Hey there, you're listening to the Generations Church podcast. We pray that the
-
word of God today will challenge, change and channel you into your God given
-
destiny. Now let's get started. So why another church? When God say
-
go do this? I'm like, why another one? What's so unique about
-
you? What can you do that I cannot do? What's so great?
-
Nothing? I'll tell you why. It's very simple. Matthew twenty eight,
-
Verse nineteen to twenty says, go there for and make disciples of all nations
-
and baptizing them in the name of the Fathers and Holy Spirit, teaching them
-
to observe all they have commanded you. And behold, I'm with you always
-
to the end of the age. The word all nations here is the word
-
eth nos. It means ethnic. That's where the word ethnic come from.
-
Eth Nos types of people, groups of people. Yeah, so you can
-
group them by race, you can put them by language, you can group
-
them by countries. You can group them by in biker ethnicity or I don't
-
know, basketballers or like, uh whatever, TikTokers. Hey, God said
-
to reach everybody, all kinds of people, So why not a church so
-
we can do this? Mark sixteen fifteen says, and he said to them,
-
go into all the world and claim hospital for the whole of creation.
-
This word world is a different one. It's the word cosmos, cosmos,
-
and it's living longer. Definition is three slices. You won't remember this,
-
but it's okay. It's talking about nations, order, all these other things,
-
the circle of the earth, inhabitants of the earth. You know,
-
some people live in villages, some people live in Arda mansara. Some people
-
live in high rise condos, some live on the ground, some live on
-
the beach. God says to Prisons, gospel to everyone. Can one church
-
do this or so? Why a church so that we can join hands and
-
obey God's command to preach the gospel to everyone, young, old, fat
-
thing, good looking, better looking girl, guy, and the confused.
-
That is why another church. And that's my reason why, at least that's
-
my reason why. I'm not here to do better than you. I'm not
-
here to do better than the other one. I'm not here to prove anything.
-
I just want more people to know Jesus. We want to be known
-
as a church for all generations. And I want to take the liberty to
-
kind of interchange the word generation with eth Nos and Cosmos, all generations,
-
people who like the church, people who hate the church. Wow, how
-
could it would it be to be a church that people just can't come to
-
church? I hate you, but I'll come anyway. Okay, great?
-
Great, because all issues includes you, brother and sister. Why not a
-
church so we can do this a church for all generations. But we do
-
want to focus on the next generation the majority. And I don't mean we
-
want to be a youth church. I hope there will be a lot of
-
youth in our church. That's my passion. It's my soft spot. I
-
won't deny it. It's my soft pot. I love young people. But
-
it's not just a church for the young people. You know, when God
-
spoke to me about being a church that focuses on next gen, I actually
-
argue and bargain with God. I said, God, can I just tell
-
people I just want to be church? And God, I have this conversation
-
going and goes like, why you want to say that, I said,
-
God, Can I just can inot say next gen? Why I gave you
-
the vision? Why would you not tell people that it's a church that focus
-
on next gen? I said, Because then only the young people will come.
-
Okay, what's wrong with that? Then the older ones won't come?
-
Okay, what's wrong with that? Then dishes will have no money. I'm
-
being very real with you, right, and God's like, Okay, here's
-
how God mensa to me. He said, Andy, are you not a
-
parent? I said, yes, I am a father. I have two
-
kids. Okay, what do you think every parents vision, you know in
-
the world is what's their vision? What? Why? Why do they exist?
-
What do they go to work for? What? What do they exist?
-
Oh? For their children, for the next generation. Right? Don't
-
we choose where we live thinking about o kids? Who we choose the cow
-
we buy thinking about our kids in the budgets our life because we've got kids.
-
And God says, I want the church to be like this. The
-
parents will come and you must go to Bible schools so we can teach them
-
properly. Amen to to be a church that has a parent heart to it's
-
always thinking and planning for the future the young people. Amen. That's why
-
we reserved seats for the young people. Normally let the older one set and
-
I respect that. So the older ones have seats, Yes, but I
-
want the young people to know you are you are v I p You're not
-
some back seats, some rejecteds. Some no more space than you. No,
-
you're important. Amen. So we have named texts for you. You
-
thought your seats. So it's a church for all generations with a focus on
-
the next starting with it now that so now with a mind and I and
-
vision on the next. Amen. So why not a judge? No enough
-
to just enough, but also not enough because reach allations, all ownations.
-
I don't know the reas people play my job. I really don't. I
-
don't blame my job. I don't understand my job. I can't reach them.
-
Somebody he has to reach them, start of my jung church. I
-
don't know. The next version is why next gen? Why a focus on
-
young people? Matthew eighteen one to six. At the time the disciples came
-
to Jesus saying, who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven and calling
-
to him, Jesus just called to him a child. He put him in
-
the midst of them and said, truly, I say to you, unless
-
you he's speaking to adults, unless you turn or the word convert. It's
-
the same way as repentance. Unless you changed your mind, change the way
-
you think, and start thinking like young people again. You will never enter
-
the team of Heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in
-
the King of Heaven. Whoever received one such chout in my name receives me.
-
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin,
-
it will be better for him frowards to have a great milestone fastened around
-
his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. God loves
-
young people and the word child here is the word pidion, and it means
-
young child, a little boy or little girl. There's all those things influenced
-
baby children, But metaphorically is children in intellect. Think like a young person.
-
Remember how you dreamt as a young person. Nothing was impossible than right.
-
Any job will do. I wanted to be a policeman because I watch
-
a lot of Hong Kong police dramas. Whenever I watch I want to become
-
Until somebody to me not possible. As we grew older, more and more
-
people say that's not possible, that's not realistic, that doesn't make money.
-
But God wants us to convert our minds, our heart and become younger again,
-
Why next gen? Because God loves young people. God loves young people
-
so much he thought the adults would be like them. First Timity four to
-
Alve says, let no one despise your youth, but be an example to
-
the believers. The new the King Jin's version said, be an example of
-
the believers. That means all of your believers, the young one, can
-
you be an example? You can represent the rest of us. Can the
-
young people represent the rest of the church and show the world what Christianity is.
-
Don't let someone despise your age, your youth, but being a sample
-
to or off the believers in what very specific in word, in conduct,
-
in love, in spirit, in faith, impurity. Amen. And that's
-
why we want to go into all the world, even the world of young
-
people, the world of business people, the world of entrepreneurs, the world
-
of musicians, going to all the world and print the gospel. That's why
-
another church. But why next gen? Because they need to be an example.
-
So question, well, the word let me talk about another Greek word
-
first, the word young. Here is the word notice is the word youth
-
or youthful age. That means you can be sixty five and this scripture still
-
applies to you if you if you have a young spirit. Imen. The
-
next generation is not here to replace the previous generation, but to reinforce the
-
previous generation. So the older ones don't worry you're you're not retiring so soon.
-
We're not here to kick you out of a job. We're gonna work
-
together. The young people have energy, the older ones have wisdom. We
-
need both because if you just energy your bang walls, we wisdom. They
-
say, use the door, you'll still get there. Amen. So a
-
questioner, if the next generation are caught to be an example, who's going
-
to be an example to them? Amen? The one who have been young
-
before. Amen. So we need to work together. So what's so different?
-
What's the different when we're talking about pastor this one? My pastor is
-
so preaching my church, I preaching my church. What's so different? Can
-
I be really honest with you, here's the answer, really nothing much.
-
Generations here is not trying to be different than every nation. We're not.
-
Hey, this it's too small a dream. Huh you mean just just starts
-
to be different than the other one. What's the point going to all the
-
world and be different? No, man, go into all the world.
-
God spoke this to the Anglican Church, the Lutheran Church, the Metrict Church,
-
the Baptist Church, the still finding out who they are church, to
-
go into all the world. We're not here to compete. We're not here
-
to compare. Can I see this from my heart? Really? What's so
-
different about Gersey Church? Really? Nothing much? Nothing. We worship the
-
same God, nothing much should be different really, actually, if you think
-
about it, if you shouldn't be different, that shouldn't been a focus.
-
And for those of you who are not Christians saying you do't know what I'm
-
talking about, Christians, like everybody else, befinre each other. We shouldn't
-
and I know you don't understand us, but hope we can all do better.
-
What's so different? Why? Why is that even the question? Why
-
are we focused on differences? No, we're not here to try to be
-
different. We are the same. It's the same God. We should have
-
the same purpose, same yet distinct, not different distinct. I can preach
-
the same message with a different extent by the same message, right, So
-
we are to be same in heart, distinct in our art. Like I
-
said, I can't reach Mujong people I don't understand the game cricket, Oh,
-
no football, bring it on same in a message distinct in our methods.
-
Now back to the Great Commission going through all the world. That's why
-
we're here. So why another church so that one more church can help in
-
the Great Commission. We're here to join hands with everybody else to do this.
-
I just came back from a conference in Amsterdam, and mainly this is
-
what it's all about. The Global Church. One hundred and fifteen nations gathered
-
together. Alpha was there, Louis Paula was there, Blie Graham, Rick
-
War and everybody was there, which is there for one purpose. Let's reach
-
the whole globe, every single human being. Let's reach them with a message
-
of Jesus by twenty thirty three, that's ten years time. Seriously, all
-
of your messagingis can one church do it? Can one movement do it?
-
Can ten church? Just do it? No way? There are eight billion
-
people in this world, eight billion people. Imagine basically, it's okay,
-
we need everyone to reach everyone. We need everyone to reach everyone. Imagine
-
if every Christian worked together to reach the loss. What if every Christian reached
-
the loss together? There are eight billion people on Earth. Two billion are
-
known to be Christians. I know, some going and go to church,
-
some watch online, some do give tithes, some fighting, ots, whatever.
-
Are okay. But if all two billion truly live as Christians, there
-
is the six billion left that are not. And if your math is as
-
bad as mine, then it's one to three, yes or no. One
-
to three. What if you fast and pray and put all your resources every
-
year to reach just one person? Do you know we can finish the Greek
-
Commission in three years time? It's been two thousand oh years, my friend,
-
because we focus on our differences. My church is better nice my house
-
speaker. No, we need everyone to reach everyone. Hey man, it
-
is actually doable. I know it's a very idealistic vision. Idealistic, yes,
-
but we save a God who for whom nothing is impossible. It can
-
be done so. But the key is twogether generations. Church is not here
-
to exist on our own. We're here to exist together. It's the body
-
of Christ. We don't ask you this. You're okay? You okay or
-
not? You stands for unity. We've gotta be united. We're not here
-
to fight. Why not a church ten people take the chest later? Twenty
-
people be faster if we are here to stack up CHESSA when fire you are
-
dancing over there and another two plans and of course cannot get done. But
-
if you all focus, is it any wrong if we get more people to
-
stack up chess? See? As long as we are united in our vision
-
and our heart. Amen. But you know what's better than unity, remember
-
you? Okay? Oh, it's oneness. Gee, Jesus pray that the
-
disciples, there's many of us in this room, that we may be one
-
fus unite and a Now all our unity you can see on the in the
-
news. Because you want to win election. People who used to fight also
-
they can unite. Unity is easy when you have a common goal or a
-
common enemy. One that's is something else altogether. And so Jesus never prayed
-
that my disciples may be united. He prayed that my disciples may be one.
-
You know what other places the word one is used marriage, and the
-
two shall become one, not to be divorced, not to be put asunder.
-
You know where else is the world one is used. I and my
-
father are one. And Jesus praised that my disciples may be one. One
-
is a whole other level. One needs this a ifact. Just use this
-
praise the verses before the Worse where he said what he told the father,
-
what's yours is mine, what's mine is yours? There we say this,
-
what's mine is yours, what's yours is mine. I'm not sure if that's
-
the case now. No, I'm serious, I'm serious. That's what needs
-
to be different. Other things we should be the same. Reach the world
-
with the gospel, that's all. What really needs to be different is the
-
way we think. If God blesses us with two youth, fast us.
-
You can take one. We'll pay your salary or her salary for the first
-
year or something. I don't know. We'll work out something now. But
-
we're here to serve. We're here to do this together. Amen. What
-
do I need? Thirty some men more? And I want to do with
-
them? How to schedule them? There's not ney what services to schedule them?
-
Take some luck? If God blesses me like you out, just remain
-
small and KITCHI and you know God words, just to just okay. So
-
because it's not about size on numbers, it's about reaching the world all generations.
-
To us means young people, the people who in the business, world,
-
entrepreneur, world, creative, wor because that's me. But also the
-
ones that currently maybe find the church very appalling because maybe they're from the LGBTQ
-
community or their cross dresses and transgenders, and they got no place to go.
-
But God said all nations, and God sait all the world, all
-
kinds of people, all groups of people. I don't have the strategy yet,
-
but you're definitely welcoming the church, and let's figure this out together.
-
We're gonna preach the Bible heart, preach the truth, but love people heart
-
as well. Away in this together case or kingdom, the part of th
-
kingdom is the same king, Amen, John seventeen twenty one. That they
-
may all be one, just as you, Father, and me and I
-
in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world
-
may believe, So that the world may believe. We fight how to believe.
-
Let's not do that. Let's be one church, one kingdom, and
-
let's finish this task reach everybody with the gospel. And there's so many tools
-
around that we can share and use. Imen So it's not about what's mine,
-
it's not about what's yours. It's what's ours. It's our father in
-
heaven, not limp pain in heaven, not ba back out in heaven.
-
Way, not my father, our father in heaven. So homme account boom
-
No, whether a small pictures whatever, No, we got like fifty fifty
-
campus girl or half of campus whatever we want to surf. We're here to
-
work together. Amen, this is what needs to be different. You know
-
when when when? When? When the who are someone? When the Samaritan
-
woman asks Jesus, oh, how should we worship a h Your people say,
-
must worship there, that's Jerusalem, and then my people say, must
-
worship on the mountain. How the worship are know? How Jesus answered,
-
was worshiped in spirit and in truth. Let mess you say what? No,
-
that lady is thinking? How many of us are thinking? Is it
-
on the huge song type of song or the bad because house of Godma?
-
You think God is a bear choosing picking styles? Is it I like bettle
-
more than young and free because I'm not so young and I'm not free.
-
Everybody to praying to me, I have to answer that prayer. No,
-
Cory is saying, you guys are asking the wrong question. It's not about
-
that, It's about spirit and truth. So we hear the surf. Why
-
not a church so more hends can stack the chest together and let's learn from
-
each other. Photo who you're like, Yeah, I'm not even a question.
-
Oh my goodness, all right, you are the own nations, oh
-
generations. We want to reach and we want you to know Jesus like a
-
friend because he is you. Okay. The next time you ask this question
-
you okay. I pray you remember Unity, oneness, Kingdom. That's why
-
we're here. Amen. Thank you for listening to the Generations Church podcast.
