  1. Behind door number seven, you will see

  2. two cities. So this is a tale of two

  3. cities. You are either a citizen of

  4. Babylon or you are a citizen of New

  5. Jerusalem. Now you may physically live

  6. in Weeksville or East City or Pank or

  7. the Mills or Moyok or Kurtuk or you know

  8. we got people from all over. So you may

  9. physically have a house or an apartment

  10. or some somewhere to live in one of

  11. those those counties, those cities,

  12. those areas. But ultimately, your spirit

  13. lives in one of two places. And this is

  14. for the Christian and the non-Christian.

  15. Your spirit either lives in Babylon,

  16. which is governed by the red dragon, or

  17. it lives in New Jerusalem, which is

  18. governed by Jesus. Now, as we turn to

  19. Revelation 17, I want you to understand

  20. that this is one of those PG-13 passages

  21. of scripture in your Bible. In fact, if

  22. I probably if I just read through this

  23. chapter, uh YouTube would maybe even

  24. shut down our feed because of some of

  25. the words that would be coming out of my

  26. mouth. So, um just understand that this

  27. graphic imagery is there, but it's there

  28. for a purpose. God gives you this

  29. graphic imagery to bypass your intellect

  30. and to hit you in the fields. Like, if

  31. you read 17 and 18, it's going to make

  32. you feel some sort of way. And that's

  33. exactly the point. God is trying to get

  34. you to feel what he is talking about.

  35. So, uh, in this passage of scripture,

  36. we're going to be talking about a

  37. prostitute, a beast, and some kings.

  38. Now, these are not specific individuals.

  39. These are representatives of people that

  40. have existed throughout human history

  41. and will exist in the future. So in door

  42. number seven, we see a vision of a

  43. notorious woman who is clothed in purple

  44. and scarlet. She is wearing silver and

  45. gold and pearls. And she is drinking

  46. from a golden goblet that in verse four

  47. we find out contains everything

  48. detestable. And she is sitting on a

  49. scarlet beast that is covered with

  50. blasphemous names according to verse

  51. three. And she's hooking up with these

  52. kings. beside in verse one many waters.

  53. Okay, so this is kind of the imagery

  54. that's going on. So let's break it down.

  55. Let's figure out what is God trying to

  56. teach us in this passage. Well, first of

  57. all, we got to ask ourselves the

  58. question, who is this beast? Who is this

  59. beast that this notorious woman is

  60. setting upon? We learn that in verse

  61. seven of chapter 17.

  62. The angel came and said to me, "Why are

  63. you astonished? I will explain to you

  64. the mystery of the woman and of the

  65. beast with the seven heads and the t

  66. horns that carries her. The beast that

  67. you saw and is not and is about to come

  68. up from the abyss and go to destruction.

  69. Those who live on the earth whose names

  70. have not been written in the book of

  71. life from the foundation of the world

  72. will be astonished when they see the

  73. beast that was and is not and is to

  74. come. So the beast here is the same

  75. beast that is referred to in Revelation

  76. 13. And since we know there's nothing

  77. written in Revelation that is not

  78. written elsewhere in the Bible, this is

  79. also one of the two beasts or one of the

  80. four beasts that's talk about talked

  81. about in Daniel chapter 7. So the the

    Daniel 7 chapter mention

  82. beasts there are symbolic. They're

  83. symbolic of all the structures and the

  84. systems that this world has placed who

  85. attempt to uh move our worship and our

  86. attention and our affection away from

  87. God. So we're talking about stuff like

  88. businesses. We're talking about stuff

  89. like governments. We're talking about

  90. things like social media and false

  91. religions. And and what we know about

  92. this beast is this beast works for the

  93. red dragon to wage war against the

  94. people of God. And during our Christmas

  95. Eve service, we celebrated the fact that

  96. on Christmas day when Jesus was born, he

  97. symbolically just stomped the head of

  98. the enemy. And we celebrated the fact

  99. that we get to fight back against our

  100. enemy now because we have Jesus. We have

  101. our savior. We have the Holy Spirit. And

  102. through our our ministry efforts,

  103. through our serving others and sharing

  104. Jesus, we are fighting back against this

  105. enemy. So the red dragon sees that he is

  106. losing the battle. And so what he does

  107. is he tags in these two beasts to come

  108. and to help him at the secular level and

  109. actually at the religious level as well.

  110. So, so one beast was in charge of all

  111. the the secular things, the the

  112. businesses, the governments, the the

  113. social media to try to dissuade people

  114. from worshiping Jesus. Then you had this

  115. other beast that works at the religious

  116. level. These will be the false prophets

  117. that start quasi relian religions or

  118. even anti-Christian

  119. religions. So, specifically though for

  120. this passage, the beast that's being

  121. referred to here is the beast that works

  122. at the secular level. All right. So,

  123. setting on the beast, we have a

  124. notorious woman. So, who is this

  125. notorious woman? Well, in verse 5, we

  126. found out a little bit about her. Says,

  127. "On her forehead was written a name, a

  128. mystery. Babylon the Great, the mother

  129. of prostitutes and of the detestable

  130. things of the earth." So, first of all,

  131. if this is your first time in church, um

  132. we're not always this weird. Uh so, just

  133. keep that in mind. Um but we do study

  134. the Bible and uh it's part of it. So,

  135. how would you like that to be your

  136. epitap, by the way? Like, mother of

  137. prostitutes, detestable things. Like,

  138. you wouldn't want that on your your

  139. resume for sure. But that's on her

  140. resume. And as we talked about before,

  141. though, remember this. Everything that

  142. is written on your head and your hand

  143. comes from your ideology. And so, what

  144. we're getting a picture of is the

  145. ideology of the notorious woman. You do

  146. what you do because you think what you

  147. think. So head and hands are tied

  148. together. And this notorious woman's

  149. ideology is directly opposed to that of

  150. Jesus. And it comes through in her

  151. actions as she starts a city, a city

  152. called Babylon that represents all of

  153. humanity's desires to to rebel against

  154. God. All of our insatiable desires for

  155. for pleasure and comfort and more and

  156. money and all that stuff. That's that's

  157. what she builds for us. It's a city of

  158. pleasures. Matt Chandler says of this

  159. woman, "She is lewd, yet we can't take

  160. our eyes off of her. We know it's wrong,

  161. yet we are drawn toward her. The

  162. notorious woman is the architect of all

  163. things that are antirist."

  164. So, where is she seated? Well, we read

  165. that in verse one. She is seated on many

  166. waters. What does that mean? Well,

  167. thankfully, we have an angel that came

  168. down from heaven to tell us exactly what

  169. that means. In verse 15, the waters you

  170. saw where the prostitute was seated are

  171. peoples, multitudes, nations, and

  172. languages. So the notorious woman is

  173. seated near the people of the earth.

  174. This isn't in the future. This notorious

  175. woman is seated near the people of the

  176. earth. She is always active. She is

  177. always wooing you into her city of

  178. Babylon.

  179. Now, we have to ask a question. Is she

  180. seated in a real city? Is there a city

  181. somewhere out there in the world that we

  182. can point out and say, "Yep, that's

  183. where she's at." Well, here we we read

  184. in verse 9 that this calls for a mind of

  185. wisdom. The seven heads are the seven

  186. mountains on which the woman is seated.

  187. So, at this time when this book was

  188. written, Rome was the world power. And

  189. Rome is situated geographically between

  190. seven mountains. In fact, they had a

  191. festival called the festival of the

  192. seven mountains. So is this notorious

  193. woman seated in Rome? Well, we also

  194. learn that she is seated beside many

  195. waters. And the real city of ancient

  196. Babylon in the Old Testament is a city

  197. that geographically is situated by many

  198. waters. So are we talking about Babylon

  199. back then? Are we talking about Rome

  200. now? Like what are we talk Well, yes.

  201. We're talking about all those places and

  202. more. the the notorious woman

  203. symbolically is seated over all of the

  204. pagan cities that have ever been built

  205. or will ever be built in the future. So,

  206. let's study her a little bit more in

  207. depth. Who is she really? Like, we see

  208. who she is on the surface, the the

  209. jewels and the pearls and all that, but

  210. but who is this woman really? Well,

  211. verse 18 says, "The woman you saw in the

  212. great city that rules over the kings of

  213. the earth." So, we know this about her.

  214. She is able to attract the kings of the

  215. earth. Kings are drawn to her opulence.

  216. But not just kings. This is a reference

  217. to the church as well. We're not just

  218. talking about non-believers, people that

  219. don't worship Jesus. We're talking about

  220. people within the church that are drawn

  221. to the city of Babylon. Think about

  222. this. The Apostle John is coming off of

  223. a vision where he saw the seven cups of

  224. God's wrath being poured out upon

  225. humanity. He has been spending every day

  226. one onone with Jesus. And yet when he

  227. sees this notorious woman in verse 6, it

  228. says that he was greatly astonished.

  229. The Apostle John was not above being

  230. attracted to this notorious woman. He

  231. was greatly

  232. astonished.

  233. He's looking at this woman. He's like,

  234. "Oh, she's pretty."

  235. He's hanging out with Jesus every day.

  236. Yet when he sees this woman, he is

  237. attracted to her. He is astounded by

  238. what he sees. And so this this angel has

  239. to come and snap John out of his stuper

  240. to be like, whoa, whoa. It says in uh

  241. verse 7, why are you astonished? Why are

  242. you astonished, John? Let's break the

  243. trance for a second and let me tell you

  244. exactly who she is. See, friends,

  245. Babylon is not some faux utopia that's

  246. going to happen in the future. thousands

  247. of years from now. No, it's attainable

  248. comfort. It is pleasure. It is

  249. self-indulgence. It's all the things

  250. that appeal to our fleshly desires. All

  251. the things that distract us from

  252. worshiping King Jesus. And it's

  253. attracting Christian citizens right now

  254. to leave New Jerusalem and to build

  255. their homes in Babylon. So this angel

  256. comes down thankfully and says, "Hey,

  257. John, let me show you who this woman

  258. really is.

  259. She's wooing you into her city by

  260. promising you pleasures that she cannot

  261. deliver upon." And friends, this has

  262. been the tactic of the dragon ever since

  263. he fell to earth. Genesis chapter 3,

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  264. Adam and Eve, the dragon comes to them

  265. and says, "Hey, hey, God is holding out

  266. on you. There's something better."

  267. They're standing in the Garden of Eden.

  268. They're standing in the most perfect

  269. place that has ever been created. But

  270. when the dragon comes to them and says,

  271. "Oh, by the way, there's something

  272. better for you. God is holding out."

  273. They give into that temptation. So if

  274. Adam and Eve would give into that

  275. temptation while standing in the middle

  276. of paradise, who am I to think that this

  277. notorious woman would not be able to woo

  278. me out of my city into hers? It's the

  279. same tactic. The problem is the

  280. notorious woman's promises run contrary

  281. to every single thing that Jesus has

  282. ever taught us. If you just look at the

  283. biatitudes in Matthew chapter 5,

    Matthew 5 chapter mention

  284. everything that the woman talks about is

  285. in direct opposition to the biatitudes

  286. that are given to us in Matthew chapter

    Matthew 5 chapter mention

  287. 5 by Jesus himself. Jesus says, "Blessed

  288. are the

  289. the poor in spirit."

  290. Jesus says, "Blessed are the poor." What

  291. does the woman say? She says, "Blessed

  292. are the wealthy." Jesus says, "Blessed

  293. are those who are persecuted in my

  294. name." What does the woman say? "Blessed

  295. are those who persecute others." These

  296. are two different kingdoms. These are

  297. two different cities with opposing

  298. values. And it's been that way since the

  299. beginning of time. The very first child

  300. of Adam and Eve was a man by the name of

  301. Cain. And Cain killed his brother Abel.

  302. And then he builds an evil city called

  303. Enoch or Enoch. Babylon was named after

  304. a real city, the city of Babel. The city

  305. where the people got together and said,

  306. "Hey, we don't need God. We can be God.

  307. So, we're just going to build a tower

  308. all the way up to heaven so we can be

  309. gods ourselves."

  310. The Roman coliseum, I read, was probably

  311. built on the with the gold and silver

  312. that was stolen from the destruction of

  313. the temple in Jerusalem. Pharaoh used

  314. Jewish slaves to build his empire in

  315. Egypt. The the notorious woman

  316. represents all of these cities and more,

  317. all these pagan nations that have come

  318. to to oppose God. So the question is

  319. why? Why do people fall for this? Well,

  320. in Psalmap 2:1, we we were asked that

  321. question. We get an answer. Says, "Why

  322. do the nations rage and the people plot

  323. in vain? The kings of the earth take

  324. their stand and the rulers conspire

  325. together against the Lord and his

  326. anointed one." This is a messianic

  327. prophecy. This is talking about what

  328. would happen when Jesus was born. How

  329. the the world and the cities would

  330. continue to stand against God and his

  331. anointed one. But why? Why do they fall?

  332. Well, they fall because they're falling

  333. for the lies of the notorious woman. The

  334. angel is exposing the real truth about

  335. this notorious woman. She has the

  336. ability to make promises, but she does

  337. not have the power to keep them.

  338. We learn later on that if you or your

  339. household

  340. chase after the temporary pleasures of

  341. the world, then you will move into

  342. Babylon, but then Babylon will turn its

  343. back on you. So, let's look at the the

  344. city a little bit more in depth. What is

  345. Babylon the Great? What is this city all

  346. about? Well, we get a second angel that

  347. comes in and tells John some more

  348. specifics about this city and what it's

  349. all about. In chapter 18:2

  350. we learn that in the future this city

  351. will fall. The angel says, "Fallen,

  352. fallen is Babylon the great. She has

  353. become a dwelling for demons and a haunt

  354. for every impure spirit. A haunt for

  355. every unclean bird, a haunt for every

  356. unclean and detestable animal." But

  357. here's the interesting part. Ask

  358. yourself, how did Babylon fall?

  359. See, in the past, I would have just

  360. said, "Well, God God crushed Babylon,

  361. the evil city. God knocks down the evil

  362. city, right?" No, that's not at all what

  363. happened here. If you go back to chapter

  364. 17, verse 16,

  365. it says, "The beast and the t horns you

  366. saw will hate the prostitute. They will

  367. be they will bring her to ruin. The

  368. beast turns heel against the notorious

  369. woman. She and all the citizens of her

  370. kingdom become demonized. Not

  371. demonpossessed, but demonized.

  372. Demonized. That's why the church can get

  373. can get caught up into this because you

  374. can't be possessed when you're full of

  375. the Holy Spirit, but you can be

  376. demonized. And one author said that the

  377. way to think about that is kind of like

  378. the demons are a tick. They don't

  379. possess you, but once they attach

  380. themselves to you, they they start to

  381. drain your life force. They they start

  382. to make you you sick and you don't even

  383. know why you're sick. You just know that

  384. you're not feeling right. Well, that's

  385. what happens. These the these demons,

  386. they attach themselves now to the

  387. notorious woman and the citizens that

  388. live in Babylon. She's being used and

  389. abused by the beast. You see, Satan

  390. doesn't even have any love for her. He

  391. doesn't have any love for the people

  392. that move into his city. He has no love

  393. for anyone but himself.

  394. So she served her purpose and the

  395. citizens of Babylon have served their

  396. purpose. And now the enemy is done with

  397. them. So the beast leaves her anxious

  398. and addicted. And it's the same thing

  399. that the beast will do to you and or

  400. your family when they move into the city

  401. of Babylon. It looks beautiful on the

  402. outside, but once you get there and once

  403. the enemy is done with you, they will

  404. leave you addicted and anxious. So you

  405. get what you think you need. They'll

  406. give you what you need for a time, but

  407. then eventually they'll withhold those

  408. things from you. Sex, money, power,

  409. whatever you chased into that city.

  410. You'll receive it for a temporary time,

  411. but then it will be taken from you and

  412. you'll have no long you you no longer

  413. will have access to it. And what happens

  414. to people is when they don't have access

  415. to this thing that they have worshiped,

  416. this thing that they thought they needed

  417. in their life. When that's taken away

  418. from them, they're broken and left alone

  419. and they're they're anxious and they're

  420. worried because that pillar that they

  421. built their life on is no longer there.

  422. Friends, there is only one source of

  423. joy. There is only one source of lasting

  424. security. There is only one source of

  425. peace and that is through a personal

  426. relationship with Jesus Christ.

  427. And that's why the enemy builds a city

  428. that Jesus is not invited to be a part

  429. of. Life in Babylon always leaves you

  430. fallen. It always leaves you broken. It

  431. always leaves you demonized, haunted,

  432. alone, and surrounded by detestable

  433. things. The angel continues the vision

  434. in verse 21 of chapter 18.

  435. Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder

  436. the size of a large millstone and threw

  437. it into the sea and said, "With such

  438. violence, the great city of Babylon will

  439. be thrown down, never to be found

  440. again."

  441. So here's the good news. Here's the

  442. encouragement for today. If you live in

  443. Babylon, you can still move out before

  444. that city is destroyed.

  445. Christians, non-Christians, hear me. If

  446. you live in Babylon, you can still move

  447. out before that city is destroyed.

  448. So, so people who have been seduced by

  449. the notorious woman, who have been wooed

  450. away from Jesus by all the shiny and and

  451. things of the world, they they can still

  452. move out of the city before it's too

  453. late. So, let's let's check Zillow.

  454. Let's see what's available. Let's call

  455. our real estate agent. Let's let's see

  456. where we can go. Let's get out of

  457. Babylon before it's too late. And so,

  458. the question is, well, how do you do

  459. that? I'm going to give you three

  460. practical steps to get out of Babylon

  461. today.

  462. They come out of chapter 18 verse4.

  463. Then I heard another voice from heaven

  464. say, "Come out of her, my people." I I

  465. believe this is the voice of of Jesus

  466. speaking to John. Then I heard another

  467. voice from heaven say, "Come out of her,

  468. my people, so that you will not share in

  469. her sins, so that you will not receive

  470. any of her plagues."

  471. So this whole time you might have been

  472. saying, "Well, no, this is a message for

  473. people that aren't Christians." No. Who

  474. comes out of Babylon?

  475. My people. God's people. These are

  476. Christians who have uprooted their lives

  477. in New Jerusalem and moved into Babylon.

  478. And now God is saying, "Look, it's not

  479. too late. I love you. I have a house for

  480. you right here in glory. I just need you

  481. to move into it." How do you do it?

  482. Number one, you share Jesus. This is our

  483. church mission statement as well, by the

  484. way. You share Jesus. Do not friends,

  485. please hear me. Do not hate the citizens

  486. of Babylon.

  487. This world wants you to hate the

  488. citizens of Babylon. Jesus does not want

  489. you to hate the citizens of Babylon.

  490. Jesus tells us that our battle is

  491. against the spiritual authorities, the

  492. spiritual principal principalities. We

  493. are fighting an enemy, but our enemy is

  494. the notorious woman. Our enemy is the

  495. red dragon. That our enemy is the two

  496. beasts. Our enemy are the ticks, the

  497. demons. Those are our enemies. And those

  498. are the things that we should be

  499. fighting, not the people. God gave John

  500. this vision ahead of time to encourage

  501. people to move out of Babylon and to

  502. move into New Jerusalem. This is an

  503. evangelistic passage of scripture. And

  504. and one of the coolest things that can

  505. happen is if if you were a citizen of

  506. Babylon for any amount of time, then you

  507. know what it's like to live there. So

  508. you are uniquely equipped to talk to the

  509. people who are still citizens of

  510. Babylon. You can let them know how you

  511. were used and abused while you were a

  512. citizen of Babylon and how Jesus made

  513. your life better when you moved back

  514. into New Jerusalem.

  515. Use your testimony. Don't be ashamed of

  516. who you were. use that as motivation, as

  517. power to help other people uproot their

  518. lives in Babylon and move into God's

  519. grace and God's love and God's mercy. So

  520. share your faith. And when you do that,

  521. when you share the gospel with people,

  522. you are solidifying your own house, your

  523. own citizenship in New Jerusalem.

  524. Because the Bible says that that

  525. citizens of the kingdom of God are

  526. people that share their faith. And so in

  527. doing so, you're just making sure that

  528. you're in the right place. Number two,

  529. serve others. Serve others. You can do

  530. this in three ways. Number one, you give

  531. your treasure. Talking about tithe,

  532. talking about sacrificial giving,

  533. whatever you believe, whether it's 10%

  534. or more than that, that's up to you. But

  535. we are talking about giving money to the

  536. ministries of your local church. Why

  537. would we want to do that? Just to to pay

  538. the pastor's salary. Well, yeah, that's

  539. part of it. But to keep the lights on?

  540. Yes, that's part of it. But Jesus says

  541. where your treasure is, there your

  542. heart will be also. So if you are

  543. investing in the things of God, in the

  544. ministries of God, then it just shows

  545. that your heart is in New Jerusalem. It

  546. shows that you are a a person that lives

  547. in the kingdom of God. That's why we've

  548. been trying to introduce you to the

  549. different ministries of the church and

  550. the different ministry leaders of the

  551. church because we want you to see what

  552. you're investing in. We want you to see

  553. how your your giving is allowing us to

  554. share the gospel and serve other people

  555. in their context. But we don't want you

  556. to just give your treasure. We want you

  557. to give your time. We want you to give

  558. your time. See, we try to create a place

  559. for everyone to use their unique

  560. spiritual gifts in the local body of

  561. believers that we call the church. We we

  562. we talk about it. We put people on the

  563. stage so you can see the ministry

  564. leaders faces and what they do. We have

  565. an app that you can go to where you can

  566. look at all the different ministry

  567. opportunities. We have social media. We

  568. have our our bulletin that Kay puts

  569. together for us each week that talks

  570. about the different ministries. And we

  571. do that because we want everyone here to

  572. serve in some type of a ministry

  573. capacity. Because as you you serve, it

  574. means you are putting God's kingdom

  575. first. And there's a promise that Jesus

  576. gave us. When you seek first the kingdom

  577. of God, what happens? Anybody remember?

  578. What was that?

  579. Yeah. Yeah. You seek the kingdom of God

  580. first and all that you need will be

  581. given to you. So if you want to know

  582. whether or not you're in the kingdom of

  583. God or not, then you serve other people

  584. with your time and you see that God will

  585. continually meet your needs every time

  586. you give. You can't outgive God. Number

  587. three, I would say let's give some

  588. encouragement. Let's give some

  589. encouragement to people. Every year it

  590. seems like there are fewer and fewer

  591. encouragers in this world. Uptick in

  592. critics, downtick in encouragers. So you

  593. say, "What what's encouragement have to

  594. do with being a citizen of the kingdom

  595. of heaven?" Well, everything there

  596. literally I I looked up on uh I had AI

  597. look up all the verses talking about

  598. encouragement. There's over 30 verses in

  599. the New Testament alone talking about

  600. what it means to be an encourager. These

  601. are just a few of them. 1 Thessalonians

    1 Thessalonians 5:11

  602. 5:11, "Therefore, encourage one another

  603. and build each other up." Ephesians

    Ephesians 4:29

  604. 4:29, "Let no discouraging talk come out

  605. of your mouths, but only what is good

  606. for building one another up." Romans

    Romans 15:5

  607. 15:5, "Bear with the failings of the

  608. weak. Not everybody's perfect. We're

  609. going to screw up." We know that. So, we

  610. need your encouragement. It says, "Not

  611. to please ourselves, but to build up

  612. your neighbor for their good." Romans

    Romans 15:5

  613. 15:5, "May the God who gives endurance

  614. and encouragement give you the same

  615. attitude and mind toward one another."

  616. Hebrews 3:13, "But encourage one another

    Hebrews 3:13

  617. every day." Hebrews 10:24, "Let us

    Hebrews 10:24

  618. consider how we may spur one another on

  619. toward love and good works." 1 John 4 7

  620. and 8. Dear friends, let us love one

  621. another because love is from God and

  622. everyone who loves has been born of God

  623. and knows God. The one who does not love

  624. does not know God because God is love.

  625. And then my personal favorite, Proverbs

  626. 12 26, anxiety in a person's heart

  627. weighs them down, but a good word makes

  628. them glad.

  629. There's a lot of anxious people out

  630. there, and a lot of times it's because

  631. we haven't encouraged them enough. So if

  632. you want people to get better at what

  633. they do in any context, then the best

  634. thing you can do for them is to

  635. encourage them. Because when they're

  636. anxious, they're not as effective. But

  637. when they're confident, they're more

  638. effective. So encouragement, what a

  639. great word for us to to focus on in

  640. 2026. And then finally, the third thing

  641. you can do is very simple. Just see the

  642. truth. I'm so glad you're here today.

  643. I'm so glad that you're listening to

  644. this word because this is just revealing

  645. truth to you. You need to be able to see

  646. Babylon for what it is. Yes, it's

  647. attractive, but it is destined to fall.

  648. You don't want to be there when that

  649. happens. And then number two, we got to

  650. see the notorious woman for who she is.

  651. She is a liar and she is haunted by

  652. demons. You don't want any part of what

  653. she is offering you. So, Father, I just

  654. want to close by

  655. praying for those who have chosen to

  656. build their home in Babylon.

  657. Lord, it's not a it's not a shame to to

  658. admit that because the enemy is tricky.

  659. The enemy is deceitful. The enemy is

  660. really good at what he does. This

  661. notorious woman, the representative of

  662. the city of Babylon, they are really,

  663. really good at what they do. And so it

  664. is no shame at all to have been wooed

  665. away from the the love of Jesus into

  666. this this place that seems so perfect on

  667. the outside but is so broken on the

  668. inside. So I just pray for my brothers

  669. and sisters today if anybody is is

  670. starting to feel that draw to move to

  671. Babylon. If maybe they've already set up

  672. shop there, maybe they they they live

  673. there now. Lord, I just pray that you

  674. would help them to see the reality of

  675. their situation, to see that you're not

  676. mad at them, that you love them. and you

  677. gave John this vision because you want

  678. them to move back into your loving

  679. kingdom where you can be their father

  680. where you can care for them and love

  681. them perfectly throughout all of

  682. eternity. So Lord, I pray today that if

  683. that's weighing on the hearts of

  684. someone, Lord, that maybe they would see

  685. the reality of where they're at and go

  686. ahead and put their house on the market,

  687. Lord, that they would start to to serve

  688. others. That they would start to to

  689. share the gospel, share their testimony,

  690. that they would start to to give of

  691. their time and their talent and their

  692. treasure and to to give their

  693. encouragement to those who need it and

  694. to just see the enemy for who he is so

  695. that they won't fall back into those

  696. temptations. And in doing so, Lord, they

  697. just cement their their their legacy in

  698. your kingdom. Lord, I pray for those

  699. that maybe haven't really chosen yet,

  700. Lord, that those that haven't given

  701. their lives to Jesus. I just pray that

  702. today would be a great day for their

  703. salvation, Lord, that you would help

  704. them to see how much you love them and

  705. how much you want a personal

  706. relationship with them. And I pray that

  707. today they would just pray a very simple

  708. prayer. Just say something like, "I know

  709. I'm a sinner and I need a savior." And I

  710. believe that savior's name is Jesus.

  711. and I give my life to him.

  712. Forgive me. Save me. I make you the Lord

  713. of my life. Just a simple prayer like

  714. that. And the Holy Spirit says that he

  715. will come in and seal your salvation and

  716. fill you with the spirit of God. And

  717. we'll begin to bring blessing upon

  718. blessing to you as you get these

  719. spiritual gifts that you can use in your

  720. church context. So Lord, if any prayed

  721. that prayer today, I just want to

  722. celebrate with them and encourage them

  723. to let someone know about the decision

  724. they made so we can help them take some

  725. next steps as well. Lord, as we get

  726. ready to draw into our time of communion

  727. as a faith family, I pray that if

  728. there's anything on our hearts and minds

  729. that would separate us from focusing on

  730. what this is, which is a a picture of

  731. Jesus on the cross, his body broken, his

  732. blood spilled for our salvation. Lord, I

  733. pray that you would help us to focus on

  734. on that that picture that you're drawing

  735. for for us as we take the bread and the

  736. cup as we celebrate the the relationship

  737. that we have with you, Jesus. I pray

  738. that in these moments that we would

  739. really be drawn to the foot of the cross

  740. and also realize that we are not alone

  741. in this that around this room and the

  742. people watching online that are part of

  743. this church. Father, we we know that we

  744. have a family, a faith family that we

  745. can turn to in our times of need, a

  746. faith family that we can encourage as

  747. they step out in ministry. So Lord, help

  748. us to draw together as a little branch

  749. of your family tree right here at Sawers

  750. Creek. It's in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

  751. This time you stand as we sing. We're

  752. going to have a song of invitation. So

  753. if you need to come and pray, I'll be

  754. right up here to pray with you. If you'd

  755. like to make use of the altar and pray,

  756. uh the altar is available to you as

  757. well.

  758. Let's worship together.

  759. Oh Lord my God,

  760. when I in awome

  761. wonder

  762. all

  763. the world thy hands have made.

  764. I see the stars.

  765. I hear the rolling thunder.

  766. Thy power throughout

  767. the universe

  768. displays

  769. my soul,

  770. my savior God to thee.

  771. How great thou are.

  772. How great thou

  773. my soul

  774. to thee.

  775. How great thou are.

  776. How great.
