Welcome to the Legacy Churches Podcast. We are so glad that you get you
-
in us today. We pray that God speaks to you through his message and
-
through his work. Now let's tune into the message. Saul and the Israelites
-
assembled in camp in the Valley of Ela and drew up their battle lines to
-
meet the Philistines. They're getting ready to have a fight. And the Philistines
-
occupied one hill and the Israelites another, with a valley between them. Now,
-
what's interesting if you actually go to the Valley of Ela, you actually
-
can stand on the top of the hill and someone can be three hundred to
-
four hundred meters away down in the valley, and they can yell at you,
-
and you can hear them crystal clear. So you can imagine when Goliath
-
was there and he was talking, and he says, a champion named Goliath,
-
who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. His height
-
was six cubits and a span. He had a bronze helmet. He wore
-
a code of skill of armor of bronze weighing five thousand shecks on his legs.
-
He wore. The brother was broke, he was busted out and bronze.
-
You see this. His spear shaft was like a weaver's rod, and
-
his iron point weight six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him.
-
He was all in battle ready, and he stood and shouted to the
-
ranks of Israel, why do you come out and line up for battle?
-
Just ask your neighbor, why do you come out and line up for battle?
-
Okay, this is a participator participatory moment. Come on, tell you
-
other say why do you come out and line up for battle? And then
-
he says, am I not a Philistine? Are you not an Israelite?
-
Are you not part of the House of Saul? Are you not the servants
-
of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me. If
-
he's able to fight and kill me, we will become your subject. But
-
if I overcome him and kill him, you will become our subjects in service.
-
Then the Philissine said, this day I defy the armies of Israel.
-
Give me a man and let us fight each other. On hearing the Philistines'
-
words, sault and all these rites were dismayed and terrified. So you see
-
the story. Under David was the son of Ether named Jesse, who was
-
from Bethlehem, and Judash. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul's time
-
he was very old. Jesse's three oldest sons had followed Salt of the war.
-
The first boe was Iliad, the second of Benidad, the thirdest Shama,
-
and David was the youngest. Three oldest followed Salt. But David went
-
back and forth from Salt to tend his father's sheep at Bethlehem. And for
-
forty days, everybody say forty days, how many days? Thank you?
-
For forty days? Forty days the Philistines came forward. The Philistine came forward
-
every morning and evening and took his stin. Now, Jesse said to his
-
son, David, take this ephi of roasted grain and these ten loaves of
-
bread for your brother and hurry to their camp. Take along these ten cheeses
-
to the commander of their unit. See how your brothers are, and bring
-
back some of assurance, some assurance from them. And they they are with
-
Salt and all the men of Israel in the valley. You left fighting against
-
the Philistines early in the morning. Look what the Bible says. Early in
-
the morning, David left the flock and the care of a shepherd loaded up
-
and set out as Jesse had directed. And when he reached the camp,
-
as the army was going out in its battle's position, shouting the war cry
-
ISRAELI Israel, and Thefhilians were drawing up their lines facing each other. I
-
want you just to buy your heads with me. Lord have your way.
-
God give me clarity of thought, hees of expression. I pray, Holy
-
Spirit, God for this listening audience, God, those that are watching online,
-
those that will be watching on demand, Holy Spirit, that you would
-
speak. God will raim a word into this house and through this house.
-
God for every individual and God, I give you the praise for what you're
-
going to do in the strong name of Jesus. And everybody said Amen.
-
Tell your neighbors say no delay, no delay. I hate delays. I
-
hate delays. I hate being delayed. I hate being in traffic and delays.
-
I hate being in a grocery store line in delays. I hate delays.
-
Anybody like delays. If I want to go somewhere, I want to
-
get there. I'm always nervous when I'm traveling because I tend to travel in
-
such a way that there's not enough margin in between where I want to go
-
and what I want to do, which means that if we don't get there,
-
we may miss something. And I hate missing stuff. I hate it.
-
I hate missing things. And I want to get there and have a
-
good time. Anybody know what I'm talking about. I want to have anybody
-
like to have a good time? Like, how many have you ever say
-
this? Said this? Kids? Have you ever said this? Teenagers?
-
Have you ever said this to your your parents? Are we there yet?
-
Come on? Just tell your neighbors. Are we there yet? I want
-
to get there? You hear me? Front row? Are we there yet?
-
Aren't we there yet? We're there? And I never forget when I
-
first when when I got married July thirteenth, two thousand and two, twenty
-
two years ago. Who amen, yeah, give it up, Give it
-
up for my wife, Amed, She's put up with me for twenty two
-
years. We were at the altar and I said I do, and I
-
said, let's go, baby. Was we were getting ready to go on
-
our honeymoon. Amen. And when we were going on our honeymoon, we
-
were going on a cruise. It's our first cruise. We were gonna go
-
on a Princess Cruise line. Nothing better than take your princess to a princess
-
cruise line. Wo And so we were going there, and we were leaving
-
that morning from Memphis all the way down to Fort Lauderdale. And the flight
-
that was gonna get in it was gonna get it at three o'clock and we
-
had to be on the boat at four. Y'all, hear what I just
-
said, Three o'clock, Nick, And we had to get at the boat
-
by four. Not much window. They're gonna pick us up. They had
-
a big shuttle butte that was gonna be there at the airport. We just
-
had to load up and roll out. We were so excited our honeymoon,
-
couldn't wait to be on the adventure together. And we got to Atlanta.
-
And how many know when you go to hot Atlanta, there's one's gonna be
-
problems because we got on we got to Atlanta, because everything goes to Atlanta.
-
Heaven's gonna go through Atlanta. I promise you, when we get rapture,
-
the church gets raptured, We're going right through Atlanta. Amen. So
-
we were in Atlanta, we got we got from the connecting flight, we
-
got onto the connecting flight uh TOIL from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale. We got
-
on a larger plane. We got on that plane and we were on the
-
tarmac and the plane died. Have you ever been on a plane and it's
-
deathly quiet? Like what is going on? There's no air? And it
-
was like one of those things that was so scary. I thought, is
-
there gonna be a truck that pulls up and jumps us? Like? How
-
does this work? And he's like, I mean the whole sound was just
-
scary. I'm like, I don't know if we should be on this plane.
-
And the captain got on and said, I'm sorry, we're having some
-
technical difficulties. We're all like, yes, yes, please Lord. Now
-
remember we got one hour between when we land and when we get on the
-
boat, and so every minute is counting. I'm like, baby, it's
-
been fifteen minutes. We haven't the planes getting hot, people are fanning.
-
You know, Stuart, have you ever seen flight attendants talking about stuff that
-
you want to know what they talking about? You know what I'm saying,
-
like I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'm just gonna listen in. And
-
so they finally got like twenty minutes later, they got the plane running.
-
Hope, we're back on. We got back on, We got back onto
-
taxi, and we got and we landed in Fort Lauderdale. We had like
-
thirty five minutes to go. We've already been delayed twenty minutes. We only
-
have thirty five forty minutes to get on this bus and get to the to
-
the terminal for the cruise ship. And we go down to the carousel to
-
pick up our luggage. And have you ever gone down to the luggage place
-
and you couldn't find your luggage. There's nothing worse. I would rather not
-
get on the plane than to get on the plane without my luggage. Oh,
-
you're not gonna talk to me today, I said. I packed.
-
I packed. We packed for a whole week's adventure on this cruise. And
-
my wife is looking and she can't find her bags. In fact, she
-
will, it's just one bag. She can't find one bag. And I'm
-
like trying to console a baby. It's gonna be okay, it's gonna be
-
great, and it's gonna be wonderful. And you know, if we need
-
to buy up the bathing suit, if the bathing suit's in there, it's
-
no problem, you know, no, you know, we'll get it.
-
We'll get it when we get on the boat. She said, no,
-
there's everything in that bag, everything everything. I said everything, What is
-
everything? She said, everything, including the birth control. I said,
-
oh lord, oh lord, we need that bag. Oh we need that.
-
My wife told me, make sure you're specific when you're telling them what
-
we were missing. Don't let them conjecture. No, no, no,
-
we were missing some stuff. I said, Oh God, we need that
-
bag. I changed my heart changed completely. With no delay, y'all get
-
that Tomorrow's lit. Pg. Thirteen Today a man God, they told us.
-
I said, it's on the next plane, and by the time,
-
if it doesn't get to the terminal in the next thirty minutes, then you'll
-
get it three days later. Oh, the devil is a liar. The
-
devil is a liar, I said, no delay. One of the greatest
-
things I ever saw on that cruise ship was when we were getting ready to
-
debark disembarked from the boat, I mean from the terminal, and I looked
-
and we went back to our room, and there that the luggage piece that
-
was missing had been found. Oh, oh good, amen, no delay.
-
And I have to ask these I tell this story because we understand how
-
delay happens to us. But what happens when we are the delay? What
-
happens when we are the delay? What happens when there are people that expecting
-
something that we actually are going to deliver, but because we're not in our
-
proper position, or in our heart, or our obedience, or because our
-
attitude, that they are missing something that we are supposed to give them.
-
And in this process today, I want you to see this text, because
-
this text is very interesting, and the reason why I didn't get into the
-
very depths of the battle is because I want you to see the presupposition in
-
this text is that they were actually shouting a war cry and never fighting who
-
When I read that, I said, they're shouting a battle cry that they're
-
not going to fight in And it really really spoke to me about how in
-
our world today, and especially in the Believers, there's so many people that
-
are shouting but not seizing. They're getting dressed but going nowhere. They're making
-
a lot of noise but not making any movement. You're not gonna talk to
-
me, I understand. I understand. It's a little dangerous right now.
-
M HM. Toes are getting broken because the devil is not afraid of your
-
shout. If you don't have any steps, See what makes your shout dangerous
-
as he knows your steps are coming after it. HM, And it's important
-
today that you recognize that the rule of your adversary is this. He doesn't
-
have to kill you. He just has to keep you. This is the
-
summer that he just wants to keep you. Keep you in commonplace, keep
-
you in regret, keep you in your feelings, keep you in a fense,
-
keep you in fear, keep you in doubt, keep you in disobedience,
-
keep you in condemnation, keep you in that relationship, keep you stuck,
-
keep you satisfied, keep you you become a prison of your past.
-
I just gotta keep you. I don't gotta kill you. Why do I
-
need to kill you when you're gonna kill yourself? Preaching better? How you're
-
stuck? And one of the dynamics of our lives is that God is challenging
-
us. This is the year of pursuit. And if we're going to be
-
a people that pursue God with all of our heart, we can no longer
-
delay. The word for today is no delay. Just tell three or four
-
people say no delay, no delay, no delay, no delay. There's
-
no time to waste, there's no time to put to sit around pointing out
-
what's not working. Today is the day that there's no delay. And if
-
we're gonna not delay, then we got to recognize what delay does. The
-
dynamic of delay is delayed obedience is disobedience. Delayed obedience is still disobedience.
-
And the call of the believers today is calling us to step into obedience.
-
And I begin to ask the question, why are we delaying in this area
-
of disobedience? There are areas in our lives that are still not in congruency
-
with God's word. There's areas in our lives. And if you're new in
-
the faith, this whole obedience is this whole new reality within the world.
-
If you're new in your faith, this is a whole new world where you're
-
getting to learn. And if you've walked in your faith for just a little
-
bit, you're learning that there are areas that God is challenging you and convicting
-
you because He wants to grow you. And so here's the thing that I
-
learned. Number one and why we delay is old doors don't lead to new
-
paths. What I mean by that is that in the dynamic is is that
-
a lot of us are trying to do the new thing in the old way.
-
We're trying to do it in our strength. We're trying to do it
-
in our flesh. We're trying to do it in our abilities. We're trying
-
to do it. We have not recognized that God has a new operational manual
-
called righteousness, that he wants to reign in our lives. That we got
-
to rain from righteousness, not for righteousness, but from righteousness. That God
-
begins to give us a whole new mode of operation, because when we were
-
birth, we had our old operation. And our old operation is selfish,
-
waiting for all the amens to die down, because no one had to teach
-
you to be selfish, and you don't have to work to be selfish.
-
I'm having a hard time today to be selfish. Who I mean, I'm
-
so unselfish. I give all the time to everybody. I'm always doing something
-
that I just have a hard time being selfish. No, howman, No,
-
it's easy to be selfish, it's hard to be unselfish. The first
-
thing you do when you get you want you know how hard I work.
-
Don't you know how hard you are looking for a place of comfort. And
-
here is the dynamic. We all want transformation, but we don't want discomfort
-
in the process of transformation. And here's the dynamic that we need to recognize
-
that God is trying to change us, but he's trying to change us in
-
a new way. And we keep on going to the old and the old
-
doors don't lead the new past. And that's why we keep on getting stuck.
-
That's why we keep on getting frustrated, because we're trying to do it
-
in our strengths. We're trying to do it in our ability, we're trying
-
to do it in our understanding. We're trying to figure it out on our
-
own ways. And we have to learn that the first place that we have
-
to come to is a place called crucifixion, where we die so that He
-
can live. I have to die to myself so that His or righteousness can
-
reign in and through my life. And that's easier said, then come on
-
now, because the truth of the matter is is that there's patterns in our
-
lives. There's patterns in your lives. The addiction is a pattern you want
-
to break it, but you can't. That's why I try to tell people
-
all the time that listen that it's the pattern of your life. If you
-
will change the pattern, God, you will change the product pattern, but
-
the pattern of our lives. When God gives us a new pattern, it
-
feels uncomfortable. Anybody play sports, anybody play sports. Come on, just
-
wave at me. Anybody want to play sports, just wave at me.
-
Because anytime that you're learning, if it's basketball, if it's baseball, if
-
it's football, there are habits that you have created that are actually hindering your
-
progress. And part of the coach is the coach comes up and he starts
-
telling you I love playing golf. I want to play golf, but right
-
now the budget's tight. Praise the Lord, but I can go to top
-
golf. And if you want to take your pastor to top golf, the
-
Lord will bless you. Amen. Just throwing it out there, word of
-
knowledge, I'm telling you there's so the dynamic of the of and so when
-
you're playing golf, there's a swing pattern. And so when I first started
-
to play golf, I played with my grandfather's clubs, and those are back
-
in the day when the woods were wood. And so when I started playing,
-
I had a slice. I could slice the ball. It could start
-
here, it would give me aim in that direction. By the time it
-
got done, it'd be all the way over there. And when my father
-
in law met me, when he started working with me, he started trying
-
to change my swing. He said, no, no, no, no,
-
no, no, no no, you got your grip wrong. No
-
no no, no no no no, you're you're holding it too tight.
-
No. Now, I want you to bring back here, bring it,
-
bring it, bring all the way back. And I would struggle and he
-
get me. He'd get my feet all squared away. And every time he
-
get him squared away, I change him back the way I used to have
-
him. Every time he we'd set up, he'd set me up and I'd
-
swing. It feel awkward because I was because I was used to my old
-
way. And sometimes backwards feels better, I said, backwards, sometimes backwards
-
feels better. And that's the problem. You are. You you feel better,
-
but you're going backwards. And it's not based upon your feeling. It's
-
based on God's truth. And God wants to change your pattern. And for
-
him to change your pattern, you're gonna have to get discomfort and say,
-
no, I am going to choose to follow God's way over my way.
-
Not my will be done, but your will be done God. Today I
-
decided to come down a new path because I recognize that new path brings about
-
new progress, new people, new promises, new new new new every morning,
-
new mercies, new joy, new peace. But I got to change
-
my pattern. And then when you see that, because here's the deal.
-
Your surrender stops the cycle, but your obedience breaks the cycle. And most
-
of us we have surrendered, and we put our cycle on pause, but
-
we have not broken it by stepping into faith in obedience. This is what
-
we say when I, then I, when I when I no, no,
-
no, when I get myself together. No, you can't get your
-
self together. If you got yourself together, you got yourself together a long
-
time ago. That's your problem. You think that you have the power to
-
change you. No, you have to recognize that it starts now. It
-
starts today. Today is the day of salvation. Today. If you hear
-
my voice, do not harden your heart. The Book of Hebrews declares today
-
it's not when, and then it's here and now it's here and now when
-
I, when I when I get a promotion, then I'll start giving.
-
No, you won't. You won't give on the two hundred, you won't
-
give on the two thousand. Don't lie to me, and don't lie to
-
God. Come on, I'm preaching better than you, ay man. Don't
-
say when I stay. Now. Now Now is today? Now is the
-
time? Now, Now, Today, I'm going to begin to break the
-
cycle. Today, I'm going to forgive. I'm today now. When they
-
do this, then I'll do that. No, no, no, it
-
has nothing to do with them. It has everything to do with you and
-
now and obedience is your responsibility and out come is God. Well, what
-
if they don't it don't matter. What if they don't do or do do
-
it matters. Now. Today I'm getting free from my past by starting it
-
out Today. Today is my day of freedom. Today is my new step.
-
Today, I'm walking this out Today. I'm gonna live in obedience today,
-
not tomorrow, Today, Today, Today, I set before you blessing
-
and cursing. I set before you life and death. It's your choice.
-
What are you gonna choose? You're gonna stay on pause? Are you gonna
-
start today? Somebody say today? Just tell your neighbor it starts today.
-
Uh had no, no, no, they're gonna talk to you. Just
-
talk till three or four people say it starts today. I'm stopping the excuses
-
and I'm starting today. I'm starting today. My growth starts today. My
-
faith becomes activated today. It's faith without obedience is dead. God is looking
-
for people that don't just become hearers, but become doers. It starts today.
-
We're better and we're highingly educated above our obedience. But today it is
-
your application that brings about your transformation. It starts, It starts today.
-
It starts today, a while everybody else is sipping out. I'm gonna grow
-
while everybody else is going through the flux. I have chosen to trust God
-
because it's none about a now. It's a now work, not a then
-
work. And I recognize that when I walk in obedience, I have to
-
move out of familiarity into faith. And that's the dynamic because we have to
-
move from our sight to what he says, and it takes faith. And
-
where we trust God the least is where we fear the most. See,
-
we're really good at giving God things that we don't worry about. God,
-
you can have this, but you can't have my career. You can have
-
this, but you can't have my family. You can have this, and
-
we're really good. We'll give it God seventy percent. And God just not
-
looking for seventy percent. Let me just say this, God's not looking for
-
weekend visits. He wants full time custody. Yeah, he wants full time.
-
He wants full time custody in your life because the work that he wants
-
to do is gonna be full time. In full time, that means that
-
you're surrendering all of it to the Lord. And where I struggle in the
-
place of my fears, I have got to learn to say, God,
-
even when I don't understand it, I still have to trust you. I
-
can't rely in my own understanding. Trust the Lord with all of your heart,
-
and lean not to your own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge Him
-
and he will direct your path. He will make my path. Story.
-
God, I trust you when I can't trace you, because I trust that
-
your word is true, that obeying is better than sacrifice, that that if
-
I obey God in this area, you will do what you said you will
-
do. You are a provider, You are a good father. You are
-
a faithful and true and God, I trust you more than I trust what
-
I see. Come on, give the Lord a praise of you. Believe
-
it today, Come on now come. This is your year. This is
-
your year. Today, this is your year. Stop delaying in the area
-
of obedience, My God, I trust you. Even at forty five,
-
there's areas of God. It's just challenging me. And I love the Holy
-
Spirit. The Holy spirits work in my life even now. It is to
-
begin to transform my heart and continuing develop my heart and my calling and my
-
character so that He can say well done. They'll goot in faithful servant.
-
M hm, you don't. You don't graduate in the kingdom into the into
-
the lazy boy. When's it gonna get easy? When did you think it
-
was ever easy? When is it starting? When is it when we start
-
getting the benefits. You have the benefit, but the benefit is not for
-
you. It's through you. You've missed out. You think the blessings about
-
you, know the blessings about the other people that are around you. The
-
dynamic changes of what God does in you. He starts in you so that
-
he can work through you. You graduate. You graduate today, you're graduating,
-
your growing in this area. And the dynamic is when Goliath shows up.
-
The Bible tells us that he had all these bronze and all these things
-
on him, and the people were afraid and they miss out for forty days.
-
He was down there forty days. David's brothers eliab Abnda Dab and Shamah
-
kept on hearing Goliath, and nobody moved. Because the lifetime of opportunity comes
-
in the opportunity of a lifetime. Arcis said, the opportunity of a lifetime
-
comes in the lifetime of opportunity. There's always a window. God has windows
-
that he has set up for your life that you're going to miss if you
-
delay. Hello, there are things that you've been praying for that God is
-
setting up. But it's gonna take your obedience to trust God in the process.
-
You were praying all of January twenty twenty one. Lord, I want
-
you to give me favor. Lord, I want you to bless me.
-
Lord, I want you to open up doors. God, I want you
-
to promote me. God heard what you said, and guess what God sent.
-
He sent a giant. Because you think that the giant is a problem,
-
No, it's the key to your promotion. You got to change your
-
perspective on trouble. You got to change your perspective on tribulation. You got
-
to change your perspective on the situation because what you are praying for God is
-
sending me, and now you're it away. M h, I'm gonna let
-
that sit on somebody you were praying for. Lord, I wanted this,
-
I want this, I want that, God says, Okay, you want
-
it, I'm gonna bring hell because wrapped up in the problem is the promise.
-
You see, they say this to people. Also, choose your friends
-
wisely. Anybody ever heard that? I say, choose your enemies wisely,
-
choose your giant sprout, choose your problems wisely. You listen, when you
-
start praying for promotion, God starts sending problems your way because you're the key
-
to what God. God's gonna use you as a key for elevation for your
-
life. But you keep on complaining, no, no, no, no.
-
This is gonna be the year in this summer when something starts falling apart
-
and you start wanting to call somebody and say, oh, I need you
-
to pray for me. No, no, no, don't you say nothing.
-
Don't pray for me one bit. I'm getting excited because this is a
-
sign that God is about to do something big in my life. Hell is
-
a sign that I'm getting closer to this promise. I'm just around the corner
-
and the devil is starting to sind all kinds of adversaries and every type of
-
weapon against me. But I got a promise that no weapon formed against me
-
shall prosper. This weapon that's beaking towards it's going to come against me,
-
but it's not going to work because this time, I'm prepared for the fight.
-
Just tell your neighbor say, I'm prepared this morning, I'm prepared for
-
the fight. I'm prepared. I started shouting, Oh God, all the
-
miracle. It's on its way, O Connor. This hell is just momentary.
-
This hell is just a little bit. This hell is just for a
-
season. This hell that I'm going through, it's not going to make me
-
bitter. It's going to make me better. This hell he put it on
-
me, but it's not going to get in me because greater somebody shot Crater
-
Creator is he that's in me than he that's in the world. Oh,
-
I'm getting excited. I'm getting excited. I'm getting excited. We just launched
-
her, we're getting ready to launch the Spanish service, and all Hell's breaking
-
looser. That I promise you that Hell has the power, have the name
-
of Jesus, that Hell is got the power, that the promise of his
-
hand and neighborhood. You may want to fight me today here, but I
-
can tell you something. The pinole is not mine. It's the loss,
-
and I'm gonna trust God in this process. I'm gonna trust God to everybody
-
in this house. It's Spanish speaking saying glory how to your sir, because
-
we recognize her that this piking is not about flesh and blood, but this
-
fight is for the souls. Somebody said, yeah, somebody now, yeah,
-
go ahead of God, go ahead, you can be seated. I'm
-
trying to teach you today how to look at your problems. You see,
-
we're going to really launch some things and it's gonna be difficult because anything that
-
God asked you to do is gonna be hard. That's why opportunity is always
-
dressed up in overalls and called work because you think it's just supposed to fall
-
on your lap. You just think they're just gonna show up at the door.
-
No, there's some grit and some grime that you gotta have in your
-
spirit, that you persevered, that you pressed on, that that you should
-
the test that you've been faithful over the little things so that you can be
-
ruler over mind. There's some things that you gotta learn in kindergarten so you
-
can gratuate to first grade. And there's some things that you gotta do in
-
this primary moment so God can take you to the next level that He has
-
for Gord Live, go, rid to Go. Are you hearing what I'm
-
saying? See? I told them, I said, this is supposed to
-
be a teaching message, but I recognize that the key to my spiritual growth
-
is not information, it's demonstration. At some point, you got to move
-
the idea to reality. You got to take the concept and you got to
-
put it to work. We just launched a single and the people say,
-
how did they do that and how did they put that on iTunes? Well,
-
it first started with somebody having the guts to start writing and start singing
-
and start working through lyrics that didn't make any sense until it became a full
-
song. And it took minutes behind the scenes that nobody saw so that one
-
day you could listen to it on iTunes and you think, well, I
-
want that. You don't want that. You want the blessing of that,
-
not the work of that. And God is trying to teach you this is
-
where you got to learn, because the only way for you to swim is
-
you got to get in water. My my, my parents, they probably
-
mostly all parents in the eighties probably should have gone to jail because the rule
-
of today would have been considered abuse. Can we just keep it real,
-
like when my parents when they taught me how to swim, that they didn't
-
They didn't get floaties, didn't floats, didn't start out to you all millennials,
-
We didn't have no floaties. You know, get your floaties on my
-
kids when they when they when they're bornly got we had floaties on their arms,
-
their legs. I mean, it's like, why even let them in
-
the water. Just put them in a put them in a thing. I'm
-
just getting some stuff off my chest. No, my parents didn't even start
-
in the water with me. They ain't started the baby pulling. Okay,
-
bubbles. He said, you want to swim, you want to swim.
-
You're tired of your cousins swimming and you don't want want to swim. You
-
want to swim. Okay, come here, come here, right in the
-
water, right in. Don't worry if you drown, will pull you out.
-
Anybody get parents like that. We don't put your hand down, put
-
your We don't want nobody to look at you right now. I had to
-
learn that. I never knew what was in me till I had something on
-
me. I never knew what was in me till I had it be put
-
on me. And when I get on me, I learned how to dog
-
your paddle. I learned how to kick my feet. What I thought I
-
knew how to do. I had to learn how to do in reality,
-
and God began to teach me how to swim in faith. Stay with me
-
today. See here's the thing. David. You know how he beat the
-
Goliath because that wasn't his first battle. So we always magnified David because it
-
was a public moment, But privately he was dealing with other things. And
-
see for some of us right now, we're wanting public advancement, but we
-
haven't developed private development. And God's just too kind. He's not gonna throw
-
you in the water in front of people until he throws you in the water
-
and teaches you how to swim behind closed doors. That's what I'm a good
-
father. He's gonna let you go in the water, but he's not gonna
-
let you drown. He's gonna teach you. He gonna teach you how to
-
swim. And here's the truth. David said, I beat that bear.
-
See that bear was intimidating. The bear could snatched a few sheep. And
-
God said, what are you gonna do about it? I don't know,
-
Lord, what you're gonna do. No, No, I put the staff
-
in your hands. See you keep on thinking that this is a word for
-
somebody. You keep on thinking that you're not equipped. God says, you
-
got everything you need. You think you need somebody else's stuff. No,
-
you've already got it. Everything you need is right here in the book,
-
everything pertaining to life and godliness. And he said, I'll get that.
-
I got that staff. I'm gonna use it. He beat the bear,
-
Then the lion showed up. Because when God develops you, it don't get
-
less, it gets greater. You think it's gonna be a battle for two
-
campuses, Wait till we have ten. What we're gonna do with your campuses
-
where you're gonna preach out. I'm not even worried about that. I'm thinking
-
about where are we gonna do with ten campuses, What we're gonna do when
-
we got records that are being developed in and and the songs are being declared
-
from the city like a launching station all across the globes, and people are
-
singing the songs of the ages through the worship of legacy. It's not gonna
-
get easier, It's gonna get it harder. So God's gonna graduate my faith,
-
and now he's graduating you the bare faith, then lime faith. Then
-
he's gonna let you face Goliath. And he's gonna let you face it in
-
front of people who doubt you. And it's not about the doubter. It
-
says about the declaration of who God is in your life. Don't you focus
-
on the doubter. It's focused on the declaration. So today, anybody want
-
to grow with me, because I've just decided this is my summer to grow.
-
Come on, prayer partners, begin to move, Begin to move,
-
begin to move, Come on, Holy Spirit, have your way. Just
-
bow your heads with me. Jesus right now. I thank you for the
-
people that are in this room. That are areas in your life. First,
-
if you've not received Christ as the Lord of your life, today is
-
the best day to do it. Today is the day of salvation. Now
-
is the expected time. He said, that's me, Pastor. Today,
-
I want to surrender my life to God. I just want you, as
-
people are in this bowing their head, just raise your hand. Just raise
-
your hand, raise your hand, raise your hand, raise your hand,
-
raise your hand. Thank you, you say, Pastor. There's areas in
-
my life that I know that I'm walking in disobedience. There's opportunities that I'm
-
looking for and God's sending them to me, and I'm just afraid. Let
-
me tell you something. Do it anyways, with your knees knocking, do
-
it with your hand shaking. But faith gives you the power to overcome your
-
fears. Whatever it is. In the name of Jesus, I'm just gonna
-
ask you again to step out of your seat right now. Come on,
-
begin to move, Begin to move, Begin to move. This may be
-
your bold step. Come on, bold steps, Come on, come on,
-
come on, come on, thank you Jesus. Come on, whatever
-
it is, starting a business. Come on, whatever it is. It
-
could be in relationships, whatever you gotta start, whatever you gotta obey God.
-
And could be in your finances, could be in your family, come
-
on. Could be sin, addiction. Come on. You need somebody in
-
your life that'll make you accountable. Come on, come on, come on.
-
It could be things that are in secret. Come on, Jesus right
-
now. He's a good God. He loves you. It's not just about
-
forgiveness, it's about deliverance. Come on, Jesus, thank you, thank
-
your Lord. Just begin to step out and begin to step out. Come
-
on, begin to worship the Lord. Come on with your hands rags,
-
come on and says class, oh a great shut Cris
