  1. Welcome to Burning Lamb Podcast A daily refresh

  2. for your life Jesus is the center of everything

  3. we do Burning Lamb Church So on this day we're

  4. going to continue with a very special series.

  5. The Lord has been teaching us on how to abide

  6. in Him. This has been a series that has transformed

  7. our hearts, our character, and He has given us

  8. the key tools to be able to remain in this walk.

  9. What a week we had of abiding in Him. of Christ,

  10. right? Everything happened. For the church, it's

  11. very important to be aware of the times. If the

  12. church isn't aware of the times, then we become

  13. irrelevant. We stop being the salt of this world.

  14. And the Lord called us to be that. And that is

  15. why it's so important to be aware. Because your

  16. prayer is important. Because your voice on this

  17. earth is important. Because each one of us that

  18. are here, we carry a point of influence in our

  19. surroundings. You carry power within you. This

  20. week we had a very sad news about a A brother

  21. in the faith. He was assassinated. He was silent.

  22. Through hate. Through the way of not being able

  23. to tolerate him. But his voice has been a very

  24. prophetic. prophetic voice on this nation, especially

  25. in universities and schools, where the Word of

  26. God was preached without any compromise. It wasn't

  27. compromised. the evidence of Jesus was proven.

  28. And now this is the time for the church to arise.

  29. This is the time for you and I to assume our

  30. position. Today is the day the Lord is calling

  31. us from a place of comfort. Because it has been

  32. enough, our point of... of comfort, where we

  33. have heard more the sound of the world. And it's

  34. time for the church to rise and speak. This is

  35. the time for the church to rise up and speak.

  36. Today, let's go to John 15. So we're going to

  37. start from verse four forward. John chapter 15

    John 15:4

  46. ustedes dan mucho fruto y muestran así that are

  47. my disciples. Just as the Father has loved me,

  48. I have also loved you. Stay in my love. If you

  49. obey my commandments, you will remain in my love.

  50. Just as I have obeyed the commandments of my

  51. Father and I remain in his love. les he dicho

  62. a ustedes y ustedes no me escogieron a mí sino

  63. que yo los escogí a ustedes y los comisioné para

  64. que vayan y den fruto y fruto que perdure y así

  65. el padre le dará todo lo que pidan en mi nombre

  66. ese es mi mandamiento que se amen los unos a

  67. los otros you could read it in English. Okay,

  68. so we're going to go to John 15, chapter 15,

  69. verse 4. Abide in me, and I in you, as the branch

  70. cannot bear fruit of itself. Unless it abides

  71. in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide

  72. in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He

  73. who abides in me, and I in him, bears much fruit,

  74. for without me you can do nothing. If anyone

  75. does not abide in me, he is cast out as a branch

  76. and is withered, and gather them and throw them

  77. in the fire and they are burned. If you abide

  78. in me and my words abide in you, you will ask

  79. whatever you desire, and it shall be done for

  80. you. By this my Father is glorified, that you

  81. bear much fruit, so you will be my disciples.

  82. And as the Father loved me, I have also loved

  83. you, abiding my love. If you keep my commandments,

  84. you will abide in my love, just as I have kept

  85. my Father's commandments. and I abide in his

  86. love. These things I have spoken to you that

  87. my joy may remain in you and that your joy may

  88. be full. This is my commandment that you have

  89. done, that you have loved one another as I have

  90. loved you. Greater love has no one than this.

  91. than to lay down one's life for his friend. You

  92. are my friends if you do whatever I command you.

  93. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant

  94. does not know what his master is doing. But I

  95. have called you my friends for all the things

  96. that I have heard my father and I have made known

  97. to you. You did not choose me, but I have chose

  98. you and appointed you that you should go and

  99. bear fruit and that your fruit should remain.

  100. That whatever you ask my father in my name, he

  101. may give you. These things I command. that you

  102. love one another. If the world hates you, you

  103. know that it hated me before it hated you. If

  104. you were of this world, the world would love

  105. its own, yet because you're not of this world,

  106. but I chose you out of the world, therefore the

  107. world hates you. Remember the word that I said

  108. to you, a servant is not greater than the master.

  109. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute

  110. you. If they keep my word, they will keep yours

  111. also. but all these things they will do to you

  112. for my name's sake because they do not know me

  113. who sent me I had not come and spoken to you

  114. they have come they have no sin but now they

  115. have no excuse for their sin he who hates me

  116. hates my father also Lord we honor the saints

  117. of your word this morning. We pray that this

  118. word is planted in our being. So in John 15 there

  119. are instructions of eternal life for you and

  120. I. It's a word that will forever remain fresh

  121. and it will be a reminder for our lives. That's

  122. why the Word of God doesn't change. That's why

  123. it remains forever and ever. And it will always

  124. be as effective. But we're going to break this

  125. down a bit. It says abiding me. This word abide

  126. comes from the word menos. It means to remain

  127. constant. That's what the Lord was telling the

  128. church and His disciples. Stay firm. Remain constant.

  129. But there is something that I like here. It says

  130. stay firm with the ability to withhold. To bear.

  131. To resist a strike. So Jesus wasn't just saying,

  132. so remain here by me and let's just be friends.

  133. And let's just chill. Let's just soak in the

  134. presence. He was saying, abiding me in a firm

  135. way, with strength, with the ability to bear.

  136. Because in the days to come, you're going to

  137. need this. The word meno also means to remain

  138. without mixtures So the Lord was telling the

  139. church remain pure with the message of the gospel

  140. It's enough with so many mixtures that we have

  141. nowadays. Back then they also had mixtures. Is

  142. the Father worshipped here or there? Is this

  143. the way, this is not the way? But the message

  144. of Jesus when He says to remain, It says to remain

  145. to My words and do not mix them. Do not interpret

  146. these your own way. Abide in Me just as I abide

  147. in you. It says He who does not abide in Me is

  148. withered. That's a strong word. When you cast

  149. someone out, it's not that you keep somebody

  150. away from you. That word to be cast, it comes

  151. from a word that means, To be cast to the care

  152. of another. So in other words he would say, you're

  153. no longer under my care. Who do you think he

  154. was casting them to the care of who? This is

  155. a strong word. It says, he who does not abide

  156. in me is cast. He's given to the care of another.

  157. If you abide in Me and My words, and when He

  158. says My words, it refers to the word Rema. It

  159. means the words or sayings of the mouth of God,

  160. what Jesus was teaching us, without a self -interpretation.

  161. It is what it is. Let's not try to get a leg

  162. to the cat. Let's not try to complicate the Gospel.

  163. When Jesus made it so simple, There are very

  164. clear instructions, abide in me and I in you.

  165. And here there is a very key word and we spoke

  166. about this during the pre -retreat. The word

  167. abide here, it makes reference to the word union.

  168. This word union is as though you mix two particles

  169. to the point that you're not able to recognize

  170. the former nature of that. So abide in me, function

  171. in me, let's become one, and there won't be any

  172. memory of the past. You mix water with red ink,

  173. you mix it. When you mix that water, what color

  174. does the water become? Red, right? If you say

  175. green, we're gonna pray for you. So when you

  176. mix it together, it becomes red. When you see

  177. the red water, can you see how the water looked

  178. like before? There is no way to see the division.

  179. That's what Jesus was referring to, that when

  180. they see Him, they see Him. That when they see

  181. us, they see Jesus. Jesus, he speaks about re

  182. -abiding in him and about the vine. He says,

  183. I am the vine and you are the branches. So let's

  184. see a vine here. This is a vine. The grapes are

  185. the fruit. You can see the branch. Right? If

  186. you see the branch, it looks like this. And from

  187. the branches, something comes out. And from that,

  188. then you see a fruit. So the fruit doesn't even

  189. come out directly from the branch. It says, you

  190. are the branches. But the fruit, you don't bear

  191. the fruit. The fruit is connected to something

  192. else. That's why nowadays we have a very frustrated

  193. church, trying to produce fruit. Jesus is very

  194. specific when He relates us to life. You are

  195. the branches, and I am the vine. But if you see

  196. something there, there is something that is really

  197. producing the fruit. Nowadays the church is so

  198. tired of trying to produce, but we can do this

  199. on our own strength. When we talk about abiding

  200. in Him, this is making reference to a union that

  201. is a constant and growing relationship. It doesn't

  202. speak as though it is an event. Like we connect

  203. to the vine when we are in a service. When you

  204. come to church, this is an event. An event does

  205. not produce fruit in your life. Glory to God

  206. for the conferences. Glory to God for the services.

  207. But if you don't have a relationship with the

  208. Son of God, there is no fruit that you can bear.

  209. Jesus makes a reference of a vine that is completely

  210. stuck to the tree. A vine and a branch. One is

  211. greater than the other. One gives life, a nutritious

  212. life. The necessary surroundings and environments

  213. so the other one can live. because of the tree.

  214. There is a branch. Nowadays we live in a culture

  215. where the center of everything is us. We do it

  216. for us and because of us. With motives that are

  217. hidden with a personal agenda. trying to produce

  218. fruit so they can see my tree. And you know how

  219. the Christians, they hide this. Oh, thanks to

  220. the Lord. Thank God. It was because of God. How

  221. much of this fruit is real by the Spirit of God

  222. and not by the human strength? Every good fruit

  223. is highlighted out of this union with the tree.

  224. A rotten tree cannot produce something good.

  225. That's why with our perfect union with the vine,

  226. with the tree which is God, we're able to produce

  227. good fruits. The fruits of the Spirit are for

  228. the earth. When we go to heaven we will need

  229. this. We're cultivating the gifts of the spirit,

  230. but we don't work with the fruits. We love the

  231. gift of the Spirit But we don't abide in the

  232. fruit of the Spirit The Lord is calling a generation

  233. that is able to carry the fruit of the Spirit

  234. of God That's why abiding in Him participants

  235. del fruto del espíritu de dios is that we're

  236. able to be partakers of the spirit of god galatas
