there is liberty. It's a surrender

or a yielding to the Lordship of the Spirit.

It's the Spirit of God that takes us. He's going

to prepare us. And then in verse 18 it says,

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as

in a mirror, the glory of the Lord, are being

transformed, from glory to glory, into the same

image of our Lord. And this is the work of the

Spirit. And that's how the scripture says. When

you come here to the church, it's the palace

where Esther would prepare herself. It's a place

that the Lord prepared to prepare yourself. You're

not here just coming to church. The King is here

present. His presence is here present. to prepare

you, to cleanse you, to purify you, to anoint

you, to dress you of righteousness, to establish

you in love, so that you may get to know Him.

But this is only able when one is surrendered

to the spirit. And barely the church is learning

to do this. But there comes a great transformation

and acceleration. Because there's an invitation.

And I think that we're in a season of preparation.

let's go back to Luke 14. And we're gonna read

from verse 15. Verse 15 now when one of those

who sat at the table with him heard these things

He said to him blesses he who shall eat bread

in the kingdom of God and remember this is one

translation it says all things are ready. But

there's another translation that says All things

are ready now. It speaks about time. I believe

that for a long time now, the church, the body

of Christ has been in a posture as if we have

a lot of time. We don't have a lot of time. You

cannot be... You cannot be ready at the instant

that he comes to look, to seek. You can't go

and prepare yourself in the instant that he's

here looking for you. That's why this banquet

is not in the future. It's now. It's the preparation

now. It's coming close to the table now. It's

learning to abide in His presence now. It's being

anointed now. It's renewing your mind to know

that we are the righteousness of God now. It's

learning that we are established by love now.

This isn't for the future. It's the preparation

of the bride now. Many presented excuses. And

look, look here, the servant goes first to a

group. Say with me, this is the first group.

This is the first group. The first group that

he goes to is to his own children. this parable

we've used it as if it's for the world but he

begins first at the house
