  1. Welcome to the Legacy Churches Podcast. We are so glad that you get you

  2. win us today. We pray that God speaks to you through his message and

  3. through his work. Now let's tune into the message. Laban said to him,

  4. just because you are a relative of mine, should you work for me

  5. for nothing? Tell me what your wages should be. Now, Laban had

  6. two daughters. The name of the older was Leah, and the name of

  7. the younger was Rachel. Leah had weak eyes, but Rachel had a lovely

  8. figure and was beautiful. Jacob put in love with Rachel and said, I

  9. worked seven years in return for your younger daughter. Rachel. Lavin said,

  10. well, we know it's better that I give her to you than to some

  11. other man, So stay here with me. So Jacob served seven years to

  12. get Rachel, but they seem like only a few days to him because of

  13. his love for her. Then Jacob said to Laban, give me my wife.

  14. My time is completed. I want to marry her. So brought together

  15. all the people of the place and gave a big, big feast. But

  16. when evening came, he took his daughter Leah and brought her to Jacob.

  17. Jacob mad loved her, and Laban gave gave the servant Zephyr to his daughter

  18. as her attendant. When morning came, there was Leah. So Jacob said

  19. to Laban, what is this you have done to me? I served you

  20. for Rachel, didn't I Why have you deceived me? Lord? Bless your

  21. word and Jesus name. Amen, you can be seated living life in a

  22. shadow. That's what I want to talk about this morning, about the shadow

  23. that Leah actually lived in of Rachel's. Because do you realize that when God

  24. created us, he didn't create us to be like somebody else. God didn't

  25. create us to look like somebody else, to walk like somebody else. That

  26. when he create us, you have your own DNA, You have your own

  27. fingerprints, your personality. The Word said he you were We were created in

  28. His image. Very unique. Look at your neighbor and say you're so unique.

  29. Oh you better look at your other neighbor. I don't know if they

  30. believed you or not. Look at your other neighbors, say you're unique.

  31. Let me ask you this question. Have you ever been confronted with there was

  32. gonna be a promotion at work and you just knew you were gonna get that

  33. promotion and it passed you by. Or maybe you were at school growing up,

  34. in primary and elementary school in junior high and you wanted to be the

  35. teacher's pet. Was there anybody here this morning that was the teacher's pet?

  36. Come on, nobody in here was ever? How many would we had?

  37. Okay, we got a couple of teachers pets. How many would wanted to

  38. be the teacher's pet, wanted to be the favorite? Or maybe it was

  39. time for recess time and it was time for that to play softball and they're

  40. gonna pick the team, and you stood there tribling in your shoes, going

  41. like Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, please don't let me be the last one

  42. picked. Anybody was ever the last one pick? You know, you didn't

  43. want to be embarrassed, you know you you just pray just kind of like

  44. okay, come on, darling, you can be on our team. You're

  45. like like, gee, thanks, thanks, thanks, you know, or

  46. maybe anybody when you were growing up you had to wear the hand me down

  47. clothes because you were not the first born, so you got the hand me

  48. down clothes. See back then, when I grow up, if you had

  49. holes in your clothes. It meant you were poor. You have your holes

  50. in the clothes. Now it means you're rich because it costs to have holes

  51. in your clothes. Makes absolutely no sense, does it, my goodness?

  52. Or maybe you were were not the favorite child? Am I talking to anybody

  53. this morning so far? If you get set down now and have a conversation

  54. with Leah, you know what she would understand. She'd go, girl,

  55. I know exactly what you're talking about. Bro, I got it. I

  56. know I've been there because in this story about Leah, I said she was

  57. caught in manipulation and deception between I call it two tricksters between her dad and

  58. Jacob. And of course we know the story of Jacob. You know,

  59. he stole his brother's birthright. He wanted the blessing of the first born.

  60. He wanted to be highly favored, he wanted all the privileges. But it's

  61. really unique, if you'll read on in Genesis twenty five twenty three, God

  62. had already told Rebecca, and I already promised Rebecca. It said the older

  63. shall serve the younger. That Jacob didn't have to do what he did,

  64. because God had already promised that he would be blessed because Jacob was destined to

  65. be a ruler. But here's what happened. Jacob became impatient. Oh can

  66. I give somebody a word this morning? There's much danger in becoming impatient with

  67. God's timing. I'm gonna put it like this. Anybody that kind of have

  68. a hard time with patience, Well, I feel like I'm told thankful I'm

  69. not in the room alone. It's kind of like I'm an organizer. I'm

  70. very OCD and I like everything in order, and I like to know how

  71. it's going to happen, when it's going to happen, who's going to happen

  72. with And when I'm dealing with God, he don't clue me in. He

  73. knows how to drive an OCD person bonkers. Anybody there with me, Well,

  74. here's what happens. God says, you've been praying for a situation.

  75. You've been seeking his will, You've been quoting the word, you've been singing

  76. his praises. God takes you, and he prepositions you for favor. So

  77. he prepositions you in this position for favor because what he's going to do is

  78. he's going to reposition you for favor but for favor to come in your life,

  79. he's got to get the right people in the right place at the right

  80. time. He's got to have a job opening created in that business for you

  81. to get that job. He's got to bring a man in your life that's

  82. going to be your mate. But he hasn't got saved yet, so he's

  83. got to get to that revival and get saved first. That right car has

  84. got to come along, because the thing is a person hadn't traded it in

  85. yet to get them a new car. So he puts you over here in

  86. this preposition, posician. It tells you to stay here, keep praising me,

  87. keep seeking my will, keep giving me thanks while he's putting everything in

  88. place. But you get impatient with God. And then you get impatient God

  89. because things is. You've been praying for your kids to get saved and they're

  90. getting meaner. Okay, You've been praying for your marriage to get better and

  91. it's getting worse. You've been praying for favor to come at your job and

  92. you get laid off and you thank God. You need some help. You

  93. know, it's kind of stupid to say, but hey, many of us

  94. think God needs our help Sometimes So what happens is we begin to take things

  95. in our own hands and we remove ourself out of that prepositioned position that God

  96. has put us in, and we begin to help God with the job,

  97. with the marriage, with the children, with a dating situation. And when

  98. God gets the right things in position, now he's got the job for you.

  99. He's got the mate for you. He's got someone that's going to come

  100. in your life that's gonna have bless your kids and they're gonna get saved.

  101. So he's got the right people in the right place at the right time.

  102. So now he comes where he left you in toime told you to stay on

  103. your face before me saying the word stay praising me, have a positive attitude.

  104. And because you've removed yourself, you've just missed your blessing. You just

  105. missed that promotion, you just permissed that marriage getting better. You just you

  106. just miss your kid getting saved through someone because you've done become impatient with God

  107. and moved yourself out of that position and you miss favor and then you blame

  108. it on God. It's like I prayed to nothing changed, I praised and

  109. it got worse. Well, Lord, it is because you became impatient with

  110. God. Here's what the scripture says in Galatian sixty nine. And let us

  111. not be weary, And you write your name in there, because I wrote,

  112. and let Darlene not be weary and well doing. See, he knew

  113. that we was gonna get weary. He knew we were gonna get worn out.

  114. He knew we were gonna get tired of praying and believing and praying and

  115. believing. So he says, so let Darlene not be weary well doing so.

  116. He said far in due season. He didn't say tomorrow. He didn't

  117. say next Friday. He didn't say by this afternoon. Is in baking what

  118. I'm talking about? He just said in due season. Due season could be

  119. years from now. I had a friend she paid for her husband to say

  120. for thirty years, on his dying bed at the hospital, he gave his

  121. heart to the Lord, she said, But God told me not to stop

  122. praying. But it says in due season, he says, Darlene shall reap.

  123. Okay, that means I'm gonna reap what I've sown. I'm gonna get

  124. the favor that I've been praying for. But what is say if I want.

  125. So Therefore, he knew you were gonna get faint, He knew you

  126. were gonna get weary. He knew that you was gonna get stressed out.

  127. He knew that you were gonna get tired. So he says, in due

  128. season, you will reap what you've been prayed for. But you can't it

  129. weary. You can't look at your circumstance and base your outcome of what surrounds

  130. you. First Corinth this one nine and says God is faithful to fulfill his

  131. promises. Now, I wish you had just put an exclamation point right there,

  132. but he had to go put a calmer there. He's faithful to fill

  133. his promises. Now, is what my timing? What do you say?

  134. Okay, it's all about him again. Okay, his time and by whose

  135. methods? Like God, give me a break? Can it be something my

  136. timing like I need it by Friday? Can't it be high? I want

  137. this person to come and say this and bring me this. No, no,

  138. no, that's not what he said. But he said he is faithful.

  139. Someone's faithful means they're going to do what they say they're going to do.

  140. He's faithful with his timing and this method. God does have ministry for

  141. you. He does have a house for you that you might be praying for,

  142. or a car, or even a child. But it's gonna be in

  143. his timing. Don't rush God or change his plans that he has for you.

  144. Now back to Jacob. Can we find Jacob. He's fearing for his

  145. life now he has to leave home, so he runs to his uncle's house

  146. by the name of Laban, and he arrives there. As soon as he

  147. arrives there, his eyes falls on this most gorgeous, beautiful woman he's ever

  148. seen. Now, the word says that she was beautiful and form an appearance.

  149. Now, when I think a beautiful, I'm thinking a perfect look at

  150. your neighbor and said, there's one of those inside of me. You just

  151. can't see it right now. That's what he says. She was beautiful.

  152. But then we had Rachel, Rachel's sister Leah. The Bible says she was

  153. not pretty. He talks about her eyes. Said she had cowies, she

  154. had ugly eyes. You wouldn't want to meet this in a dark alley one

  155. night. I think you get the point. She was not attractive. So

  156. now we're about to have a wedding because you know, back in those days,

  157. you know, on the front of your handout notes, you know,

  158. they wore all that garb, so all you saw was the eyes. So

  159. that's all he saw of Leah. So now it's a wedding feast. Laban

  160. makes this big party. Now I'm sure there was lots of drinking going on.

  161. I'm sure he had to get Jacob really drunk to get him to do

  162. what he is about to have him do. So they have a big party.

  163. So now Laban takes Jacob to the bridle chamber and guess who's waiting for

  164. him, Leah. Well here's what happens. The next morning. Leah wakes

  165. up thinking, I'm finally gonna have somebody that loves me. I'm finally gonna

  166. have somebody that can hold me, somebody that can brag on me or tell

  167. me that I'm pretty, that's gonna respect me. And she rolls over.

  168. And when she rolls over, she rolls over to an empty bed. Don't

  169. you know she must have immediately felt nothing's changed. I'm never gonna be loved,

  170. I'm never gonna be respected, I'm never gonna be thought well of.

  171. She must immediately begin to feel abandoned, rejected. You's unwanted, undesirable.

  172. And what's the what sad about this story is she didn't ask for any of

  173. this, She didn't deserve any of this. She was the victim. Get

  174. that, some of you are sitting in your seat this morning, and you

  175. become the victim of a situation that you had no control over. You had

  176. nothing to do about it. You were accused, you were lied about.

  177. You were a victim of that situation. And all she wanted was to be

  178. loved, to be respected, to be appreciated. Because of living in the

  179. shadow of Rachel her whole life, she must have already had low self esteem,

  180. probably been timid, had no confidence. But Leah said, but I'm

  181. married. I'm going to win his heart over one way or another. She

  182. was determined. So don't you imagine when he went to work and he came

  183. home, she probably had his favorite meal prepared and would come in. She'd

  184. done all the laundry and it was all hanging up. Then she should go

  185. out and she'd get the water. She would worship his chariot. Then she'd

  186. get that stuff and spray on the spokes to make him really shiny. So

  187. when he went to work the next day, he had the best looking chariot

  188. on the lot because he was a car salesman of chariots. But nothing changed.

  189. So she said, Okay, what can I give him that Rachel can't

  190. or hazard? She said, I know, I'll have a baby. That's

  191. what I'll do. I'll have a baby. So she gives birth to her

  192. first son, and the thing is back then they named children, what was

  193. going on in their life the meaning of that, so they named him Ruben.

  194. Ruben means look at me, see my afflictions, Jacob. Can you

  195. not see my afflictions? Can you? Can you not see how you're acting

  196. towards me? How much it grieves and hurts my heart? But nothing changed.

  197. So she thought, I'll give birth to a second child. Surely he

  198. will love me if I give him two children. She gives birth to Simeon

  199. that says to hear to listen to me, Jacob, can you not listen?

  200. Can you not hear my heart crying for you just to love me?

  201. But nothing changed. She goes, I know I'll give him three children.

  202. Surely he will love me and desire me if I give him three children.

  203. He gives she gives birth to LEVI I means to be joined to, to

  204. be connected to. Surely, if I've given you three children, will be

  205. connected at the heart forever. Nothing changed. I don't know what happened between

  206. child number three and child number four, but I can only say say she

  207. had an encounter with the Lord. And can I tell you when you have

  208. an encounter. I'm talking about a holy ghost encounter with the Lord. Things

  209. will change in your life. Your attitude will change. The way you go

  210. to work will change, the way you talk to people will change, the

  211. way you worship will change when you have that true holy ghost experience in your

  212. life. I say she had a holy ghost experience in her life between child

  213. number three and child number four, because when she gave birth to number four,

  214. she named him Judah, which means I will be appraise her. I

  215. will praise you now, I will praise the Lord and all of judas is

  216. sinenus became known as praisers. Suddenly she became a woman of an agony and

  217. sorryful and God, just want somebody to love me, give me attention to

  218. something of going like, I don't care what they say about me, I

  219. don't care what they do toward me or against me, But I will praise

  220. you anyhow. I don't care how the stock market is, I don't care

  221. how my finances are, I don't care what's going on at work. I

  222. will praise you anyhow, because us God, you are my sorece, not

  223. man. I don't care what man says against me. Has actuallyation told me,

  224. I will choose to praise you anyhow. That's the experience that she had

  225. when she gave birth to Judah. Some things that I read about the tribe

  226. of Judah that I think is very interesting is the tribe of Judah is often

  227. mentioned separately from other tribes. Can I tell you something, When you start

  228. praising Jesus, you'll be separated from your problems. Also, when you start

  229. praising him, you're gonna be separated from negative people, because negative people ain't

  230. gonna hang around a praiser. One of the few tribes to return to God

  231. after captivity, and most of Israel's kings came from the line of Judah.

  232. Leah had learned to praise him anyhow. Can you say that with me?

  233. Praise him anyhow? Say it again? So when people start ignoring you,

  234. what are you gonna do? What promotion passes you by. Your children never

  235. call you anymore. You don't have anyone to help you out with the bills.

  236. You accused of something that you had nothing to do with. You don't

  237. have that hour glass figure, and your body's racked with pain. You have

  238. no money for food. You worked your whole life for a company. Now

  239. they're downsize you and you get the pink slip. Your friends and family don't

  240. understand or have anything to do with you because your relationship with God. Because

  241. to see when you pray, and it's important to pray, because God listens

  242. to you. But can I tell you something, when you start praising him,

  243. he seeks after you. He comes, findes with your He cannot stay

  244. away from a praiser. He has to come with you where you are.

  245. If you want to walk in favor, if you want to be blessed by

  246. God, let me tell you what you become a praiser. Don't just pray,

  247. but I'm talking praiser, or you just brag on God. You tell

  248. him who he is to you or what he's done for you. You give

  249. thanks to him. Because you've got to understand that favor cannot stay away from

  250. a praiser, and you got to understand, well, who exactly who am

  251. I praising? You understand he's Jehovah God. Can I tell you some things

  252. about him? That it's a god. He is the god of the universe.

  253. He is the CEO of this earth. Do you realize that wind cannot

  254. even blow without his permission? Lightning cannot flash unless he blinks his eyes.

  255. Thunder will not roar until he opens his mouth. Floodwaters will not come until

  256. he nods his head. That's a Jehovah God that you're praising. Thunder can

  257. only roar when he opens his mouth. He releases the rain from the sky.

  258. Now when he creates a snowflake, he creates a snowflake. Individual.

  259. He said, you did not vote me in, so therefore you cannot vote

  260. me out because I am God. He says, you didn't appoint me,

  261. so therefore you cannot disappoint me because I am Jehovah God. He says,

  262. I am the boss, and says, I am the boss. You cannot

  263. fire me. That's the God. I'm saying that you need to just start

  264. praising him and bragging on him about My mind goes back to a story that

  265. I heard that happened. Back in the nineteen forties, there was a lady

  266. by the name of Amy Simple macpherson. Some of you may have heard of

  267. her and some may not. She was the founder of the Fourth Square denomination,

  268. like the Simons of God, it was four Square. It was founded

  269. out in California, in Los Angeles, California. In fact, the Dream

  270. Centers out there is now have taken over what was her Bible school and her

  271. church out there. But back in the forties, fifties and sixties, they

  272. were evangelists that travel around and they set up these big revival tints and there

  273. was people like or Roberts and AA Allen, and of course there was Amy

  274. Si McPherson. She said that she had set a tent up and it was

  275. packed out with several thousand people. She said she stood on the platform.

  276. When she stood on the platform, she said, I opened my eyes and

  277. when I did, I look looked out at the tent and there were black,

  278. hooded demons that had surrounded the tent. She said. My first response

  279. was fear griped my heart. But then I said, you have no power

  280. over me, Satan, and God spoke to me and said, just start

  281. praising me. She said, I closed my eyes and I lifted my hands

  282. and I said, God, you are Jehovah. You are the CEO of

  283. the universe. And she said I looked up, and when I did,

  284. the demons took a step back. She said, I said, you are

  285. my Alpha and my Omega. That demons took another step back. She said,

  286. you are the beginning and the end. You are my salvation, said,

  287. the demons took another step back. She said, I said, God,

  288. there's none other God above you. You are the only one. And

  289. she said, suddenly I begin to see around the tent white hooded angels that

  290. began to take a step forward. And she said, the more I bragged

  291. on him, the more I called out his name, She said, the

  292. angels took a step forward, until suddenly I looked around and surrounded around all

  293. the people were white angelic beings. Can I tell you that's all you need

  294. to do. When the devil's come into your mind, he's trying to torment

  295. your mind. He's trying to tell you things that's not true about yourself,

  296. that it will never happen. You're gonna be defeated, You're never going to

  297. get where you want to go. Can I tell you you just begin to

  298. brag on God and the Satan has to leave because say, you've got to

  299. understand. The reason the enemy wants to get to your mind is because Satan

  300. was created as a worshiper in heaven. When he was kicked out, so

  301. was worship created that was created was kicked out. But God said, that's

  302. okay, I'm gonna find a group of people. I'm gonna find some people

  303. in Houston, Texas. I'm gonna find a group of people at Legacy that

  304. when they come to church and on Monday and on Tuesday and Wednesday, they're

  305. gonna open their mouth and they're gonna praise Me all week long. And said,

  306. that's going to replace the worship in heaven that was kicked out with Satan.

  307. That's the reason Satan wants to get to your mind. That's the reason

  308. Satan wants to steal your praise because he said, if I can steal your

  309. praise, then I can remove praise out of heaven. Because Satan understands the

  310. power of the words that's in your mouth when you open and praise him.

  311. Reminds me of the story that I heard about this little lady. She'd gone

  312. to a Bible study. She was so excited about going to Bible study and

  313. praying with her friends. She returns home, and when she returns home,

  314. she notices that her door is a jar, and she goes, I know

  315. I locked this door, but it's open. She walks in, and when

  316. she walks in, there's this big, old burly guy, probably three hundred

  317. pounds, robbing her. Here's this little ninety pound lady made her so mad.

  318. She says, devil, I tell you what this makes me mad.

  319. I've been at church, I've been praying, I've been interceding, and while

  320. I've been doing that, you sent the devil in to steal my stuff.

  321. She looked at that guy. He said, She said to him, acts

  322. two thirty eight your sins. Suddenly, that big old burly guy just frozen

  323. his tracks and began to shiver all over. She says, buddy, you

  324. stay right there. I'm going to call the place. She walks over,

  325. gets her phone, calls nine one one, and the plice arrived. He

  326. had moved, He's frozen his tracks. The policemen walk in. They look

  327. at this little ninety pounds old lady. They looked this big, old,

  328. burly guy, and they're thinking this makes absolutely no sense. He could take

  329. her out with one hand. Said ma'am, what did you say to this

  330. guy? She said, I told him acts two thirty eight repent of your

  331. sins. The policeman kind of looked puzzled and walked over and said, uh,

  332. sir, all this lady said to you, was she quoted you a

  333. scripture? Said no, sir, she didn't. She looked at me and

  334. told me she had an axe in two thirty eights. Said if I wasn't

  335. about to move, well, can I tell you something? When you get

  336. full of the Holy Ghost, he gives you an axe, and two thirty

  337. eight is to lose on use on the devil. The devil cannot get to

  338. your mind. He can't get to your family because you have a Holy Ghost

  339. axe two thirty eighths, and some of you need to start using it and

  340. quit using a BB gun or a water pistol and realize you've got an axe

  341. and you got through thirty eight to use against the devil. My mind goes

  342. back to back where I live, just the town over before I live,

  343. the lady that travels with me when I speak there was a tornady that was

  344. headed to their city, and her and her children had gone to take them

  345. home to their kid's house. They started back and her husband calls her and

  346. says, get back to the house because there's a tarnad heading straight to that

  347. subdivision. They get back in that house and they can hear it roaring.

  348. They all hover in the bathroom. They're all getting in the bathtub, and

  349. in the bathroom, said her son begin to say, we're gonna die.

  350. We're gonna die. We're God like Mama. I love you, and Honey,

  351. I love you, and SISI, I love you. Okay, We're

  352. just gonna die together. Everything, And she said, her daughter said,

  353. this makes me mad. She said that tornado has no authority over me because

  354. I'm full of the holy ghosts and when I speak to that mountain, it

  355. has to obey and it has to move. Says. I got up,

  356. and she said, I got up. I went to the front door and

  357. I swung it open. She said, I saw that that tornado is coming

  358. toward me. And I said, you listen to me. You have no

  359. power over me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. The word says

  360. for me to speak to my mountain. You have to move now. I

  361. command you to move right now. Do you hear me? Move right now?

  362. She said, Jehovah, God, I give you praise for the authority

  363. you're taking over that tornado. Can I tell you what happened that tornado?

  364. It went around their house. Seventy five people were killed in that neighborhood.

  365. Not one thing was happened to their house. You gotta realize the power you

  366. have inside of you. The devil tries to belittle you and make you think

  367. that reminds you of the things that you've done or should have done, to

  368. make you feel so little of yourself, Like how could God love me?

  369. Because I've disappointed him so many times? But you got to realize the blood

  370. worshs it away, and when you get the holy ghosts inside of you,

  371. you have a power that's inside of you that there's not a weapon that any

  372. devil can throw against you that can prosper. Just like he's talking about the

  373. Hebrew children. I don't care what fire the devil tries to throw you in.

  374. There's always that third person that's in there with you. Now here's what's

  375. interesting about this story. Fact to Jacob, he's on his dying bed,

  376. and on his dying bed, here's what he tells his family. Don't bury

  377. me in Egypt. He said, I want you to take me back to

  378. Canaan, and here's where I want you to bury me. He tells him

  379. exactly the tomb in the place he wants to be buried in. Can I

  380. tell you who was buried there and who was not buried there? Rachel was

  381. not buried there. Leah was buried there. And that's something. All the

  382. way up to his death bed, he realized Leah was a God send to

  383. me. There was something different about her. And when I die, take

  384. me back and buried be where she is. Don't become impatient with God,

  385. his timing and his methods. One night, when I went to bed,

  386. i'd worked on this message, and I was laying there, it was called,

  387. like God, what did Leah say? What did she pray to you?

  388. What happened that had that turnaround? That she went from a murmuring,

  389. griping, complaining woman to a praiser, a Jehovah God worshiper. And suddenly

  390. these thoughts begin to come in my mind. And I got it from got

  391. a pencil on paper, and I wrote it down, and I think it's

  392. in your notes now. I call it Leah's prayer, says Lord, I

  393. thought you gave me Jacob to be my lover, my husband, the father

  394. of my children. Little did I know I was designed to bring forth Judah,

  395. the lintage of Jesus, the Messiah, the son of God. Lord,

  396. forgive me for being selfish and living for myself. For I know now

  397. that I was created to worship you. Just think this. She became the

  398. great great great grandmother. That's the Messiah. You know, there's gonna be

  399. things in your life that happened that's gonna seem unfair. People are gonna treat

  400. you unjustly, but understand, get this one word in your spirit. First

  401. of all, they will stand before God for their action. I remember when

  402. the Lord spoke that to me. My response to him was, God,

  403. you go get them, because they're gonna deserve everything you did for them.

  404. Y'all probably don't have that attitude I did. I even said, you know

  405. that bowl of fire and brimstone on Judgment Day? Can I hold it?

  406. Can I dump it on every one of their heads? Because I'm talking about

  407. you know, Pastory Church, we have people that love us, and all

  408. of sudden, one day they get offended and they're gone, you know,

  409. and it hurts you and it breaks your heart and everything. He said,

  410. you know what, those people are long gone. They're not even thinking about

  411. you. You're still letting them affect you. He said, Are they worth

  412. losing your joy over? Nope? Are they worth losing your crown over?

  413. Were they? Are they worth losing your soul over? I said no?

  414. He said, just remember, they will stand before me for their action,

  415. the more important you will stand before me for your reaction to their action.

  416. I said, oh God, they are not worth me being judged over.

  417. They're not worth me losing my crown over. They're not worth me losing my

  418. salvation over. I release them to you. I begin to pray over them

  419. for God to bless them, because I realized if they were not walking in

  420. His will the prayers I prayed over them, they just gonna come back to

  421. me. I want to conclude with this statement. You have been beautiful,

  422. rooted, rooted in Him, the CEO of the universe. You were not

  423. created to live in the shadow of anyone or anything. Hold your head up

  424. high. You are blessed and you are highly favored because you are the child

  425. of the most High God. Now I think this is the last thing on

  426. your notes that says no longer are you going to allow your past to dictate

  427. to your future. You have a paper that's in your insert in your notes

  428. once you get it out, it's a picture of a burning bridge. Not

  429. conclude with this. Well, you take me a couple of minutes. I've

  430. heard the saying about burn the bridges, burn the bridges, and I thought,

  431. what does exactly mean? Because somebody I said to you, you just

  432. need to burn the bridges, Like, exactly what does burn the bridges mean?

  433. Now? I looked it up and it said burning a bridge goes back

  434. to the old battle days in earlier times, if an army crossed the bridge

  435. and then burned it, anyone following them would be stuck on the other side

  436. of the river or the ravine or whatever they crossed. And I thought that

  437. is fantastic, and I wrote this down. It's no turning back, says

  438. I am moving on, never to come this way again. This is what

  439. I'm challenging with you today, that we're going to burn some bridges and there's

  440. gonna be no turning back. You're not going back to where you once were.

  441. The burn the bridges forces one to plow ahead without any hope of returning

  442. this way again. When you burn a bridge, you cannot cross back over

  443. it because it's no longer there. I want you to get your paper that

  444. has the bridge on it, and if you don't have one, just wave

  445. your hands and maybe the ushers can help you, because I want everybody.

  446. Here's one on the front row. Just wave your hand. I want you

  447. to get your pencil out. You may have to borrow one, you may

  448. have to share one. But here's what we're going to do on this bridge.

  449. I want you to write. As I was preaching, the Lord began

  450. to show you certain shadows in your life. It may go back to childhood

  451. that you've never let go. It may be something that happened at work,

  452. or it could be with a family member, or it could be just with

  453. yourself. You deal with fear, or you deal with anxiety or stress,

  454. or maybe you have sickness in your body. I don't know what it is,

  455. but the Holy Ghost does, and he's speaking to you right now.

  456. I want you to write on this paper the bridge bridge bridges that are you

  457. gonna burn today. And here's what I want you to do, my prayer

  458. partners. I want to after you've written, if you didn't do it for

  459. a service, if you've written yours on there, I want you to come

  460. and stand up to the front and here's what we're gonna do. Because not

  461. everybody will finish at the same time. That's okay, take as long as

  462. you mean. We have the rest of the afternoon. Okay, here's what

  463. I want you to do. I want you to take that paper and you've

  464. written the bridges that you're gonna burn, and you're gonna bring it up to

  465. your prayer partner that's up here. We're not gonna pray long prayers. We're

  466. not going to annoy it. All we're gonna do together. You place it

  467. in their hands, and together, I want you to say, burn the

  468. bridge. Say that with me. Say it again. Okay. I want

  469. you to say it like you mean it.
