Welcome to the Legacy Churches Podcast. We are so glad that you get you
-
win us today. We praise that God speaks to you through his message and
-
through his work. Now let's tune into the message. Those who live according
-
to the flesh have their mindset on what the flesh desires. But those who
-
live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
-
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by
-
the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile
-
to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do.
-
So. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
-
You just go ahead and put your name in there. Paul Strong,
-
however, are not in the realm of the flesh, but are in the
-
realm of the Spirit. And in indeed, the Spirit of God lives in
-
you. And if anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ, they
-
do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even
-
though your body is subject to death because of sin, the spirit gives life
-
because of righteousness. And if the spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the
-
dead is living in you now. I don't know if you understand what Paul
-
is giving a clear argument, but he's declaring that the same spirit that lives
-
in Christ now lives in you. He who raised Christ from the dead will
-
also give life to your mortal bodies because of his spirit who lives in Paulstrom,
-
Come on, somebody lives in me. By your heads, Father,
-
have your way, do what you want to do. We submit this moment
-
to your lordship and we give you praise in Jesus name. And everybody said,
-
as you're see to just tell your neighbor backward feels Backwards feels better.
-
Backwards feel better, Backwards feels better. I'm in a whole series called The
-
Battle Within talking about that if you can change, not if you can,
-
but when you change your thoughts, you will change your life, changing your
-
mind as a man thinketh so is he hmm. The problem is we're trying
-
to do behavior modification when God wants to give a transformation of our mind,
-
and so it's hard. Changing our thoughts is a work of the spirit in
-
our lives, and sometimes backwards feels better. I just gotta be honest.
-
When my father in law, he is an avid golfer, just throwing it
-
out there. I like to play golf, haven't played in a while.
-
Just so on a seed. You want to take your pasture to play.
-
I'm always so in seed, Come on now, just but I was when
-
I started playing. No one taught me how to play golf, and many
-
sports we learned from our own. We learn from people, and sometimes you
-
can learn the wrong way of doing things. Somebody can teach you the wrong
-
way. And so I got up there and I hit the ball, and
-
the ball, I mean it just went true. And that means he just
-
looped all the way to the right every time I hit it. And I
-
kept on saying, I don't know why it keeps on going to the right.
-
I'm not even aiming to the right. The more I aimed to the
-
left, the more I went to the right. And it was amazing.
-
And so I when the first time I started playing with my father in law,
-
He's like, I need to fix your swing. I said, but
-
I'm hitting the ball. He said, no, you're hitting the ball,
-
but it's going in the wrong direction. So I got up there and he
-
said, let me see your swing, and so I started swinging and he
-
said oh, that's bad, I said. Oh, he said, okay.
-
So he started changing my stands, he started changing my grip, he
-
started changing every We're up on the box and I feel like like I feel
-
like I feel like the hokey poke you know what I'm saying. Put your
-
left foot. I mean, I'm just going it's all. It's just getting
-
crazy, and I feel I'm feeling awkward. And he said, I want
-
you to swing. I said, I can't swing like this. He said,
-
I promise you just swing like this. And so I took it swing
-
and the first time I swung, I missed the ball, and the tension
-
was that I should just go back to the way I used to be doing
-
it, because backwards feels better. Backwards feels better. And so he said,
-
no, no, no, I want you to try it again.
-
And so we went up there again. Now now this time, I'm getting
-
frustrated because I'm okay shooting ninety five on the front nine. I'm okay,
-
you know, because my goal is not my score, and my goal is
-
that I can keep finding my ball. But if you're going to play golf,
-
and you're going to play it well, you want to get the ball
-
in the hole with as least as many of strokes as you can. And
-
so he kept on all so literally the first two box we hit off.
-
And so the next hole he's like, let me fix your swing. I'm
-
like, oh. And so for like an hour he kept on working on
-
my swing until I hit the ball for the very first time straight. He
-
says, See see how that worked? He said, wow. And in
-
the process I had to have a change of mind because my body had already
-
created muscle memory to react and act in the way that I had been taught.
-
And like this situation, if you don't correct it, your mind will
-
reject it because it's uncomfortable. And here is the tension that we're dealing with.
-
Because here's the thing that I need to tell everybody in this room.
-
If you want to change your life? Does anybody want to change their life?
-
Anybody want to grow in life and enjoy and in peace and in wholeness
-
and in harmony. How many we want to grow in your marriage so you're
-
not fussing and fighting, but you are enjoying intimacy and you're enjoying harmony.
-
How many people want to go into your workplace knowing that it's not what happens
-
around you, but it's what's happening on the inside of you. I mean,
-
I mean all of this. I need you to see that you're the
-
first thing you're going to learn is that graduate. God graduates you from comfort
-
to discomfort. And here is the tension that we all have to do.
-
We all want the product, but we don't want the process. We all
-
we all want the gains, but we don't want no pains. We all
-
want to fit in the dress, but we don't want to go through the
-
process to get into it. Hello, we want God to do a magic
-
wand just fix it for us. But can I tell you today that if
-
you're going to grow, and I believe it is God's intention that you grow,
-
grow in your faith, grow and joy, grow in peace, grow
-
in the goodness of God, grow in the blessings of God, grow in
-
your purpose, grow in God's splend Growth is going to equal pain. Oh
-
man, it's already going off in the wrong direction because we don't like pain.
-
But pain equals change, and you cannot have change without pain. And
-
here is the tension that the apostle Paul is laying. He's trying to tell
-
you that those that are governed by the flesh, are following after what the
-
flesh desires, which is death and destruction in drama and dis function and heartache
-
and pain and misery and isolation and depression and destruction. And God says,
-
I don't want that for your life. I got something better. But sometimes
-
better feels backwards. Better don't always feel good. Better. It doesn't always
-
make you feel like you're in in a snugly and warm and life. Sometimes
-
it feels tough. But I'm telling you today, God wants you to know
-
that if you're gonna be governed by the spirit, you're gonna have to allow
-
his spirit to bring transformation in your life because He wants to have you a
-
full a life full of and me. He wants me to have a life
-
full of life and peace. So you can't keep on going to old doors
-
and expect a new past. I'm just trying to tell you today that you're
-
going to have to learn to go into some new territory and you're gonna have
-
to allow God to bring you through the transformation cycle. There is a cycle
-
of transformation that I want to lead you through today. And this is a
-
two part message. I can't get it all in one are we to be
-
here till two in the afternoon. And I know how some of y'all are,
-
But can I tell you today? God wants to bring you through a
-
transformation. He wants you to be governed by the spirit. Paul is laying
-
this contrast of life in the spirit and life in your flesh, and he
-
wants you to understand that there is a transformation process that God wants to do,
-
and transformation grows. Watch this in cultivation. What are you feeding?
-
Because whatever you're feeding is growing. Hello, whatever you are feeding is growing
-
transformation cycle. Go to the Book of Mark, chapter four. We're gonna
-
get right into it. Mark chapter four, oh Man, verse thirteen.
-
Then Jesus said to them, don't you understand this parable? I like it
-
when I hear pages moving. How then will you understand any parable? The
-
farmer sows the word. Some people are like seed along or like seed along
-
the path where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it,
-
Satan comes and takes it away, the word that was sown in them.
-
Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once
-
receive it with joy. But since they have no what they have no what
-
they have, no what they have, no what they have no root.
-
They last only a short time. And when trouble of persecution comes because of
-
the word, they quickly fall away. It didn't say if trouble, It
-
didn't say if persecution. It said, when trouble comes, you fall over
-
like a So here's the key in here that I need to walk. I'm
-
gonna walk you through this, and we're gonna go through all four parts.
-
But the first thing is you got to break the ground. Come on,
-
in fact, just tell your neighbors, say let him break it in,
-
let him break it in, let him break through, let him break in.
-
See, some people are like seed, the Bible says, along the
-
path where the word is sown, as soon as they hear it, Satan
-
comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. Because if you
-
know anything about farming, I grew up in Indiana, Well, the only
-
thing that you saw was farmland, corn fields. My high school was across
-
from a cornfield. My middle school was across from a corn Come on,
-
you don't got to be a prophit now. My elementary was across from a
-
Come on, somebody, And I was very aware of the cultivation process.
-
Before they ever planted, they would begin the process of disking the property,
-
disking the land because they recognized that they had to turn up the ground.
-
They had to break the ground, because when the soil is not broken,
-
that it will just lay on top and the seed won't have a place to
-
penetrate. The soil is the seat of thought, will and emotions today,
-
and the moment that the seed is scattered, the enemy comes to steal the
-
seed. He comes to steal the seed. And you say, well,
-
how is that possible? Because because that any if any seed that has to
-
have a lodging place. And the problem is is that you have a the
-
ground is hard. It doesn't have a lodging place. And you say,
-
well, pastor, what are you trying to say? Am I hard headed?
-
No? Your ears are closed. I didn't say you're hard headed.
-
I said your ears are closed. I'm trying to tell you listen that your
-
ears are closed. You are not listening. You are not You are hearing,
-
but you are not listening. You are hearing, but you are not
-
listening. Can I tell you today just like my my wife, she's now
-
the third grade teacher at Wood Creek Elementary. Big shout out to my wife
-
because she was she's been teaching, and she told them she got frustrated with
-
them because you know, little third graders, you know, sometimes they got
-
ants in their pants. Sometimes they're not paying attention, and they call it
-
back and now they call it a redirection. You know, they call it
-
redirecting. We have to redirect the child. And so and so my wife
-
was telling them, she said, listen, kids, do you know how
-
do you make good grades? And the kids are kind of like raised a
-
Handah, you got to be smart. She said, no, you don't
-
got to be smart. All of you are smart, but you don't have
-
to be smart. And they started giving out and she goes, no,
-
She said, no, all you have to do is a listen. I'm
-
giving you the answers to every test question, to every assessment. But if
-
you are not listening, you won't make good grades. She started telling that,
-
and their light bulb went up, Oh, my lord, are you
-
telling me, Miss Strong that you're giving us the answers to the test that
-
She said, yes, and how do we make good grades? And they
-
started saying, we have to listen. So every day that she goes into
-
class. She says, kids, how do we make good grades? They
-
said, we have to listen? And can I tell you today? How
-
are you going to pass the test? How you gonna get through the valley,
-
How you're gonna get through the trial? How you're gonna get through the
-
subject matter that God's about to prepare you for. He's already given you the
-
answers. But are you listening? The answers are already being given, but
-
you are not paying attention. Are you listening? Are you listening? You
-
see, here's the problem. The enemy is so good at getting us distracted,
-
and he rushes us through everything because he doesn't want us to hear the
-
word of God, because he knows the moment that we hear the word of
-
God, the word of God will shape and change our life. That's why
-
you're distracted right now. That's why you're thinking about what you gotta cook after
-
service. That's why you're thinking about what so and so said to you last
-
night. You're talking about what the post was on Facebook and what somebody put
-
a picture on Graham. But can I tell you it's all distractions? Yet
-
you're getting five minutes of devotion and twenty four hours of distraction, and the
-
devil has got you sideways on this way and sideways on that way because you
-
are not listening. Come on, somebody, God wants you to listen.
-
That's why right now the enemy is getting you all worked up because you feel
-
rushed. That's why you're laid at church. Because the devil knows if you
-
ever show up on time, if you ever get here early and get your
-
heart in the place, that that word will fall not on deaf ears,
-
not on a hard place, but it'll fall on a place where it'll be
-
large. And he'll not just hear it to, but you'll receive it to
-
and it will change your One word from God can change your live. Baby,
-
where's my health? I'm telling you just tell your neighbors. Say.
-
It'll change your life. I said, it'll change your life. It'll change
-
your marriage, it'll change your workplaces, it'll change your at it, it'll
-
change your drive time. You won't be frustrated, you won't be mad at
-
traffic. You'll say, go ahead and stop the shoy. The Lord is
-
my strength to God's got me here and before me, beside me and around
-
me. In fact, you'll look forward to being in traffic because the longer
-
you're in traffic, the more you're getting the word of God, the more
-
you're getting renewed day by day. But here's the problem. You're not listening.
-
I'm trying to tell you. See, it's surface level. We all
-
got surface level type of hearing. You know what I'm saying, selective hearing.
-
Hello, Like when my wife tells me something to do and I'm already
-
preoccupied. It's not that I did not hear. It's just that I have
-
selective hearing. I'm more paying attention to the golf game, or the Astros
-
or the Texans. God bless the Texans. They gonna need a lot of
-
prayer this year, a lot of prayer. Y'all better start twenty one days
-
of prayer. That's not my team. Thank you Lord for the coats in
-
Jesus name. Ah. I'm just trying to tell you he's got selected And
-
so here's the question. Are you glancing or are you gazing? Here's the
-
thing, go to James. Can I just break this down for you because
-
I got one of them teaching an audiens today. He's going to you.
-
Don't worry about that, Shames. Chapter one. I love this crowd do
-
not merely verse twenty two. Just go up there and look on the screen.
-
Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourself. Are you
-
seeing this? He says, I want you to not. How in the
-
world can you listen to the word and deceive yourself because you don't do what
-
it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it
-
says as like someone who looks at his face in a mirror, and after
-
looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. He
-
just glancing. That's what you're doing with the Bible. You just glance in
-
at him. She's glam What do you say, baby, okay, hold
-
on, let me get read my Bible. What do you say? Glancing?
-
See? But whoever looks intently, that means that you got intention to
-
your understanding into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it. Not
-
forgetting what they heard, but doing it. They will be blessed in what
-
they do. And here is the key. When we are reading our Bible,
-
it's not can I read my Bible? But can my Bible read me?
-
See? You're just glancing at it into But if you start gazing into
-
it. All of a sudden, it starts looking into you. You're not
-
looking into it. It starts looking into you, and it starts working inside
-
of your heart, intently cultivating the word of God. And the Word of
-
God starts working, and you start seeing that it's not my brother, it's
-
not my sister, it's not my auntie, it's not my uncle, it's
-
not my neighbor. In the need of prayer, it's me. Oh God,
-
God, break the hard places, break the hard places, break the
-
areas in my life where I see there's no life in them. God break
-
it up, and lets your word be lodged into my heart. Oh God,
-
I gaze into the Word of God. I'm doing it with intention,
-
and it breaks in. Somebody shall break in. But it's not just breaking
-
in. It's gotta break up. I'm telling you. Breaking in is just
-
the first part. It didn't just gotta break in. It's gotta break up.
-
Because before they they sow the seed, the first thing they do is
-
they dissed the blend and get the ground. But then the second thing is
-
they gotta plow the ground. And this is what I want you to understand.
-
You gotta plow in truth. You gotta plow the truth. You gotta
-
plow that. That's why the Bible says others like seeing so on on rocky
-
places, hear the word and once they receive it with joy. Since they
-
have no root, it only lasts a short time. When trouble are person
-
execution comes, they quickly fall away. Why not because the sea doesn't have
-
the power, but because it hasn't taken up root. It hasn't taken up
-
And here is the issues that we're dealing with in our lives, because what
-
we want to do is we want to deal with branches and not with roots.
-
Hello. Now, I don't know if you know anything about agriculture,
-
but if you just look outside at the many plethora of trees that are on
-
our property, we got a lot of branches just to so on a seed
-
there, and we got to cut some of them. But this is the
-
problem. Every time we cut a branch, another branch starts growing. And
-
here is the problem, because we'll say I'm gonna quit doing this, But
-
we stop doing this and we pick up something else. Hello, and we're
-
not We're dealing with symptoms and not sources. If we keep treating the symptoms,
-
we'll never deal with the source. The problem is not that I've got
-
an anger issue and i gotta just keep myself in control and I've got to
-
count myself ten to ten seconds before I lash out. But the real issue
-
is I've got a control problem, and the problem is with my control is
-
that I have to have it my way, and I am compulsively controlling situations
-
because the truth of the matter, my control comes from my pride and I
-
can't trust God with the situation. That's why I put my hands in every
-
situation. And that's why I'm angry about this, and that's why I'm angry
-
about that, is because I'm lacking control and I'm frustrated with my own life,
-
so I'm protecting myself and anger in everybody else's situation. I want to
-
say it's anger, but at the end of the day, it's dealing with
-
my own control. And when I start recognizing that there is strength and surrender
-
that God wants me to know today that I can trust Him with all my
-
heart and lean not to my own understanding, I don't got to have my
-
way in those situations. I can let God have his way and I can
-
just trust that He is able to take care of it, and I've learned
-
to keep my hands off of it so God can put his hands on it.
-
I'm dealing with a source that's I don't have a money problem, because
-
I've been making more money this year than i have in the last five.
-
But my problem is is that I don't believe that God is enough. It's
-
not that money is not enough, it is God's not enough. That's why
-
I have to overcompensate and overcompensate and over cons and that's why I'm buying this,
-
and that's why I'm buying that, because I'm trying to find fulfillment.
-
And God has said, don't you know I'm Jehovah Jirah. Don't you know
-
I'm el Shadai. Don't you know I'm the one that can satisfy your soul.
-
Don't you know I'm your portion. Don't you know I'm your strength.
-
Don't you know I'm your helper, I'm your easier than any situation. And
-
you keep on looking to other things that when you need to discovery that I'm
-
the one. I'm trying to tell you today. God wants supply the truth.
-
He wants supply the truth and in my brokenness, it's not that I
-
keep on finding the wrong one. It's that I'm attracting the wrong one because
-
there's some things on the inside of me. You have to break it.
-
You got not. You don't have to break in. It has to break
-
up. It has to break up the old mindset. And I gotta recognize
-
that if I want to go into a deeper level, I've got to break
-
up shallow living. I gotta plow that. Watch this, watch this,
-
watches I want you write this down. And don't you worry. You stay
-
right there, Marvin, because I'm coming for you. Plowing is purposeful because
-
what happens is when the plow goes down, some things have got to come
-
up. See if it gets down deep enough. See that's the reason why
-
the plow because on a surface level, even though you can break ground,
-
it can get in, but it hadn't been brought up. And so God
-
what he does is he gets a plow. And if you look at the
-
tractor's plow, they're like they sometimes they are twelve inches eighteen inches. They
-
get deep into the ground and what it does is it starts breaking it down
-
so it can bring the hard places. The rocky place is up. Are
-
you getting this? And so when the Word of God goes down, there's
-
something that has to come up. That's why the Bible says in Hebrews chapter
-
four, verse twelve, the Word of God is alive and active, sharper
-
than any two edges sword, and it penetrates. It cuts even to dividing
-
of soul and spirit joints tomorrow. It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the
-
heart. What happens is when you get the word of when you begin to
-
plow the truth, it starts bringing conviction, and God begins to convict you
-
so that you can bring confession. There's some things on the inside that are
-
not pleasing to God. There's some areas in our life that are causing us
-
disruption, that are causing us distraction, that are causing us to go into
-
destruction. And God said, I love you too much for you to go
-
that way, and I got to break it up so I can bring it
-
out. I gotta pull it out of your life because the Word of God
-
has got to be sown into good ground, and conviction becomes our confession.
-
God convicts us so that we can have confession. So what happens is the
-
word of God begins to reveal to us the areas of our life that are
-
not pleasing to Him, so that we can confess them. They got to
-
come up. They got to come up because God is breaking some things down.
-
He's breaking down those old mindsets. That is somebody else's issue, and
-
then somebody else's problem. And now God is saying, it's me, it's
-
me, and the need of prayer. It's me God. But here's the
-
thing that is what I love. The plowing when you let God's word plow
-
in your heart. Plowing is not just purposeful, it's partnership. You'll watching
-
this. I'm helping you. I'm helping myself. I'm helping myself blow.
-
See you're plowing. If you plow, you always plow in teams. See,
-
the oxen were always paired together. So when they put the plow to
-
think it would go down because straight rows, sow seed. Come on,
-
Just tell your neighbors says straight rose, sow seed. Go ahead and tell
-
your other neighbors say, straight row, sow seed, straight rows, that
-
they have to plow straight rows to sew. Come on, now, straight
-
rows, see straight rows. So see but here's the thing. When you
-
put oxen together, they got to be equally yoked. Because what happens is
-
if you get a yoke on two oxen and one is strong and the other
-
is weak, they the weak oxen doesn't have the strength of the strong oxen.
-
So what happens is, instead of sewing straight rows, they start moving
-
in circles. We call them circles. God calls them cycles because only straight
-
rows sow seed. And you can't be yoked up. You can't be powing
-
for abundance yoked up to scarcity. You can't be yoked up. You can't
-
be sowing freedom yoked up to slavery. Y'all not helping me today. You
-
can't be yoked up. You can't be sowing sonship yoked up to slavery.
-
Come on now, you can't be sowing for joy yoked up to depression.
-
Come on, and you gotta start checking. You gotta be checking who you're
-
yoked with, because there's something powerful and powing in partnership. There's something about
-
community. And look at your friends. If you find your friends, you'll
-
find your future because it's who you're hanging around that's going to be the cultivation
-
of your soil. And you wonder why your life is jacked up. But
-
you're hanging around people that are jacked up. Come on, somebody, you're
-
hanging around people that are depressed. You're hanging around negative nancy. You wonder
-
why you can't walk in faith every time you take a step the faith of
-
Neggai, and nancies are that, Well, God can't do that, and
-
God can do this, And why are you praying for this? And why
-
ain't you praying for that? And you wonder why you not got any joy,
-
ain't got no peace because you're yoked up to the wrong people. But
-
to take you gotta take the yoko and find some people that'll be yoked to
-
joy and yoke to peace, and yoke to right, and yoke to the
-
goodness of God, and yoke to the plan of God over your life.
-
Can I get a witness in this place? I gotta change my yoka.
-
I gotta change my I'm not even yoked up to my past. I'm really
-
yoked up to my promise. Somebody shall partnership. There's something powerful about partnership.
-
There's something powerful about partnership when I understand that it's developed in community.
-
It's not just my confession, it's my community that's cultivating. It's gonna to
-
challenge me to move me in the direction that God has for me. But
-
who are you yoked up to? And what are you yoked up to?
-
He see, here's here's here's the thing. And I close with this.
-
I'm telling you, I got to preach, your friend. And he was
-
telling the story about now that day, he had to fly from Dallas to
-
Denver because he was preaching that night. And he went to Dallas and if
-
you want to stay in Dallas, just fly American. And he pulled up
-
to Dallas with his backs. For some reason or another, he was gonna
-
check his backs. And when he pulled up to the baggage counter, he
-
saw a line a mile long, people just packed. Now, if you've
-
been travelingly, you recognize that you've got to get to the airport now earlier
-
because you just don't know what's going to happen. And he got there an
-
hour and a half before the flight. But when he got in the line,
-
he knew that you have to have your backs checked in forty five minutes
-
or the bag don't fly. Bottom line line is long, and he gets
-
in line, and there's a brother up next to him. Got golf backs,
-
now, you know, and I know golf backs aren't going in unless
-
they're checked. He says, Man, I don't know if we're gonna make
-
it. He said, don't worry. I'm platinum. We gonna get there.
-
He said, all right, then get into the line and looking at
-
the clock. Who who hour? We're close? Got fifteen minutes, keep
-
on going. Now we have fifty minutes. Ten more people in front of
-
us. Oh, Lord, Oh Jesus help us. Lord, Lord,
-
you know where I'm going. God, open up the gates, Lord,
-
open up. Get some people. Think forty five minutes, three people have
-
forty minutes. Gets up to the counter, says, I got my back
-
to check where you're going Denver? Oh, you're late, all late.
-
You not see this line? Yeah? I saw the line. That's why
-
you get here early. But I gotta get these bags because I'm going to
-
Denver. She said, Baby, you may be going to Denver, but
-
these bags ain't going nowhere. He got mad. He looked over at his
-
friend. Hey, he said, can't help you. He don't know what
-
to do. He's he can check his bags and he's got a flight,
-
and he's got to get through to TSA. So he does the only thing
-
logical. He goes, grabs his back, goes into the bathroom, rolls
-
up into the bathroom, looks around, prays for an open stall, looks
-
for an open stall, goes into the stall and leaves his bag right there
-
next to the toilet, Goes out of the stall, closes it, walks
-
right out the bathroom, walks all the way through TSA, and gets on
-
the plane and lands in Denver. Someone said, what have into the bags?
-
The back stayed in Dallas because there was nothing in that bag that was
-
that valuable that was gonna keep him from his assignment of where he's going.
-
So you focusing on the back, but you're not focusing on the assignment,
-
because that's why you're stuck. That's why you're stuck in cycles, because you
-
keep on going in circles because you're more concerned about what you're holding onto than
-
what God's calling you towards. And that's the problem. If you never recognize
-
the assignment to the plan of God, the purpose of God, the purpose
-
of God over your life, you let go of that small little bag.
-
That bag can be replaced that situation can be replaced. Can I tell you
-
God's got something better for you. You gotta let go of what you have
-
to grab hold of what God has for your life. Baby, God's got
-
an assignment over your life. Baby, staying with me this morning. Just
-
tell your neighbors say God, He's got so much more for your life.
-
You gotta learn to let go and grab hold of what God has for your
-
life, for your family, for your marriage, for the assignment over your
-
life. Stop crying about the past. You can't change yesterday. You can't
-
change the decisions that you made last week. But today I'm decided, I'm
-
gonna change my mind. I'm gonna change the way that I see myself.
-
I'm gonna change the way that I see my future. I'm gonna change the
-
way that I see everything that's around me. Because God, I said,
-
God, I said, the Lord has good things, great things, and
-
sure for my life. In Jesus' name. Now put your hands together and
-
give God a praise. Come on, if you believe it, Come on,
-
tell your neighbors say, let it go, let it go, let
-
it go, let it go, let it go, let it go.
-
We've been to me endure for a night. But I got some word to
-
tell you. Joy is coming in the morning. I said, Joey is
-
coming in the morning. Peace is coming to your house. Hope is coming
-
to your house. Healing is coming to your house. Oh my Jesus,
-
somebody shall glory glory to God. I'm telling you you gotta let it go.
-
You gotta let it go. I know they've been your friends for ten
-
years, but they've been holding you back. Baby. I'm not telling you
-
gotta tell them they're bad for you. You just got to learn how to
-
put some distance between you and them. I'm not telling you gotta change your
-
phone number. I just got to you gotta change the way you see your
-
situation. You ain't gotta get petty. You just gotta recognize I'm I've got.
-
And here's the thing. You don't even have to tell people that you're
-
moving on the fact that you're moving on is gonna let them know where they
-
need to exit. Hello, because they may not want to go where you're
-
going. You gotta you gotta recognize straight rows. So see, our problem
-
is not necessarily the seed. Our problem is what we've been yoked to.
-
Hello, and the seed doesn't have a place the soul. It don't have
-
a root to grow. God help us today to change our mind. Change
-
our mind. Boy, your hands with me. Father. All across this
-
room people that are yoked up, the things that are holding them back.
-
But in the name of Jesus today I speak over their lives. I pray
-
you break the yield. Today, Jesus, break every strongholder, break every
-
chain over their lives. Jesus today, with every hip bot every I close,
-
no one looking around. You say, Pastor today, I don't have
-
relationship with Jesus Christ. Today is your day. He loves you. Don't
-
she believe the lie the enemy. Don't she believe the lie that nothing's going
-
to change. Something's going to change today. In Jesus name, your life
-
is going to be being be made whole. In Jesus name, he said,
-
that's me, Pastor, I want to surrender my life to Jesus.
-
Just raise your hand right now, Come on, come on, come on,
-
come on, all across this room. Thank you, Come on all
-
across this room Jesus in Jesus name, In Jesus name, Jesus name,
-
he said, Pastor, today he can put those things there. You say,
-
Pastor, to day there's some areas in my life that that are that
-
are hindering me, holding me back from all that God has for me.
-
I know it. While you were preaching, there were some things that God
-
was bringing up. He was cutting down to bring it up. And today
-
I want to make it right. I want to confess it to Christ.
-
I want to I want to turn it over to the Lord. I want
-
to surrender that area. I want freedom today. I don't want to glance
-
at the word of God. I want God's word to change my life today.
-
Come on, if that's you, just raise your hand. Come on,
-
all across this room, come on, come on, come on,
-
come on. In Jesus' name, In Jesus name, there's areas there's unforgiveness
-
that you've been yoked up to. I'm speaking over somebody. You've been mad
-
at that one person. That person is holding you. It's holding you hostage.
-
You're yoked up to it today in the name of you, let it
-
go, Let it go, let it go, let it go, let
-
it go, let it go. The enemy's got it on replay. Every
-
time you want to take a step forward, you take three steps back because
-
he reminds you of what they did in the name of Jesus. Let it
-
go in Jesus' name. He yoked up, You're yoked up in Jesus name,
-
in Jesus name, in Jesus name. I want you to pray this
-
prayer with me for those that raise their hand for salvation, say Jesus today,
-
I believe. Come on, say it with me. I believe you
-
have the power to change my life. I ask you right now to come
-
into my life to forgive me of my sins. I believe today, through
-
your precious blood you can wash me and make me whole. Today I confess
-
you as my savior, and I make you my lord. From this day
-
forward, I choose to follow you. I thank you today that I am
-
your child in Jesus' name. And all God's people said, come on,
-
can you give a lord a praise in the house today? Come on?
-
Come on? Can you give them some praise in this place? On
