Hey there, you're listening to the Generation's Church podcast. We pray that the
-
word of God today will challenge, change and channel you into your God given
-
destiny. Now let's get started today. I'm going to appreciate to you on
-
a very simple, basic sermon, very familiar to many of you. John
-
three sixteen. It says, for God soul love the world that he gave
-
his only begoden Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but
-
have eternal life. A lot of times, right when we quote this,
-
and when we say this, probably a lot of people this is the only
-
verse that you memorize. It's enough calllel You know why, because it encapsulates
-
the intent of the son of God. You know, for God's soul loved
-
the world that he gave his only begoden Son. Today, I want to
-
tell you that we need to as a new church, as a new generation,
-
as generations, we have to reimagine the love of God. Why the
-
people in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament and welcoming the Messiah,
-
they could not relate to Jesus because they could not reimagine how God would love
-
them. They could not reimagine how the love of God could dwell among men.
-
So one of the things that we need to know is, yes,
-
God has done great things in the past, but we need to reimagine how
-
God is gonna love generations. Are you all with me? So you know
-
this? This passage was written by John, of course, in a conversation
-
with this man called Nicodemus. Have you heard of Nicodemus? So he is
-
a top high official religious leader, very intellectual, good in all his conduct.
-
But he went to Jesus at night, in the middle of the night.
-
Nicodemus went to Jesus and asked the question and ask how can I inherit
-
eternal life? How can I be part of the kingdom of God? But
-
when someone comes to you at night, what does that mean? He does
-
not wants to be seen to be associated with you. He doesn't want to
-
be seen in a social setting with you. That was why he was sheepishly
-
looking for Jesus and asking Jesus, how can I inherit the kingdom of God?
-
Jesus said, you have to be born again. A lot of you
-
would have heard of this conversation that nico Dimas said, how can I go
-
back to her mother's room and be born again. I'm already a grown man
-
and a doubt. It's impossible. That's why to Jesus he wants Nico Dimus
-
to reimagine love. Everyone says reimagine love. Come, I say, reimagine
-
love. We need to reimagine how can we be born again? So there
-
and then, in the conversation with this all revered, highly educated man,
-
Jesus said this famous verse for God's soul of the world that he gave his
-
only begodden son. You see, when someone shared with you a statement of
-
intent, I am here because that itself, it's like a vision statement.
-
But how does he lived out his life after? That is even more important?
-
Am I right or not? So if we want to understand John three
-
sixteen, My friends, then we need to know what happens subsequently in John
-
chapter four, John chapter five. After someone tell you that, hey,
-
I want to build a brand new church, how does he live his life?
-
How does she live his her life? You know, when someone tell
-
you that I am called to do this and to do that. I want
-
to be a tekwondo champion. My whole family we want us to get the
-
black belt together. Then you better watch their lifestyle. Do they go practice,
-
do they actually enter competition? Are they serious about what they're talking?
-
So when Jesus said that I love the world, you know, when God
-
sent me to love the world, then let's check what happened thereafter. Right
-
after John chapter three was a very familiar story for all of us. In
-
John chapter four, where Jesus met the Samaritan woman. How many of you
-
have heard this story before? The Samaritan woman. So what happened. Jesus
-
was on his way to Galilee. So Jesus was on his way to Galilee
-
from Judea and then he has to pass by Sikar in Samaria. What happened
-
was that it happened twelve o'clock. Remember just now, Nicodemus met Jesus late
-
at night. So this girl met Jesus right in the broad daylight at twelve
-
o'clock. So the timing in the Bible was very intentional written by John.
-
Why because John wants you to know that Jesus will meet you anytime, whether
-
it is at night or in the afternoon, Jesus will be there. He
-
went, and then while the disciples were out to get lunch, what happened,
-
So it was written here in verse five. So he came to a
-
town in Samaria, Corsica, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to
-
his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he
-
was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon,
-
about twelve o'clock, and there he met this Samaritan woman. So the
-
conversation was very interesting. The moment Jesus struck the conversation, the woman said,
-
hey, you are a Jew, I am a Samaritan. We are
-
not supposed to talk to each other. You have this kind of conversation before.
-
Where my wife came from a lord of their ethnicity. They don't talk
-
to certain people in different tribes. So it was like, why do you
-
want to talk to me? He said, I just I'm just thirsty.
-
Can I have some water or not? Dan there right, the conversation became
-
very interesting. I want you to focus on what was the content of the
-
conversation here He said, I am thirsty? Can you give me some water?
-
And he said, sure, sir, So Jesus that water, right,
-
Jesus drank that water. But what happened? Jesus said, it's a
-
pity. Why because after you drink you get thirsty again. What if I
-
show your water that after you drink you don't get thirsty anymore? Is that?
-
Kungan? No? Yeah, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
-
Is it, Kobe? You know? Okay, come on, get serious?
-
But he said no, So what is this water? He said?
-
I can give it to you, but you go and call your husband,
-
get your husband and come back. You know what this woman replied? She
-
said, I have no husband. I have no husband. I want you
-
to look at that conversation. And this is what surprised me while I was
-
preparing John chapter four, verse sixteenth, verse nineteen. He told her,
-
go call your husband and come back. I have no husband, she replied.
-
Jesus said to her, you are right when you say you have no
-
husband. Jesus, who knew or knows all things, knowing that she only
-
gave a half truth, did not judge her, did not condemn her,
-
did not try to correct her, but to say that, yes, you
-
are right. Sometimes someone says half truth to you. Are you able to
-
be this gracious? And I think that's very gracious of Jesus to not,
-
you know, say hey, you lie? Are you you say you got
-
no husband. No, Jesus actually said, you are right. The fact
-
is you have had five husbands and the man you now have is not your
-
husband. What you have said is quite true. Everyone says quite true.
-
I don't know whether you have read this before or not, but Jesus was
-
so gracious and say what you have said is quite true, sir. The
-
woman said, and see that you are a prophet. You know, sometimes
-
when we say you want to love people, but whenever they share something to
-
you, it is it. Come on, see what something tell me?
-
Then people are like and you come here to love me, or you come
-
here to be a detective, you know how that feels, or not?
-
Come a mom, so lily, how are you? How busy? Lord?
-
Actually you hurt that this person is dating someone and not telling you the
-
whole night. You're trying to dig something. You are actually not interested in
-
loving that person. You are actually only interested in finding out improved that person?
-
Wrong? Am I talking to somebody or not? So Jesus knew everything.
-
But yeah, what you say is quite true. Then the conclusion of
-
her is that you must really be a prophet. You see, guys,
-
when we love somebody, we need to learn to be gracious. What you
-
said is quite true, Jesus said Dan. She recognized that s it.
-
You must be a prophet. What happened here? I want to show you
-
when God says that he loves the world. The very interesting thing is that,
-
in a very rare occasion, Jesus admitted who he is as a messiah
-
to a Samaritan woman, to someone who is a non Jew that probably most
-
people will think will not be deserving of his love. That is why I
-
want you to reimagine the love of God. That the greatest revelation of him
-
being a savior and being a son of God is not right there in a
-
temple or right not right there at the political rally, not even at the
-
feeding of the five thousand, not there when everyone was watching him. But
-
he was there with a Samaritan woman by the well at twelve o'clock, when
-
nobody is watching. He actually revealed who he is. And how many of
-
times do we preach the love of God. We only preach when the attention
-
is on earth, when the stage is set right, and we're forgotten that
-
the reason that God has given his son is to those that are undeserving,
-
those that need an imagination of a future. Hello, you're with me?
-
That we need to understand that many times in the Book of Dawn, I
-
am a never Jesus did a miracle. He will say this, tell nobody,
-
because I don't want the attention. My hour is not yet. My
-
time is not here yet, My hour is not here for the son of
-
Man to be revealed. Yet again and again, he could have gained political
-
knowledge, he could have gained more disciples, but he chose to just stay
-
quiet and many times just just slipped away from the crowd to have no attention.
-
But here he acknowledged that I am the Messiah. But do you know
-
a lot of times generations, when we think that God will reveal his glory
-
and being a messia, we are looking for the spectacular. But today,
-
this evening, what I want to tell you is that God is not just
-
a God that can perform miracle, but God is also a God that is
-
all knowing and an old language who always say that God is omnition God.
-
You know how people feel loved? People feel loved when you know them.
-
Do you know how people feel loved? People feel loved when you know them,
-
and yet you do not judge them and yet you are present with them.
-
So one of the signs of Jesus being the God that loved the world
-
is that he is a god that is able to be there, knowing everything
-
about you, yet not judging you. And so many of times a little
-
information we know about soul, and so a little information that we hear about
-
this person's background from this church or from that company or from that school,
-
we already prejudge them. And Jesus went all the way. Do you know
-
the Samaritans are known as dogs. You know, during the olden days when
-
the twelve tribes were separated, the tribe of Juda and the rest of the
-
Israel on the Northern kingdom other kingdom were captured by the Assyrians. So because
-
the Assyrians will want to assert their power, they implement this policy called intermarriage.
-
So a lot of times the Jews are forced to marry the Assyrians,
-
to mix up their power, to mix up their culture, to mix up
-
their possessions and their business. So the Samaritans will greatly look down where else
-
the tribe of Judah will captured many hundred years later by the Babylonians pride themselves
-
as people that we will stand firm and will not bowed out to idols.
-
Will not do this, will not do that. No, even in the
-
lines, then even in the fivery furnace, even through any persecution, we
-
stand firm as the seat of Abraham, and we will not marry anybody,
-
and we will not bowed down to any idols. So because of that,
-
they has this pride about what they are works Christians. I'm talking to you
-
sometimes our trials and our pride is so much about our work, how well
-
we keep on to the law, how well we behave as a Christian,
-
rather than how much were depending on the grace of God. You know,
-
the older I get, the more religious I become. In twenty eighteen,
-
I left the church to venture into many other career. Not because I was
-
pursuing for another career of money. I just felt that I am in this
-
bubble. I'm in this bubble. Everything that I do, I can use
-
my hand and count how many non Christian friends that I have that I would
-
sincerely want to go and talk to. I am solving Christian problems, Christian
-
marriages, conducting Christian funerals, Christian wedding, Christian counseling. Everything is about
-
just Christianity. But isn't it true that God has sent us to the world.
-
You understand what I'm trying to say. That is why I, at
-
forty years old, I took a step of faith to ask myself, am
-
I of any value? If I go back out to the marketplace? And
-
then I want to tell you what one of the greatest display of God's power
-
is when God say I know you and I still love you. And that
-
was what he did to the Samaritan woman. If we read from just a
-
statement, we could not comprehend the love of God. But when you know
-
that this woman who had five husbands, what was she thirsting about? If
-
we are not present right, we don't understand what Jesus was trying to say.
-
She was thirsty for relationship? Where on earth? Who on earth will
-
marry? Five times? Just looking at the wedding planner, I also tired.
-
Ready, how many wedding exhibitions you want to go to? How many
-
makeup artists you want to choose from which pastor will conduct your wedding? Again
-
and again and you again? Ah cuts off the can I not like but
-
she did it for five times? You see? Why is she not giving
-
up? And why are we judging her? Oh, you are a slut,
-
you are a cheap person. You destroy marriages. But Jesus saw it.
-
You must be hungry, You must be thirsty. You must know that
-
as a woman you want to be loved by a man. But it's too
-
pity. Every relationship that got into you got thirsty again when you think that
-
you're so so close to somebody, but then you realize he is just a
-
man. She is just a man a woman. You understand what I'm trying
-
to say, Like the Digitus can't satisfaction until you found the savior, Jesus
-
Christ, who can be with you twenty four to seven. And Jesus said,
-
now you have found someone that can satisfy your thirsts forever. Isn't the
-
good news? So that's why after talking to Nicodemus, the first thing Jesus
-
did was to tell that I know everybody, and I still choose you.
-
And I went all the way, even though at twelve o'clock you don't want
-
to be seen by anybody by the well because it was so hot. Nobody
-
would go to the well at twelve o'clock, but I would go for you.
-
But then many times what stops us from experiencing that love. It is
-
this work called shame. Shame is not guilt, guilt is doing something wrong.
-
Shame is something wrong with me. And because of her past, she
-
was so shameful that she could not she could not go into any social setting.
-
And she would not go to the well in the morning with the other
-
ladies. She will not go to the well in the evening with other ladies.
-
She would just go twelve o'clock on the desert country. Why because she
-
was carrying shame. My friends, today, if you are carrying shame,
-
I want to give you this verse in first joint of the Tree, verse
-
twenty from the same author, John said, for whenever our heart condemns us,
-
God is greater than our heart. He knows everything. Can I have
-
an amen? This is the God that loves the world. Of course,
-
the result is such that universe. They nine to verse forty two. Many
-
of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony.
-
He told everything I ever did. So when the said when someone got exposed
-
for whatever she had ever did, can you be that proud of not?
-
She did? Because she met her savior. He told me everything I did
-
ever did. So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to
-
stay with them. So he stayed two days, and because of his words,
-
many more became believers. They said to the woman, we no longer
-
believe just because of what you said. Now we have heard for ourselves,
-
and we know that this man is really the savior of the world. What
-
a story. Revival starts with? How many people won? If you would
-
encounter Christ yourself, even though you're an outcast, caring shame, one of
-
you can bring revival to a whole generation. And then I want to let
-
you know. It didn't stop there after meeting this woman in John chapter four,
-
immediately while he was still on his way, a high official came and
-
met Jesus. And I think you know the story, and this this father,
-
I am a father, and this is very interesting that there is this
-
boy that's about to die. The father came to Jesus. It reminded me
-
of John chapter eleven. I think on the story of Lazarus, it was
-
almost the same story. People know that Jesus could heal, but this Jesus
-
spoke and the official son immediately God healed. Let me just read to you,
-
okay in inverse forty three, John chapter four, verse forty three,
-
what does it mean by God loving the world? After the two days he
-
left for Galilee. Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no
-
honor in his own country. When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcome
-
him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover
-
festival, for they also had been there once more. He visited Cana in
-
Galilee, remembered this story water into wine, but he turned the water into
-
wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Kapanum.
-
When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he
-
went to him and backed him back him to come and heal his son,
-
who was close to death. Unless you people see signs and wonders, Jesus
-
told him, you will never believe. The royal official says, come come
-
down before my child dies. Jesus go, Jesus replied, your son will
-
leave. The man took Jesus at his word and departed. While he was
-
still on the way, his servant met him with the news that his boy
-
was leaving. Then he inquired as to the time when his son got better.
-
They said to him yesterday at one in the afternoon. At one in
-
the afternoon, the fever left him. Then the father realized that this was
-
the exact time at which Jesus had said, your son will leave. Listen
-
carefully, verse with fifty five is crucial. Then the father realized that this
-
was the exact time at which Jesus had said, your son will leave.
-
So he and his whole household belief. This was the second sign Jesus performed
-
after coming from Judea to Galilee. You see the second part that I want
-
to tell you. God is not just all knowing. Guess what God is
-
all present? Many times, right we would think that we need God physically
-
to be there in order for something to happen. Today I want to teach
-
use this is a lesson on what prayer. When you pray, believe,
-
When you pray believe because this official son, this high official prayer. Going
-
to Jesus and talking to Jesus is prayer. Am I right? Having a
-
conversation is prayer. But you know what pray is not about your petition.
-
Pray is about listening to what God has to say. So when you go
-
to Jesus and you pray, and he said that I don't need to go
-
with you. You are done. It is done. Then you just leave.
-
But a lot of people to go to God with a prayer and go
-
to God with a standard model answer. If you were to bless me,
-
I will get my promotion at least twenty five percent. That's how you go
-
to Jesus. But this guy did not get the package that he wanted.
-
Yet he obeyed and went back to Captain. Are you able to live like
-
that or not? He said, Oh, that's too tough. Exactly.
-
Prayer is not about you talking to God. Prayers about you listening to God,
-
and God say, go you go. If I would imagine if I
-
am him, I would not listen to that part. Jesus, you didn't
-
hear me. I say, my son is sick. Jesus, go,
-
Jesus, you didn't hear it. It's not sick, it's very sick.
-
Come now, go Jesus. You love the world. Right, that's how
-
we go to God. You see, God, if you listen to my
-
prayer, this will happen. You'll make that girl like me? Yes,
-
God, No, other girl, only that girl. God say no,
-
develop your character. God, you didn't hear how much I love that girl?
-
Is it God? Make my boss leave the company? Oh? Oh,
-
that's your prayer. That's your stand up model prayer. If God is
-
real, God will do just like that. But prayer is not what you
-
say to God. Prayer is what he heard, even though it's tough.
-
I imagine he looked at Jesus manytime, Keller, Gola, no Wi Fi,
-
no one except Chad, no c C TV at home, you know,
-
don't have IG status, nothing. Just went back and the servant came
-
and met him and he said, sir, your son is well, that's
-
prayer. If God asks you to go, you go. You understand what
-
I'm trying to say. It's not about your corporate alignment, and say,
-
got your value aligned with my value? Can know there's only one alignment.
-
You aligned to His will, not my will, but yours be done.
-
So that's how God loves the world. He is lord of time and space.
-
We need to acknowledge that Jesus is the lord of time and space,
-
that in his time at one o'clock in his space, whether he is there
-
in Galilee or cappinum. He is the Lord of time and space, and
-
he performed his miracle. The question here for generations is this, are we
-
willing to align ourselves to God's timing and God's space in starting this church?
-
Are we willing to set the foundation right and not be anxious and say,
-
God, at your time, no matter what, we show up a prayer,
-
no matter what, we preach the word of God, unrelentlessly, uncompromisingly.
-
You are the authority God at your time, at your space, The
-
right people will come and you will grow this church. Are you all with
-
me? We're not here to build a brand. We're not here to build
-
even sometimes a legacy. No, we're here to build one thing, and
-
that is the Church of God. Are you with me or not? Because
-
it is only the Church of God that will continue on from generation to generation.
-
It is not your marketing campaign, It is not your fantastic programs and
-
events. It is one life at a time encountering Jesus Christ. So when
-
you say God loves the world, you are saying that God, you will
-
be the lord in this church, in your time, in your space,
-
bringing home closer to all of you. I want to ask you do you
-
have the ability to wait for something without getting angry or upset. I'm not
-
talking about turning the red light to the green light in your traffic moment.
-
I'm saying, are you willing to wait? Just like the disciples at the
-
Upper Room, just wait until you are undire. We power from on high,
-
and many times we can't because we cannot register that God is openly present.
-
Do you know, right as a pastor, how many times, in
-
different continents and different timing and different country I would text somebody and I want
-
to tell you this craziest that's so many about Can. He is a businessman
-
in Taiwan and he is on this stem cell research to board over a company
-
in Korea. And then the deal went very very complicated and complex. Ken
-
left us from Collective about five years ago. But time to time, when
-
he comes back for Chinese New and all, we will have gathering. And
-
then one day I just said, Can, I'm committed to pray for you.
-
I'll just let you know that I am here backing for you. Then
-
they're on. We don't catch up a lot, we don't talk a lot.
-
But for five times that I texted Can and I said, I just
-
sense that you are going through a hardship and I just want to pray for
-
you. For the five times in the span of that four or five years,
-
every time I texted him right he landed on the airport in in Jhon.
-
He said, it is getting scary. Pastor Keith, I didn't ever
-
tell you where I'm going. I say, it's not about me, It
-
is about God being with you. Don't underestimate your prayer when God drop a
-
name, when you're in a gem, you know, I say, Okay,
-
you know what VJ. I'm praying for you. You know, I
-
know you need peace. Sometimes I just I just I just call somebody.
-
I say, hey, what you're doing? What you call me? This
-
sign? Usually don't call me. No, I just sense I need to
-
talk to you. Man, damn scary man. I don't know man like
-
thank you for calling anyway, It means a lot. You just need to
-
know that God is openly present. You don't need to come to church to
-
experience God. He is everywhere. And finally, you should know where I'm
-
going. Right after John chapter four is John chapter five, where Jesus healed
-
and valid men at Joint chapter five. It is a story of this man
-
that has been laid there in valid for how many years? Thirty eight years?
-
You know, one who was there had been in valid. You know,
-
the word in valid is very strong. You know how sometimes in social
-
media they just label you in valid, and they just label you and you
-
are done, you know, in valid for thirty eight years. When Jesus
-
saw him lying there and learned that he had been there in this condition for
-
a long time, he asked, do you want to get well? And
-
this is funny, but a lot of people come to me with marriage counseling.
-
Right then, I ask them, so you want to say your marriage.
-
They will tell me, I don't know exactly true or not. I
-
don't know. I don't know. I would I would think that they would
-
say, yes, pasta help me. No, they said, I don't
-
know, I say he So a lot of people come to me. I
-
said, hey, past I'm spiritually dry and really I'm very far from God.
-
So you want to be back on fire? I don't know. I
-
don't know. So I haven't been serving for a long time. I really
-
feel that I'm getting further and further away from the church and the community.
-
So you want to come back to cig or you want to come back to
-
collect grow a life group or whatever you call it here, I don't know.
-
So it's the same. He has been lying there for the eight years
-
and joined the attention of being the invalid person. That everyone will past,
-
I said, And everybody will past, then, he says, Sir,
-
the invalid replied, I have no no one to help me into the pool.
-
When the water is being set, while I'm trying to get in,
-
someone else goes down here of me. Haven't we heard this? Haven't we
-
heard this? You don't You don't do well or not? Every time I'll
-
do something, someone cut me. Every time I want to serve godder.
-
My wife will fight with me every time. Every time I want to go
-
for a promotioner, my boss hires somebody else. Every time I want to
-
go for this competitioner, my teacher favor another person. Every time I want
-
to do this, someone will come, someone will cut me. You are
-
victimizing yourself. So God is asking you today this simple question, do you
-
want to get well or not? Because he is openly potent, he can
-
do it. So do you have the courage to say yes or not?
-
I think a lot of people they're not. I say God is going to
-
move in generations. Are you all ready or not? Wow? That means
-
many nights of serving again? Or you mean when we outgrow this place,
-
we need to have a building fund. You mean I need to give again?
-
You know what I'm talking about. Do you want to be a good
-
father or not? That means you're going to replace all his screen time with
-
you talking to him? You ready? The only could be a good mom?
-
Do you want? Do you want to get healthy enough? That means
-
for going all the banana leaf rice? Oh, no more sweet drinks for
-
the rest of you tree, nothing sweet normal boba? Do you want to
-
know? I can say God is all powerful, guys, God is able,
-
but he laid there for thirty eight years giving excuse us? How lie
-
everybody cut me? No, God says, I can't. Do you want?
-
So when God's when God answered my mid life crisis? Right I was
-
when I was turning forty. I thank God. I'm this like lion in
-
the church and all I think Monday onwards I felt like a cat, like
-
up like don't know, don't know where to go on Monday. You know
-
all pastors got depression on Monday. Suddenly we are nobody here. I just
-
can I be honest with you or not? We'll nobody will hide in the
-
room. And oh, anyone reposts our message on it's sad. And I
-
said, God, I don't leave like that. Why everyone is. I
-
just encourage him on Sunday not to have Monday blue. And I'm the most
-
blue, you know, like man, And I said, God, I
-
want to know if I have value or not. And I humble myself.
-
Go for training for free, talk to people, reintroduce myself. I remember
-
I was in this digital marketing company. I was telling Stephanie and then this
-
guy that is a regional director from India come and they said, I stop
-
you. What is a pastor doing in my office? I was shocked,
-
like you checking out? I said, oh, just trying to add value.
-
You're trying to be funny here. I said, no, man,
-
nothing funny. I'm just here to add value. Okay, go and do
-
your job. He sat at the back like an evaluator at forty years old.
-
I'm thinking, like man, I thought, I've done all this interview
-
and everything about life was just writing notes and all. At the end of
-
the day he came. He said, you know what, young men,
-
whatever you're doing, keep it up, keep this passion even when you are
-
successful. I hope you really today. What I sense is you wanted it
-
more for them than for yourselves. If you can keep this, you will
-
go places. I was shocked. I said, thank you, sir.
-
It's way older than me, way more senior than me. I took it
-
with as a compliment, and I told God, God, I just want
-
to continue to serve you Monday to Sunday, no matter where I am.
-
God is able. So ever since then He has opened up many doors for
-
me, many many doors. But do you want it or not? Do
-
you want to get well? Do you want your marriage to be healed?
-
Do you want your finances to get better? Do you want your health to
-
be in shape? Again? Do you actually want it or not? Guys,
-
I think you cannot cannot answer me confidently because you cannot really register that
-
God is all powerful who today we learn at one night when when when Jesus
-
went to Nicodemus, a religious leader, and said God loves the world,
-
that he gave his only begoden son, that whoever believes in him should not
-
perish but have eternal life. God demonstrated that love back to back. In
-
a quick sequence of action, he went to the Samaritan woman. He healed
-
the official son, He healed the invalid. But are you willing to recognize
-
that this is the kind of love that you're going to bring outside of this
-
church after this service or not? Would you dare to pray for somebody and
-
say, you know what? God knows everything. Maybe someone is struggling with
-
masturbation pornography. Are you are you? Are you willing to just say that
-
No, what you say is quite true. I struggle with that as well.
-
When I was younger. I was just telling someone today, there's a
-
couple three company owners came to my office. Funny thing is one of them
-
is a pastor's kid that has never gone to church for many years already.
-
Another one used to go to church but no longer. They came in.
-
They know I'm a pastor. Immediately they say things about Christianity and all.
-
Then I surprised them because one of them likes to keep fish. I say
-
you, Noah, When I was younger, I was so poor, I
-
love to steal fish. He got shot. Yeah, man teg team with
-
my friend. One will buy a bottle of chlorine. One ring git go
-
and talk to the uncle forever. I at the back, scoop all the
-
fish into my scoop my fish into my umbro back, and that I'll bring
-
the fish is the parrot fish that's caused twelve ringgit I would sell to my
-
friend at Trey Ringit. I came from a poor family and I wasn't a
-
Christian. They got shocked that why do you talk to me like that?
-
I said, because I'm not here to maintain an image of a pastor.
-
I'm just here to tell you I'm just like you all with all God,
-
I am lost. And many of the times when people come to me and
-
say, Keith, you don't know my background. You don't know how terrible
-
my marriage is. You don't know how much I have done in my previous
-
job. You don't know what kind of life style I used to live.
-
I want to tell you again and again and again. Now I'm walking with
-
three gentlemen that cheated on their wives many times. They have been cheating again
-
and again and again. But they will ask me out for meals again and
-
again and again. Why they too want to encounter God? And by the
-
grace of God, I just want to say this tree man has since been
-
clean and been faithful to their wives. And let's give God a praise because
-
they will not imagine. But where do I meet them, all three of
-
them? Not in church? No way they will walk into church. It
-
was after corporate and people stop you. I can see that in social media.
-
You preach on weekend. I said, yeah, I'm also a pastor.
-
So they begin to open up. Got one guy, I have so
-
many fust testimony. Got one guy and it invited me to a rotary club.
-
Then I go there and look at all the people, like, man,
-
you guys are double my age, and all of you are worth so
-
much money. Where am I here? Why am I here on a rotary
-
club to talk to you about what? True? Enough? After I e
-
speak right finish? Really, you know what they did to me? A
-
lot of that though it's a lot of people, and said, good job,
-
keep it up. I know I didn't do well. What can I
-
give back? On that day itself? Someone stood beside me and said,
-
you know what. For three months, I have downing a half a bottle
-
of whiskey. Otherwise I cannot sleep. I have been suicidal. And then
-
I remember when I was young, my mom brought me to church before.
-
I hold the Bible in my living room, my mom's Bible, and said,
-
only you can help me if you are real, reveal yourself to me.
-
There was Sunday night and Monday night a pastor sat beside him, and
-
he took it as a sign from God. And then he began to say,
-
I think God sent you to talk to me. I said, if
-
you think so, tell me. I've been sleeping with my gym instructor.
-
That's why you told me. And my wife found out. And my wife
-
sent to all my partners and all my colleagues and everybody. Two hundred and
-
fifty contacts sent out every detail of what I have done with pictures to destroy
-
me and sue me for one million, and I have no more hope.
-
You know what, Being in a rotary club is not about my talk.
-
It is about just there being with this guy. He gave his heart to
-
Jesus. Today he rebuilt his life and he began to be a Bible believing,
-
spirit filled Christian again. If God don't send you, who would he
-
send? For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son,
-
and we as children are also sent to be like Christ. If we met
-
as Samaritan woman, tell her God knows everything and God still choose you.
-
If you know of someone that's worrying about their parents in hometown, tell them
-
your prayer will work even though you are not there. If someone is worrying
-
about their young children overseas in college, whether they will do well or not
-
do well. They have no more control over their kids, tell them you'll
-
pray. God will work. If someone has been giving excuse us and invalid
-
for thirty eight years, tell them do you want to get well or not?
-
Because God can do it? Can I have an Amen? Generations,
-
this is a church that will display the love of God. Amen. We
-
are not here to play games. We're not here as a reaction to what
-
of our past, herd or whatever that don't need Get here and remember spread
