  1. Gosh, I just wonder if we should have

  2. just got Daniela to preach this morning.

  3. E, like how good was uh that?

  4. Awesome. Well, we are into uh week three

  5. of a series that uh is called Bold and

  6. uh the subtitle is about finding your

  7. voice. And uh in Proverbs it tells us

  8. that the righteous are as bold as a

  9. lion. And uh we we we wanted to start

  10. that foundationally that when we're

  11. coming to boldness and finding your

  12. voice, there are a lot of places in

  13. society that would encourage us to find

  14. our voice. You do you. Be the real you.

  15. Just express who you really are. And so

  16. we we we we're starting off by saying,

  17. "Hey, no, scripture actually says the

  18. righteous are as bold as a lion." So

  19. we're not actually leaning into a

  20. humanistic way of becoming bold, but we

  21. are actually being invited in to our

  22. identity as believers in Christ that we

  23. are to be bold. And so we've been

  24. talking, what does that look like in our

  25. lives? And uh we've been looking into

  26. this Greek word that is paracia. Can we

  27. have that up on the screen? And so it

  28. really means like an unreserved speech.

  29. So regularly in the New Testament, this

  30. word is translated bold. But really what

  31. it's talking about is the ability to be

  32. bold in the way we speak. And uh so

  33. we've uh talked a bit of an introduction

  34. the first week. The second week, we

  35. talked about what it was like to be bold

  36. in the place of prayer. And this

  37. morning, we're going to look at what it

  38. means to be bold in our relationships.

  39. And what does it mean to have unreserved

  40. speech or bold speech in our

  41. relationships? Because I don't know

  42. about you, but many times I struggle to

  43. say the thing that I'm supposed to say,

  44. but I'm really good at saying it in my

  45. head an hour later, right? Like it's

  46. like then they say this and I'll reply

  47. with this and then they'll probably say

  48. this and you know in my mind later I've

  49. got the perfect words to say, but many

  50. times in the moment I'm like, "Wow, I

  51. don't I feel like my speech is

  52. reserved." And I actually saw online uh

  53. this week I saw there is a guy offering

  54. a service. Now he can be quite crass so

  55. please don't look it up but the service

  56. online is called John breaks bad news

  57. and you can go online and you can uh pay

  58. John to phone someone and tell them the

  59. bad news that you don't want to break to

  60. them. And so uh you either do it uh in

  61. your name or anonymously. And so, um,

  62. you know, you might get a call from John

  63. and he says, "Hey, it's John from John

  64. Breaks Bad News Here. Uh, someone just

  65. wanted to let you know that you're not

  66. very good at your job." It's like

  67. absolutely horrific. So that's not the

  68. kind of uh finding your voice that we're

  69. talking about in church. But the reality

  70. is a service like that actually exists

  71. in our world because generally so many

  72. of us actually struggle to say the

  73. things that we are needing to say in a

  74. moment and many times we can

  75. uh feel like we are paralyzed. So, if

  76. you're looking for a new job opportunity

  77. that was an American influencer, so

  78. maybe you could have Lucian breaks bad

  79. news or I don't know like uh there could

  80. be a bit of a market there uh within the

  81. New Zealand uh within the New Zealand

  82. market. But,

  83. you know, Paul wrote and he used this

  84. word about speaking boldly in second

  85. Corinthians. And uh sorry, my computer's

  86. actually just on the down and I can't

  87. read it there. So, I'm going to have to

  88. read it here. I I do not say this to

  89. condemn you. I've said before, you have

  90. such a great place in our hearts that we

  91. would live or die with you. I have

  92. spoken to you with great frankness. I

  93. take great pride in you and I'm greatly

  94. encouraged in all my troubles. My joy

  95. knows no bounds. So, it's interesting

  96. here. It is that Greek word paracia.

  97. I've spoken to you with great frankness.

  98. And so here Paul is writing to the

  99. Corinthians. He's like, "Hey, I wrote

  100. you the first letter and I was pretty

  101. bold in it. I spoke to you with great

  102. frankness." But I I want to see you to

  103. see what the first part there was where

  104. he says that I you have such a place in

  105. our hearts that we would live or die

  106. with you. You see, before we have frank

  107. speech in relationships, we need to have

  108. love for those we're in relationship

  109. with. Right? You ever had someone speak

  110. frankly to you, but you weren't so

  111. convinced they loved you? Right? It

  112. doesn't go so well. And so the a as we

  113. look at this, what does it mean to find

  114. our voice within our relationships? We

  115. we we start with this guard rail that it

  116. starts the people who should find their

  117. voice and be bold in communication are

  118. people who love deeply. You know uh

  119. sometimes you will get someone who is

  120. bold in finding their voice but um but

  121. you you don't sense they have love. I I

  122. I I laughed. Um last year Clinton was

  123. here um doing some work at church and

  124. he's like, "Oh, someone came in to

  125. complain about the church." I said, "Oh,

  126. no, that's no good." He said, "Yeah,

  127. they they came six months ago and they

  128. had a complaint about it." And I said,

  129. "Oh, okay." And so we listened and it

  130. was something reasonably minor. And uh

  131. they said, "Oh, I um so I just thought

  132. I'd come in and tell you I'm never

  133. coming to this church again."

  134. And Clina was like, "Okay, well, God

  135. bless."

  136. like we don't seem to love one another

  137. like thank you for being bold and

  138. sharing your opinion but uh actually

  139. that this isn't in the context of

  140. relationship like you've discovered we

  141. are not the church for you god bless and

  142. sometimes uh what can happen is some

  143. people are empowered and want to share

  144. every truth that they have you see in

  145. Ephesians it tells us that we need to

  146. learn to speak the truth in [snorts]

  147. love speak the truth truth in love. But

  148. what it doesn't say is speak every

  149. single truth you ever know to everyone.

  150. Right? Like sometimes you need to be

  151. silent in love. Sometimes the thing of

  152. what you actually need to share is not

  153. what you need to share. And so sometimes

  154. being silent is actually the way to love

  155. someone well.

  156. But how many of us sometimes actually

  157. speaking something would be the way to

  158. love someone well but we don't can't

  159. find our voice. So we re we we become

  160. reserved and we decide that maybe the

  161. way to love someone well in that moment

  162. is to remain silent when actually maybe

  163. we will being called to speak the truth

  164. in love.

  165. you know, it's working out, hey, is this

  166. something that I need to share or not?

  167. You know, if you're going to the

  168. shopping mall with someone and you don't

  169. think their colors match,

  170. you you you don't necessarily

  171. have to speak that truth in that moment.

  172. Probably Paul's happy for you to speak

  173. that truth. He's color blind, so he

  174. [laughter]

  175. feel free. Just let him know. Obviously,

  176. Karen wasn't at home when he left the

  177. house. And uh

  178. but you know, if someone's about to go

  179. to the biggest job interview of their

  180. life [laughter]

  181. and their colors totally don't match,

  182. you you you might want to let them know.

  183. So, you know, we we it's not about

  184. becoming a jerk in the name of Jesus,

  185. but it is about loving people enough

  186. that we would push through sometimes

  187. what is uncomfortable to be willing to

  188. speak the truth in love.

  189. You see, sometimes we hold our tongue

  190. and we say, "Oh, it's for the good of

  191. the Oh, yeah. I just didn't want to

  192. offend them." And sometimes that's true.

  193. But I think all of us would identify

  194. sometimes we say I didn't want to offend

  195. them. But what we were really saying was

  196. I didn't want to be uncomfortable.

  197. Like we say, oh no, I'm trying to love

  198. them well. But actually really what's

  199. going on inside of us is no, I do not

  200. want to be uncomfortable. This will be

  201. an uncomfortable situation. And so when

  202. we hear this word bold and when we hear

  203. about speaking the truth in love, what

  204. it really means is that we would love

  205. one another enough and we would love

  206. others enough to speak the truth in love

  207. when it's required and our care for them

  208. would be greater than the discomfort

  209. that we feel on the inside.

  210. See, true friends will be bold in love.

  211. I uh Clinton's not here this morning. Uh

  212. he's getting a second reference today. I

  213. do remember a number of years ago I was

  214. working um uh when I was youth pastoring

  215. under Pastor Trevor and Clinton said,

  216. "Hey, let's catch up for a coffee." And

  217. um so yeah, we went out for a coffee and

  218. I thought we were catching up for a

  219. coffee, but actually um Clinton needed

  220. to speak the truth to me in love. He

  221. actually had some things that he was

  222. like, "Hey, are you aware of this

  223. attitude that's kind of creeping into

  224. your life?" And uh man, I I I remember

  225. at the time, you know, you're kind of

  226. like, "Oh, flip. I thought, you know, we

  227. were just having a coffee."

  228. Now someone's holding up a mirror and

  229. saying, "Hey, are you aware of this? Can

  230. I tell you I'm so grateful that Clinton

  231. loved me enough that he would go, "Hey,

  232. I can just see this attitude in your

  233. life. Maybe that might be something you

  234. need to deal with."

  235. I was so grateful that he loved me, that

  236. he was willing to speak the truth in

  237. love. you know, now he didn't go and

  238. I've also seen this and this and this

  239. and this and by the way, here's the

  240. other 18 things I've observed over the

  241. last uh eight years and uh you know, he

  242. he didn't do the pylon. He just said,

  243. "Hey, have you are you aware that this

  244. are you aware I've seen this attitude in

  245. your life?" And I'm like, "Oh, wow.

  246. Thank you, Jesus." Side note, a few

  247. years later, number of years later,

  248. Clinton was actually on the interview

  249. panel for interviewing me for the job.

  250. the panel say, you know, do are you open

  251. to growth? I said, well, a number of

  252. years ago, someone confronted me about

  253. an attitude [laughter]

  254. and uh I got the job, so obviously there

  255. must have been enough uh repentance and

  256. and change. But the the truth is this,

  257. we speak the truth in love.

  258. Now, some of us might be like, "Man, I'm

  259. already feeling a little bit

  260. overwhelmed. Like, I can think of all of

  261. the times where I perhaps struggle with

  262. that." And I I want to remind us this

  263. morning that this is anchored actually

  264. in who Christ is.

  265. The the righteousness of Jesus actually

  266. causes love for people where where our

  267. speech is unreserved. You see, we said

  268. the righteous are as bold as a lion. But

  269. here in Ephesians 4, Paul goes on to

  270. this. He says, "To be made new in the

  271. attitude of your minds and to put on the

  272. new self, created to be like God in true

  273. righteousness and holiness." So, he's

  274. like, "Hey, you're a new creation. Put

  275. on your new self." And then, can we have

  276. the next verse uh up? What happens when

  277. we put on our true self?

  278. Can we uh grab the next verse? Uh next

  279. one.

  280. Put on your true self. Yeah, back. Yep,

  281. that one. Perfect. Verse 25. Therefore,

  282. each of you must put off falshood and

  283. speak truthfully to your neighbor. For

  284. we are all members of one body. In your

  285. anger, do not sin. Do not let the sun go

  286. down while you are still angry. And do

  287. not give the devil a foothold. So be

  288. made new in the attitude of your mind.

  289. Put on your new self. What then happens?

  290. We speak truthfully to one another. It

  291. is the fruit of a bornagain believer

  292. that we are actually unreserved in our

  293. speech. As I say, not that we just go

  294. around giving everyone a piece of my

  295. mind, but we are the place where we love

  296. people enough that we actually speak

  297. words of love to one another.

  298. It is our identity in who we are in

  299. Christ.

  300. But for many of us, it is a real

  301. struggle to be able to speak boldly in

  302. love to other people. And it's

  303. interesting what he says here because he

  304. says, "Do not let the sun go down on

  305. your anger."

  306. Uh I've shared many times that I used to

  307. be a checkout chick. One uh Saturday I

  308. was working at the supermarket. I got to

  309. work on the customer service kiosk which

  310. was always a good day because you didn't

  311. have to hear beep beep beep. You just

  312. got to say, "Okay, you want to return

  313. that? Good." Yes. So I was on the

  314. customer service kiosk and someone came

  315. up and said, "I've got a complaint to

  316. make." And I said, "Oh, okay. What's

  317. your complaint?" They said, "See that

  318. lighter there?" And we had these little

  319. lighters that were called flick lighters

  320. and they had like a slogan on them. You

  321. know, they were meant to be funny. They

  322. kind of had a joke that you could read

  323. on the lighter. And so the lighter said

  324. this, "Don't go to bed angry." And then

  325. the second half was stay up and fight.

  326. And so um [panting]

  327. it was meant to be a joke, but clearly

  328. this person um did not see the funny

  329. side of this. And and they said that's

  330. horrible. I said, "Oh, okay." THEY SAID,

  331. "WHY? WHY WOULD YOU HAVE SOMETHING

  332. THAT'S ENCOURAGING people to fight?"

  333. Said, "I think it's a joke." "Well, I

  334. don't find it funny." And they were

  335. like, "I want to see the manager." And

  336. so the manager came down uh store

  337. manager and uh she complained and uh he

  338. said, "Oh, yes. I'm very sorry. Maybe

  339. that's um maybe that's not a good

  340. lighter for us to be stocking." I can

  341. tell you that was one of the more polite

  342. things that the lighters said. Man, if

  343. if you'd seen the rest of them, they

  344. were pretty uh inappropriate. But what

  345. was interesting is it was almost a

  346. paraphrase of this uh Bible verse where

  347. it says do not let the sun go down on

  348. your anger. So here it is. Hey, we need

  349. to speak truth. Don't let the sun go

  350. down on your anger. Now I don't believe

  351. in in my belief I I might be wrong. I

  352. don't believe he's talking about a

  353. literal 24 hours. Like never go to bed

  354. angry. I mean for some of us we would

  355. get very little sleep.

  356. Um

  357. I don't think he's like hey never

  358. because how many people know sometimes

  359. actually the better thing is to have the

  360. conversation a little bit later when

  361. emotions aren't quite so heightened

  362. right I mean married couples um can do

  363. this all the time where it's like hey we

  364. feel really disconnected and I don't

  365. know if you even love me anymore. Let's

  366. talk.

  367. never ends too well, right? It's like,

  368. man, while we're feeling disconnected

  369. and maybe like we dislike each other,

  370. let's have an ongoing conversation and

  371. try and get to an agreement. It doesn't

  372. tend to work so well. But it is

  373. interesting. He says, "Do not let the

  374. sun go down on your anger." Do not sin,

  375. but also don't let the sun go down on

  376. your anger. Don't get in the habit of

  377. delaying truthful speech. Don't get into

  378. the habit of putting off in our

  379. relationships things that are important

  380. for us to say.

  381. Because when we get in the habit of

  382. putting things off in our relationships,

  383. what we are actually doing is giving the

  384. devil a foothold or giving the devil a

  385. place. When we get into the habit of

  386. deciding that really bugged me, but I'm

  387. just not going to say anything. And then

  388. the next thing that bugs me, I don't say

  389. anything. What he says is, hey, when

  390. that becomes our pattern, we actually

  391. give the devil a foothold.

  392. I remember Sarah and I having a

  393. conversation one time and a uh it was to

  394. do with an extended family member and

  395. something came up and um like the good

  396. Christian that I am, I um sort of let

  397. her know that I didn't really like that

  398. person very much and uh that I didn't

  399. want to be around them. And Sarah was

  400. kind of like, "That's strange. Why is

  401. that?" And I didn't even realize it, but

  402. I actually said to her and as soon as I

  403. found myself saying it, I thought, "Oh

  404. my goodness." I was like, "Well, 16

  405. years ago,

  406. true story, 16 years ago, they said,"

  407. and then all of a sudden, I burst into

  408. tears and like I wasn't aware that I was

  409. carrying something for 16 years. It

  410. wasn't at the front of my mind, but it

  411. was pretty strongly there in the back of

  412. my mind. And it only took the mention of

  413. this person for this to come out. And I

  414. remember uh Sarah looking at me and

  415. she's like, "Well, I'm really sorry they

  416. did that to you." And then she and as a

  417. good Scouser would went, "But I'm even

  418. sadder that you've held it for the last

  419. 16 years and not dealt with it." And in

  420. this case, it wasn't something I needed

  421. to go and see the person about. I just

  422. needed to repent and say, "Lord, yeah,

  423. that hurt me, but I realized their

  424. intention wasn't to hurt me." And I've h

  425. harbored this unforgiveness, and I have

  426. given the devil a foothold because I was

  427. not willing to speak in the next day to

  428. let them know that what they had done

  429. had hurt me because I wasn't willing to.

  430. I had actually given the devil a

  431. foothold. And the other person had no

  432. idea that that was what I was reacting

  433. to and just thought I wasn't a very

  434. friendly person. Just, oh, Aaron

  435. doesn't, you know, they picked up the

  436. subtle clue that I had dropped with my

  437. passive aggressiveness because, you

  438. know, you're in full-time ministry. You

  439. got to keep your aggressive passive, not

  440. uh not not not outright. But they had

  441. picked up the tone of passive

  442. aggressiveness.

  443. But it was because I had given the devil

  444. a foothold because I hadn't been able to

  445. speak the truth in love.

  446. Now I do understand in sharing something

  447. like this there are all kinds of

  448. dynamics going on. There are people in

  449. all kinds of different relationships.

  450. There are people who feel like I I I get

  451. what you're saying but actually I'm in a

  452. relationship where it's not safe for me

  453. to speak my mind. I've tried before and

  454. it got shut down and this is not how I I

  455. I just don't know the way forward and I

  456. just want to acknowledge there are all

  457. of those kind of tensions within a topic

  458. like this

  459. and a and and you may need someone to

  460. journey with you and you if it's someone

  461. that you're really close to and are

  462. going to be on ongoing relationship you

  463. might need someone to journey with you

  464. and them to help walk you through that.

  465. But the thing is many times we end up in

  466. a position

  467. an absolute knots [snorts]

  468. because we don't have the conversation

  469. when it's easy. Uh it's not easy it's

  470. hard but sorry we don't have the

  471. conversation at a time when it could

  472. have been a far easier conversation than

  473. six months of hurt built up. Now all of

  474. a sudden this thing has emotion attached

  475. to it that it never needed to have

  476. attached to it. But we have given a

  477. period of time and it has enabled the

  478. thing to get so much bigger in our

  479. hearts in our lives. And that's why Paul

  480. says don't let the sun go down. Become

  481. someone that speaks truth. Again just

  482. reiterate again not everything. You

  483. don't need to go and tell everyone

  484. everything, but where there is something

  485. that has hurt you or that you feel you

  486. need to express

  487. that we would lean into who Jesus is in

  488. us, his righteousness, enabling us to

  489. speak truth, but to do it in such a

  490. loving way. And what can happen is the

  491. things that

  492. seem so difficult can can just bring so

  493. much healing. I mean, how many of us so

  494. often have had the conversation and the

  495. other person said, "I had no idea. Oh,

  496. I'm so sorry." Like, and and I found

  497. sometimes the ones things that I were

  498. thinking, "How on earth are we going to

  499. have this conversation?" And when I

  500. actually with love can come and not be

  501. emotional, but be uh grounded and just

  502. sharing who I am, that actually. So more

  503. often than not, it's not a guarantee,

  504. but more often than not, things actually

  505. go well and we get to move on. You see,

  506. Paul says that uh the way we overcome

  507. fear is with love, power, and

  508. self-control. And that's what we've been

  509. working on. Uh that's what we've been

  510. framing up this topic of boldness as

  511. love, power, and self-control.

  512. And I know for me, one of the uh

  513. self-control that I have to have is

  514. sometimes to be disciplined

  515. uh to actually say what I know I need to

  516. say.

  517. I I'll give you an example uh without

  518. the specifics. I I was in a situation

  519. where something came up and I felt

  520. really uncomfortable and I felt like I

  521. needed to say something and I didn't,

  522. right? And it was the kind of situation,

  523. I think we all know it, to go back to it

  524. a week later would have just seemed

  525. crazy. Like to go back and bring it up

  526. like kind of like, hey, this last week,

  527. the person would have been like, uh, and

  528. so I was like, uh, Lord, I need to work

  529. out on a scale of 1 to 10, it mattered

  530. to me, but it's probably a three, so I'm

  531. not going to go back and have the

  532. conversation. But for me, the discipline

  533. and self-control was I actually said,

  534. "Okay, Lord, next time if I'm in a

  535. similar situation, particularly with

  536. that person, I don't want this to grow

  537. in me. So Lord, would you please help

  538. me? Give me the self-control that in

  539. that moment I would be able to be

  540. controlled and loving and full of your

  541. power that I would be able to speak up."

  542. And sure enough, a few weeks later, a

  543. similar situation with the same person.

  544. Again, not a massive thing, but I was

  545. actually able to say, "Hey, do you mind

  546. if

  547. and share my heart and and it was good

  548. and everything moved on." And what I

  549. realized in those moments was it wasn't

  550. actually about the issue. It was

  551. actually about me learning to be able to

  552. express myself. It was actually about me

  553. learning what it is to push past

  554. timidity and to actually be bold. uh to

  555. be bold and unreserved in a righteous

  556. way.

  557. See, sometimes

  558. we choose the easy conversation with the

  559. wrong person rather than the hard

  560. conversation with the right person.

  561. Oh, Paul, you wouldn't believe what so

  562. and so said to me. Oh, man. Like, it was

  563. so tough. like they just they said this

  564. and you know I I just sensed in the in

  565. the spirit in that moment that I it

  566. wasn't right for me to challenge them

  567. but oh Paul you wouldn't believe what

  568. they said to me. You know how easy it

  569. sometimes is to choose the easy

  570. conversation with the wrong person

  571. rather than the more difficult

  572. conversation with the right person. And

  573. uh I'm aware man you guys have been

  574. quiet this morning. We're talking about

  575. uh relation

  576. finding our voice and hard conversations

  577. on a wet rainy day. So, you know, that's

  578. like the a a a double uh a double thing

  579. to give you plenty of energy. But can I

  580. say this? I actually believe some of us

  581. have lived in the fruit of giving the

  582. devil a foot foothold. I'm not saying

  583. that we're like that you're possessed or

  584. that it means that there's uh the

  585. demonic upon you, but we've actually

  586. enabled through our inaction in speech.

  587. We have enabled a bitterness to come

  588. into our lives and the Lord is actually

  589. wanting a reset in us where we would

  590. learn what it is to have a holy

  591. boldness. The Lord is actually wanting

  592. to reorientate something within us where

  593. we can be bold in our relationships

  594. because motivated by the love for one

  595. another.

  596. And I wonder

  597. how you feel right now even as you take

  598. a look over your relationships. You

  599. know, for some of us, it might be that

  600. we do need to go away and have a

  601. conversation with someone and say, "Hey,

  602. I actually need to let you know I've

  603. probably not been very good at sharing

  604. my heart." You know, you can actually

  605. own that. Like you don't have to say

  606. they've done this XY Z. you can actually

  607. say, "Hey, I've maybe not been very good

  608. at being bold when uh when I should have

  609. been."

  610. And I just want you to know that going

  611. forward, I'm going to really try and be

  612. honest. So, you may have people that you

  613. need to apologize to and say, "Hey, I

  614. know you've probably been frustrated by

  615. me and you've wondered why I pull back

  616. and why I do this and and you're

  617. probably wondering why. And I've

  618. actually realized what it is is I

  619. haven't been speaking when I need to and

  620. I've been holding back and you've been

  621. getting uh the feeling that I am pulling

  622. back and I'm sorry for that and I want

  623. to move forward

  624. because the Lord

  625. spirit does not make us timid but it is

  626. love, power, and self-control.

  627. And uh I'm going to invite the worship

  628. team to come up now. Um, and what we're

  629. going to do, it's going to be a little

  630. bit of a juxiposition. We're going to go

  631. from one extreme to the other. What

  632. we're going to do is, uh, I'm going to

  633. say a prayer. We're going to have just a

  634. little bit of silent time with us and

  635. the Lord. Um, and, uh, after that, what

  636. we are going to do is boldly declare who

  637. we are in Christ. Cuz the awesome thing

  638. is no matter how much you don't feel

  639. like you have the words to speak in

  640. difficult situations, the awesome thing

  641. is you are a new creation. If you are in

  642. Christ Jesus, you the old is gone, the

  643. new has come. There is grace for you to

  644. step into this that it's not based on

  645. our goodness.

  646. So why don't we close our eyes?

  647. Lord, I thank you that your

  648. heart for us,

  649. Lord, is that we would be a new

  650. creation. And Lord, part of that new

  651. creation identity is to speak the truth

  652. in love.

  653. And Lord, if we've struggled with that

  654. or if that's been something that we

  655. haven't been able to do, Lord, I pray

  656. this morning there may even be a reset.

  657. Lord, would you bless us

  658. with that awareness

  659. of who you are in us,

  660. Lord? Not that we need to win arguments,

  661. but we need to love well. And Lord, that

  662. we're we've been guilty of holding back

  663. our voice, Lord. That we would step into

  664. that fresh identity.

  665. Just going to allow like 30 seconds of

  666. silence between you and the Lord. And it

  667. it might be that

  668. there's just something you can give to

  669. him where you might just feel his love

  670. wrapping you, saying it's going to be

  671. okay. This is your new identity. It

  672. might be a relationship that he's going

  673. to lay on your heart that he's going to

  674. restore. But we'll just have a few

  675. seconds of silence now.

  676. Jesus, I bless you that even as the rain

  677. pours down, Lord, that you are a God of

  678. new beginnings. And Lord, you invite us

  679. from glory to glory to discover new you

  680. in new realms. So Lord, I bless each

  681. person here in the name of Jesus to know

  682. that identity of who they are in you,

  683. Lord, to be as bold as a lion in Jesus

  684. mighty name. Amen. And what we're going

  685. to do now, church, is stand to our feet

  686. and we are going to have a praise song.

  687. We are going to declare the goodness of

  688. God that you and I are new creations.

  689. [music] That he has set us free to be

  690. everything that he has called us to

  691. [music] be in Jesus mighty name.
