  1. Welcome to the Legacy Churches Podcast. We are so glad that you get you

  2. in us today. We pray that God speaks to you through his message and

  3. through his work. Now let's tune into the message. Saul and the Israelites

  4. assembled in camp in the Valley of Ela and drew up their battle lines to

  5. meet the Philistines. They're getting ready to have a fight. And the Philistines

  6. occupied one hill and the Israelites another, with a valley between them. Now,

  7. what's interesting if you actually go to the Valley of Ela, you actually

  8. can stand on the top of the hill and someone can be three hundred to

  9. four hundred meters away down in the valley, and they can yell at you,

  10. and you can hear them crystal clear. So you can imagine when Goliath

  11. was there and he was talking, and he says, a champion named Goliath,

  12. who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. His height

  13. was six cubits and a span. He had a bronze helmet. He wore

  14. a code of skill of armor of bronze weighing five thousand shecks on his legs.

  15. He wore. The brother was broke, he was busted out and bronze.

  16. You see this. His spear shaft was like a weaver's rod, and

  17. his iron point weight six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him.

  18. He was all in battle ready, and he stood and shouted to the

  19. ranks of Israel, why do you come out and line up for battle?

  20. Just ask your neighbor, why do you come out and line up for battle?

  21. Okay, this is a participator participatory moment. Come on, tell you

  22. other say why do you come out and line up for battle? And then

  23. he says, am I not a Philistine? Are you not an Israelite?

  24. Are you not part of the House of Saul? Are you not the servants

  25. of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. If

  26. he's able to fight and kill me, we will become your subject. But

  27. if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects in service.

  28. Then the Philissine said, this day I defy the armies of Israel.

  29. Give me a man and let us fight each other. On hearing the Philistines'

  30. words, sault and all these rites were dismayed and terrified. So you see

  31. the story. Under David was the son of Ether named Jesse, who was

  32. from Bethlehem, and Judash. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul's time

  33. he was very old. Jesse's three oldest sons had followed Salt of the war.

  34. The first boe was Iliad, the second of Benidad, the thirdest Shama,

  35. and David was the youngest. Three oldest followed Salt. But David went

  36. back and forth from Salt to tend his father's sheep at Bethlehem. And for

  37. forty days, everybody say forty days, how many days? Thank you?

  38. For forty days? Forty days the Philistines came forward. The Philistine came forward

  39. every morning and evening and took his stin. Now, Jesse said to his

  40. son, David, take this ephi of roasted grain and these ten loaves of

  41. bread for your brother and hurry to their camp. Take along these ten cheeses

  42. to the commander of their unit. See how your brothers are, and bring

  43. back some of assurance, some assurance from them. And they they are with

  44. Salt and all the men of Israel in the valley. You left fighting against

  45. the Philistines early in the morning. Look what the Bible says. Early in

  46. the morning, David left the flock and the care of a shepherd loaded up

  47. and set out as Jesse had directed. And when he reached the camp,

  48. as the army was going out in its battle's position, shouting the war cry

  49. ISRAELI Israel, and Thefhilians were drawing up their lines facing each other. I

  50. want you just to buy your heads with me. Lord have your way.

  51. God give me clarity of thought, hees of expression. I pray, Holy

  52. Spirit, God for this listening audience, God, those that are watching online,

  53. those that will be watching on demand, Holy Spirit, that you would

  54. speak. God will raim a word into this house and through this house.

  55. God for every individual and God, I give you the praise for what you're

  56. going to do in the strong name of Jesus. And everybody said Amen.

  57. Tell your neighbors say no delay, no delay. I hate delays. I

  58. hate delays. I hate being delayed. I hate being in traffic and delays.

  59. I hate being in a grocery store line in delays. I hate delays.

  60. Anybody like delays. If I want to go somewhere, I want to

  61. get there. I'm always nervous when I'm traveling because I tend to travel in

  62. such a way that there's not enough margin in between where I want to go

  63. and what I want to do, which means that if we don't get there,

  64. we may miss something. And I hate missing stuff. I hate it.

  65. I hate missing things. And I want to get there and have a

  66. good time. Anybody know what I'm talking about. I want to have anybody

  67. like to have a good time? Like, how many have you ever say

  68. this? Said this? Kids? Have you ever said this? Teenagers?

  69. Have you ever said this to your your parents? Are we there yet?

  70. Come on? Just tell your neighbors. Are we there yet? I want

  71. to get there? You hear me? Front row? Are we there yet?

  72. Aren't we there yet? We're there? And I never forget when I

  73. first when when I got married July thirteenth, two thousand and two, twenty

  74. two years ago. Who amen, yeah, give it up, Give it

  75. up for my wife, Amed, She's put up with me for twenty two

  76. years. We were at the altar and I said I do, and I

  77. said, let's go, baby. Was we were getting ready to go on

  78. our honeymoon. Amen. And when we were going on our honeymoon, we

  79. were going on a cruise. It's our first cruise. We were gonna go

  80. on a Princess Cruise line. Nothing better than take your princess to a princess

  81. cruise line. Wo And so we were going there, and we were leaving

  82. that morning from Memphis all the way down to Fort Lauderdale. And the flight

  83. that was gonna get in it was gonna get it at three o'clock and we

  84. had to be on the boat at four. Y'all, hear what I just

  85. said, Three o'clock, Nick, And we had to get at the boat

  86. by four. Not much window. They're gonna pick us up. They had

  87. a big shuttle butte that was gonna be there at the airport. We just

  88. had to load up and roll out. We were so excited our honeymoon,

  89. couldn't wait to be on the adventure together. And we got to Atlanta.

  90. And how many know when you go to hot Atlanta, there's one's gonna be

  91. problems because we got on we got to Atlanta, because everything goes to Atlanta.

  92. Heaven's gonna go through Atlanta. I promise you, when we get rapture,

  93. the church gets raptured, We're going right through Atlanta. Amen. So

  94. we were in Atlanta, we got we got from the connecting flight, we

  95. got onto the connecting flight uh TOIL from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale. We got

  96. on a larger plane. We got on that plane and we were on the

  97. tarmac and the plane died. Have you ever been on a plane and it's

  98. deathly quiet? Like what is going on? There's no air? And it

  99. was like one of those things that was so scary. I thought, is

  100. there gonna be a truck that pulls up and jumps us? Like? How

  101. does this work? And he's like, I mean the whole sound was just

  102. scary. I'm like, I don't know if we should be on this plane.

  103. And the captain got on and said, I'm sorry, we're having some

  104. technical difficulties. We're all like, yes, yes, please Lord. Now

  105. remember we got one hour between when we land and when we get on the

  106. boat, and so every minute is counting. I'm like, baby, it's

  107. been fifteen minutes. We haven't the planes getting hot, people are fanning.

  108. You know, Stuart, have you ever seen flight attendants talking about stuff that

  109. you want to know what they talking about? You know what I'm saying,

  110. like I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'm just gonna listen in. And

  111. so they finally got like twenty minutes later, they got the plane running.

  112. Hope, we're back on. We got back on, We got back onto

  113. taxi, and we got and we landed in Fort Lauderdale. We had like

  114. thirty five minutes to go. We've already been delayed twenty minutes. We only

  115. have thirty five forty minutes to get on this bus and get to the to

  116. the terminal for the cruise ship. And we go down to the carousel to

  117. pick up our luggage. And have you ever gone down to the luggage place

  118. and you couldn't find your luggage. There's nothing worse. I would rather not

  119. get on the plane than to get on the plane without my luggage. Oh,

  120. you're not gonna talk to me today, I said. I packed.

  121. I packed. We packed for a whole week's adventure on this cruise. And

  122. my wife is looking and she can't find her bags. In fact, she

  123. will, it's just one bag. She can't find one bag. And I'm

  124. like trying to console a baby. It's gonna be okay, it's gonna be

  125. great, and it's gonna be wonderful. And you know, if we need

  126. to buy up the bathing suit, if the bathing suit's in there, it's

  127. no problem, you know, no, you know, we'll get it.

  128. We'll get it when we get on the boat. She said, no,

  129. there's everything in that bag, everything everything. I said everything, What is

  130. everything? She said, everything, including the birth control. I said,

  131. oh lord, oh lord, we need that bag. Oh we need that.

  132. My wife told me, make sure you're specific when you're telling them what

  133. we were missing. Don't let them conjecture. No, no, no,

  134. we were missing some stuff. I said, Oh God, we need that

  135. bag. I changed my heart changed completely. With no delay, y'all get

  136. that Tomorrow's lit. Pg. Thirteen Today a man God, they told us.

  137. I said, it's on the next plane, and by the time,

  138. if it doesn't get to the terminal in the next thirty minutes, then you'll

  139. get it three days later. Oh, the devil is a liar. The

  140. devil is a liar, I said, no delay. One of the greatest

  141. things I ever saw on that cruise ship was when we were getting ready to

  142. debark disembarked from the boat, I mean from the terminal, and I looked

  143. and we went back to our room, and there that the luggage piece that

  144. was missing had been found. Oh, oh good, amen, no delay.

  145. And I have to ask these I tell this story because we understand how

  146. delay happens to us. But what happens when we are the delay? What

  147. happens when we are the delay? What happens when there are people that expecting

  148. something that we actually are going to deliver, but because we're not in our

  149. proper position, or in our heart, or our obedience, or because our

  150. attitude, that they are missing something that we are supposed to give them.

  151. And in this process today, I want you to see this text, because

  152. this text is very interesting, and the reason why I didn't get into the

  153. very depths of the battle is because I want you to see the presupposition in

  154. this text is that they were actually shouting a war cry and never fighting who

  155. When I read that, I said, they're shouting a battle cry that they're

  156. not going to fight in And it really really spoke to me about how in

  157. our world today, and especially in the Believers, there's so many people that

  158. are shouting but not seizing. They're getting dressed but going nowhere. They're making

  159. a lot of noise but not making any movement. You're not gonna talk to

  160. me, I understand. I understand. It's a little dangerous right now.

  161. M HM. Toes are getting broken because the devil is not afraid of your

  162. shout. If you don't have any steps, See what makes your shout dangerous

  163. as he knows your steps are coming after it. HM, And it's important

  164. today that you recognize that the rule of your adversary is this. He doesn't

  165. have to kill you. He just has to keep you. This is the

  166. summer that he just wants to keep you. Keep you in commonplace, keep

  167. you in regret, keep you in your feelings, keep you in a fense,

  168. keep you in fear, keep you in doubt, keep you in disobedience,

  169. keep you in condemnation, keep you in that relationship, keep you stuck,

  170. keep you satisfied, keep you you become a prison of your past.

  171. I just gotta keep you. I don't gotta kill you. Why do I

  172. need to kill you when you're gonna kill yourself? Preaching better? How you're

  173. stuck? And one of the dynamics of our lives is that God is challenging

  174. us. This is the year of pursuit. And if we're going to be

  175. a people that pursue God with all of our heart, we can no longer

  176. delay. The word for today is no delay. Just tell three or four

  177. people say no delay, no delay, no delay, no delay. There's

  178. no time to waste, there's no time to put to sit around pointing out

  179. what's not working. Today is the day that there's no delay. And if

  180. we're gonna not delay, then we got to recognize what delay does. The

  181. dynamic of delay is delayed obedience is disobedience. Delayed obedience is still disobedience.

  182. And the call of the believers today is calling us to step into obedience.

  183. And I begin to ask the question, why are we delaying in this area

  184. of disobedience? There are areas in our lives that are still not in congruency

  185. with God's word. There's areas in our lives. And if you're new in

  186. the faith, this whole obedience is this whole new reality within the world.

  187. If you're new in your faith, this is a whole new world where you're

  188. getting to learn. And if you've walked in your faith for just a little

  189. bit, you're learning that there are areas that God is challenging you and convicting

  190. you because He wants to grow you. And so here's the thing that I

  191. learned. Number one and why we delay is old doors don't lead to new

  192. paths. What I mean by that is that in the dynamic is is that

  193. a lot of us are trying to do the new thing in the old way.

  194. We're trying to do it in our strength. We're trying to do it

  195. in our flesh. We're trying to do it in our abilities. We're trying

  196. to do it. We have not recognized that God has a new operational manual

  197. called righteousness, that he wants to reign in our lives. That we got

  198. to rain from righteousness, not for righteousness, but from righteousness. That God

  199. begins to give us a whole new mode of operation, because when we were

  200. birth, we had our old operation. And our old operation is selfish,

  201. waiting for all the amens to die down, because no one had to teach

  202. you to be selfish, and you don't have to work to be selfish.

  203. I'm having a hard time today to be selfish. Who I mean, I'm

  204. so unselfish. I give all the time to everybody. I'm always doing something

  205. that I just have a hard time being selfish. No, howman, No,

  206. it's easy to be selfish, it's hard to be unselfish. The first

  207. thing you do when you get you want you know how hard I work.

  208. Don't you know how hard you are looking for a place of comfort. And

  209. here is the dynamic. We all want transformation, but we don't want discomfort

  210. in the process of transformation. And here's the dynamic that we need to recognize

  211. that God is trying to change us, but he's trying to change us in

  212. a new way. And we keep on going to the old and the old

  213. doors don't lead the new past. And that's why we keep on getting stuck.

  214. That's why we keep on getting frustrated, because we're trying to do it

  215. in our strengths. We're trying to do it in our ability, we're trying

  216. to do it in our understanding. We're trying to figure it out on our

  217. own ways. And we have to learn that the first place that we have

  218. to come to is a place called crucifixion, where we die so that He

  219. can live. I have to die to myself so that His or righteousness can

  220. reign in and through my life. And that's easier said, then come on

  221. now, because the truth of the matter is is that there's patterns in our

  222. lives. There's patterns in your lives. The addiction is a pattern you want

  223. to break it, but you can't. That's why I try to tell people

  224. all the time that listen that it's the pattern of your life. If you

  225. will change the pattern, God, you will change the product pattern, but

  226. the pattern of our lives. When God gives us a new pattern, it

  227. feels uncomfortable. Anybody play sports, anybody play sports. Come on, just

  228. wave at me. Anybody want to play sports, just wave at me.

  229. Because anytime that you're learning, if it's basketball, if it's baseball, if

  230. it's football, there are habits that you have created that are actually hindering your

  231. progress. And part of the coach is the coach comes up and he starts

  232. telling you I love playing golf. I want to play golf, but right

  233. now the budget's tight. Praise the Lord, but I can go to top

  234. golf. And if you want to take your pastor to top golf, the

  235. Lord will bless you. Amen. Just throwing it out there, word of

  236. knowledge, I'm telling you there's so the dynamic of the of and so when

  237. you're playing golf, there's a swing pattern. And so when I first started

  238. to play golf, I played with my grandfather's clubs, and those are back

  239. in the day when the woods were wood. And so when I started playing,

  240. I had a slice. I could slice the ball. It could start

  241. here, it would give me aim in that direction. By the time it

  242. got done, it'd be all the way over there. And when my father

  243. in law met me, when he started working with me, he started trying

  244. to change my swing. He said, no, no, no, no,

  245. no, no, no no, you got your grip wrong. No

  246. no no, no no no no, you're you're holding it too tight.

  247. No. Now, I want you to bring back here, bring it,

  248. bring it, bring all the way back. And I would struggle and he

  249. get me. He'd get my feet all squared away. And every time he

  250. get him squared away, I change him back the way I used to have

  251. him. Every time he we'd set up, he'd set me up and I'd

  252. swing. It feel awkward because I was because I was used to my old

  253. way. And sometimes backwards feels better, I said, backwards, sometimes backwards

  254. feels better. And that's the problem. You are. You you feel better,

  255. but you're going backwards. And it's not based upon your feeling. It's

  256. based on God's truth. And God wants to change your pattern. And for

  257. him to change your pattern, you're gonna have to get discomfort and say,

  258. no, I am going to choose to follow God's way over my way.

  259. Not my will be done, but your will be done God. Today I

  260. decided to come down a new path because I recognize that new path brings about

  261. new progress, new people, new promises, new new new new every morning,

  262. new mercies, new joy, new peace. But I got to change

  263. my pattern. And then when you see that, because here's the deal.

  264. Your surrender stops the cycle, but your obedience breaks the cycle. And most

  265. of us we have surrendered, and we put our cycle on pause, but

  266. we have not broken it by stepping into faith in obedience. This is what

  267. we say when I, then I, when I when I no, no,

  268. no, when I get myself together. No, you can't get your

  269. self together. If you got yourself together, you got yourself together a long

  270. time ago. That's your problem. You think that you have the power to

  271. change you. No, you have to recognize that it starts now. It

  272. starts today. Today is the day of salvation. Today. If you hear

  273. my voice, do not harden your heart. The Book of Hebrews declares today

  274. it's not when, and then it's here and now it's here and now when

  275. I, when I when I get a promotion, then I'll start giving.

  276. No, you won't. You won't give on the two hundred, you won't

  277. give on the two thousand. Don't lie to me, and don't lie to

  278. God. Come on, I'm preaching better than you, ay man. Don't

  279. say when I stay. Now. Now Now is today? Now is the

  280. time? Now, Now, Today, I'm going to begin to break the

  281. cycle. Today, I'm going to forgive. I'm today now. When they

  282. do this, then I'll do that. No, no, no, it

  283. has nothing to do with them. It has everything to do with you and

  284. now and obedience is your responsibility and out come is God. Well, what

  285. if they don't it don't matter. What if they don't do or do do

  286. it matters. Now. Today I'm getting free from my past by starting it

  287. out Today. Today is my day of freedom. Today is my new step.

  288. Today, I'm walking this out Today. I'm gonna live in obedience today,

  289. not tomorrow, Today, Today, Today, I set before you blessing

  290. and cursing. I set before you life and death. It's your choice.

  291. What are you gonna choose? You're gonna stay on pause? Are you gonna

  292. start today? Somebody say today? Just tell your neighbor it starts today.

  293. Uh had no, no, no, they're gonna talk to you. Just

  294. talk till three or four people say it starts today. I'm stopping the excuses

  295. and I'm starting today. I'm starting today. My growth starts today. My

  296. faith becomes activated today. It's faith without obedience is dead. God is looking

  297. for people that don't just become hearers, but become doers. It starts today.

  298. We're better and we're highingly educated above our obedience. But today it is

  299. your application that brings about your transformation. It starts, It starts today.

  300. It starts today, a while everybody else is sipping out. I'm gonna grow

  301. while everybody else is going through the flux. I have chosen to trust God

  302. because it's none about a now. It's a now work, not a then

  303. work. And I recognize that when I walk in obedience, I have to

  304. move out of familiarity into faith. And that's the dynamic because we have to

  305. move from our sight to what he says, and it takes faith. And

  306. where we trust God the least is where we fear the most. See,

  307. we're really good at giving God things that we don't worry about. God,

  308. you can have this, but you can't have my career. You can have

  309. this, but you can't have my family. You can have this, and

  310. we're really good. We'll give it God seventy percent. And God just not

  311. looking for seventy percent. Let me just say this, God's not looking for

  312. weekend visits. He wants full time custody. Yeah, he wants full time.

  313. He wants full time custody in your life because the work that he wants

  314. to do is gonna be full time. In full time, that means that

  315. you're surrendering all of it to the Lord. And where I struggle in the

  316. place of my fears, I have got to learn to say, God,

  317. even when I don't understand it, I still have to trust you. I

  318. can't rely in my own understanding. Trust the Lord with all of your heart,

  319. and lean not to your own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge Him

  320. and he will direct your path. He will make my path. Story.

  321. God, I trust you when I can't trace you, because I trust that

  322. your word is true, that obeying is better than sacrifice, that that if

  323. I obey God in this area, you will do what you said you will

  324. do. You are a provider, You are a good father. You are

  325. a faithful and true and God, I trust you more than I trust what

  326. I see. Come on, give the Lord a praise of you. Believe

  327. it today, Come on now come. This is your year. This is

  328. your year. Today, this is your year. Stop delaying in the area

  329. of obedience, My God, I trust you. Even at forty five,

  330. there's areas of God. It's just challenging me. And I love the Holy

  331. Spirit. The Holy spirits work in my life even now. It is to

  332. begin to transform my heart and continuing develop my heart and my calling and my

  333. character so that He can say well done. They'll goot in faithful servant.

  334. M hm, you don't. You don't graduate in the kingdom into the into

  335. the lazy boy. When's it gonna get easy? When did you think it

  336. was ever easy? When is it starting? When is it when we start

  337. getting the benefits. You have the benefit, but the benefit is not for

  338. you. It's through you. You've missed out. You think the blessings about

  339. you, know the blessings about the other people that are around you. The

  340. dynamic changes of what God does in you. He starts in you so that

  341. he can work through you. You graduate. You graduate today, you're graduating,

  342. your growing in this area. And the dynamic is when Goliath shows up.

  343. The Bible tells us that he had all these bronze and all these things

  344. on him, and the people were afraid and they miss out for forty days.

  345. He was down there forty days. David's brothers eliab Abnda Dab and Shamah

  346. kept on hearing Goliath, and nobody moved. Because the lifetime of opportunity comes

  347. in the opportunity of a lifetime. Arcis said, the opportunity of a lifetime

  348. comes in the lifetime of opportunity. There's always a window. God has windows

  349. that he has set up for your life that you're going to miss if you

  350. delay. Hello, there are things that you've been praying for that God is

  351. setting up. But it's gonna take your obedience to trust God in the process.

  352. You were praying all of January twenty twenty one. Lord, I want

  353. you to give me favor. Lord, I want you to bless me.

  354. Lord, I want you to open up doors. God, I want you

  355. to promote me. God heard what you said, and guess what God sent.

  356. He sent a giant. Because you think that the giant is a problem,

  357. No, it's the key to your promotion. You got to change your

  358. perspective on trouble. You got to change your perspective on tribulation. You got

  359. to change your perspective on the situation because what you are praying for God is

  360. sending me, and now you're it away. M h, I'm gonna let

  361. that sit on somebody you were praying for. Lord, I wanted this,

  362. I want this, I want that, God says, Okay, you want

  363. it, I'm gonna bring hell because wrapped up in the problem is the promise.

  364. You see, they say this to people. Also, choose your friends

  365. wisely. Anybody ever heard that? I say, choose your enemies wisely,

  366. choose your giant sprout, choose your problems wisely. You listen, when you

  367. start praying for promotion, God starts sending problems your way because you're the key

  368. to what God. God's gonna use you as a key for elevation for your

  369. life. But you keep on complaining, no, no, no, no.

  370. This is gonna be the year in this summer when something starts falling apart

  371. and you start wanting to call somebody and say, oh, I need you

  372. to pray for me. No, no, no, don't you say nothing.

  373. Don't pray for me one bit. I'm getting excited because this is a

  374. sign that God is about to do something big in my life. Hell is

  375. a sign that I'm getting closer to this promise. I'm just around the corner

  376. and the devil is starting to sind all kinds of adversaries and every type of

  377. weapon against me. But I got a promise that no weapon formed against me

  378. shall prosper. This weapon that's beaking towards it's going to come against me,

  379. but it's not going to work because this time, I'm prepared for the fight.

  380. Just tell your neighbor say, I'm prepared this morning, I'm prepared for

  381. the fight. I'm prepared. I started shouting, Oh God, all the

  382. miracle. It's on its way, O Connor. This hell is just momentary.

  383. This hell is just a little bit. This hell is just for a

  384. season. This hell that I'm going through, it's not going to make me

  385. bitter. It's going to make me better. This hell he put it on

  386. me, but it's not going to get in me because greater somebody shot Crater

  387. Creator is he that's in me than he that's in the world. Oh,

  388. I'm getting excited. I'm getting excited. I'm getting excited. We just launched

  389. her, we're getting ready to launch the Spanish service, and all Hell's breaking

  390. looser. That I promise you that Hell has the power, have the name

  391. of Jesus, that Hell is got the power, that the promise of his

  392. hand and neighborhood. You may want to fight me today here, but I

  393. can tell you something. The pinole is not mine. It's the loss,

  394. and I'm gonna trust God in this process. I'm gonna trust God to everybody

  395. in this house. It's Spanish speaking saying glory how to your sir, because

  396. we recognize her that this piking is not about flesh and blood, but this

  397. fight is for the souls. Somebody said, yeah, somebody now, yeah,

  398. go ahead of God, go ahead, you can be seated. I'm

  399. trying to teach you today how to look at your problems. You see,

  400. we're going to really launch some things and it's gonna be difficult because anything that

  401. God asked you to do is gonna be hard. That's why opportunity is always

  402. dressed up in overalls and called work because you think it's just supposed to fall

  403. on your lap. You just think they're just gonna show up at the door.

  404. No, there's some grit and some grime that you gotta have in your

  405. spirit, that you persevered, that you pressed on, that that you should

  406. the test that you've been faithful over the little things so that you can be

  407. ruler over mind. There's some things that you gotta learn in kindergarten so you

  408. can gratuate to first grade. And there's some things that you gotta do in

  409. this primary moment so God can take you to the next level that He has

  410. for Gord Live, go, rid to Go. Are you hearing what I'm

  411. saying? See? I told them, I said, this is supposed to

  412. be a teaching message, but I recognize that the key to my spiritual growth

  413. is not information, it's demonstration. At some point, you got to move

  414. the idea to reality. You got to take the concept and you got to

  415. put it to work. We just launched a single and the people say,

  416. how did they do that and how did they put that on iTunes? Well,

  417. it first started with somebody having the guts to start writing and start singing

  418. and start working through lyrics that didn't make any sense until it became a full

  419. song. And it took minutes behind the scenes that nobody saw so that one

  420. day you could listen to it on iTunes and you think, well, I

  421. want that. You don't want that. You want the blessing of that,

  422. not the work of that. And God is trying to teach you this is

  423. where you got to learn, because the only way for you to swim is

  424. you got to get in water. My my, my parents, they probably

  425. mostly all parents in the eighties probably should have gone to jail because the rule

  426. of today would have been considered abuse. Can we just keep it real,

  427. like when my parents when they taught me how to swim, that they didn't

  428. They didn't get floaties, didn't floats, didn't start out to you all millennials,

  429. We didn't have no floaties. You know, get your floaties on my

  430. kids when they when they when they're bornly got we had floaties on their arms,

  431. their legs. I mean, it's like, why even let them in

  432. the water. Just put them in a put them in a thing. I'm

  433. just getting some stuff off my chest. No, my parents didn't even start

  434. in the water with me. They ain't started the baby pulling. Okay,

  435. bubbles. He said, you want to swim, you want to swim.

  436. You're tired of your cousins swimming and you don't want want to swim. You

  437. want to swim. Okay, come here, come here, right in the

  438. water, right in. Don't worry if you drown, will pull you out.

  439. Anybody get parents like that. We don't put your hand down, put

  440. your We don't want nobody to look at you right now. I had to

  441. learn that. I never knew what was in me till I had something on

  442. me. I never knew what was in me till I had it be put

  443. on me. And when I get on me, I learned how to dog

  444. your paddle. I learned how to kick my feet. What I thought I

  445. knew how to do. I had to learn how to do in reality,

  446. and God began to teach me how to swim in faith. Stay with me

  447. today. See here's the thing. David. You know how he beat the

  448. Goliath because that wasn't his first battle. So we always magnified David because it

  449. was a public moment, But privately he was dealing with other things. And

  450. see for some of us right now, we're wanting public advancement, but we

  451. haven't developed private development. And God's just too kind. He's not gonna throw

  452. you in the water in front of people until he throws you in the water

  453. and teaches you how to swim behind closed doors. That's what I'm a good

  454. father. He's gonna let you go in the water, but he's not gonna

  455. let you drown. He's gonna teach you. He gonna teach you how to

  456. swim. And here's the truth. David said, I beat that bear.

  457. See that bear was intimidating. The bear could snatched a few sheep. And

  458. God said, what are you gonna do about it? I don't know,

  459. Lord, what you're gonna do. No, No, I put the staff

  460. in your hands. See you keep on thinking that this is a word for

  461. somebody. You keep on thinking that you're not equipped. God says, you

  462. got everything you need. You think you need somebody else's stuff. No,

  463. you've already got it. Everything you need is right here in the book,

  464. everything pertaining to life and godliness. And he said, I'll get that.

  465. I got that staff. I'm gonna use it. He beat the bear,

  466. Then the lion showed up. Because when God develops you, it don't get

  467. less, it gets greater. You think it's gonna be a battle for two

  468. campuses, Wait till we have ten. What we're gonna do with your campuses

  469. where you're gonna preach out. I'm not even worried about that. I'm thinking

  470. about where are we gonna do with ten campuses, What we're gonna do when

  471. we got records that are being developed in and and the songs are being declared

  472. from the city like a launching station all across the globes, and people are

  473. singing the songs of the ages through the worship of legacy. It's not gonna

  474. get easier, It's gonna get it harder. So God's gonna graduate my faith,

  475. and now he's graduating you the bare faith, then lime faith. Then

  476. he's gonna let you face Goliath. And he's gonna let you face it in

  477. front of people who doubt you. And it's not about the doubter. It

  478. says about the declaration of who God is in your life. Don't you focus

  479. on the doubter. It's focused on the declaration. So today, anybody want

  480. to grow with me, because I've just decided this is my summer to grow.

  481. Come on, prayer partners, begin to move, Begin to move,

  482. begin to move, Come on, Holy Spirit, have your way. Just

  483. bow your heads with me. Jesus right now. I thank you for the

  484. people that are in this room. That are areas in your life. First,

  485. if you've not received Christ as the Lord of your life, today is

  486. the best day to do it. Today is the day of salvation. Now

  487. is the expected time. He said, that's me, Pastor. Today,

  488. I want to surrender my life to God. I just want you, as

  489. people are in this bowing their head, just raise your hand. Just raise

  490. your hand, raise your hand, raise your hand, raise your hand,

  491. raise your hand. Thank you, you say, Pastor. There's areas in

  492. my life that I know that I'm walking in disobedience. There's opportunities that I'm

  493. looking for and God's sending them to me, and I'm just afraid. Let

  494. me tell you something. Do it anyways, with your knees knocking, do

  495. it with your hand shaking. But faith gives you the power to overcome your

  496. fears. Whatever it is. In the name of Jesus, I'm just gonna

  497. ask you again to step out of your seat right now. Come on,

  498. begin to move, Begin to move, Begin to move. This may be

  499. your bold step. Come on, bold steps, Come on, come on,

  500. come on, come on, thank you Jesus. Come on, whatever

  501. it is, starting a business. Come on, whatever it is. It

  502. could be in relationships, whatever you gotta start, whatever you gotta obey God.

  503. And could be in your finances, could be in your family, come

  504. on. Could be sin, addiction. Come on. You need somebody in

  505. your life that'll make you accountable. Come on, come on, come on.

  506. It could be things that are in secret. Come on, Jesus right

  507. now. He's a good God. He loves you. It's not just about

  508. forgiveness, it's about deliverance. Come on, Jesus, thank you, thank

  509. your Lord. Just begin to step out and begin to step out. Come

  510. on, begin to worship the Lord. Come on with your hands rags,

  511. come on and says class, oh a great shut Cris
