  1. Thank you for listening to our How about the

  2. bride walking down the aisle? What happens when

  3. the bride is unveiled? Now the groom has full

  4. access. Into what? Intimacy. We have to remove

  5. the veil. It's okay to celebrate guys It's okay

  6. to get happy about the Word of God It's okay

  7. to celebrate good news of Jesus There we go Thank

  8. you friend Luke chapter 23 I want us to look

    Luke 23 chapter mention

  9. at the moments before Jesus's death on the cross.

  10. Let's just look at the buildup here for a moment.

  11. He's betrayed. He's abandoned. He's arrested.

  12. He's denied. He's blasphemed. He's mocked. He's

  13. beaten beyond the appearance of man. And he's

  14. nailed to a cross. Now look at his last moments.

  15. The word says, it was now about the sixth hour.

  16. And there was darkness over the whole land until

  17. the ninth hour. While the sun's light failed

  18. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two

  19. Somebody say then Jesus Calling out with a loud

  20. voice Said father into your hands. I commit my

  21. spirit And having said this he breathed his last

  22. Jesus suffers through everything And finally

  23. when the veil is torn, it's in that moment, it's

  24. like he's saying on the cross, okay Father, my

  25. work here is done. He was waiting for the veil

  26. to be torn. The last thing that had to happen

  27. for him to accomplish everything. Do you see

  28. how much it matters about us being in the presence

  29. of God? Do you see how much He desires to be

  30. close to us? No longer does He want some high

  31. priest coming in to represent you. Just once

  32. a year, just to pay for your sins, just to atone

  33. for your sins. No, no, no, He wants more. I want

  34. to give it to Him. Hebrews chapter 6 verses 19

    Hebrews 6:19–20

  35. to 20 says this We have this as a sure and steadfast

  36. anchor of the soul a hope that enters into the

  37. inner place behind the curtain Where Jesus has

  38. gone as a forerunner on our behalf? Having become

  39. a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek

  40. The only one, the only priest to enter through

  41. the curtain In perfection was Jesus. Every priest

  42. before him, they had to atone for their own sins

  43. first. What happens when Jesus comes in with

  44. no sins of his own? The perfect one, he tore

  45. the veil. Why? So we can enter by his perfection.

  46. and into his perfection. Y 'all ever wonder why

  47. Jesus was baptized? Was there an old hymn that

  48. he had to let down under the water? No, he said,

  49. I must do this to fulfill all righteousness.

  50. What's the reason for that? Now when we're baptized

  51. we're baptized into his righteousness We get

  52. to leave behind all unrighteousness All the dirty

  53. stuff and we get to come up perfected This is

  54. why the word says in Hebrews 10 This is for by

  55. a single offering He has perfected for all time

  56. those who are being sanctified You have already

  57. been perfected Doesn't say He will perfect you.

  58. We have been perfected, even as we're being sanctified.

  59. That means when we look at ourselves in the mirror,

  60. we see a process of sanctification. When Jesus

  61. looks at us, He sees His perfected work. How

  62. do you want to see you? Give me your eyes Jesus.

  63. I want to see myself as you see me. I want to

  64. see people as you see them. Show us Lord. Open

  65. our eyes. You see how you enter his presence?

  66. Is how you will see his face. And how you see

  67. his face? Is how you know him. I can always tell

  68. how somebody knows the Lord. By the way, they

  69. read his word. You ever get a text message from

  70. somebody? and you can't tell the tone of what

  71. they're saying? Are they mad at me? Is this just

  72. a joke? Are they actually saying it in a sweet

  73. voice? When you don't know the person, you can't

  74. tell. If I don't know the person who wrote this,

  75. I can't tell the tone or the context of his words.

  76. How you enter his presence matters. I don't want

  77. to enter his presence and meet a false Jesus.

  78. How can that happen? If I don't know him, I will

  79. never know. How we enter matters. Let's go to

  80. Hebrews chapter 10, verses 19 to 22. It says,

    Hebrews 10:19–22

  81. therefore, brothers, since we have confidence

  82. to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus,

  83. by the new and living way that he opened for

  84. us through the curtain. Look. that is through

  85. his flesh and Since we have a great priest over

  86. the house of God Let us draw near with a true

  87. heart in full assurance of faith look with our

  88. hearts sprinkled clean From an evil conscience

  89. and our bodies wash with pure water So brothers,

  90. having the freedom to enter the holy place through

  91. the blood of Jesus Christ, through the new way

  92. that he opened us through the veil, this is of

  93. his flesh, and having a great priest over the

  94. house of God, let us approach with a sincere

  95. heart, in full certainty of faith, purifying

  96. the hearts of evil conscience and washing the

  97. bodies with pure water. When I read this scripture

  98. I pick up on one thing We can only enter his

  99. presence on his terms. No longer my terms. No

  100. longer my filter. No longer my veil. No, I only

  101. enter through Jesus. The word says the curtain

  102. is his flesh. Can you imagine this just for a

  103. second? He says from now on you enter the holy

  104. places through my flesh, through my blood. What

  105. does it look like to enter the presence of God

  106. by the blood of Jesus? The way I picture this

  107. is like a waterfall coming down. You ever seen

  108. the movies where there's like a little cave underneath

  109. the waterfall? And you can like walk through

  110. the waterfall into the cave? I pictured it like

  111. this with Jesus. It's like He's inviting us in.

  112. But before I can even get in, I have to go through

  113. His blood. So what do I look like when I get

  114. to Him? I look perfected. I look like Jesus.

  115. I look like the fullness of who I was supposed

  116. to be. Now what happens when I get there? I can

  117. look at myself and see now I've been perfected

  118. How does that help me see him now? It helps me

  119. see him rightly No longer do I come in bound

  120. by the spirit of slavery, that would cause me

  121. to fall back into fear. No, this is why we enter

  122. by confidence. This is why the word says we can

  123. come to the throne with boldness. I can't do

  124. that when I enter through my sin, my friends.

  125. The only way I can do it is when I enter through

  126. the blood. Brings a whole new meaning to John

  127. 14 When Jesus says I am the way the truth and

  128. the life No one comes to the father except through

  129. me. Well, if you want to get into the presence

  130. of my Father, the only way you get in is when

  131. you're perfected. The only way you're perfected

  132. is through me. I want an untainted experience

  133. with the Lord. I don't wanna bring my sin in.

  134. Why bring in debt that he's already paid for?

  135. Sometimes we just have a receipt of our debt.

  136. And we bring it in with us waving it around.

  137. What that thing does is it blocks our view of

  138. a perfected version of him. If I can't see Him

  139. rightly, I will never see myself rightly. And

  140. I will walk this earth all the days of my life.

  141. I struggle with my identity. I think the struggle

  142. of identity has to come to an end in the church.

  143. Is it okay that we're a work in progress? The

  144. more I see you, Jesus, the more I'll look like

  145. you. Enough of this stuff where it's like, I

  146. just don't look like Jesus yet. You're good.

  147. There's a perfected version coming. It's only

  148. unlocked when you see Him rightly. What does

  149. it look like for us to be with Jesus? With our

  150. hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience.

  151. You guys can, let's stand up all across this

  152. room. Close your eyes please. Here's where intimacy

  153. forms my identity. When I look at Jesus, I get

  154. to see how he is looking at me. Ask God to give

  155. you the spirit of wisdom and revelation. In the

  156. knowledge of Jesus So that your eyes may be opened

  157. And your heart be enlightened I want to see you

  158. rightly Jesus Think about it When you come through

  159. Jesus to get to Jesus, we finally get to hear

  160. his thoughts. I finally get to know the right

  161. tone of his voice. I can reject all of my own

  162. thoughts. I can reject everybody else's thoughts

  163. about me. And I can hear what he has to say about

  164. me. Righteous. Holy. perfected, my child, my

  165. beloved, my bride, my delight is in her. Jesus

  166. open up our ears today. Let us hear your voice

  167. now more than ever Lord. Remove the veil fully

  168. Jesus. Let us enter in by your terms. Let us

  169. enter through by your blood. I want to see you

  170. perfectly Jesus. The day
