  1. So, if you want to read ahead, I would

  2. encourage you to go back and read that

  3. chapter again. I went to a West Virginia

  4. University uh college football game back

  5. in September of 2018. It took place in

  6. Charlotte, North Carolina. It was my

  7. beloved West Virginia Mountaineers

  8. versus the villains of Tennessee. Um the

  9. the Volunteers, I guess, instead of

  10. villains. Anyway, um so I went to see my

  11. my team play and I I was very I was

  12. running late because there was a lot of

  13. traffic and I got there about 30 minutes

  14. before kickoff and all the good parking

  15. spaces were gone at that time. So I

  16. wound up parking right in the middle of

  17. a Tennessee tailgate and of course I get

  18. out of my car and I'm dripping blue and

  19. gold and they know obviously that I'm

  20. not pulling for their team but they were

  21. actually wonderful people. They were

  22. very encouraging. Um, when I got out of

  23. the car, they invited me over to their

  24. tailgate and they sold me um a a

  25. Nashville hot chicken sandwich. First

  26. time I ever had that in my life. And a

  27. Moon Pie on the side and it was only

  28. like five bucks. It was wonderful. So,

  29. talked for a little bit to these guys

  30. wearing these creamsicle overalls and no

  31. shirts. Um, and then I I went to the

  32. game. Um, after the game, the vibe was

  33. quite different because West Virginia

  34. University won 40-4.

  35. Um, so when I got back to that tailgate,

  36. they were not as happy to see me. As a

  37. matter of fact, there was a mountain of

  38. beer cans that was stacked right on top

  39. of the hood of my car, and it looked

  40. like some type of Memphis dry rub was

  41. rubbed down the side of my driver's side

  42. window. So, um, there's no such thing as

  43. neutral in a competitive environment.

  44. There's no such thing as neutral in a

  45. competitive environment. And right now,

  46. we are in a competition for the souls of

  47. lost people all around the world. And

  48. our church mission statement is to share

  49. Jesus and to serve others. And as we

  50. pursue that mission, you're going to

  51. find out very quickly, if you don't

  52. already know, that we have an enemy that

  53. is trying to stand in our way as we

  54. attempt to share the gospel. As we've

  55. seen behind the last two doors in

  56. Revelation that God has opened for us,

  57. we have a red dragon. We have Lucifer.

  58. We have Satan and his minions that stand

  59. in the way of our goal of making

  60. disciples. We have an enemy who wants to

  61. attack those of us who are on the front

  62. lines trying to lead people to Jesus by

  63. making us shift into neutral. But

  64. friends, [snorts] there is no neutral in

  65. a real life game of thrones. You choose

  66. one side or the other. You choose to

  67. worship at the throne of King Jesus or

  68. you will choose to worship at the throne

  69. of the dragon. And if you choose

  70. indifference, I want you to understand

  71. that you are still making a choice and

  72. you are choosing the way, as Matt

  73. Chandler says, the way of the dragon.

  74. Indifference is the way of the dragon.

  75. So, we have to ask ourselves, are we

  76. going to choose the way of Jesus or are

  77. we going to choose the way of the

  78. dragon? Now, choosing the way of the

  79. dragon doesn't involve like just Ouija

  80. boards and cauldrons and seances and all

  81. the demonic things that we think about

  82. uh when we think about Satan and what it

  83. means to actually worship him. It it

  84. could be as simple as worshiping

  85. man-made things. It it could be as as

  86. simple as investing your time and energy

  87. into something that doesn't make any

  88. type of an eternal difference. It it

  89. could be when Jesus says to seek first

  90. the kingdom that we decide instead to

  91. seek first our pleasure. Sometimes it's

  92. just making everything about you.

  93. Sometimes it's just discouraging your

  94. brothers and sisters in Christ. Maybe

  95. it's acting holy on a Sunday and then

  96. acting a fool on Friday. That these

  97. simple things that we choose to do are

  98. actually uh leading us to either worship

  99. the way of the Lord or the way of the

  100. dragon. The way of the dragon is a broad

  101. road and it says in scripture that many

  102. will find it. However, there is a way to

  103. life and though it is a narrow road, we

  104. also are encouraged because we know that

  105. we can find that road through Jesus

  106. Christ. Which is why I love Revelation

    Revelation 14 chapter mention

  107. chapter 14 because it it is so

  108. incredibly encouraging because it was

  109. written to show us the way to life and

  110. it was written to strengthen us in our

  111. darkest hours. So let's look at

  112. Revelation 14 today. The first thing you

  113. will notice in verse 6 is angel number

  114. one. You're going to meet three angels

  115. and two harvests today. Angel number one

  116. and verse six. Then I saw another angel

  117. flying around high overhead with an

  118. eternal gospel announced to the

  119. inhabitants of the earth, to every

  120. nation and tribe, language and people.

  121. He spoke with a loud voice, "Fear God

  122. and give him glory because the hour of

  123. his judgment has come. Worship the one

  124. who made heaven and earth, the sea, and

  125. the springs of water." Angel number one

  126. takes the gospel message to people of

  127. every tribe, nation, and tongue. So, you

  128. got to ask yourselves, is this like a an

  129. angel that's actually appearing before

  130. people and sharing the gospel? Well, I I

  131. don't think that's what this is

  132. communicating. I I believe that this is

  133. an angel that encourages the church to

  134. reach the lost of every nation and tribe

  135. and tongue. Th this is an angel that

  136. empowers our evangelistic efforts. This

  137. is an angel that gives us what we need

  138. to be effective in our witness. Hey, if

  139. you want to make trouble for the enemy,

  140. if you want to fight back, if you're

  141. tired of reading about how the devil is

  142. is persecuting the church, well, the way

  143. to get back at the devil, the way to

  144. usurp the dragon is to go and to witness

  145. to the people on your street, which is

  146. harder than it sounds. Um, I live in in

  147. a hood. Um, and it's got a lot of stray

  148. kids, my daughter being one of them, and

  149. and they wander my neighborhood and they

  150. do all kinds of crazy stuff that drives

  151. me crazy. Like I middle of the night,

  152. 2:00 a.m. there there's four-wheelers

  153. and and motorcycles going by our house.

  154. You know, it's just kids out in the

  155. street all the time, parents nowhere to

  156. be seen. And uh it really kind of hit a

  157. tipping point this year when um these

  158. two young guys, probably 11 or 12 years

  159. old, they had a bunch of bottle rockets.

  160. Don't know where they got those, but

  161. they're walking down the street and

  162. they're shooting off bottle rockets. But

  163. it wasn't just the bottle rockets. It

  164. was the fact that they had an infant in

  165. a stroller that they were pushing and

  166. they they lit the bottle rocket not a

  167. foot away from the baby. And I lost my

  168. mind. I came out of my garage and I'm

  169. like, "WHERE IS YOUR HEAD AT?" Just

  170. yelling at these kids like the dude that

  171. tells him to get off his lawn. That's

  172. me. Um I'm like, "What are you doing?

  173. There's a baby involved." And

  174. immediately I got a text from my

  175. daughter who wasn't even home at the

  176. time. She texted me. She's like, "Dad,

  177. quit yelling at my friends." So

  178. apparently they called her immediately

  179. and told on me. And so I told Susan, I'm

  180. like, "Look, we're done. We're moving.

  181. We're moving out in the middle of a

  182. cornfield somewhere." And uh she just

  183. laughs because she knows I'm not going

  184. anywhere. But after I I thought about it

  185. for a while, God really got a hold of my

  186. heart, especially through this

  187. Revelation study. and he encouraged me

  188. to prayerw walk my neighborhood. I never

  189. even thought about doing that before to

  190. to prayerw walk my neighborhood. And I'm

  191. like, "All right, okay. I I'll give it a

  192. try." So, I'm walking around the

  193. neighborhood and I'm praying and uh I

  194. catch myself praying that the

  195. four-wheeler tires will go flat and that

  196. the police will confiscate the

  197. fireworks. And I'm not really praying

  198. for the people. But then I began to

  199. notice something I never noticed when I

  200. had my headphones in. And I'm kind of

  201. like, you know, walking around the

  202. neighborhood. But this time, I I began

  203. to notice kind of the sadness around me.

  204. I began to notice the fact that, hey,

  205. there's a reason that there aren't

  206. parents around. They're probably working

  207. two or three shifts or maybe there's

  208. divorce. And you you look around and you

  209. you see lawns that haven't been cut for

  210. months and mailboxes that are kind of

  211. tipping over that haven't been fixed and

  212. cracks in driveways. And kind of the the

  213. sadness, the oppression of that

  214. neighborhood started to hit me. And so

  215. then became praying differently. I began

  216. praying for the people that I didn't

  217. even know in these houses just asking

  218. God to to to bless them and to reach

  219. them and to give them what they need.

  220. And it was kind of crazy because not

  221. long after that, I got a phone call from

  222. a local church that asked if they could

  223. kind of partner with us and and figure

  224. out a way to reach some of those

  225. neighborhoods. So now I could pray and

  226. say, "God, open the door for this church

  227. to actually come in and and minister to

  228. these these people and draw them into a

  229. a church environment."

  230. So when you pray for people,

  231. even people you don't know, it it moves

  232. the hand of God. And I don't know how

  233. all that works in the heavenly realms,

  234. but I do know that if you start praying

  235. for people, crazy things happen. Like

  236. the lady in the house that that I'm

  237. praying for that I've never met in my

  238. life, uh perhaps uh she's like starting

  239. to remember things that her vacation

  240. Bible school teacher taught her back in

  241. in third grade. And that's when the

  242. enemy is like, "Whoa, whoa, now now I'm

  243. on his radar. Now I'm making a

  244. difference. And you might kind of

  245. snicker at that, but that is how God

  246. works. When you pray, things change in

  247. ways that you can't even imagine. So now

  248. you're actually a problem for the

  249. dragon.

  250. But church, if we choose to shift into

  251. neutral, if we choose to be indifferent,

  252. then we are absolutely not a problem for

  253. the enemy. We are no threat at all. And

  254. as a matter of fact, we're doing exactly

  255. what the dragon wants us to do. But when

  256. you step out and you share Jesus and you

  257. serve others and partner with this

  258. angel, you get to experience the the the

  259. Holy Spirit and the joy of serving the

  260. Lord in a way that you just will become

  261. addicted to if you do it long enough. So

  262. that's angel number one. We get to

  263. partner with this angel. This angel

  264. helps the church reach the nations with

  265. the gospel. Angel number two we see in

  266. verse 8

  267. and another a second angel followed

  268. saying it has fallen. Babylon the great

  269. has fallen. She made all the nations

  270. drink the wine of her sexual immorality

  271. which brings wrath. This angel is

  272. exposing the lies of Babylon. And of

  273. course, Babylon's just a placeholder for

  274. any nation or influential group, any

  275. government that promotes anything that

  276. would be immoral. It's exposing the lies

  277. that are encouraging people to sin. This

  278. angel is waking people up to the

  279. consequences of their sinful choices.

  280. This angel flies around and says,

  281. "Babylon the great has fallen. The lies

  282. have been exposed. what was done in the

  283. darkness is now being brought out into

  284. the light. Th this angel is testifying

  285. to the fact that there are people who

  286. are being forgiven and healed and

  287. restored. There there are people who

  288. have the broken parts of their soul that

  289. are being mended. There are people who

  290. have open wounds who are now allowing

  291. those wounds to turn into scars. We get

  292. to partner with this angel to help the

  293. broken people find restoration in Jesus.

  294. Isn't it awesome to be a part uh to be a

  295. a conduit of God's grace in the life of

  296. someone else? Well, the reason we get to

  297. do that is because we all have an angel

  298. that is propelling us into that mission

  299. field to expose the lies so people can

  300. see the truth, giving us an opportunity

  301. to lead them to their savior. And then

  302. we see angel number three in verse 9.

  303. Angel number three and another angel a

  304. third angel followed them and spoke with

  305. a loud voice. If anyone worships the

  306. beast in its image and receives a mark

  307. on his forehead or on his hand, he will

  308. also drink of the wine of God's wrath

  309. which is poured out into the full

  310. strength into the cup of his anger. He

  311. will be tormented with fire and sulfur

  312. in the sight of the holy angels and in

  313. the sight of the lamb. And the smoke of

  314. their torment will go up forever and

  315. ever. There is no rest day or night for

  316. those who worship the beast and its

  317. image or anyone who receives the mark of

  318. its name. This calls for endurance from

  319. the saints who keep God's command in

  320. their faith in Jesus. Now, we have to

  321. resist the urge to read this scripture

  322. as if it is some angry God who is

  323. excited to devastate and torture people

  324. who do not believe in him. And I know a

  325. lot of people that read it that way and

  326. they're reading it incorrectly.

  327. Revelation chapter 14 is an encouraging

    Revelation 14 chapter mention

  328. chapter. It is not a discouraging

  329. chapter. So let's break this down. This

  330. angel is a picture of God's love because

  331. love cares about what other people do.

  332. If you love someone, you actually care

  333. about the things that they do. Love

  334. acknowledges the fact that actions have

  335. consequences. Love does not ignore your

  336. bad decisions. Love steps in and points

  337. out the consequences of those decisions.

  338. This angel is a motivator. It It's

  339. reminding us of the truth of the reality

  340. of people that will set under the

  341. judgment of God. It should motivate us

  342. to stop being indifferent about church

  343. and worrying about all kinds of little

  344. things that don't matter and start

  345. worrying about the thing that matters

  346. most, which is the soul of the people

  347. who are lost and headed toward this this

  348. judgment. This angel is a reality check

  349. because the more you love, the more

  350. capacity that you have for wrath. So if

  351. you want to mess with me, that's fine.

  352. We'll figure it out. It's okay. But if

  353. you start to mess with my family, then

  354. it's a lot harder for me to overlook

  355. those offenses because the more you

  356. love, the more capacity that you have

  357. for wrath. So if I was indifferent

  358. toward my family, then I would never be

  359. it couldn't provoke wrath out of me,

  360. could you? No. Because I love my family,

  361. then I can be vengeful in a way. So God

  362. is love. He is literally made up of

  363. love. Therefore, he is infinitely

  364. capable of wrath. So, the choice to

  365. follow the way of the dragon is the

  366. choice is according to Matt Chandler to

  367. participate in the destruction of human

  368. flourishing. The dragon seeks to break

  369. the shalom, the peace that God wants to

  370. give to all of us. So what kind of a

  371. loving God would not push back against

  372. the choices of people who have hurt the

  373. ones that Jesus laid down his life to

  374. save? So remember this, God is full of

  375. grace and mercy and he is long-suffering

  376. and he is patient in his wrath. He even

  377. encourages us through Jesus in Matthew

    Matthew 6 chapter mention

  378. chapter 6 to to go the extra mile and to

  379. love our enemies. But according to this

  380. scripture, there is a cup of God's

  381. wrath. And it is daily being filled. And

  382. one day when it fills all the way up,

  383. it's going to be poured out upon those

  384. who worship the dragon and persecute the

  385. church. See, God is not indifferent

  386. toward you. He loves you and therefore

  387. he will take up for you. So this angel

  388. is demonstrating the complete outworking

  389. of God's gift of free will. That's the

  390. main thing to take away from this. This

  391. angel is demonstrating the complete

  392. outworking of God's gift of free will.

  393. So look at John 3:1 19. It says, "This

    John 3:1

  394. is the judgment. The light has come into

  395. the world." That's Jesus. And people

  396. loved darkness rather than light because

  397. of their evil deeds or because their

  398. deeds were evil. Romans chapter 1 verse

    Romans 1:28

  399. 28. And because they did not think it

  400. worthwhile to acknowledge God, God

  401. delivered them over to a corrupt mind so

  402. that they will not do what is right.

  403. Jipacker sums this up the best. He says,

  404. "Nobody stands under the wrath of God

  405. save for those who have chosen to do

  406. so." So, let me read that again. Nobody

  407. stands under the wrath of God save for

  408. those who have chosen to do so. God

  409. leads with love, not judgment.

  410. So make sure we read this in the correct

  411. order. John 3:1 16 before those other

    John 3:1

  412. passages, it says, "For God loved the

  413. world in this way that he sent his only

  414. son so that whoever believes in him will

  415. not perish but have eternal life. For

  416. God did not send his son into the world

  417. to condemn the world, but to save the

  418. world through him.

  419. Some people like the stuff that God

  420. created more than the creator himself.

  421. Some people choose lies over truth. And

  422. as Matt Chandler says, the essence of

  423. God's wrath is to give humans what they

  424. choose. God will honor your free will

  425. for all of eternity because it was his

  426. gift to you. So if you choose an

  427. eternity separate from God in this place

  428. of judgment that we just read about,

  429. then that is your choice and he will

  430. honor your choice. But know this, God

  431. loves you and he's standing at the door

  432. of your heart and he is knocking on that

  433. door. So I'm telling you that you do not

  434. have to stay under the wrath of God. You

  435. have a choice [snorts] and that choice

  436. is do I worship the lamb or do I worship

  437. the dragon? And friends, it doesn't

  438. matter who you who you are. It does not

  439. matter what you have done. It doesn't

  440. matter if you've done a lot of good

  441. things or a lot of bad things. You don't

  442. have to climb some religious ladder to

  443. try to earn God's approval and salvation

  444. because Jesus came down that religious

  445. ladder keeping every step of the law

  446. along the way. He came to earth to

  447. rescue you. All you have to do is accept

  448. his free gift of salvation.

  449. So, we get to partner with this angel

  450. when we step out from under God's wrath

  451. and into God's grace. And that leads us

  452. into harvest number one. Revelation

    Revelation 14:14

  453. chapter 14

  454. verse 14.

  455. Then I looked and there was a white

  456. cloud and one like the son of man was

  457. seated on the cloud with a golden crown

  458. on his head and a sharp sickle in his

  459. hand. Another angel came out of the

  460. temple carrying crying out in a loud

  461. voice to the one who is seated on the

  462. cloud. Use your sickle and reap for the

  463. time to reap has come since the harvest

  464. of the earth is ripe. So the one seated

  465. on the cloud swung the sickle over the

  466. earth and the earth was harvested.

  467. Everything in Revelation is found

  468. elsewhere in the Bible. And so where do

  469. we see this before? We see this phrase

  470. in John 4:35.

    John 4:35

  471. Jesus says, "Don't you say there are

  472. still four more months and then comes

  473. the harvest. Listen to what I'm telling

  474. you. Open your eyes and look at the

  475. fields because they are ready for the

  476. harvest." This is right after Jesus met

  477. the woman at the well. This is before

  478. Jesus went to the cross. And he's trying

  479. to make a point. He's saying, "Look,

  480. there's not enough workers. There's not

  481. enough people out there to harvest the

  482. the fields right now. And so what we

  483. need is more workers. And now on this

  484. side of the cross, because of the power

  485. of the Holy Spirit in us, we now have

  486. the workers to reap the harvest that is

  487. being talked about here. This harvest is

  488. taking place every single day. It's my

  489. story. Angel number one came to me and

  490. brought me the gospel and I heard it.

  491. Angel number two came to me and exposed

  492. the lies that my culture was trying to

  493. teach me and I understood them. Angel

  494. number three came and told me that I

  495. don't have to stay under wrath. I can

  496. actually move into God's grace and I

  497. accepted that free gift of salvation. I

  498. am a part of the harvest. I am one that

  499. has been brought in so to speak. And if

  500. you're a Christian here today, you are

  501. too. You're a part of this harvest.

  502. And let me point out, nowhere in

  503. scripture, nowhere in scripture is

  504. harvesting ever used as a sign of

  505. judgment.

  506. Never. I know there's some teaching out

  507. there that makes you think when you read

  508. these this picture of the harvest, this

  509. some type of a judgment. No, that's not

  510. at all what it is. Harvest is always

  511. used in a redemptive context and it is

  512. always followed by a celebration. And so

  513. you are a part of something that the

  514. heavenly realms are celebrating. When

  515. you give your life to Jesus, you become

  516. a part of that harvest. And it says the

  517. heavens, the angels, and Jesus himself

  518. celebrate the fact that a lost child has

  519. now come home. So, so clearly harvest

  520. number one is Jesus redeeming the people

  521. of every nation and tribe and tongue in

  522. our day. But then there's harvest number

  523. two and that happens in verse 17.

  524. Then another angel who had a sharp

  525. sickle came out of the temple in heaven.

  526. Yet another angel who had authority over

  527. fire came from the altar. And he called

  528. with a loud voice to the one who had the

  529. sharp sickle. Use your sharp sickle and

  530. gather the clusters of grapes from the

  531. vineyard of the earth because the grapes

  532. have ripened. So the angel swung a

  533. sickle over the earth and gathered the

  534. grapes from the vineyard of the earth.

  535. And he threw them into the great wine

  536. press of God's wrath. Then the press was

  537. trampled outside of the city and blood

  538. flowed out from the press to the hor's

  539. bridles. So about four feet tall and for

  540. about 180 miles. So let's try to break

  541. this down so we understand what's going

  542. on here. First of all, we see a sickle

  543. that is swung by an angel who had

  544. authority over fire. Fire in the Bible

  545. represents the presence of God. Moses

  546. spoke to the burning bush. The pillar of

  547. fire led the people out of Egypt. When

  548. the Holy Spirit came to earth, people

  549. spoke with tongues that were of flame.

  550. So, we know this is God involved in this

  551. process. The sickle is also swung by an

  552. angel who is focused on reaping the

  553. vines of the earth. Six times in

  554. scripture, we talk about vines and and

  555. they always represent the people of God.

  556. So, again, this harvest that we're

  557. talking about, this is a good thing.

  558. It's representing the people of God that

  559. are are gathered. In John 15:5, it says,

    John 15:5

  560. "I am the vine and you are the branches.

  561. The one who remains in me, in him, I

  562. will produce much fruit because you can

  563. do nothing without me." But the most

  564. important part of this passage of

  565. scripture to help us understand what's

  566. going on is the fact that this event,

  567. this great pressing happens outside of

  568. the city, which takes you to Hebrews 13

    Hebrews 13:10

  569. verse 10. We have an altar from which

  570. those who worship at the tabernacle do

  571. not have the right to eat. For the

  572. bodies of those animals whose blood is

  573. brought into the most holy place by the

  574. high priest as a sin offering are burned

  575. where?

  576. Outside of the camp. So in the Old

  577. Testament, the sacrificial system, the

  578. offerings that were made to God, the

  579. worship that took place was done outside

  580. of the camp. Therefore, Jesus also

  581. suffered where?

  582. outside of the gate so that he might

  583. sanctify the people by his own blood.

  584. Let us then go to him outside of the

  585. camp bearing his disgrace. For we do not

  586. have an enduring city here. Instead, we

  587. seek the one to come. Harvest number two

  588. is Jesus death on the cross. The the

  589. wrath of God towards sin is presented

  590. here like a divine wine press. Jesus is

  591. being poured out like a drink offering

  592. for the salvation of the world. Jesus is

  593. the one who is absorbing God's wrath

  594. toward our sin. The blood that we see

  595. here which was 4 feet high and 180 miles

  596. wide is approximately the length of the

  597. ancient city of Palestine. So for the

  598. first century readers of revelation,

  599. they would have understood this to mean

  600. that there is enough blood flowing from

  601. Jesus sacrifice to cover the entirety of

  602. the city. There's enough blood for

  603. everyone. There's enough redemption for

  604. everyone. It covers all.

  605. Christ's death fully absorbed the the

  606. cup of God's wrath so that you are no

  607. longer condemned. You no longer have to

  608. live in guilt and shame for your

  609. previous sin because Jesus has gone to

  610. the cross for you. So now you have the

  611. right to choose. Do you choose the way

  612. of Jesus or do you choose the way of the

  613. dragon? See this horrific imagery that

  614. we just read did not discourage people

  615. when they read it initially. It inspired

  616. them because it reminded them that they

  617. are not lost beyond salvation. It

  618. reminded them that they are not broken

  619. beyond repair. You can choose to be

  620. under God's grace and you don't have to

  621. live under God's wrath.

  622. But what you can't choose to do is be

  623. neutral because there's no such thing in

  624. the kingdom of God as neutral.

  625. Indifference is a choice to follow the

  626. dragon.

  627. So, if you're one of those people like,

  628. "Well, I'm going to live the way I want

  629. to live now, and then later on in my

  630. life, I'm going to get things right with

  631. the Lord." That's indifference. That's

  632. choosing the way of the dragon. And you

  633. might not have that that part of your

  634. life to look forward to. You never know

  635. what can happen. And I'm not trying to

  636. scare anybody into salvation. I'm just

  637. being honest because God loves you and

  638. he wants to make sure that you move out

  639. from under his wrath as soon as you can.

  640. So we got to ask ourselves which throne

  641. are we going to choose to worship at?

  642. Which way are we going to choose to

  643. follow? The way of the dragon or the way

  644. of Jesus? Judgment or cross?

  645. Judgment or grace? Well, today you get

  646. to make that decision. So let's bow our

  647. heads for a moment. I do want to give

  648. you a chance to respond to this powerful

  649. passage of scripture.

  650. The choice is it's yours.

  651. No one can make this choice for you. You

  652. cannot inherit your

  653. your grandfather's faith. You can't

  654. inherit your mother's faith. This is a

  655. choice that you have to make for

  656. yourself. And if you are old enough to

  657. know the difference between good and bad

  658. and you're old enough to understand the

  659. gospel, then this is a choice that you

  660. need to make for yourself.

  661. Are you going to choose the way of Jesus

  662. and his grace and his cross? Or are you

  663. going to ch choose the way of the dragon

  664. that leads to judgment? So father, I

  665. just want to pray for those in this room

  666. that may be wrestling with that choice

  667. today. But we know that the schemes of

  668. Satan as the father of lies are are

  669. difficult to see through sometimes. And

  670. what he really likes for us to do is

  671. just kind of shift into this neutral

  672. state, this indifferent state where we

  673. just kind of maybe come to church out of

  674. a routine, but it's not something that

  675. really matters to us. And maybe we just

  676. kind of do the the Christian thing to

  677. kind of fit in or whatever. But Lord, we

  678. know that there's no room for neutral in

  679. the kingdom of God because choosing

  680. neutral is actually a choice to not

  681. worship at the throne of Jesus. And so

  682. Lord, I just want to give my brothers

  683. and sisters an opportunity to pray this

  684. morning for those who may be lost.

  685. There's probably some names that have

  686. come to your mind as I was preaching

  687. this message. And I just want to

  688. encourage you today, if that name comes

  689. to your mind, immediately pray for that

  690. person because there is power in prayer.

  691. You may never even know the way that God

  692. reaches this person, but he did call you

  693. to pray. And you could play a a huge

  694. part in them making a choice to move out

  695. from under God's wrath and into his

  696. grace. And for those in the sound of my

  697. voice that maybe have not made that

  698. decision yet. I'm not trying to talk you

  699. into anything. I'm not a a salesman. I'm

  700. just someone that studies the Bible and

  701. presents the message of God to you. And

  702. the message is very clear. Jesus loved

  703. you enough to choose to go to the cross

  704. for you to be put into that divine wine

  705. press to drink the cup of God's wrath

  706. toward sin to be have his blood poured

  707. out as a a drink offering for you.

  708. No one forced him to do that. He climbed

  709. up on that cross on his own. He could

  710. have got off that cross at any point.

  711. But it says in Hebrews that for the joy

  712. that's you that was set before him, he

  713. endured the horror of the cross.

  714. For the first time in his life, he was

  715. separated for his father for three days.

  716. And he did that because he wanted you to

  717. have a free gift of salvation. Something

  718. that you could never earn on your own.

  719. It's not enough good works in the world

  720. for you to be able to earn your

  721. forgiveness.

  722. All you have to do according to

  723. Ephesians is accept [music]

  724. the free gift that Jesus has given to

  725. you. So if that's you today and you want

  726. to accept that gift, you want to make

  727. things right, you want to move under the

  728. grace of God and worship at the throne

  729. of King Jesus and experience that

  730. immeasurable love, that that that

  731. amazing grace. If you want to to [music]

  732. do that today, to be at the foot of the

  733. cross, then all you have to do is say

  734. something like this. You can say it out

  735. loud or just say it in your head.

  736. [music]

  737. But just pray something like this. Say,

  738. "God, I know I'm a sinner

  739. and I need a savior

  740. and I know that savior's name is Jesus.

  741. I believe he's God's son.

  742. I believe he lived a perfect life.

  743. And I believe he died a sinner's death.

  744. But I also believe that he came back

  745. from the dead three days later,

  746. proving that he was God's son.

  747. So forgive me of my sin.

  748. I give my life to you

  749. today. I choose the way of Jesus.
