  1. We Are One church. We love God love.

  2. People love his mission and love his church.

  3. Welcome to the one Church podcast.

  4. Hello and welcome to this week's One Church podcast.

  5. My name is James and we are glad you could be with us in Matthew

  6. 7. We read these amazing words from

  7. Jesus. Anyone who listens to my

  8. teaching and follows it is wise like a person who builds a house

  9. on Solid Rock though. The rain comes in Torrance and

  10. the flood waters rise. And the wind's beat against that

  11. house it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock.

  12. Okay, but anyone who hears my teaching and doesn't the bet is

  13. foolish like a person who builds a house on son when the rains

  14. and floods came and the wind's beat against that house, it will

  15. collapse with a mighty crash, our prayer for you this week.

  16. Is that everything you do and all decisions that you make will

  17. have their foundation in Jesus? Here's the best place for us to

  18. start every part of our lives and now, in the last of our

  19. Pioneer message series, we have pasta, Susan, speaking to us

  20. from the Site enjoy and be blessed.

  21. Good morning everybody. It's so good.

  22. That the band of lead us to lead us towards Jesus this morning

  23. because I feel like that's my job today is to paint a picture

  24. of Jesus, the great Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith who was

  25. gone ahead of us. And we're going to paint a

  26. picture of him this morning and Inspire us to follow Jesus.

  27. The great Pioneer because that was what we are doing.

  28. Do you know it's good, isn't it? It to be in the hands of someone

  29. who knows what they're doing. It's good to follow someone who

  30. knows where they're going. Now, I remember a few years ago

  31. now, thinking I would do a bit of economizing.

  32. I thought Dave was going to be so proud of me because I'll save

  33. a bit of money. I'll get a Groupon deal to have

  34. my hair cut, so I went, I got this voucher and I went to find

  35. the place where I got this deal for, which I'd never heard

  36. before, it sounded really Posh and the pictures, look really

  37. lovely. And then it was turned out to be

  38. a bit of a back street, little tiny place.

  39. I remember going Into and feeling straight away, a bit of

  40. a sinking feeling in my stomach thinking there's nobody here

  41. there were no customers. There were also no hairdressers

  42. in the place, just a lady looking really bored behind a

  43. receptionist desk and I walked in and I said, I've got an

  44. appointment and this lady looks slightly freaked out.

  45. I saw her on the phone and there was a Hoover as well in the

  46. middle of the room, which I thought was a bit weird.

  47. I think, at that moment, why did I not just say?

  48. This is not going to work. I don't think this is for me and

  49. leave, but I didn't. Waited till this man arrived, he

  50. was a very strange, man. I have to say who ran in,

  51. explain to me why he was late and then began to sort of just

  52. lift my hair up and down. He didn't even really start

  53. cutting it and I thought he doesn't know what he's doing at

  54. all. I don't know if you even trained

  55. to be a hairdresser and suddenly felt very vulnerable.

  56. Now, I don't know why I didn't just stop and say something and

  57. leave but I ended up with a very strange haircut, it was very

  58. uneven and I had to go to another hairdressers.

  59. That day to have it done properly and that cost us twice

  60. as much. So it really wasn't an economy

  61. at all, but it's great to follow someone who knows what they're

  62. doing. Now, we've looked at being a

  63. Pioneer people. We've looked at stepping out at

  64. seeing the possibilities, and we had some amazing inspiration

  65. last week from Pastor David here, but you may say well, why?

  66. Why do it? Why why bother to be a Pioneer?

  67. Why step out of our cozy life? Why do I exert myself?

  68. Why am I going to step into unknown territory?

  69. Three. I'd rather not risk pain.

  70. I'd rather not risk. Rejection or risk, my finances

  71. or risk my future or discomfort or inconvenience or change.

  72. Well, today, we're going to look at some great amazing news

  73. because we have someone who is worth following.

  74. We have someone who is worth saying yes to, and if we say yes

  75. to following Jesus, we're not stepping really out into the

  76. unknown because he's gone ahead of us already.

  77. We're following the one who's gone ahead.

  78. Prepare the way for us. The one who is our perfect

  79. example, he's our comfort on. The journeys are constant

  80. inspiration. He is our ultimate reward.

  81. He's the reason that we risk it all he is the great Pioneer.

  82. So today is all about the wonderful, amazing, multifaceted

  83. Jesus. And we're going to look at him

  84. for a few different angles mainly through, a passage in

  85. Hebrews chapter 12. So, let's just read Hebrews. 12

Hebrews 12 chapter mention Hebrews 12:1

  86. verse 1, 2 3. Therefore, since we are

  87. surrounded. And by such a great cloud of

  88. witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the

  89. sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with

  90. perseverance, the race marked out for us.

  91. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Pioneer and Perfecter of faith

  92. for the joy set. Before him, he endured the

  93. cross. Scorning its shame and sat down

  94. at the right hand of the Throne of God, consider him who endured

  95. such opposition from Sinners, so that you will not grow weary and

  96. lose heart. Well Lord, we thank you for your

  97. word and we ask you to apply it right now into our lives with

  98. power. Thank you, Jesus.

  99. So the writer of Hebrews is here challenging the early believers

  100. who are facing persecution facing possible death and is

  101. also challenging. Us is saying, keep going enjoy,

  102. don't lose heart. Fix your eyes on Jesus follow

  103. him. The picture is a bit like a

  104. relay race. I wonder if you have ever run in

  105. a relay race. I remember a time back in

  106. primary school at school, I have to say, Say well even into later

  107. life, I was not a particularly good runner mainly because I

  108. tended towards the chubby side as a child I remember our school

  109. was split into four houses, what they called houses they were

  110. different colors and I was in the yellow one which was called

  111. killed as so, funny how you remember all these things from

  112. your childhood isn't it? And on this particular sports

  113. day that we had a relay race and because one team didn't have

  114. enough Runners and I wasn't chosen for my houses team

  115. surprise surprise I was asked to go and run for this other house.

  116. So I did, I really run my little heart out.

  117. I ran as fast as I possibly could.

  118. I didn't bother that. It wasn't my tear.

  119. I really ran hard, I thought I'd done really well.

  120. But I remember that evening at the shopping center being

  121. slammed against the advertising, hoardings by a big boy from The

  122. Blue Team which is the one I'd run for saying you didn't try

  123. just because it wasn't your team.

  124. You did it try. It was good.

  125. I did try. I tried my hardest but the

  126. writer he is saying he say, Saying this is like a real a

  127. ratio surrounded by the people who've gone before the ones

  128. who've proven their faith. If you read in Hebrews 11 the

  129. chapter before this you read about some of the heroes of the

  130. faith. They've run their stretch of the

  131. Christian race and they're passing the Baton to you and

  132. it's your turn to run. It's our turn to run.

  133. So every day we have a choice to make to say yes or no to step

  134. out or to shrink back. And here, we're just given that

  135. main motivation Our primary passion are real reason for

  136. running this race. We're giving this reason to

  137. muster courage in both hands, and to go for it because it's

  138. all about Jesus. It's all about Jesus.

  139. So, let's remind ourselves why follow him firstly, because of

  140. who he is, let us run with perseverance, the race marked

  141. out for us. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the

  142. Pioneer and Perfecter of Faith. Who is this?

  143. Jesus At the end of last year, I did a little study in my own

  144. devotions just because I was interested and I want something

  145. sparked it. I just wanted to look at the

  146. appearances of Jesus, All Through the Bible and there are

  147. surprising number of them. The prophet Isaiah sees Jesus in

  148. the temple, I saw the Lord, highly exalted, his robe filled

  149. the temple. Now we know it's Jesus because

  150. John and John eleven's says Isaiah said, this because he saw

  151. Jesus glory and spoke about him. Daniel sees a vision of him.

  152. Danielle's friends have him walk around with them in the fire

  153. prophet in the Old Testament. The Fourth Man.

  154. It says, looks like a son of the Gods, Unbound, and unharmed 1

  155. Corinthians. 10 tells us that the people of Israel were

  156. accompanied by Jesus through the desert.

  157. It says, they drank from the spiritual rock, that accompanied

  158. them and that rock was Christ. So many of those appearances,

  159. they just really inspired me. But the one that really got to

  160. me was in Revelation chapter 1, And here is Jesus in John's

    Revelation 1 chapter mention

  161. Vision in Revelation, this to me feels like me trying to paint a

  162. picture and I've got to use the words from the Bible because

  163. it's a bit like me trying to take a photo of a wonderful

  164. scene. I have you ever been on holiday

  165. and seen something beautiful and then try to take a photo of it

  166. to show your family back home or your friends.

  167. How amazing is taking it on your phone and it looks nothing like

  168. as great as it is in real life, especially when I take the photo

  169. I have to say that's where we true but Is Jesus and John's

  170. Vision, just just let the word sinking.

  171. This is the Jesus we follow. From John Grace and peace to

  172. you. I'm just going to read a few

  173. excerpts from him who is and who was, and who is to come from?

  174. Jesus Christ, who is the faithful, witness the firstborn

  175. from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth to him,

  176. who loved us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.

  177. Look, he is coming with the clouds and every eye will see

  178. him even those who pierced him and all the peoples of the earth

  179. will mourn because of him. So shall it?

  180. Be our men on the Lord's Day says John I was in the spirit

  181. and I heard behind me. A loud voice like a trumpet.

  182. I I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me

  183. and when I turned, I saw seven, golden lampstands and among the

  184. lampstands was someone like a son of man dressed in a robe

  185. reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his

  186. chest. His head and hair were white,

  187. like wool as white as snow and his eyes were like blazing fire.

  188. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace and his

  189. voice was like the sound of rushing waters in his right

  190. hand. He held Seven Stars and out of

  191. his mouth. Came a sharp double-edged sword.

  192. His face was like the sun shining in all its Brilliance.

  193. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.

  194. And then he placed his right hand on me and said, do not be

  195. afraid. I am the first and the last I am

  196. the living one. I was dead and behold.

  197. I am alive forever and ever. I hold the keys of death and

  198. Hades. Wonderful Jesus.

  199. The amazing ultimate pioneer. He's the one who began all

  200. things. He's the Pioneer.

  201. If you like of all things, He's the perfect or he'll bring this

  202. chapter of the world history to its close when he returns this

  203. world to establish his new perfect Kingdom.

  204. Amazing. And this is the same Jesus, we

  205. read about here, who's the Jesus?

  206. Who came to Earth? Who laughed?

  207. Who cried, who washed people's feet?

  208. And Jesus says to us, as he says, to his disciple, Peter in

  209. Matthew 16, who do you say that I am?

  210. And the question is, asking all of us today?

  211. Who do you say? I am?

  212. Because the way we view, Jesus will change everything else

  213. about our life is the most important thing about our life

  214. is to know what we believe, what we think, what we see about,

  215. Jesus. He's like a multi faceted

  216. Diamond. I was thinking of a jeweler

  217. looking at an amazing diamond and looking at it from all

  218. different angles and seeing Beauty in each one.

  219. And as we look at him from different angles, we can always

  220. see something new. And I was thinking even today,

  221. there is something in Jesus that we all need to grasp may be

  222. fresh for some of us here, we need to know a fresh as it says

  223. In this passage that he's holy and he is awesome.

  224. His head and hair were white, like wool as white as snow and

  225. his eyes like Seeing fire. Can we look into his blazing

  226. eyes today? Can we Face our sin?

  227. Can we not take it lightly? Can we see his blazing eyes

  228. looking into us? And then can we see his blazing

  229. eyes are full of love for us and full of grace for us saying that

  230. he's done everything for our forgiveness?

  231. Some of us need to know today, he's Our Redeemer.

  232. The price is paid will James has enjoyed 19?

  233. I know my redeemer lives and I will see him.

  234. Some of us need to see today. That he is our lover.

  235. So what we're all longing for us and that someone who will love

  236. us for who we are someone who will.

  237. Look at us with eyes are completely full of love

  238. compassion. That just say, I love you.

  239. I adore you. He's our lover.

  240. I'm my beloved says in Song of Songs and he is mine.

  241. Some of us need to see. He is our friend, maybe in our

  242. aloneness. We may be in a crowd but

  243. sometimes feel alone. Jesus says to us.

  244. He says, I no longer call you servants, but I call you my

  245. friends. He's our friend, some of us need

  246. a light and a guide, we need to know the way we need to know

  247. where we're going and Jesus says, I am the light of the

  248. world. If you follow me, you'll never

  249. live in darkness but will have the light of life.

  250. Some of us need a rock, he's the rock My Savior, A Healer Jesus

  251. went through Galilee. It says, in Matthew teaching,

  252. proclaiming healing every disease and illness.

  253. Among the people, every disease and illness your provider.

  254. He says, I am the bread of life and so much more Song of Songs,

  255. says he is altogether. Lovely.

  256. He's indescribable. I've been loving listening to a

  257. song by Phil Wickham over this over this weekend.

  258. Actually, I just played it again and again, it's called a

  259. thousand names and here's a little bit of it says you are

  260. the Rock of Ages. You are The Great.

  261. I Am Your the king forever, the beginning and the end your the

  262. Lord and servant, you're the son of man, you're the line of

  263. Judah. Your the Risen lamb your the

  264. second atom here to lead us home your yahweh's glory.

  265. Now revealed him flesh and Bone. Your ocean parter you will make

  266. away. You are death defeating you've

  267. risen from the grave. You are full of See, you are

  268. rich in love, you are Jesus Messiah, the one true God.

  269. I know you buy a thousand names and you deserve every single

  270. one. You've given me a million ways

  271. to be amazed at what you've done and I'm lost in.

  272. Wonder all you do I know you by 1000 names and I'll sing them

  273. back to you and you know that's what we do when we worship.

  274. We sing back to Jesus who he is and you know the more we do that

  275. the more we want to do that. If you want to want to praise

  276. more, then begin to praise and you will want to praise me.

  277. More, and You Begin to worship and you'll want to worship more.

  278. We follow Jesus because of who he is, but we also follow Jesus

  279. because of what he has done for the joy set before him.

  280. It says he endured the cross, scorning its shame and sat down

  281. at the right hand of the Throne of God.

  282. Jesus Is God who comes down. Something I noticed when I

  283. looked at all the appearances of Jesus, Through the Bible's all

  284. this common theme of Jesus coming down of God, rescuing his

  285. people and speaking to them and saving them.

  286. Do you know Jesus has already done everything and he won't ask

  287. us to do more in our lives than he's already done and done more.

  288. So if we feel a call to sacrifice in some way, he's

  289. sacrificed more, he did it to the uttermost.

  290. If we called to love, then which we all are, then he did it to

  291. the end and he says, he loved us to the end.

  292. If we call to travel well, he did, he travel from Heaven to

  293. Earth to save us if we call to overcome Temptation?

  294. Well, he did, and he never failed.

  295. He never sinned if we called to endure opposition.

  296. Well, he did and he stayed true. The passage says he endured the

  297. cross, he scorned it shame, he endured up position, he defeated

  298. death, he's the only one who could, and he sat down at the

  299. right hand of the Throne of God. So here's a question for

  300. everyone of us. Will we follow him?

  301. Will we follow him? Yeah.

  302. Well, we follow him into the next adventure of our life.

  303. Maybe some of us here today. Well, we follow him for the

  304. first time. Well, we step today into a

  305. relationship with Jesus and say I'm going to follow you with my

  306. life. The passage here.

  307. Also gives us some clues about how we will follow him how we

  308. can First it says, throw off, hindrances.

  309. Throw off everything that hinders nowadays.

  310. I focus more on rowing on a rowing machine in our garage.

  311. I love that. It's just been reconditioned and

  312. it's going like like a bomb. It's just great.

  313. It's quite hard work and I love walking but I used to do some

  314. jogging. Tom will remember when I was did

  315. a bit of training to do the half marathon in Notting and that was

  316. the peak of my achievements as a jogger.

  317. I would took a long, long time. But I And I didn't stop, that's

  318. good. But when I used to jog, I would

  319. carry my phone and a little bit of money or whatever.

  320. I needed in a little pouch around my waist, or I'd carry it

  321. in the pocket of a running jacket.

  322. And I would wear trainers, it would have been ridiculous,

  323. wouldn't it? If I had a decided to go out

  324. running wearing a heavy duffle coat and Wellington Boots

  325. because it would have really hold me back.

  326. And this is the sort of picture that the writer of Hebrews is

  327. saying here. He's saying travel light, It's

  328. speaking of weight carrying, excessive weight in our lives,

  329. holds us back, it hinders us, weighs us down, he's not

  330. necessarily here, talking about Sin.

  331. He's talking about things that would hold us back, maybe fear.

  332. Maybe some of us have specific fears in our life that hold us

  333. back from following Jesus to the next level.

  334. If you like in our life or maybe we just see ourselves as a

  335. generally, fearful person. And we would love to be rid of

  336. that sense of fear because we want to follow him.

  337. Can I just say though as well? That some of the most amazing

  338. things in the world have been done by people who did it

  339. scared? Who did it actually?

  340. While they were afraid and just stepped out and found out what

  341. Jesus could do? Saying really, I think, will you

  342. trust me? Will you throw it off unbelief

  343. that can hold us back? Mary is sideburns not here

  344. today. She's at her little

  345. granddaughters. First birthday weekend, she was

  346. so glowing this week. Having come back from a trip to

  347. Rwanda with mission 24 in what she described as a, quite a good

  348. mission. I'd say Mary's definition of

  349. quite a good Mission. I thought was amazing because

  350. she said there was about a thousand.

  351. People got saved every day in their Crusades.

  352. There's 15 of them went, they had some, they saw many

  353. instantaneous healings and she shared with us as a staff this

  354. week. Some of the incident healings

  355. that she saw personally, and we were talking about, well, what's

  356. the difference between there and here?

  357. What what is it? And she said, actually, we just

  358. preach Jesus. We just talked about Jesus and

  359. we didn't worry what I felt like we just said you know, Let Jesus

  360. do what Jesus does and we spoke with authority and I'm not sure

  361. you know, sometimes we say well the atmosphere is different over

  362. there and maybe it's cause there's not so much health care

  363. and all those sort of things. So people want to believe more

  364. for healing. Well what whatever reasons?

  365. Let's just keep preaching Jesus because we want to see him do

  366. amazing things. And we know he can, we know he

  367. will, but let's throw off unbelief.

  368. Let's throw off restrictions and tentativeness and be more bold.

  369. This is something I'm praying for My own life at the moment.

  370. What about the past, the things from our pasta in, may need to

  371. get rid of bags that we are. Carrying that hold us back, that

  372. awaits, that hold us down in the passion version of this passage.

  373. There's the idea there of an arrowhead left inside.

  374. There's a footnote that says something about the word could

  375. mean that youíve been pierced with arrows, but something of

  376. that. Arrow is stuck inside and it's

  377. holding us back. Well there, any remnants still

  378. in you that are causing damage that holding you back?

  379. It could be a pain of abuse in the past, or rejection, or some

  380. Trauma from your childhood, even It's time to throw it off.

  381. There was a great example of our at the Mina and it is wedding

  382. yesterday. Many of you heard his story when

  383. he shared in a together service last year about his relationship

  384. with his dad, and how they had to be much forgiveness and

  385. healing from that. And yesterday, there was a part

  386. of the service where they were sharing cake with people, and it

  387. was like, we literally feeding into their mouth, where you see?

  388. I'm a dick and Amina. Go straight up to a dicks,

  389. father. And it's Dad and feed him cake

  390. and honor him. That was amazing.

  391. So, let's bring to the Cross. Any hindrances any baggage and

  392. break its power right. Now, I'm going to even right

  393. now. Do you want to do that?

  394. If you, if you feel, you're carrying any weight, any of

  395. those things I've mentioned or other things.

  396. Let's just, let's just pray right now.

  397. And maybe just say Lord, I bring this thing to the cross, I bring

  398. it to the Cross right now. I'll bring it to the cross.

  399. And you can say yourself, you can say I break its power over

  400. me. In Jesus name, I break its power

  401. over me. In Jesus name, I declare myself

  402. free in Jesus name. Amen.

  403. My man, you know, Jesus is handing out the prison keys

  404. today. He's handing out the keys for us

  405. to be set free, but we have to actually use them.

  406. Throw off entanglements as well. It says here, another key to

  407. following Jesus and the sin that so easily.

  408. Entangles. Our this is talking about Sin.

  409. My lovely eldest granddaughter Annabelle's just had quite a bit

  410. of her hair cut off. So it's a bit quite a bit

  411. shorter. Have to say, for me, that's a

  412. little bit of a relief because once a week most weeks, we have

  413. them to stay overnight and they and we take them to school in

  414. the morning and that has involved often doing their hair

  415. and I have got a reputation with our granddaughters where they

  416. will say, To me. But me my your you only had boys

  417. and so you're not very good at doing girls hair.

  418. So I've got a bit of a reputation.

  419. So I have to say, I've been very sad.

  420. I've been actually watching some YouTube videos on how to do

  421. hair. You wouldn't believe how many

  422. people just sit in their bedroom in front of their mirror and put

  423. it onto the into that. Like here you'd it has how you

  424. do curling and how you do this on the other?

  425. It's a whole other world, but hopefully Annabelle's hair won't

  426. get. So knotted and won't have

  427. tangles in it because it's a bit shorter or bit easier to do.

  428. Do. And this is a little bit of a

  429. picture of the tangling side of sin, because sin is Insidious

  430. sometimes. Yes, Temptation comes to us

  431. head-on, but it's easier to recognize that it's easier to

  432. resist. But so often it creeps up and

  433. before we know where we are, we're entangled.

  434. Maybe we're hooked on a habit, that draws us into much more

  435. than we signed up. For, maybe we're addicted to a

  436. TV series. That is actually spoiling the

  437. purity of our thoughts, maybe were drawn to read stuff.

  438. That's are eroding. Our sense of what's right or

  439. wrong. Maybe were believing lies that

  440. are spoken by people around us. Maybe we're being slowly drawn

  441. towards a relationship that we know is not, right?

  442. I wonder. If you've ever walked through

  443. rough undergrowth, I sometimes go for it when I go for dog

  444. walks, I end up taking. King like, oh, that's a nice

  445. shortcut and end up sometimes. Getting entangled in Briars and

  446. bushes and hedges. And so on, that means that

  447. things get onto your clothes that they and they get hold of

  448. you and sometimes I have to pull it away and your coat might get

  449. torn or something gets damaged and it's a bit like a picture

  450. Sin Sin, entangles us. It trips us up the answer being

  451. given to us here is stay on the path and if we have wandered

  452. From the Path, if we know that we need to get back to it, I

  453. would just encourage Encourage us.

  454. Jesus is here is not let go of you but come back on to the path

  455. today. This morning stay on the path

  456. marked out for us as the writer here.

  457. Stay in the word. Stay close to a friend as we had

  458. last week. Stay on the path.

  459. And keep running run with perseverance.

  460. We've talked about that already. Just keep going.

  461. Sometimes that's all he's saying is keep going.

  462. Nowhere boundaries the race marked out for you.

  463. Says the writer here, this is a personal race.

  464. There's a place for you, find your place in life and your

  465. place in the body of Christ, find your place in church and

  466. don't get worked up about it. Go with the portion of the race

  467. that, you know, Jesus is marked out for you now.

  468. Think about what do you love to do?

  469. Where do you feel alive and use that to bless others.

  470. Use that in the kingdom of God. Can I just say, you know, as we

  471. go forward. Thank you to those who serve and

  472. we're going to need more people involved in serving even here in

  473. central as we go to two services and thank you.

  474. For those who already are signing up to say, we're going

  475. to play our part be fully focused on Jesus.

  476. We've covered that already fixing our eyes on Jesus,

  477. consider him who endured such opposition from Sinners and stay

  478. strong. Wrong.

  479. So that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

  480. How do we do it by fixing our eyes on Jesus?

  481. I want this to be the thing. We take away more than anything.

  482. Today, we're fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Pioneer, the

  483. Perfecter the beginning, the end, the alpha, the Omega, he's

  484. the one who was there. At the start, is the one who

  485. will be there at the end, and he's like that in our lives as

  486. well. Be confident in following him.

  487. I wonder, will you follow this Jesus because of who he is

  488. because of what? He's done.

  489. Confident that he's our great Pioneer.

  490. He goes ahead. He's done it all where we just

  491. say yes to whatever. He's asking of us, we had a

  492. verse when we did our vision, had our vision offering a few

  493. months ago. And we did talk about the verse,

  494. where Mary says to the people at the wedding in Cana, she says do

  495. whatever he tells you And this is really all Jesus is asking of

  496. us is do whatever he tells you, but it involves saying yes.

  497. And I wonder where you say, yes to what he's asking of you, and

  498. if you want to know your call, if you say, well what's my

  499. destiny? This is how we know.

  500. We just do it. We just know it by a thousand

  501. small yeses in our lives. It's the yes.

  502. I'll call that person. Yes, I will Jesus.

  503. Yes, I'll obey that command. That's in your word that I read

  504. today. Yes, I'll Revitalize.

  505. My Potion times with you. Yes, I'll keep going.

  506. Yes, I'll stop doing that. Yes, I'll start doing that.

  507. I will whatever he says to you do it and, you know, gradually

  508. our neural Pathways will get realigned gradually, our

  509. character will get refined. Gradual, our destiny will get

  510. defined and it won't be led by Massive markers.

  511. Massive moments. So much, as by many, many little

  512. ones where we say yes to Jesus. And what about can I challenge

  513. us to do something? Even more daring than that?

  514. To say, yes. Before we know what?

  515. He's asking us to do, this is an unconditional.

  516. Yes, where we just say to Jesus? My answer is yes.

  517. Now, what's the question? What might happen?

  518. If, every Christian in the world said an unconditional?

  519. Yes to Jesus, there are billions of us.

  520. If we stepped into the unknown and became true Pioneers, maybe

  521. they'll be an unexplained shift in the world's economy.

  522. Suddenly it will be readjusted and redistributed there.

  523. Be an outbreak of reconciliation and restoration of

  524. relationships. Maybe Amazon profits would go

  525. down. Because Christians may stop

  526. buying what we don't need. Maybe there'd be more happiness

  527. because we were working more closely with Jesus who has the

  528. oil of joy. Millions would turn to Jesus,

  529. because we'd start sharing our faith boldly and Jesus will be

  530. recognized as Lord, in our schools, and our streets in our

  531. cities. Can I challenge us?

  532. Let's start living as Christians.

  533. Let's start living as those who are little Christ's who follow

  534. Jesus and take him as an example to follow the great pioneer. and

  535. he is a great comfort because Jesus says my sheep, Listen to

  536. my voice. I know them and they follow me.

  537. Can I say we follow someone who was a Shepherd who's gone ahead

  538. of us, and he knows us, he knows you.

  539. He knows me, he knows how he made us, he knows our name, our

  540. thoughts, our feelings, our strengths, our weaknesses, our

  541. dreams our fears, and he loves us.

  542. It's amazing. Is it to sit like and stand here

  543. and say he loves me and you can say, whatever the sacrifice.

  544. We can feel secure and confident when we follow Jesus into what

  545. might seem to us the unknown. Wonderful.

  546. Jesus. I just want to speak to anyone

  547. in the room today. I know there's someone here and

  548. your healing hearing Jesus, calling you saying, like I said

  549. to the early disciples, follow me, follow me, you're going to

  550. hear some stories in a bit of people who made that choice to

  551. follow Jesus. When he called to them.

  552. Why not make that decision right now in your seat before we hear

  553. those stories? So you can go out of here.

  554. A new person, a New Creation With Jesus, who will be with you

  555. every step of your life and take you into.

  556. Eternity, you'll never face the Judgment that you deserve to

  557. face because we've all sinned. We've all fallen short of the

  558. glory of God and yet God sent Jesus to be that ultimate

  559. sacrifice so that we could be forgiven.

  560. And that is wonderful news. That's why it's called good

  561. news. So I'm going to pray a little

  562. prayer. I wonder if all of us, even if

  563. we know Jesus already. Let's pray it together.

  564. And if you don't yet know him, I'd like you to really make sure

  565. you pray this even out loud in your seat and Jesus will hear

  566. you. So why did he pray after me?

  567. Lord Jesus. I hear your call to follow you.

  568. But I am a sinner. And I need a savior.

  569. I ask you to forgive me. I asked you to cleanse me and I

  570. give my life to you. I want to follow you and I thank

  571. you that you love me. Come into my life. there's

  572. anybody here who prayed that prayer for the first time, I'm

  573. just asking you to if that's you to raise your hand where you

  574. are, was somebody will see that and then I'll come and see you

  575. at the end just to make sure that you know, A little bit of

  576. what's been happening in your life.

  577. Great. Thank you.

  578. You see that hand over there. That's wonderful.

  579. So you make sure you make yourself known to somebody at

  580. the end and we will sit with you and just give you something to

  581. help you in your journey going forward.

  582. Wonderful brilliant. Let's start with welcome my

  583. sister into the kingdom of God. That's brilliant.

  584. So since we are surrounded by such a great, cloud of

  585. witnesses, let us throw off, you deciding today to throw off

  586. anything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles,

  587. us. Somebody here needs to know

  588. you're forgiven today. You've been doing something, you

  589. know, is wrong but just as you've come back to him today

  590. and said, sorry, he's completely forgiven.

  591. You, you don't need to say sorry.

  592. Again, you just need to do live differently, turn away from it.

  593. And let us run with perseverance, the race marked

  594. out for us. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the

  595. Pioneer and Perfecter of faith for the joy set, before him, he

  596. endured the cross, scorning, its shame sat down at the right hand

  597. of the Throne of God, consider him who endured such opposition

  598. from Sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

  599. whatever he says to you when I say yes, Thank you, Pastor

  600. season for that wonderful message.

  601. And if you've decided that you want to follow Jesus today, we

  602. would love to pray with you and help you on your journey.
